I bought these during the pandemic for my son because they were shelf stable and wanted to ensure that he and his grandfather were getting enough calcium. My father-in-law doesn’t like plain milk so I thought these would be a good alternative.

He liked them ok; better than the chocolate. Neither liked them better than the strawberry flavor. Of course, my father-in-law likes the really syrupy whole fat milks which this is not. It is light with just a small amount of sweetness.

It’s milk. I cannot taste the difference between this milk the Sam’s Club brand. I’m supposed to believe the cows are treated better but after working with county kitchen inspectors, I learned about many suspicious activities from all brands.

It’s not enough to pull the organic label as these things aren’t as closely monitored as other food industry standards. So you pay more and expect a higher quality product and it’s not always the case.

So I’ll buy this when I have to but it’s not my first choice.

we’ve always loved shelf-stable milk for camping and boating. it’s great when we won’t have access to refrigeration and want to bring some along for drinking or cooking. Horizon strawberry is excellent for my nephew who’s the strawberry guy! the flavor and sweetness was acceptable to him, and usually he has either store-bought refrigerated case milk (oakhurst or nestle) or we use the strawberry syrup mixed into milk at home.

I’ve been using ensure for years. This was a lot cheaper, so I thought I’d try it out. It tastes better than Ensure for starters, way better. Second thing: it actually keeps me full longer. I feel sick sometimes and can’t eat, so these types of drinks are such a lifesaver.

The fiber seems more effective too, but does give me a LOT of gas. I’ll take it. Another bonus to the Boost drinks? It staves off my sugar cravings, way more than anything else I’ve tried. I can get them pretty severely at night, and I have had much less of them.

When I do get them now, they are way less intense. I’m a Boost convert for life. I love this stuff.

This Klean Athlete – Klean Recovery in Milk Chocolate Flavor is so convenient in its single serving pouches. Mix with water. I mixed mine with almond milk for a tad creamier version. This is so easy to even mix with a spoon and fabulous in a blender bottle.

Definitely a great way to quickly feed your muscles after a strength training session.

I am on a high protein/low sugar diet. This was a little to sweet, as I am not used to sugary products. It has a pleasant taste and is easy to drink. It does not mix completely with cold water but does not have that gritty taste that I expected.

If sugar is your thing, this will probably work for you.

I received my first bag of Klean Recovery as a gift. It was given to me because have been on a 6 day per week training cycle. I do three days of weight training (approximately one hour per workout) and three bicycle training rides averaging 38 miles per ride in winter conditions.

Ensure High Protein is an excellent meal replacement since I have several GI issues. Eating in general can be quite painful. I was drinking the Boost brand but switched to Ensure because It had less sugar.

I was delighted when I discovered that Ensure Protein has 4g of sugar. Thats at least 1/5 the sugar of all other Ensure products. I enjoy the taste and appreciate the nutritional values. The only draw back, which is not really an issue with me is the lower amount of calories than the other Ensure products.

One High Protein drink has 160 calories. I use 3-4 a day which can make up to half the Calories needed by an average male. Even 4 of these combined has only 16gm of sugar which is only 28% of maximum RDA of sugar.

I bought this because I didn’t feel like running to the store so I ordered it online. Big mistake. I’ve bought these several times and not had an issue with it. But I guess how its kept in the warehouse is an issue.

I shake it up as usual and go to drink one and it has huge chunks in it. Like the chunks you see in spoiled milk. No matter how much you shake it up you cant get rid of these little slimy pieces. Very unpleasant feeling trying to drink it.

Dont waste your money on ordering this. I will be returning it to the store.

My 2ndfave: Vanilla flavour. The taste and texture is similar to a milkshake. It’s expensive. One bottle is almost $3 and a pack of 6 is almost $10. But if you’re not eating things that are good for you then I recommend one or two a week.

I am a type 2 diabetic. I love these shakes. They are flavorable and not gritty like some of the other diabetic drinks. I have one everyday for breakfast. I will continue to buy these. They need to glue the entire label to the bottle.

I use a bottle opener to open the bottle. When I turn the opener and hold the bottle the entire label moves around the bottle and the bottle won’ t open until you take the entire label off of the bottle.

Stars  I tried the milk chocolate shake and it is the best shake I’ve tried in a long time. Here are some Pros and Cons: Pros 1. It tastes like nearly all other chocolate meal replacement shakes that I’ve tried.

The taste is familiar and welcome. The texture is not chalky, gritty, and does not leave a film on my mouth like other shakes I’ve tried. It is smooth, thick, and creamy, and did not have any after taste.

2. In just 8 ounces they were able to pack in 16g of protein, 6g of fiber, 9g of fat, 15g of carbs, and an assortment of vitamins for just 170 calories. 3. The nutritional value of these shakes in comparison with other meal/snack replacement shakes is great.

Fiber is not usually something that can be found in a shake, so it was a nice surprise when I read the label and found it has 6g of fiber. 3. It is conveniently packaged and quick to grab in the mornings when I’m running late.

4. It does curb hunger really well and keeps me from getting hungry for a long time. 5. It is gluten free which is important to me since I have Celiac disease. Cons 1. Splenda is extraordinarily sweet and that extra bit of sweetness does come through in this drink.

This may not bother some, but it doesn’t bother me. Just be aware that these are a little sweeter than your typical meal replacement shake. It actually curbs my sweet tooth when I feel I need something sweet.

(Pro for me) These are a healthier alternative to a traditional meal replacement shake and I highly recommend them.

I have been having problems maintaining my weight and do not eat sugar. Two drinks a day keep my weight stable. It tastes very good. However, opening the bottle is very hard. You have to peal back the plastic seal around the bottle cap and then open it.

I cannot open it without a bottle opener. I thought it was a problem because I have arthritis but my 18 y. o. neighbor could not open it.

But always go back to the nutty flavor I love. I don’t even drink or use reg milk anymore. In cereal in smoothies cooking it’s all I use. Snd it’s at least 10 calories less than the other brands. Good stuff in any flavor as well; I recently tried the chocolate.

I loved it – I can have my chocolate fix without all the sugar and no bitter aftertaste. Dark chocolate or cacao’s always leave a bitter taste. Anyway I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. When I cook or just drink a glass it’s usually the original flavor.

But I can get kids with vanilla!.

This flavor is so chocolaty, creamy, and filling thanks to the added protein. I appreciate the convenience of finding this product, though sometimes its hard to find because its so delicious that it sells out pretty quickly.

I won’t say that it filled me up to the point it could replace breakfast, but it did fulfill me for a few hours. Pair with apples, or avacado toast and you’re starting your day off right.

2nd time to answer this question. We love Nesquik products. They are tasty and easy to make, and easy to take with you on trips. We like them cold, hot, on ice cream, in coffee hot or cold, even adding adult beverages to them is yummy.

We always have Nesquik in our home in several different forms.

Good way to get extra protein but you can definitely taste the difference from the regular bottles of nesquick. Once you get used to the taste difference or if you aren’t expecting it to taste like traditional nesquick, it is pretty good.

I bought this because 1) I couldn’t stand the taste of Fairlife and 2) it was on sale (Cheaper than Premier). The taste of Muscle Milk (MM) is amazing! Sure, it tastes like chocolate, but there is a hint of what tastes like toffee to me.

It’s almost like a liquid Heath Bar 🙂 I’ve read comments (here and elsewhere) which say the “non-dairy” label is misleading because it contains calcium caseinate, sodium caseinate, and milk protein isolate.

The FDA’s definition of non-dairy “allows the presence of milk protein such as casein, whey, and other derivatives”. MM absolutely meets that definition. If MM said their products were “dairy free”, that would be untrue.

If you don’t like this definition, or think it’s misleading, don’t blame MM for this–blame the FDA. I’m bummed the special pricing on MM will end in a week, so I’m stocking up now. I’ll probably switch back to Premier after I exhaust my supply of Muscle Milk because it’s slightly cheaper, pretty tasty (though not as good as MM), and has 5g more protein than Muscle Milk.

Until them, I’m going to enjoy every last one.

Some people may giggle at the name and pass on this drink thinking it is nothing but a catchy name. However, it has become one of my favorite post workout drinks. Lactic Acid in the muscle if you have ever had it build up is very painful.

I’m not by any means a powerlifter. I am a casual once in a while a couple days a week at the gym type of person. It’s still enough to cause some serious pain. Drinking muscle milk after seems to really help calm the body down and replenish some of the minerals I lost during workout.

Better yet, I don’t get as much lactic acid pain. It comes in several different flavors of powder or you can buy it ready made it little drink boxes. I like the little boxes. I have noticed many of the gas stations even carry them in the soft drink coolers.

One day, I decided to try one of these and took one off of my dad’s pantry shelf. I am used to whey protein mostly (powder variety) and just mixing it with milk, but I decided I wanted to try these because lately I have been increasing my physical activity, and I want to be able to have a protein rich snack to help with getting into shape.

I have also been getting the Premier Protein shakes a few times, which are fine, but I am open to trying new things, of course. I actually really liked the taste of these in particular, even better than the Premier shakes.

It also has a creamy and smooth texture. I know it has milk protein, just like some of the other brand liquid protein shakes do, but it still seems to do the trick and is comparable to the whey protein with keeping me full throughout the morning, if I have one for breakfast.

I was recommended this protein drink by my doctor to hell me lose weight (get at least 80 grams of protein in my diet so I won’t be hungry). I like that it has 40 grams of protein so that I am half way through my protein goal right off the bat in the morning.

The chocolate taste isn’t bad, but could be a little better (I’m picky though). This product is a little hard to find in stores, so we had to order it online and no matter where you buy, it’s fairly expensive.

Also, it kind of makes my stomach upset, but that could be because I am a little lactose intolerant.

Only unsweetened almond milk I will buy! 10 year fan, will not switch brands! Delicious flavor and touch of vanilla. I hate the taste of cow’s milk (although I love plain Greek yogurt) and plain cow’s milk does awful things to my GI tract and hormonal cycle.

Silk almond milk makes me feel great and Target always has it in stock for a great price! I use it in smoothies and add a splash or two to coffee. I like it in cereal too. Glad the sodium is lower in this than other brands and no oil or sugar like some other non-dairy milk options.

We have used this milk since our now 15 and 13 year old daughters were toddlers. It has been a go to healthier option for our children. Our girls take 2 every day in the lunches. They love the taste…even the Vanilla flavor.

Side note…They have zero cavities and never had any broken bones…just saying.

I get these in a larger pack from costco’s and they are also frequently on sale which makes them more affordable. Two out of three kids in my house are not a fan of it buuut, my youngest who is autistic and the pickiest eater LOVES it! I’m happy with its calcium, vitamin D and protein levels.

I would be happier if its other vitamins were a little higher like the vitamin A, vitamin C and iron. This helps keep my youngest from not getting enough calories or vitamins and he will drink them cold or warm he loves it so much.

The smell of this product is AMAZING!! I always receive compliments on how good my hair smells and I won’t even be right up on a person either. It’s like the smell just drifts through the air into there nose when I walk by lol.

I also have mixed children and I have tried soooo many different products on there hair to help with frizz, dryness moisture. This is one of the products I use on there’s as well. I love the fact that it’s affordable the bottle is big! I shampoo there hair 2x a week with this brand of shampoo but I condition it every day.

I bought this because there was a good circle offer on it. I have had many different kinds of protein shakes, none of which I could really drink straight up. They always needed at least some fruit. I need to get more protein because I have something going on in my tum that makes me full after a couple of bites of something.

From past experience I decided to have this with milk instead of water. So glad that I did! Not only is this was the tastest shake I have ever had, it is also the smoothest and leaves no powder sticking to the side of the shaker cup at all.

Hands down this is a winner and I will keep buying it. The vanilla is delicious enough that I don’t feel the need to try the others. And, and, and it also keeps me fuller for much longer that the others I have tried! Not everything is for everybody.

This is the first one I have ever tried. I bought it solely because of the somewhat cheaper price and 50g of protein seemed like a lot. I noticed tremendous progress while using this. I personally think it taste a lot better in milk than water.

Sprinkling it over ice cream is also a good way to add it. It never fully seems to dissolve but it doesn’t taste terrible when you get a unmixed part. I have just kept on buying this since I have no major complaints, so I have not tried anything else.

Drink minutes after a workout (before your metabolism settles down), never before, as anything in your stomach takes energy/blood to digest and takes away from your workout (try a pre-workout drink for that).

As is a protein as WELL as a meal replacement, it does have MORE calories than straight (whey. for example) protein. So consider that. Don’t take in the evenings close to bed (again. calories), if weight/fat loss is the goal.

I like this product very much. It tastes so good. So good I do have to discipline myself to use it only when I should, and regular protein (ugh in taste) the other times.

The small milk cartons are very convenient for carrying out. However, the price will not be as cheap as buying a large box. Chocolate flavor—but not too sweet makes the taste of milk very delicious. This low-in-fat milk is also a good choice for mothers who want to buy milk for their children!.

My child’s go to chocolate milk. Luckily is easy to find anywhere. Almost all the restaurant around us use this brand as well. I love how convenient it is and I don’t have to make chocolate milk though the day.

Ever since I was an infant, I was allergic to cow’s milk. As a substitute for the regular formula, I was placed on a goat milk based baby formula instead of cow’s milk. I love milk, particularly chocolate milk but the stomach aches and other ill effects I experience after drinking it has kept me on a constant search for a milk product that doesn’t get me sick.

The closest brand I can find that fits this criteria is Lactaid. So I was a little hesitant about trying this product. However, I’m so glad I did. Not only have I experienced no bad side effects from A2, but I’m now addicted to it’s DEE-LISH flavor.

It’s smooth, creamy, bursts with a delicious chocolatey, natural flavor, is low fat and low sugar and finally, is less expensive than other similar brands. I sometimes place a cup of chocolate milk in the blender, add one splenda and some crushed ice, blending it for about 40 seconds.

Pour it into a tall glass, put some Non Fat Reddi Whip on top and a long straw for a delicious low calorie milk shake that satisfies my sweet tooth, tastes great, is filling with no bad effects on my body.

I really had very little hope this product would work for me but to my surprise, it’s a game changer for me. I can now enjoy a delicious chocolate milk shake without worrying about fat, sugar & high caloric content.

I tried Chocolate 2% Reduced Fat Milk by The a2 Milk Company and it was really good! #GotItFree I’ve been drinking plant based milk for a long time due to digestive reasons so I’m usually hesitant about trying any other kind, but I am glad I was able to try this milk.

I drank the a2 Chocolate 2% milk as a beverage, with cookies and then mostly in my cold cereal, yes in my cereal! After my first couple of sips I could definitely taste the cocoa, it reminded me of hot chocolate.

I plan on warming up a cup just to see how much like hot chocolate it might taste. I was not at all turned off by it being 2% either, it was still very tasty as opposed to others I’ve sampled in the past.

As for it agreeing with my digestive tract I would say I still for the most part experienced the same symptoms as whole milk but I take a couple of lactose intolerance chewables right before which do help lessen the symptoms some.

All in all I would definitely recommend this milk to others and maybe even purchase it on occasion for myself as well. #trynatural.

I used to love the chocolate milks in the cartons at school when I was growing up. But wow, this Chocolate Milk beats it!!! I don’t tend to drink much milk because it messes with my stomach. I can tell you though I will be trying more of these milk products and will certainly be buying this chocolate milk for a treat in the future.

It has a rich and creamy taste. It is really yummy. A2 takes real care in making sure your drinks are filtered and pure. They use a filtration process like is used in removing impurities from water. They take real care in making sure your milk is wholesome and has more protein, more calcium and less sugar.

This way you are drinking 43% less fat than whole milk. It also has 9 essential nutrients including vitamins A, D and B12 as well as magnesium and zinc. It is only 140 calories a serving, has 50% less sugar than chocolate milk, 13 grams of protein per serving, and is Lactose-free.

Also the cows are not treated with rBST. I am hooked on this drink. I think it tastes great and so do my grandkids.

I had to buy this brand because it was all the corner store had. Why a small bottle of milk needs to be vacuum sealed with high density plastic from top to bottom is beyond me. But Im convinced everyone who works at Shamrock farms is lactose intolerant and made their bottles impossible to open as a way to get revenge on those of us who can consume lactose without dying.

The perforated strip didn’t budge, needless to say. After clawing the plastic barely below the bottom of the lid, I could turn it. When doing so, I promptly sliced my finger open on the sharp, crumpled up plastic around the opening.

Oh and there’s also another seal after that. In summary, unless you have long, sharp talons like Cardi B, stick to Highland.

Bought this on a whim at Sprouts. Wow, wow wow! So decadent. If it was thicker it would have been the best chocolate shake. Instead it was hands down the best chocolate milk that I’ve ever had. Really creamy and high quality chocolate flavor, like a milk chocolate bar was freshly melted into it.

Best chocolate milk ever, it’s good for a while is creamy and so many people I know love it when I first discovered this milk at my old job, no one esle would drink it, after I made the mistake of showing it to my friends they would buy it too.

It got to the point of who would get there faster after it was restocked. This milk is amazing and it needs to be available in more locations.

I feel pretty deceived by all these great reviews. This stuff is okay when it can be well-masked with other flavors, but it’s pretty terrible on its own. I guess I should’ve expected an odd taste given that it’s pea milk, but absolutely no one mentioned the strange taste this has that I can’t describe.

it’s almost vegetable-y, but not exactly. My spouse says it tastes like nothing, but then again, he LOVES vegetables, so it probably does taste like nothing to him. Whereas that odd flavor sticks out like a sore thumb to me.

Anyway, it’s fine in oats; okay on cereal as long as the cereal is good enough to override it; sinfully terrible in tea; haven’t tried in coffee yet, but I imagine it’s just as bad; just barely drinkable on its own and leaves a bad aftertaste.

Do not be fooled by the “it’s close to regular milk” reviews. It’s not. I’ll give them credit that they got the mouthfeel and body pretty close, but that flavor. yick. I’m open-minded. I drink real milk and milk alternatives.

And this is one milk alternative that I will not buy again, unless I give the vanilla a shot.

I usually buy the kid version ripple for my toddler due to easier digestion. We loved that one a lot. During a travel the store was out of stock for what we usually have so I bought this one instead.

It is very sweet compared to the other ones. For fun drinks once in a while, I guess it’s okay. But if you are using this as an alternative of everyday milk for small kits, it tailors a dangerous sweet tooth.

I would not recommend this one for small ones.

Personal favorite, the flavor is an acquired taste, and I’d only recommend for people that need a dairy-free, no sugar option. Best substitute I’ve found so far for my hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) tendencies.

Pairs well when eating that rare chocolate treat. I go through 5 of these a month. Gets pricey, but worth it.

Having only used one of my 2 packs of Fluid Recovery, I offer this review as my initial assessment of the product. The overall taste and texture was pleasant. I may have mixed it with too much water, so it was very well diluted.

But I don’t believe that impacted it terribly much. The claims of less muscle soreness seem appropriate, and power to workout hard the next day were proven true. But I cannot attest to greater focus post workout.

All in all, a pleasant experience.

I decided to try this flavor since everyone has been raving about it in the reviews. While I found it to be very good, I mixed mine with soy milk, I don’t know that I would order a large tub of it. Like most everyone, this reminded me a lot of horchata.

While I enjoyed the sweet flavor, I didn’t care for the mildly “gritty” texture. I think that is coming from the cinnamon, and again, it’s a great flavor and one that I would probably continue to get in single serve packets to occasionally mix-up my recovery routine.

I’ll be sticking to my favorite Tropical Escape for daily recovery usage though.

I first came across Fluid Recovery at the finish of the Sean O’Brien 50K race last year. I was immediately hooked and have used it ever since. It’s great with just water. But blending it with almond milk, coconut water and a banana is simply outstanding.

Last month I used Fluid Recovery as my primary recovery drink for the week-long Marathon Des Sables in the Sahara and it was awesome. I even added Fluid Recovery to my daily portion of muesli to crank up my pre-race calories and that worked like a charm.

I’ve been using Recoverite off and on for about fifteen years. For most of that time, I would just mix the chocolate flavored powder with water or milk after a long ride. Now, I mix it with chocolate milk and that’s what I look forward to the most after a long ride.

In 2016, I completed 39 states out of a planned 48-state ride before getting run over by a pickup truck. During that trip, I rode six days per week and averaged over 500 miles per week for 5 1/2 months and 12,500 miles.

A quick daily recovery was critical. My ‘Recoverite with chocolate milk’ routine allowed me tot sustain that over a long time period – I was always ready to go the next day and never went through any burn out periods.

I’m now recovered and rehabbed from my injuries and plan to complete the remaining nine states later this summer on my new road bike. Recoverite is playing a key role in my training and will continue to do so during the ride.

P. S. The other Hammer products I used on the 48-state trip were Race Caps Supreme, Endurolytes (both the fizz tablets and the pill capsules), and Tissue Rejuvenator. The benefits of this combination for me are not getting sick from what was the equivalent of over training, no cramping on the bike, and no sore knees after riding in the big gears all day.

I started using strawberry Recoverite in 2009 not realizing how awesome it was until the Tahoe Sierra 100 MTB Race. As usual in endurance races I had major stomach distress and by mile 60 I was only able to keep down watermelon from the aid stations.

Needless to say, by the time I finished the race I was extremely fatigued and completely on empty. I forgot about having a mixed bottle of Recoverite in my truck and tried eating some solid food. I could not eat it and went to my truck to drive home and saw the Recoverite bottle.

Fifteen minutes after drinking it I felt fine. From that day forward I have drank Strawberry Recoverite after every race and training ride. It tastes great and allows me to recover quickly so I can train again the next day.

I am an avid cyclist and have used Recoverite for years. It is very effective to reduce soreness and “tired” legs the day after a strenuous ride. Milk and a scoop of Recoverite always does the trick with good flavor to boot.

I’m a HUGE milk lover. I drink a gollon a day and that doesn’t include my coffee. My whole family drinks tons of chocolate milk and coffee milk… so I have tried every chocolate milk you can think of.

I even worked at our small town dairy farm and this is by far the worst chocolate milk I have ever tried. It tastes like tons of cheap chocolate syrup mixed with water and plant based skim milk which if you have tried plant based and your a strict cow milk lover like me…you know how disgusting it is.

It’s honestly disappointing to me how much they charge for this and they water it down because that’s exactly what the issue is.

This is one of the best chocolate milk brands I’ve tried. The milk has a silky smooth texture with no lumps or chocolate that settles on the bottom. I like that they offer both full and reduced fat options.

The chocolate flavor is the perfect balance of chocolate and sweetness. My favorite way to use this is to add it to honey bunches of oats cereal. Its the perfect combination.
