This product is not approved nor is it intended to be used in exterior applications. The manufacturer states “ROCKITE should not be used outdoors for anchoring in porous materials, such as brick, limestone and granite, when they are exposed to wet conditions.
For these types of applications use KWIXSET” Rockite was not intended for exterior use or to be used where moisture will be present. This is not the correct product to be using for exterior fences and posts.
For exterior fences and handrails you should be using a product approved for outdoor use such as Super Por Rok or Kwixset. On most job sites, an engineer will reject a cement/grout product if used incorrectly like this.
We have been warned from using Rockite due to this issue.
DIY mold for making walks, patios, courtyards, and terraces. No special skills required. Fill mold with concrete, smooth surface, and remove mold. Takes only minutes to complete a 2′ x 2′ section. One 80 lb.
bag concrete mix will fill a 2′ x 2′ section of the Walk Maker.
Env: development Two very large and very active dogs PLUS an itty-bitty yard EQUALS dead grass/lots of mud and red paw prints on formerly white carpet. As you may know, Hawaii is famous for its red dirt (the result of highiron content in the soil).
It didn’t take my dogs long to destroy our grass and turn the backyard into a red mud pit. I needed an inexpensive way to cover the red dirt without compromising the look of my landscaping. The Quikrete WalkMaker – Country Stone Pattern was the perfect solution! The Quikrete Walkmaker mold is made of thick and durable plastic so that you can use it again and again.
It makes a pretty sone-looking pattern that is easy to build and maintain. You will need slightly less than one 80-lb bag of concrete (we used the regular Quikrete kind) per mold section. You just mix the concrete, pour and pack into the mold, carefully lift mold, and reposition for the next section.
Each section measures about 2’x2’x2″ and you can fit the mold together a few different ways. The area that we covered was 4’x46′, so the whole project took about 3 days and many trips to Lowe’s for more bags of concrete.
However, the end result is a professional-looking walkway that is durable and aesthetically-pleasing. You will need to give your project a few days to a week of drying time. Before starting on this kind of project, please note that it will take some muscle to mix the concrete (we used a wheelbarrow and mixed 2 bags at a time) and considerable patience to tightly pack the concrete.
The more care you take, the better your concrete will look. Quikrete also sells color additives that you can mix into the concrete and a sealer (with or without color) that you can put on after a few months to further protect your walkway.
This is not necessary, but will extend the life of your walkway, especially if it is in a high-traffic area. I paid about $25 for our mold at Lowe’s, but you may be able to find one used on Craigslist.
Overall, the Quikrete WalkMaker – Country Stone Pattern is a great way to create an inexpensive and pretty walkway. I recommend this product to anyone who wants to add a little charm to their landscaping.
My Dad and I took on this patio/pathway project during quarantine. This patio and pathway took 42 bags of concrete and we were able to complete it within a week! (You could probably have it finished in less time if weather is on your side).
We mixed one 66 lbs bag of concrete with approximately 3 L of water. The mould is very easy to use! I would recommend this product.
Commercial grade high strength repair material for making structural repairs to horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces. Quick-setting cement is a uniformly blended, properly proportioned mixture of Portland cement, graded sand, and other proprietary additives, designed to provide a moldable, gel-like consistency requiring only the addition of water.
If the application is greater than 1″, apply Quikrete Concrete Bonding Adhesive to enhance bonding qualities. Use for making repairs to concrete curbs, steps, floors, pavement, walls, and concrete pipe without the use of forms.
Worked well. I wasnt sure if it would be premixed or not and I couldnt find anything out online. Inside the plastic bucket is a plastic bag with the cement powder in it. You need to mix the powder with water in a separate container, then apply.
If you have a large job to do you’d be better to buy a big bag of the mix. Instructions are printed on the side and were smudged and bit difficult to read. But just add a little bit of water at a time to the consistency you want, then apply.
Good product. It wasn’t as “quick” as I expected but hardened nicely after a day and cured after a couple. I repaired a broken corner on my septic tank lid so it was about 3 inches thick. I added some gravel as they suggested.
Commercial grade polymer modified, multipurpose concrete repair mortar for making thin repairs to chipped, cracked, or flaking concrete surfaces, and masonry surfaces. Adheres to concrete, bricks, block, and stone.
Trowels to a feather edge of 1/16″. Do not use in cracks less than 1/8″ wide or in expansion joints. For deep repairs on vertical surfaces apply in 1/4″ layers. Allow 2 hour drying time between layers.
Exceeds the compressive strength requirements of ASTM C-387. Ready-to-use, add only water. Coverage: 10 lb. will cover 8. 5 sq. ft. at 1/8″ thickness.
Quikrete 10 lbs. concrete mix is ideal for both structural and non structural applications over 2 inch thick. This ready to use product contains a blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel and other approved ingredients.
Quikrete 10 lbs. concrete mix is perfect for projects requiring a quality and general use concrete mix.
This product is good for small repairs. The instruction’s call for water was in error. To get the right consistency needed more water than the package indicated. Add additional water a little at a time until the right consistency is obtained.
it was easy to apply the concrete to the job at hand. If using for hands, wear latex gloves.
The 24 in. square patio stone is an easy addition to a patio or pathway. It is also great for step stones in a garden or for a walkway. Outdoor patios combine the best of interior comforts with Mother Nature’s loveliness.
Families can relax, play, dine, and entertain while experiencing what has always made patios popular: being outside. Your property can be transformed into an outdoor living room with a little imagination.
I used these to line the floor of my chicken pens. Every morning I hose them down when I let the chickens out to free range. Have them in the duck pen too. My bird life is far more pleasant not shoveling droppings.
Great at keeping predators out as well. Made walkways through the chicken yard with them too. Only problem I’ve experienced is when it’s extremely muddy outside there are a few stones that will send you mud surfing across the yard.
The product serves its purpose, and for the price, can’t complain. But the shipping. Or maybe the packing, needs improvement. Two of them arrived with their corners broken off. But it’s not worth the hassle of returning them for new ones.
They’ll probably show up broken as well. It would make sense to ship them and label the boxes as fragile. Or they’ll get tossed around. They were loosely placed in boxes with only some brown wrap paper, between two stepping stones.
Not the smartest way to pack something like this for shipping. I’m surprised they’re not all broken I’m pieces. However, again. I like the actual product, and intend on ordering more, except I plan on picking them up next time.
Rapid Set Mortar Mix is a high quality mortar that is suitable for vertical and overhead applications. It is ideal when rapid strength gain, high durability and low shrinkage are desired. Use Mortar Mix for general and structural concrete repair, stucco and plaster repair, 1-coat exterior plaster, mortar beds, underlayment and formed work.
Mortar Mix sets in 15-minutes and is ready to drive or build on in 1-hours. Durable in wet environments, it can be applied from 12 in. to 6 in. thick. Mortar Mix is a blend of high performance Rapid Set cement with quality sand.
Mortar Mix offers superior resistance to chemical attack. It is non-metallic and no chlorides are added. Mortar Mix allows the repair areas to be painted, coated or sealed quickly after application. Under dry conditions, water-based coatings such as latex paint can be applied after the product is hardened, which usually takes 1-hours to 4-hours.
Solvent-based and impermeable coatings such as oil based paint and epoxy can be applied in 16-hours.
This product is easy to mix and to apply. Holds well to vertical surfaces. I recommend only mixing half of the bag at a time if you are not a pro. It took me a while to get the hang of it and the first batch was starting to stiffen up.
You could add a trickle more water if this happens but I found it easier to manage smaller batches.
Absolutely I love & recommend this product! Very easy to work with although you must work fast as possible as it does harden quickly especially in warm weather or if you add warm water! You can use their additive product called ‘Flow Control’ if you need more time or a more liquid form, is great too! I not only use it for repairs around my house but crafts as well! One great thing is if you do run into to trouble, the good people from RapidSet are happy to help you out!.
I bought 1 bag and tried it out today. We are fixing an old concrete basement. After reading the reviews I decided to only mix up small amounts at a time. This worked perfectly. I mixed up about 4 trowel fulls with some water until I got the correct consistency.
(I watched a few videos so I understood what I was looking for). I applied it, then mixed up some more. Once I was ready to put on the next batch the first batch had partly set up. It was very easy to work with and I did not find that it set up too fast.
Just make sure you don’t mix up too much at a time and you’ll be fine. I am going to go buy a few more bags to complete the project.

QUIKRETE 10 oz. Liquid Cement Color Charcoal is used to enhance your cement based projects. Easy to use by mixing with water, then mixing into the dry mix, this color can also be added to stucco, sand topping and mortar.
QUIKRETE 10 oz. Liquid Cement Color Charcoal is integrated into the cement mix when used as directed, so the color will never fade away from your decorative projects.
Hello Everyone! I bought this product to somewhat shadow the white &/or gray hues of the cement repair materials I am working with for the exterior areas of my home. I am a first timer at this stuff, a woman at that, and I want to let you all know that I really like this product – I used a paint mixing stick to blend it in & there was no problem with even blending.
KNOW that if you want “BROWN” you will get brown tones varying/depending on how much you add. I am doing small areas at a time adding only a number of drops to small batches. The Dapp ready mixed concrete repair picked up more of a deeper shade than I had wanted, and, I could have used a few more drops added into the Quikrete Quick-Setting Mix – No problem though, I am only a beginner and although I made a few mild mistakes, I can’t say that I am unhappy with the colorant or the finished product.
– Best to mix small batches with different amounts of this colorant to conclude which formula is best for each area to be patched.
Quikrete 50 lbs. all-purpose gravel is a multi-use product for a variety of decorative and landscaping applications. This product has been washed and properly graded for consistency. It can also be used for structural applications when combined with other materials, such as Portland cement and Quikrete all-purpose Sand for making concrete.
Came out better than expected. Just keep in mind, use as little water as necessary as to much weakens the concrete and causes more shrinkage which will result in more cracking. Did need to make separate trip for additional product as it didn’t go as far as predicted.
Variety is key when looking for materials to get the job done. When an item can be used in a variety of applications you save room in your shed and save time finding the ideal item to use. QUIKRETE’s All-Purpose Sand is a washed, properly graded coarse sand ideal for a variety of applications and uses.
Bricklayers can utilize this material for brick paving to assist in controlling shifting and sinking and to provide a stable foundation. Ideal for winter months, this coarse sand can be used in conjunction with ice melt to add traction to snowy and icy pavement.
If concrete is needed for your project, mix QUIKRETE’s All-Purpose Sand with portland cement and gravel to make concrete for your next job. Plant enthusiasts can also benefit from using this sand in combination with potting soil to add air space and increase drainage ability.
Look no further for an all-encompassing product to help in a variety of ways at home, on the job site, and more. Use the All-Purpose Sand by QUIKRETE for your next winter season, planting session, brick patio installation, and more.
Initially, I failed to purchase this product at the Sauve Street outlet (Montreal) because they had none “in stock”. I had to settle with a local brand of “Kiln Dried Sand” by A. Boudrias Inc. and thought that I had scored a real deal because the Home Depot site listed it a only $3.
00, which was cheaper than the Quikrete Sand listed at $6. 85! However, I inexplicably needed to pay $9. 18, at the cash for the A. Boudrias stuff! I bought it anyway and came home, opened the well-sealed bag of this A.
Boudrias, so-called “Kiln-Dried” crap, and discovered that it was soaking wet and it must have contained at least 5% to 10% water! They must have mistakingly placed the sand in a sauna and not a kiln.
The next day I was able to find the Quikrete sand at HomeDepot’s St. Henri outlet and was delighted with the quality of their sand! Super Fine Grain & Very Dry!!! Great buy!.
Formulated to make structural repairs to any concrete, masonry or stucco surface that is 1/8″ to 2″ deep. Low sag formula for vertical and overhead repairs. 20-30 minute working time and unique properties allow sculpting of the material during placement.
Was in Canadian Tire buying a vehicle map light and saw they had this product I needed to finish a job I started the day before (but ran out of a competitor’s product which worked really well) – this saved me a trip to competitor and was happy.
Then I used the product. I added the exact amount of water as directed and it did not mix well in the bag and knowing these products dry fast I had to start working. So I spent time fighting to get poorly mixed product into the required areas (I should have returned the bag at this point, but time is more valuable to me).
By the time I had product in all areas (roughly 8 linear feet by half inch wide and deep) the earliest applied areas had dried and now I had dried mortar on the stones where it would normally be cleaned away before drying.
I was able to stiff brush away 80 percent of areas (prioritized visible areas and now have new spot for barbecue to sit on to cover the disaster) with massive amount of frantic scrubbing and sponging up.
To save a few minutes, I ended up spending over an hour of scrubbing and cleaning up. After using two different products, I don’t recommend this one to general consumer like me. The product did end up drying strong and will more than likely do its intended job, but was too much drama when compared to the other product I used the day before (easy to use for general consumer).
Use in hot or cold weather to repair holes and large cracks in asphalt driveways and pavement. Does not require heating or mixing, simply pour and tamp for instant surface use. Can be formed and compacted.

Quikrete 60 lb. Concrete Mix is ideal for both structural and non structural applications over 2 in. thick. This ready to use product contains a blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and other approved ingredients.
Quikrete 60 lb. Concrete Mix is perfect for projects requiring a quality, general use concrete mix. Color: Gray.
A quality mixture of sand, coarse aggregate and cementitious materials. For repair and building jobs where concrete thickness exceeds 2 inches (50 mm). Ideal for pouring footings, setting posts and poles, and building walkways, driveways, patios and steps.
When used as directed, SAKRETE High Strength Concrete Mix meets or exceeds the strength specifications in ASTM C 387. 60 lb. bag. Coverage depends on thickness of application.
The ideal concrete mix for sidewalks would be a mix that is strong and durable yet still easy to work with. A good concrete mix for sidewalks should have a high compressive strength, good abrasion resistance, and be able to withstand freeze-thaw cycles.
A concrete mix that is too dry or too wet will be difficult to work with and may not achieve the desired results.
