1. Pitbull Platinum Pro Head & Face Shaver with Bonus Blade
Innovative design for maximum comfort.
Shave in the Shower.
Shave Anytime, Anywhere, with No Mess.
No Nicks. No Cuts.
The rotary shaving heads make fast work of your stubble, allowing you to safely shave in any direction.
Pitbull Platinum PRO is equipped with a signature patented innovative ergonomic handle which offers easy grip and perfectly fits your hand to ensure comfortable and intuitive shaving of your head and face.
Thanks to the unique design, the shaver easily gets to all touch to reach areas ensuring impeccable results. The Skull Shaver Pro blades come in three styles: Carver, Forte and Baron. If you had a favourite in the 5 head, you can simply choose the same style as the PRO blade.
Carver features dual cutting rings and flat foil mesh. Carver is recommended for coarse hair. Forte features dual cutting rings and beveled foil mesh. Cutting performance between Carver and Forte is similar, although Forte will feel smoother as it glides across your skin due to the curved and beveled foils.
Forte is our most popular and is the best choice for most people. Baron features three cutting rings per shaving head: two with S shaped openings, and one cutting ring with dots. Those with sensitive skin and fine hair will love this style.
If this shaver were to break, I would replace it with the same one almost immediately. The shaver is easy to hold, light weight, discharges slowly, and cleans up afterwards very easily and quickly. I bought this based on a recommendation from a friend.
I have been buzz cutting/trimming my hair at the lowest setting on my trimmers (0. 8mm) every week or so for the past year. I was getting pretty efficient and could do the trimming process in less than 5 minutes, but the clean up time afterwards took too long.
I was looking for a simple, repeatable solution to keep my hair very short and speed up the clean up time to almost nothing. The pitbull was the solution. I run the pitbull every 3 days and it takes about 5 min to shave my head and face.
I’ve shaved with and without shaving cream, and the shaving cream does help smooth out any irritation issues. The trim is closer than a buzz cut but quite as close as a blade cut. The sides of my head get a very smooth to the touch feeling but the rest of the areas are just slightly prickly.
It takes about 3 days for my hair to grow back out enough to look like the buzz cut I was doing. There are places on my head that take several passes: edge of hair line just in front of/over my ears, hair line behind my ears and down towards my neck, beard hair under my chin and down the front of my neck, and just under my nostrils.
There are likely several reasons for this but they tend to be in tight areas where navigating the 4 rotating heads is difficult and/or I haven’t developed the right technique for those areas yet. I would like to try the three headed blades on my face at some point to see if that does a better job.
I was less than impressed with the baby beast and beast pro clippers. There are better and cheaper options on the market for beard, hair and body trimmers.
This thing looks good, feels good, and does a pretty awesome job on my skull. I use it wet with a shaving creme for daily shaving. As long as I settle in and take my time, it doesn’t leave anything behind.
It cleans easily under water, though it takes more than the stated, single, 5-second dip to get clear; usually 3-4 times in the tank. It loses charge at 5 percentage points per day. After using it daily for over a week, it is sitting at 60%.
It came fully charged and I haven’t plugged it in since I got it. I used it one time on my neck under my beard, and that was a mistake. Most of the red marks from that are starting to clear up. For the price and the appearance, I was expecting a stainless steel body and head stem, but it is all plastic.
That helps make it lightweight, but I find my hand wanting more substance. It is quiet enough so you don’t have to worry about waking the other monks when you are shaving. Overall, I would recommend the style.
I haven’t used the less-expensive models, but I wonder whether the features of the Platinum PRO are worth the price difference. Like the other models, this comes with one of the shaving heads, with no chance to try the others out, but when it is time I will replace the stock head as it seems well-suited to my nut.
Bought this for my husband for Father’s Day- there was a bundle with the beast clipper and the baby beast trimmer. He used the beast clipper first for his hair (no attachment) and beard (6mm attachment).
Then followed with the platinum shaver for a closer shave on the head (the shaver is perfect for weekly maintenance). The design and presentation on these items is just fantastic, not only they look SUPER COOL (they look fancier IRL) but the performance on both is amazing.
No irritation on the head (Note- this was his first ‘close shave’) and he was very happy with the ease of use, and how fast he was able to go over all areas (in matter of minutes, which was not the case before).
They also come fully charged- you can take them out of the box and use right away. The only item we haven’t tried is the baby beast trimmer that came in the bundle, but we might save it and gift it to someone (either one of these would make a great gift for a loved one, or for yourself!).
Absolutely worth the money!!! I ordered additionally another blue travel case for the clipper (the platinum shaver already comes with one!). If you’re on the fence- go for it, you absolutely will not be disappointed!.
Wahl 5 Star Series Cordless Senior is a one-of-a-kind clipper with its precision fade blades, metal bottom housing, and cord/cordless capabilities. Its powerful rotary motor results in consistent power to tackle thick hair.
The 2191 blades are adjustable with zero-overlap capabilities. High-quality lithium-ion battery with 70 minutes run-time per charge and its ergonomic design fits comfortably in hand for easy maneuverability.
I have been cutting my own hair for many years and have used lots of cheaper brand clippers in the past. I had recently been using some Babyliss super motor Clippers which I had thought to be a good piece of kit but they became a little wet when my son accidentally poured bath water over them, they immediately started to malfunction making me think that they probably were not a genuine product as I had purchased from ebay site.
I wanted to replace them for something professional that would give good results and would also be reliable, I had seen a lot of good reviews on the wahl senior but also seen a lot of fake products from China knocking about so I decided to bite the bullet and come direct to wahl.
I was torn between the magic clip and the senior but I settled on the senior for the superior build quality and classic styling. Just used them for my first haircut and I could tell right away that they are a much better clipper than the babyliss they replaced.
Much more comfortable to hold in the hand and they don’t roll over as you follow the contours of your head, they have a nice balanced weight to them and have given me the result I was looking for and nice even cut even around the ears was easier due to the clippers being less bulky in the hand.
Looking forward to using them on my little lad when he is ready for his next cut and for many more self cuts too.
This is a well built clipper feels premium in your hand. I learned to cut my own hair during the lockdown. I now can cut my hair to a good standard as good as my barber did it. I have stopped going to the barber since 2020 start of the pandemic! I initially purchased a magic clipper which was a really good starter clipper.
I decided to buy a cordless senior the difference to the magic clipper is that the back of the housing on the senior is made of metal it feels heavier and it is more powerful. I found that I prefer the blade on the senior as the magic clipper has a staggered tooth.
Overall Wahl customer service is great and their products are made of high quality. The cordless senior and cordless magic clip both are great clippers I would suggest buy any of the two depending on your budget you won’t regret! Remember the senior come with premium guards which for the higher price to the magics are worth it.
Wahl Arco Cordless Horse Clipper, Champagne; With the Wahl Arco Cordless Horse Clipper, you’ll get a professional cut without having to deal with tangled cords. This cordless clipper kit is ideal for intricate finish work around the fetlocks, bridle path, face and ears with blade sizes #9, #10, #15, #30 and #40—all in one blade.
It’s cool running, lightweight and extremely quiet with no vibration to make grooming a comfortable experience for you and your horse. You’ll get the performance you need with 5,500 strokes per minute and a continuous run time of up to 80 minutes.
This kit includes two NiMH batteries, a five-in-one adjustable blade, a charging base, a durable storage case, four guide combs, blade oil, a cleaning brush and instructions.
This is not the same quality Arco Wahl clipper that they made in the past. They are no longer made in Germany. This clipper is made in Hungary. The charger base is cheaper made…& batteries did not last very long.
Not sure if the battery quality is poor or if the cheap charging base ruined both batteries. I have an older Arco cordless and charging base from early 2000 made in Germany that is still working and going strong.
It has outlasted this one (which after a year -when the warranty runs out by the way!) by far! A little over a year and with limited use both batteries were no longer charging to last more than a minute to three minutes at the most.
The clipper is an awesome cordless clipper but is of zero use without battery power to support it. I’ll include my OLD charger that is still charging my batteries like a new charger…& the crappy charger that now comes in this kit…& apparently ruins batteries?? Or the batteries are cheap.
I am not a pro groomer so I can’t speak to this item’s use day in and day out but as a home groomer for a cocker spaniel and a yorkie, this quiet and efficient shaver/trimmer gets a+++ from both dogs.
The fact that it adapts to shave or trim quite easily using the same blade is great. The head is large enough to make clipping quick but still get into tight spots. The blade is sharp so that there is no pulling and so that it can be used to clip through mats (gently please) without giving a razor burn or pinch.
I see that it recommends to stop occasionally to allow the head to cool but I have never experienced it to heat up (i guess we take enough repositioning and rest breaks to keep it from overheating. ).
Additional “5 in 1” blades are readily available and reasonably priced. The blades really don’t wear out quickly if you clean and oil the shaver as directed after each use. Cleaning is a breeze (unlike with fixed blade shavers) and so it only takes a minute, literally, to completely clean both the shaver and blade assembly and oil the bade assembly.
The blade easily and quickly slips/clicks on and off the shaver. The shaver gets about 90 minutes of life out of the battery during normal use and the batteries recharge in less time than stated in directions so it’s nearly impossible to run out of battery between the two that come with the instrument.
as they start to age, of course, this may change. The shaver is so quiet that grooming is not the trauma it used to be with cheaper shavers. I always had a fight trimming around the face and between pads and the efficiency and stealth of this has all but eliminated the issue.
It is easy to hold and the round body facilitates holding it to achieve any angle of attack. It is light enough not to be awkward but has weight distributed well to handle comfortably. In other words, its a great fit for home groomers and the efficiency and noiseless operation reduce the pet’s stress.
To begin with; I am not a professional groomer, but I am not a beginner. I have groomed my high-strung little guy for years. I have trusted Wahl for human and animal products. I have owned these for approximately a year and used them 4 or 5 times.
They are completely useless at this point. The main issue is the housing where you slide the battery in is not tight enough. They have never been dropped, but by the vibration, the seams have loosened so when the clipper is turned the battery will lose contact and it slows to a crawl.
When it did work decently (1st two cuts) it took both batteries to finish. Just a garbage product, and not cheap. I broke down and bought a cheap clipper online, China made and it cut beautifully and only used 15% of the batter life for the same job.
I try to buy from American companies but this was an awful experience. I should have just set $125 on fire on my lawn, same thing.
The unique 180 rotating head of this Philips hair clipper makes it easy to reach every part of your head, for an even and precise trim every time. Simply select the best angle to comfortably reach all parts of your head without any assistance.
The steel blades of the electric shaver lightly brush against each other, so they sharpen themselves as you trim! The blades stay extra sharp to always cut hairs neatly and effectively, but have rounded blade tips and combs to prevent skin irritation.
Turn the wheel to simply select and lock in the length setting you want. Three adjustable combs provide length settings from 1mm to 30mm, with precisely 2mm between each length on the main combs and 0.
5mm between each length on the precision comb. You can also use it without a comb for a close 0. 5mm trim. Precision trimmer for fine details to perfect your style.
The cord/cordless clipper kit has a powerful rotary motor for constant speed control with integrated rapid power of 5,500 strokes per minute. The clipper and blade are constantly cool running and its amazingly quiet with low vibration.
Wow, these are amazing and well worth the money. They are super quiet and don’t stress my dog out. My 18 month old Miniature Schnauzer was hating going to the groomers so much, I decided I’d splash out on these to see if he would tolerate me trimming him instead, and he does.
They will soon pay for themselves in money saved on grooming fees. The changeable length is really useful, and being cordless makes the job so much easier. I used to own £25 Wahl corded trimmers that were noisy and awkward to use.
This is the best mini clipper on the market. It is easy to hold and shaves small faces and feet with ease. It is very quiet and does not get warm. The blade speed does not change throughout the shave and battery life is long.
100x better than any palm clipper that uses regular batteries. Replacement blades are available, however with good care and maintenance they will last a very long time. The BravMini along with the Bravura clipper create a wonderfully groomed dog.
Perfect clippers for pro groomers and those of us who groom our own animals.
Engineered tough to last. The Remington Virtually Indestructible All-in-One Grooming Kit is made with a heavy-duty polycarbonate shell for long-lasting durability. Plus, two attachment heads, 5 Snap-on combs, and an adjustable comb give you everything you need to look your best.
The full-size trimmer features self-sharpening stainless-steel blades for premium cutting performance and maximum efficiency. The nose and ear hair trimmer attachment handle the details in sensitive areas.
You can choose from six guide combs to find the perfect length on facial hair and beyond. The lithium battery delivers maximum power for consistent, high-performance trimming with up to 90 minutes of runtime.
I was supposed to receive this kit free from the WalMart to use for two weeks and write a review on my experience. They sent the kit to a previous address in another state that I had moved from, so I never received it from them.
Since it seemed like a really good beard trimmer, I purchased one on my own. Having owned it for the past year or so, I have been very pleased with the performance. I have been using beard trimmers for about the last 40 years, and I know it is difficult to find one that you are satisfied with, and I have owned ones from other companies like Wahl and Braun.
This trimmer is, far and away, the best I have ever owned. My only complaint is with the clear plastic trimming comb. It’s not all that indestructible, and the tension that keeps it in place while you are trimming loosens considerably rather quickly so that when you press it against your face, it slides all the way down to the lowest setting.
I have had to use the single combs instead of the adjustable one even though I prefer the adjustable.
Keep your horses and ponies looking sharp and styled with this affordable clipper set. Complete with all the accessories needed for grooming. Compact and lightweight, take them anywhere. The adjustable features allow to make the blade have a shorter cut or a longer cut.
The blade lever gives you control at your thumb for easy adjustments with one hand. The lever allows you to gradually change the closeness of the cut without any attachment comb. 17 Pieces.
Did the job. Or, rather, my girlfriend quickly mastered it. Anyway, we opened the box, oiled the cutting blade area as instructed, went with the most conservative cutting attachment, and I wound up with a “coronavirus cut” that was acceptable.
To be sure, it didn’t match “Great Clips” quality (all an old, balding guy like me ever needs), but that was my girlfriend’s first time, so she gets four stars while this kit gets five. I like the color-coded clipper attachments.
At a minimum, they build confidence in the user’s sense of “proceeding safely. ” The included scissors seem cheap, and we didn’t use them because I bought a separate, 3-scissor set (wanted good thinning shears).
Helpful Tip: Don’t wait for your hair to grow fully out. Start out using this as a “thin and trim,” because mistakes will be most pronounced if you or your lady cut and thus style a fully grown out head of hair.
I’ve usually been able to go about 50 days between cuts, but we did this at 35, and there was thus less anxiety. I did notice, about 12 or so days later, that she’d failed to layer-cut a couple areas toward the rear of my head.
She’ll learn, though, and we’re gonna go back out on her porch every month now, to cut it at the thin-and-trim level. I’m also glad that I was able to shop for price and found a demonstrably better deal here on Ebay than elsewhere.
Just what we needed during COVID-19. My wife used to do my hair when I was in the military, but when I retired, she retired from cutting my hair. But, now, with the Coronavirus, we are watching our exposure.
So, when we needed new drivers license pictures, this came in really handy. I would have rated it 5 out of 5 stars, but that goes to the Kirby Vacuum cleaner air driven/vacuum hair cutter. You see, one of the things that my wife dislikes the most about cutting my hair is the fine bits of hair everywhere.
A system that employs cut and vac in a light weight attachment to a small air tube seems to be the Gold Standard for us. This product is just shy of that by a whole star. That being said, good luck with manufacturers ever getting innovated in thinking outside the box enough to go with Kirby’s concept.
For now, and the past decades, this is your better bet; not too heavy, costly, or difficult, but just right in the ways that you might want.
easy-to use clippers. A little heavy, but not terribly so. I cut my son’s and husband’s hair; first-timer luck. Great results!! The color-coding was helpful on the blade guides. The quality of the blade guides and comb were lower than expected; some of the tines got warped out of alignment during shipment.
I had to use pliers to bend them back into alignment, and be very careful how to overlap the tines when I put them away for storage. The scissors seemed exceptionally lightweight, but I was amazed at how sharp they were and how well they cut hair.
Overall, we’re super pleased with our purchase. There were lots of hair-cutting video tutorials on the wahl website, but I actually found the general hair-cutting guidance provided in the package insert to be the most helpful.
EverGuard coated blades create a non-stick, smooth surface Lightweight and comfortable Round tip for safety Best for facial trimming and sensitive or hard-to-reach areas ConairPRO Dog Round-tip Shear has coated blades which creates a non-stick, smooth surface which makes trimming hair easier.
It is lightweight and comfortable. This scissors has a blunt tip for safety purpose. Features This Shear has a round and blunt tip which had been designed to improve safety and also has coated blades which are non-sticky and smooth.
Product Dimensions 5″ : 9 x 4 x 3. 8 inches 7″ : 10. 5 x 4 x 4. 5 inches Intended For Ideal for trimming hard-to-reach and sensitive areas.
I absolutely love these scissors. The are extremely sharp and very easy to use. I live the rounded tips which make them so much safer to use with your dog. I do not really understand the reviews which say they are poor quality as nothing is further from the truth.
I use them to trim around my poodle mix’s face between grooming. The cut perfectly straight lines very easily and are so sharp I can cut the tiniest area with ease. I saw the reviews about fingers not fitting well in the scissors but I have no issue at all with that.
I also do not understand that feedback because I compared these scissors to two pair of hair trimming scissors we have for trimming my son’s hair and the hole sizes for the fingers are exactly the same size so these are just standard size finger holes for hair trimming shears.
The scissors portion is about 4” long. This is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. I highly recommend.
These are hands down the best scissors to trim or cut mats of your four legged friend. I took in a feral cat that had a mat these size of my fists on her back. Neither my big scissors or small ones were sharp enough to cut it off.
I had to do it in stages and it took forever. Poor girl. I ordered these based on reviews and they are awesome! Very sharp so use them carefully but when my long furred dog or cat gets a mat these cut them off with one quick snip.
They don’t run from me any more when they see me with scissors. Buy them!.
I found these scissors to be a great way to neaten up my dog’s appearance. These are not for taking out big mats or tangles. They’re really made for doing finer work like finishing a groom or trimming small areas.
I like that they have nice, rounded tips, so if my dog decides to shake her head while I’m trimming her ears, I won’t accidentally cut her. The scissors feel good in the hand, and the hook on the outside of the handle adds leverage and control.
Grooming hair clippers suitable for use with both cats and dogs. Have an easy to clean, adjustable ceramic cutter head. Can work continuously for 5 hours. Visual LED power display allows you to easily monitor how much power is left.
Cradle charging design helps increase charging speed so you can start grooming faster.
Anyone with multiple pets knows how grooming fees can get really high and hard to manage. I have used a Clipper that I’ve had for a long time and it’s always been a hassle and left a mess which made grooming time more of a burden for me.
Another issue that my other Clippers would have is they would get hot fast making me feel rushed to finish fast or having to turn the Clipper off to give it time to cool off before continuing. A friend told me about this item so I decided to give it a try and I have to say that I LOVE it! It comes with multiple Clipper pieces to adjust the length you want to cut which is great for me since I have long haired dogs as well as short hair dogs.
My absolute favorite part is that it’s cordless!!! YES, CORDLESS!!!! I wish this product was out years ago as it would have made such a huge difference in grooming time. No more dealing with cords and getting tangled or limited to one area.
I was able to groom my dogs in my backyard and walk around easily as they laid down comfortably without any interruption. This will definitely be a game changer for the grooming time in our household! The charge seems to last a long time.
A couple hours into working with it and the battery is still good. This was worth every penny!.
This is my second this type of trimmer. I trim my dog every month and I have tried so many trimmers for the past years. I would recommend this type better than store over counter trimmers. This trimmer do great on two very important criteria, one is this never overheating during the cutting because we don’t want to burn our dog skin, I used it 1.
5 hours per cut, performs nicely. I used to have a very expensive famous brand trimmer, that burned like crazy no matter how they commercialize it. Second is that this cut fast, which means the motor is powerful enough comparing to $40 trimmer, I tried those as well.
Cheaper trimmer is more designed for paws. I hope they can provide substitute blades, not plastic guides. I would say the plastic guide is pointless for pets. So use the blade directly.

Read lots of reviews and watched a few YouTube vids looking for a decent set of professional clippers. These are very nice clippers, they seem well made, they are quiet and I especially like the lever control to change the length of cut.
The weight is ideal and they fit comfortably in the left or right hand. I went with the cordless model so I could use them outside which was a great decision. Ive used these twice and they have worked flawlessly.
I bought these to cut my own hair and with the addition of the wahl professional guards, Im having great results. These will see minimal duty and may last the rest of my life. Ill probably never go back to a professional barber.
Really nice product, not worth the inflated price I paid BUT it’s a sign of the times I suspect. I’ve not cut hair in some time so I did not have any equipment, and as we all know there is a need for it now.
Hence my purchase. It’s quite solid and is very easy to use. It runs strong, and does what it is suppose to. It does NOT pull hairs and maintains it’s battery strength. I did three adults cuts (military) and it did just fine.
High an tight and 3/4 high fades. However, I wish it had more attachments. It only comes with a 3 or 4, I can’t remember of the top of my head. The fine work around the ears went well as did manual fading.
I have been a licensed cosmetologist for over 20 years. I work in a fast-paced barbershop. These clippers are superior to every other clipper I have ever used. The battery life is long lasting and more powerful than I expected or even imagined.
Even on the thickest of hair, it cuts with the greatest of ease. The chrome outer case is a definite plus. They are not only beautiful, they are extremely light. I would definitely recommend these clippers to anyone , anytime!!.
Millers forge pet nail clipper durable plier-style nail clippers are a must-have for every groomer. Quality-made of stainless steel to withstand years of use. Feature comfortable red plastic grips and a spring-loaded cutting mechanism for more positive cutting action.
Built-in guard can be moved into position to prevent the overcutting of the nail, and there is a lock to hold the trimmers closed for storage and maintenance. Nail clippers can be used for just about all sizes of dog, except very large breeds.
Bought these many months ago and have been using them regularly since my puppy is quite anxious, we’ve only seen the groomer once. I’ve never cut dogs nails before so I was very nervous but these have been great and we haven’t had anything go wrong! She tends to bite at her nails and paws a lot (sensitive skin causes her to bite if I don’t clean them daily) so there are rare times that her nails have chipped or fracture slightly.
It’s always a worry for me but these clippers have never failed to make a clean cut, even on nails that look much worse for wear. I highly recommend these, especially for the price! Unfortunately last week, the grip began to slip off while I was cutting her nails so I had to fully adjust how I hold them in order to finish cutting her nails.
I’m not sure if I just got an unlucky pair, they get worn down very fast, or that these simply have a relatively short longevity. I read they were supposed to last a couple years if maintained well but it seems I’ll be ordering new ones very soon.
I still think these have worked amazing for the price and am okay with buying another pair (hopefully the grip stays in place!).
These worked for me in a pinch when I was super broke, but now that I can afford better ones I’m tossing these. They are sharp, and they stayed sharp for about two years of intermittent trimming. They still slice cleanly through the nails of our Border Jack, English Staffordshire Terrier, and Pitbull.
However, there are a lot of cons. The handles are very small and don’t give a good sense of control. Not just small, but thin and flat. It feels like there’s nothing to hold on to. I’ve had to do a lot of awkward angles to see the dog’s nails AND feel confident snipping without worrying about the clippers slipping or twisting in my hand.
The red grips slide off the handles as you squeeze them, so you have to stop to push them back on. The nail guard does not stay put. It is way too loose and just swings out of the way from gravity alone.
I’ve never been able to use it. The blades started rusting after about 6 months of being stored in dry areas. I can’t recommend these clippers unless you are really broke and really need clippers. They are the cheapest clippers I’ve ever seen, both in price and in quality.
I have an 80lb boxer who needs his nails trimmed once a week. With this frequency, all of my past trimmers have dulled within a few months. He also hates getting his nails trimmed so I can only do it while he is asleep.
The consistent problem of large dog nail clippers creating a loud clipping sound when squeezing them shut often wakes him up and I only ever get to a few nails at a time if I’m lucky. These trimmers were a game changer.
Being a medium size trimmer, I was skeptical that they would be able to handle nails his size, but I was so wrong! They slice smoothly and silently through his nails like a hot knife through butter, which allows me to get through most of his nails before he slips back out of his REM cycle.
Unlike other trimmers I’ve used, they feel just as sharp now after several trim sessions as they did the first time fresh out of the package. I’ve been through Epica, Bissell, and even the large size Miller Forge trimmers, and have been disappointed by how quickly they went dull.
These little trimmers do not let up. Although they feel quite delicate in my hands, especially since I am used to large styles with thick handles, they are more powerful and require less effort to use.
I like how the quick guard can be moved completely out of the way, since I personally don’t find that feature particularly useful, especially when I am trimming from odd angles. The safety stop can be a bit of a pain if you tend to flick your wrist after trimming, since it will slide into position with this movement, but I’ve learned to keep my wrist still and it really hasn’t been an issue.
I can’t believe I wasted so much time and money on various large nail trimmers that had to be replaced every few months. These affordable little guys really pack a punch and make trimming my boxer’s nails a breeze.
At the price alone I’d recommend anyone with a dog this size to give them a whirl.
I purchased the WHAL trimmer with high expectations, and I can say with all honesty that my expectations were met. The trimmer comes in attractive packaging that is contemporary and has a an easily understood description of the functions.
When I opened the box to use it for the first time it had a comfortable feel to it and has easy to use controls. It’s simplified color-coded Key on the trimmer makes it easy to select the proper comb for the trim length one would like to use and it;s easy to replace the combs on the trimmer.
It seemed a little loud when I first turned it on but I got used to the sound over the several times I have used it so far. The blade trims my hair very effectively and I’m able to groom very precisely with the contours of my face.
So far I’m impressed with the battery charge as I have used it numerous times and the battery has maintained its power consistently. Cleaning the trimmer is a breeze as I just used a damp washcloth to wipe it.
So far I have no complaints and in fact would enthusiastically recommend the WAHL trimmer to someone looking for a high quality, precise and reliable trimmer.
The Andis Nail Clipper – Pet Grooming Tool is ideal for all size dogs. It has heavy-duty, stainless-steel blades and spring loaded action. The blades come sharpened and heat treated for strength and optimum cutting.
It has an anti-slip, easy grip handle for safe and comfortable grooming and a safety stop to prevent over-cutting. Safety lock on handle for safe storage.
I have 5 cocker spaniels and they do not like having their nails trimmed. I had a guillotine style dog nail clipper that was not doing the job. I researched for a dog nail clipper that was heavy duty and could properly trim thick dog nails.
The Andis Pet Nail Clipper was the most recommended online. I was amazed at how easily the Andis pet nail clipper did the job. The blades are very sharp and the cuts were smooth and clean. My dogs hardly noticed their nails being trimmed.
I highly recommend the Andis pet nail trimmer. It made an ordeal I dreaded doing into a simple grooming nobrainer.
My old pair of clippers is going on three years old, so I figured I should get a new, sharper pair. I saw this brand had better reviews than my other pair, so I figured I’d give them a try. Unfortunately, they do not work my 50 lb dog.
First off, these clippers are almost twice the size as my previous ones. They are not very easy to hold in your hand or use. Secondly, I do not find them to be the sharpest clippers, and my pup dislikes this pair even more than the last.
Lastly, the nail guard seems to leave wayy too much room – it is not flush against the clippers, but actually bends away from them. I am very worried I am going to cut the quick of her nails with these.
I have put these aside and will continue to use my old pair for the time-being.
These toenail clippers are very solid, sturdy, sharp and well made. I handle them comfortably and confidently in my larger woman sized left hand. And my Labrador Retriever, short legged Beagle and Chihuahua mix, hesitantly trust me to keep their nails clipped.
(True, they don’t know about the styptic powder I ordered along with these clippers;) So, since I’ve been entrusted to cutting their nails without pain involved, I do my best to live up to their expectations.
I can see the Yellow Lab and Beagle’s quick quite well in the sunshine, or a lantern flashlight beneath their nails (not easy). But, the Chihuahua’s nails, however, remind me of black long grain rice.
But since these clippers are sharp and easy to handle, I use the same rule of thumb: if you definitely can’t see the quick, just clip off the pointed end of the nail, 1/16 of an inch at the most. And they do have a guide to keep you from cutting off too much.
This is sufficient to cut the nail and gain the confidence in your pup to let them know you know what you’re doing, (?) so you will build their trust needed for the next time. The Blessing is, the quick in each nail will slowly recede over a long period of time of just clipping a little bit at a time on a regular basis, perhaps once a month.
In summary, these are excellent clippers for my Lab and Beagle. And although the advertisement says the clippers are for dogs of all sizes, they are awkward for me to cut the nails on my Chihuahua’s small, fragile “chicken legged” feet.
I need to get her smaller clippers. But for the stockier small, and medium and large sized dogs, I think these are really the Best!.

These worked for about 4 haircuts. They worked well despite them being relatively inexpensive. Then while I was finally cutting the hair of my very brave, but very touch and sounds sensitive son, they got EXTREMELY LOUD.
They weren’t pulling hair and the blades looked correct. I turned them off and they came back on and sounded normal. This happened 3 times until he couldn’t handle it any longer. We hadn’t gotten far at all.
He was so upset and it was hard to salvage the haircut. I looked at it and I haven’t found any reason this would happen. They are not dirty and the blades are straight. This was very frustrating and set us back on progress we had made with his confidence when comes to haircuts.

I never review stuff online, but I came back 2 years after purchase to recommend this product, it’s only fair given how well it’s served me. I bought this 2 years ago in April 2020 as with lockdown we couldn’t get the the barber.
We’d never cut hair before, but this set is easy to use and quickly got the hang of it. 3 people in my family have been using it ever since, every roughly 4-6 weeks, I haven’t been to an actual barber since, even after lockdown finished! I’ve saved hundreds of dollars in haircuts now we can do them at home.
I was surprised given the price how well it’s lasted and how sturdy and quality it feels in the hand, all components still working as well as they did at the start. Highly recommended!.
I feel like I just bought a Barber Shop Station. This is a very heavy duty clipper made just like the old days and built to last and very durable. It has a power adjustment screw and thick steel blades.
They included oil for the blades, 10 different attachment combs for hair Trimming & Shaving, eye brow, & Left & Right behind the ear, plus 2 regular hair combs & scissors for hair cutting. Also comes with a little brush to clean the hair out of the clipper, all in a plastic kit box to store in.
The plug-in clipper is a lot heavier than my little cordless Norelco G370 trimmer, but I don’t have to recharge it. And is sure to last at least 10-15 yrs. The attachment combs are made of a bendable flexible plastic and will outlast my Norelco G370 attachment combs that were made out of a hard see through plastic that ended up snapping the teeth off of after ageing.
The only non-perfect thing I can see with the product is 2 of the 10 combs have a curved tooth and got miss-shapened in the storing of the combs, but will still work. The scissors cut for trimming, but are not professional like the clipper is.
This plug-in clipper has 9 watts of power where as my cordless Norelco G370 has 2 watts. I would say this weighs just under a pound where my Norelco Cordless G370 is feather light. Big weight difference.
This pet grooming clipper is the best I have ever owned. Light weight easy to hold for long periods of time. I used this on a big dog with a thick matted coat. It was quiet, never pulled the hair. It saved me sooooo much money my grooming her at home.
The cost of 2 grooming paid for the clipper and my dog was more comfortable with me doing the clipping. My friend actually said my job was better than the professional groomers! I read many reviews and had a friend who groomer her own pets pick this for my thick coated dog.
She said you wont beat the quality of Wahl and she was spot on. Care- I kept it oiled as she suggested and kept the cord neatly rolled when not in use. Apparently cord care is important. The 14 foot long cord is useful if you aren’t a professional and groom your dog outdoors with just a leash.

I bought these to replace my 2 year old ARCOs that were falling apart. Although the trimmer is comfortable to hold and look nice, thats about the only positives I can find. The blade appeared blunt straight out of the box with only the middle settings actually cutting effectively.
They are no quieter than the ARCOs and don’t vibrate any less. One of my own dogs (schnauzer) hates them near his ears and I’ve been clipping his ears for 7 years. The charge doesn’t last as long as stated and you need to keep it docked on the charger between uses.
The blade is quite stiff to remove for cleaning and not easy to relocate it back on the clipper. They don’t appear to clip as cleanly as the ARCOs and quite often find myself covering the same area several times to get a clean clip as it leaves tufts of hair.
Plus the little cleaning brush was missing out of the box!! Very disappointed especially as they are sooooo expensive compared to other trimmers.
When it comes to clipping a poodle, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, you’ll want to make sure you have the right clippers. There are two types of clippers – electric and cordless.
Electric clippers are more powerful and can clip through thick coats quickly and easily. Cordless clippers are less powerful, but they’re more convenient since you don’t have to worry about cords getting in the way.
Next, you’ll need to decide what kind of clip you want. There are several different types of clips, each with its own benefits and drawbacks. The most popular clip is the continental clip, which leaves the poodle’s coat short and even all over.
This is a good choice if you want an easy-to-care-for coat that doesn’t require a lot of maintenance. However, it’s important to note that the continental clip does require some touch-ups every few weeks to keep the coat looking its best.
If you’re looking for a clip that’s a little more unique, you might want to try the show clip. This clip leaves the poodle’s coat long and flowing, which can be stunning to look at. However, it’s important to note that the show clip requires a lot of upkeep – you’ll need to brush and comb the coat daily to prevent tangles and matting.
No matter what kind of clip you choose, the most important thing is to make sure you’re comfortable with it. Be sure to talk to your groomer about your options and ask for their advice before you make a final decision.
