20 Best Binoculars For Long Distance And Night Vision (2023 Updated)

I use this product to see who might be on my property at night. Works great and i have had these for about a year now. I just wish there was a mount to attach it to my military helmet. If anybody has any idea please post it.

It does exactly what it says. Rated for 165yds or so, but was able to see out 200+yds. Able to see things now, even in complete darkness. Definition & viewing is not perfect, but at the price range these are at, well worth the money.

It is everything i expected, with no real disappointments. If your needing descent night vision, at an affordable price, without a hefty price tag. Nightfox Defanately delivers!.

This is a ‘medium distance’ night vision. Even tho they say it is a ‘zoom’, it is, but the minimum magnification is 7x. You cannot use this up close. The definition is not great, reading signs at a distance is just ok.

Other than that, it is good.

I read up the reviews of the nightfox binoculars and decided to purchase a pair. Overall they are very clear out to 100 metres to look at small wildlife. Larger animals and landscapes could be seen out to 150 metres with the IR range setting.

Easy to use.

Extremely satisfied with this product. They can be held comfortably with one hand and the aesthetics are visually pleasing as well. There is no tint on the glass so you can see clearly out of them and the sight can be adjusted on both lenses for a clearer visual.

If you clicked on this product because your interest was piqued, but was unsure of what you were getting then fear not. your money will be well spent!.

I was in need of an inexpensive small binoculars for hunting. After looking at these and the low price, I gave them a try. These are exactly what I was looking for. The optics are very clear, the size fits my pocket perfectly and are easy to use.

I would recommend these for anyone who is looking for inexpensive binoculars.

I bought these for my wife so she could view the flora & fauna mingling in our backyard. My other binocs couldnt focus on that close of a distance. Sharpness, clarity and color rendition is quite good.

Very lightweight. If youre an active birder these may not fit your needs but for casual viewing you cant beat them for the money.

These are acceptable binoculars. They’re not trash like a lot you find these days but they are limited in what you can look at. You cannot get clear views unless you look at something 20ft from you and beyond.

I can see down the street at max maybe 1/4 of a mile. I have been able to look at a passing plane which was flying at 2000ft and could easily see what airline it was for, but you cannot clearly see the windows and definitely not see the person sitting at that window.

Contrary to what some say, these are NOT astronomy binoculars by any means. Best you can get is seeing the moon with detail and getting a closer view of Orions belt, but you cannot see Jupiter clearly, its just brought a little closer than what the human eye can see.

You cannot see any planet colors or any of the moons, just that it appears closer. Some have said this does not have a tripod mount. Well I’ll put those naysayers in their place. There is a tripod adapter but it is hidden.

It is behind the front cap between the lenses. Where the two front lens covers are attached, that cap will unscrew and reveal the tripod adapter. So if you think it doesn’t have one, think again. I confirmed it today by screwing it off.

Otherwise these suffice for looking at the birds in the backyard and if you have any to look at, deer and other wildlife outside of the city confines. The view may not be right up close enough to look up their nose, but you can still see them and admire them.

Again as previously mentioned, these are not astronomy binoculars, so if that’s what you want, find something else which you will probably have to pay more than $40 for, or just get a decent telescope so you can see more detail of the moon and planets that might be up for the evening or night.

Overall, I am happy with these binoculars. I purchased the binoulars for speed of set-up/take down. If my time is limited or it is quite cold outside, I can set-up the binoculars and tripod much faster than my telescope.

No disappointment on that account. My experience observing is mixed. The field of view encompasses the whole disc of the moon. That is great for learning the lunar geography and place names. Viewing the Orion nebulae thrilled me – what a sight.

Viewing Jupiter while it was in opposition was a bit of a let down. The white dot did turn into a larger tan/orange orb but the bands were not distinct and could have been my imagination. If I did see nearby Saturn, it was not identifiable as such.

Of course, the binoculars need a tripod. I use a “video tripod” that extends to 72″ that I purchased at a camera store. Its easy to adjust the height based on whether I am observing just above the horizon or the zenith.

I wish Orion telescopes offered a finder scope for these binoculars. I could not locate the Owl nebulae below the cup of the Big Dipper because I could not reliably identify Merak. I purchased a rifle sight that came with a binocular attachment, but the attachment is meant for a larger diameter center rail than is on the 20×80 binoculars.

Whether I would recommend these to a friend depends on how/why they want to use the binoculars – portability and quick set-up – yes. Instead of a telescope with changeable eye pieces – no.

I received these binoculars today and immediately went to use them. I quickly found that the left side was continually blurred. Upon investigation I found that the left Objective lens was partially unscrewed and almost ready to fall out.

Bad Orion QA!! Glad I caught it in time. The next thing I noticed was that the set of instructions packed with the binocular was NOT for these specific binoculars, but rather for the more expensive “GiantView” binoculars which have individually focused oculars.

This confused me for a little bit as I tried to focus the left ocular lens, but quickly realized that this binocular has a standard right ocular diopter adjustment and a center focus. Once I got past that unnecessary confusion caused by the wrong instructions (again, bad QA!!), they were easily and quickly mounted to my tripod and balanced.

I did find that the binoculars can readily rotate radially around the tripod adapter horizontal axis and easily get knocked out of alignment. Not a big issue, but a bit of a minor pain. More importantly, if you are using these for terrestrial viewing, be aware that the center focus is VERY touchy and it is easily de-focused by finger movement.

Given the magnification and size of the objective, this is a fairly “fast” lens and therefore has a pretty limited depth of field. In looking at the stand of trees behind my house, at a front distance of about 200ft and a stand depth of about 50-100 ft.

, I could not find a focus point that brought both the front and rear rows of trees into sharp focus simultaneously. This could be a problem in certain terrestrial applications. It did give me a great view of an owl that was hanging out in one of the trees, though.

But I did not buy these for that purpose. As night fell, I immediately took the tripod with the mounted binoculars out for a spin. That went well. Setting the center focus for infinity, I quickly got the diopter adjustment set and proceeded to look at the moon and some star clusters.

They were quite bright and of excellent clarity with a wee bit of chroma. I couldn’t see Andromeda yet, as it was still too low on the horizon and buried in the light pollution. I will likely update this review as I use the binoculars more and search out additional objects.

I was drawn to the incredible price-point for these large-aperture binos, but alas it was too good to be true. The cheap mechanical construction fails to hold the two monoculars in proper alignment, so the views are “cross-eyed.

” If that one issue were fixed, these would be a great deal.

First of all I’m a Nikon guy but when it comes to distant objects and lenses I’ve got to admit that Canon leads the way. So this is my third pair of Canon binos in the last 20 or so years. The first two were 10×30 IS and they were great.

The only complaint is the sticky rubber coating. I hope there have been changes and my new pair of binos escapes this problem in the coming years. This pair felt cheaper than my first two. ,The focus wheel is too easy to turn but not to the point that I felt it needed to be returned.

The only big difference between my new binos and the old is the price. I recommend going with the 10×30 IS and saving hundreds of dollars. Image Stabilization is awesome, as a passenger in a car you can easily scan the highway.

Love the image stabilized binoculars. This is my second pair. Bought Canons’ 10×32 many years ago and love them. Wanted something with a bit more power. They are pricey, but if you want to see fine detail while bird watching IS binocular’s are the only way to go.

I can’t compare them to any other brands, but I am a Canon guy. Also have two Canon cameras. Must say, Canon could do better with the soft feel coating on the housing. Like many other people have commented, the coating gets sticky and needs to be removed.

At any rate I bought a second pair and I love them. I will give my 10×32 to my wife to use when we go birding.

Just received the Celestron UpClose G2 7 X 35 Binoculars. I like to say that these binoculars which I am going to use for Astronomy or Terrestrial Observing will be great. They are very easy to hold and they are not as heavy which makes holding them for long periods nice.

The Binoculars have a very handy carry bag and the Binoculars are great in the carry bag. The carry bag is great it will make storing the Binoculars in an excellent manner. The Carry bag will keep out the dust plus the Lens caps are great too it will keep the objective lenses clean and no dust will get on the Objective Lenses.

It also has a cleaning cloth which is great and an Instruction manual which is very handy. I love these Binoculars and I am glad I bought them from High Point Scientific.

I have bought the Celestron 7 X 35 UpClose G2 Binoculars – 71250 and I like it very much tonight was the first time I have seen the Moon and it was really nice to see it. I used these Binoculars and when I have seen the Moon I was steady, no shaking and the image wasn’t jumpy.

during the day I have seen little birds, a Chimney and trees. I have other Celestron Binoculars but these are my favorite Binoculars. When I have seen the Moon I feel that I can touch the moon and also I have seen Stars and star Constellations.

Both the Moon and Stars I feel that I am really upclose and I can really touch the Moon and Stars and Star Constellations. I am really very happy I have bought these Binoculars from High Point Scientific and I am going to buy another pair.

I ordered these binoculars following great experience with some other Celestron Products such as the Skymaster. I knew the equipment would be well made with decent optics. Upon receiving the set, I was absolutely stunned by the clarity provided by this budget-priced binocular for both my bird-watching and star-gazing.

I now intend to order a second pair to have one at home and another for my travels. B&H fulfilled my order promptly and efficiently; I will be ordering my second unit from B&H, for sure.

Great for your 8 year old explorer. Easy to use, clear lense, light weight. Another benefit is cost-very low for quality of lenses and if the explorer has an accident with the binoculars the $ lose is minimized.

Received the binoculars as a gift. Perfect for birdwatching; nice sized for smaller hands and light weight as well. No color distortion. I’ll enjoy this gift for years!

Kind of an odd mix of perceptions on the ATN BonoX-HD. It’s good it for night vision mode and for it’s unique features (digital photo & video, wii-fi, rangefinder, etc. ). These are digital day/night binoculars so you look at a screen instead of through the lenses.

That’s not bad except the screen quality isn’t the greatest in day mode. If you have a decent pair of regular binoculars, these can be a cool product for everything else. Good: – Night vision works pretty well for the price – B&W night vision option.

I tend to prefer that vs. standard green night vision – Ability to take photo’s and wi-fi link are cool – Dynamic zoom (usable images 4x to around 8x) Bad: – Eats batteries quidkly in night vision mode.

Almost a requirement to get the ATN extended life battery kit – The viewing screen seems archaic and has poor color rendering in day mode. Colors looks a washed out in day mode regardless of setting.

At this price it would not be unreasonable to expect an OLED or at least better display – Zoom is cool but it’s digital zoom. Image starts to pixelate beyond about 8x. Almost unusable above 12x zoom due to pixelation.

Unless you have an exceptionally steady hand, you need a tripod for zoom above 8x. – As a digital product, wish it had image stabilization for zoomapproaching 8x Suggestions – Use a tripod for higher zoom – Get the ATN extended life battery (USB rechargeable) or equivalent Suggestions for ATN – Improve the display screen – Integrate image stabilization – Integrate a removable lithium ion battery.

At a little over $400 you get a decent pair of digital binoculars, night capability, a digital compass, GPS tagging, WiFi attached mobile apps, rangefinding and image and video recording. Thats pretty awesome.

Pet Peeves: Batteries. I know almost all electronic makers do it, but the batteries that come in the box are off-brand. Mine lasted for about two hours of light use before they were completely dead. Non-slip surfaces.

The rubberized parts of the BinoX are great for gripping and protecting against knocks and bumps. But they are magnets for lint, dust and dog hair. A bit annoying at times. Cables. There should be at least a micro USB cable included.

A micro HDMI cable would also be a nice. Nice Touches: Lens covers. Most optics, including high-grade options, come packaged with cheap lens covers that you replace with an aftermarket solution within the first week.

ATN did a nice job designing functional and sturdy covers that work. Neck strap. Similar to the lens covers, even high priced binoculars can come with a thin, uncomfortable neck strap. ATN includes a nice padded strap that is well made.

User Menu. Well designed and easy to use.

It’s pretty good. The included attachments are extremely useful and it’s nice that it runs off the cord so that you don’t have to wait for a low battery to charge. The bag is nice and with everything together it doesn’t take up much space.

The binoculars are great. I purchased them as a gift for my son. His job is on security. He loved them and says their great.

This product is not worth the money at all. It does not work well! Suction power is minimal! Do NOT waste your money

Dear dailysale, I have tried to use it on day-time only. Have not yet used it on night-time. So, I could not to tell you about it. Only one thing I need to inform you about this item: it’s not really clear to see (have adjusted the lenses as the user guide), due to the material of this product.

It needs was improved. Some information send to you.

It did take awhile to get to me, longer then the other items but whose complaining. So far to date, everything I’ve bought from you guys was great. Although right now I’m starting to run short on cash and I can’t afford to have Paypal paying, (I owe them a small forturne) I still check out the items everyday and if I find something I really need, I’ll get it.

I received the wrong kind of Binoculars. You sent me Regular Binoculars and since then I have sent them back. I would like my night vision Binoculars sent to me as soon as you receive the ones i sent back.

Does not see good at night just during the day lucky if you see anything but dark at night

I am now able to see the wildlife such as deer, and swimmers, Jet ski’s, boats and water parachutes behind my Lake House like never before. These Perrini High Definition Binoculars bring in those far away things to seem as if they are right in front of you.

The view is like a truly Crisp & Clear HIGH DEFINITION picture of what I am looking at and I don’t get tired of holding them up because they only weigh 2 pounds, 3. 7 ounces. They feel Big and Powerful in my hands and they come with an easy to turn dial that controls the magnification and I don’t get tired of holding them up because they are so lightweight which helps me enjoy the view a whole lot longer.

I highly recommend these Binoculars because they provide a HIGH DEFINITION picture, are lightweight to hold up and come at a low cost.

Somtimes you just get what yopay for. Appears to be made from cheap plastic with below average quality of construction. With that said the lenses are pretty Good for the price. If this is all you can afford then I might work.

Otherwise spend a bit more on a higher quality model.

At first, these binoculars seemed great. Now whenever I look through them, I see a double image of the scenery. This is terrible. There are no instructions on how to adjust the sights, or anything. I want a refund of my money!.

I was looking for a decent pair of inexpensive binoculars and these do the trick. They have more magnification than I need, but I can put them on a tripod (take off the button where the front lens caps attach).

You can use them for astronomy since they have the 20 magnification and are nice and bright. Again, not really stable, but they can be put on a tripod. I would say they are much better for nature than handheld astronomy, but you can do both.

I’m happy they seem properly aligned for this price.

I use them at night my security job. The low light capabilities is phenomenal. I couldn’t get them to focus at first, then I read the instructions. Best pair of binoculars I’ve ever owned. I’ve had older high end optics and these are better.

This product is how I imagined it to be when it arrived. Robust, very nice clarity, easy to use, good magnification. Would recommend for bush walking, hunting, camping etc. Overall I am completely satisfied with these binoculars.

Eyepiece cups tend to loosen up, not sure if it is only my unit or a general issue. Chromatic aberration is noticeable under bright sunlight, but bearable. Usable without a tripod for short periods, but heavy and not comfortable to hold in hands for too long.

The supplied tripod mount seems shaky and touching the binoculars while on the tripod produces much shake. Important: the minimal interpupillary distance of these binoculars is 60 mm and this is too large for some people.

Check this before buying.

IšverstiShow in original languageIn my search for the perfect binoculars I comparred multiple and narrowed it down to the diamondback hd, prostaff 7s and these monarch 5. The vortex was an easy no, I originally purchased the 7s because of the price, and honestly they are also amazing.

However they were too long for my bino harness so I returned them (thank you cabelas) and upgraded to the monarch 5. And I have to say wow. In the store it’s hard to tell the difference, but out in the mountains glassing for deer, the clarity, crisp sharp images, amazing color rendition and contrast really start to shine.

The more compact size and way better objective lenses caps and even just the feel of the binoculars all come into play. So is it worth the price difference ? Absolutely. It’s like seeing the world in hd.

I only wish for maybe slightly more eye relief and an optical lenses cover that’s better fitted but I’m pulling hairs to even say any of those are negative.

IšverstiShow in original languageNikon recently gave in to anti-hunting pressure and discontinued their rifle-scope offering. They think they can continue to sell binos and rangefinders to hunters without backlash from the antis.

I won’t be buying Nikon anymore – there are plenty of other manufacturers who have not buckled – we should show them our support. Cabelas and bass pro should end their relationship with Nikon.

Nice and compact and lightweight. Good clear image however it does degrade a bit when on maximum zoom. It goes a bit dimmer and needs a slight re-focus. Still good enough to use to identify something though.

Obviously also a bit wobbly on maximum zoom. Easy to change the zoom level while looking through them. I am using the 12x-16x the most which is much better than most binoculars you can buy. Would recommend.

I BOUGHT A 20 X PAIR OF BINOCULARS BUT I SENT THEM BACK AS THEY WERE FAR TOO BIG AND HEAVY. THE NIKON PAIR ARE AN EXCELLENT COMPROMISE AS THEY ARE POWERFUL AND COMPACT. AS A RESULT THEY CAN BE CARRIED EASILY AND WILL BE USED REGULARLY.

THE LARGE PAIR I SENT BACK WERE BETTER QUALITY BUT I WOULD RARELY OF USED THEM.

Theses are pretty good binoculars for the price. They are reasonably compact, and are 6 to 7 oz. lighter than my 10×42 Meade and 10×50 Minolta binos. They are fairly bright, and have a short focus adjustment.

The optics quality overall is not as good as the Meades or Minoltas, but they cost more than twice what these do. I would say it is a good bino for birding and most field work. I would not use them for something like elk or sheep hunting.

I bought these for football games. The binoculars are great for that. 8x seems about perfect for my nosebleed seats. After the first game I took the binoculars to I noticed the belt loop on the case had tore out.

I returned them to Dick’s with no issues (yay Dick’s). The first time I got into the car with the second binoculars, the loop on the case tore out. This time the neoprene case fabric ripped instead of belt loop fabric.

So, there’s some variety in how the case fails. Fortunately, these binoculars are small enough to fit in my pocket. I don’t think there’s any point in returning them again for a third case.

Bought these on sale at Field and Stream hoping for a bargain. Absolutely the worst pair of binos I’ve ever looked through. No matter how it’s adjusted, can not see anything but double vision. Poor focus, eye relief, and clarity.

I thought it might be my vision so I let multiple others look through and they had the same review. Waste of money, do not buy.

These are good value, despite the price. Very good optical quality and extremely light weight, although less sturdy feeling than you might guess. Not poor in terms of build, but some compromise is required in terms of materials for light weight and small size.

These glasses are that small that some with large hands may find them difficult to handle. I have found my own way of holding them so that I can operate the focus easily whilst maintaining eye alignment, which is more difficult with lenses this small, and without unintentionally adjusting the distance between eyepieces.

I am using these for closer views of artists and concerts and with the supplied neck lanyard and small wallet/pouch carrying case, they are ideal. Sharpness, colour rendition and contrast are all as you would expect in a quality product from Nikon.

Night Owls very from unit to unit. Focus seems to be the main issue and many units cannot focus from close end to stars or always in between. The first thing you should do when you get a pair (after dark) is go outside and see if you can vary the focus and cover from close to stars.

Only 1 out of 2 from factory can do this. If the unit fails you should get it replaced. If the unit passes you are good to go. But with one very important warning. These are not PVS7s and will not withstand ever being dropped.

If you drop them the focus is toast and cannot be repaired. Many of the units online seem to be factory returns and have focus issues. If you get a unit and is clear. take good care of it and do not drop or jar it and be well worth the investment.

They perform about 65% as well as a PVS7 Gen3. If you need a unit that can withstand bumps and jars. Save up your money and get PVS7s built to with stand military abuse handling. If you can treat these with TLC, they are worth the savings for the caution.

These binoculars have two viewing intensifier tubes. They pick viewing in low light conditions. Even if the IR Light is not on.

Delivered in non working condition. Called Sportsmans guide for a return. Was told had to be returned to the manufacturer. After numerous phone calls and messages to the Manufacturer to get a replacement or refund for a defective unit, still have not heard from anyone.

Clearly they do not stand by their product and just steal your money.
