Best Coffee For People Who Dont Like Coffee (2024 Updated)

I drink way too much coffee. 6-8 cups per day is too much. That’s why I decided to reduce the amount of coffee I drink as well as caffeine. Herbal tea is nice but it definitely hard to change with it my favorite cup of coffee with milk.

But herbal coffee? Why not! Naturally caffeine free always is better than decaf. There are a lot of nutrients. Also its acids free to restore alkaline balance. Teeccinno is a blend of different roasted herbs.

I have begun my “less-coffee” journey with Vanilla Nut taste and this is absolutely great coffee alternative! The aroma and taste are absolutely stunning! I drink it alone or with milk. And this herbal coffee along with another caffeine free beverages helped me to reduce amount of coffee I drink from 6-8 cups per day to 1-2 with no energy loss.

I have bought this coffee on a number of occasions now. For medical reasons I want a low acid coffee but it seems to be impossible to buy this in the UK and I am forced to import it from the USA. What with postage and import charges this makes it expensive.

At the moment the exchange rate is very poor causing the price to increase even further. However, you do get a nice big bag for your money which lasts me for a long time. It is lovely coffee with a mild, mellow taste.

I recently ran out of this coffee and while waiting for my latest order to come from the USA, I was forced to buy a small bag of ground coffee from my local supermarket. I found that this tasted bitter when compared to Puroast and I did not enjoy it; indeed, I discarded it when my Puroast arrived.

I love this coffee and will continue to buy it.

I had to research this before I purchased it and thought I read that the hazelnut flavoring was natural or even the nut itself. I just opened the bag and I have a terrible headache and middle ear itchiness just from the aroma.

These are the first signs I get with my sensitivities to fragrance and other chemicals. The ingredients on the bag simply states “coffee. ” This product may be OK for those who do not have allergies to artificial flavors or even natural flavors from flavor houses.

However, I cannot recommend a brand that has such lack of transparency. I’m very disappointed.

This is an excellent instant coffee that I have been drinking for over 50 years but for the past year have not been able to find at WalMart where I have been shopping for the past 30 years. I have tried other WalMart Grocery and also superstores in neighboring states but they don’t have it anymore either.

They do have other Maxwell House products but not the Original Roast Instant. I only drink 2 cups a day and this has always been ideal because then I don’t have to make a whole pot and throw the excess down the drain or keep it hot all morning.

I am forced now to go to other “out of the way” grocery stores that do carry it and pay an exorbitant price. I am retired and on pension but am not ready to give up my Maxwell House Instant coffee. The other instant brands that WalMart carries have a bite to my tongue and not the smooth taste of MaxwellHouse.

Please talk with WalMart and get them to carry my MaxwellHouse Instant again so I don’t have to go elsewhere to purchase it from Kroger or Publix. I buy everything else on my list from WalMart Grocery and don’t want to spend the extra time and effort to go elsewhere–but I will to get my MaxwellHouse.

I find most decaf coffees to be bitter and have the aroma ( and there is no nice way to describe it) like dirt. I had read from an America’s test Kitchen Cookbook that their recommended decaf is Maxell House , and that recommendation is spot on! Upon removing the vacuum seal I got a pleasant aroma; notes of caramel and dark chocolate.

The aroma changed once i added hot water but i noticed It felt smoother to drink(maybe it was just my imagination since I was happy so far with this decaf and wanted to find one i really enjoyed to drink).

Overall a pleasant coffee experience this will be my go-to decaf coffee : ).

I think it’s very good! In fact, I’m sensitive to caffeine and react with jitters and anxiety and get headaches after drinking it routinely and then stop. So, over the years, I switched to Swiss water decaf.

Then, I learned that sometimes the bad effects from caffeine is actually related the toxins in coffee, not necessarily the caffeine. So, I tried Kion because it’s so clean. I have found I don’t get those bad symptoms when I drink this coffee.

I was down to drinking one cup of 1/2 reg 1/2 decaf because coffee was hurting my tummy and making me feel crazy. But now with the Kion coffee I can drink two yummy cups and still feel fine!! Open the bag and it smells amazing!! It took me about three days to get the water to coffee ratio right.

I think I use more then I would with ordinary coffee. But once I got it right it is soooo goood!!! I’ve had the medium roast Kion and it’s equally yummy but I do prefer the dark roast. I will definitely be ordering more.

You can really taste the difference with this coffee! No bitter or burnt taste like the over coffees – the packaging is just awesome. It’s insulated so no type of air will get in the bag and the bag keeps it fresh every single brew.

It took me quite awhile to find DF Kona because I was truly taste testing pretty much every coffee on my grocers shelf. One day I realized that I always seem to enjoy the coffee that I bought at my convenience store and fast food establishments.

I researched, and discovered that most of those coffees came from the Don Francisco family. Having narrowed it down, I then decided to try the different varieties of coffee they had to offer. The Kona blend was the smoothest and most aromatic, therefore my search came to a stop.

Great coffee. Taste and aroma are amazing. This is the flavored coffee I was looking for. I would order it again. One thing I want to complain is expiration data. Best before date was only two weeks away after I received this coffee.

I normally drink coffee with medium roast beans. I am not new to Vietnamese coffee, but only would have it when I was in Vietnamese restaurant. So, when a friend of me showed me the link to Nguyen coffee supply, I decided to try the kit with the phin filter.

The beans are indeed medium roast (light brown), but boy, they are full of flavor. The flavor is unique to the Vietnamese coffee. I follow the instruction and put two scoops in the filter and water for the first brew and then add more water for the 2nd.

This came out perfect for me. Again, very flavorful with hint of vanilla and nuts. I am hooked!.

The best coffee I’ve ever had was in Vietnam and I was hoping this would be the same as what I had there. For context, I’m an advocate for black coffee. I tried three different brewing methods: Chemex, phin and cold brew.

For the Chemex, I did not adjust the amount of beans in accordance to how much caffeine was advertised on the bag. After an hour, I felt coffee jitters. However, the taste was very mild compared to what I’m used to, in my opinion, it tasted like popcorn.

For the sake of authenticity, I made a cafe sua da with a phin. I thought it was very delicious, but as a person who prefers black coffee, I could not have this regularly. Lastly, I did the cold brew method.

In my opinion, I think this is the best way to extract the full flavours of this bean. It has a very chocolatey and caramel flavour, without adding anything extra. Additionally, it has a very clean flavour and mouth feel (if this makes sense).

If you have the patience, I would highly suggest doing this method, for it was the closest to what I had in Vietnam. I’m giving it 3/5 because the method I prefer takes the longest. If you like to add sweetener and/or cream to your coffee then this is a great bean for that.

To all the coffee lovers who are taking a break from caffeine, you HAVE to check this out. I’m an avid coffee fan, but as of recent one of my eyes have been twitching. So I’m cutting out caffeine (and getting more sleep) 😅 This was gifted to us by my boyfriend’s mom.

I forgot all about it until recently. I’m so glad I remembered. This decaf delivered such a flavorful cup, I’m in love! The hazlenut is very present. So if you like hazelnut, this is for you. Also, this stuff is healthy!! It doesn’t have the eye twitching side effects, you don’t immediately need to use the rest room after consuming, it’s not acidic.

You basically get an amazing cup of “coffee” without all the unwanted side effects that caffeine brings. I will definitely be getting more of this when I run out. 🥰.

Firstly, I am a coffee connoisseur. Secondly I bought a bag of this nonsense at the local supermarket. Thirdly I have enjoyed coffee that is genuinely strong enough to make you want to run a marathon in the morning, and this nonsense Death Wish BS “Worlds Strongest Coffee” is an absolute lie and not even close by a Long Shot! So here is a quick primer of what makes genuinely STRONG coffee: 1 – the beans are grown at Low, Hot altitude, aka NOT Arabica, but rather Low-Altitude Ultra-Hot Climate Robusta beans, for example the fields of Sumatra (some of the best beans and coffee in the world), and NOT high-altitude Columbian (garbage coffee).

2 – the coffee must be roasted SLOWLY at a modest temperature to get the oils (caffeine) to gently come to the surface, aka NOT Starbucks who roasts their beans at very high temperatures quickly because of the sheer turnover rate they have to produce.

3 – More roasting within the guidelines above IS better, aka NOT this myth that a “mild roast has more caffeine” – that is incorrect and not how it works. Perfect roasting for maximum caffeine takes time, and most major roasting companies do not work on that principle, but instead try to crank out as much coffee as fast as possible.

Having lived in a variety of countries and traveled to about 1/3 of this planet, I can tell you that the information above supersedes any marketing nonsense from any company. Also, for the record my comparison is by way of a 2-shot french press that travels the world with me, marked with an exact measurement for the “fill level” and always left to steep for about 15 minutes with a stir in the beginning and a stir at the end before pouring (can you tell I like double-blind science?).

I have had fresh cups in streets of Sumatra, the coffee fields of Laos, cafes in Italy, etc. I have bought bags of coffee around the world, including the infamous Luwak coffee which tastes excellent but admittedly is not very strong.

By comparison, a straightforward bag of Starbucks Sumatra Blend is FAR stronger than this nonsense Death Wish coffee. I have had numerous Dunkin’ Donuts coffees with more caffeine than Death Wish. Their claim itself, “World’s Strongest” is just plain False Advertising.

In short don’t waste your money, and when you buy a bag of coffee my recommendation is Indonesian (Sumatra, Mocha Java, etc), as their coffee fields tend to be low altitude and extremely hot. Read the label, and if it says “100% Arabica” it means the coffee will taste better but have LESS caffeine.

Labels that do not say that often are at least mixed with Robusta beans, which is where you will find the real caffeine. Old school Folgers and the strong coffee at Denny’s is mostly Robusta for example, for people (e.

g. Truckers) who need to Wake Up! Save your money and don’t waste it on this “Death Wish” absolute BS.

I have seen Death Wish Coffee for some time at the market and finally went ahead and purchased it. I have historically been hesitant due to the price considering the amount of coffee we go through at my house in a weekly basis, but with a name like Death Wish I couldn’t resist forever.

For perspective, I typically enjoy Kicking Horse Medium or Dark roast lately – and in the past have enjoyed the various Raven’s Brew blends such as Deadman’s Reach, Three Peckered Billy Goat, as well as Portland Coffee Roasters blends.

I was not pleased with this coffee, it is most definitely not worth the price of $20/bag. I wouldn’t be re-purchasing this coffee if it was $10. 99/bag. The taste is flat, and is like diner coffee. I was definitely expecting a more rich experience with more depth of taste than this.

I’m certainly not naive to coffee and enjoy it daily for the taste. There are much more tasteful options out there that cost less than half of a price of Death Wish. I’ll try the dark roast at some point but I feel like I might be let down there too.

I am an über fan of Death Wish Dark Roast Whole Bean for over 3 years now. I am a monthly subscriber, do it, you get a discount and a sticker (as you can see, it makes my containers look great. )! Now to the taste, besides Death Wish being on most major/credible year end “Top Tens” constantly, for a dark roast, that is usually bitter, this coffee has all the body of a dark roast yet, it’s smooth as cream.

As you can see in the image, I make pour over coffee. So this recommendation is from that subjective perspective. (I do not own am automatic coffee maker). I make everyone try it. they too are shocked at the incredible body/bold taste but lacks the bitterness of typical Robusta beans (which has the higher caffeine content, thus the marketing of strongest coffee).

Finally, as a retired “Marketing Ex” in NY SF, I give Death Wish a pass on the over hype/ of the “exact” amount of caffeine per serving (it’s impossible to state natures decision vs objectively an exact amount of anything has to be humanly manage and third party test for accuracy).

The caffeine for me and everyone I personally know is not overwhelming at all.

My son and I tried many different coffee’s. From store brand to pricey. Was for fun and to possibly find a really good cup of drip coffee maker coffee. (Last fun thing before son moving out, my husband doesn’t drink coffee,) We had already like Seattle’s Best “Breakfast”Blend Medium Roast Ground.

We also tried some of their others. This won still. For me, smooth taste. Not bitter.

I love all Seattle’s Best coffees. The breakfast blend is great to have on hand for guests, as it seems to please everyone. Honestly, I have had everything from Kona to Jamaica Blue, and Seattle’s Best is the best buy for your money.

It’s always consistently great, and costs way less than the other national brands.

If you’re a decaf drinker, read on! This is a review for the 100% Kona Coffee Decaf Private Reserve Medium Roast (no place to post this, and you need to know this is AMAZING!) Once upon a lifetime ago, I drank Kona coffee.

Unfortunately, caffeine and I don’t get along anymore, and I thought experiencing 100% Kona coffee would be but a fond memory. Then, while purchasing Hawaiian Islands Coconut Macadamia Nut Herbal Tea recently, I discovered this gem.

It is, without question, the smoothest, most flavorful coffee I’ve had in years. let alone decaf! Yes, it’s pricey, but I believe in treating myself well and enjoying things I love in moderation. This will be a staple in my home year-round.

My only wish is that I could buy whole beans because this coffee would be mind blowing as cold brew.

This product is fantastic. Once you start drinking 100% Kona you will never go back. Royal Kona is as good as any and better than most. The most important aspect is turnover and consistency. It required a company with resources to have both.

I do not like small family roasters. I want to know the product I get today will be the same tomorrow, next month and next year. Plus Royal Kona and Lion have a huge variety of flavors, types, grinds, roasts and packaging.

They are the biggest in HI for a reason.

Now this is some good coffee!!!! I added sugar free Chocolate Carmel coffee creamer and this mix is delicious. Great for an after dinner drink or heck drink it all day. It’s really that good!!!! Yum

I’m unimpressed – it’s barely drinkable, and definitely not lovable. The description on the bag had me expecting a medium roast, but this tastes like a light roast. Instead of “caramel, nutty, round,” the bag should say “sour, light, acidic.

” (for reference, I prepare my coffee with burr mill and ceramic pour-over, always drink it black, and my favorite beans that I keep going back to are Peace Coffee’s Twin Cities Blend. ) I am not a fan of the bag these Counter Culture beans come in, either – the edges are extremely sharp! I do not enjoy having to handle my coffee bag so carefully like it’s a game of Operation.

Who wants a papercut before they’ve had a sip of morning brew? I don’t usually toss beans, but I’m tempted to end the suffering and dig into a different roast without making it to the end of this bag.

I don’t understand the good reviews. This is one of the sourest coffees I have ever tasted. It is not “caramelly, nutty or round” I never write reviews but… yuck. We don’t waste coffee in this house, but I poured out most of the first pot we brewed.

We tried it the second time as cold brew and it’s a *bit* more tolerable but we will just keep it for when there is absolutely nothing else. Save your money. Honestly Folgers or Dunkin Donuts is better.

I bought this because of the rave reviews. I tried it first with nothing in it (as one should) and it tasted like watery decaf hotel room keurig coffee. I added plain cream and it improved marginally from “ew” to barely drinkable.

It’s possible people like it because they add cream and sugar. Definitely not for me (but I never waste beans, so it will be drunk- probably mixed with another batch of beans so it’s less gross). Things to note: I am a former barista and I have been tasting and drinking coffee for 16 years.

I have already ordered another kind of CC whole beans and I’m hoping to find one that works for me – sadly this wasn’t it. I recommend this solely because you might like it! Apparently I am in the minority hahaha.

I’m relatively new to coffee starting to drink it as an adult about 14 years ago. I’ve been very judicious in my selection from the beginning, drinking ONLY organic and preparing it myself from grinding to brewing at home with filtered water using the pour over as my preferred prep method.

Coffee is like wine in its complexity with resultant flavors coming from terroir, bean type, method of processing, altitude, growing conditions, etc. It’s no wonder why coffee has so many who delve so deeply.

After the relatively few years I was drinking coffee I’d have spans of not. I’ve finally discovered that I’m not able to handle/process the caffeine as it leaves me feeling pretty badly for a day or so.

I miss the flavor though. I set about searching for an organic, mold/toxin free chemical free decaf that I could venture back into drinking coffee again for its reported anti-oxidant health benefits and to satisfy my taste buds.

Enter Purity Coffee. After settling upon Purity Coffee I bought my first bag quite recently and am about half way through it (whole beans. ) It’s a pretty good coffee. I prefaced this review with coffee is much like wine.

in part this particular bean is not my favorite. When I was drinking coffee my go-to bean was always organic Mexican roasted light-medium, not medium-dark as Calm is roasted. I prefer the softer rounded mouth feel, lower overall acid and chocolate notes of the Mexican variety as yielded from the lighter roasting.

The nose on Calm is quite lovely and the flavor notes of chocolate and fruit are quite nice but the acid note is a tad too high for me. I’m not sure if it’s the bean variety or which of the other factors that makes for this experience.

I’d love to be able to try this bean roasted lighter to make a more relative comparison and I’d love to be able to obtain some green beans to experiment with roasting at home. It seems clear that Purity Coffee takes great pride and care in their product and that I deeply appreciate.

Prior to trying Purity coffee, I typically would drink around 3 cups of coffee a day, 8/10 I drink it black, always organic, “higher quality” brands, etc. , you name the brand, I’ve tried it. But it wasn’t until trying Purity coffee that I realized there is something seriously *wrong* with most coffee beans, including the “clean”/organic ones.

From a taste POV, most coffees are extremely bitter, no matter whether I would try light roast, med, dark, brewing it with the right temp, varying the size of the grind, fresh beans vs. ground, etc. Purity coffee tastes so so smooth, its incredible, it just tastes like what coffee *should* taste like.

Other brands would also irritate my stomach, and I found I needed multiple cups to maintain a sort of jittery/anxious energy. At this point you’re probably like. then why keep drinking coffee?? Haha if you have to ask, then you clearly don’t understand 1.

coffee is life, and when you have good coffee, 2. life is exponentially better. With that being said, I don’t have to drink as many cups with Purity coffee, in fact, sometimes I even re-steep the same bag in a day (and that’s mostly bc I’m in Canada, and fearful of running out), and I feel alert, awake and focussed, rather than anxious or jittery, I can’t feel any sort of energy highs or lows with this coffee.

And it comes in steeping bags, I mean genius! I can’t understand why this isn’t a thing with other coffee brands, it is so incredibly convenient. I ordered 10 boxes, and will most definitely be re-ordering another 10 soon.

Hi, I’ve been drinking Purity Coffee since Sep 2019. I had an autoimmune disorder and the purity of the products I consume make or break my health. I drink both the caffeinated and decaffeinated whole bean products and absolutely love them! They are smooth, reliable and delicious.

I like to make half-caffeinated by combining the beans. I feel a well-balanced affect from Purity Coffee but, just in case, I often take an L-theanine supplement/capsule with my caffeine intake. I’m happy to report that my autoimmune disorder has now gone into remission!! Vitacost has several options for equal exchange coffee. The trick for finding the right type of coffee (light, medium or dark) is to look at the gauge marked on the front of each bag. I prefer dark roast, so I chose the coffee with the gauge at the top.

This coffee is excellent! I used to buy an un-organic brand that happens to taste just like this coffee. The reason I switched is because, even though the other coffee tasted great, it was giving me headaches.

I am very sensitive to the foods I can eat. Everything has to be healthy and organic or I get headaches. So far, no headaches! I sometimes get headaches from food that claims to be organic, so I just have to test it and see.

This coffee is also fair trade which is a plus. Even though this coffee costs double what I’m used to paying, I will still continue to buy it for the quality. It also is the cheapest organic dark roast coffee that I found in my internet searching.

I drank conventional for a long time, till I learned it was one of the most heavily sprayed crops. I’ve tried organic coffees from here to there, this is by far the best tasting ( I’ve had the Colombian and breakfast blend ) even better than the conventional coffees, not to mention the peace that comes with knowing it’s free from pesticides and whatever other kinds “cides” that are used in conventional coffees.

I used to mostly drink Lavazza espresso brand at home. Just for reference, I prefer european espresso coffee over any other kind of coffee and don’t like any american brands or chains including Starbucks (very picky).

Bulletproof decaf was recommended me by my functional medicine doctor to stay on a certain diet and I was very anxious to switch from my favorite Lavazza to any other brand. I was pleasantly surprised by the Bulletproof decaf taste – not only does it compare well to Lavazza decaf, but it actually surpasses it in taste plus it’s supposed some health benefits, it’s a double win.

Unfortunately, the ground decaf is not fine enough for my mocca coffee maker and needed to be grounded more out of the package, so I started buying whole beans since I need an additional grounding anyway.

I have stayed on the Bulletproof decaf for 6 weeks and decided to stay with it for good, I like it a lot. I probably would still prefer grounded decaf just to skip on a grounding step should the company sell the espresso grind, but the taste of the Decaf is great either way.

OMG French Kick changed my Life! I was a coffee fiend in the early 2000s. I loved the whole thing fresh roasted beans the smell of the grind and then brew the taste the buzz everything. Then I had bariatric surgery then I started diarrhea regularly.

This was nearly every day for 2 or 3 years. I tried tap dancing around the real problem trying a swap of soy for dairy in my brew. Then changing sweetener brands and finally I came to the conclusion that it was the coffee making me sick.

I was crushed my best friend had turned on me. I changed to tea and my stomach problem went away. I wasn’t loving it but I got used to my morning tea. I would mention coffee making me sick or being allergic to coffee of an on for years until one day someone said “Is the coffee or the mold that you are reacting to?” Wow…an epiphany!!! I am actually allergic to mold.

I wanted to love this coffee. I recently found out I have mold toxicity so when I lost my home and belongings, I wanted to at least be able to enjoy a cup of coffee without worrying about mold. My nutritionist recommended bulletproof coffee since it doesn’t contain high levels of mold like most other coffee brands.

I am not very picky about coffee but the taste of bulletproof is so bitter I cannot drink it. I tried altering the amount of coffee I brew. I bought the creamer to pair with it, but it does nothing to counter the bitterness.

Even when I added regular creamer and my typical coconut sugar, I couldn’t drink more than a quarter of a cup before dumping down it the sink. So disappointing and a big waste of money.

I am actually from New England, and had never tried this coffee before. About a year ago I changed some of my diet habits, and one thing I wanted to change was how I make my coffee. I saw a TikTok where a girl recommended this Hazelnut Crème flavored New England coffee, she said it’s the only coffee she’s ever been able to drink black.

I got myself a bag and never looked back at cream again! She was right. It’s smooth, not bitter, and has the perfect amount of nuttiness. The “crème” aspect must lend a hand to the deliciousness, because I’ve tried other Hazelnut flavored coffees and they aren’t the same.

Definitely give it a shot!.

When my local place had trouble receiving deliveries, on a whim, I searched for New England Coffee and was happy to see Target carries the brand. This Breakfast Blend is a milder medium roast and never gives me reflux.

That probably sounds comical, but with aging has come indigestion. I can’t drink a dark roast anymore, but I like some flavor. New England makes a quality product for a good price, and Target’s delivery is fast and reliable.

I’ve been a huge coffee critic for decades. I’ve even done blinded taste-testing. I travel a lot, and like to sample coffee from different roasters across the country. No matter what I taste, or what beans I buy (to try), NOTHING is better for me than the Viennese Dark Roast coffee.

Folks who visit me also comment on how good the coffee tastes. I’ll still keep trying other ‘local’ roasters, but I will never find a better coffee than this one. BTW…. I usually end up mixing my Viennese Dark Roast with these “trial” bean to try to make them taste better!.

Love the “flavor” of Mocha Java. Would be happier if they brought back the mocha java decaf, as well. Also, would love to have CBTL grind the beans once again. It is very burdensome to have to grind myself, and I hate that I have to mix the mocha java with another coffee, it dilutes the lovely flavor of the mocha java.

please bring back mocha java decaf.

I have been ordering Bali Blue Moon coffee for several years. It replaced the tanzania teaberry coffee as my favorite. It is usually flavorful. This order I opened my first bag and it tastes like oregano.

It’s just horrible. This might be a one-off but I’m now wondering if the other 3 bags I ordered are going to be horrible tasting like this one. I really hope not, my morning coffee is important to me.
