The Relax into Yoga DVD provides safe and informative instruction to those wanting to try Yoga or for those who want to build upon their current practice. It is a wonderful resource for teachers as well, providing principals of sound evidence-based medical findings.

Having attended many classes taught by both Kimberly Carson and Carol Krucoff, I found this DVD to be an extension of the knowledge, expertise and kindness one experiences in their actual Yoga classes.

I especially liked the way the DVD is divided into segments addressing different levels of mobility. Instructions are provided for a bed-based sequence, seated and standing chair postures and a combination sequence of lying, seated and standing postures.

Previously reviewed material was easily accessible through the chapter layout. Seeing real people and not models, perform the postures is beneficial. Be sure to look over the special practices section for relaxation, strengthening and stability sequences.

Also included in the extra features section is a very nice audio MP3 option for accessing the guided sequences. This is an excellent instructive DVD that shows how Yoga can be accessible, safe and adaptive to those with different levels of mobility.

I’m a yoga instructor and bought this yoga DVD because I’ve taken a teacher training with Carol and Kim. As was their training, this DVD is of the highest quality. It is a perfect yoga DVD for an older adult, or for someone healing from injury, or for anyone who wants a very gentle practice.

Carol and Kim’s voices are soothing, and cues are clear and encouraging. The DVD is true to its name–safe and simple practices. Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful DVD for people new to yoga or want a gentler and safer yoga class. There are a variety of practices shown so you can do them all or pick what is good for your body at a given time.

Also good for injuries and other special needs. Kimberly and Carol teach the student how to do a safe yoga practice and reap great benefits no matter where you begin. This is also good for yoga teachers who would like to learn how to treat students that are older or just beginning.

I just started getting into yoga, and this dvd is perfect for those just starting out. The instructor is very calming and takes her time with each pose, letting you really feel the stretch. This dvd has three programs you can watch.

I mostly use the beginners yoga one, but there’s also a slow flow program (I tried it once, it was a nice change, but I prefer the main one), and a meditation practice (which I have not tried). I end up feeling very calm and quite good about myself by the end of it.

I’ve already notice improvement in how far I can reach and in my flexibility. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get started with yoga.

I watched video before work out to get familiar excellent stretch route for seniors. This video feels good to help stretch and make every day activity easier. The location is refreshing soul food and instructors voice pleasant and very easy to understand and hear precisely what she is instructing you to do.

Plus three different work outs to chose from if you do not have time for every one you can at least get one workout in your busy daily schedule.

I do this yoga routine several times a week. Never get bored. This instructor has come along way in therms if the quality of her videos. This one is top notch. Some earlier ones were amateurs at best.

Yoga was recommended to me buy my Rheumatologist. I have been using this for a couple of weeks. I’ve never done yoga a before and found this to be very helpful. I’m still learning to do thing correctly but think I’m catching on.

I think this is great for beginners and will continue to useful as you progress.

Is a very good magazine that teaches us how to stay in shape with yoga clase. I recommend to everyone who obtains it. It has many interesting content. Personally he has taught me to do yoga and stay calm Very interesting.

Tried this and I liked how informative and calm the speakers are. It was a good intro to Yoga. Myself I love more aggressive workouts but for someone who wants to try Yoga this is great.

I teally like this a lot. It’s been helping me with learning yoga. I’m not experienced, so this really helps.

I prefer this brand of Yoga videos specifically for this instructor. She’s calming without getting too spiritual or weird. Other than that it’s hard to review this as these kinds of products are very much “your mileage may vary” kinds of deals.

I’ve been happy with my results after using 2-3 of these dvds regularly.

I am enjoying these over 50 yoga workouts. It’s nice to NOT do plank and downward dog between every pose! Eight different workouts keeps it interesting, and there’s one for osteoarthritis as well as osteoporosis.

The narration is soft and slow, which may be a bit too slow for some people, but works for me!.

i bought the dvd thinking it would be kind of old ageish. there are 8 different routines. have to admit i only have been through the first routine. i am happy to report my muscles are stronger and more supple since starting.

the pace is perfect for a recent couch potato. exercise isnt in my vocabulary. yoga is. the additional routines will increase my endurance.

I like the variety of sessions in which to participate. The slow pace and verbal instructions are great. I would have liked a session in which a full, flowing series of movements was challenging.

My physical therapist recommended yoga as a way to deal with the aches associated with working at a computer all day, as well as job stress. Other “beginner” yoga videos left me frustrated, so I decided to give this one a try after seeing it during a fund drive.

With 3 variations of the program, virtually anyone can follow this DVD. It is also great for any age–even if you are young and fit you can find benefits. I felt better the very first time I did it. While it isn’t obvious from the description, this video has a very helpful section addressing the neck and shoulders.

There are also sections working on balance and leg strength. I’ve been using this DVD in combination with Peggy’s “Back Care Basics” and between the two they’ve addressed the issues I have with sitting at a desk all day.

I’m about 3 months into my yoga program and I’m pleased that I got this DVD. My only complaint about the video is that the camera sometimes focuses on just one of the three individuals, so you can’t always see the variation you are following.

The DVD has 7 sections: 1. Breathing exercises 2. Seated warm-ups 3. Balance warm-ups 4. Standing poses 5. Sun salutations 6. Floor stretches 7. Guided relaxation.

I needed something to head me towards getting in shape. I have never done yoga and thought this would ease me into it. The pace is nice and slow for a beginner. I’m hoping that after much repetition I am able to do the poses without the video to assist.

Great for an older beginner in my opinion.

I got this ahead of time for when older I May needed it is excellent well explained. I saw the entire DVD and loved it. Recommended and very good price yoga never goes out of fashion .

I am more of a intermediate yoga person, but what I love about this DVD is the fast pace of the Yoga Flow portion and Rodney Yee is so descriptive with his narrations that you do not have to watch the screen all the time to see what he is doing.

This is an excellent DVD for me on light days to tired to do the Rodney Yee Ultimate Power Yoga or the Rodney Yee Power Yoga DVD’s that I have. Still a great workout and I still can have my Yoga fix even if I do not have the energy for a more complex workout.

Typical Rodney Yee, which is a good thing. I have several other R. Y. videos, but I do them so often that I don’t pay attention as I should and my mind wonders. So I need a different video to get my head back in it.

A few different poses would be nice, and would earn this 5 stars.

Totally love Rodney Yee! I can do my yoga in my own home, on my own time and not even look at the TV, his instruction and direction during the practice is second to none!. I have many dvd’s of other instructors, but Rodney has a way of guiding you through a practice that allows you to focus on your practice and not trying to figure anything out.

I love this DVD! It is very relaxing and calming. The workout is great for reducing stress, muscle stiffness or for when I have trouble sleeping. Sara Ivanhoe is an excellent instructor with a soothing voice.

She is very encouraging throughout the routine and gives modifications. Highly recommended!.

We checked out this DVD from the library while on vacation and it was perfect to provide necessary stretching routine before and after alpine skiing. We use this and other yoga work outs at our home now!.

I was suffering from anxiety and depression a while ago and my Doctor recomended to do some light exercise to feel relaxed. I heard about this dvd and did yoga for 2 months. I am OUT OF DEPRESSION NOW!!!! This is the most relaxing routine i have ever done.

Instructors voice is so calming and soothing. It has 2 routines in it. 1 is energizer yoga and other is relaxing yoga. If you are trying to wake up in the morning and be fresh all morning without caffeine, try the energizer routine.

It had worked for me the best ways it could. This doesn t mean that everybody is going to have the same results as i have but there is no harm for giving it a try!!.

I was trying to keep up with yoga sessions on U tube. It was so difficult for me to keep my balance and hold a pose. My body was very sore. I was introduced to your beginners DVD. I love it. I am 62.

Rodney Yee’s techniques is simply comfortable, easygoing, and relaxing. I feel much better about yoga now. I am excited to see how far I go. Aging has been a challenge. Using your techniques in Yoga has given me courage to age gracefully.

I truly enjoy this DVD and sincerely hope Rodney and Colleen do more of these very basic beginners DVDs. What is really great about Yoga for Beginners is that the teachers go through step by step on properly aligning your body for a pose.

I have done home yoga for years, but have never truly understood where I was going wrong in some of the basic poses. Therefore, I have spent several classes on just doing the first part of the DVD to relearn yoga.

I also like the other programs in the DVD’s. The instructors’ gentle voices and happy faces really make me relax and enjoy the poses with or without instruction or with inspiration narratives. The sections aren’t too long and thus can be done in minutes, but I usually choose to do both sections for a good workout.

I might point out I have fibromyalgia and lower back disk problems. I feel great after this DVD. Thank you for this DVD. Good job!!.

This item arrived to me faster than the date given which was great. The DVD sent must be a previous edition because the cover does not look like what is shown on Walmart. com. However I am sure that the video is the same.

The moves require no equipment. The pose training is great for beginners who are just learning and a great reminder/self-check for the intermediate yogi. Pleased with my purchase.

I lost the VHS tape of this when my home was destroyed by the Camp Fire. Now, 15 months later, I am starting my life over and knew “Yoga for Beginners” needed to be part of my recovery. This is gentle yoga–great for older ladies like me.

The pace is slow you can relax into the asanas. Directions are extremely clear and there are instructions to make asanas easier if necessary. Every time I followed this to the end my body felt absolutely wonderful.

It is addictive–but good for you.

Great for beginners wanting to learn yoga and the benefits from it. I enjoyed the booklet its instructions and the pictures. The poses show supporting devices to help achieve and maintain the poses. I also enjoyed the history behind yoga.

I bought this because I take classes from Patricia Walden now, and I thought it would be interesting to see her 30+ years ago. The DVD, although old, was very good quality.

I loved the dvds with Peggy Cappy. There are about 10 dvds with the set. Three people are always shown to demonstrate the poses. One is in a chair, the other assisted with a chair and one person doing the regular pose.

She is excellent at explaining and demonstrating the different poses. Great value!.

Wife has needed a less straining workout. This has so far fit the bill. Although it is a 10 disk set & has only completed the first disk, she finds it easy to stay on task & complete her routines. This makes for a more enjoyable experience that produces long lasting health benefits.

After all, who wants to continue exercising if it is not what has desirable results or is not meeting one’s needs in our already busy day?.

These dvds are very easy to follow. There are many levels to take you through, from beginners to more advanced. I can say that am a beginner and I can follow the instructions given by Peggy Cappy. This DVD set is a way to get all your body parts moving and it’s good for all ages and levels.

This was my first purchase of a workout/fitness video ever. I had never done yoga, but I was interested in trying it out. This turned out to be the perfect beginners guide from the get go. The instructor, Elena, has a very calming voice and she moves fluidly and slowly so you can easily learn the routine.

She gives you options on how to intensify your stretches all the while reminding you not to push yourself for fear of injury. The setting is beautiful and the music has a calming effect. After a week of yoga every morning, I noticed a CONSIDERABLE difference in my flexibility, and I was no longer having lower back pain by the end of the day.

During that time, I lost approximately 5 lbs (whether yoga had anything to do with it I have no idea), and even with that small amount, my clothes seemed to fit looser just due to elongating my muscles.

Now that I’m doing a more rigourous home workout, I use this yoga DVD as a back up when my muscles are sore from boxing, or I just don’t feel like cardio for the day. The only downside would be Elena’s verbal cues.

Starting out, knowing nothing of a downward-facing-dog, I noticed when I listened to her verbal movements, once I got in sight of the TV she was way ahead of me. Now that I could do the routine with my eyes closed (which doesn’t feel boring or repetitious at all), I feel like we’re moving at the same speed and it makes for a much more enjoyable experience.

I suggest watching the video first, to get an idea of the terminology and the pace, then try it for yourself. I plan on purchasing the next DVD in this line because yoga have become so much fun.

This video is beautifully done. The instructor is good and the setting and sound are good but this “Yoga for Beginners” is definitely not for beginners. It need 2 chapters at the beginning. One to show you the poses and how to do them.

Then one where you go through the routine one time to get use to doing the poses before you attempt the entire routine.

I love this video! Not only is it great for beginners, but there is a tree planted for every four DVDs from Element sold! This video is set with a relaxing background and the instructor is great at explaining the breathing techniques and moves.

If you want to start doing yoga in the comfort of your own home, I would recommend this video!.

I thought this yoga video was for beginners, didn’t read carefully. 2 segments on this video. Strength section is definitely advance yoga and for those who do yoga often. The Flexibility section is good for beginners.

Amazing how hard the workout is in such a quiet way.

My wife and I decided to try some yoga DVDs, and found this one and a couple of others in the “Elements” series at Best Buy on sale. Although they both offered similar programs to energize/tone in the morning and to stretch/relax at night, I preferred this one to “Daily Yoga” because the AM routine left me feeling I’d done even more of a workout.

Also provides a short bonus meditation primer for those interested.

I look forward to doing my yoga with this video. I love that she is clear and the movements are slow enough so that I may learn how to do them. I also like that she is easy to understand. This video was a great value and will definitely meet my needs.

Excellent yoga DVD. Challenging, but not too much. Filmed outdoors with beautiful scenery. Definitely worth the money.

The DVD was easy for beginners to learn the complicated moves of Yoga. It also show a good variety of all the moves taught in yoga classes.

My yoga DVDs are mostly with Rodney Yee. I like his flows and his instruction. I’m very glad I found this program by Tamal Dodge. He gives clear instruction and has a pleasant voice. The setting is beautiful, typical of Element DVDs, and adds to the enjoyment of Tamal’s practice.

I really enjoyed the Relaxation routine. I don’t do this kind of routine enough in my weekly workouts but need to. Energy is challenging because he holds the poses for a long time, but that helps me to find the pose and work into it.

I recommend this DVD.

Tamal is extremely clear in his instructions, and he lets you know what each pose helps do for your body and mind. The setting is beautiful and calm– Hawaii. The background music is light and peaceful, and he apparently helped create the music, which I think is pretty cool.

Overall, he just has a very calming demeanor, which is a huge part of what makes his series so ideal. He just has a way of encouraging and teaching that is extremely accessible and positive. I hope he creates many more, including ones geared toward people with arthritis or other illnesses.

We like Tamal Dodge in general & this is the 2nd dvd we purchased. Everything about his program(s) is good; backdrop, music, tonality of voice. Definitely thumbs up.

The two leaders of am pm yoga flow smoothly through the poses and serenely lead you in a lullaby of moves. It is enchanting and engaging. The Hawaiian backdrop is lovely. I very much enjoy spending time with them in my living room several times a week.

I thought it was the AM PM yoga done more than 15 years ago that was terrific. They changed too much and it too much talking and not near the benefits of the older one. I was very disappointed with this one and would like to return it.

Bought this today thinking hey great it says for beginners so it should be slow paced enough so I can learn. The first 10 mins or so was great. It was nice and slow and all of a sudden the pace picked up to the point that the guys doing the workout could not even keep up with the guy talking.

It is was to fast for a beginner and for that being an A. M. workout. I ended turning it off. If you are new to yoga (which is what a beginner is) I would not recommend this at all.

This DVD covers basic yoga very well; it is great for beginners as well as advanced yoga students – the instructor shows you how to modify poses to accommodate those with limitations, as well as how to make the poses even more advanced if you wish to challenge yourself.

It’s great that everyone, regardless of your abilities or skill level, will benefit from this DVD. The instructor is easy to follow with clear, concise directions. I highly recommend this DVD!.

In my twenties, I taught yoga. Many years later, I was ill with a chronic, disabling condition. After over 20 years with that, unable to do anything like yoga, I am finally doing much better and have begun my yoga practice again.

Peggy’s video is outstanding for someone like me, or for someone older who hasn’t experienced yoga. I have had to start all over again, and I absolutely love this video!.

I watch this tape just about every day. I am 73 and have bursitis in both hips and a lower back issue and I feel so much better after I do the sessions. I highly recommend this to anyone who is stuck inside during the winter months and just doesn’t get enough exercise around the house.

This DVD was just what I was hoping for and it was just as described, gentle yoga. If you have never done yogo before, it is a place to begin. If you want to learn how to just breathe to calm yourself in stressful situations, well it has helped me.

Yoga has changed my life for the better.

Gentle Yoga for every body is just that Gentle enough for everybody to keep their core in tact. This easy to use DVD uses modified poses and routines for those that are flexible and those that have barriers to flexibility.

I have congestive heart failure, recent diagnosis. So I need to get moving again to try to regain some strength. I bought this in hopes of doing just that, and so far, I really like the program. You get a choice of doing this with a chair, for those of us who are injured, weak, or beginners, which is phenomenal.

I had no idea how much I’d need that help. I definitely recommend this to anyone trying to get moving again after illness or injury.

Usually checked out from library, decided to buy instead. Yoga really seems to help some issues.

I enrolled in a gentle beginners class and found it far too difficult to do. Instructor used all yoga words for positions and I had to wait and watch other students to see what I was supposed to be doing.

This does not happen here, Peggy Cappy is a real winner!.

I am a beginner, and Chrissy does a good job explaining the positions so you can relate which can be difficult watching a video vs a one-on-one. Chrissy goes a little fast for me sometimes, but I’m sure I will get better with practice as she points out several times.

in the video. I like the way she breaks up the routines into three segments, so you can choose to continue or not after the 1st or 2nd. Chrissy is pleasing to listen to, and the setting is beautiful and relaxing.

I purchased this DVD that was included in Gaiam’s Ultimate Beginner’s Collection with Rodney Eye’s Beginner’s Yoga DVD. I would recommend this program for beginner’s and anyone returning to practicing yoga.

Chrissy is cheerful, encouraging and precise with her instruction.

I have been using this DVD for about a month now and really enjoy learning with Chrissy!!! The light touches of humor make me smile every time. She teach in a clear and understandable way. Not to fast for a 53 year old ex- military person.
