I’ve managed through the decades with standard blenders, some higher end, some “Your mother’s $30 blender,” and it’s always the same: adequate for foods that are already soft–I mean, how hard is it to puree strawberries? My chief use for a blender is to make smoothies that contain a lot of ice.
My post-bike ride smoothie is mango puree, buttermilk and ice. It always takes several minutes, constantly stopping to redistribute the ice. and taking way too long for a smooth result. I’ve looked periodically for a really good blender but have balked at $400 price tags.
I finally found a blender that looked like it would kick smoothie butt; however, it was too tall to fit on top of the countertop and under the upper wall cabinets. Then I took a chance on this blender.
It’s a lot bigger than mom’s blender, but it fits in the standard space between counter and cabinets. I just gave it its first real trial, with 2 trays of ice cubes + mango + buttermilk. I played briefly with the pulse action but found that the slow-start to full-speed mechanism of the numbered settings worked even better.
It *appeared* that the mixture was blended within just a few seconds. I was skeptical, figuring there would be big chunks of ice when I poured it out. But NO! It was really perfectly blended to basically soft-serve consistency in a fraction of the time it took my old blender.
I can’t speak to longevity, of course, but if this holds up, it will be a great addition to the electronic kitchen slaves. And it looks pretty sharp on the counter, which is good because it’s awfully heavy to be moving it in and out of cabinet storage.
In summer, it will just live on my countertop. Nice job, Kitchenaid!.

I’m new to the world of Ninja products as a consumer, and went into this new system as an owner of an (older) blender with smoothie attachment, a food processer, and a famous-name-brand-heavy-as-heck countertop mixer.
I stay connected to the blender to make meal replacement shakes every day, my daughter is a huge fan of smoothie experimentation, and my wife is endlessly prepping something different to bring variety to the kitchen table every night.
The amount of devices that has my family whipping, blending, chopping, kneading and mixing require more kitchen real estate than we have, and inevitably involves someone trucking down to a distant part of the house to get the right tool out of storage.
The Ninja Foodi Power Blender Ultimate System is a jack of many trades that more than adequately answers the bell for whatever the task calls for, providing an array of solutions in a small footprint.
In terms of what you get in the ultimate system, it’s pretty abundant: a 1600 watt motorized base, a 72 ounce power blender pitcher and lid, a chopping and crushing blade assembly (yes, like many other reviewers, it is sharp and drew blood when I handled it a bit carelessly), a dough blade assembly, a disc spindle with separate grating and slicing discs, and two different blending containers in a 18 oz smoothie bowl maker and a 24 oz.
nutrient extraction cup. It also includes a feed shoot lid with pusher, and a pretty neat bookolet of recipes designed to leverage every inch of what the device can do. One of the biggest selling points to me was the raw power.
This thing pushes 1600 watts, which was almost double my older 900 watt blender/smoothie machine. This motor muscled through whatever we threw at it, and to start the bench testing I went straight to the recipe booklet they provided and chose the one that seemed the most obvious to start with – a fresh citrus margarita.
Because…margarita. This was actually a great recipe to start with because it started to walk me through the other really important feature of this device – the technology. I’m used to blenders with a limited selection of power options, but the Ninja AutoIQ technology is next level.
This essentially offers you preset blending options tailored to whichever container is connected, and built for the recipes you would use those containers for. If my daughter wants to blend a smoothie or make some of her homemade nut butter in the smoothie bowl, she sees options for ‘Extract’, ‘Smoothie’, ‘Spread’ or ‘Bowl’ to choose from once you set the single serve cup or XL bowl container in.
If my wife or I want to go to town using the larger pitcher with things like chopped veggies, or making some silky smooth homemade hummus (a staple in our house), fresh cookie dough or even more margaritas when I finish the first batch, we see options for ‘Spread’, ‘Smoothie’, ‘Bowl’, ‘Chop’, ‘Dough’ or ‘Disc’.
If none of those preset options of power or pulse make sense for what we are doing, we can press a separate ‘Manual’ or ‘Pulse’ button and customize the blend to how we want it. All of these options present on a clean interface of a simple rotary dial with a dark face and dark band around it that both have LED indicators which turn on when activated.
The whole build is really satisfyingly simple and clean, but with a commercial grade feeling in weight and quality. I also love the construction of how the pieces interact, in that any of the containers need to be inserted and ‘twist-locked’ into the base for the base to actually provide options.
I had an issue with my last blender in that, as it got older, I had to be careful about making sure the smoothie cup was clearly and tightly inserted…sometimes the blender would go on while the plastic spindle head at the bottom wasn’t quite inserted, and it slowly started stripping and making awful melted plastic smells.
Doesn’t feel like that will ever be an outcome with this setup. I also like how the lids interact with the containers. The large 72 oz pitcher has a flat lid with an inset handle that lifts outwards to lock/unlock, and a release button to allow removal rather than just pulling right off.
It also has a liftable cap for just a pouring spout if you want access to the finished product that way, which is a nice feature. It also has a feed chute lid for food processing projects with similar lock/seal capabilities.
The smaller 18 and 24 oz containers have a really neat feature (to me) in that the cover/blade base assembly twists onto the top of either with ridges inside the containers, rather than how you feel the ridges on the outer edge on the top of a bottle or jar.
It makes for an noticeable locking seal that you can feel trying to remove it after a blend, and again is really clean in terms of appearances. The cutting/chopping and grating spindles and blades are pretty straightforward (and sharp- drew blood just taking it out of the box), and the cleanability of the system overall is pretty impressive and simple.
All in, we love the versatility of the Ninja Foodi Blender, and the Ultimate System really ends up being a veritable swiss-army-knife of kitchen devices. While we still will have some of the dedicated go-to devices for bigger cooking or baking productions that may warrant them, the Foodi does a great job of allowing us to tackle a large variety of food-based challenges while keeping the kitchen uncluttered, and keeping the treks down to storage to a minimum.
First time to the Ninja Family, and it definitely feels like we may stay awhile.
Wow! I love this! I had an Oster blender, but the lid leaks and it could not crush the ice well enough for a smoothie. I have a Magic Bullet, it could crush ice – is small and easy to use, but could not crush frozen fruit.
This thing has crushing power! It will make snow out of ice, and the shredding is fantastic. I didn’t think I would use the shredder, I was making zucchini bread and was manually shredding the zucchini thinking it’s only going to take a few minutes and not worth the hassle of getting out the big guy – but after a minute, I decided to try it out – and it shredded in seconds and was so easy! It was so fun and so fast – I was looking for things to shred, so I had to shred an apple to add to the bread.
I also preferred the consistency of the shreds over the manual shredding. Easy clean up – everything in the dishwasher except the base. Suction power to the cabinet is tight! It’s hard to lift and move, I have decided I am putting this in a permanent spot on top of my cabinet, I believe I will be using it everyday, but I will suction it to a cutting board so I can slide it around and push it back against the cabinet.
This thing is not too heavy – it’s light, I am older so I appreciate this. I love the simplistic design and the space saving base, and I don’t need 2 pitchers – so I love that this comes with just 1.
If I could make suggestion – I would make the chute a little larger, I would have liked to have fit my medium size zucchini without having to slice it in half – that way I could make round slices for fried zucchini chips.
I do like the round hole with the removable pusher for carrots and skinnier items. But the chute could be larger, and it would be perfect. Also – if you had a disc for making spirals – long zucchini noodles – zoodles! I would definitely buy that accessory.
I did not receive this as a promotion – this is my honest review.
The Ninja Foodi Power Blender Ultimate System is THE BEST blender that i’ve ever had the pleasure of using. First and foremost, it came with a quick start guide, recipe book, recipe card, and instruction manual that were all extremely easy to read.
This blender has lots of parts so the quick start guide and instructions were very helpful The first thing I made were margaritas and I was not expecting the absolute power I was met with. I thought it was going to take off, but there are suction cups on the bottom of the blender to keep that from happening haha I used the IQ setting and It shredded the ice in seconds and made a nice, thick margarita with the perfect slushie texture.
The next thing I made was some ranch dressing in the smoothie bowl maker. I love little inserts that come down to make sure all the ingredients get mixed up well. Then I tested what I was most excited for, the grater/shredder.
My goodness, this is a GAME CHANGER!!! It shredded a whole 8 ounce block of cheese in under 5 seconds. It easily shreds and slices veggies within seconds. You can also make dough in this blender, though I have not used that feature yet.
But it’s nice to know that it is there when I need it. The pitcher, lids, blades, and grates are all dishwasher safe, which I love and the design is absolutely beautiful. The only downside of this blender is having to keep up with all the parts.
It has a whole dedicated shelf in my cabinet to make sure I don’t lose anything. The extra space it takes up is totally worth it, though! This is now a staple in my kitchen and one of my most used appliances.
Create batters, smoothies, juices, nut butters and so much more with the Vitamix 5300. This high-performing kitchen tool boasts a high-performing motor that propels the aircraft-grade, stainless-steel blades through tough ingredients to create the highest-quality blends.
Achieve a variety of textures with the variable-speed function that you can control and adjust anytime during the blending. Chunky soups, thick smoothie bowls, smooth and drinkable juices do it all! The Pulse features lets you add a coarse chop to your blends for heartier recipes like chunky salsa.
The 64-oz. pitcher is the perfect size for everything from smoothies for one to entire family meals. And it’s the right height to fit comfortably under most kitchen cabinets. Made in the Usa, the Vitamix 5300 undergoes a meticulous 17-point inspection to ensure your blender performs for years to come.
By the time I was married, I had already owned more than a dozen blenders (Blender Queen, Breville, Cuisinart, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Oster, Vitamix, and Waring Commercial). I never owned–but have used–Blendtec machines.
Over the years and after thousands of blend cycles with the above mix of blenders, the Vitamix remains my top choice. My Vitamixes have been utterly dependable (going back to my 1974 Model 3600 that still works well); are backed by top customer service; are straightforward to use; and produce the best product, be it the smoothest of smoothies, cold and hot soups, chunky dips, nut butters, or perfectly pureed sauces that pass the sieve test.
I use my 5300 every day, and it never fails to impress, especially in an age of cheaply made, poorly performing appliances.
I’ve had my Vitamix for a couple of months and used it several times. The two soup recipes I have made were both delicious, and I like knowing what is and ISN’T in them. I also made the cookie recipe named after a famous store that needs the rolled oats to be blended.
Everything I have done with it has been simple and flawless, and cleaning it is as easy as it could possibly be. Mine is a refurbished one, and it looks perfect and works perfectly. I got the black one, and the front panel looks like stainless steel, so it coordinates nicely with the other kitchen items.
I really couldn’t be happier with the Vitamix, the savings for buying a refurbished one, and the ordering-delivery process. 5 stars and and thumbs up from me!.

for the sake of saving you a bunch of reading, i listed short pros and cons, you can read the more detailed review below pros: large pitcher blade results in faster and smoother blending very powerful motor(comparable to a vitamix e310) relatively durable motor base and pitcher/cups buttons are very responsive tamper saves you a lot of trouble decent value smooth buttons and timer makes it very easy to clean off.
cons: Very loud- if you have picky neighbors/roommates this is not what you want to turn on for a 6:00 breakfast. lid on pitcher can be difficult to take off at times. the vent underneath turns up a windstorm- you may want to keep away from paper or light objects so they arent blown away easily smudged- not a big thing but if you want to keep it spotless you will have to wipe down the buttons after each use Just picked up the 56 oz and 32 oz cup combo from target, for $150 bucks.
initially I was trying to save for a vitamix, but got a bit impatient and decided to bite the bullet(pun not intended) and pick this big boy up. the minute i opened the box i immediately wanted to try it out.
I stuffed some frozen fruit and yogurt into the 32 oz blender cup, and made a strawberry banana smoothie. I noticed that if the fruit chunks are large and there isnt a lot of liquid, the blades will have a hard time catching the fruit and actually making the smoothie.
after correcting this by adding some oat milk, it finally blended up. the consistency was an instant upgrade from my old black and Decker blender, no fruit chunks, very fine consistency, and remained thick and smooth.
it probably took about a minute on medium speed to finish. i didnt even need to go full power! Using the 56 z pitcher, i decided to make some peanut butter, i simply threw a thing of planters peanut in, and started it off on low, eventually medium(didnt need to go to high very much) i didnt even need to use the tamper a lot like you see people do with their blenders.
the result was very smooth, and better than most you can buy at the store. it took about 2. 5 minutes to get to the right consistency. overall I think this is a vitamix alternative you should consider, especially when it comes to the comparable power and smooth results.
I was baffled for a moment when I got my Nutribullet Smart Touch Blender Combo out of the box. There were no buttons and nowhere I could see where capacitive touch might work, how was I to blend things? Turns out it was my fault as the outlet was tripped, after resetting the blender came on with a gorgeous LED display showing all the options I had at my disposal.
I know what you’re thinking: “Its a blender, push the button and watch the contents liquify…. so what?”. That’s like saying a space ship is just a car that flies, you’re missing the entire point! In past blenders when trying to make a smoothie or shake some of the ice would eventually wedge under the blade and jam up the works requiring you to poke and prod to get things moving again.
I have yet to encounter this same issue with Nutribullet and we’ve done probably three dozen smoothies and half as many milkshakes so far (I have a big family). The powerful 1500 watt motor just chews up anything you put inside, no questions or problems.
I also found the included blender cups super cool! You put your ingredients inside and use the blender top then just blend right in your personal cup. When its done and ready to drink you can even use a travel top to take your drink on the go.
If you make a pitcher of your chosen drink you’ll be impressed at the large 64oz capacity, it makes enough to share with everyone no matter how big your family. Smart Touch recipes allow you to select what you’re planning to blend and begin a timed blend with the push of a button.
I’ve not used the Soup or Puree option but the frozen drink setting is a wonder! There are also standard low, med, high, and pulse settings if you preferred the old fashioned way of blending too. For cleanup its standard wipe down the base, cups are top rack of dishwasher safe, and I’ve been putting the pitcher in the bottom rack.
Its nothing new there but that’s a good thing! Overall this is a great blender! While its easy to write off a blender as a “seen one, you’ve seen them all” I would caution and praise the power this one brings.
I’ve literally yet to see it lock up and every other blender I’ve owned for 20 years has jammed at least once by this point. Travel blender cups are brilliant and I am shocked I’ve not encountered something like this before, they’re great (other than my kids fighting over who gets to drink out of them….
I need to see if I can buy extras). If you’re in the market for a blender and you want to maintain a modern kitchen aesthetic I would encourage you to look into the Nutribullet Smart Touch Blender.
The NutriBullet® Smart Touch Blender™ is actually a suite of blending tools. The heavy base contains a powerful 1500W motor with intuitive controls. There is a 64 oz blending pitcher, their 32 oz cup (the actual “bullet” of the NutriBullet® system), a smaller 20 oz travel cup, two lids (for the two cups), and s separate blending base for the cups.
The blending mechanisms are metallic and solid and the locking mechanisms are tight and secure. The foot design on the base is simple and very effective in preventing movement – there are two textured feet and two feet that are more like suction cups (see picture).
The larger blending pitcher allows for safe processing of hot foods (like soups) with a lid that locks in place with a very strong seal around the perimeter – and the blender will not operate without the lid secured on the pitcher.
A very welcome inclusion here is a tamping rod that allows you to mix and press items through the top of the blending pitcher. The base for the blender recognizes whether you have the larger pitcher attached or one of the cups and presents you with options on the display that are suitable for each attachment.
The motor is strong enough to handle every task I threw at the blender – purees, frozen drinks, smoothies (all standard blender tasks). The only thing negative that I have to say about the blender is that the blending attachments don’t brake after a pulse – the blender speed just tapers off (when pulsing, I would prefer that the blades come to a stop more quickly – maybe just a personal preference).
Comes with a recipe guide that is simple but effective – mostly introduces the features of the NutriBullet® by way of examples of recipes that are immediately recognizable. This is a totally solid blender system.
Ninja Total Crushing Blades give you perfectly crushed ice for your smoothies and frozen drinks. The 72 oz. pitcher is great for making large batches for the whole family. Auto-iQ Technology provides preset programs that do the work for you, no guesswork required.
The Ascent Series A3500 from Vitamix offers intelligent design inside and out. This powerful machine has five program settings that will automatically detect the size of your container, so that foods are blended perfectly according to volume and recipe.
With its built-in programmable timer, you have the flexibility to set the time and speed and the A3500 counts down and stops when blending is complete. Self-Detect containers allow you to build a customized blending system that fits your needs (available in 20 ounce and 8 ounce sizes.
) Containers from the G-series, C-series and S-series are not compatible with the Ascent Series machines.
I received the Vitamix A3500 blender yesterday within 2 days. Set up was very easy without reading the instruction manual and quickly made a berry smoothie. It blended well, although there were very few tiny black berry seeds that didn’t blend completely, but it is 100 times better than my old Ninja blender.
The noise level is not that loud. The blender looks very nice and sleek on my countertop. I love the black stainless steel color. It’s a beautiful new color Vitamix has introduced. It took me 20 years to finally look into purchasing a Vitamix blender as it is an expensive blender and another 3 years to research and compare with other blenders! Overthinking was stressing me out and finally I decided to purchase this blender as life is too short! When this blender was delivered, I was surprised it came in a plain light brown box with a big black Vitamix logo instead of a nice looking fancy box that I would have kept incase I moved and needed to store my Vitamix in it.
Also, I find the 64 OZ container too big as we are only 2 people in the household and also it cannot fit it under my countertop over the blender unit. I wish there was a choice to select the type of blender for the basic package during the time of purchase as buying an additional smaller blender is also too costly.
Hence, giving it 4 stars for now. I will provide more reviews in the near future and hopefully my rating will go up.

I bought the blender in October 2019. We are using the blender every day for our smoothies. I use the large 2. 1l jug so I can make the smoothies to everyone in one go. The quality of the smoothies are ok even though it’s not completely smooth, there are small pieces of pulp in the smoothie.
I started to make the smoothie one the cup instead of the jug to make the texture more creamy and smooth it worked very well for about a month and then the Pro-Extractor Blades broke down. So I was back to using the large jug.
Now the jug have become so damaged that about half a cup of liquid is leaking from the jug when I use it. The jug has been sold out for a while The motor works like a dream, but the quality of 2. 1l jug and the Pro-Extractor blades are so bad that I don’t recommend buying it.
This is not cheap blender, so I expect a better quality.

Ended up opting for this blender instead of the vitamix when it was first released just over a year ago. It’s been replaced twice now as it’s completely died. The appliance doesn’t get much use maybe makes smoothies twice a week if that.
Easy process for replacement it goes to a local repair centre which is a 30 minute drive from me and takes roughly 3-4 weeks for replacement. However I just find it’s way toooo noisy and rickety like incredibly loud for what it is.
The soup function never works it always stops working if I try to blend pumpkin soup in this machine. Doesn’t do a great job and breaking down nuts as displayed as one of its great features. I find the cleaning function blends my smoothies better than normal smoothie settings in the smoothie cup.
I don’t get much use out of the air suction to keep juices fresher. Overall I just don’t see it’s value I paid $900. 00 at the time I can see it’s a little cheaper now however less years in warranty I received 10 years and now it looks to be 7 years on offer.
I think I’ll sell this unit and go back to a vitamix which has always been my old faithful for me in the past. I really thought to try something else this time around when upgrading and the additional features sounded really great on this machine but yeah just not sold biggest negative is how loud this machine is.
I have used Breville’s The Q every single day for about six weeks now to blend up the most perfect green smoothies every morning. There is no fibrous green that this thing can’t tackle! And fruits don’t have to be cut up really small either.
Just throw everything in the blender, press one button, and about a minute later, you have a beautiful, tasty green smoothie to start your day out right. And the thing literally cleans itself! Just rinse, add a few cups of soapy water, put it back on the motor, and press Clean, and another minute later, your pitcher is clean, ready to be rinsed, and simply air dried.
I’ve seen demos of folks touting the benefits of the Vitamix while literally having to remove the pitcher from the motor and shake everything up to get things moving inside the blender. The Q doesn’t have that problem.
Like I said, the push of one button, and everything comes out perfectly. I’m looking forward to learning how to make fresh soups and other things as well! (I do wish it had come with a little sample recipe book.
That would’ve been helpful. ) Anyway, I researched alot of blenders for about a month before deciding on this one. I definitely made the right choice. This is the best purchase I have made in a very long time, and I recommend it to everyone!.

Personal blender cup Make refreshing drinks to take to the gym with the personal blender cup. It has its own blade unit, which means you can blend in the cup without having to use the main jug. Simply pop on the airtight lid, slip the cup in your bag and you’re ready to go.
Had another well known make for maybe 15 years. This was a great machine but extremely noisy, starting to leak, and really past it’s best. I wanted to try vacuum technology with a machine that was quiet but would last or guaranteed to last but could do everything and more than last as technology had moved on.
Over the last 5 years I have purchased Sage Appliances, from their highest end coffee machine to pressure cooker, grill, and their guarantee and support is better than any company I have encountered.
I looked at this blender in the Sage lineup and it was the easiest decision to make because to buy the old brand or other top of the range equivalent machine I needed to spend multiple times the amount of money and need far more kitchen top space.
It required an additional enclosing unit and a vacuum type station that plugged in and sat uncomfortably to the side and looked more prototype like, it was uncomfortably on the eye. Admittedly, it wasn’t really a home kitchen top appliance, but more a commercial kitchen.
Super Q has lived up to expectations and everything you read about it, it does. The additional vacuum unit is brilliantly easy and the very best thing I love is you fill the hub, press button and walk away! No standing with a cloth over the top of the jug, just in case and explosion of liquid occurs, and this is double downed if you also use vacuum, particularly with hot produce.
5 stars well earned for machine, service and price.
Very pleased with recent Super Q purchase Mainly used for soups, smoothies and dips. Very simple to use with very handy function options. Mainly use the soup function and it is brilliant, soup is really silky and smooth (I use the super vac) and is warmed to the perfect temperature.
Noise – I’m not sure there is such a thing as a quiet blender! Doesn’t seem any noisier than other blenders or food processers I’ve used. Easy to clean – soups just slide out of the jug with little scraping required and minimal waste, set the clean function and then it is pretty much spotless Lid – reviews I read mentioned difficulty getting the lid off, I struggled a little at first but it was my error, once I started to ensure the pressure inside was released and the clips were fully released the lid is relatively easy to remove Build quality is fantastic, it has a ‘substantial’ feel with no flimsy plastic parts (not the most important thing but I like the way it looks) Super vac – I was hesitant to buy this at first thinking it would be a gimmick.
Certainly for soups and smoothies it makes a HUGE difference, I’ve made the same soup without using the super vac and it had a significant amount of air and bubbles in. Using the super vac I’d go as far as saying it makes some of the smoothest soups I’ve ever had.
Overall I’m very very pleased with the Super Q and would highly recommend, this isn’t my only sage product and I’m very impressed with the quality and ease of use of their products.
Hi, I dont usually write reviews, but for the benefit of people looking for a good blender in this market with so many products it can be baffling. This Sage blender is solid, grinds, blends everything to perfection.
I know some people have complained about removing the lid – There is a finger ring handle on the lid which helps you remove it easily with a bit of pressure, I dont see this as an issue So I have used the Nutri Ninja blender and can say hands down that this is a much superior product compared to the nutrininja.
I have also used the Vitamix and can say the SAGE is on par with the Vitamix. And the price point of this blender is wonderful. TheVitamix can be expensive for what you actually get. The Nutri ninja retaining for 129£ is fine but not the best.
ONe thing i found in the SAGE Was at 2400W, the noise level was much lesser than the nutri ninja which had 1500W. With a 7 year waranty, what could go wrong. I feel this is a massively under rated blender which does not appear in many of the google searches 0 DONT KNOW WHY !.
