20 Best Cheap Fragrances For Men (2023 Updated)

Wow do I wish Versace Eros EDT existed when I was younger. This would have been the ultimate club cologne, but it was released first in 2012. It’s 10 years later, and this still is popular mostly with young males.

This is also loved by men like me, whom are young for their age, and not afraid to push the envelope. Even though an EDT fragrance oil percentage, is lower than a EDP or parfum, this one is extremely strong.

This is absolute testosterone, and Versace’s track record with fragrances, speaks for itself over the years. This designer house is huge, but what I like is their keen noses, that have allowed this fragrance to be created.

It’s bold alright. Eros is apparently the Greek God of love. The Medusa head design on the bottle and gold caps are strikingly detailed. I love the blue bottle that looks neon under light. Good luck at finding a better atomizer in the price range.

Recently I scored a 1. 7 ounce of this for $50, and they have bottles up to 6. 7 ounces. If you’re a cologne collector, you’ll want this one on looks alone. I love the detail with the gold and blue mixed, and the square shape of the container.

Recently I’ve discovered the parfum is my favorite, because it’s the most mature and refined Eros. That aside, this is the fun version. This is the second best one, as it projects better than the EDP.

I’m scratching my head on how that’s possible, yet that’s just the way it is. If you want a unique and playful scent, definitely give this one a try. It’s quite versatile, although probably not an office scent.

Three shots of this to the chest, you have an all season player here. This is one of my summer favorites. The notes are mint, green apple, lemon, tonka bean, ambroxan, vanilla, Virginia cedar, atlas cedar, vetiver, and oak moss.

This might as well be about of control Greek fraternity in liquid form. It’s an opinion but the apple is more of a candied variety and I dig this. Mint and lemon add on to the joy factor, and yet the vanilla is so obvious, that makes it even more noticeable.

This is best for casual events, dates, and of course the night club. Some might mock this, but I absolutely am thrilled to wear this. It’s attention getter. No doubt about it, this may not be for everyone, so you might want to sample it first.

I think it’s a great one, and am happy to recommend it. I’ll be taking it on vacation this year. That alone should hopefully get you to give this a try, as I started out with a sample, and now have a bottle of it.

Projection and a scent trail, you won’t have a choice with this one. It’s omnipotent fun!.

I really cannot say enough about this one specific perfume. Gucci gorgeous gardenia is by absolute favorite perfume ever! I used to swap my perfumes out daily but since I bought this perfume, this has been all I wear.

I get so many compliments on it every single day! I am obsessed with this fragrance! The packaging is absolutely beautiful and the bottle is stunning! Everyone has that one fragrance that when they wear it, they feel like that’s their signature scent.

This is mine! I was so impressed with the fact that it took me 2 spritz of this and I smelled amazing all day long! I have never received this through a campaign but whoever has is extremely lucky! I am actually ordering another bottle next week because mine is running low and that’s just unacceptable to me lol.

Seriously though, Gucci knows what’s up and Gucci Flora is one of those perfume lines that just completely makes you melt when you smell them. Gorgeous gardenia is my all time favorite fragrance but I am very eager to try some of the other scents from the line.

If you are debating purchasing this fragrance, go ahead and do it! You will NOT regret your decision. I literally could go on and on about this stuff because it’s pure bliss!.

This is one of the best in Tom Ford’s Private Collection. It’s dark, with a prominent cypress note along with tons of resins and cedar and just a hint of citrus. To me, it’s not sweet at all; it’s dry, herbal, almost acrid but in the most beautiful way.

It smells kind of formal to me. I also find it more masculine than unisex, but still, it’s not something that a confident woman cannot wear. A great scent to be worn during the Mediterranean summer, with good -though not as good as the ouds in the collection- lasting power.

Italian Cypress enters with zesty citrus and fresh green notes, soon after subtle minty/menthol notes join the fray. As the heart phase takes hold the cypress note opens out and present its Mediterranean green and warming embrace, with green resinous notes appearing that add warm and depth, this is the masterpiece stroke that sets this fragrance apart.

In my mind I am walking up a path in Tuscany with the late afternoon sun wafting beautiful green and resinous aromas from the tall cypress trees bordering the path, I feel free and confident in me and my surroundings.

Wear anytime during the year, however it really comes to life in heat, a warm breeze in a sunny climate seems to awake and lift the cypress and resinous notes, wafting in waves of gorgeous scent clouds.

Silage is moderate with a well defined scent cloud enveloping the wearer, however warm air lifts and wafts the scent further. Longevity is very good, and the skin scent persistent. The woods feel a little smoky like smouldering woods that have been in the direct sunlight for to long.

I love how this fragrance has a combination of fresh citrus with warm woods with a stunning cypress note. The clove then asserts its presence but never discriminates. It’s incredibly warming and shifts away from the Italian side of things.

The clove gives the fragrance a gourmand light cinnamon vibe, with the natural intoxicating sweetness of clove aromatically shining. It wraps itself in the heart of woods and resins around a beautiful cypress body.

A subtle, classy, high quality fragrance.

Noir Extreme by Tom Ford is an amazing fragrance, assuming you don’t mind a somewhat headier scent. The citrus and florals combine with sandalwood and amber in a surprising fashion, with all of them under-toned by a rich earthly vanilla.

To be honest, headier spicy fragrances don’t usually work well with my body chemistry, so I wasn’t sure how this would suit me. Plot twist; it actually smells kind of amazing on me! At first I tried it out at home, just to see how I would like it.

The orange blossom and jasmine smell amazing, and surprisingly the Indian kulfi worked really well on my skin too. The sandalwood and amber merge with the fresher notes without overpowering them and overall it makes a really interesting and compelling fragrance, the kind of scent that you can’t quite put your finger on the different notes because they dance around with each other and make a kind of shifting fragrance story.

One moment I pick up the orange blossom, later the vanilla, and then later again the rose absolute. I decided to wear to a friend’s wedding and I swear I had 6 separate people ask me what I was wearing because they all liked it so much, including my Ex who was really interested in what it was.

I can’t ignore that level of proof, this is definitely a amazing and surprising fragrance. I will say, going back to the beginning of this review, this is a headier fragrance, it’s not sometime would probably wear everyday.

My daily routine includes more of a light/fresh type of scent, but I will definitely wear this for dinners and go out in the evening. The packaging is pretty stunning too, the bottle is made of a very rich deep cocoa colored glass that is dense and heavy, and it’s trimmed in metallic gold.

Tom Ford is known for his undeniable level of taste and Noir Extreme is no exception. 5 out of 5, def recommend!.

This cologne is filled with rich blend of spicy and citrusy fragrance which comes out as a little less masculine at first but once the smell settles in, it gives away sandalwood and vanilla ember aroma for a creamy, woody finish.

This balances out the overall fragrance for a long lasting/not over-powering smell of spice, wood, and sweet all into one. Not my ultimate favorite collection of Tom Ford, but I think it is worth the purchase.

The pacaging is beautiful and sleek. Love the black and gold. I used this as well as my husband and grandson. When first sprayed I could smell a light powder scent as well as a spicy Woody scent. It smelled different on all three of us but the guys won! It smelled awesome on them.

This is an awesome fall fragrance! I would recommend this fragrance by Tom Ford for sure! Now to find my Tom Ford fragrance!.

I work outside, so I rarely use colognes or let’s call them “fragrances” before someone reading this gets angry about what to call men’s ‘perfume’. Platinum Eau de Parfum made my rotation. It’s in the starting lineup.

One characteristic I look for is the disgust face when you go. “That’s too strong!” It doesn’t make you have the disgust face. Off the spray, it’s not too strong, too flowery, or have the weird change in smell after it’s been on you for over 30 minutes.

It smells more fresh than it does sweet. More “manly” than it does flowery, and keeps its scent fairly well. It’s “Kick” factor is about a 5. 7 out of 10. 10 would be way too overpowering, 1 would be.

it’s water that I can’t smell. I don’t like being reminded I have cologne on after 10 minutes, I’ll let the ladies decide how it smells, but I want to smell nothing. The 4 ladies surveyed in this poll are more important, and they gave it an ‘Ooooh la la.

” One kept her nose at my throat for over 2 minutes and I had to tell her to step back. I said, “Mom, I’m not a flower, get back, you’re in my personal space!” I haven’t picked up a date yet with this cologne, but that may be on my dentist to help fix that problem.

Also sunglasses and a face mask would help as well. I would rate the overall fragrance an 9. 1 out of 10. I have a top cologne that has been my go-to for years. It’s like the Michael Jordan in my lineup and it doesn’t change.

I have yet to smell one that is close but Platinum slightly pushes Jordan. Let’s call Platinum. Kobe!!.

Appearance: The bottle is nice, clean, and a very unique shape. I like that it feels substantial and well made. I also like that the liquid is blue as it shows that it will be on the watery side of fragrances.

Scent: Upon first spray, I am immediately hit with light watery scents of cucumber and citrus. The fragrance is strong but immediately settles into the skin. It feels fresh without being too heavy. As far as longevity, I would say that it may only last around 4 hours, where the scent is noticeable and after that it sort of drifts away.

It smells familiar and sophisticated, definitely great for every day wear. Overall: This fragrance is definitely one of my go-to summer fragrances as it is light, smells clean, and is super inoffensive.

Another added benefit is that you can get it pretty cheap for a large bottle. Nautica Voyage is a scent that I will definitely keep in my collection.

Cheapie Classic! This was my first ever fragrance and looking back i can think of few other fragrances i could recommend to a complete beginner. Voyage is fantastic for the price so if you buy it and don’t like it you’re only out 15 bucks.

Gives you a fresh, clean scent with clean musk and invigorating apple at different stages of the fragrance. Easy to like and easier to wear! Longevity is better than expected and if it performs poorly on your skin, spray heavy, this stuff is cheap! Great place to start off your collection.

Some people, myself included, get a bit of a cucumber and melon smell from the apple note. This smells great too though so no matter what kind of fruity note you get you can be sure it will be pleasing.

I know many people care about compliments so we gotta go over that with this fragrance. Voyage has garnered me compliments in the past but is no where near my most complimented scent. Again, it smells fresh and clean.

Who doesn’t love that?.

I have been using this fragrance for about 2 weeks now – took my time to use it at different times of day before I wrote a review on it. Starting from packaging, the box is designed well and is instantly recognizable.

I’ll give packaging a 7. 5 out of 10 and the design of the bottle an 8 out of 10. Some might find the bottle too flashy, however, it is distinctive and with TF initials in black on a gold cap, I don’t mind the flashiness.

Now moving on to the fragrance itself and how it smells: right after spraying it on, I smell a blend of cardamom with a fade hint of orange/ginger, maybe some amber. Cardamom is the most distinct to my nose in the opening.

Once it settles down, it opens up to a more versatile blend of kulfi/pistachio with vanilla, amber, cardamom, and tonka bean blended in a creamy and smoky fashion. It later reveals the leather notes which last the longest.

Summing up the review, if you like creamy, smoky, and sweet fragrances, this one could be an interesting addition to your collection. To me, this one is better suited for colder weather because of it’s warm and smoky aesthetic.

Now the areas that can be improved: longevity is limited and for a fragrance that bears TF initials and the price tag that comes with it, I would definitely expect it to last at least 10-12 hours but sadly, it doesn’t.

On my skin, it lasts for roughly about 3-4 hours before turning into skin scent. Projection too is moderate to intimate. If you are looking for something that would spread throughout the room and has a vast projection, this might not come up to the expectations.

Lack of longevity also kind of goes against the characteristic of a parfum concentration and it seems like it’s a weaker concentration of oils. My recommendation: the perfume itself a beautiful and interesting blend of ingredients however, should you buy it or not totally depends on what you expect from a fragrance.

I received this Tom Ford fragrance for free from Influenster and Tom Ford in exchange for my honest review. This used to remind me of Carlisle from Parfums de Marly (I guess it must have been the saffron, nutmeg and vanilla), but with each additional wear, I tend to think that this is closer to La Nuit de l’Homme than anything else, with vanilla on top to lend it a gourmand aspect.

It may seem odd to compare those two, but the cardamom is central in both scents, and both are rolled up into a well blended whole wrapped up in woody and flowery undertones. The gourmand aspect of Noir Extrême obviously sets them apart, however I dare anyone to spray them side to side, and notice the similarities.

The flowery tones are also quite different, as lavender is quite prominent in LNDLH. There is no doubt that Noir Extrême has plenty of qualities: it is very well blended, it performs really well, and it has a real nice, mass-appealing scent profile.

This is quite a safe pick for fall and winter if you and your surroundings don’t mind a gourmand type of scent. I wish it had a bit more character, or perhaps that certain notes had more pop to them, or that they did not all equally be part of the composition.

It’s not a real issue in that it goes to show how the notes are well blended. But this is why I would pick Carlisle, Herod or Layton before I would pick this up: something special unfolds when you wear those, and the sillage that they leave has something both mysterious and cozy.

Noir Extrême reminds me more of the classic Pert Plus shampoo smell (LNDLH reminisces me of that every time!), with a really nice vanilla backbone. Nevertheless, this is a great entry-level scent among gourmands, as it is not too daring, but it’s very well-built and performs in real satisfactory manner.

It may not ooze with personality, but it’s far from boring or unpleasant. In a few words: Imagine La Nuit de l’Homme with added vanilla, and different flowery undertones. Pros: Quite versatile and mass-appealing for a gourmand scent.

A sugary, juicy grapefruit glides us through the slip and slide of Bad Boy Le Parfum. We whiz by it pretty quickly, a fog of hazey herbaceous notes slows us down. We’ve been dropped into an aromatic cocktail, smokily infused with hemp and sage like presence.

The middle notes are listed as black pepper and geranium. The pepper is present but defanged, for me keeping it out of the “too foody” category. Bad Boy Le Parfum has beautiful diffusion. Fizzy and fuzzy.

It doesn’t smell like Tom Ford F* Fabulous per say, but the nasal umami I feel is similar. (Also can’t help but notice the similar matte black bottles. )10 minutes in, the original Bad Boy creeps in, though the opening of this one didn’t give the hint that these two knew each other.

Le Parfum if more bitter and herbal, the addition of the hemp/cannabis note is fun. Don’t expect to have your car searched if you get pulled over if you have it on though. Not quite as on the nose as something like Kilians Smoke for the Soul.

It stands out as a designer scent and absolutely welcome when it’s hard to stand out in a good way. The dry down is subdued and up close, long lasting. I can’t find it listed and I am by no means a good nose, but there seems to be a hidden skin musk? An oily through line, a Je ne sais quoi of a Bad Boy, perhaps?Leather is mentioned, but I have a hard time finding it.

Maybe its the memory. He still has a favorite leather jacket buried in the closet, he gives it a side eye occasionally, has a flash back montage, and moves on. I am optimistic about the intentions being on purpose and the balance of the Bad Boy name and how the scent works.

The Bad Boy knows how to handle it’s herb and not get too stoned. The pepper never makes you sneeze, so he knows how to cook. The vetiver at it’s base isnt too sharp, so his timing is perfect. A Bad Boy who was, who now, never lets you down.

When I go out, I like smelling good. A nice cologne is not only necessary for me, but also economical. I recently tried Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Le Parfum, which is packaged in a really cool lightning bolt-shaped bottle, perfect for this Harry Potter fan.

The first time I wore it was a really busy morning getting the kids ready for kindy, and myself ready for work. I was running a little behind schedule and was a little stressed. If you have kids, you learn that getting dressed is one of the last things to do before leaving the house, and so putting on my cologne is near the end of my routine.

The bold spiced-wood scent brought me a moment of calm before I ventured into the stressful world. It smelt really good on my skin, and I loved the little wafts of fragrance as I tackled each problem that arose at work.

Knowing you smell good brings a unique confidence throughout your day, and this Bad Boy exceeds expectations here. I could still smell it at the end of the day, after receiving some compliments about smelling good.

I really recommend this cologne and can’t wait to wear it again tomorrow and my next night out.

Sophisticated and elegant are great words that describe this fragrance. The perfect scent for the modern man. Although far different than the original Dior Homme, Dior Homme (2020) takes the old DNA and turns it masculine and modern.

Francois Demachy works his magic by reworking the scent profile, adding top notes of bergamot, pink pepper, middle notes of cashmere wood, atlas cedar, patchouli, and base notes of Iso E Super, Haitian vetiver, and white musk.

Completely leaving out the prominent note of iris from the original. The iconic note that gave Dior Homme it’s “lipstick” smell. I love the way this smells and how masculine it is. This is a fragrance for a man who is confident but isn’t afraid to show his softer side.

A bold yet gentle person. When first sprayed, you get a blast of the bergamot, making this a clean citrusy opening to the fragrance. As it dries down, woody notes followed by Iso E Super which adds more to the woodiness of the fragrance.

As for performance, I get about 6-8 hours and 1-2 hours of projection. I recommend this fragrance to anyone looking for an everyday scent. A scent that truly lifts you up, makes you feel classy and elegant! Thank you @Influenster for the sample with my Dior Homme Sport VoxBox.

I got a sample and the bottle in the pictures is mine that I had already owned.

My biggest fear was this was going to be similar to Azzaro – Pour Homme (original), Jovan Musk (a cheapie) or some bland headache juice similar to Abercrombie And Fitch – Fierce (or the many clones).

This isn’t at all like any of those thankfully. There is a really well blend of amber and wood notes in the opening. As you move around the fragrance comes off of you in quite a unique way. It’s neutral when it comes to sweetness, it’s this touch of brightness and spiciness to bring it to life.

It has this airiness and warm very slight fuzziness to this. It’s like relaxing at the beach with a slight sea breeze as the ocean breathes this salty air onto you with bits of bergamot (citrus). This comes off as relaxed, easy going.

It’ll draw people in, it’ll make you more confident regardless of the price tag. It can be classy and sophisticated. I remember when I got this in the mail around 4pm, went shopping at 7pm and had a shower, this scent stayed on me after the shower.

It’s not a beast mode fragrance where it’ll choke a room full of people out unless you go crazy on the trigger but still it’s quite strong. Is it the most original thing I ever wore? No. Sometimes we need something less complicated.

How many times do we eat a cheeseburger at a burger place with basic toppings or drink a cup of green tea instead of going with something complex? Exactly. If you want some stupidly complex fragrance you can only wear a few times a year where you see it as many times as your christmas tree or halloween decorations go crazy and buy your 999th niche fragrance.

I admire Dior cared more about mass appeal and wanted something easy to wear. Age for this, 20 and up. it’s more mature and can be pretty sophisticated. Yet this can be worn in just about any occasion, any time of day or year.

You can totally pull off a suit with this on and still be professional instead of some soda overly sweet scent without naming names, You could wear this casually going out with your friends. However.

clubbing and cuddling with your significant other. Dior Sauvage EDT or EDP would still be my pick. Both have their uses but Sauvage excels in both of those situations. I feel you’d get more complements with that on as well.

Is it worth having sauvage and homme 2020? Absolutely they are different enough where you’d have to have quite a vivid imagination to think these smell similar. I couldn’t believe how tiny the 100ml bottle I have is.

I checked the base of the bottle to make sure as this wasn’t 50ml.

Dior Homme (2020) has had quite a bashing since it was released, solely due to the marketing department at Dior having made a big mistake: using the exact same name of an existing popular fragrance, based around the iris note, originally released (by Dior) in 2005.

The name confusion is no excuse really, as the 2020 version is a very good scent on its own and should not be confused with its predecessor, now known simply as ‘Dior Homme Original’. Dior Homme 2020 is a fresh and invigorating, masculine, woody scent that is a no-nonsense, versatile fragrance.

Although it opens with bergamot and pink pepper, it takes many twists and turns before it dries right down, which bring to memory many other modern fragrances. Dior Homme 2020 contains a number of long-lasting synthetics such as ISO E Super (the cedar, ‘pencil-shavings’ note), a touch of ambroxan (ambergris, amber) and cashmeran (cashmere woods).

The nearest related scents to my nose are Escentric 01 and Escentric 02 by Escentric Molecules. It contains very little if any sweetness or powdery notes (a big plus for me). Some have drawn parallels with Terre d’Hermes in the opening and even Aventus in the far dry down.

The entire scent comes across as something quite familiar, yet it becomes something hard to pinpoint. Prospective buyers should not be put off by any of the notes/ingredients mentioned above or the scent’s misleading name.

The whole fragrance is totally inoffensive, office-friendly, can be worn dressed up or down and remains a crowd pleaser that never becomes overwhelming or cloying at any point. This is quite the contrary to Dior’s other recent chemical waste release, known otherwise as Sauvage, which was too overpowering when sniffed up close (yet surprisingly pleasant when smelled on others from a distance).

Dior Homme 2020 feels entirely natural and airy. It blends well with skin chemistry and it lasts remarkably well on both skin and clothes. It was its ‘pull factor’ that had me smelling my arm after applying it.

All in all, a very appealing aroma that screams masculinity, class and sophistication. Just don’t judge it by its label!.

Dolce & Gabbana gifted me a deluxe size sample of their K by Dolce & Gabbana fragrance. and let me begin by telling you, this fragrance is not just for men. The unique, enchanting scent is universal, and wears beautifully on both women & men.

What I love most about it is how invigorating it is, and how well it wears throughout the day. It seems to smell better the longer you have it on, and it just makes a person feel sexy and sophisticated.

Doesn’t matter if your going out to dinner, to a night club, or to the grocery store. wearing this fragrance will get you compliments, so be prepared for it. I’ve had both men and women pass me by and ask what I was wearing.

The versatility is amazing. I think what I look for the most in a fragrance is the awakening of my senses, and this fragrance goes above and beyond doing so. Men and women of all ages would definitely appreciate & enjoy this.

A masculine fragrance for an adult. Fresh Aquatic, yet dark and inviting. This one is truly a masterpiece fragrance by Alberto Morillas you must smell once in your life, and it’s quite strong so no need to overspray.

This fragrance reminds me of my dad. My dad used to wear the original Aqua Di Gio, and I used to steal it wear it in High School. It smells familiar to the original but adds a depth and a heft to it making it more of a late afternoon to nighttime scent for me, but it is super versatile.

I could smell this year round and not be upset. This fragrance contains sea notes, bergamot, incense, sage, rosemary patchouli. The sea notes keep it fresh, but as it wears it almost has a darker vibe to it.

The patchouli in the cologne makes you want to go back smell it again. My girlfriend loves the dry down of this one on me. She struggles with the openings of fragrances, as they lean more alcoholic citrusy, but she doesn’t mind this one, as she knows what it’s going to smell like after a little while.

This is one of her favorites to smell on me. ADG Profumo has been compared a lot to Versace Dylan Blue. I would say they are similar due to the shared incense peppery notes but dylan blue is slightly sweeter and works better on teenagers, whereas Profumo is better for men.

Because I live in a warmer climate, I wouldn’t wear this one all day because of how strong it is. I would lean into this one at night or late evenings.

I just received #VoxBox Acqua Di Gio Profondo Lights Eau De Parfum (which has been released in April 2021) and I found it one of the 2021’s most intriguing #perfumes so far. #ArmaniProfondoLights is the latest and newest version in the collection of the legendary and original #AcquadiGio, so I’m confident to say that it’s is probably going to be mass appealing just like its predecessors.

All above, it’s a must-have Summer Scent for anyone enjoys beach, sea, waves. If you have tried Acqua di Gio Profondo – the previous release of #GiorgioArmani before launching this Light Profondo, you could see that they both have the same DNA, such as sea notes, mandarin, lavender, cypress, rosemary.

But this smells to me much more aquatic than Profondo, and for that reason is much closer to Aqua di Gio original (the legendary of all men cologne until now, may I say). It is less sweet and fresh than Profondo, so that in my point of view, it maybe more mature than Profondo and seems office-appropriate or all-rounder as a daily, night out, casual activities.

One more plus point for its appearance. The gradient blue glass is really eye-catching and could be a gem decoration for your collection. The only disappointed thing is its longevity. If you are used to the long-lasting power of previous versions of Acqua di Gio, this Light Profondo might be a step down (which lasts on me 3-4 hours, such a pity).

Creed – Aventus Cologne Review Hi everyone, I managed to get my hands on the newly released Creed Aventus Cologne and would love to share my thoughts on the new release. The fragrance was released in 2019 and is considered to be an aromatic fruity fragrance.

The nose behind the fragrance is Olivier Creed. Top notes consist of green apple, mint, ginger, mandarin, orange and pink pepper; middles note are patchouli, sandalwood and vetiver; base notes are musk, styrax, birch and tonka bean.

The packaging is what you come to expect from the house of creed and consists of a ribbed cardboard box which has in fact moved away from the general white packaging Creed uses. The bottle is essentially identical to Aventus besides the colour being grey as opposed to black.

In addition to this, the horse and man is also outlined in white. The fragrance opens with a massive hit of what smells to be a lovely mix of the mandarin, mint, apple and pineapple. That being said, you definitely don’t get any of the major pineapple blast that Aventus delivered.

The top is incredibly fresh and extremely mass appealing. I believe they altered the top to be more mass appeal as a large majority of people disliked the top that Aventus delivers. The initial top fades within 20 minutes and you start getting the birch and vetiver popping their heads through.

The birch is not overly strong but it is definitely there. It would be in the order of 10-20% of the birch strength that Aventus delivers. The heart of the fragrance lasts for around 1-2 hours and slowly moves to a smooth base of non-offensive musk.

The dry down is incredibly pleasant and still from time to time get hints of fruits. Overall, I would say that I get similar longevity out of my current formulation of Aventus and it is definitely not a performance monster.

However, this has come to be known with most of the Creed fragrances. I feel you are paying for a quality fragrance that would be perfect as an all-rounder!.

Your journey starts off looking at the price and most likely turning away, but you shouldn’t look away so fast. This fragrance is captivating. I enjoy many colognes and parfums but this here is exquisite.

The top notes last longer than most, where most evaporate around 15 minutes I was still catching them almost 40 minutes in. Pineapple, bergamot, apple and blackcurrant gives off a great first impression.

It doesn’t dull off there. The mid mixes in with brilliance. Birch, pink berries, jasmine and a dash of patchouli keeps this fragrance alive and well. It paints a beautiful picture and delivers it straight to your sense of smell.

Every good painting starts with the base and this is no exception. With hints of vanilla, oakmoss, sandalwood, and ambergris lasting throughout. This is where your journey ends and you smelled fantastic the entire voyage.

Coming back to Minnesota from Texas this Thanksgiving Holiday 2021, after my dad had a very bad car accident; that ended up ending his life. Sprayed this on around 8:30 am on Black Friday. Even after sleeping in our car for a few hours, at the Texas/Oklahoma state line rest area.

And starting our journey back up at 6 am that Saturday morning. Sometime around 3pm or so. We stopped in Kansas or Missouri for some coffee at this convenience store. And the guy working the cash register asked me: Are you wearing cologne? I replied yes, and he asked what I was wearing, cause I smelled so good.

I gladly told him and showed him the bottle. Have to say. This wasn’t the first compliment on this trip. That Creed Aventus turned some heads and people had to approach and tell me how good I smelled.

But I’m surprised how good I smelled even after smoking nasty cigarettes on this trip. And people could still smell this fragrance. Even after 10 hours or more and only applied only once to my body. Just a couple of days ago at the grocery store.

Was wearing this fragrance and when I stepped up to the cashier- She said wooow, you smell good!!!! Glad I purchased Creed Aventus and the Green Irish Tweed.

The most elegant and beautiful of the line hands down. I love the addition of lavender and is a much more layered scent in my opinion than the edt and edp. Definitely more ‘perfumey’ but definitely still an incredible masculine fragrance.

The performance could be a lot better which is a little depressing but there is no doubt that this fragrance is timeless and overall perfects the DNA in my opinion given my personal preferences. The dry down with a heavy dose of ISO with amberwood, cedar, and sandalwood is addictive and I love the touch of green it has.

Just amazingly layered as I mentioned. I do find I need to reapply every 4 hours or so, and I bring a small decant with me. At the price it is, the performance should be better but I will be keeping a bottle in my rotation forever given how great it smells.

I find I also love the Parfum version of Sauvage and I like the BDC and Sauvage DNAs but these stronger concentrations allow more mature wearers to find scents in these lines that they may prefer, offer similar versatility, and are ultimately more refined.

As you climb the ladder of concentrations, you’ll find that not only does Bleu become more dense but the heart and base are more identifiable. The EDT is by far the least masculine, dominated by the common grapefruit note and other fresh accords.

Eau de Parfum turns it up a notch, with a better delivery of woods and masculinity; the happy medium. The Parfum, maximum concentrée pushes masculinity to the limit while still remaining true to its “Bleu” title.

The fresh accords are still present, but hardly running the show. Without second guessing, you can smell the cedar and New Caledonian Sandalwood in addition to any other basenotes listed. This making it more distinct.

Easily over applied, so don’t go nuclear. Bleu de Chanel Parfum is the most intricate of three concentrations, but not at all intricate. Be that as it may, not everything has to be.

If you smelled one bleu de Chanel you smelled them all. This is the quintessential blue freshy fragrance. There are differences between the EDT the EDP and the parfum tho. The EDT is much louder and ambroxen heavy and really smells for people 25 and under.

The EDP is just as loud but with a touch less sweetness is for a bit more even fragrance that’s good for all age ranges. The parfum is much more subdued really dialed back on the ambroxen and adds more woods for more dense experience.

The longevity is pretty good at about 7 hours, projection like I said is not beastly like the other two as this sits at elbows length. The biggest takeaway though is that this is a lot more refined and elegant than the other two versions so I would wear this if I were 30 and up as it probably won’t appeal to younger noses.

I personally collect fragrances and would like to say that after 2015 this fragrance received a massive reformulation due to the removal of oakmoss from perfumery. Oakmoss is typically in most of the base notes of fragrances which means that this is not the only perfume to receive a reformulation.

The reason that this information is important is because that any bottle of this made after 2015 is extremely weak and has drastically been watered down. In total there have been three reformulations since the initial release (2009-2011) (2012-Early 2015) (2015-Now) and the first two reformulations are amazing.

The reason that I gave this 4/5 stars is for this reason as someone who has grown to love this scent has seen it become a former shadow of itself unfortunately. Its still the same scent but the first two reformulations are so much better and thicker/denser.

If you can find a vintage/older bottle somehow or you own one consider yourself lucky but if you are looking for an alternative similar to the original I recommend the flanker la nuit de lhomme bleu electrique which is discontinued but you can sometimes see it pop up on fragrancebuy.

I was originally excited to receive this, but I’m afraid to say that there’s nothing attention grabbing or special about this fragrance. It’s sort of bland and folds right in with the rest of the l’homme flankers.

It does share similarities with the OG but it’s minuscule. It smells competently done and I’m not saying it’s unfinished but after the dry down there’s nothing special about it. It opens warm and decently sweet with ambery characteristics.

I don’t know if this is just me but the opening has a weird coconut note to it that stays for a while. The citrus in here doesn’t play that big of a role it’s sort of just a light nuance the leads you to the mid and dry down.

 As it dries down it freshens up ever so slightly. It comes out as slightly vanillic instead of ambery. Kind of like a lightly spiced woodsy vanilla. Not a ton of vanilla just a smidge. Longevity on my skin was kind of disappointing because I don’t think I could smell anything past six hours.

The ambery woodsyness of this frag adds to how masculine it is. I see a subtle man wearing this. He doesn’t need to be flashy or anything because everyone already know by his presence that he’s the man.

This may work better as the weather cools down, i’m excited to see how this frag works when my body heat is able to push it out in the cold. Can’t wait until fall and winter.

Bleu de Chanel has been one of my favourite colognes for many years, now. I bought the EDT version (released in 2010) several years ago. It’s a bright, fresh fragrance with a superb projection. I then upgraded to the Eau de Parfum version a couple of years ago, and I appreciated the fragrance even more.

It’s woodier, and lasts longer than the EDT. However. this was my first Parfum variant purchase of any cologne. Although it shares the same DNA as the EDT and EDP versions, it’s really in its own niche.

When I tried it for the first time, I somehow expected the same projection and longevity of the Eau de Parfum version. In fact, I even spoke to the fragrance consultants at the John Lewis store in High Wycombe, who then directed me directly to Chanel.

After a couple of conversations, I decided to give the Parfum another try. I’ve since discovered that it’s the higher alcohol content that enables the scent to project further than the Parfum version.

This Parfum is darker, woodier and more dense than the other versions. Its sits closer to the skin, which means that the projection will be around 1-2 metres from the wearer. Those in close proximity to you will pick up this fragrance.

It’s more of a “subtle power” scent projection rather than a “look at me, I’ve arrived!” Now that I understand more about this Parfum, I appreciate it even more. It’s a classy scent.

I don’t suppose I’m the only one for whom BdC was one of the first – if not the first – bottle in the collection. It doesn’t matter if it’s an EdT, EdP or directly the perfume – Bleu de Chanel is first and foremost one thing: mass appeal.

Why I should discover the perfume world for myself with a fragrance that is suitable for the masses? BdC manages to lure the inexperienced nose into a completely new spectrum of fragrances without overwhelming it.

It is a fragrance that I would recognize without any experience in the fragrance world from quite a few. That’s what makes it special: Bleu de Chanel is slick and yet completely unique – no other fragrance in the perfume department of the local mainstream fragrance house smells like it, and yet it doesn’t offend at any point.

BdC goes with every season, every time of day, and every occasion. It is elegant but fresh, complex but simple and intense but easy to wear. For me, a must-have in any collection and a brilliant tip to pick up a perfume newbie.

Glad I only received a sample of this because I was really disappointed. I can see anyone from a wall street finance bro to someone in middle america that works at a gas station and drives a truck wearing this.

I don’t think it’s worth the high price tag at all because it smells cheap to me. Also I can’t believe that anyone would describe this as a “panty dropper fragrance” as this is more likely to make someone want to buy a chastity belt and then immediately tighten it.

I get a lot of black pepper, fruity notes, but mostly it’s just bad. Not to the point of being offensive but ALMOST. It smells like something your creepy uncle with a gross moustache would wear. This is the fragrance of a self-proclaimed “alpha male” that makes everyone roll their eyes when he makes these proclamations.

Would not recommend. It smells very generic and the unique aspects of this fragrance are actually cons.

This fragrance is brilliant and I know I’m gonna ruffle some feathers by saying that. Hear me out: I fall under a small minority that, while I feel the Sauvage DNA is great, it can be both cloying and redundant considering it’s a very easy option for pretty much any man to wear anytime.

The EDT is exceptionally loud, and I found it to shout way too loud for me to wear. Projection and silage is great but it is very easy to overspray. Longevity is increased further and the scent itself is toned down slightly in the EDP version.

Then came the Parfum – I feel like this can be called Sauvage for Adults. It’s got this whiff of maturity to it, kind of like Sauvage went on a voyage around the world and came back a well seasoned traveler.

Definitely a great option for someone who enjoys the DNA but doesn’t want to be considered an early 20’s clubguy. It’s also a great option for people (like me) who really don’t enjoy Elixir, but would be ok with a happy medium between it and the EDP.

This truly is a year round scent and goes extremely well with office wear and jackets/sweater weather in the fall/early winter. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to opt for the large 200ml bottle. I do not regret my purchase at all and hope they retain this version in their lineup for a while.

I’d definitely purchase this one again, and highly recommend it for people who used fragrances like Carbon (from Prada’s Luna Rossa lineup) due to wanting a toned down Sauvage DNA while still remaining true to the scent.

Longevity is subject to your skin type but I recommend applying after a shower for maximum exposure/results. I get an easy 8hrs with my bottle but the scent bubble gets smaller after about 4hrs in. I know it’s still there because people have complimented me a good 6hrs after application.

This is Great. Attention grabbing, Long lasting, Sexy, loud seductive fragrance. Wear it for clubs, date and close encounters and they will just fall in love with you. This is for fresh and cold weather for sure.

The citrus opening and the hint of lavender are noticeable, but most of everything I feel a heavy dose of sweet tonka and leather in the base which are the main notes of the fragrance. 10/10 fragrance Armani Code profumo by Giorgio Armani is an Amber Spicy fragrance for men launched in 2016.

This stuff is amazing.

So to the review title, when I smelled this for the first time I honestly felt like I had just found my sense of smell for the first time. I cannot stand the other Sauvage versions but Elixir changed the game.

It’s worth every penny because I immediately felt like this was what Daniel Craig was wearing filming No Time To Die, or what Elon sprays on before hopping into his Tesla or Helo and heading to watch Starship make a test flight.

It’s commanding but not overpowering, it’s complex but not boujee, it’s manly yet has a slightly sweet anise note, it is to me perfection in a bottle. My only complaints are that it isn’t yet available in a larger bottle and thus will probably be discontinued, and as powerful as it is its sillage is medium if I had to put a scale on it.

It also projects but not too far, only leaves a slight trail. But again maybe that’s the magic of it. The type of man wearing this ALREADY HAS the attention of people when he walks into a room! It’s not for young immature clubbers that fist pump and reminisce of Jersey Shore (you people can stay with Paco Rabanne).

This is for men (or honestly I could see a very powerful beautiful woman pulling it off with passion on her mind) who have their 5h1t together, want to win, want to take on the impossible, but also have the wisdom to realize real alphas EMPOWER and inspire people, and don’t thrive on power or seek it.

has been around since 2004 or so. As for this perfume version, want to say several years. As many know I love Chanel Bleu, and have to admit this is another classic release. is delicious citrus, marine, vanilla, powder, that’s super for delivering outstanding projection.

Primarily a spring/summer cologne, this one will give you a foot or so from your skin, with a aquatic tail that shall make the ladies intrigued. That’s been my experience, and it works for the office, dates, or casual wear too.

Use the Bleu for more dressy events, but in a pinch this will be fine too. A vigorous citrusy experience, that screams of quality. I like the red “Chanel “ top. You’ll enjoy the powerful atomizer, but sadly this one isn’t magnetic.

That’s fine as this is one of the best, and one that should be in your collection.

Am I the only person on earth who likes this more than Eau Extreme?! This is a case of “Don’t fix what is not broken”. I find this excellent if not perfect. The price tag is a bit high, some people recommend that the Versace Pour Homme is a better alternative considering the price.

I agree to some extent, but I believe that Versace is a bit lighter and has a sportier vibe than this one. Maybe in the 2000s, Allure was considered a fresh sport fragrance, but by today’s standard, think this is a bit sweet for that matter.

Maybe a little heavy for the very hot and humid days under direct sunlight, but other than that I think you can wear this anytime, anywhere, even in a more formal situation with ease. I love this well-balanced fragrance and I’d rather wear this over any “Bleu” fragrance out there these days.

Allure Homme Sport by @chanelofficial is a Woody Spicy fragrance for men. Allure Homme Sport was launched in 2004. The nose behind this fragrance is Jacques Polge. Top notes are Orange, Sea Notes, Aldehydes and Blood Mandarin; middle notes are Pepper, Neroli and Cedar; base notes are Tonka Bean, Vanilla, White Musk, Amber, Vetiver and Elemi resin,according to Fragrantica.

This fragrance is the pinnacle of the fresh aquatic genre! Other fragrances have come close but none can equal this one! The opening is wonderful, the combination of aldehydes, orange and sea notes. Later joins some peppery-neroli, but after the first hour the scent changes a lot and I get a calm, creamy-silky vanilla-tonka scent with some musky-ambery base.

It is the creamy base that sets it apart; it adds a separate dimension to the base that is just incredible. This is very often compared with Versace Pour Homme , VPH could be considered as inspired by AHS,cause AHS came out first and VPH 4 years later.

This has that thicker tonka which adds heavier n creamier blast to the freshness that draws you in, which is the highlight of AHS that you just cant find in Versace. AHS has more dimensions and complexity but Versace is the more dumb reach you’ll likely go to exactly for the reason that its more basic.

You can get almost the same effect for half the price with Versace Pour Homme. I actually prefer AHS as it’s a bit smoother but it’s pretty close and I’d just go with the Versace 100% of the time if I had to pick only price wise,but if you want more,choose Chanel quality.

This is one of the safest blind buying fragrance,of course I’m never encouraged anyone to do so, always try before you buy!Spring/summer, daytime scent. Sillage is average, longevity is bit better, I got 6-7hours on skin.

I do have some thoughts about this perfume, some good some not so good. So when I initially smelled this in store I fell in love with the bright citrus notes. It was fresh and vibrant but there was a lingering sexiness to it that drew me in as well.

I have smelled other fragrances in the past that claim to be lemony and citrus and to me they smell like household cleaners and I did not feel that way with Light Blue Eau Intense. I also smelled the other fragrances in the Light Blue line and none compared to the Eau Intense version.

However, as I wore the fragrance more and more I found that it did not sit on my skin for very long (I got maybe 4 good hours out of it) and it got VERY musky on me where all I smelled was musk and no citrus.

I tired it on my sister and the longevity was extremely poor on her as well. She said she liked the way it smelled and her boyfriend liked it as well but it did sit very close to the skin right around that four hour mark; which I find very disappointing.

It is a beautiful fragrance when initially sprayed but it needs to be regularly reapplied to stay fresh smelling. If you are looking for what I have found to be what I wish Light Blue Eau Intense was I would recommend Sunflower Pop by Floral Street.

You will get the same intense citrus notes mixed with some sweetness but without the heavy musk and with much better longevity.

Definitely Defy will be a companion gift for those who love minimalism. The top note, is an addictive, striking blend of fresh Bergamot and Lavender. The middle note is equally unique, with Huong Bai grass oil mixed with the lively and thorny scent of the soil in the land of Haiti, delicately mixed with warm sweet amber.

The highlight of Calvin Klein Defy is the base note, bringing the contrast and strong character of wood, expressing the spirit of challenging yourself, taking risks, and evoking masculinity beyond expectations.

Masculine and fresh woody aromas are encapsulated in a modern, minimalist glass bottle with sharp, delicately rounded edges, representing the courage and the trauma that a man must overcome. across the road to success.

The case and bottle cap are reminiscent of the image and color of Calvin Klein jeans, along with the luxurious silver-plated brand logo.

This is everything I love in a leather accord: it opens fresh, turns rich, velvety, and almost smokey, then settles into a warmth like a second skin for ages. It opens a lot like the main Defy EDT, with a blast of mandarin and pepper, sharp and bright.

Then, the leathers sweep in on the drydown, not too heavy but rich and complex, with a depth enhanced by the Haitian vétiver in the base note. The sillage is moderate, not a skin scent but not loud, and it lasts 4-6 hours on me, longer on my shirt collars, almost 12 hours.

It’s incredibly wearable, especially for autumn. It’s not polite, exactly — what leather is? But it’s a gentleman’s scent, like a fine pair of driving gloves or a well-aged jacket. It’s not a motorcycle leather, it’s a club chair leather.

And I’m probably going to put a full bottle on my holiday list. Don’t blind-buy for someone else, since leather is a tricky accord. If you know it’s one that works for you, then go ahead. It’s a simple but powerful formula, and anyone confident in leather and vétiver will wear it extremely well.

I received this product from Influenster and Calvin Klein in exchange for my honest review. This fragrance is very “ok”. It is Calvin Klein’s first step into the blue fragrance world. It is great to see that Calvin Klein has stepped into modern fragrances after being stuck in the 90’s for so long with CK1, Obsession, and Eternity.

This is the problem though. I feel like they piggy backed on the success of other fragrances in this category such as Sauvage, Y EDP, and Blu De Chanel. It’s a very wearable fragrance with notes of mandarin and black pepper.

It will for sure get you compliments and positive attention. I feel like this is a fragrances that you can wear year round in all situations and it will work. I just wish that there was something that made it stand out more from the rest.

It also lasts a decent amount of time. I got around 6 hours from it which is pretty good from a Calvin Klein fragrance. All in all, a good starter or dumb reach fragrance but redundant if you already have a couple of blue fragrances in your collection.
