20 Best Yoga Mat Under 50 (2023 Updated)

We ordered two yoga mats for my husband and I to use in a strength and conditioning class. We liked them right from the start. The 70 inch added length allows for full body placement on the mat. The half inch thickness provides added cushion on the linoleum workout floor.

We found the horizontal textured lines on the mat provided better grip for our shoes when our knees were bent. We use the knee pad rolled up and placed under our necks for added support. Both the mat and the knee pad roll up nicely into the Velcro carry strap that makes transport a breeze.

I am very pleased with this yoga mat with its thick padding and it provides great support for my body when I use it for my various exercises. The knee pad also comes in handy for some of the exercises that involve my knees.

In these times of Covid19, my fiancé and I have had to take our fitness routines home. Because we have hard tile flooring, exercising on our regular yoga mats just wasn’t at all comfortable, especially on the aging knees.

I looked on Amazon for a new mat that would be thick enough, and I didn’t want to have to spend a fortune since eventually, hopefully sooner rather than later, we’ll be back at the gym and yoga studio.

Let me just say, this mat is a godsend! It’s very thick, but not too thick for yoga or pilates. I haven’t had any issues with discomfort on the mat since using this. It folds up really nicely. It also comes with a convenient carrying strap, which will make it easy to transport to the studio if I decide to use it there.

For now, I plan on this being my at-home yoga/pilates/HIIT mat! I’m so glad that I purchased one for myself and one for my fiancé. Only complaint is that it DOES slide a bit, but I think that’s just due to the type of flooring we have.

The sliding can be annoying at times, but I’ve been able to manage fine.

This would be a 5 star review if I didn’t have to wait so long for delivery. The mat is a great size and cushioning is perfect. I bought it as a gift for someone. The wait for this item (and many others on this site) is way too long.

I always check Amazon for same items since I have Prime and delivery is prompt wit free return shipping. Zulily needs to improve in several areas. Delivery time, shipping, and quality of non name brand items would be a start.

Really nice and squishy. When doing my stretching and floor exercises it’s really comfortable. I wish they had colors other than red when I purchased mine since I don’t like red, but every other color was sold out.

I still would recommend to others (even in red, haha).

I love how thick the mat itself is! It gives a little extra support to hurting joints. What I did not like is how easily it comes apart. The foam tears very easily when barefoot. Other than that I love it!.

This mat is great. I’d been using jade mats for years and liked them but felt the need to change because they’re so difficult to clean being open celled rubber. I needed the grip and was recommended this one.

It has great grip and no noticeable smell. If you’ve ever had a jade mat or even lululemon, this’d mats have a strong smell. These gave a scent but not nearly as strong and after a couple practices and cleanings, I don’t notice the subtle rubber scent much anymore.

It’s a bit narrow. I’m a petite person and I feel like it could be an inch or two wider. It’s a great length though. It’s a great weight and doesn’t slide around while I’m practicing. I’ve never had a mat I loved more! I’m a fan for life!.

I upgraded my yoga mat after years of using a foam one, and could NOT be happier. This mat is thick, does not get bent out of shape easily, and has a lot of grip so the mat doesn’t slide around on the floor (great for more cardio oriented activities) and easy for you to stay in place for yoga or any other activity that you might be doing.

Other reviews mentioned a really bad smell that they couldn’t get rid of, but to be honest I did not experience that. There was a slight smell of rubber, not noticeable unless your face was inches from the mat, but even then not bad.

Basically smelled like being in a yoga studio, which I missed. Plus the color is GORGEOUS! I am so thrilled with this mat both for yoga and other workouts that I do. Would HIGHLY recommend this mat!.

I’m sorry to say this but I’m very disappointed with the Eko yoga mat I ordered. I’m confused because I teach at a studio where we use the Eko mats and I loved them so much for their grip that I decided to order one for myself to have at home.

However right away it was extremely slippery in down dog (I don’t do hot yoga. Just slow/medium paced feel good vinyasa flows). I can’t use a mat if I can’t comfortably hold a basic pose like down dog.

I read other reviews of people saying it’s super slippery too so I wonder if it has to do with the color? The ones we use in the studio are the multi blue colored ones (which are great) and the one I got at home (which I really dislike) is the long acai midnight colored one.

Very expensive purchase for something that doesn’t work well. Super bummed.

I have been in contact with this company since August asking questions about what mat would they consider to be the best for Pilates, what chemicals are in the EVA Plant Foam, and if the Encompass will come in the Aura Plant Foam configuration.

Now, it did take awhile to get the details in the Plant Foam, (which I understand due to the world right now) but other than that I have been very amazed by the customer service and quick response of this company! I’ve been looking at the Aura with the Plant Foam back without a design, but because of the Black Friday sale, I was able to look at getting a design which I previously wasn’t looking at due to being unemployed.

I realized that I love the Encompass design with Plant Foam back but it comes in the Original not in the Aura which I was told would be a good mat for Pilates. Being unsure of which one would be better for me, I decided to purchase the “Try Before You Buy” in the Original and Aura.

I ordered them on Monday, November 22 and I asked if I could try one with a Plant Foam backing (as it’s not an option on the Try Before You Buy), and had a delivery date for the following Monday. I didn’t get a response on if I could get it with Plant Foam bock or not, but today they came in the mail on Black Friday-a full 3 days early!!!! I also received a special handwritten note from Hillary saying she had included the Aura with a Plant Foam back! I was so touched that they had included it for me to try it out with the mat I was originally looking at.

I can say now with confidence that I know I want the Aura with the Plant Foam back and the Encompass design. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with the Encompass design, yet, but I’m hopeful it will soon with the same 40% off discount :).

When I first looked at Encompass, I didn’t notice all of the beautiful and subtle details it has, but zooming in, allows you to appreciate its beauty. Also, I looked all over the internet for an eco friendly friendly product that would have the least amount of toxic chemicals as possible (hours and hours of searching) and this company really appealed to me, not just because of the cork, but because of the Plant Foam which I think is truly amazing.

They are going out of their way to find another way to make what would be a not so environmentally friendly mat into a great addition to anyone’s home fitness environment. Overall, I am excited to own the Try It Before You buy it mats and be apart of this company that is trying to change the mat industry! I am recommending this company and it’s mats to my College Pilates classmates and hope that they will be able to support this company along with my teacher possibly/hopefully recommending it to her clients in her studio.

Oh and both mats feel great! and comfortable 🙂 and I can’t wait to get one and workout on it!.

I produce (what I only have to assume is an abnormal amount) of sweat from my hands and feet because I slip and slide on everything – even in a non-heated yoga class I’ll be slipping out of down dog midway through if I’m on a regular mat or sometimes a non-cork mat that’s better for sweat.

I prefer, however, hot yoga (puddles of sweat). Grippy towels on a mat work well-ish but I don’t like to have to keep repositioning the towel; plus it creates more laundry for me). I’ve had cork mats in the past, and I find cork to be the best for me and my body.

Yoloha mats are hands down the best, and this one takes the cake for “best grip under lots of sweat”. It actually increases grip the wetter it gets (so while you could pretty comfortably use this mat for any style of yoga, I’d recommend dampening it with water if you won’t be raining down on it yourself during your practice).

I read reviews before I purchased it and saw a couple that mentioned how it was rough/scraped toes and it was not very cushioned. I have not experienced either to a degree that is significantly worse than any other cork mat I’ve used and find the thickness and weight to be adequate for my practice.

I have not used this mat extensively in a Yin style class – but I also have thicker mats I could use instead if I needed something with more cushion. TLDR; if you are looking for a mat that won’t have you sliding out of poses by the end of a sweat session, then THIS is your mat.

Stop searching and just buy it now.

This mat is by far the best yoga mat I have ever used. I have very sweaty hands and plams. Like if I wear a latex glove, within 5 min sweat starts dripping down my arm even on a cold day. So I am in a unique position to say this is the only yoga mat that I have ever felt properly supported by.

I have always had issues with slipping on other mats within the first few seconds. It’s kinda ridiculous tbh how much of a struggle it’s been in the past. And this mat makes me feel like i can finally start releasing deeper in to poses that I just havent felt safe doing unless I’m on the grass.

But that’s not always an option in a class setting or depending on the weather. Truly this mat has brought more light into my life and I will be grateful for the rest of my days. And while that is a bit cliche to say, it’s kinda true cuz the quality of the product is supreme.

I doubt I’ll ever have to buy another mat again. I got the cork-rubber hybrid and It seems extremely rugged which it will need to be cuz I’m gonna be dragging it all around the country going to festivals in my tiny home 😊🤟 My only critique is that there wasnt an option for the larger size to have a picture on it.

As a someone who is 6’2″ I got the largest size cuz normal sized Mats just feel like I barely fit and just dont feel comfortable for my shoulder with and height. This one feels great but I really wanted one with a yin-yang on it; it wasn’t available for the big mat 😥 so I chose function over form and got the large one.

As for the function of the mat. I truly dont beleive anyone who purchases one of these will regret it.

This mat is super comfortable. I use it both for workouts (which I do at home now; sigh!!) and for yoga. My elderly body (I’m 67 and not really elderly) loves the padding, my knees especially. I’m finding I no longer need the knee pad I had bought to go with my previous mat.

One thing of issue to me is the degree to which this mat is environmentally friendly. While it has no odors and does not give off fumes or shed stuff while using it, and it is recyclable, the process of making NDR, I read, is not all that environmentally friendly or good for the health of those involved in its manufacture.

I bought this because the thick mats I found were all made of this material; there were no alternatives. If you are looking for something more environmentally friendly, you will need to buy something thinner made from cork or real rubber.

I bought this because I wanted the thickness, and buying two or three more environmentally friendly mats to get thickness another way would have cost a huge amount more. I challenge ProSource, however, to find a way to make these of more environmentally friendly material.

Our new mats were delivered promptly and very well packaged. My daughter and I are enjoying the thickness, which helps the mat not slide around and encourages us to do yoga more often since the extra cushioning makes it very comfortable to lie and sit down on.

The quality is great, and the colors are beautiful. Will definitely purchase from ProSource again.

This mat was a true gamechanger for me. I struggled with folding multiple towels and moving them around for an exercise, and still found myself hurting during sit-ups or any work on my knees, to the point of doing exercises wrong because I was compensating for the pain.

This mat has allowed me to forget about everything except the exercise itself. I was worried that it would take awhile to flatten after being rolled up, and that the foam would take time to bounce back after use, but it doesn’t.

Had it for about a month now, use it 2-3 times a week for strength, barre, and yoga-type exercise.

I’m relatively new to yoga and wanted a nice mat that wasn’t too expensive, but also not too cheap either. I hate those Amazon mats because they have a chemical smell that just doesn’t go away. I am SO happy with this mat.

It is perfect and I’m surprised not more popular. It is VERY grippy, so I’m not sure how much these other reviews I’ve seen are sweating. If you are doing hot yoga, you need a yoga towel on top of this.

This mat is great for people who also do bodyweight workouts, because it provides excellent grip and cushioning. My favorite thing about this mat is that it doesn’t smell. I’m 6’0 and still fit on the mat, but there’s not much room when I’m lying down all the way but can still do downward dog and lunges with plenty of room to spare.

It’s super grippy and doesn’t leave marks or indentations where you just were. All around solid investment and a great starter mat if you don’t want to spend $200 on the Pro but also want to get serious about yoga.

Out of the box, it smells a bit like a car tire; however, the odor dissipates after about a week. It functions well. I used it a couple times for both yoga and pilates. Like other manuka mats it appears to be beneficial to wipe it down with a cotton cloth to make it less slippery.

After a few uses, it also provides a better grip. For comparison, my wife has used the prolite for many years, and the x mat has much more grip right out of the box than the prolite. The mat is not too sticky though, it has a good balance.

I have also used a jade yoga mat which has far more resistance. If you sweat a lot from your hands, the x mat may not work for you, or you may need to condition it more, but I think it will work well for most people.

I am 80kg and even on my knees, the matt has plenty of cushion.

The mat is marketed as “super dry GRIP,” however, this is a misnomer as they are actually referring to the close cell technology NOT to the GRIP of the mat (per their customer service explanation). This mat has the worst grip I have ever experienced; I would go so far as to say that it was dangerous.

I would recommend spending the extra money for a better mat if grip is important to you. When I brought this issue up to customer service, their solution was for me to buy their special grip spray. Save yourself the trouble.

I used to do yoga a lot in high school, and wanted to start doing it again earlier this year. I have to admit when I first got it I didn’t know how I liked the texture of it, but as time when on I really like it.

You don’t have to worry about slipping. I love how long it is. It’s pretty easy to clean. Sometimes the brown little fibers fall out, but nothing crazy. It can be hard to roll and stay in the place you want it when you go to put it away.

Other than that I really like this mat it’s nice and heavy didn’t feel like a cheap made mat.

I practice Yoga every single day and also instruct. I bought one of these mats and recommended them to every Yogi in my classes. What a pleasure it was when I walked into class and saw everyone had taken my advice and purchased one.

They are non-slip and a perfect thickness. I do not like a very thick mat. I highly recommend them. I have two in my car and two in my home. Yoga is a portable routine and one never knows when the opportunity may arise to “roll out” my mat.

My mat is my gym.

I absolutely love this mat, but I must admit that I can see how someone with very soft/sensitive skin may struggle to adjust to its mildly abrasive texture. My palms, elbows, and knees peeled a little bit after the first use (but not my feet since those are already accustomed to rough surfaces).

But it wasn’t painful, and I didn’t feel any discomfort while actually on the mat. I love that I never have to worry about sliding around on this mat-I sweat a lot, so a non-slip surface is a must for me! It stays flat when rolled out (no curling at the edges in my experience with it so far), and is also very easy to clean after each workout.

I also love the way the mat looks. It’s very pretty, and the colors are exactly as seen in the images.

Love my new yoga mat! The thicker 6mm mat is much more comfortable than my old thin mat and the design is beautiful. I would give this 5 stars except that I was disheartened by the choice of packaging Gaiam uses-a big piece of plastic wrapped around the mat.

The plastic is not recyclable but in truth I would rather see a paper wrapper that is not only recyclable but that also breaks down easily as recycling plastic is problematic to begin with. Granted, when purchasing a yoga mat you are buying a big piece of plastic but you can put old mats to use in many ways.

It just feels a little tone deaf for a company named “Gaiam” wraps their product in a piece of plastic. I think they can do better.

So I have this yoga mat but in different colors. I do really like this mat, it is thick so when you’re doing poses that require you to have knees bent, it does a really awesome job cushioning those bony areas.

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because it was supposed to be “sticky” but it is really slippery. I followed all the directions to a T and even added water to the surface but I do still slide.

But because I like the thickness of the mat, I purchased a hot yoga towel and have not looked back since. I would really consider purchasing this mat if you are doing hot yoga but purchase a towel as well to keep your hands and feet from slipping.

Overall, though, this is a really a nicely priced mat as it is not totally outrageous like some of the other mats I have seen.

I’ve had this yoga mat for 8 months now and absolutely love it!! Great design with perfect length and width. I’m 5’3 and the length works well for me. It still has great cushion and grip to it after 8 months.

I go to yoga 1-2x weekly. Would highly recommend. Also if you do hot yoga, would definitely recommend buying a yoga mat towel.

Since the pandemic started I have been practicing yoga everyday, sometimes practice is short (5-10 minutes) other times I get on the mat and lose track of time. Sometimes I’m teaching, sometimes I’m a student in a virtual class, sometimes its just me.

Through all this I decided I needed a new mat and decided my budget would be around $100. I searched for weeks for a serious, “next level” yoga mat and decided on a different brand. It had some lovely qualities but I was very disappointed that it was so slippery – and I am NOT a sweaty person! I found the Dry-Grip at an exceptional after Christmas price so I had to give it a try, and I have to say this mat has been a game-changer.

Upon opening I felt the difference in the top surface, which actually is smooth to the touch but grippy. It feels almost like leather. I went right into a down-dog and immediately felt secure – like never before, secure.

After about 10 seconds of micro-adjustments I realized I have never been able to fully get into the posture because I have always felt like I would end up in a face plant. This mat was holding me – and for the first time ever I could REALLY press into hands and feet in this posture.

This mat has helped enhance my practice for sure. I’ve had it for three weeks now and I hope it lasts forever! But when it is time for a new mat I will definitely buy this one again – except I may opt for the longer-wider version.

This GAIAM dry grip yoga mat is great! I needed a new yoga mat as I found doing hot yoga I sweat profusely and was slipping a lot. especially in downward facing dog. I investigated several yoga mats including the Manduka looking for grip and quality.

But settled on this one as it seemed more comfortable as well as providing grip. I’m glad I did. It’s only been used it a couple of times so far. But, the grip has been great. Also, the cushion and top surface are really comfortable and doesn’t chafe my arms when doing bridge and other movements.

Added bonus. it also feels very cool compared to my other mat which definitely helps in hot yoga!.

Have bought the black color of this mat multiple times – not because anything happened to the mat but because I needed one in multiple locations! I fall in love with it more every time! Love the amount of grip, the thickness and the durability, the design, everything! I get so many compliments on it – unique and not just another boring black mat.

Just received this item. Ordering and delivery went great. I’ve not used the mat yet for a yoga class. I have tried it out (sitting, standing, kneeling) and it is incredibly comfortable. I wanted the extra cushion for my knees and I don’t feel pain or discomfort when kneeling on the mat.

The cushion also helps my feet grip the mat. I’m very happy with the purchase so far.

The thickness of this mat is nice but it’s very slippery. I ended up putting my yoga mat on top because my hands were slipping so much. But since it’s on the bottom (on hardwood floors) it slides around a lot.

Definitely not grippy like a yoga mat.

Veryy Comfortable. The straps hold it together well, when not in use. Does not move around much, even on carpet. I use it for Pilates, ab exercises, and cardio – and have no issues at all. This definitely helps with my lower back issues, especially in Pilates.

For people with knee issues like myself, the thickness of this mat helps a LOT with that. Highly recommend to anyone with similar body issues, or if you just need a decent mat for working out.

I have had mixed experiences with Gaiam mats in the past, but make a point to read a wide variety of reviews before purchasing one. I had one similar to this in the past and was pleased with, and feel the same way about this one.

The recommendation to air it out and wipe with a wet cloth before first use were helpful, as it still had a slight chemical smell after laying out over night. The mat is grippy and prevents slipping during poses like down dog, although if you’re really sweaty, like after a run, there’s only so much grip you can expect from a wet surface.

Color options are really pretty, and I like the cushion a slightly thicker mat provides.

I purchased this Gaiam Classic Yoga Mat with Stabilizing Grip as a replacement for a previous Gaiam yoga mat which was getting a bit grubby and worn. The advertised Non-slip support is not true. My hands constantly slip in downward facing dog and when I am transitioning through a Vinyasa flow.

My hands are not sweating. I am attending Hatha and Vinyasa classes, and they are not Hot Yoga classes. This mat is currently 1 year old and I have attended many classes using it. I have cleaned this mat using both yoga mat cleaner and mild dish soap in water.

It still remains extremely slippery. Have you changed the material used to manufacture these mats? My previous Gaiam mats never required a “break in period” or “pre-cleaning” and was never slippery. I find the performance of this new mat very disappointing.

I used to be a loyal Gaiam customer, however it is time to change brands and mats. Especially since you are no longer offering the Guarantee for life.

After looking at a number of mats for floor work-outs, I settled on the two-tone yoga mat. I like the colors (purple). As many others noted, the nubs starting coming off within a month or two of using it.

This only effects the looks and not the functionality. I imagine the nubs are there to reduce slipping, but it does seem like a flaw that they start coming up relatively soon. It had a minor odor when it first arrived but airing it out eliminated that within a few days.

I use it on a carpet so it’s hard to comment on cushioning for sit-ups etc. on a hard floor. But I imagine it would be fine. There are some problems with being too sticky for certain exercises (only a few).

Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and ordered a second one to leave at our vacation house.

Been using this for about a month now 3 times a week and it’s a life saver for me. I have a tile floor which means lots of bumps which would make yoga super difficult with a thinner mat. This mat has made it possible to do yoga on the tile floor without any issues.

Some people have written that this mat had a strange smell to it that they couldn’t get rid of. I didn’t have the experience when it came the mat smelled rather nice, like incense, which I don’t mind at all.

So I’m not sure if that was a old review but this mat doesn’t have an unpleasant smell to it at all. The design is quite beautiful and the color combination makes me smile. For what it’s worth I would highly recommend this mat for anyone, especially those with challenging floors like mine.

Really like this mar so far! I wiped it down with a damp cloth on both sides & left it to dry overnight. Next day it was sticky but very soft. I like the 6 mm thickness for extra padding for my knees! Overall super happy with my new mat! I have a very sensitive nose & am not bothered by any residual smell.

I put my face down to the mat today (day 5 or so after opening it up) & I could smell something but not bothersome—my nose had to be right on the mat to smell it. I couldn’t detect it even in downward dog.

Purchased this mat in June 2020. The pattern and colour is pretty, great cushioning, smelly at first but not anymore. The major problem is, it’s very slippery to the risk of injury. I’ve given it plenty of chance (lol) but no, this morning I finally slipped! I use this mat in the gym.

I have another mat from Sweaty Betty which I use in the house and it’s my favourite ’cause it’s very grippy. Very disappointed as I thought Gaiam is a good brand and it didn’t come cheap!.

For the sale price of only about seven dollars, this mat was just fine for what I do. Throw it on the floor by the tv, turn on YouTube and watch some yoga videos. Sadly it is thin, so it loses a star and my hands slide a bit during downward dog especially once i start sweating.

And it also loses a star because it smells horrendous. There must be so many bad chemicals in this thing because it took 4 days to air out enough I didn’t notice the smell in the house when coming back inside.

For cheap basics though I guess it works.

This was a Christmas present for my 3 year old daughter. She loves to do yoga and somersaults. This mat is perfect for her! It’s provides a softer space for her to practice. It is rather thin, so if you have sensitive wrists you might want something thicker.

The mat did have a strong plastic smell when I first unwrapped it. Other people in the house were also noticing it so I laid the mat over a chair outside, overnight and the smell was completely gone by the next day.

Overall a great purchase for the price!.

I was surprised when Fedex handed me my yoga mat, it wasn’t in a box but wrapped in clear plastic wrap revealing the product. It doesn’t have a strong chemical smells like the other reviews stated, just a faint smell.

Love the teal color as well, this is my third yoga mat from Walmart, no complaints for the price. Thank you.

Like everyone else, I started doing online workouts during the pandemic, and my old yoga mat was just too small and skinny to handle other types of exercise. I tried a few different alternatives, and this one was the best.

It’s not so large that it’s difficult to store in your home, but for me (5’4″) it’s big enough to allow movement, as in kickboxing sequences. It’s about 1/4″ thick, which is comfortable but not too squishy, and doesn’t slide around on my hardwood floor.

There was a little chemical smell when I first opened it, but it wasn’t bad, and faded pretty quickly. I clean it with a spray bottle of vinegar and water, and that seems to work. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that sometimes it doesn’t uncurl quite all the way, due to being stored rolled, but you can easily make it lay down with any kind of weight.

I’m really happy with the purchase.

Disclosure: I’ve only been using it for about 2 weeks so far; and this is my first yoga mat, so I can’t rate it relative to other options. I’m new to yoga, so to start out I bought the cheapest 72″-long, 1/4″ thick mat available.

I’m just under 6′ tall and weigh 195 pounds, and this mat covers my needs. I’m very happy with it, so I wonder why people spend so much more money on other yoga mats. The only two possible criticisms I can come up with are petty and, obviously, didn’t lower my 5-star rating.

1) The mat had (and still has a lesser) chemical-ish, rubber odor. Frankly, I quite enjoy it, but I’m sure that many people wouldn’t. At any rate, when I smell the outside of the rolled-up mat now, I can’t detect the odor.

It’s only detectable now when I unroll it, so I’ll guess that if I had kept the mat unrolled for a couple of weeks, the odor would have “aired out” by now. 2) The mat is a little “sticky. ” It seems to attract and grab onto lint etc.

I give it a couple of shakes before rolling it up and that takes care of it. I don’t think I’d want to use this mat outdoors though.

just got the mat this evening. a gorgeous bright yellow with a touch of orange blended in. and it is thick and it is extra long. i like the thickness, the color and the price. its getting 3 stars for now bc it is off-gassing really bad.

i had to take it out of the bathroom bc the smell was seeping into the living room. tomorrow i will wash it in vinegar and baking soda and that should absorb the odor though i hope i dont have to do this.

sometimes mats are made from materials that never stop off gassing and the odors are toxic. this page on Target only says the mat is LATEX FREE. if it is made of DVC then I will return it. a safe material is natural rubber or jute.

will return to the review in a few days time to say if the odor completely. left. i do not recommend it at this time.

First of all the items arrived in good time per it’s own arrival estimate. The item itself is a nice mat and good size to do yoga and/or whatever you need to do with it. I am 6 ft tall and could lay my entire body on it.

The only reason I didn’t accept it was because it was too hard for what I wanted it for. I have a very bad lower back problem and wanted the mats for that issue so it just wasn’t what I needed. However, I would believe it would be good for someone that wants to use it for yoga or whatever exercises you want to do on it.

The main problem I have is with the return policy. They take half of the price of the item to use their return labels. At least they did with this item. I thought that was a bit steep. Other than that everything in the delivery and return process was fine.

I was so excited to use this mat. It is so soft and thick that I was pumped for my knees to feel wonderful on this. Alas, my first quiet class with this mat wasn’t wonderful. Everytime I moved my feet it would squeak.

I feel like the material is also slowly tearing. It’s almost like it’s stretching. Very comfy, but I don’t think the quality is great.

I ordered mat as a Christmas present for my daughter. I opend the box using a knive. I accidentally cut the mat. The mat was tight in the box and there was no wrapping/padding around the mat. I called, left voicemail and sent email to customer service.

After several days, got a return email. Customer damage is not covered. I asked for a discount as I wanted a new mat. 10% was the best they could do. I decided to take my business else where. The open way to get the box open without cutting it would be to tear it.

Poor packaging!! Beware.

This mat is sturdy and thick. I would recommend it to someone who would just do less impact workout like simple stretches. Its hard to do pushups in it, as per my experience my hands tend to slip in it.

I wear gardening gloves while doing my pushes, creativity. Otherwise it is one of the best exercise mat or yoga mat so far. My old one just gave up on me. Bought it like a week ago. So far so good. I would recommend it to people who just do simple less impact exercises.

To provide context, I attend yoga 3 to 4 times a week, and I practice Bikram Yoga (hot 26×2). My last mat would always have a strange ripple develop during my practice in the middle of the mat. It would also shift a bit as well.

I purchased the hugger mugger and was pleasantly surprised with the cushion feel under my feet. I do practice with the towel on top of the mat however the cushion feel did not affect my balance. The mat is the standard length, it did not bunch up nor did it move on me at all.

The amazing part was how fast it dried compared to other mats I have used. I have only used it for a couple of sessions so I can not vouch for the long term durability. Witht that said I would highly recommend this mat!.

I have used my mat nearly once a day for about 7 days. In one year I will know how well it holds up. It grips the wooden floor. It provides a secure hold for my bare feet as I do the Sun Salutation. It is easy to clean eith mild soapy water.

I like the calm navy blue color.

The material is soft and the thickness is great. It’s not so thick that it’s cumbersome so hop on and off however we have hardwood floors and it does not stay put. In downward dog the mat stretches and the ends stay curled unless you leave it out.

I got it to make sure my alignment was correct and the lines are great for that. It’s not my favorite mat by itself but I’m going to try it over my current mat and see if it will stay in place better.

My only real complaints are that it won’t stay in position, the ends curl, and it feels like the entire mat stretches out during some positions. If putting over my current mat doesn’t help, I’ll probably just mark lines on my mat and put this one away.

This is a thin Mat, if we are being completely honest here. But it is extremely affordable (under 15$) and is a beautiful dark blue color. Also it is very perfect for YOGA! I would not too too many sit ups on here or hardcore workouts just due to the thinness and that it will hurt your back if you do a bunch of sit ups (trust me, I learned).

I received this as a gift from a friend a few years back. I don’t do yoga, and have only done pilates a hand full of times. The mat itself is pretty standard to me. It’s comfortable when lying on a hardwood floor, but I’ve seen mats that have the same thickness and texture for a few dollars less.

Just wanted to let others know that the description as it currently reads is incorrect. I ordered both the dusty red and the black colors. Both are listed on the packaging as being 4mm thick. See photo.

Otherwise, they are fine. Just wish I had known what I was ordering.
