Today, I called Customer Service & I am returning this apron as “defective”. Return fee is to be waived so except for the effort of returning, this purchase will get a full refund. From a distance, the apron is pretty & entirely suited to Christmas time.

However, holding the material up to the light, the weave is not tight. Porous material means some food residue involved in cooking, serving, & eating could slip through to clothes below. The neck strap is adjustable through two thin & small metal “loops” or “rings”.

Chintzy. The size of the metal loops is very small (& in fact the neck strap is very narrow). I get the neck strap adjusted to the correct size but the loops are so “chintzy” that nothing holds together.

The neck strap falls to a longer length. I tried repeatedly to make it work but I cannot get the neck strap to stay at the length I need. (I buy a lot of LUG bags from the Q. Amy Rickter puts amazing & “QUALITY” hardware on all her products.

The apron people need the same quality hardware as LUG uses. ). The next thing I noticed is, the apron is too long in the torso. When I get the straps tied around my waist, there is plenty of room on length around my waist.

However, there is a ballooning of the material in the torso. I own at least 20 aprons (collect for all seasons, in many pretty colors/designs just because I like aprons) & I have never run into this problem with the excess material at the torso.

??? Finally, the “sewing” has a problem. I have a sewing machine & am not an expert. However, when seams are sewn, there is a thing called “tension” between the “top thread” and the bottom thread. If the tension is not balanced between the top and the bottom thread, there will be an uneven seam either from looking at the top or looking at the bottom.

or sometimes you can see it from both sides. THE TENSION ON THE SEAMING OF MY APRON WAS NOT BALANCED IN MOST OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE APRON. In fact, in one part the “stitching is already broken, undone”.

In using and washing this apron, it would not take too long for the seams to become “undone”. Besides, looking unprofessionally sewn, the apron seams would sooner than later become undone. I would have to take the original stitching out and resew the apron.

These are the reasons I am returning this apron as DEFECTIVE and giving it a One Star despite the 5-star review of the first customer. Now, perhaps the apron I received was a “fluke”. However, I have tried to be honest and meaningful in my review.

I bought a beautiful ikon creme knife set but the block the gave me is hideous. I don’t mind natural variety in wood but parts of it look like it came from different types of trees. I asked to exchange it for another color and provided photos of what was advertised versus what i received and they refused to do an exchange, and also said they couldn’t see a difference between the ad photos and what i received.

I wish i could add photos but am unable to here for some reason. I paid $800 bucks and they wouldn’t exchange it even though it was still wrapped and they had the other block color available on the website.

I think they have a lifetime guarantee on the knives but they dgaf if you are happy with the whole product. Will send this particular purchase right back where it came from.

The chefs knife on its own is a good knife for small hands, it’s well balanced and stays sharp. But it’s no replacement for the fully forged version. It doesn’t have the weight or control. Regarding the paring knife, it’s a lightweight knife and too small for my hands (I’m 6’5, big hands).

It feels like a small steak knife. Does stay sharp though. The sharpener drags the score down. Its taken chunks out of some of my knives with the honing side. The sharpening side works ok, but if you are buying for the sharpener I’d avoid.

Good value overall on deal for approx $130 at Myer. I’d not buy at full price.

Admittedly I bought this because I now have a vast collection of Yeti drinkware. And oddly enough each one serves it’s own purpose. Yes, I could have easily just bought the lid/straw and put it on an applicable sized rambler, but where’s the fun in that? I intend to use these in the hotter months where I can pour some mixed drinks into one of these.

I really like the feel to these – the surface has a very very slight texture to grip it, keeps the drinks cold and they look awesome. It’s just a very clean design and a well built product that doesn’t look feminine (as these cup/straws often do).

You also don’t have to worry too much about dropping it as it’s lightweight but still feels like a tank.

I ordered a 26 oz Rambler tumbler and the additional lid for hot beverages. This was on Feb 6. When the cup arrived it was clear to me that it was too big to hold comfortably and the straw was much too wide- like a straw for a milkshake.

Not for me. Disappointed, I packed the items back up in the same packaging and initiated a return. On the 18th I received confirmation email that they had received the items and no further action was needed from me.

On the 22nd I received a refund for the spare lid but nothing for the $35 (+tax) tumbler. I have written them twice to ask for either a refund or the tumbler, as I am now out nearly $40 with nothing to show for it.

It’s now March 12 and they have the cup and my money. Each time I have written they have stated they would look into it, but there has been no follow up. I will not do business with this company again (and I still want my money back).

This was given to me as a gift, and I use it daily. I have the lid with the straw which is my favorite part of this cup. Amazingly it fits in my car cup holder in my car, as well as many other vehicles.

It’s easy to keep clean too. I accidentally left it on the roof of my car once and the whole thing toppled to the ground, bouncing off the road and into the neighbor’s yard. The only damage done to it was the lid had a rough edge, so I replaced that, and there is a small dent/scratches at the bottom edge of the cup.

I can’t believe how well it held up. I also set it next to a campfire for about 10 mins without thinking (dumb idea). The outside metal did get hot enough to burn my hand, but my drink was still ice-cold.

The lid didn’t even melt (got lucky there 😀 ). It’s an amazing cup!.

My Yuletide plaid apron is getting so much use here during the holidays. The apron is fully adjustable and would fit almost everyone! I have about a 26 inch waist, and this fits me perfect. You can even fold down the top and make this a half apron.

The pockets are really handy and pretty deep! The material is very thick and washes well. The plaid pattern is timeless and will be a staple for me during holiday cooking and baking. My husband even commented how cute this apron was!.

I don’t often look for cute when dealing with an apron, but this one still hits the mark. It is also very functional. The apron has pretty full coverage so I can avoid the flour marks all over my clothes when baking.

I have an old pair of budget Bushnell 10×50 binoculars. My family and I recently got interested in birding, and it was time to upgrade our binoculars. These have exceeded expectations and are so much better than our old pair.

I particularly like the wide field of view and a contrasty and colorful image that these produce. Focusing mechanism is also very nice, and these can focus much closer. I thought about getting M5 but was convinced by a wider field of view in M7.

We took these out for a walk in the woods, and observed many birds. Now we want to go out and use these more! What a nice incentive to spend time outdoors.

I have been using a Nikon Aculon binoculars since 2012 when I started birding watching. I wanted to upgrade my binoculars and I couldn’t think of any other brand other than Nikon. So I chose this Monarch M7 8×42.

The build quality is fantastic being solid and has a great feel. The focus is butter smooth. The optics are super clear and crisp. For the price I don’t think you can get a better quality binocular. I highly recommend the M5.

I love to be in the kitchen teaching my daughter recipes my mom taught me. I was excited for my new DII Assorted Blue Market Chef Set to arrive. I love the fact that I now have an apron, oven mitt, and potholder.

These are well made and the pattern is nice. I am thinking about getting another set so that my daughter and I can match when cooking together in the kitchen. The one thing that I am not a big fan of is that on the apron you have to tie it behind the neck.

I would prefer an apron that had this a fixed size that you don’t have to mess with tying. I kept getting my hair tied in the knot.

I recently started baking with my daughter and even though she’s the actual Baker, I end up covered in chocolate and everything else. I decided that an apron would be a good idea. This apron came with a matching oven mitt and pot holder and I’m loving the pattern! I do wish that the material was a bit softer, but maybe once I wash it won’t be so stiff.

Also, I wish I didn’t have to tie it around and my neck, that’s a bit of a pain but otherwise I have no complaints. This is a really cute set and I’m very satisfied.

The pictures on the site made me think that the apron fabric would be thicker and of a better quality. It also doesn’t have the best appearance aka the apron is crinkled on the bottom and middle. The pot holder is durable and great for using to pull a pan of delicious food out of the oven! The oven mitt is rather thin though and I could feel heat immediately when trying to remove same pan I used the pot holder for.

Overall, not too bad but still a bit disappointed.

Bought to replace my lost 26 oz. with the “original” cap. The metal band at the top gets cold when ice is inside the bottle. This suggests that there is heat transfer happening which did not occur with the 26 oz.

It matters less that the ice melts quicker since 18 oz. will be consumed quicker. Still, you expect a YETI to be a YETI and if I wanted to pack it for later this would be an issue. The narrow circumference of the 18 oz.

makes the chug cap seem superfluous and it adds considerable overall weight. Seems like it is more than twice the weight of the original cap. When empty it feels top heavy. I wish the chug cap were optional.

I didn’t look at the pictures closely enough to realize that the cap cannot be screwed in WITHOUT the chug portion attached. And (I’m speculating here), maybe the thin clear plastic of the chug cap that screws in to the bottle is less insulating than the original thick black plastic which is why the metal is cool to the touch and ice melts faster.

I also purchased a 64 oz. with chug cap at the same time but am withholding my review until I see if it has the same heat transfer issue. If it does, I would still use the chug cap, but again wish it were optional and that an original cap were available for purchase or we had the option to choose at time of purchase.

I don’t even see the original cap as a purchase option. Hopefully this isn’t the case. Why fix something that isn’t broken?.

I was encouraged by good reviews here but I’ve had this grinder for over a year now, and I really wish I had just spent a bit more for a better model. In my experience this grinder produces a very uneven grind, almost comparable to an electric blade grinder.

It also takes a comparatively long time to grind the 16-17g I use for a cup, probably a good 1-2 min of effort, so if you tried to grind beans for multiple servings of coffee with this, it would be very inefficient.

Although ease and time for grinding is dependent on the bean roast and hardness. The screw style grind adjustment is imprecise and hard to keep track of. The glass base is hard to screw in, on mine it catches on the threading and requires a good bit of force to fully screw in.

The glass base also slips out of the rubber “boot”, and is too big/awkward to comfortably grip. I have to sit down and hold it between my thighs. I do appreciate that the components come apart easily and are easy to clean.

Will this grind your coffee? Sure, but it’s not worth the cost. Either get a cheap blade grinder or get a more expensive, better functioning model that’s worth the extra investment.

Good grind quality (I use drip only). Took a while to get used to gripping wide body. Rubber base not useful at all, does not hold in place. Tried a slimmer mason jar but had to really work on getting the grinder to connect to it.

The threading is not correct between base and jar. Finally got it to work by just pushing the grinder top all the way down on mason jar as far as it would go and then screwing it tight. Mason jar is easier to get a grip on.

Grinding is much easier than my Bialetti which finally broke (tabs to connect base with grinder wore out) and I like that. I tried several motorized grinders and find them loud and inconsistent grind along with the static issues everybody complains about.

I will use the Hario until something breaks and then go back to the drawing board to find the best manual with the most ease of use to replace!.

The Hario Mini Slim had been a part of my morning for more than ten years. When it started acting funky, I bought the Skerton Pro. After over a month of daily use here are my experiences. The rubber slip-on base is a nice idea, but it just slips off.

I can’t use it. It’s designed to provide a nonslip surface for the base on the counter when grinding. But because it takes a good amount of force to turn the grind handle, it’s just not ergonomic to use it sitting on the counter.

I have to pick it up and hold it to grind. And the base just slips off. Holding it presents another problem. That is, it’s difficult, not impossible, to hold the grinder with one hand and grind with the other because of it’s size.

And I have large hands. I tried sitting at the kitchen table to improve the angles, but not much better. In addition, the clear lid fits loosely and wobbles and rattles while grinding. Seems it should fit more snug.

Lastly, the glass container is nice, but the inside has a lip , making it difficult to get all the particles out of it. In a way, I miss my Mini Slim. There are lots of pluses about the Pro model, nice handle, large capacity, storage lid, die cast handle.

And it grinds nice and consistent.

I saw one of these being used and reviewed on a YouTube camping channel and decided to get one. I shopped around and found this one on eBay at about half the average price. I checked out the EAN number to make sure it was a genuine Zippo product.

I love the look and feel of this silverware. My only complaint is that the dinner fork tongs are not spaced properly. The two on tHe right side see bent toward each other. Didn’t expect such poor quality from Lenox.

I bought this to 9 months ago to expand countertop cutting board space & to have a larger, more stable area to roll out dough & to have a higher cutting board as my counter is very low and I am bending over to work which bothers my back.

I put it together by myself in about an hour while being interrupted twice. The top is heavy so you might want help to put it together. It is very stable & sturdy with 4 locking wheels. The racks are loaded down & I can still move it around even though I have back issues.

I like the end grain top, which is hard and doesn’t take marks from sharp knives. The racks are wire and if you’re trying to place smaller items they can tilt & fall over. I get around this by using plastic storage boxes with small sides like those commonly found at Target etc.

I really like this item and am glad I made this purchase. At the time I bought it, BBB had the best price as well.

Just got a new place. Even though I was downsizing, my new kitchen is huge, it’s 10′ from one side to the other. Needed an island to improve the workflow. Looked seriously at 10 different units, some smaller, larger & more expensive.

This one caught my eye as I have a lot of pots & pans and the open wire shelves looked perfect. So: It arrived early, 2 days. No damage to the box. Couldn’t bring the box in the house myself, too heavy.

Ended up taking it out piece by piece to get it inside the house. I assembled it myself but its much easier with a helper. The directions are a-dismal but you can figure it out just by looking at the picture on the web page.

Took me 1 1/2 hrs. All the parts were there & I even got a 5th leg for some reason. Quality: overall very good. All the metal has a thick coating and looks like it will last. The shelve interiors are cheaper but I just put down some expensive liners & looks much better.

Shelf sliders are good and lock into place. The wheel locks hold it in place very well. My unit turned out to be 34 1/2″ high, which made it 2″ shorter than my counters. Makes it hard to slide things off or on the island.

The butcher block: this is where my expectations were exceeded. Had a few dings & a few areas where they had filled it with wood cement but once it was oiled it looks like some of the John Boos blocks I’ve owned & paid hundreds more.

I do a lot of prep so I like my knives out so I ordered a knife holder that I’ll attach to the end that doesn’t have the towel rack. Unit rolls nicely and is very stable. Misses: the towel rack is not secured very well.

The area where the waste bin goes in is not really finished well. Took me some time to realize the extra screws & bolts were just decorative and just covered the unused holes in the legs. Final thought: this unit is going to work out very well for me.

I now have a central work area, lots more storage and a butcher block. It was $275 less than my 2nd & 3rd choice.

Since downsizing into a townhouse I’ve been looking for a small island that will go well with my maple cabinets without overpowering the small room. This is a great size and the open shelving provides needed storage without looking too “bulky” for the space.

I’m pleasantly surprised how well the tone of the wood top goes with my cabinets. It has a richer color than a typical butcher block. This was very easy to put together – my son did it (with very little help from me) in about an hour.

The wood top is beautiful, the drawers open easily and the shelving is sturdy. I didn’t install the bottle “holder” on the lower shelf to provide more space for some larger items that I wanted easy access to.

The drawers are the perfect size for plastic wrap, foil, Ziploc bags, etc. the other drawer I use for my most often used gadgets: paring knives, etc. My existing drawers and cabinets now have some “breathing room”! I’ll admit I haven’t used the top as a cutting board yet, but I have been oiling it regularly.

The 6-inch chef’s knife in this set chipped using it on a plastic cutting board. It is defective. I emailed Kyocera with pictures and the invoice, and they simply stated that “After reviewing the photos you provided, regretfully this type of damage is not covered under our warranty.

” I assured them that I do not abuse my knives and that it chipped during regular use, but they didn’t care, only offering a 25% discount to spend more money on another one of their inferior products.

No, thank you. I assured them I would let everyone else know not to trust them. These knives are not cheap, and you should receive better customer service, and they should honor your warranty when there’s a problem.

Don’t waste your money on them. Buy a cheap ceramic knife as my mom recommended. Then throw it away and get another one when it does.

This is my third knife I had to purchase as a replacement for my wife. This knife is not durable and it is very fragile. I’ve chipped the blade on this knife cutting something hard; can’t remember what I was cutting.

The second knife I’ve accidentally dropped the knife on the floor and the ceramic blade cracked in half. There goes another $40. 00!!! And to sharpened this knife, you’ll need a ceramic knife sharpener.

I prefer the regular steel knife; it is much more durable and you will not have to worry about the knife blade chipping or cracking. Then again, this ceramic knife is made for a woman. The color of the knife handle speaks for itself.

As other reviewers noted, after a wash or two, the knives had rust spots and stains. I felt they were plenty sharp enough, and should’ve been a decent value, but now one of the smaller knives is coming apart at the handle – there’s a black plastic piece in the middle and it appears to be only held together by glue.

I don’t do anything out of the norm to wash these. They go in a dishwasher, which apparently, is a loophole for Farberware’s “Limited Lifetime Warranty” per their terms: “This guarantee does not cover damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, commercial use or normal wear and tear.

Scratches, stains, discoloration, damage from overheating, or damage from use of automatic dishwasher are not covered by this guarantee. Incidental or consequential damages are not covered by this guarantee.

” I’ve had these knives for all of two months and they’re basically throwaways now. Save yourself the aggravation and learn from my mistake!.

I order the personalized chef?s hat for my brother for his birthday gift with all sorts of bbq rubs, sauces and meat thermometer. Hat was a winner. personalization were perfect with the added flames.

Hat is adjustable with Velcro so it should fit. I would of preferred a red hat but it was as not an option. Other than that perfect gift.

I bought the chef’s hat for my dad as a Father’s Day gift and he loved it! He enjoys cooking on the grill and isn’t to shy to wear a hat while showing off his grilling skills! The velcro closure is a wonderful feature because it adjusts to any size! My dad has difficulty finding a hat that fits well because he has a large head! The personalization is a nice plus too! I bought my wife, for her birthday, the apron that she wanted, just as she wished for. Overall she loves her apron! But what she and I are a little… underwhelmed on was when I selected the “gift option” for $8 (which isn’t much) but Amazon does a much better job for $5.

The main shipping package says H&B (which was to be expected but would have been nice to be slightly less… conspicuous). The “gift box” is just a plain red box with H&B on it… not wrapped, not anything special, only saying welcome to the club message on the inside of the box.

The message that you can write to the gift receiver is printed on the shipping/invoice paper and not on a card or by itself… If you want to buy the apron as a gift then save yourself $8 and either ship it to yourself and wrap it or just in the standard box.

@H&B step up your “gift wrapping game” at least on par with Amazon or don’t offer it for a price increase…. Very disappointed! But lucky my wife loves her apron none-the-less….

I’m not a chef. Not even a little bit. I cook some things at home that I believe are pretty freakin’ awesome and, sometimes, I get food on me in the process. Enter the H&B apron. Thick enough to catch all of the splatters from the stove or the grill and.

not that this matters, of course. it looks great in the process. Whether or not this has helped my cooking or not remains to be seen but I do feel like I’m really doing something now that I have a pocket to store my Sharpie! Seriously, though – this is a quality apron that’s put together really, really well and has a [email protected] warranty and return policy.
