20 Best Bully Sticks For Dogs Made In Usa (2023 Updated)

I have mixed feelings on these strips. My Beagle 9 months old thinks there Heaven. I have purchased these for many years for my 17 year old Puggle, that went to patrol the Rainbow Bridge in August. Her teeth were not as good as my puppies teeth so this treat would last my Puggle a good hour.

My Beagle puppy chews these in 30 seconds. If you want a treat for an older dog these are great. If you want it to last for a puppy not so great for length of chewing. The puppy will definitely enjoy these for 30 seconds.

I will still purchase for my puppy, she enjoys them for a quick treat. I enjoy that they are not from China. I also enjoy she is eating one ingredient treat. As for the price, yes they have increased in price, everything has increased.

Still I believe these are well worth the price here on Chewy.

First off let me start off by say this. do people not know what bully sticks are? Complaining about size and smell?? People they are male bull penis that have been dried. They’re not going to smell like roses by any means, and that “knot” that people are complaining about is the tip of the penis area.

We don’t circum size animals so they’re fully intact so when they’re butchered and bullys sticks are made. Your getting the whole piece, of it’s straight that means it’s been cut down to make smaller pieces.

Having bought this before from another seller and now here with this bag you get the full piece. These aren’t the best choice for small dogs. That being said I have 4 dogs they are all spaniel breeds and they loves and will even dance from them.

They only have to see the bag and will start dancing or sit very pretty. I like that you get what you get, kind of thing here. There’s no fillers or extras added it’s just the sticks. I’ve bought this brand in several different sizes and this by far is the best option for us.

They tend to keep the dogs interested for several hours to even a couple days. I’ve tried other brands and still always end up back with Cadet. Great product and mulit-dog approved.

My dog just loves these treats and we have been buying them for years. My last purchase through Chewy was disappointing though. Each bag looked very light in color. The treats were dry, stale brittle and broke into splinters of beef.

No way was I going to give these to my pup. Never had this problem before. This is her usual go to treat. I dont know what happened or why Chewy would send bad product to a regular and long time customer.

Hopefully this will help to assure that no other customer pays for, which seems to be, old product. All 3 bags sent to me were this way.

I had not purchased from this company for about 2 years but now have a new dog so ordered again. I have purchased the ‘Bully Bites’ many times in the past but this time they looked completely different, almost like they had been ‘fried’ or something.

Every one of them looks shiny both inside and out. They almost look like plastic. I would like to know if the company was sold or is there is a different manufacturing process now? My dog eats them but would like to know the reason for the change.

I don’t think I’d order these again.

My pup (64lb ACD/GSD mix) gets through “long lasting” chews in no time at all, and has no interest in antlers and after bad experiences with bones resulting in a broken tooth and medical bill (except for some selective raw bones), I’ve decided bully sticks remain the best.

However, the full sized sticks are expensive, and i also don’t want her chewing a full sized stick every day. These bites are PERFECT and are healthier (lower in fat in the nutritional info) vs. some other popular snacks like the mootubes! She takes about 1-5 minutes to eat one (depending on the integrity of the bite), and it’s just a great little fun distraction she loves.

I was initially worried that this size would present a choking or blockage hazard if she swallowed whole, but as I’m familiar with how my girl operates now, I can say: 1) her stomach is made of steel and seems to have no problem digesting these 2) in the odd event that she eats something that doesn’t seem to want to get digested, she’ll just puke it up whole (this has happened twice with these bully sticks now in 2 years.

These remain the only treats my dogs get. Two Jack Russells, elderly English Mastiff and adult Central Asian Shepherd. I’ve had the 5# bag of Bully Bites on auto ship for a couple years. There used to be a nice selection of sizes in each bag but now they are just small ends and pieces.

Dogs still love them but it really means handing out a small handful to the big dogs daily. I really wish the product hadn’t changed.

I have been buying these by the case for my 12 pound Maltipoo since she was a puppy. She loves them and always anxiously awaited her “stick” in the evening. This was the only type of chew she has ever had because they were advertised to be safe.

She has never been given any other type of bone to chew for fear of them splintering. After developing it a huge swelling under her eye and cheek that came on quite suddenly, we took her to the vet and found that she had an accessed tooth.

The abscess was caused by a broken tooth, and unfortunately, there were several other teeth that were broken or cracked, resulting in the extraction of 6 teeth! Do not buy these for your pups!!!.

Ordering was easy and shipping was quick. Our Weimer likes them, but disappointed with the inconsistent size of the 12” sticks. Some (too many) were very thin and our dog devoured them in less than 30 minutes.

Previous company we purchased from the diameters were consistently 1”-1. 5” thick and the each stick lasts her for hours. Saved a little money here, but not enough to offset the product size and therefore how long the sticks last.

No choice but to return to the previous company.

I’ve bought 4 boxes so far and my Corgi pup loves them. Not all the sticks in the box are fat and chunky. Some are skinny and some are odd shaped. Regardless of the “less than ideal” size and shape, I still think it’s a great deal.

Plus my dog enjoys the size variety. Most recent box I bought in Apr 2021 had red/pink color bully sticks. They weren’t brown like the previous boxes I purchased but my dog enjoyed them a lot and it DOESN’T STINK! Thank goodness for the improvement!! The older version was very stinky but I only put up with it because my dog loved them so much.

High quality, highly digestible, and longer lasting than straight sticks. Great for moderate and heavy chewers! My 5 month old Golden Retriever puppy is an aggressive chewer. Light to moderate chewer offerings are a few minutes thing for him.

He loves working at these until he can get the pieces apart and then he has three bully sticks! Considering he’s a hot mess and all over the place, that usually means the three pieces end up in different places in the house so he gets to find a surprise bully somewhere later! Lots of fun and great for my teething puppy.

I found these for my non-stop-always chewing 10 boxer pup. They have Lil smell, she can knock one out in a day unless I take it away half way thru and give it back the next day. Excellent babysitter when you wanna clean house or if they have separation anxiety.

There were 25/ 7in braided bully bones. at the pet store I paid $11 for one, so to get 25 for a lil over a $119 after taxes was a great idea. So if you have a dog that you need them to just chill bc they are overly excited.

My pup Macchi loves these bully sticks so I’ve been buying this brand for the past 4 years. The product itself is still good but sadly the price continues to increase while the bully sticks themselves are getting thinner and thinner.

Several of the bully sticks in my last order were as thin as two regular pencils taped together. The bully sticks are good, but honestly, not good enough to justify the price.

I cut these long steer sticks into two pieces for my small Cavaliers. My big elderly lab enjoys the full size. These streer sticks are easier for my lab to eat that harder bully sticks. These steer stick are probably the favorite stick for all 3 of my dogs.

This is a great quick, crunchy snack/treat to keep your puppers busy for a bit. We love giving these to our Pug grumble when they want something to chew on other than a traditional bully stick. Definitely would recommend these!.

I have ordered these bully bites via autoship for quite a long time, but have noticed a decline in quality. My most recent order of 4 bags (4 pounds!) is by far the worst I have ever received. Tiny bits, hollow, smelly.

Most went into the trash as they would be choking hazards for my dogs. What a waste of almost $60! I am cancelling my autoship for these bully bites and will be looking for something else.

Nature’s Own has downgraded the quality of the bully bites. Most are hollow which means less chew time for my small dogs. I’ll be searching for a more suitable treat that will longer lasting.

These bully stick bites are great for smaller dogs, who don’t necessarily need a full 6 or 12 inch stick. The price for the size of the bag is great, and they seem to be as good quality as any other bully sticks we’ve tried.

I have a German Shepherd dog and she loves bully sticks. For some reason she did not care for these. They seemed dry and not as solid as the others I purchased from Chewy. Very expensive might I add.

They were the only ones available at the time of purchase. Looked good, but she doesn’t like them unfortunately. Will not purchase again. I need to buy them in large qty of 50 count. Chewy needs to keep better stock options for these bully sticks or I may need to purchase elsewhere.

I am so excited to see chewy carrying these! I discovered these recently at my local pet store and feel a little guilty buying them here but will be sure to shop at both places! My 70lb GSD mix is a heavy duty chewer.

He loves bully sticks, but he is also watching his weight. These buffalo bully sticks are lower in fat than the beef ones. He absolutely went crazy for these with the honey coating! Even better, they lasted longer than the beef ones I had been getting.

These are great for our dogs who love to chew. We have a heavy chewer and a moderate chewer, they give them about 20 to 30 minutes of busy time. The chews digest easily and are great for our heavy chewer who has allergies.

In my search for chew toys that the dogs wouldn’t destroy in 15 minutes, I purchased and gave my dogs each a smoked & dried 2′ bully stick. I was very happy when they were still chewing on them 90 minutes later! Bubba was down to about 5″ left and Daisy hadn’t even gotten halfway through hers yet! She eventually gave up and let Bubba try to finish hers, which he didn’t! He gave up in order to romp around the yard.

He did finish his. And then. a few hours later. A scent began to waft in the air. At first like old shoes that had dried up and gone moldy. I realized that Bubba was laying at my feet. I realized that he might just be farting.

‘Meh’, I thought, naively. I went back to watching my movie. A few minutes later. I noticed my eyes had started to water. It was not a sad movie, I was not crying. I glanced around and took a big sniff.

MISTAKE. It smelled, for all intents and purposes, as if the dogs had dug up a desiccated and mummified corpse and eaten it, only for it to return in gaseous from from their neither regions. I tried wearing a filter mask, but it had very little effect.

I tried to cover the odor with some essential oils – chocolate chip cookie scented, to be precise. That just made the house smell weird – like an Egyptian embalmer’s apothecary. I considered sleeping in the car as both dogs insisted on sleeping in the bedroom with me.

This morning is better. My eyes have stopped watering. It smells mostly like day old chocolate chip cookies with the random scent of a dead dried rat somewhere. I sincerely hope that this instance does not spoil my enjoyment of chocolate chip cookies in the future.

I recommend giving your dogs one of these chews each on Halloween a few hours before your haunted house opens up, and placing the dogs somewhere in the Haunted House in order to lend an ‘air’ of authenticity to it.

I have been buying these bully sticks for years now for my (2) Jack Russell fur babies. Would give 5 stars but because of the price and can never find a discount or sale on them is why I’m giving a 4.

Thought I’d share how I make the most out of them and make them last longer. I by the 1. 7 oz single stick which is actually 24in. Long. I have to be as sneaky as possible getting downstairs into my basement which I have been unsuccessful in doing as they can sniff it out in a millisecond but nevertheless get it downstairs, I put it in a vise and measure it out by putting small etch marks every 2in with a small hand saw that I have now specifically dedicated just for cutting these things.

Then I proceed to cut the 12x2in pieces which as stated gives you (12) 2in pieces so I can now at least afford to give them smaller ones more frequently throughout the week more or less. The 1. 7oz cost approx $14.

99 and if you were to by the equivalent that only comes in a bag which I do not like I think it’s like $30. 00. Price of saw, already had it so why not use it!! Price of my fur babies excitement when they know whTs in my hand?!?! Priceless!!!! Note worth mentioning though, if you think they stink while they are enjoying them, they really stick when your trying to cut them so keep that in mind and mash your hands and saw off each time for safety and health reasons.

Just throwing it out there, I do not claim and responsibility for any injuries and such. Just giving my idea as to how I have to stretch a buck these days in order to afford getting them for my most precious babies.

I’m not sure what happened here. First, bully sticks in general tend to be quite foul-smelling, but this batch smelled particularly bad. Second, I have had good success with my puppy and bully sticks in the past (Barkworthies, etc.

), but my dog is willing to chew these for 1-2 minutes max and then hides them somewhere, never to touch them again. I think Good Lovin’ needs to reformulate. I would also like to see recyclable packaging.

These things are absolutely amazing! I’ve had problems in the past with my PitWeiler chewing cords, clothes and the walls (no joke) until I found these ! They are amazing and do well with my PitWeiler ! She is 70 lbs and full of chew ! I recommend this product to all pet parents out there !.

My dog loves these! Shes a Pit Bull with strong jaws and she finishes a bully stick in under 10 minutes and Ive tried many brands of bully sticks. With Shadow River s bully sticks she took almost 40 minutes to eat it and Im thrilled! At last a bully stick that gives her jaws a workout, satisfies her need to chew and tastes great! Im definitely buying again and spreading the word in the dog rescue community!.

Shadow River puts at a good bully stick. They DO NOT stink. I have bought several other brands and the odor was horrible. My only disappointment was that the thick was not much different than the regular.

Bailey is a Haveamalt and from dinner time until about 9:00pm there is about 2 inches left on a 6 inch bully stick. Next time I will try the jumbos.

We absolutely love Bowwow Bully sticks!!! My pup is an aggressive chewer…every toy gets destroyed even the ones for aggressive chewers he tears thru in just minutes. The bully stucks keep him occupied for hours and I know he is safe.

My only negative is my issue really…I never order enough, then when I try to re-order using subscription because it is monthly it automatically went to next month when I thought I would be getting an order the next week (this was right after my guy was neutered, all he could do was lay around and chew).

By the time I realized I needed them, did not have them I saw issue. Now, we are without them. Changed date so they shipped out same day (6/17 and today is 6/24 still no bully sticks) shipping really takes a long time.

I love the idea and knew it was something I needed to get for my two French bulldogs. The device is durable, well-made, and easy for my pups to carry around and use. The only disappointment was that my male dog (who is two and weighs 32 pounds) was able to get the bully stick out.

These were the bully sticks that came in the starter kit. It had to do with the natural back and forth movement while he was chewing on it. When I switched to the bully sticks we normally use, which are wider than the ones that came with the kit and slightly softer (so it pins the stick more securely), he cannot get it out.

Obviously we do not let them have bully sticks while we are not home, but I feel better knowing that we don’t have to worry about choking on the last little bit. My only suggestion would be to make them in different colors!.

I love that these are sturdy, they don’t splinter and they don’t smell. We used the thick bully sticks with the bow wow buddy and our pup was so happy to have her favorite treat again. I tried so many different sticks but since she’s a gulper, so I couldn’t trust her with a bully stick of any size even when I was right there next to her because she’s gulp it down when it was still quite long! Very frightening.

The bow wow buddy made it possible for her to have her bully sticks again, which gives us all some peace and quiet lol! Our 20lb mini Aussie can get through 1/2 of a thick size in about 15 mins so I take it away after 15 mins and save it for another time.

I bought a bag of 10 of these 6-inch braided bully sticks. During the checkout process, I was offered an additional discount to double the order and so I did. So I received 2 bags, for a total of 20 6-inch braided bully sticks.

My first complaint is that these sticks are some of the absolute stinkiest bully sticks I’ve ever gotten! I can smell them from about 5 feet away and the stench is strong enough to give me a sinus headache and make me a bit queasy.

I’ve purchased bully sticks from other websites and while I’ve had some that are pretty smelly, these are by far the worst. Secondly, my dog (35 lbs) takes about 7 minutes to eat a 6-inch thick straight stick.

I was hoping that by being a total of 18 inches (three 6-inch sticks braided together) it would take him at least 3 times as long (21 minutes) and that being braided would in fact slow him down just a bit and make this a roughly 30-minute treat.

Well, that was not the case. He busts through these in 12-15 minutes. With this being the case, it’s a better deal for me in the long run to simply give this dog 1 of the single, straight sticks then have him wait 5-10 minutes and give him a second, and after another 5-10 minute pause, give him a third – all the while his little brother is taking his sweet time to enjoy a single stick (10-lb dog, takes about an hour to enjoy 1 6-inch straight stick).

Despite the speed with which my dog eats these, and the stench of them, my dog seems to absolutely LOVE them. For that reason alone, I gave it 3 stars rather than 1 or 2. And for that reason alone, I will recommend them.

If your dog is not quite as heavy a chewer as mine, or is a bit smaller, then these may last longer. Perhaps I just got a particularly smelly batch. I don’t plan to buy these again. I will look into some larger, low odor or no odor versions and see if I can get my dog an option that really does take him 30 minutes or so to enjoy.

Our pups love these braided bully sticks by Cadet. We have tried others and because the braid is so closely woven together, they seem to last longer than most. Our pit mixes and boy-pit LOVE the taste, They don’t stain, smell (too much) and this is one of their go-to treats.

If you want something which lasts a really, really long time, this is not the treat to choose. (though i will say for about 10-25 minutes, everyone is very happy!)).

The Cadet Gourmet Braided Bully Sticks are a favorite for my 3 dogs. I have an 11 year old 90 pound Golden Retriever who can eat a 12 inch stick in 1 hour. I have an 8 month old 30 pound Australian Shepherd puppy who takes all evening and a 12 year old 20 pound Cairn Terrier who will chew on her stick all day.

I only buy the 12 inch because it just saves time. The product does have a bit of an odor, but my dogs chew these on my light carpet and there are no stains. I reserve these for when I really need them to settle down and be quiet.

These were ordered as Thick Bully sticks, they are more like regular to small size. There is no quality control that only allows Thick Bully sticks to be selected. At least as far as my orders have shown.

Since they don’t regulate sizing, your order by weight would be the next best thing, since if they undersize the pieces, at least you would get proper weight, but they don’t weight the packages either.

It seems like an inferior way to exercise quality control, or perhaps they are maximizing profit over customer satisfaction. The pictures they use to represent “Thick” Bully sticks are not representative of what is shipped, a deceptive practice in my view.

Not only are these a good buy, they 1. Are loved by all 3 of my dogs 2. A high source of protein – if your dog is not used to high protein content start slow 3. It keeps my dogs entertained 4. Most importantly they are GREAT for cleaning teeth! I had one of my girls scheduled for a dental as the staining was so great that I thought it was decay and there was reddening at the gum line (gingivitis).

Her teeth looked 65% better after having 1 of these bully sticks. After 2, the gum line started looking healthy again. I cancelled her dental appt. She had her check up a few days ago, a month after starting her on the bullies, and the vet said her gums look great with no signs of gingivitis and there are just 1 or 2 teeth that have minor staining! Whether you brush your furkids teeth or you do not, these bullies are a great add to maintain dental health for your dog/s (providing high protein is not a dietary/health issue for your dog)!.

These sticks are very thick, but they don’t last as long as you would expect them too. For reference, I have a pitbull and he is a powerful chewer. I ordered the super jumbo based on the description of the product.

If he chews consistently, the sticks haven’t lasted longer than about an hour or so. They keep him busy as Long as they last lol. The biggest downside to these sticks in particular is how very terrible they smell! They are FUNKY right out of the package and the smell fills the room as soon as he begins to chew.

Of course he loves the smelly ones. It’s nauseating. I’ll probably have to try another kind/brand next time.

My dog tends to eat Bully Sticks and choose very quickly. The problem is, because he is a smaller dog, when the bone gets too small and he can’t really hold it in between his paws, he ends up swallowing the rest of the bone hole.

I was looking for stick that was somewhat soft so he could continue to chew it in his mouth without swallowing 4 in of hard bone in its entirety. This definitely did the trick. It’s nice and soft and he can break it up with with his teeth.

With other bones, I worry that we will have to go to the vet emergency room because he has swallowed about 6 inches of hard bone. He loves The Taste and I’m eager for them to get more in stock. Great brand and I will definitely be ordering more!.

After learning about the dangers of rawhide, I’ve been trying frantically to find something to keep my super chewer standard dachshund busy. He becomes quite a handful if he doesn’t have something to chew on, so he was going through at least one thin rawhide stick per day.

I’ve tried about a half dozen alternatives at this point, and the Barkworthies Odor-Free American Bully Sticks are the absolute best. It presents the same level of challenge to my chewer as rawhide did—perhaps more so, as I don’t let Duke eat an entire stick in one sitting.

So far, each stick has lasted about 3 chew sessions. And while most bully sticks should be called bully STINKS, this one is tolerable for my human nose! I’m putting these on AutoShip. A big winner! Thank you, Barkworthies, and thank you, Chewy!.

It doesn’t stink up the house like other non-low-odor bully sticks. Her mouth is a little stinky, but not as bad as with the non-low-odor though. I think the curly sticks may last a little longer than the straight ones, slightly more challenging for her to chew up.

My dogs love these. they don’t last long but they are always excited to get them.

Disappointed in this product. I guess I should have known from the sale price the description was misleading. Overall my dog enjoyed the crunch. Each treat lasted less than 2 minutes with his overzealous chewing.
