Not as heavy duty as I had expected. The cable is only 3/16 thick. But this makes it a bit more compact than the heavier cables. Connectors are not molded to the cable, so there’s a bit of slop between the two.

Eventually the cable will pull free from the connector. Can’t have it all at this price.

These are “you get what you pay for” kind of cables. I own a couple 50′ and 25′ cables. I’ve used these for band practices, recordings and weddings here and there. They work fine, no noticeable sound quality issues.

Worked fine during and after a rainy wedding. But these don’t have lifetime warranty, they feel cheap and don’t wrap nicely, enough where I wished I spent more on better quality cables. These aren’t what you purchase to invest in for your first batch of cables.

These are better suited as backup cables, for non critical events, or people just getting into music/audio who may not be too serious yet. For the price and depending on usage, I could recommend these.

Ordered 6 each of 2 items. One item, the right angle connectors are good, all the same. The other item, received 5 of the same and one of a different style. When I order 2 part numbers, 6 of each, the parts should be the same item.

I like all my cords to match, as these are paired in 2’s when I use them. I don’t think I will be buying from this company again. First impressions are very important to me.

I bought this cable to use as a backup. On the first gig we had after making the purchase, our much more expensive cable gave up the ghost. Luckily, we had this, and it worked out fine. I still wouldn’t want to use this as my go-to, though.

It feels pretty flimsy in comparison to more expensive cables. Just about any cable will fail at one point or another. It’s a great idea to have a backup, and this one does that job well. For that purpose ONLY, I recommend buying this if you can’t afford the alternatives!.

I bought these after reading a review of drum mic holders that were in the way. They help get the cord out of the way, for example, if a cymbal is nearby. They really don’t need to swivel on the mixer or input end, but it doesn’t hurt anything either.

It’s a great product, that’s perfect if you need that little bit of extra room. Buy a pair – you’ll reach for them when you realize that you need them! And you will.

On the bass drum mic, it stopped the guitar player from knocking the mic out of position on stage. That extra inch sticking out obviously makes a big difference, hasn’t tripped on it since.

So far so good. Works perfectly from mic to speaker. Feels like good build quality. Haven’t used it much yet though.

Once this plugs into the rest of the equipment you have a very good system indeed. My granddaughter loves the whole set up. Thanks for making her happy

I love that Micro Center carries Mogami cables. They are my favorite cables of all time! Aaand Micro center is easily my favorite place to shop. I frequent the Micro Center quite often actually; and rarely does it ever happen that they don’t have what I’m looking for.

I’ve purchased Mogami cables for all my gear. I chose these particular ones for my brand new Neumann TLM 49 Microphone for the noise reduction and solid build. Definitely recommend!

I purchased this chord about 3 weeks on AMS and I have been pleased with my purchase every sense! My friends that I was crazy for spending this kind of money for a chord but I told them “You get what you pay for!” This chord is extremely durable for constant plugging and unplugging.

The length is awesome too considering the board may be 30 plus feet from me at times! I will be purchasing more of these chords in the future when I start expanding my setup! #ThumbsUpAMS You guys ROCK!!!!.

I am by no means an expert, not even a novice, in studio equipment ownership or use. That said, I do know quality when I see it, and this cable seems to be of decent quality. It is light-weight, the sheathing is flexible and isn’t sticky.

The connections snap firmly and do not appear to be made of junk materials. It is a nice looking cable and should hold up well over time.

When you purchase a new Shure SM58 microphone, it comes with this standard XLR 20 ft economy cable. For the price, it will definitely work. It has enough insulation to avoid unwanted hiss. The only problem is that the cable connection to the male and female plugs on both ends, tend to wear out quickly.

For the price, I recommend this economy cable for an emergency back-up. You never know when, but one day you’re out playing and a mic cable decides to die for one reason or another. It is always advisable to carry back-up cables with you just in case.

Sometimes, it worth it to pay a little more for something durable that will last you a long time. To sum it up. this is a good emergency back-up cable for the price.

I bought this with a Shure SM58. For an extra $10 what the heck. Got it tried it, it worked, tossed it in the spaghetti box as a backup. The cable itself isn’t a bad one but, not a great one either. The Switchcraft XLR plugs have been around for years but they get loose pretty quick and start loosing connection.

Especially on a handheld mic.

They are real xlr cables that work. The wire and/or the protective rubber around the wire feels very pliable and thin. A thin wire is good for a low voltage thing like a ic or instrument cable though.

These feel they would easily break if pinched under something on accident because the cord is so pliable and soft.

Ernie Ball one of the better product made in the us not China like most things love there slinkys strings quality at a good price not much dearer than cheap inferior cables from China very happy Ernie Ball.

This is the best purchase in mic cables i’ve ever done. It’s long lasting, good quality and it sounds real good. I recomend it to any type of musician and levels.

This is the second mic cable I’ve ordered. Very happy with the quality.

Too inexpensive to pass up, so I bought ten. I use them in a professional venue, shows every night, lot’s of wear and tear, they get tugged on stepped on, smashed by amps, filled with beer. I have a total of about 50 cables in use.

After 12 months, I’ve had 22 cable failures. NONE of them were these cables. I also use another 1800 feet of cables for my festivals where I keep them on rolls, I use them in the dirt, on asphalt, they get run over and beat.

ZERO failures. All the other cables I’ve used failed. Never intermittent, or noisy or failed locks. I used to fix them, as it was cheaper than buying a new $12-20 cable. Not anymore, I donate my other failed cables to a local kids music program.

If you can use an 18′ cable, these are without exception, more reliable than any of the other name brands, I own.

Great cables overall. Received 15 or 20, all passed tester and function perfectly. Great connectors, slightly flimsy wire. 3 uses in, one of the plug ends pushed inside the sheath because jacket was stripped too far for the plastic chuck.

Easily repairable, but I expect this to happen again Not as nice as Talent’s more expensive cables, but for the price, they’re cheaper than the connectors they use.

Some reviewers seem to expect these cables to be perfect. Please. You can’t buy the ends for the price these are, and those connectors are good quality Neutrik style. I’ve bought dozens of these and I have someone in my company inspect them first before putting them into service.

The early batches were iffy soldering jobs, but lately they have been great. I will continue to buy and use these. My biggest complaint? They’re only 18 feet, but that’s OK too. Parts Express Rules!!.

Second pair I’ve bought on STOD, slowly cycling old cables out of my club and small concert systems. First pair has done 2 – 3 gigs a week as Allen & Heath board-to-QSC K12 speaker connectors for a couple of months with no issues, these will replace monitor and mic feeds.

Construction seems solid, connectors fit smoothly, black anodize is intact. Rubber jacket is on the thick side and pliant. Haven’t put them on a scope so I can’t comment on technical signal quality but I don’t notice any noise, line loss or signal degradation.

In general teems to me to be typical Roland – good solid stuff for general use. I don’t expect $10/ft audiophile cable at this price, but for my uses this is a great deal, I’ll buy again.

Bought a pair of these on a “stupid” deal when my recording setup was being noisier than I thought it should and when a generic mic cord I bought on another “stupid deal” failed after about an hours’ use.

The cords worked much better than the generic ones, at least as good as the professional cords I’ve lost somewhere along the line. They seem more durable, too. Used them in a public concert once with no problems.

So the next time they came up on a “stupid deal,” I bought another pair.

Good value but assembly quality not 100%. I purchased 4 and 3 of them had the strain relief sleeve pulled out of the XLR boots and one had the locking pin stuck on the female end. I was able to release the pin by opening up the plug and I pushed the sleeves back into position.

This shouldn’t be necessary on a brand new item – HOWEVER, for the money these are probably better than some unknown brands. The cable quality is good – nice and flexible.

I needed 100 feet of bulk mic cable to build several shorter cables. Buying this cable at this price meant I was getting the cable for about half the price as if I had bought the cable in bulk, plus as a bonus I got a couple of more XLR connectors.

This cable is fairly thick, seems sturdy enough, and the connectors are Rean by Neutrik, so they’re good quality. The soldering job was decent. The cable itself is constructed a bit different than advertised, though.

I think the listing claimed 90% spiral shield coverage. Just from my own subjective visual inspection, I think it’s less than 90%. The shield actually looks a bit thin to me, compared to other cables I’ve used in the past.

However, the two inner conductors are also wrapped in foil (which is common on multi-pair mic snake cables), so the shielding should be more than adequate. In any case, I think this is a good value for what it is, especially compared to other 100′ mic cables on the market.

I like bundle packages. 8 cables, great deal. Rockville brand works great. Package arrived as scheduled and no damage. Shipping time is a bit longer than other places, but for a great deal I do not mind the wait.

Okay so if you are easily frightened by the name brand. calm yourself. Purchased a bunch of these dudes to use in the rehearsal room, they have worked flawlessly. We’ve even carried them to gigs and used them as replacements for the “other guys” brand cables when they go belly up.

For the price? Get over your high fallootin self and buy some, then save some of that extra cheese for the gear you have been drooling over from the band that played before you! They just plain work.

What do good mic cables and screw drivers have in common? You can never have enough! All joking aside I wanted to replace some cables in my studio and picked up a few of these in various lengths to improve some cable management opportunities and clean things up.

Very durable connectors and solid feeling. No noise and sound great. Excellent value I will be buying more.

I have been purchasing Rockville D. J. equipment and hardware from Audiosavings for about 7 years now and there stuff are always what it is in description!!! I would recommend Audiosavings to any and everybody!!! The prices are the best i have ever seen and ill back them up 100% thanks AudioSavings!!!!!.

Cable quality seems OK but the connectors are very cheap and janky. The so-called strain relief inside isn’t even tight enough to secure the cable so that’s totally ineffective. It’s OK for the price as a light duty cable but would be quickly destroyed on a tour or in any demanding live production environment.

For a cost affective cable this is a good one and I recommend it. The connectors fit well and the cable is 22 gauge. I bought 11 of them. I also own many talent dmx 22 gauge cables for Dmx Lightiing.

Yes the cable is probably more prone to kinking after some use but they cost 1/4 of the more expensive heavy rubber cables.

Great connector. The Nickel finish was very good. Solder cups were easy to use. The Mechanical lock was nice, no extra tools needed. Boots were thin and short for a strain relief. Boot Jackets had a good fit even with our thinner jacketed audio wire.

Great Value. Good looking. Easy to install. Positive Electrical connection. Added Shrink Wrap for a better Strain relief.

This cable will pickup hum from other AC powered devices but is a lot less expensive than cables that reject interference (like the excellent Mogami gold studio). These are ok so long as you can route the cable to avoid to avoid interference problems and they don’t need to be physically robust (stepping on them would likely break them).

This XLR cable has performed as well as my Mogami Premium cable. A great, clean sound. No need to spend any more for an XLR microphone cable!

Microphone cable are a bit of a scam so when I was this one, I snapped up 8 of them for $2. 50 each. I don’t care if they work or not, I can fix them easily with a soldering iron and basic skills. And if I want longer ones, I can cannibalize the connectors to make new ones or make a cheap snake.

Hope they don’t see this and raise the prices!.

I was hesitant about buying these cables at first because I thought, “at this price, how good can they be?” I don’t know if they have all the shielding and what not for stage use, but they provide a nice, clean signal for my home recording! Glad I tried them.

I bought mic cords also and they already are not working. I have brand new shure mics and the cords were terrible. I lost my receipts or else I would have sent them back

Reliable

As a mobile recording engineer, I use Livewire Elites or Mogami 2534s on all of my high-end mics and equipment. But when using less expensive dynamic mics, abusive environments or non-critical instrumentation the Livewire Advantage is so much more than adequate.

Heavy duty construction, well shielded and great high quality sound delivery. There’s a night-and-day performance difference between the Advantage and the cheaper Essential cables. I would recommend Livewire Advantage cables anytime for stage or studio applications.

It installed easily and worked exactly as advertised. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

The cable does not work after a few times. I notice that two lines in one connector touches each other. Instead of returning it, I bought a cable of another brand to replace it.

Arrived in great condition, and long enough for me to connect mics from across the room!
