Wish this could have been a latest Gen7 product, thus enhancing its range and low power consumption. This is an excellent motion sensor very small in size and with other inbuilt sensors useful to trigger the events.

Its so tiny yet powerful enough.

Added straight away to my v2 Hub and has an officially supported device type. Not totally convinced on the wireless range, but I can’t honestly mark it down as the garden room it occupies has two layers of celotex insulation and thus 4 layers of foil to try and get through.

Once I had installed the Fibaro Dimmer 2 in there (which has a better position for the signal and can act as a repeater), the motion sensor then came to life and started working correctly. The sensor itself is nicely designed and the mount makes it very easy to pop in/out as required and position where you want it.

The marketing pictures are slightly deceptive as it certainly doesn’t look like an iris on the front, although that’s actually a positive in my mind as having a dis-embodied eye staring at you from the corner of the ceiling would be slightly disconcerting.

Everything seems to work perfectly thus far, and I’m enjoying having a luminance sensor to make my lighting more autonomous and appropriate to the conditions. I intend to buy more as I expand my smart home’s reach, very happy customer.

It works nicely, maybe the motion sensor is not always spot on and does not always see a person entering the room. But when I set the scene “if motion is detected, turn on the light”, it might take anything between 6 and 10 seconds to switch light on.

And the hub is very close by,. So here definitely there is something to work on, speed is critical.

The device works fine, but it is absolutely necessary to know the time of the last motion detection (like “lastDetection”, as an example) through the SwitchBotAPI -> Get device status. moveDetected is not enough.

Please, add it as soon as possible! Thanks in advance!.

I use it to control my heat-pump, I automated the start and stop using the thermostat, sometime the bot just don’t press the button. I have a hub near the button. If you need it to open light/close light it will work fine, IF the light does not open, just repeat the operation, but with an heat-pump, without human intervention, this is not 100% reliable.

The sensoris in a room occupied by tractors and trucks. There is nothing larger than a cricket in the room. Still, it produces false alarms too frequently. When the alarm center calls they are challenged to tell me which of our two systems was triggered, unable to tell me the genre of the system so I could figure it out myself, and when my wife cannot provide the safe word within a few seconds they dispatch local law enforcement.

The Simplisafe components are easy to install and setup. Put base station on your wireless network. Put control panel in add device mode, detect sensor, name sensor. Peal off stickers on the back, chose your location stick to wall.

Done. Works great. I had an issue installing a couple of the components because the wall surface was a little rough but pushing harder took care of keeping the components stuck to the wall. This is especially important for the motion sensors.

If they come off the wall they will set off the alarm if the alarm is on.

The good: Picks up motion fairly well. The bad: No LEDs on the sensor. There is no way to see where coverage area starts and ends. Other products have LEDs so that you can walk around and see where motion is picked up.

The only way to check for coverage is to turn the system on test mode and trigger the alarm. After the 3rd trigger, Simplisafe started calling me which was a pain. Installation: You can only stick the motion detector either flat on a wall or in a corner.

It would be nice if you could adjust the angle that it points at.

Great condition, looked brand new, only missing the installation/programming instructions and original boxing, battery shipped with it. Will require downloading instructions and programming tomorrow to see if it works properly and battery is ok.

Ive been using these for years to monitor two stairways in my house. They just work. They go off for both humans and pets, including the cat. I can;t complain.

So easy to add to your existing alarm system. I put these on the wall with double face tape; entered the numbers in my panel and a few minutes later had increased protection!

I have always used Alexa and to control my smart lights, however I got tired of always shouting commands to turn on the lights especially since I don’t have an Alexa in every room. So I thought this would perfect since it is motion detected instead of voice.

However my initial setup was a nightmare. I had my bulbs already synced up with Alexa and my bridge and I thought I could just add motion and that would be all, but nope! I had to reset all 15 lights.

I found out that by adding these motion sensors it makes my Alexa voice commands and smart bridge useless, like literally the device is incompatible with it. So if you don’t mind giving up alexa/Google voice commands and your smart bridge to control your lights then go for it, I just had no idea.

The app even tells you during setup that’s it’s “not compatible at this time” so my lights are no longer showing up in my Alexa app, bummer. But of course you can use the c by ge app to control the lights but not Google or Alexa.

Beside those negatives it works as expected I have my upstairs lights turn on automatically if someone walks up the stairs and same downstairs. You can set the brightness according to the time of day and a timer of how long the lights should stay on to save energy.

Also a tip set up your lights FIRST, then add your motion sensors or it will not work, so if your previous lights are already synced up with Google or Alexa you will have to reset your lights then add the motion sensors.

Also there will be a firmware update out the box, so I recommend you install that right away.

Received the GE Fund widescreen Smart Motion Sensor 1- Pack for testing and reviewing purposes I’m using the sensor as a walk in light when you first enter my house. I love the fact the lights pop on when we walk inside.

For that purpose, works fine – I’ve got a GE smart bulb in there and they work together just fine. But that’s the issue, this only works with the GE smart ecosystem. The sensor does NOT integrate with Google/Alexa, and it seems any device you sync up with it won’t either, so count those out of your “smart home” if you’re Google/Alexa based.

For me, it didn’t matter since the pantry is very standalone and I only need motion sensing. I do like the fact this is a wireless sensor that it is small and not noticeable. Can mount it wherever you’d like.

Battery is holding up great, and the motion detection is spot-on.

They worked erratically. I could not fine tune to work according to what they were supposedto do. We will be returning them they do not work well at all.

Will randomly turn on for no reason, no heat vents ,large bulbs nearby. Inconsistent turn on when a person enters also. Will look for a higher quality motion sensor soon, and put this thing in the trash!.

The actual Zooz 4 in 1 is good, if that’s what you are getting. Unfortunately I’ve purchased a couple of knockoffs from normally reliable sources. Like buying a Rolex on the street lately. They look identical but my system only works with genuine Zooz and when setting up, the true identity shows.

(Often “Monoprice” or another brand). No reason to think the fakes won’t work on other systems but not on Vera at this time. (Huge shortcoming for Vera also but I hear even the cheap fakes likely work with Samsung Smarthings.

I have two. One works solid. The other will flat line on temperature every few weeks. Removing and reinserting the battery gets it working again. Pressing the wake up button does not. I have another one within 10 feet of the first, it works well.

Probably a quality issue.

Bought 3 of these sensors for use with my Z-wave system – a Raspberry Pi 3B+ running Home Assistant. They paired successfully on the first attempt and provide what I was looking for: motion sensing, temperature, humidity, luminance.

The battery levels are reported as well. I’ve used these at my vacation home previously, so I was familiar with their operation. The only thing that can be a bother is that they will occasionally emit a bright LED flash, which at night can be a bit distracting.

The design is great, very evocative and even the other half likes it. Ideally I would have the HomeSeer HSM100, but they are discontinued, so these are a good alternative. They are set up in HS easily (but renaming takes a while).

Can’t use them outdoors (I’ve tried) water gets into the casings surprisingly – did wonder about recasing them. But, surprise, surprise you CAN use them on 5V – I’ve been running a few off of a (5V) USB PSU – both froma Netbook and via a much higher rated plugin PSI and it’s been fine.

I LIKE mains devices, batteries cost a lot and, yes, I’ve tried the rechargeable CR123’s and they don’t last either. Also means I can set the reporting to be more frequently. Downside is that I can’t tell it that it is now a routing node (could with the HSM100’s – sigh, I miss them).

I will be using these, but wired and indoors.

I purchased a few of these to try as an alternative to the BeNext sensors I’ve been using for 2 years. The BeNext sensors work fine, but they are bigger than these and just aren’t as cool looking. First and foremost, the size and quality is much better with the Fibaro – they are small enough to be mounted anywhere.

The pupil color/brightness adjustment is cool, and with a bit of controller-side processing, you can actually set it to just about anything, not just to indicate temperature. I have Zipatile, and the Fibaro sensors seem to work well on it.

They’re fast to trigger motion detection, and the range seems at least about thirty feet for a human-sized moving object. Zipato and Fibaro works great together.

This is smaller than I was expecting (which is of course a good thing). I thought there was a problem with my smart home integration at first, but having done a lot of online research, the light Lux sensor is known to be fairly blind (unless you have a significant amount of light in the room, your lux value will persistently report 0 – this is apparently not a faulty device of mine but a common issue).

I understand the UV sensor is similarly not useable (you wont get enough UV indoors to raise the value above zero, and this sensor isnt designed for outdoor use). Motion sensing is snappy. You can configure a heap of the sensors behaviour.

If running off batteries instead of the USB 5v power cable, your dead time and unavoidable sleep durations will be 4 minutes minimum (you can configure these update times down to 10 secs if externally powering the sensor).

Tamper, Temperature and Humidity sensors all seem pretty accurate, and work as advertised. This is a nice Z-wave multi-sensor! If you aim to create home automations that rely on detecting the light level in the room, this is possibly not your best choice however.

Pros: Works with the Samsung SmartThings system. Only device I could find to monitor humidity. Battery or USB power With SmartThings or similar, sends alerts to smart phone and allows real time status view Status shows remaining battery life Cons: None so far Other thoughts: After five weeks, my four sensors are still working well with the Samsung SmartThings system.

The Aeotec Multi-Sensor 6 monitors six different conditions and it is the only device I could find to monitor humidity. I bought four sensors to monitor humidity in various parts of my house after a mildew infestation.

Battery or USB power allows me to move them around and place them in difficult locations without wires. They were easy to setup and pair with my SmartThings hub. Realize that everything is done thru the internet gateway device and its software.

I have a good experience with Samsung SmartThings but other systems are available. If you have problems it is likely here, not with the Aeotec Multi-Sensor 6. Also, sensor to hub distance and shielding might limit your application.

I have no problems with distances of 60ft thru several steel stud walls.

Pros: Having integrated my garage door lifters on my Z-Wave network, wanted to try one of these as a garage door remote after one of our standard ones started failing, and also because the materials/shape of my garage made the effective range of the standard opener pretty small- the car had to be literally no more than 5′ away and even then I had to point the remote just right, so this became an ongoing frustration for me and my family as our driveway is at a pretty sharp incline.

This thing works great! It’s no bigger but much lighter than a standard opener, and at our particular location has a range of about 2. 5 houses away. Only downside is that have to use 2 separate actions for opening and closing (tap vs.

hold), but that is a limitation of the Z-Wave lifter, and actually I’ve begun to enjoy this difference as it prevents accidental closings. So anyway, very happy with this! Cons: Battery not replaceable.

TranslateShow in original languageEn känslig och väldigt tillförlitlig sensor som jag har flertal av i hemmet. Den triggar/känner av rörelse 1 gång i minuten vilket oftast är tillräckligt. Nackdelen med den är att ljusvärdet vara läses av när den känner av rörelse.

Detta gör att det kan gå långa perioder utan att någon ljusdata. Där jag vill ha kontinuerlig ljusa lösning och kunna trigga sensor oftare använder jag av Phillips Hur som är snäppet bättre på de punkterna men lite dyrare.

Lätt att få in med Deconz II sticka i Home assistant och Node red. Rekommenderas!.

Works great with my Z-wave network. Sensor reports quickly and learned in easily into the VERA controller. On par with the size of the sensor compared to other comparable (more expensive) sensors. Like the CR123A battery, which means it will be years before having to replace.

It works and I would recommend it with the caution of my con comment. It is advertised to work with wired contacts. This is not true. I spent hours trying to get it to work on the 4 sensors that I purchased.

First the place that you need to create the hole is right in front of where the wires are to be attached. The first one bent and almost broke off the connector when the plastic finally gave wave and my small screwdriver hit it.

I would get a report sent when the magnet is placed or removed from the sensor and when the tamper switch was tripped, but it never sent or recognized the fact that I was trying to use a wired contact.

I spent time with tech support who seemed to not know the first thing about zwave and finally gave up and altered the circuit board my self to work with a hardwired contact. For the price and my expertise level I would buy again knowing that I have to alter it to do what I bought it for PROS: Great Price.

Quickly learns in to controller. Looks like all the rest of competitors. Long lasting battery. CONS: Wired Contact does not work. Making hole for wired almost breaks the circuit board.

Main sensor (mounts on wall, etc. ) is 3 1/2″ long, 15/16″ wide, and 13/16″ deep. The accessory sensor (mounts to door / window, etc. ) is 1 1/2″ long, 1/2″ wide and 1/2″ deep. The unit is plastic with a light in the face of the main sensor that blinks red when the accessory sensor attaches to or detaches from the main sensor.

To pair with the Vera 3, follow the instructions included with the sensor and online when pairing with Vera 3. You do have to press the tamper switch inside the unit in order to pair it, so you must therefore remove the back of the main sensor, put in battery, then proceed to pair the unit before closing up the back of the main sensor.

I thought I had not successfully paired the unit, but then when I felt like I had successfully paired the unit I looked in the Vera 3 user interface and I had about 4 “door / window” devices as a result of several successful pairings (maybe).

Or, maybe one successful pairing resulted in several devices showing, I don’t know. Regardless, I deleted all but one device, and it is working now. I am getting multiple alerts each time the device is triggered or untriggered, but I think that has to do with Vera not the device.

PROS: Works with Vera 3 as door / window sensor On par or smaller than other door window sensors CONS: Frustrating to get paired with Vera 3.

I had a slight learning curve syncing this to my veralite. Once I learned the first, the remaining 2, went pretty smoothly. Once setup, they perform exactly as I would expect and I haven’t had any false triggers yet for the few weeks I’ve been using them so far.

Also the batteries are holding up pretty well. Set aside a few hours of learning, installing, and controller setup-ing if you’ve never dealt with stuff like this before. Quick credibility check. I love technology, and am always looking into starting (but not always completing) my next DIY project around the house.

Because it is not possible to set security cameras to not detect and alarm on bugs and flying objects at night that are attracted to the infrared night vision I use these as the notification device that there is movement.

(I know there are those experts that say you just need to know how to setup the motion sensors but I have wasted too may hours trying) I turn off the camera alarm notification at night because of bugs and use the Ring motion sensor to notify me of movement or persons in the view of the camera.

Using these I can set the sensitivity on the cameras to better detect and record humans and most size animals. I live in rural Texas and have 14 high dollar security cameras and sleep much better using these rather than the camera notification at night.

After receiving this product a few weeks ago I was really excited to use it especially since its such as handy product in the house. However the product was really hard to install and did not include batteries.

You also need to have another ring product that acts as the main connecting point for the other ring products so downloading the app like stated on the instructions did not work with unless you had the main connecting product.

Overall, the product took a lot of time and money to install and was not as valuable as expected.

The item does what it is supposed to, the key is taking having a Ring Bridge and some planning. I have this item tied into my Ring Low Voltage Transformer. I have it positioned around the side of my house so that when guests come around the corner to the back of my house where I have built a deck for the neighbors to hang out after dark, it lights the deck stairs.

I played with the location of the sensor several times so that the step lights come on just as they round the corner usually unless they are running. I moved it around a couple of times due to the slight lag between motion and the lights coming on.

So far it has been great, and at a casual stroll the timing is perfect, gotten lots of compliments on my setup.

Kit contains all you need (besides the Wink Hub) for a basic alarm system. It even comes with batteries! The 3M VHB foam tape makes the door sensors and magnets easy to install. The motion sensor covers a large area.

The motion sensor also tells you the room temperature as a bonus feature.

I have purchased 5 of these kits to compliment my smartthings HA system over the last year. The window/door sensors work great and though not the fastest response time, the motion sensors do get the job done and have temperature readings down to 32F.

They are also adjustable for active/inactive delay. I would buy this product again.

One of the window/door sensors came defefective. In researching the internet there is no true way of factory rebooting the device once the device LED is always on. So if it errors out on install it is done/useless.

I bought this and connected it to my raspberry pi with Home Assistant (hassio) installed. I had to buy a Zwave usb dongle as well. The motion sensor controls the Philips hue light strips in the kitchen so when we walk in they turn on and turn back off when no motion detected.

The sensor is great, it detects our motion but not the cats. The temperature is really helpful as I have plans to connect it to the central heating. The lux sensor is strange, it never seems to read above 39lux, my plan was to use that to decide if it was dark enough to warrant turning the lights on, but ended up using the hassio sun setting instead.

Setting up the sensor was easy, however had a couple of issues running it on batteries and then a cheap usb. It kept dropping out, loosing connection etc. When I used a decent branded usb and plugged it into my power socket usb port it’s worked great since so bear that in mind.

Also under battery power it goes into a sleep mode so only reports it’s temp, humid, lux etc every hour, under power you can set it to anything you want (I have every 60sec). When under power it also acts as a repeater for the Zwave, helping the integrity of your mesh.

So far so good. The multi-sensor connected to the Z-Wave network quickly and easily. I am using it with the Hubitat controller and all the required variables are brought through without issue. As I was mounting the sensor in the kitchen I also bought the ceiling mounting kit which posses a subtle issue in that I needed to get 5V micro USB into the ceiling void somehow.

This involved a third party PSU and sacrificing a micro USB lead but now it works well with everything accessible through the cutout. The sensor can be run on batteries but this causes sensor refresh rate limitations which I could probably have worked around.

Really like the unit and will be adding more to my system as I refurbish each room of the house.

I bought two about two years ago and have been using them with rechargeable batteries. They work so great that I bought another one a few months ago but I couldn’t get it to work properly. Aeotec customer service advised me that the slightly higher voltage of rechargeable batteries causes problems and therefore you can only use regular batteries.

This was a massive disappointment as I have to change the batteries 4-5 times a year. There appears to have been a hardware change as my older ones work perfectly with rechargeable batteries. There is also a delay of a few seconds when the motion sensor is triggered.
