20 Best Xbox Controller For Fortnite (2023 Updated)

This is a 5* pro controller for sure. I play a fighting game called brawlhalla on it and let me tell you what. Switching from elite 2 this is a huge upgrade. The is absolutely no delay , lightning fast response.

Allows me to jump faster, fall quicker , hit faster. Virtually no delay it’s amazing it’s like going from 30fps , to 120fps it’s that noticable. Yes it’s wired but that’s what you want in pro controller honestly.

I’m a few hours into it and it’s a learning curve Because it makes stuff so responsive that if you played with wireless controller you are a bit slow and didn’t even know. But the curve is done and now I have a huge advantage because of this.

So I personally love this controller and there’s so many little features I didn’t mention, rgb light, back paddle, and a extra trigger button beside left bumper and right it’s amazing highly recommend.

I hope it last a long time.

This review has nothing to do with MightyApe. This controller is a bad buy if you have smaller hands. I use the Razer Wolverine tournament edition controller and I bought this new V2 Chroma due to my old controller having drift and the thumbstick getting stuck.

The problem with the V2 Chroma is that the D-pad, thumbsticks and buttons are just too far away from each other and as a result I’m reaching across the entire controller to press buttons. For some dumb reason the start and select buttons are situated in awkward spots too.

The D-pad is just so massive it feels like it takes up 90% of the controller. Not a good buy if you have smaller hands. Using this has made playing games like Apex and CoD impossible for me. I cant hit my shots and movement feels so clunky because every button is just so far away from your thumbs.

It’s so disappointing to spend $250 on a new controller that makes a plat player feel like they are hardstuck in bronze 4, due to the worst placement of thumbsticks, D-pad and buttons on a controller that I have ever used in my 27 years on this earth.

After an hour of using the V2 Chroma, I’ve gone back to using my drifted, stuck thumbstick Worverine TE controller. Like I said this controller will make games completely unplayable for you if you have smaller hands.

Waste of money and now I’ll need to save up another $200+ to buy a new new controller. Nothing to do with MightyApe (they provided a good deal), it has everything to do with the Razer design team whom I assume on the day they designed this controller may have been on mushrooms sitting there looking at their hands and thinking: “Woah dude, did you ever realise that fingers are like 10cm long?” “YOOOOOOOO BROOOOOOO, now that you mention it.

” Absolute spastics.

To make things clear: do not waste your time looking for anything else than official Controller S for original Xbox. This is the device built when Microsoft did invest money into the project. It is high quality an superb ergonomics, but at a relatively very low price.

There is nothing else on the market that matches its quality and price. Do not waste your time with crappy Xbox 360 gamepads that were totally screwed up by design (digital pad not responsive by design fault).

Don’t waste your time hunting for PC gamepads of the same quality. If they exist, you will not be able to get replacement parts like rubber caps. You can easily replace rubber caps on Controller S with 360 caps.

Controller S is the leading gamepad even in 2017. Best price/quality ratio.

OG xbox controller. Works as it should. No issues.. Priced lower than others. Great buy and very happy with it.

The OG Xbox was a great console, but the original controller was a beast. This S Model is much better. If you like the 360 controller (and who wouldn’t) you’ll love this one. The D-pad might be a little better here than on the 360 controller as well.

I prefer the Xbox One controller to my Series X controllers, and the PUBG controller is one of the scared few with textured trigger grips,, which I wanted. This controller was sold to “as is”, and it certainly wasn’t perfect.

The “A” button felt mushy, so I had to take the whole controller apart to replace the internal membrane. From the outside, the controller looked grungier than any of my own which I could not tell from the pictures, and when I took it apart, the controller was absolutely disgusting.

The previous owner did not care for the controller very well, and appears to have had a pet of some kind based on all of the hair that I found. After a lot of q-tips, rubbing alcohol, and some care, it is probably in the best shape in years.

The PUBG controller is excellent, even if I don’t particularly care for its color scheme.

I’ve been using this pad extensively since I purchased it last week. It’s jam packed with features via the Razer software, you can customise the lighting, button sensitivity and of course you can remap the back paddles and extra bumpers! You can also create different profiles for different games which is incredibly useful for swift changes in control schemes.

It’s the first time I’ve spent this much money on a gaming pad and I am not disappointed. Even the box it arrives in doubles as a carry case thanks to the foam inserts. It’s a lightweight model so don’t expect the chunky feeling you get from other pads but it seems durable enough, also, it is a wired model which isn’t a bad thing but make sure you know what you’re buying!.

This controller has an ergonomic design and is made with quality material that has a nice weight to it. The buttons are responsive and the and the joysticks are smooth. It also has four extra buttons that act as the A, B, X, and Y buttons, which is awesome in competitive games like Call of Duty.

You can even reprogram the extra buttons to rearrange their locations. And Best Buy shipped this out very quickly, too, which I was very impressed with! I highly recommended this controller to everyone!.

The cord on this controller is uncomfortably difficult to unplug. Because of this, I went to try an official Microsoft wireless version, but its feel actually paled in comparison to this controller. This controller feels amazing in weight and texture/grip.

I owned it for a while but only got around to using it within the last month or so when I finally got GamePass (the thing I initially bought this controller for). However, just like my PowerA controller for Switch before it, once I started using the controller it started having game-breaking issues after just a month of use.

After much testing and finally determining the controller was the issue, I discovered the A and LB buttons were somehow being registered at the same time whenever I hit “a. ” This made the game I was playing unplayable as I could not jump or even talk to someone to leave an area.

Previously, my Switch wired PowerA controller developed immense stick drift after a month of use. That’s 2 out of 2 for misses. But I will say this: I contacted PowerA support in a burst of disappointment and frustration and was surprised at how friendly, simple, and helpful they were.

They are sending me a new controller after I explained the issue. I really hope this new one lasts. Their support has definitely made me optimistic about their products again. Let’s hope their product can finally live up to their staff.

Bought this controller after the thumbstick on my elite v2 controller started getting wonky and not registering inputs. At first glance this controller seemed like a decent replacement, had back paddles, lockable “hair” triggers, raised thumbsticks, and overall the same feel as a standard Xbox controller.

However, the experience was not as good as the elite V2 controller. One major problem in games such as warzone is that the short reset or “hair” triggers only work for shooting. As soon as you jump in a vehicle and smash the gas, it won’t go anywhere because it thinks your only pressing the gas a quarter of the way down.

I looked on the settings and there is nothing that I found to change this so that a press on it in this setting is 100 percent depressed. It’s fine to say just lock and unlock them when needed, but in fast paced games this is not intuitive at all, especially while your trying to dodge gunfire and make a quick escape.

My next issue is with the paddles. For 1, they seem like they are way to close together and it’s hard to hit the right one. I’m not going to beat up on it to hard for that because I had the same issue with the elite v2.

I don’t like to have fingers on every paddle as it’s not comfortable to me and I use 1 finger on each side to try and tap the paddles and in this configuration it doesn’t work well. The biggest issue with the paddles though is the where they attach.

It is way to easy to hit the back paddle where it attaches on the controller. I have accidentally mele’d in the middle of a fire fight due to this which got me melted like an ice cube in August more times then I can count now.

I have since removed that paddle and just pray I don’t have to mele anyone. Obviously everyone’s hands are different and this may not effect everyone the same. That said, I NEVER had that issue with the Xbox elite v2.

The build quality seems decent and haven’t really had any issues with it in that respect, but overall I’m not happy with the controller as I can’t really use the features I bought it for. My wife ordered me a scuf and the paddles look like they may be in a spot where they are easier to use.

We shall see.

I really wanted this controller to work right. I was excited to find it on sale. The first time I used the controller it was in a FPS game and as soon as I loaded into the lobby my character was spinning around because there was drift in the right stick.

It didn’t seem to effect in game play so I decided to use it. Then I tried using the paddles. Once they were mapped the buttons took longer to use which made them useless. Next I tried the adjustable triggers.

They would not work on the setting that required less pull on them. On the middle setting they would only work sometimes. So that was another feature that didn’t work. And now the “X” button is not working right.

And I’m not a button masher and have controllers that I’ve had a lot longer and work fine. So if you do buy this controller it is well worth it to buy the extended warranty.

I’ve been using my Pro X controller for a few days now, and I’m satisfied overall, but I was really hoping for something to fully take the place of my failing Elite II controller, and I have to say that this isn’t it.

There are definitely some nice features, like the changeable weights for the handles (makes a much bigger difference than I expected), customizable light colors for the right thumb stick, and variable vibration rates for each hand.

Unfortunately, it also falls short in a lot more areas than those it excels in. First, the programmable buttons on the grips. The smaller, higher button works great. It’s located where my fingers naturally fall, and it’s not cumbersome to use them.

No complaints there. But the larger, lower buttons are another matter. Compared to the very easy-to-press paddles of the Elite controller, the Pro X buttons require a much more effortful squeeze with purposely placed fingers.

Not at all feasible for a button you might need to press with precision. Maybe useful for navigating menus, but you won’t be making use of it during tense gameplay moments. But, if you’re like my wife, who hates the Elite paddles because she holds her controller in a way that makes her prone to pressing them accidentally, maybe that’s not a drawback for you.

Second, the button to switch controller profiles is in a spot on the back of the controller that is entirely too easy to hit. Nothing worse than having a button suddenly and unexpectedly serving a different purpose right when you need it.

Third, there is not a way to adjust the range of the trigger pull. You CAN customize the activation point and sensitivity of the trigger in the settings app, but you can’t shorten the physical range of the trigger pull the way you can with the sliders on the Elite.

That’s not a flaw with the Pro X controller of course, it’s not as though they ever pretended otherwise. But it’s a feature that the Elite has which the Pro X lacks, and that’s my whole point. Fourth, the accessories included with the controller include spacers which can be placed around the stem of the control sticks which shorten the range of motion in the sticks.

This would be a great inclusion if there was an easy, intuitive way to recalibrate the controller to recognize the shortened range of motion and still give you full responsiveness in the game, but there isn’t.

You will simply not be able to tilt your stick fully in the direction you need. There may be a way to play with the very technical, advanced settings that can be adjusted in the settings app to achieve this, but a simple drop down menu that allows you to note which spacer is in place and makes adjustments automatically is what would be needed for most players, and no such option exists.

Finally, the controller is wired. That’s as advertised, of course, but when the controller falls short in several key areas, it’s much harder to overlook than if it had been the only shortfall of the controller.

This may be the better choice for very high level gamers who can actually make use of the reduced latency of a wired controller and the extremely technical options that can be customized. But for the casual gamer who just wants a high quality, semi-customizable controller with useful extra features, now that the Elite is only $40 more expensive, you’re better off just scraping together the extra $40.

Overall this is a good wired controller simular to the Revolution controllers for the Playstation. As an Xbox gamer I was pleased that Nacon released this controller. The build quality is nice and as with each other Nacon Revolution controller it comes in a carrying case which also has the extra weights (10,14 and 16 grams) and also 2 domed sticks and a few sets extra ALPS in different thicknesses.

These ALPS might be handy if you need to limit your move in certain games like rally WRC if your car reacts to oversensitive. I would have loved to see the extra sets of sticks in different heights as these are really handy for aiming with FPS games as that can really help with the suttle movement required for aiming down site or aiming with a sniper.

The ALPS and joysticks are easily replaced by simply pulling them off, these are not magnetically attached like with an Xbox Elite controller. Keep in mind that the back buttons on the controller can be remapped to anything you want and also the RGB can be customized with Revolution X software.

This sofware can also customize the sensitivity of the sticks and triggers. For the RGB lovers out there Nacon would have probably needed to add more color options for the RGB ring round the right joystick but this is a personal preference.

So I was a little tired of worrying about the charge on my wireless controller, and wanted something to help take the lag out of my gaming (I need all the help I can get!) – I really liked the customization options on this controller, from remapping the buttons, to the rear button layout, to the ability to add different weights to the two sides of the controller to make it feel better and more balanced during play.

Really smart design with simple pop off panels in each palm grip area where included weights snap right into place. Makes the controller feel more premium in my opinion with the added weight. Cord length is sufficient for me (but I’m on a high performance gaming PC) Dolby Atmos and a good set of headphones is a game changer – you hear every detail and can really locate in space where your enemies are! Highly recommend this controller.

Plug and play of course, but the additional software allows for complete functionality and customization. Quality and build feels super solid.

I originally bought this controller as a gift for my brother. He loved it (still does) and it started helping him get better. I then had to get one for myself, and I began feeling a difference in my gameplay as well.

It feels great in your hands, bigger than the standard xbox controller, but that doesn’t mean you need big hands to use it; my hands are very average sized. I play 2-3 nights a week regularly, and a lot more over the summer, with a year passed, i still have not experienced any issues in the slightest.

The cord is long, feels durable, and literally has never once tangled for me. The buttons are very clicky (idk how else to say it) and responsive. And if I did begin to experience drift stick (which I have not after a year) then I can simply replace the analog sticks in seconds.

It’s simply amazing. I recommend it to anyone who plays regularly. I could ramble on for a while about how much I like this controller.
