I love this yarn for making slippers. One 3. 5 oz skein of the solid colors makes a pair of ladies size small, medium or large. The small size even has enough left over to make contrasting color cuffs for the next pair! I do not buy the 10.

5 oz skeins because I found the weight of the yarn to be incorrect–too thin–on several of the large skeins I bought last year. It did not work with my slipper pattern though the label claimed to be exactly the same as the smaller skeins and recommended the same needle size.

and claimed the same gauge. Unfortunately I had ripped the labels off the several skeins I bought at the same time and tossed them in the trash and stowed the yarn in my big canvas bag that says “Keep Knitting” that is part of my living room decor, so wasn’t able to return the yarn! Will never repeat that mistake!.

I really like this yarn. It is high quality ( i. e. , it does not split) which means your work goes faster and looks more professional. Because the yarn is so good to work with, things get knitted or crocheted almost by themselves.

(Just kidding, but the truth is that Bernat Softee Chunky is very easy to work with) and the choice of colors is wonderful. I made the Highline Crochet Scarf (Michaels free pattern) with using the Bernat Softee Chunky yarn in Linen and True Grey.

The scarf came out beautifully and so easy to do! I gave it to my daughter for Christmas and she was delighted with the scarf.

Very durable yarn and easy to work with. The yarn did not have any ends tied together or frayed parts. The only downside to this yarn is how hard it is. softee is not an appropriate name. But as an afghan it will be very durable and warm.

I ordered more of it already for another project. 1 complaint. you do not have enough of the colors. Had to order some from amazon. rather buy from you.

I had never used Aunt Lydia’s before – I’d always used embroidery floss when doing smaller projects (even crochet or knitting), but I couldn’t resist a color one day and so I bought a ball and made a simple little stuffed animal.

I hate finding joins in the middle of skeins of yarn or frayed parts or dull parts of the dye lots, but I have yet to see any of those issues with this crochet thread. It’s just consistent and good quality cotton AND IT COMES IN SO MANY COLORS!!.

The higher the number, the thinner the thread. Very nice for a lacey touch or trim. Use a loose tension so that you can wash and dry it without the trim shrinking more than the garment it is attached to.

If you use a 1. 3 size crochet hook, you can go through a 6/0 size bead. Always use a high quality Japanese bead with a consistent hole size, otherwise you will waste a lot of money on beads that don’t fit the crochet hook.

And I was like I have to figure this out I have to make this I can do this I know I can! Then I went to Michael’s and I found the exact same yarn that she used I was overjoyed! So I’ve began making scarves and more scarves and more scarves and now I’m getting ready to try to join a pop-up shop.

I also made one for my mom for my sister and I wear them myself and every time I go out in public everyone is looking at my beautiful scarves and they are wondering where I got it from! And when I tell them that I make them they are so amazed! And it brings so much joy and happiness to me when they ask how much do I charge to make them one! It actually gives me some kind of reassurance that I may be able to actually do this and provide for my children better than I was able to before! I haven’t gotten into the blanket yet but I know that I can do it because I can do anything that I set my mind to! Every time someone ask about my scarves they always touch it and rub it and they said oh it’s so nice and soft! I laugh because it makes me feel so good and it makes me so happy that people want something that I can build with my own two hands and they’re beautiful absolutely beautiful I love my scarves my kids love the scarves too! I know I wasn’t supposed to make it this long but the Burnett blanket yarn has introduced me so far into a different world that I never even considered being in the chunky yarn is so beautiful I like big things I like to wear things that make me feel good about myself as a woman as a mother just as a human being the brunette blanket yarn is everything.

I just bought this yarn in-store the other day during a sale, and after playing around with it a little, I’m in love! It is a little tricky to get used to; I’m used to using sturdier yarn that you can pull on pretty firmly.

You definitely need to be more delicate with this velvet yarn to avoid damaging it. I also automatically used a smaller hook (5. 5mm) because I thought the recommended size seemed way too big for what I had in mind.

I spent the weekend crocheting an elephant with the vapor gray color; I literally couldn’t stop, the softness was addictive to work with! The weight, softness, etc. so good! Had to order another ball to finish my project, and I already have plans for future projects with this yarn.

After seeing reviews about washing, I will be sure to keep the manufacturer’s directions of hand-wash only in mind when planning the next projects. I also saw that it’s recommended to work the yarn from the outside of the ball – out of habit (and before reading this recommendation), I automatically pulled from the center (gently) but had no issues whatsoever.

Only found a single knot in the ball, too.

I love Bernat yarn and this Big Blanket yarn does not disappoint! It is sturdy and very soft. I usually wash my blankets on cold, gentle wash and dry it on very low heat and I haven’t had any issues with the blanket coming out damaged.

It is easy to tie the ends together when starting a new skein and the knots hides very well. I have made several blankets for gifts for family members and they all loved it. I even made a baby blanket for my niece who is only a few months old.

It helps to add a little more cushion when she is playing on the floor or getting tummy time. There are lots of colors to choose from. I like the multicolor yarn. It does a great job of sprucing up a blanket without having to do anything extra.

I like that the yarn is one solid piece and not several pieces twisted together to get the bulk. Definitely one of my go to yarns.

Between making amigurumi and stuff for my kids, I use a lot of acrylic yarn. I feel like I’ve tried just about everything, but this has become my go-to yarn for worsted weight acrylic! It doesn’t split easily or squeak, making it perfect for amigurumi.

It’s not scratchy and washes well to become even softer. There’s a good variety of colors to choose from and the stores I’ve visited typically have a fair amount of each in stock, in the same dye lots, which is great for stocking up.

I find very few knots or breaks, though I wish it were a bit easier to find a center pull. If you’re looking for worsted weight acrylic (or something basic to learn with) this is definitely worth a try.

Impeccable is my go-to basic yarn and i absolutely LOVE this tweed! It’s just “tweedy” enough. User friendly, budget friendly. The only reason it’s not getting 5 stars is because I’ve come across several knots in a single skein & there can be slightly inconsistent thickness – both more often than happens with a solid color, but still very usable.

I love the Impeccable yarn series by loops and threads. The yarn is so soft and easy to crochet with. Every thing I make, from hats to home decor, turns out as expected and responds very well in the washer and dryer.

I prefer working with variegated color yarn, but even the solid colors, in the Impeccable line, work up with a beautiful result.

I stopped by this location on a whim while in the area running a different errand & could not be happier with this purchase/visit in general. I had planned to buy one purple skein & one mustard skein by a different brand when I saw Charisma had those exact colors on clearance for a truly amazing price point.

Instead of getting 2 skeins, I ended up getting 24 skeins. I was blown away. I just got back into knitting at age 32 after a casual ~20-year break & I can’t say enough good things about Michael’s yarn selection & prices.

I purchased this product because it was on sale. I have not worked with this product before and I was interested to see what it could do. It is very thick so would recommend having a specific project in mind.

I made winter ear warmer wraps with it. They are very thick and warm but also very stiff. The yarn is very strong. It is great yarn but I don’t think I will purchase it again unless I have a specific project.

I bought some of the Charisma Denim Heather color for a pouf I’m making for Christmas. I ran out and had to send my husband to a different store for more. When he brought it home I could have cried, since it’s almost Christmas and I already made 2 sides of the pouf.

The blue was the same color, but the light flecks were overpowering and it didn’t look like the same yarn at all. I had bought the remaining 4 skeins at store 1 and there was nothing telling me this color had changed.

The wrappers from store 2 said Charisma Heather, color Denim. At store 1 it said Charisma, color Denim Heather. Why the change? It looks more like a variegated yarn than a Heather. Not happy, Michael’s!.

I love working with this yarn and have completed many many baby blankets with it. In my last order, I have noticed (in multiple color ways)same dye lot skeins looking completely different from skein to skein.

It’s a little hard to see in picture but the top skein is very thin, even stripes. The bottom skein is more muted larger heathered stripes with more obvious breaks in color. Disappointed to put in all this work and not be satisfied with the evenness of color/pattern.

Hoping it is a temporary problem because I love this yarn.

The yarn has thick balls throughout the skein. The balls are about double the size of the normal yarn. You can see these balls in the finished knitting – they stick out and your eyes go right to them.

There were also tied knots where the manufacturer joined together not keeping with the pattern of the yarn. I bought this yarn because I thought I wouldn’t have to join skeins as much – I ended up having to join yarns more to keep the pattern going.

Ended up wasting yarn. Will never buy this yarn again. again.

Love this wool! I have seen this wool recommended for many patterns, in particular those I buy off of Etsy. It isn’t available from a lot of the more main stream stores where I like to bulk order from to save on delivery costs.

There’s a wide range of colours and it’s lovely to work with. Love this store, prices very reasonable, items arrive in great condition, bagged and in good time. This colour is lovely not only as a yellow but to be used for gold touches on an item and for feet and beaks of birds.
