20 Best Chocolate Powder For Milk (2023 Updated)

Why this produxt is hidden away in the world food section and not with powdered drinks is beyond me. I used to drink Milo as a bedtime drink as a child in the 60s. Bought some to see if it was as nice as I remember.

One sip and I was five again. It has a lovely chocolatey malty flavour and I recommend it made with milk. The website has Ghanaian ans Singapore. The former is a little sweeter. A premium product which is quite definitely underpromoted.

I love milo, nice chocolatey taste with the hint of malt. I mix mine with a bit of milk to make a paste, then add hot water A good drink for bedtime, nice and relaxed. I first had it in Singapore many years ago.

Now I have found it in Asda hurrah.

Much healthier variety than others, in terms of sugar, sat. fat, salt, with an equally good taste as any other. Would get 5 stars if there wasn’t an unnecessary price premium on this compared with the other varieties.

I love this product. I order it frequently. Sometimes it arrives with a lid slightly open and some of the powder has spilled into the box. This shipment had two of the 4 boxes opened and spilled in the bottom of the cardboard shipping box.

About a quarter of the two boxes was spilled. In addition a book was included in the same shipment and the book was covered in chocolate powder. A couple of times the shipments have come with the 4 boxes shrink wrapped together.

When shipped this way the boxes do not come open. Please consider shrink wrapping the lids onto the rest of the box. It will save a huge mess and loss of product. As often as I have had this problem, others must have experienced it too.

I am not returning this product. I will continue to order it. I have leukemia and am on chemo for it. To keep from being nauseated , I mostly drink liquids for food. This product works well with the chemo.

I am also diabetic, and I appreciate the no sugar added feature. I cannot always find it in grocery stores, so I will continue to order it online. PLEASE fix the shipping problem. Thank you. Glena Merwin PS.

I have pictures and if you need them I will try to figure out how to send them. I am 88 and use the computer a lot, but I am not sure how to get the pictures from my Iphone to the computer.

I ordered this and several other pantry type items (instant pudding mixes, canned ravioli, storage containers). They were all packed loosely in one large box with no padding whatsoever. This container is plastic with a foil “safety” cover under a clear plastic lid.

During transit the container burst open spilling half of the container over everything else. If you order online, be careful when opening your shipping container so you don’t end up with drink powder all over yourself like I did.

On the plus side, if you do end up with a damaged container like I did, WalMart will replace it for free. Just use the chat option, not the process returns from the main order page or else they may expect you to return it at your expense.

The chat function, I got an automated chat and chose which item to return/replace and they processed the replacement and told me to do what ever I want with the damaged container. I decided to go ahead and take a chance and try it out, hoping it was only damaged during my delivery and not in the warehouse, and it is delicious! I would suggest if WalMart does read this review, that they tell their warehouse people to always package these type of containers in extra packaging since they are too flimsy to be packed loose with random items.

Well with 2 adults and 4 kids in a household we go through the biggest can you can buy in a week. It’s a complete meltdown if we run out so we buy five at a time. Sounds ridiculous I know, we don’t drink regular milk without it, barely use milk for cereal.

If I could buy a five gallon bucket of this at a time I would and it would NOT go to waste. I like to call it making mud milk, not just a scoop of the stuff 😂. Is it unhealthy…. yes I’d say so. We aren’t overweight by no means either.

What actually is healthy these days? Not much of anything at all unless you grew it yourself, which I do as much of that as I can. Also this stuff I so good dumped over a fat bowl of ice cream in any flavor.

I grew up with the occasional cup of Ovaltine before school as well, and that’s when there was only one Ovaltine, the malt. Over the years they’ve been putting some kind of chocolate in some of their varieties, so I bought this one because I really like carnation malt chocolate flavor in milk, it taste like a chocolate malted but the carnation seems to get very very hard in the container in the humid tropical south where I live.

This one I tried today because I wanted to see if it would be a great improvement over the carnation as far as humidity without compromising on taste. Yes, it was fantastic… NICE AND COLD. Later in the evening I made a cup in the microwave by heating the milk first, as I had done with regular “yellow“ Ovaltine my fair share of times in the past, but boy was that terrible!!! It’s almost as if the malt flavor turned into something else, something fake, neither chocolatey nor malty.

I put the mug back in the refrigerator and a few hours later it was cold and delicious again. Perhaps when they get the Ovaltine regular (yellow tinged jar) back in the stores again, that one may be more conducive to being heated up, but I don’t have that many cold days a year where I think I can finish that canister, but I sure can during the summertime with the cold one! It’s the perfect breakfast for me, a chocolate malt!.

How do you get your kids to drink milk? You buy Ovaltine! When my kids were 3 and five years old, Ovaltine was set up at the zoo giving out samples. My kids were hooked from that day. Hundreds of gallons later, my kids are still drinking Ovaltine at 16 and 19 years old.

Why? Because it tastes good! Yes, I drink Ovaltine also, cold after a workout, hot chocolate on a cold day, sprinkled in my oatmeal for a little chocolate and sprinkled on my ice cream! Its not just for kids.

I LOVE Ovaltine Classic Malt!! I use it to make my iced coffee drinks. I add a heaping tablespoon of the Classic Malt to a tall glass, along with a scant teaspoon of sugar. Then a big squeeze of Hershey’s Syrup, followed by some crushed ice.

Next comes the cold coffee, poured in 3/4 of the way, and a splash of non-dairy creamer. Stir well! Topped off with a big squirt of whipped cream, topped with another squeeze of Hershey’s Syrup. Insert straw.

I was a little hesitant on buying a huge can of Nesquik with its “new and improved flavour”. My concerns were confirmed on my first glass. I keep getting the taste of burnt chocolate! Not good at all! I’ve been drinking this for well over 50 years and it’s not good! It has changed and not for the better! Why do companies always think that they “need” to improve on their product? I am a huge fan of the chocolate nesquik. I love the taste of the powder I think it’s better cause you can really choose your level of chocolatey goodness. You can put in as much as you want and it’s not a over barring coco taste.

It is strat sweet milk chocolate. I crave chocolate really bad once a month and I go thru some chocolate milk. This is a trusted and old brand that I grew up on. It’s got a awesome affordable price with good quality of ingredients and the awesome taste that no one can beat.

I have always been and will always be a nesquik girl. Lol.

I use the Nesquik no sugar added chocolate powder for my children, it still has great chocolate taste and I think is one of the best chocolate milk drinks. There are different size containers it comes in, I would like if it came in the big container bc I wouldn’t have to buy so much then.

I had low expectations for this milk drink mix because my girlfriend likes it and our taste bud are almost the complete opposite but its good. I enjoyed it quite a lot that i finished a whole container on my own.

I would purchase again and probably keep it in stock at our house because its soo good. I prefer it over any other chocolate milk mix I’ve had before. It’s worth the purchase.

This stuff is wonderful. I grew up using it for chocolate malteds and believe me, it turns a “shake” up to at least 14. It also can “supercharge” a simple glass of chocolate milk. A quarter teaspoon of this in a 16 oz glass of milk (along with some Hershey’s syrup) makes it feel like you’ve doubled the “chocolatiness.

” It IS available in vanilla (and kinda has the same effect) but for some reason the vanilla variety never seems to mix as easily as the chocolate variety often forming lumps in the bottom of a stirred glass of milk.

This stuff is getting increasingly hard to find. And though I boycott their parent company on principle, this is one addiction I can’t kick.

I’ve always loved Nesquik for as long as I can remember. Strawberry is my 2 boys favorite! It also has really good flavor! I just prefer the chocolate myself, but if I only had strawberry I’d definitely drink it! The only downfall of strawberry is it has artificial flavors, obviously.

but I love that it still contains NO artificial colors or sweeteners! I love that is also contains NO high fructose corn syrup either! So I still don’t feel guilty giving it to my kids in their daily! It’s literally the only way my youngest will drink his milk.

The product is fine; my issue was with the packaging. I purchased 3 of these items. Under the plastic cap should be a sealed foil top. One was open. This is not something that should be used when the seal since has been compromised.

I opened another one and used it for baking and made wonderful chocolate cheesecake!.

My first can and I will order again. I love that Divine cocoa powder is Fair Trade. That it is grown and processed with care, according to their statement. I like that it is fermented. It is very dark in color, smells rich and chocolaty and tastes rich and smooth.

Its doesn’t have that slight bitterness that I actually like. It is very different from the cocao powder I buy. The drawback for me. it is very lightweight compared to most, it will fly out of your bowl while mixing!! Contrary to what others have said, I feel like it doesn’t mix as well, takes longer to incorporate.

I will continue to buy both, as I like both for different things! Order two, as it is only a 4. 4 oz can, it won’t last long! I make my own chocolate syrup for ice cream. a little bit of cocoa and olive oil and chocolate stevia, mix well and top with good vanilla IC.

Very smooth Dutch processed, great color, aroma and smooth flavor, love it for hot chocolate. Flavor is pronounced but not overwhelming. Simply delicious. Included a few shots to show color and size of the can relative to other items you may have in your home.

Another Venezuelan product that we all Venezuelans love. It’s amazing. Although it’s a little too sweet for my taste, it’s excellent for preparing milkshakes. You can have it as hot chocolate too.

It’s the first time I tried this mousse and I was surprised on how rich is the taste. I make French style mousse using Callebaut ganache for my cakes. So I wanted to see the difference and it’s very similar in taste and texture and easier.

Since the weather has gotten cooler I have been craving a hot chocolate. Unfortunately I can’t have a regular hot chocolate because I am on a low carb diet. I saw Pyure Organic Sugar-Free Chocolate Drink Mix in the store and decided to try it.

At first I tried it with cold milk to see if it would be like chocolate milk but the powder didn’t mix well. I decided to warm the milk and Pyure chocolate drink mix in the microwave for a minute and that did the trick and the cocoa dissolved.

It made a decent cup of sugar free hot chocolate and definitely satisfied my craving. The bag has 41 servings so I am glad that I will be able to make many more cups of hot chocolate. BTW, two tsps have only 1 net carbs.

I mixed it with 8 oz of low sugar, high protein milk (6 net carbs), delicious. This review was collected as part of a promotion, and the opinions are my own.

My kids love chocolate milk. Shocker. I feel better about letting them have this product over some of the competitors. Sure it contains a decent amount of sugar (9g per 2T/8oz serving), but it’s less than some of the other guys, plus it’s free from artificial sweeteners (a must for me) and flavors.

It also contains 12 vitamins and minerals, including, when added to milk, 20% of the DV of Vitamin D (a toughie to sneak into a kid’s diet and one most are deficient in) which eases my health conscience a bit.
