This was my first time making Easter candy. The Merckens chocolate wafers made my first experience a huge success. The wafers are very easy to work with. The chocolate is creamy smooth and absolutely delicious! I made creamy peanut butter filled eggs, cashew filled Easter bunnies, dark chocolate raspberry ganache truffles and crunch eggs, along with some plain chocolate using white, dark and milk chocolate wafers.

I l😍ve the Merckens DARK. Not so much the cocoa lite. For years I have been searching for the perfect brand of chocolate for my pretzel rods. This is it! It’s smooth, melts easy, keeps its shine, you dont have to temper it, and tastes AMAZING!!! I get SO many compliments on my sweet treats.

Product is amazing – best dark chocolate! Also ordered white and milk chocolate and all are wonderful. But, the cold pack was totally melted, warm and the chocolate wafers were melted and stuck together.

Perhaps dry ice like Omaha Steaks would work better. Steaks always arrive in great condition – cold/frozen and dry ice still in tact.

I love this chocolate bar. The coconut center is so creamy and a delectable addition to the chocolate. My only wish is that it also be made with a dark chocolate option. Seriously taste and you will wish you’d tasted sooner.

We often buy Ritter Sport chocolate in different flavours. The plain chocolate mint is my husband’s favourite. I love the chocolate marzipan or the hazelnut. Yummy. We bought several bars because it was on offer at a very good price.

I will buy this again and again. It’s a little expensive but it’s well worth it. This chocolate is so creamy and smooth and not that harsh bite some chocolate bars can have. I love it.

I’ve ordered from S&C a few times now and I am very pleased with the company. They have become my go to for the Merckens chocolate. Shipping is expensive but they get the product out to you fast. I’ve ordered the chocolate from Amazon and others in the past, got free shipping but it took forever to receive.

Also I need a large quantity of the chocolate and I can not get my desired size anywhere else but S&C Merckens in general is the ONLY brand of melting chocolate I will use for my HCB, fruit fillings , ganache, anything that requires melted chocolate gets this.

The taste is great and they melt beautifully.

We live in Florida and this October it is very hot. My 20 lb order of Merckens Milk Chocolate Wafers was delivered to my doorstep in excellent condition with not even one wafer melted. The product was packed with cold packs inserted within the box protecting it from the high heat of Florida.

I love Callebaut chocolate and especially these 54. 5% chocolate callets. They are the perfect percentage of chocolate…not too sweet yet not bitter. A great balance of flavor. They are so creamy and the texture is soft and smooth.

They are wonderful for making ganache or candy and they do very well in baking. I use them for my chocolate chip cookies. They are also great in homemade trail mix. They were packed well and shipped fast.

I had paid extra for special packing to keep them from melting now that the weather is warmer. These chocolate chips from Callebaut have a tendency to melt easily so outside of the colder months it’s best to pay extra for protective packaging to keep them from melting.

These are amazing I haven’t done what I bought them for as yet but I did use them to decorate since Christmas cookies. They melt really well but don’t keep heating them the butter just melts off after a while and your left with mostly milk solids(turns into a really thick gooey texture) which taste amazing and its fun to eat.

The overall quality of the chocolate it to tier and the service from the company I couldn’t ask for better. P. S if you do intend to ship transatlantic the chocolate stays in really good condition it doesn’t lose the callet shape.

During a recent vacation in Brugge, Belgium, the hotel I was staying at served this hot chocolate for breakfast…once sip of it and I was amazed of the delicious flavor! We took our children to Europe for 2 weeks fifteen years ago. They decided, as part of the trip, to sample every country’s chocolate they could find to determine the best. All 3 determined Finland’s Fazer Milk Chocolate was clearly the best.

This has been one of the most fun things that makes cheese taste great that I have ever purchased. That is saying something since I think cheese is pretty great. This fondue pot has been the central part of the sustenance element for a number of get togethers.

We have made a Swiss-style fondue three times and it has been a hit every time. The ease of operation of this fondue pot is exceptional. Follow whatever recipe you have, turn the control to the suggested temperature to get things started and wait for the bubbles.

Continue adding cheese and manipulate the temperature between 3-4. 5 on the dial and things will work out. As you fondue, you will occasionally have to turn the temperature up or down and stir a little.

It is much better than a candle or a sterno. There is a lot more control with this and not as much attention is needed, but you still have to pay a some attention. As you and your friends enjoy the fondue, there will be a bit of manipulation with the temperature control but it is very forgiving.

Things will get runny and then thick but we have experienced mainly consistent results. Pay attention and stir once in awhile. Clean up is a breeze! Don’t scratch your pot. Use wood or plastic to stir.

We had left over cheese. Let it solidify, should come off pot super easy. Store it and make a grilled cheese sandwich with it the next day, delicious. Can do it on stove or in microwave. Fondue tastes better next day so don’t be afraid to re-heat or use in another way.

The Fondue: This is four-star! The item is nice. It works well and has enough capacity to place 5 or 6 skewers in the pot at the same time. However, it would be even nicer if the pot came with a top, especially since the cooling off after use would be less worrisome.

The electric cord: That’s a 1-star! The cord is pretty short. We used it at the corner of our kitchen island as it has an outlet. If one wants to use it in the middle of table (dining room, for example), then one needs an extension cord, which can and most likely will, present a tripping hazard.

The temperature: That’s a 1-star! Yes, it comes with a warning that the oil (if used for cooking meats) can spill and splat. It sure did! – We ended up using a lower temperature and waited patiently for the meats (chicken and beef) to get done.

FYI: If you are planning on cooking veggies, just toss them into the pot carefully and remove them with a tong. It worked for us. Picking up the item via “curb-side-pick-up” (during COVID-19 times): That’s a minus 10-star! This was a horrible experience.

– We pulled into the waiting stall and called the number for pick-up, which was provided on our receipt. BTW: This was the same number provided at the parking stall, too. NOBODY answered the phone! We called several times, yet no one ever picked up the phone.

So, after about 5 tries we called the 1-800 number and got to Customer service. Via their help, and a “runner” inside the parking lot, we were able to drive off with the item after 25 minutes! That’s way too long for a wait! In fact, other customers parked next to us for “curb-side-pick-up” must have gone through the same issue, as they left their vehicle and went inside the store.

So, what’s the point for “curb-side-pick-up”?.

Unique and tasty. I grew up knowing that if we had this, it was a really special occasion! Now I can have it more often as an adult – which brings me back. I will never tire of the “magic” of the chocolate turning into a shell.

Then the satisfying crack through it – great! This really elevates the taste. Just remember in the winter you may need to run this under warm water or put on your heat vent if you have a little time.

Don’t forget to shake it!.

I loved this as a child. However when i bought one the other day it looked coagulated! It turned my stomach a little. I looked at the expiration and it was still good. I threw that bottle away. Bought another one, same thing.

Then i read on the bottle about putting it in warm water. that worked but it never used to do that and it doesn’t taste the same. Why did you change the formulation?.

I used this chocolate fountain for our family Christmas party and everyone loved it. I started it early so the chocolate would have plenty of time to melt in the fountain, that took about 45 minutes for a bag of 2 lbs to melt.

Once that was melted, I added another 2 lb bag (that I melted in the microwave) as I started the flow of the fountain. It took about 20 minutes before the fountain was flowing perfectly with no gaps.

The fountain ran for about 8 hours! and even though a lot of chocolate was eaten/used, it still flowed nicely the whole time. I was very happy with this fountain. It was also easy to clean. Assembly was also very easy.

Most of the reviews I see here are of people who just bought this giving it glowing reviews. I’ve had mine for about 6 yrs and it is a regrettable purchase. Not only is it an absolute bear to clean up, it splatters everywhere and other than the first one or two times (I use it once a yr at my Christmas party) it has NEVER worked correctly.

I have used the expensive chocolate recommended by the Sephra company as well as others since and the results are the same: it does NOT come over the top smoothly. I have called them on various occasions to trouble shoot and nothing changes.

Every year it is the source of my greatest stress prior to my party as I allow an extra hour of my time to resolve to get it to work “this time. ” Since it always looks awful anyway, from now on I will only use the base as a chocolate fondue pot.

No idea how long these will last. I hope years. I purchased this unit as a back up to the same unit. They do create some fan noise so I wouldn’t put it near an open window. I like the flat profile. Works as should.
