A zero turn mower is a lawn mower that has a turning radius of zero. This means that the mower can pivot on its back wheels, making it much easier to maneuver than a traditional lawn mower. Zero turn mowers are often used by professional landscapers and lawn care professionals, but they can also be used for home lawn care.

Good: cuts fast. Easily maneuvers on flat ground. Bad: leaves a stripe down one side at times, usually in thicker or taller grass. Oil leaks. Seat slides at times. I’ve come to adjust myself while mowing so I don’t have any real issues other than the oil leak and I’m hoping maybe sharper blades will help with the stripe problem but reading other reviews I’m not going to hold my breath.
I’ve got about 60 hours in on 3 years in Wisconsin. I’ve used many mowers in my life and I probably won’t buy an ariens again. I’ll use it until it dies but will not be back for another. Sucks because they are made in Wisconsin but seems like half of them have issues.
I think it’s a wash between the Kawasaki and Kohler engines personally. I have the Kawasaki and it works good.
I always envied my neighbors mowing with a zero turn. 18 months ago for Christmas we got one. I have loved it from the start to this day. Like many of the people here, I did some research on zero turns and this one is the best bang for your buck.
I mow two acres in fast growing Florida. My new purchase is a head set hearing protection with radio insert. With this baby mowing is not a chore but my own zen moment. I have not hit anything to date thus have no problems with it and give it the loving attention it deserves.
After getting it home I had to make some minor adjustments and retighten some fasteners and put the proper air pressure in all four tires as per manufacture’s recommendations. 1st. cut found the emblem ( Ariens ) from the rear of the machine in the grass, it fell off and would not stick back on? Finished cutting the rest of the lawn with no issues but I noticed it left deep tire depressions in the entire lawn even though it hasn’t rained in several days and the temperatures have been the middle 90’s? Will check with customer service to see if lowering the tire air pressure would help resolve this issue or maybe larger tires.
The only other issue I have is there is a paint chip on the left side of the frame that needs to be touched up. Over all the cut was great, has plenty of power and is very well built! Great Job Ariens!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI bought this about 3 months ago and mowing has never been so fun. This replaced my John Deere L118 which apparently lasted about 5 years past its anticipated life (and I was NOT good to it – only serviced twice).
I hope this one holds up as well. I have about 2 acres to mow, mostly level with some gradual slopes. It took a while to get used to the dual transmissions and there are definitely sections where I have torn up the turf on the zero turn, but I’ve managed to find a way to make the turn and not do that when both wheels have traction.
It used to take me a couple hours and one stop for a refill with the John Deere. Now I do it all in about 50 minutes and no refills needed! My lawn looks fabulous. Now the stuff I don’t like so much – yes, it will tear up the turf if you aren’t careful, but I also have difficulty pulling the handles in to the same position.
Meaning, the right one takes more effort to get to the same place as the left. And if they’re not in the same relative position they don’t respond the same. I don’t like having to disengage the parking brake and then pull in the handles, because invariably I will move forward or backward a smidge while they’re being pulled in.
I’m on the fence about them not returning to a relative neutral position when no force is exerted on them (if you let go, some mowers will disengage the propulsion but not these). That comes in handy for me because I need to move tree branches out of the way sometimes.
Overall I love my new mower and I hope to continue loving it for another decade!.
IšverstiShow in original languageWe just bought this new mower and I have mixed feelings, mostly good but have some problems with this one that may be fixed. It is a large and powerful mower, but the drivers pushed the mower in gear for about 45 yards, not knowing how much easier it would have been to push with the bypass linkage engaged.
I can only wonder how much damage this caused. The engine ran well but sound a bit off while operating it. The biggest problem I have is where the levers are located. I have ridden many zero turn mowers but none have had the steering control levers so far back on the machine.
I have adjust the levers and the seat and still I can’t go in full reverse without going into my midsection. It looks like at the base their is a bolt connecting the levers to the machine. Is there a way to move the levers forward on this bolt? I do like the knob tracking adjustment that evens out the levers while in full forward position.
Why isn’t there a fuel level indicator? I can’t recommend this product until the issues I have with it are resolved.

We bought a more expensive lawn mower because we thought it would be tougher & more maintenance free. While it works well, we’ve had issues. After 5 or so hours on the meter, one of the brackets on the front of the deck came loose & fell down.
It started gouging lines in the grass. By the time we noticed what had happened, the straight bracket was bent in a U shape. But worse, it actually bent the thick metal bracket welded to the deck. I was able to straighten the bracket in a vise, but couldn’t straighten the deck tab.
So I had to Jerry-rig a long bolt to hold it back in place. It works, kinda. Then not 2 working hours later, the deck was tilting & gouging another line in the grass. This time a side nut had fallen off & allowed the deck to drop.
I put a new nut on & then double nuted all four bolts. Haven’t had any more problems. For the price we paid, I would expect a trouble free experience, especially when the lawn mower was so new.
I bought the mower about 2 month ago and have about 25 hours on it. The cut is great and even. The mower pushes through thick fescue and thick bermuda without an issue. I’ve also mowed 3 to 4 foot tall grass and weeds with this.
Took 2 passes to get it down, and really didn’t have a hard time doing it. The Hydros are stout and feel solid. The kawi is fantastic, I upgraded the intake and installed a high mount off of a fx series to keep dust in the intake down.
I keep my blades sharp and this thing just trucks through. The tires are ehh, but I air mine down a little for better traction but ill upgrade those soon. Discharge, and suction are great out of the deck.
Its very sturdy, and very easy to raise with the foot control. The seat and overall ride is comfortable. It doesn’t have a high end suspension system but for the light amount of suspension it does have its still very comfortable.
I bought mine from a local Husky dealer that I think did great on set up (Lanier Outdoor). I feel for those who have had bad experiences with this mower because mine have genuinely been great. Time will tell how the components last, but hopefully they do! For the price you get some good commercial pieces without the commercial price.
Owned for five year now has shredded belts 6 times since I purchased. First at 4 hrs. Always repaired by great dealership under warranty. Now out of warranty and still with the same problem. Manufacture impossible to make claim with.
Should have replaced this lemon years ago. Worst purchase I have ever made (of anything) in 55 years. If you want to be angry every time you walk in to shed or garage then this is the product for you.
For me, I will never purchase anything with the Husqvarna name on it ever again. Absolute junk.
Go with a mower brand thats trusted by the pros. The Z142 zero-turn mower from Husqvarna offers compact power for homeowners looking to cruise through their lawn maintenance. Featuring a 42 in. stamped cutting deck, the Z142 is powered by an 17 HP Kohler engine that can handle your residential turf cutting.
Youll love the maneuverability of this mowing machine, and youll wonder why you didnt make the switch to a zero-turn mower sooner.
I’ve owned my mower for a couple months. I mowed my 1 acre property and it mowed like a charm. Loved everything about it. 2weeks later I started mowing and It took 3 days to finish because the large deck belt would not stay on.
It appeared to be WAY too big! Finally found a place to go buy a belt to replace the seemingly perfect just too big belt that was on it and the dealer was more concerned with why I didn’t purchase my mower thru him then helping me find the belt I needed.
I replace the belt and cut my grass for a 3rd time, the deck seemed to rattle a bit more than I thought it would but otherwise did a great job. The 4th time cutting my ONE acre property however proved to one again leave me struggling to finish the job.
Now I’m forced to load up my less then 5 hour old mower and haul it 4 hours in order to be serviced because I’ve of the transmissions keeps locking up. I’m very disappointed in my first zero turn purchase.
From the go, one valve cover leaked oil. The muffler guard was too small and if I stopped on the lawn THE EXHAUST WOULD KILL THE GRASS. I made a larger baffle I had to adjust the brakes as it was too hard to go into park.
I added a trailer hitch, hour meter and arm rests. I did not take it back to dealer due to the distance, but did the repairs myself (20 yrs mower repair business. ) Excellent mower but assembly workmanship not so good.
I bought this 2 weeks ago , seems to cut good but there is no Hr. meter or gas gage. in Manual it has service intervals in Hours used. but no meter. also you have to guess at how much gas is left. I put the mulching blade and cover on it but haven’t tried it yet.
when cutting leaves they don’t cut very fine. hopefully the mulcher is better. I did not know I was paying a new price for a discontinued model.

Summer is just too short to spend it outside sweating over lawn work. Toro’s 42 in. TimeCutter allows you to create both a beautiful lawn and still have plenty of time to host backyard pickup games, barbeques and more.
Even better, the mower’s compact design makes for easy storage. It’s also a snap to control your pace with Toro’s Smart Speed Technology. Pinpoint-quality cuts and zero-turn mowing are just two pro commercial contractor features that put Toro’s cutting-edge technology into the hands of homeowners.

The 54 inch cut Cub Cadet zero turn mower places many conveniences and performance in the users control. The Kohler engines is famous for it’s performance and is a major reason I chose this zero turn.
But also the cutting deck size and the blade arrangement make this mower work better than my old zero turn. I have a few acres to cut with some trees to circle around and fences to get up close to. The ZT1 handles this fine.
Additionally the tires are larger and frame a little larger than my old 20 horse 50 inch. I can cut with this mower at higher speed and tge ZT1 is almost as maneuverable. This may be due to the “swirl blades” and the four inch greater cutting width.
I have some rough areas to cut and done uneven ground. The larger tires on this model allow for a smoother cut over this terrain. Oh, the foot adjustable mower deck is nice. You raise and lower the deck with your right foot and leg, and dial up the curing height.
Works well! A few things as I compare this ZT1 mower against my older model, I found while maneuverable this mower is on the larger size. It will not go several places the 50 inch smaller frame mower would drive and cut right through.
Also, while safety glasses are a must on mowers, they really are absolutely needed at all times if the blades are engaged. This mower with these blades has great “lift”. Cut grass, gravel, sweet gum burs and so forth fly out very strongly from this mower! Much more than from my old 50 inch! A great mower and I am very happy with the power, performance, speed of mowing, and general operation.
Let me start by saying the ZT1-54 by Cub Cadet has been a beast since I purchased it. It’s fun to use while mowing our 6 acres of uneven pastures and farmhouse yard. So far, so good. As for Cub Cadet, their delivery and customer service could use some work.
I called two separate dealers, who both told me they couldn’t order this particular mower because they were out of stock at the factory. Wrong. There were 1500 units available to ship at the factory, so I ordered one direct.
Once ordered, I probably had to call the company’s 800-number 6-7 times to get any sort of updates, to finalize shipping, and to get them to authorize the use of the lift gate on the delivery truck. I wish I had a forklift to unload it, but sadly I don’t own a factory, so I don’t have a forklift in our garage.
I honestly wish I could post photos here. The mower came in a wood frame crate, not steel and not solid, just pieces of wood stapled and nailed together on a pallet. To make things worse, they stack them on top of each other.
These things weigh hundreds of pounds, so the frame was smashed, and the mower had some damage. Lastly, when I wrote a review on the Cub Cadet website, their internal staff reviewed it and cut half the post so they wouldn’t have a negative sounding review.
How about some honesty and transparency? Overall, I would just appreciate Cub Cadet owning up to this. Will they? I think we all know the answer to that question.
First test run was a little rough riding but once I let the tire pressure out to the recommended pressure it was much better. I had an orange zero turn made by a company that also makes chainsaws. Both 24hp but with this heavy duty deck design it handles thick grass much better and at a faster speed.
The old mower would take two passes at times no matter how slow I went. Wish it had a switch for the lights, why? Also an hour meter for oil changes would be good. The only thing else would maybe be flat free tires on the front, was an issue on old mower, we’ll see on the cub cadet.
Old zero reduced mowing tome from 5-6 to about 4-5 hrs depending on grass height. The cub cadet should be in 3-4 hr range. First test run is fairly thick, lot of rain and it’s handling it great. Turns are much smoother, one of the things I like was the hard rubberish handles vs.
the foam covered type on most the others. Foam doesn’t last long in the Texas sun. Thick grass doesn’t bog down or even kill the engine like the old mower would and like I said both are 24hp. Haven’t evaluated the fuel use, use to use 5 gallons on 3 acres.
Not quite done so not sure of total gallons on cub cadet. Headlights was another thing I liked because there are times in the Texas summer when that as close as you get to pleasant mowing weather.
You don t own just any property. This land is your masterpiece, your crowning jewel. You deserve a mower that can give it the respect it deserves. The TimeCutter 60 in. not only tackles the biggest lawns like a pro but handles like one, too.
With an impressive 60 in. cutting swath, you ll save precious time for what matters most to you. Quickly clear unexpected obstacles without having to stop with the foot assist deck lift. Spare your deck the damage from forgotten baseballs, fallen branches and other items with this handy feature.
And as a Toro owner, you ll have access to more than 3,000 servicing dealers across the U. S. and Canada ready to assist you. Count on it.
When doing the first oil change I broke the plastic piece inside the drain hose which was a problem getting out with needle nose pliers. The oil was still able to drain out but definitely obstructed the flow of oil draining from the engine.
For this reason I would forewarn anybody who changes the oil for the first be careful of how hard you pull on the black drain hose so as to avoid what happened to me. I honestly thought it was a great feature not needing any tools to do the oil change but I guess I was wrong.
The mower also has a hard time turning to the right almost like the right hydro pump is struggling to move the mower forward. I am looking online to see how to adjust this or to make sure there is not a problem with the hydro motor.
Overall I have used the mower to cut my 2. 5 acre property 4 times now and am happy with cut quality, but I sure wish the mower had a larger fuel tank as the three gallon tank I feel is undersized for a 60 inch mower.
I would like to thank you for reaching out to me and asking for my opinion and I hope it can help.
GOOD LUCK USING THE WARRANTY! I took delivery of this mower in June of 2020. I loved it and got through the mowing season without incident. In November I cleaned it and put in in my barn. Out it came in April and during the first use of the season the belt broke, Tractor Supply was nice enough to give me a new belt.
I installed it. Please note that I did not depend on the warranty to have this done by the service repair center. I installed the belt myself. All was well for several cuttings then the belt came off.
Upon inspection there was a missing bolt and the spindle was loose. I got a new bolt from tractor supply and tightened the other bolts. Replaced the belt AGAIN. In June the belt broke once again. When I removed the deck cover I observed all four bolts were missing and and the threaded holes were stripped and enlarged in an oval shape making them useless.
I brought the mower to an authorized repair shop. TORO DENIED THE CLAIM. At no time was there an accident involving the mower. It never hit anything as can be seen by observing the deck itself. Why there has always been a problem with the mower deck is unknown to me at this time.
But I can tell you for certain that there has been a problem with it from very early on in it’s time of use. I don’t know the experience that other owners of this unit have had, but I’m sure the people at Toro have some data of problems that others have experienced with the 60″ deck.
To say that this problem is not caused by a manufacturing issue is ridiculous. No one has told me what could have happened to have these belt problems. When I purchased the mower I was assured it had a three year warranty.
In less than one year I began having belt problems. The result of these problems is an unusable mower. I am incurring expenses every week having to have a service cut my grass. This has not been a good purchase experience.
Toro has denied the warranty claim. The “authorized” repair center has told me it will cost more than $900 to repair.
I just bought my Toro a few weeks ago. I have used it 3 times. I hate mowing but that is because my JD X300 w/42″ deck takes so long. The first time I mowed, I mowed half my property like I usually do and it took me 1 hour and 8 minutes.
It usually takes about 3-4 hours with the JD. The next time I mowed I mowed our entire lot and it took just a little over 3 hours. It usually takes 5-6 hours. I am an older man with some health issues and sitting on a mower for that length of time just wears me out.
Sometimes I did not know if I was going to be able to get off my mower. With my new Toro, I’m no longer tired like that. It is comfortable and does the work in half the time or less. I have a JD tractor with a 60″ mower deck but I prefer my Toro and talk about a beautiful cut.
It looks so neat and even as if someone laid a huge sheet of glass on top of my lawn. I recommend Toro Zero Turns to everyone. I love my new Toro Timecutter.

Step up to the ultimate all-around mowing experience with the Ultima Series from Cub Cadet. The ZT1 42 zero-turn mower features a 22 HP/725 cc Kohler 7000 twin-cylinder engine that delivers high-performance power for a consistent cut.
The 42 in. stamped deck is engineered for greater airflow to make sure clippings move through cleanly and efficiently for an even cut. A muscular, 2 in. x 2 in. tubular steel frame holds up against the toughest obstacles.
You’ll ride in elite comfort with a 20 in. H back seat with a durable advanced polymer seat suspension, adjustable lap bars with ergonomic hand grips, a rubber floor mat and ample leg room. An AGM battery provides reliable starting with a slower discharge so you won’t have to worry about it going dead during the offseason.
Ideal for mowing slight rolling hills and several obstacles up to 2 acres.
The Toro 60″ TITAN MAX Zero Turn Lawn Mower features a 60-inch, fabricated deck with a Kohler 7000 series engine and professional cannister air cleaner. This model features a step-through front end that saves times and effort when getting up to clear debris.
It also features a drop pin deck height adjustment to quickly and easily adjust cutting height. The heavy-duty rubber discharge chute allows you get even closer on edges without damaging the chute.
Comfort, reputation, reliability and a company that stands behind their products were my primary reasons for choosing the Titan. The seat is very comfortable, the mowing speed is great and Toro builds a quality machine.
As for the warranty is excellent and my dealership experience was much better than I could have ever expected. Since picking up the Titan, I have mowed our St. Augustine backyard a couple of times and our 4 acre bahia lot twice.
I felt the cut quality on the St. Augustine was a very good, clean cut. The bahia, comes out well, but takes a bit more effort if the grass hasn’t been mowed in several weeks. The mower doesn’t bog at all, but I do have to make a first pass at say, 5″ cut height, then back over it at 3.
5″ cut height in order to get my best cut. Overall, I am very happy with my choice to go with the Titan Max. The power is great, it’s a low maintenance mower, very heavy duty, comfortable and looks good.
If you are in the market for a great zero turn at a reasonable cost, you should consider the Titan Max.
Purchased the mower in March of 21. It had 24 hours on it and needed blades. The quality of steel used for them was low. When replacing them two of the blade bolts had seized in the spindle shafts. The spindle shaft are a bad design with no taper for the pulleys.
So when the factory put the blade on they ran the pulley nut down and stripped those threads as well. When I received the new spindle shafts I drilled holes in them for a spanner wrench so I wouldn’t have the same problems again.
And the blades I purchased are quieter then the factory ones. I mow about 4 acres. It was taking me about 2 1/2 with “old blades” the blades now take about 1 1/2. If anyone reads this be prepared for this.
The engineers dropped the ball on this. The rest of the mower is great. Strong engine and deck. Comfortable seat and controls.
Nobody knows your lawn like you. It’s a gorgeous slice of heaven, but few understand the physical toll it takes to maintain your private paradise. Engineered with the same DNA as our landscape contractor equipment, the 54″ TimeCutter gives you the professional performance, exceptional durability, and quality feel you’ve been waiting for.
Even better, you’ll enjoy a luxury ride over any terrain with Toro’s MyRIDE Suspension System. MyRIDE keeps you perched above the mower, shielding you from those bangs and bruises that can knock you off your feet and ruin your day’s plans.
And as a Toro owner, you’ll have access to more than 3,000 servicing dealers across the U. S. and Canada ready to assist you. Count on it.
IšverstiShow in original languageNew to the zero turn mowers. Starting it up and driving it on the trailer was a treat I wish I would’ve got a video of. Definitely worth a few chuckles. I kicked around making this purchase for a long time.
My girlfriend finally helped me pull the trigger. We have 2 acres that I’ve turned into an orchard so with your conventional rider it was taking quite some time. So first time out little hesitant on what my capabilities would be.
Backing up turns out to be really tricky for me haven’t put enough hours on it. maybe have an hour and a half on it. With this being said there is no hour meter on the model (only 60in. Model) bummer.
So hour meter is on the way $100 later from my toro app available in the playstore. Also purchased the recycling/ mulching kit from from third party thru tractor supply co. Reason behind getting the recycler is because the chute is quite large and keeps you further away from objects tends to be in the way and forces you to make a lot of left turns so you weren’t blowing the grass everywhere you do not want it.
Also makes the mower more sleek and now right turn capable. The bagger was just to big and bulky so that was a no go. And the mulched tips is great for your lawn. Love the feel of the mower like I said I’ve only ran it for about an hour but after going around our berries and 20+ fruit trees it was a breeze I felt comfortable after about 10 minutes.
It seriously cut my mowing time in half. I loved it. The MYride suspension felt like I was in my rocker just jamming away on my 3m worktunes. Thus far I’m happy with my purchase and I would recommend if you are on the limb about going from a conventional rider to a zero turn make the jump.
IšverstiShow in original languageSave your money and get something better! less than 100 hrs and its breaking down. Needs new battery already and one of the throttle arms just free floats with no tension because one of their cast parts snapped.
Its a minimal stress part and it broke. Needs to be sent in for repair (they say). The blower guard is brittle plastic, turn to close to a tree or any obstruction and it doesn’t bend out of the way, it just snaps and cracks off, already on my 3rd one.
DOES NOT LIKE TO START! They don’t know how to tune their motors, you have to crank it over and over and over and over and over and over and over before it starts. I’ve had to adjust the carb multiple times but it doesn’t seem to like starting.
And probably the most frustrating part, is it gets 0 (ZERO) traction. Flat level ground and it will just spin a tire when trying to turn. If the grass is damp or you’re on the slightest of inclines, FORGET IT.
Save yourself some aggravation and a broken lawnmower in the first year by looking to higher quality.
IšverstiShow in original languageTires tend to slip even in dry grass. The gas tank is small at only 3 gallons but will do right around 1. 5 acres. Overall, this mower has a superior cut and the deck clean-out ports do work (follow the owners manual on their use).
Seat is very comfortable. The easy ride system helps with rough yards but will require you to adjust to how it works during your mowing sessions (you tend to feel like you’re swaying at first). I would buy this unit again but like I noted, a larger tank and better gripping tires would be something to keep in mind.
My previous mower was a 20+ year old ExMark, so this change came rather reluctantly. I’m not disappointed.
Performance and style hit the grass running with the Z200 series of zero-turn mowers. Equipped with an Endurance engine, the Z246 mower is engineered for homeowners who want to take their mowing work to the next level.
This machine delivers more than enough ground speed and cutting efficiency to get the job done. Worry free performance with maintenance free, integrated zero-turn transmissions. Powered by Briggs and Stratton, this engine features premium air filtration, chrome plated valves, super finished bearing surfaces, and an oversized cooling fan for extreme durability and superior performance.
The robust frame and casters ensure durability and reduced chassis flex. The stamped cutting deck is reinforced with heavy flat-stock steel for added strength and durability on the leading edge and trim side.
The ergonomic control panel places everything conveniently at your fingertips. The footrest area incorporates generous non-slip surfaces for safe and comfortable use. The deck lift system is spring assisted for ease of use and conveniently located within easy reach of the operator.
The rear guard protects the engine from impact as well as limits access to hot surfaces for safety. The unique tube style chassis features a removable foot pan for easy access to the top of the cutting deck.
The new patent pending park brake system automatically activates or deactivates as the steering levers are moved outward or inward, freeing the user of the task. Air is drawn from the top and bottom of the deck, improving grass lift and delivering a superior cut.
I purchased the z246 as my first zero turn. wish I never had. EVERY year it has issues even though I run it some through the winter. I can’t keep it running without forking out more money for parts and/or repairs.
for 3 grand you’d expect at least a few years of near perfect operation,.
Bought this mower and began using it. After several months I heard a rattling noise and found the front baffle broken by the forward mounting ear. I simply got a new baffle and replaced it. Same problem occurred about 3 months later.
Same baffle, same break. That’s when I found the second problem. Husqvarna doesn’t care even a little about customers. The reps did not even read my e-mails. I asked 5 questions neither the “expert” or the company man answered even 1 before saying “take it to a dealer”.
It,s a 40 mile drive to a dealer and the mower must be trailered. But it must be taken to a dealer for warranty consideration. It’s a $12 part. I’d rather just buy it instead of making that drive, I’d just really like the answers to my questions.
Husqvarna product a solid B+, customer service an F-. I regret not buying the John Deere I saw at the same retailer. I’ll never buy Husqvarna again.

We’ve had this mower for a little under one year. We have 3 flat acres that we cut regularly and the mower works great. Go extra slow over very tall grass and keep at a higher cut level and it works fine.
We also have 10 hilly acres of pasture. Disappointed here. If the terrain is anything but flat, the mower makes all kinds of noises, rattles, and strains — mower is being driven slowly. We can tell the mower doesn’t like it.
When the mower didn’t start, we had to check that connections were still attached to the battery. The spring broke on the side discharge chute and so the chute fell off. We will need to replace the spring.
The floor mat is not attached and has flown off the mower several times. It has gotten cut up under the blades and we finally took it off completely. Gasoline tank size is fine. We’d like it larger, but have had no major issues with its current size.
It just about holds enough gasoline for our upper 3 acres. Height Adjustment selections are fine. We wish our model had a “wash out” attachment so we could clean under the mower after use. We’ve put SLIME in the tires after they went flat because we had a lot of Mesquite trees with large thorns, and the tires have held up okay since then.
Again, the best thing about this machine has been the seat. After riding other zero-turns, this is the most comfortable, especially if you are cutting multiple acres for hours on end. I would not call it “a beast” like some people do, and wish it would not rattle so much during and after bumpy rides, but overall we are satisfied for now, as the cost of a tractor is out of reach for us at this time.
I bought the Toro 75315 mower the week after Christmas 2021 to save money before the spring price increase so I have only mowed with it once so far. I chose the Toro myride system based on comfort and thus far I’m very pleased with my decision.
The ride comfort is different than any other mower that I looked at. It mows very well and has ample power to keep it from bogging down in high grass. The price was reasonable and in line with similar machines when you added in the $500 extra they wanted for their premium seat upgrade.
On the Toro you rock with the rough terrain instead of being pounded up and down. In my opinion there is no other comparable suspension system in this price range on the market. Having had 2 disc fusion’s in my neck ride comfort is critical and the Toro MyRide system delivers.
Time will tell but as this point I would recommend this mower to anyone and especially to those that need the extra ride comfort this mower delivers. Thanks Toro.
I waited to do this review on purpose because you have to use the machine for a while to comment. I am the grounds manager at a small university and use many brands of zero turn mowers of commercial grade to get the job done nicely.
I have mowed 5 acres of my own property for 15 years with a 42 inch cut lawn tractor that cost $2000, so when I could afford my own zero turn I was a tough critic. My only complaints that matter about my Titan mower is that going down any sizable slope, the hydros are a challenge to keep a straight line, the other complaint is the rear tires on this model look cool but slide down any slope! The best news about this review is that this Titan model 75313 cuts as good if not better than any mower I have been on in 16 years at the University, including ExMark, John Deere, Hustler and other Toros.
A zero turn mower is a lawn mower with a turning radius that is effectively zero. That means that the mower can rotate around its own axis without any need for extra space. This makes it ideal for maneuvering around tight spaces and for getting close to obstacles.
The zero turn mower is also a great choice for those who have large lawns, as it can cover a lot of ground quickly.
