Best Character Background For Graveborn (2024 Updated)

I love it as a neutral video conferencing background. It lights up flat and creates minimal shadows. It’s a bear to fold. I tried following the instructions the best to could and still managed to snap the folding frame.

Not looking forward to the repair on the frame, probably will never be as flat. Worth the cost, just be careful folding.

The Cool Grey Collapsible Pop Out Muslin Background is GREAT! With a light stand and background clip holder you are all set to go anywhere for quick and portable portraits on location. I used colored gels on the background to change from grey, to red, green, blue, and yellow.

The background is made of good quality, size and no wrinkles compared to a cloth muslin. I can’t tell you enough how much easier and quicker it is to setup then a paper or cloth background. You will need to go to YOU TUBE and watch a few videos on how to fold it back down small enough to fit back in it’s nice black pouch.

I was able to get it to work on the 2nd attempt. Lightweight and very portable. Don’t waste your time & money on any background except this one! Take my word for it you won’t be disappointed. I would like to get a plan white/balck background next to be able to change things up now and then.

Having the background kit is such a huge improvement in the background image quality in Teams meetings. It allows the video to provide a more natural look vs having jagged edges or missing body parts during video calls.

I like being able to collapse the background during the weekends to free up space in the room.

I really wanted this backdrop but the first one I ordered arrived with about ten small light dots across the canvas. The spots were noticeable enough positioned such that I’d have to edit all of them out of every photo, so I exchanged that canvas for another of the same color (Eclipse).

The replacement also had major defects though! Two hard lines in the paint, also positioned such that I’d have to edit them out of every photo. So I gave up and returned it for my money back. I had also originally ordered the blue (Midnight) canvas along with the first gray one, and that blue canvas was totally fine.

But I don’t trust Savage now for these painted canvas backdrops as their quality control is obviously not good. It’s a shame because I really liked the gray color much more than the blue!.

The actual backdrop is fine but not spectacular. The coloring does not have the pink tinge that shows up in the sample shown on the web site. There are some crease marks that will hopefully diminish with time.

I was very disappointed in the packaging. It was sent in a long cardboard tube that was about a foot longer than the backdrop. The was a small amount of bubble wrap shoved at the ends but not enough to keep the backdrop in place.

When it arrived, the tape at both ends had ripped. The ends of the metal tube were dented and it had to work to get them back to nearly round for mounting.

I bought both the solid and patterned sets. Thought afterward that they would have been so much better if they had been double-sided with solid on one side and pattern on back. Then two sets would have allowed me to have the same pieces on back and bottom.

Wasted opportunity.

Nice colors for backgrounds. Gives a variety to work from. Decent weight, not too flimsy. Just what I needed.

This is a great and easy way to create a backdrop to add some creativity to my headshots and portrait sessions. The X-Drop system makes this quick and easy to setup and very portable. I also have the same backdrop but they vinyl version.

I like the canvas version a bit better but they photograph virtually the same. If asked me between the two which to get I would say the canvas but it also depends on your situation. The canvas does not completely block like coming through the back, but that’s easily taken care of with camera settings and lighting the backdrop from the front.

Westcott changed the canvas material on these backdrops late last year. I have one of their original versions which was printed on a nice light weight textured canvas. The color was rich and vibrant.

now they are dull and printed on cheap almost vinyl feeling material yet they still call it canvas. What a shame, I was planning on purchasing some from their Joel Grimes collection but not anymore. I unfortunately can no longer recommend their canvas version.

Love this drop for travel and studio setup. Note that this is not your standard canvas drop. It’s designed for travel so it’s super light weight and a bit stiff. There is a touch of shine that standard canvases don’t have but it’s barely noticeable.

It’s an incredibly handy drop for the money and for traveling. Worth the money definitely. I am buying 2 more.

Exactly what is described, a 6×9 chromakey green screen. You need your own framework for support (I do). The only reason I give it 4 stars and not five is the hanging hem is on the short side, rather than both.

I had to have the the 9 foot side hemmed as well to use effectively. But it works great.

works great, you do need to hang it from a straight wire or rod, or tack it to a wall. Deep folds or back light or shadows will interfere with the image. But no reflections, no creases that showed, good right out of the package.

For new Zoomers and Meeters this is great. It doesn’t come with anything but the screen, so you will need a few thumb tacks, or frame of your own to get it up behind you. It picked up my backgrounds perfectly with folds and wrinkles in it, so no need even to iron it.

I purchased this set of three 5 x 12 feet backgrounds in White, Black and Grey because you essentially get the stand and traveling case free if you buy just the backgrounds separately. I wanted to take the full length pictures so I ordered the 12 feet version over the 7 feet long version because I did not want the floor to look different in the full length pictures.

If you have not read the product description carefully, these backgrounds are made out of velvety cloth. This is great for BLACK or GREY because the velvet texture will not reflect light. It make it easy for the background to go black.

The Grey may look light when you see it but due to the velvet texture when you take a picture, it does not reflect lot of light and comes dark like it is shown in the product picture. I did not like WHITE or let me say that I am having hard time having white show up as white.

As you can imagine, WHITE is also made of the same velvet cloth but for anything to show up as HIGH KEY proper white, that texture needs to reflect light and this cloth DOES NOT. You will need lot of background light to get this white background to give you a proper HIGH KEY white background.

As some of the other reviewers at this and other websites have written about this product, this cloth can easily get wrinkled and if you are looking for paper smooth background, you will not get that kind of look.

You should just go buy paper backgrounds in that case. The product picture is shown like a paper background. In reality what you will see is a background that looks like a cloth. Also the product picture shows at the top a straight line, you will not get a straight line at the top which you should not care about but still pointing out that the product picture is not a realistic representation of this product.

I love the fact that everything comes in its case and everything is very easy to pack and transport. I do not need this portability but it may be important for some of you. The fabric is very light weight and will move if you have a ceiling fan running in the room.

I am also finding that you need to use 70-200mm lens for the background to be filling your frame properly for single person portrait shots. When I try to use wide lenses like 24-70mm the background is not fully filling my frame and I have to use Photoshop to extend my background using healing and cloning tools.

This takes extra time so I am contemplating if I should get one more of this set so that I have a 10 feet wide coverage whereas right now I only have 4. 5 feet of usable width out of the 5 feet as 1/2 feet is lost in the edges not staying perfectly straight from top to bottom since this a cloth so it tends to bend inwards.

For a quick and easy backdrop, this is definitely something worth considering. I used to use the folding backdrop (I think also from Westcott) for headshots, but as soon as I needed a full-body it wouldn’t work obviously.

This sets up seriously in 1. 5-2minutes and is plenty large and stable. You could perhaps get 2 people side by side as long as you shot narrow enough, but it’s essentially made for one person, full body.

The backdrops themselves are made of a strange, almost wooly material, which seems to be non-reflective, and doesn’t show too many small folds, but will make shadows if you don’t adjust the upper arms well upon setup.

Overall for 200 bucks? Definitely worth it – especially considering how many 1st and 3rd party backdrops are available for this system!.

Several of my pro headshot friends said they have this X-Drop and love it. I put off buying it for about 2 years because I had been using one of those pop up backdrops made by a different manufacturer.

After my pop-up backdrop snapped/broke, I finally bought the X-Drop and I am SO HAPPY with it. First of all, it’s super easy to travel with — I stuck it in my suitcase when I traveled across country for a shoot.

I could not have done that w/my prior pop up back drop. Secondly, it assembles QUICKLY (I watched Westcott’s quick guide YouTube vid). Lastly, I love that the legs can be adjusted so that backdrop’s footprint is small/narrow and fits even the tightest of rooms.

Definitely recommend this great backdrop!.

I bought the sand backdrop and the ocean backdrop. They are so much fun! I fashioned my backyard into a “beach theme” for my 75th birthday and my “young” friends loved it! I floated a inflated shark in my spa, which was a hit!.

30 ft roll give’s you the ability to design a mood inside your home office or business. The colors are great for putting your guests in the mood for partying. In this stressful world we need and escape and these plastic rolls do a good job.

We’ve been buying them for years, started out with 50ft, for only about $5. to $10. I will say I think they could be a little cheaper. Sometimes I have received rolls with defects on the ends like small holes, but for the most part a great way to decorate.

We put two pieces together to cover the whole wall.

Very please, I was cautious in ordering fearing this would have been cheap and flimsy plastic. Not at all! Well worth of $ it’s sturdy and thick plastic. After my event I folded it up for future use.

Glad to have high quality backdrop. Used it for a middle school Galaxy party and everyone raves how great it looked. Added Mini Christmas lights around it. really enhanced the evening scene.

The ivory backdrop was of a rich colour made with good quality fabric. LOVE IT!!!!

Ordered this backdrop for a dance studio picture event and it worked great. I placed backlights on it and the color was just right, the Dance Studio staff requested I use it for the next year’s event.

As others have mentioned the material looks green upon visual inspection, but when photographed it is indeed gray. One side is light gray and the other side is darker gray. The lighter side shows just a touch of green when photographed.

The fabric is heavy duty so it should last a long time. It comes with a fabric carrying bag.

The photo shown looks identical to the light grey version. This product is actually much darker than shown. I still like it but the photo color is misleading. It also has a bit of a greenish tint as noted by others.

Overall it’s ok. I gave 3 stars only because of the misleading website photo.

We were looking for a large and durable green screen that would give us a good chroma key. We did not want to use paper because of durability concerns, we did not have a wall to paint chroma green,and we did not want to worry about wrinkles in chroma key muslin fabric.

We have used Savage vinyl white backgrouds in the past with great success and we expected the same high quality background with this Chroma Green vinyl background from Savage. We were able to get a good key even though our lighting was a little off.

The backdrop is durable and should be good for repeated uses. This is great for a studio setup that is used occasionally. It can be easily rolled up for storage. It is a little bulky so it is not ideal for traveling from location to location.

We had our subjects standing on the background to do a full body chroma key and we did notice some light scuffing where they stood. We had to tape the background to the floor with gaffer tape to prevent the vinyl from slipping or from creasing the material.

What I was looking for was a good chroma green background without having to build a cyclorama wall. The Chroma Green Infinity Vinyl Background by Savage was the perfect solution for me. I was highly impressed with the quality of this background.

I have used many muslin backgrounds in the past and the problem with the cloth is the wrinkles and the thinness of the fabric. The vinyl background is made of a think durable piece of vinyl that is easy to clean.

I bought the 10×24 backdrop, which is good for a permanent location. We have ours mounted from the ceiling. The 10×24 is a little heavy for a support system especially if you are going up high. Overall I am very satisfied with this product and will be looking at getting a white background next.

This material reflects so much light it is useless. We used the paper for years with no problem. For it to work, you need a lot of space around so no light reflection. Unlike paper that you can use in a tight office with white wall , this can not and wrecked a $5000 shoot.

I have been working with Chromakey for over 30 years and do know how to light and what I am doing. Do NOT buy!!!.

This product is very well made and works exactly as it should. The only very small drawback is that it seams to drain the camera battery over a couple of days even when the camera is turned off. This is only a minor issue though because otherwise I am very pleased with how it performs, I just remove it from the camera when it is not in use.

This is a good quality, compact soldering iron. It is easy to light up with the trigger and heats up quickly. The gas tank is easy to fill, and shows the level of LPG in the transparent window, making it easy to fill up.

Works really well with my LOREX system. The instructions are lacking in details, and I couldn’t find the exact software instructions on the WEB? So mostly just winged it on the installation.

These surfaces are beyond awesome. So easy to transport, set up, and give any product photo that extra wow-factor. Super sleek and modern designs. Cannot rave about these enough. Every person who sees them in action wants some.

They are that good. Don’t wait on these, you won’t regret it.
