20 Best Zero Calorie Energy Drinks (2023 Updated)

I’ve never tried Monster before. I’m very sensitive to artificial sweeteners, the taste is gross to me. I mainly drink mineral water, but i like a can of pop with my dinner. Bored silly with Diet Pepsi, so i’m always trying to find zero sugar drinks i can actually drink without feeling sick.

I don’t buy them for the supposed energy aspect, but most soft drinks are too weak to mask the hoirrible taste of the sweeteners. The Asda Blue Charge cans are pretty good. Nice strong but not too sweet taste, don’t really notice the sweeteners much.

I rather naively bought 4 of these and 4 of the regular Monster Zero Sugar cans. Completely stunned at how poor they taste. The regular ones are just about drinkable, but incredibly weak tasting, these are even worse.

Like watered down Mountain Dew. You can get a better drink just soaking a slice of lemon in a glass of water. Be much cheaper and healthier too. Monster definitely isn’t the drink for me. It’s all image, the Asda Diet Blue Charge is a million times nicer tasting than either of the Monsters i tried.

I always feel bad giving energy drinks good reviews because I know they’re terrible for me, but I am REALLY not a morning person and if I have to be up super early for a flight or an event, I’m lost without drinking something along with my daily coffee to wake up.

This Monster makes me feel less bad because I tell myself it’s like orange juice, and orange juice is good for me, haha. This is kind of a watery orange flavor– more like orange juice that is processed rather than freshly squeezed, but less fake then that Orange Lavaburst you get at fast food places.

This doesn’t feel like as much of a caffeine kick as regular Monster, but more of a kick than “healthy” energy drinks like Celsius (which I use in the afternoons) or Rowdy (whose flavors I don’t care for.

) Bottom line– if you’d like to fool yourself that an energy drink at breakfast with coffee is healthy, go for this. If you need a bigger caffeine kick and don’t care so much about being “healthy,” you’ll probably want to go with something like regular Monster or Red Bull.

These new Monster “Ultras” are so yummy, the original monsters are all too sweet and artificial tasting. The Monster Zero Ultra was the first one I ever tried and it was one of my favorites for a long time.

I used to like the Monster Assault but they did away with it so I had stopped buying their drinks for awhile. I’ve tried every new flavor they’ve released and this is one of my new favorites. It’s like grape soda with a better flavor/fizziness, there’s no way to explain it.

I also like their packaging design on this new line, each flavor has a different design “theme” etched onto the can. They look really cool and give you that burst of energy you need, I definitely recommend you go out and try every flavor, you’ll definitely find one you love.

This @zevia Zero Calorie Energy Drink was on sale at my neighborhood RCSS so I grabbed 2. I gave it a try yesterday afternoon. Here’s what I thought Price: It was a steal at $0. 98 cents. Presentation: I do really like the contrast of the orange and black, however the white lettering does not contrast well and the brand name is not easily picked out.

Taste: ⭐⭐ (2/5), I was really hoping for a stronger mango taste but the fruity taste got lost within the ‘energy drink’ taste. There was also also a weird after taste that comes with cheaper energy drinks.

Overall: Unless you are looking for a energy drink you are hoping to slam back, and not interested in the flavor- only at the price point I found it, would I suggest. In terms of Zevia products, the non energy drinks are much more pleasing.

So I will continue to purchase other Zevia products- but I won’t be going back for another energy drink.

Never really been an energy drink fan before until I tried Zevia. I have been a fan of the grapefruit flavor soda and as such have only been drinking the same flavor in the energy drink. I decided to change it up and go for the strawberry kiwi flavor and wow! Not only is the taste amazing, but I get the same boost and it helps me power through the afternoon slumps without any crashes.

Disappointed, too much coconut. Would have chosen a different flavor if I had known it wasn’t pure pineapple but rather its a bad pina colada attempt. The coconut is overwhelming. Doubling up on flavors isn’t always the best course of action.

A pure pineapple would be significantly better.

I love pineapple coconut flavor. And the minute this was available I made the purchase and ordered two cases. They arrived and I drank one. I have to say the Kōla is my favorite. It has a really great cola flavor.

This one is really good but there’s just something about it that’s not perfection. I don’t know if it is the flavor or that it needs a few more bubbles. But it’s definitely something I’m gonna grab and drink regularly.

I was excited to try the new flavors, as I drink all the old flavors except Cola every day. I really thought I would love them, but I do not like this flavor (Strawberry Kiwi) and I really hate the Pineapple Coconut! I ordered cases from the website as the new flavors were not available at my local stores, and now have huge buyers remorse as I am stuck with 3 cases that I really dislike :(.

I really like getting this product when it is in stock. I feel like this case of Monster is a great deal, but we have had issues with order pick ups with this product. Since we do not see the product before we pick it up, there have been times where cans have been dented or damaged.

I know that it is very likely we could easily exchange the damaged item, but it is an inconvenience to return it back into the store. #sweepstakes.

I bought these Monster Energy Drinks (Lo-Carb, 16 Ounce, Pack of 24) via Subscribe and Save for the added savings. These contain 140 mg of caffeine per can. My husband drinks one of these almost daily on work days and every time I ask him if I should order these, he says no, because he doesn’t want the chemicals.

Well for roughly $1. 25 a can, these are a heck of a lot cheaper than at the gas station or our local stores, so I’m buying them here, haha. If we’re going to have guilty pleasures, they may as well be inexpensive, right? Until we kick this tasty habit, we’ll continue to buy them here.

I live on energy drinks and coffee. I’ve tried many different brands and flavors over the years but this one has been my favorite for the past few months. I tried it on a whim because the can artwork is so cute, and mango flavors are usually hard to mess up.

It’s literally a mango juice with a little carbonation, the energy part is extra. If you’re turned off by the traditional energy drink taste and/or super sweet drinks, this might be a winner for you.

I don’t even care for the original monster but I will stock up on this one in a heartbeat anytime. There’s also a zero sugar version that is the same color without the sugar skull artwork that tastes almost the same.

I am reviewing Monster Juice energy drink, Aussie Lemonade. Unfortunately, I could not find it when searching for products. This Aussie lemonade Monster juice is very refreshing. It almost reminds me of Fresca soda mixed with lemonade.

Perfect amount of carbonation. I really enjoyed trying this new Monster Juice energy drink. I normally go with the rehab ones but this has an extra kick to it. I definitely will purchase this drink again if I can find it easier.

Not all stores in my area sell this new drink. I highly recommend trying it.

I used to LOVE drinking Monsters. I mean love! But the last time I drank one, for some reason I felt like I was having a heart attack for 2 days straight. I’m not exaggerating or lying. I’m being totally honest.

I understand that it was interfering with one of the medications that I take, but it was kind of a wake-up call. These things are terrible for you! Absolutely terrible! I honestly used to drink multiple Monsters a day and not think anything about it.

Now just the thought of drinking one gives me anxiety. Monsters can disrupt your heart beat and cause an increase in heart rate and blood pressure. It doesn’t sound like a big deal now, but if you experience what I went through you’d have a whole different opinion.

If you are going to drink them, be responsible and only drink one, and drink plenty of water too. Be safe, always.

I like the flavor and the energy provided. I have been working nights for 22plus years and since these came out I have been using them as a crutch to survive night shift issues. They work and I have tried most of the drinks I can.

Green monster always wins. My daughter only drinks the white monster. All in all I have literally had thousands of them and keep expecting health issues but my latest physical came back excellent. So much for all the energy drinks will kill you comments.

I average three a day mostly and will until my blood turns to sugar.

Product has NO sugar, is loaded with B vitamins and natural source amino acids it’s great for energy and a relaxing drink. It comes in many flavors, however, I prefer this one. It can be difficult to find in stores so the delivery was a plus.

I love it. It’s a mystery flavor. I can’t tell from drinking it what flavors it has. It’s just cold and good. Packed with flavor. I like them all, but if you’re looking for a little mystery, try this one.

i love these monsters and regret that the price has gone up 25 percent with the smaller cans. this box had apparently been dropped on the side and at least 6 will have to be opened with a hammer and nail.

I love this flavor, but can’t always find it in the stores. When I unpacked the boxes, two cans (I ordered 2-12 packs) in one of the packages was almost empty. During shipping, it appeared that someone had either dropped the box or placed something heavy on it because the cans were bent to the point that a hole was created and the contents of the can leaked out.

I noticed the the outer box was wet, but because it was raining, I assumed it was due to that.

This is soooo bad. Easily one of the worst energy drinks I’ve tasted. It literally tastes like you’re drinking perfume. There’s then a horrible aftertaste that lingers that’s so bitter. All I can describe it is like you just drank perfume.

So bitter and so bad. Never ever again. There’s so much better out there. Skip this one and you’ll thank me later.

Purchased the Rockstar Pure Zero Energy Drink, 3 Flavor Variety Pack, 16 fl oz. Taste great — in particular, Limon Pepino is delicious. Note that these have 240mg caffeine not the lower 160 mg –that detail isn’t very clear in the pictures or description.

I have been a Zoa drinker since it launched and pinnapple coconut zero calorie has always been my jam but. When this White peach came out. It’s my number 1 and I don’t go a day without my ZOA. Keeps me energized without the crash, keeps me pumped with all natural ingredients and vitamins to keep me strong and pack my immune system with what it needs.

Just like the Rock this drink is “the great one” of all energy drinks. Love the new white peach, and tropical punch, and also the pineapple coconut and the wild orange. All my favorites. Number one drink on the market today hands down.

I love this drink! It has no artificial colors and uses stevia to sweeten it. I searched for quite some time to find a zero calorie energy drink that didn’t use sucralose or aspartame, but still had a good kick of caffeine.

Wonderful tasting product without a strange aftertaste! Every flavor I have tried has yet to be disappointing. I’ve heard of some people using this as a preworkout. Although I’m not sure if I would consider it giving me the same amount of energy as my regular preworkout, it is a nice pick-me-up throughout the day.

is sooo much better than I expected. I have to be careful with some drinks to keep them low sugar and generally that means that taste in the back of your mouth confirming all those zeros on the can. Steaz is different though, it does have that slight green tea/berry aftertaste but it’s refreshing unlike a lot of comparable energy drinks.

So, my ma bought me some drinks to be nice last night. I usually get the coffee 300s for morning! The store she went to, didn’t have them. So she grabbed 4 completely random Monsters, hoping I would like atleast one of them! When I saw this one, I was bummed, since it’s zero sugar, I figured i wouldn’t like it since some other monster zero sugars didn’t taste very good.

After looking at the can, I couldn’t figure out what the flavor was supposed to be, I had no clue! After googling for a few minutes, with no luck, besides “Mystery Flavor”. then I finally found one that described it as, “kind of like guava, grapefruit and or strawberry” so, that at least narrowed it down a bit.

The details on the can are so cool and pretty, they’re different sized roses, they are textured too, so it feels cool and makes the drink even more memorable! So, the flavor, it is delicious! Id say, it’s pretty spot on to the random flavor description on Google, something like guava, grapefruit strawberry! It is refreshing and light, it has carbonation and I really would have never guessed it was sugar free if it wasn’t plastered on the can! So, that’s awesome! It has 160 mg of caffeine (not 300 like My coffee drinks but, in a pinch it’ll work!) Overall, I would recommend this if you like Monster Energy Drinks Light refreshing flavors similar to strawberry etc.

We love Heinz ketchup on Mac and cheese, grilled cheese, and of course French fries. My husband loves to put ketchup on fish and chips even, I know, it’s different 😋. Nothing tastes as good as Heinz, I know we tried others and always end up back with the real thing.

I grew up on this stuff as it was made in a factory in the town I was born in, from the tomatoes that were grown locally. Unfortunately a new company let staff go and started making it elsewhere. I’m not even sure if it’s still #Canadian anymore even.

My girlfriend and I met this guy Kermit at COSTCO in Wisconsin. Amazing guy, super friendly! So we tried Aspire energy drinks he had. Not much of an energy drink person but, wow I was blown away. I like the lemony lime the best. It’s great for type 2 diabetics. It literally has No calories, No carbs or No Sugar. It has a great taste. I haven’t gotten more energy from it. It’s still the first day lol.

I tried samples of two of them (raspberry+ Acai and mango) in Sam’s club and they were tasty so I gave In and purchased the variety pack. In the end, lemony lime had the mildest taste and I stick to that.

Honk really good. I enjoyed it. I liked the bite of the carbonation and acidity of all energy drinks but with a nice refreshing taste – not too sweet or syrupy. I’ll be buying it again. Especially for the cheap price – which is an added bonus.

Man I used to love their products at GNC, but since having to travel the last couple of years abroad for work, I have always tried to have them ship me their product. Seems to be getting worse and worse.

From cans being completely punctured, to the last time I ordered I added enough product to get the bonus items, which really made it worth the high shipping for overseas, they did not add the products that were promised, and i’m not surprised.

is a really great energy drink. This flavor is bomb 💣😋! It has no sugar, no calories but delivers on his hydration and energy. I’m not able to drink most energy drinka due to a heart issue, but this doesn’t race my heart like other energy drinks.

It’s hard to decide what to rate this. I’m being completely honest and unbiased on this drink. I tried raze today and it tasted sweet almost like soda. That isnt bad but it isnt good. It was too sweet for me but I guess people like it like that.

I drank it 20 minutes before my work out and I’m a boxer, my work outs tend to be 3-4 hours long everyday. I started off with a 12 mile cardio workout and then all was good I almost forgot I drank the drink.

Then I got home and started to do my jump rope cardio. 2 minutes out of my 30 min of jump rope in and I felt like throwing up and my heart was pumping way to much. I didnt even finish the entire bottle , I had less than 1/4 left and this is maybe an hour after i drank it.

I felt better and finished the workout with no problem , intact i finished with no hard effort. That’s a good thing, then I went onto abs and chest and finished great. I ate after showering and immediately.

I knocked out. I was surprised I crashed. now you might be thinking well you did have a hard work out. well I work out like this everyday for the past who knows. I never knocked out after a work out.

Yes I felt tired but I waited till it’s time for bed. But today my first day trying this I experienced a crash. I’m thinking this is a great energy drink just not for people who consider themselfs real athletes.

I usually when I’m looking for a boost, drink a drink that starts with a R, lolz, and I have no problems with that and was tryna see what the buzz was for Raze. I hope this honest review helps. This drink is probably a good waker upper but not a prework out drink, you’ll be sleeping like a baby haha.

I’ve been drinking the zero calorie steaz energy drink for years. It gives me a nice and healthy boost in the day, nothing jittery at all. It’s an energy drink that I feel good about drinking!! Taste is great too! The regular steaz is too sweet for me and I like to save on the calories, but I’d highly recommend both!.

This energy drink slaps. One of the best i have found. I have been drinking these for almost 5 years and still provide energy as well as deliver a great tatste. Put away them red bulls and grab one of these bad boys.

Great tasting energy drink – I do prefer Redbull, however, Rockstar gives you more drink for the dollar so it’s a better deal. Because there are 0 carbs in this product, it makes it perfect for the keto diet or others following a low carb lifestyle.

When I think of a canned energy drink from a workout company, I often think of a chalky textured drink. This threw me through a total loop. What made me give these a try were the new candy flavors. They taste exactly like the candies they are after.

Imagine drinking a soda that taste like these candy. They are very well carbonated. These did not give me a boost of energy, but did keep me going all day without feeling as if I was going to crash. Would highly recommend.

C4 flavor testing was superb!!! Flavors are amazing, I used a serving scoop in about 8oz of water mixed with crushed ice. I am a huge fan of Cellucors C4 line and this doesn’t fail me too the least. I won’t be going into complete detail as I have learned all about ATP, energy systems, etc in College however one thing I found great about the C4 is that you won’t feel any crash after training/workout.

I felt the boost and noticed my training/workout lasted longer than normal. I could’ve gone even more, and it’s hard to find a naturally perfect balance of ingredients in an energy booster, not only does it boost ATP/Energy within the body, the ingredients are a perfect mixture, plus no crash which is what we all need.

I’m a long-time user of the original C4, so I was very curious to try out the new “Sparkling” version of my favorite pre-workout! My prime question centered around how the carbonation would affect my workout.

would the bubbles prove to be distracting in any way? I’ve always found C4 to be the pre that’s most agreeable with my stomach, never having any issues, and it would be a deal breaker for me if that didn’t stay true here.

I wanted to find out right off the bat, so I downed my Frozen Bombsicle in a minute or two while I was grabbing my shoes and phone, then got outside for an early-morning run. I felt the 200mg of caffeine clear some cobwebs right away, and after just a couple initial burps, I found that the C4 settled nicely into my stomach and did not affect my workout negatively at all.

After about 15-20 minutes, I even got the tingle in my ears from the beta alanine and I felt compelled to hit the ground and mix in some pushups and crunches intermittently with my run. That’s a great sign to me! I drank another can the next morning before going to the gym, and felt supported and encouraged throughout my entire workout.

So in terms of comparing this to the already great original C4, it gave me everything I was hoping for, with no adverse affects from the added carbonation. I’m guessing this is being presented to compete more directly with the “energy drink” market than the standard pre-workout market, though.

In those terms, I think with the right marketing it should do fairly well. Taste-wise, this was enjoyable and really did remind me a bomb popsicle, and also wasn’t too far removed from my preferred blue raspberry C4 flavor.

At zero sugar and zero calories, I really don’t understand how anyone could knowingly reach for some other energy drink that is loaded up with sugar and high fructose corn syrup if given this as an alternative.

I know I would definitely reach for this over any Monster or Red Bull 100% of the time!.

Monster Ultra Sunrise tastes pretty spectacular as far as zero sugar anything is concerned. Even better, it definitely does what God intended it to do: provides that good, strong, swift, motivational kick in the pants which enables you to get it in gear, and start the day with a fire under your butt, straight out of the gate! I love that Monster Ultra Sunrise is readily available in most grocery, convenience, and drug stores (within the US, at least), and the price point doesn’t make you feel bad about purchasing it.

First, I was a DIE HARD Heinz customer since I was young girl. I loved the taste. Over the years, it changed slightly but overall, I was always grabbing this off the shelves. That all changed when they stopped used Canadian tomatoes.

If you are Canadian, your money is better spent on French’s who picked up the slack when Heinz took off. Ketchup isn’t healthy really, usually packed with sugar but I don’t care. French’s always and forever.

This is my favourite energy drink in the EU. I first tried it in Spain and got addicted. I then moved to Germany and the only place that I have seen that sells it is REWE. It’s kind of annoying because in Germany a lot of gas stations/grocery stores don’t have a good variety of energy drinks so I always have to buy a lot at one time.

I like this drink specifically because it has zero sugar and it tastes exactly like Coke Zero. When I was back home in the states for vacation I also didn’t see it at local gas stations and I wish they would have them.

If you are like me and struggle to keep your eyes open nearly half way through the day then I have a surprise for you. This year has been a new start to a new beginning. I decided that I was going to tone up.

Coke a cola energy zero has made this possible. It’s delicious, gets me moving and tappers off without crashing. It beats other leading energy drinks by a milestone. Never felt more satisfying. I would definitely recommend and continue to use this product.

I decided to purchase this because it’s a new product to me and I really wanted to try it out. This coca-cola product is an energy drink that contains guarana, b vitamins, and caffeine. It’s a zero sugar drink, but they do offer the regular version with sugar.

I think it has an appealing taste. It’s not highly carbonated which is a plus to me, however I burped like the dickens when I drank this. I gave it four stars because I don’t drink energy drinks often and it’s not something I would purchase every week, but possibly once a month.

I loved that it didn’t have a heavy syrup taste to it like some other kinds I’ve tried.

I too, did not receive 24 oz cans. They are the 16 oz size. I believe Monster’s Zero Ultra is far and away. the ALL TIME, BEST tasting, sugar free, fizzy drink known to mankind. I do a LOT of research with my shopping and I read every little detail.

Therefore, As much as I would have loved to receive 24oz cans, I wasn’t expecting any. Still, Walmart should update the listing so it is accurate. and, I too, received a box that was breaking apart at the seams.

Honestly, I’m not sure Walmart is to blame as much as the shipping company is. The 12 pack of cans was packaged fairly well, but it would only take one drop inside of a delivery truck to cause the case to begin to rip open.

Fortunately none of my individual cans had any issues with them so now I’m punch drunk happy on my Monster, Zero Ultra.

NOT FIZZY!! Almost all the energy drinks out there are fizzy. I have had bariatric surgery and cannot do anything with carbonation. This and the rock star energy ‘restore’ brands are the only two I care for.

I like the flavors in this bundle. It’s a great deal for the money. Works out to ~ 1. 50 USD for a can. In the gas station it can be as high as 2. 75 in our area. With all that said, I would have preferred that Monster not have discontinued the ‘orangeade’ flavor that preceded the strawberry lemonade.

It was much more palatable.

This is in my opinion the Best tasting monster made, besides the rojo tea they stopped making a few years back, but that’s a whole other subject. This one tastes like tea and peach. Less sugar, full of juice, and vitamins.

This is made for recovery and it really is good. Would recommend this but honestly I hope you don’t buy it because it’s more for me haha. But seriously it is worth a try. Also it’s not carbonated and no yucky aftertaste like the other ones.
