Best Xbox 360 Baseball Game (2024 Updated)

Looks good, bought it used has a few light marks can’t really call them scratches. Have 2k8 and me and my daughter have been playing that but is just getting to old. Wanted to get the newest I could find for cheap but after some research this seemed like the best bet.

Graphics look good probably not 2017 good but a lot better than 2008. Haven’t had time to really get into it yet but I like that it has a training option for everything.

2k11 isn’t too bad. Some of the animations are weird and ball/strikes can be a bit random on the corners and edges of the zone. Clear balls= strikes and vice versa at times. But I guess that happens in real life as well.

Decent game overall, I’ve owned it for a day and put 3 hours into it already.

If your gaming is into sports then this game is a must buy. Have many freedoms throughout gameplay, hitting and pitching is accurate. Player fatigue is key and managing a team is a must. This game makes you feel you are a manager of a team.

This is all for franchise mode, but there are many different modes. Pick up the game will not be a dissapointment. Ps first baseball game ive played.

I usually don’t write reviews but because most of the reviews for this item are out of place because foolish people choose to leave seller feedback on here, I have decided to offer an honest opinion from someone who has loved baseball and has played baseball video games all his life.

The pitching in this game is amazing–I love it. Hitting on rookie mode is really easy but I was never able to make the switch to the next difficulty level–it was way too hard. Things I found that were bad about the game: 1) The options for Franchise mode seem to be random.

I selected a 5-7-7 playoff format (the standard format) for 2 of my franchise modes and both had 1 game series for each of the rounds in the playoffs–VERY FRUSTRATING. 2) Although you can edit the music preferences, you cannot save them.

So you have to edit the music everytime if you don’t want to hear some of the really bad songs (although there are a lot of good ones). 3) In Franchise mode, I completed my first season at 162 games.

went through free agency. and the next season was 13 games long. Very annoying that I went through all that work and the settings just randomly switched. 4) As said by another reviewer, the stats are random.

Dustin Pedroia, according to the game, hit 32 home runs in 2008 and had a batting average over. 1000. 5) Although the rosters are accurate, the players ratings are not. Why is BJ Upton rated as an 85? Prince Fielder, who hit 50 homeruns, it rated as a 79.

It seems the company rushed this game and didn’t even put in the effort to update the player’s ratings from the year before. 6) In franchise mode, you have the ability to set your lineups but when you actually play in a game and want to put one of your starters on the bench (to rest them because their durability is low), the game does not allow you to change players.

It will continually make you play with the players you have set as your starters and won’t allow anyone to take a day off (i. e. every player plays 162 games unless injured). There are so many more problems with this game but I think I’ve offered enough.

This game is so bad that I have sold it on ebay and have gone back to playing mlb the show on playstation 2 (which is an AWESOME game). If you are not a serious fan of baseball (i. e. a casual fan), this game might be ok for you.

If you are a serious baseball fan and love statistics and having good control over the game, do NOT buy this game. The manufacturer thinks they can package up any garbage and sell it. Unacceptable. I only hope MLB the Show is available on WII next year.

Long time video baseball game fan. long time “the show” fan. and this game I think is better. The thing I really like about 2K9 is the pitching. Instead of selecting a pitch and then hitting a button twice for the pitch meter, you actually use the right analog stick and throw the pitch.

For example, a fast ball is straight back and staight foward, but if you bring it back and then foward to the left, it throws a circle change because it is the direction for the pitch. It is really unique.

You can also change settings to classic pitching if you don’t enjoy this style, but you’ll love it. Also, the camera angle for pitching is from the pitcher instead of the batter. So you are actually looking from the mound and depending on the batter the strike zone is really big, or really small.

The game gives you live sports scores while you play if you’re on xbox live, and can be enabled to update rosters everytime you load a game. Both really nice features. The graphics and gameplay are really smooth and look amazing.

Only compliant on the game is that there a couple gliches that they will hopefully work out next year. One is that sometimes the first baseman steps off the bag when he catches the ball and the runner is safe, you’ll never know it happens cuz it looks exaclty the same as an out.

The other thing is if it’s not a force out, the defensive player almost never gets the tag on the runner. I’m halfway through a season and i’ve only got an out once with a tag. It’s really aggrevating, but how nice the pitching and batting are really makes up for it.

Worth buying, great baseball game!.

I bought MLB 2K9 the other day, after watching a video on Youtube, which showed the graphics as so good, it was hard to tell if it was a game or not. The video “claimed” to be Wii Gameplay video. I’d been wanting a new baseball game, but didn’t want one with lousy graphics, so after watching those videos, I figured 2K9 was perfect, since my dad and I loved 2K6.

My dad gave me the money I needed, and I bought it. I put it in my Wii the second I got home, and to my shock, the graphics were absolutely horrible. The gameplay wasn’t much better, and the player customation lame and kinda appalling.

I wanted to return it, but since I’ve already opened it, I can’t. My dad and I played 2 player last night, and it wouldn’t let us choose our pitcher or lineup, and it would only let us throw a fastball.

Over and over again. Today I asked my dad if he wanted to play again, and he said “Yeah, but let’s play 2K6 instead. It’s better. ” which is actually true. Even the graphics are better, and it came out several years ago.

If you’re looking for a fun, realistic baseball game, I’d reccomend buying either 2K6 or The Bigs. Or even one of the MLB Power Pros games, cause even though they aren’t very realistic, (no legs, noses, mouths, etc.

This is 2k’s last MLB game for PC. The gameplay is still better 12 years later than the only other baseball game you can get on PC which is R. B. I. Baseball that hasn’t been good since the NES days.

They removed the classic batting and pitching settings in the PC version but once you get the hang of using the sticks it’s fine. This is also the first year of MyPlayer so you can enjoy Franchise and controlling the whole team or just your player.

As expected, the Xbox 360 version of Major League Baseball 2K6 flaunts nicer visuals and livelier audio than either of the versions of the game that are available for the PlayStation 2 and the older Xbox.

It also benefits from a slightly better variety of play animations and cutaways. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the jump to the 360 hasn’t done much overall to spice up the game’s halfhearted presentation.

Many player faces are still inaccurate, the same replays and play animations still recur frequently, and, although the animation is more fluid in this version, the players still look a little jittery while they’re running.

To further complicate matters, the Xbox 360 game also suffers from a greater frequency of minor bugs and AI quirks than its so-called “last-generation” counterparts do. None of these rough edges are deal breakers on their own, but, taken together, they conspire to severely drag down what is otherwise a deep and feature-rich baseball sim.

Without a doubt, the graphics put the high-resolution capabilities of the 360 hardware to good use, at least in the technical sense. The player and stadium models are heavily detailed and everything has a sharp, vibrant look.

Scoreboards and signs behind the outfield, which automatically update with line scores and dynamic advertisements, are perfectly legible from behind the plate. Finer details–such as skin tones, facial features, clothing, dirt, and turf–look more textured in the Xbox 360 version, as contrasted with the comparatively muted details found in the versions available for the PS2 and the original Xbox.

Player faces look disturbingly human, although, for every face that actually matches a real player’s, there’s another that’s completely wrong. On the one hand, Pedro Martinez and Alex Rodriguez look like the guys you see on TV every couple of days.

On the other hand, Manny Ramirez doesn’t have his knotty dreds and Ichiro Suzuki looks like he’s an Italian-American. The crowd in the 360 game is especially impressive. Every last spectator, from the fans behind the plate to those in the upper deck, is a complete 3D model, which is quite the improvement over the cardboard cutouts and low-poly people normally found in the seats in most sports video games.

Individual spectators stand up, wave, and fidget in their seats. In certain views, you’ll notice pizza and beverage vendors walking the concourses. After a home run, the cutaway viewpoint will show the person who caught the ball celebrating their catch.

It’s also very cute how spectators fight over foul balls that are hit into the stands. When compared side by side with the PS2 and original Xbox versions, the Xbox 360 version looks smoother in motion and has a wider variety of play animations and cutaways.

Players still look a little jittery when they run, but individual plays are silky smooth. On the whole, the variety of different plays is good. Routine throws from the infield to first all look the same, but there are plenty of different animations for double plays, outfield catches, and non-routine plays.

It really is like the difference between night and day when you see how many different shoestring catches and athletic grabs happen in this version of the game compared to the others. There are also more instant replays, crowd cutaways, and player-reaction shots to see in the Xbox 360 game.

MBL 2k7 is a great baseball game that does almost everything right. Alot of ppl complain about the computer robbing you of homeruns, its too hard to steal bases ect. but with the adjustable sliders you can make the game play anyway that you want it.

Just go in and slow down the outfield runners speed or speed up you players baserunning speed and so on. ( Try these settings at the games website forums then tweak it too your liking. http://2ksports.

com/forums/showthread. php?t=108883&page=26 ) – also some ppl complain about the swing stick, you can change that too so that you just press (A) button to swing. The game is completely customizable so before players knock the game they should go in and try to make it play the way they want.

Overall the graphics are nice even though some players dont look spot, the wind blown cloth effect is a bit over the top and the audio for the anouncers can repeat too often the gameplay is simply too good to knock it for these small things.

There is alot of depth with the franchise mode, season, a homerun derby and a GM mode too keep you busy. You can even create players for your team so you can update the game for current team lineups.

Overall I highly recommend that people looking for a inexpensive baseball game try MLB 2k7. Just take the time to learn about the sliders and make the adjustments and you will be happy. I give it a 9 out of 10.

To start off I do like this game a lot. It has graphics that are pleasing to the eye. The fans actually look like people and not little splotches of color lol. The players look what they look like in real life for the most part.

The commentary gets a little annoying after a while but you can turn that off in options lol. I like the new pitching system. Makes it a little easier to pitch and control where you want the ball to go.

Batting and running systems tho need some work. I mean yes the games are a little more realistic in scoring and all instead of like blowing your opponent out of the water like some games or previous versions of this game.

But just the controls for batting are just like before a little confusing and not very accurate. When having a runner on second base or first and you infield ground out your guys sometimes (mainly on second) won’t move up and stay on their original bases.

Fielding is pretty good, once in a while they will be their going for the catch. Then all of a sudden they move in a different direction or stop. But as long as you are paying attention and not just letting the CPU do most of the work it is not bad at all.

But the game overall is a lot of fun, enjoying the Franchise mode a lot. Worth the money for the most part and a huge improvement from MLB 2K8!.

Well first off I want you to know that I have more than enough time to learn and play the 2K10 Baseball game, I’m young and in a nursing home, by young I mean early 50’s. I’m in here to pass and not to compatible with the other residents mainly because of the age difference.

But I’m really bored and need things to help me get by in here before I go crazy and 2K10 Baseball is just the thing, I can actually set up my team and play an entire baseball season. I thought that I would have to purchase newer games of this, but I’m fine with it just as it is.

graphics are great and the game does take some time to get use to and play, but once you master offence and diffence and pitching. Its well worth learning. I give this game 5/5 There’s nothing like it when it comes to Baseball.

Will 2K ever top 2k7 in playability and Online gameplay? Not this year they wont. Pros: The new batter interface is well done,(if not too far away) The graphics look amazing. The announcers have a lot of stats that they bring up about the players.

Pitching is a lot cleaner this year and easier to hit marks. My player mode is fun. Cons: When you play an online game, there’s no flow or appeal to it, there’s no replays no walk ups, even when you hit a foul ball or miss the 3rd strike the ball automatically goes back to the pitcher and hes magically ready to throw again.

There’s no charm to playing a game online. No Lobby. Several times during the “my player mode” the audio dropped out. All I could hear was planes flying over, and traffic sounds. LAME. Online was down 2 days in a row.

Pretty unheard of if you ask me. It’s better than 2k8 and 2k9,,, but that’s not saying much. Still a loooong way to go 2K. Just give up the license already before you guys ruin baseball for another 10 years.

This game is great and I really enjoy it. I never get tired of going nine innings in this game. Some things I like about it: the commentary is good, I like the pitching once you get used to it, but the thing I like best is all the stats! The stats on each player, stadium, etc.

is so in depth I couldn’t believe they took the time to do it for each one. It’s like watching tv when they bring up their hitting hot spots and what pitches they like and where they hit/pitch it. Some things I don’t like: I haven’t used the mode where you play the baserunner but I probably should cause controlling multiple baseruners can be a pain, although I’m getting used to it.

One thing that’s happened multiple times is if I have 0 or 1 out and a fast runner on first I’ll steal a base to prevent a double play and get them into scoring position, of course. If I hit it to short, (what I was afraid of) the runner is still off second and they throw and tag him and then to first for the d.

p. anyways. I tried to make him go back to 2nd, but it hasn’t worked. The auto throw isn’t the best. But the trivia and fan letters are nice. I couldn’t get franchise to work on my xbox, just the season, but it’s no big deal, my xbox doesn’t work great anyways.

Ummm. basically this is a great game and it’s very addicting. I would suggest a lot of exhibition games to get used to everything and to look all around your options in season mode cause there’s plenty to do.

Also, the draft was easy. I got an all-star lineup and there were still great players in free agency. Most teams are right at salary cap, though, so can’t complain. I would also recommend using the right thumbstick rather than “a” to hit.

All I hit were grounders with “a”, even if I guessed where the pitch was going. The stick makes power and contact swings more realistic I guess and better to strategize what you want. It can be sensitive and swing when you don’t want, but overall it’s better I think.

Fielding is a little overdramatic. There’s too many diving stops and catches, and catches over the fence in foul ground. Not too many home run robs, but it gets frustrating when a lot of foul balls and hard liners turn into outs, but it makes it exciting, also.

The music on the game is definitely not my type, a lot of weird crap, but maybe everyone else will like it, and you can turn it off, so no big deal. The “Inside Edge” reports you can buy are great. I don’t always use everything on them, but it’s a sweet option.

Overall, great game and TONS of fun. I’ll be playing this one for years. All these little annoying things that I mentioned make you get into the game that much more and don’t detract from the gameplay.

Let me start by saying that I have been a huge fan of the 2K Sports games since they first appeared on the Sgea Dreamcast. MLB 2K8 boasts incredible visuals and sound, awesome options, and an unfortunately complicated play.

Visuals: Ever been to a real ballgame, or even seen a professional telecast on your television, that’s what MLB 2K8 looks like!!! The on-field players are crisp and clear in every respect, the spectators are all 3D and quite active – just like real game audiences.

The field, stadiums, and surrounding environment were spectacular sights indeed. The only issue I had with the visuals, and this is being rather nit-picky, is that several audience members within a small area would be perfoming the exact same moves, dressed the exact same way, at the same exact times.

A little more random-ness would have been nice here. Sound: The stadium PA, spectator, in-game sounds were right on. The game allows for you to customize the stadium music if you wish, but has some appropriate material on-hand as a default.

The one thing I thought should have been done better was that random localized words thrown into the audience sounds. For example. in Saint Louis, we are very familiar with the Mississippi River and the Arch (obviously).

These words, or ones like them, are inserted into each stadium’s audience tracks to make it feel more real or familiar. Anyone paying attention will notice this and most will find it annoying at best.

Options: All of the usual options are in this one. quick play, season, VIP, Home Run Derby, etc. Play the way you like, because 2K Sports thought of you when making this title. My main issue with the options may be 1) There may just be too many options – confusing many, or 2) Although good intentions were meant, batting and pitching have become steadily more difficult – making playing a simple game of baseball, as difficult as (or maybe more than), the real thing.

It took me quite a while to learn the pitching system, and I am still learning how to bat well enough to hit enough balls to register RBI’s. Part of the issue is me – I got used to the 2K5 version (not compatible to the XBOX 360 which I now own), and part of it is 2K Sports for over-tinkering with the system.

One last note, there is what is called the “classic” play style option. This is supposed to allow those used to the older system to continue playing in the style to which they are accustomed – not exactly.

I cannot bat the same way I did for the 2K5 version. Yes, the one-button control is there, but I am luck to hit past the infield – a problem not encountere in the 2K5 version. So, if you liked the old batting system, you are about to get the shcok of your life.

Enough said about that. In all, MLB 2K8 is a solid game with a few minor glitches that prevent a gamer from truly enjoying the simplistic game of baseball. And 2K Sports owns the exclusive rights to the MLB license until 2012.

This game is an arcade baseball game, but it is not so ridiculous as to be the “NFL Blitz” of baseball games. However, it’s no “MLB: The Show” by any stretch of the imagination. But it finds a nice balance in between the two.

Yes, there are things like amazing catches and turbo, but they serve to add strategy and that “extra something” to the game rather than ruin it. This game has a lot of cool modes. The Become a Legend mode has you create a player that enters the Bigs with your team of choice.

You then play other teams, along with specific challenges that can upgrade your player skills. One neat thing about playing other teams is that you can steal a teams player when you beat them. So if your team of choice has a bad second baseman, play the Red Sox and steal Dustin Pedroia.

Bad catcher? Steal Joe Mauer from Minnesota. You can steal one player from each team you beat, but you can only use up to 3 stolen players in one game. This prevents your team from becoming TOO good, which lets the games still be challenging, especially at the end.

There is season mode if you to take one team and play through the 162-game grind. HomeRun Pinball lets you pick any player and smash baseballs into cars, sings, windows, and everything else to rack up points.

There’s also the standard Play Now mode and the ability to play online. Another interesting mode is Pickup Game. If you’ve played NFL Street 1 or 2, you will know how this works. Basically you get to pick randomly selected players to be on your team in game.

But unlike NFL Street, where you can select from a large pool of players for all positions, there are only two choices for each position. And whoever you pick, you opponent automatically gets the other player (and vice versa).

Usually one is an All Star caliber player and the other is not as good (ie at left field you might get a choice between Carl Crawford and Juan Pierre). It adds an element of strategy to picking your teams and usually ensures that overall, both teams are pretty even.

Overall, this game is a lot of fun. It’s really perfect for someone who enjoys baseball but doesn’t like the slower pace of the sims like MLB 2K. The game has a fast pace and is a blast to play with a friend, in either competitive or co-op mode.

I would recommend it to arcade sports fans and baseball fans alike.

I’ll start off by saying that I’m a huge fan of The Bigs. It’s such a fun game with a ton of replay value, but was also, at times, extremely frustrating and challenging (I always play in super hard mode).

Same goes for The Bigs 2. But whats a game without frustrations and challenges? It’s pretty much a jazzed up version of The Bigs, with loads of additions & changes. This review is aimed more towards those who’ve played The Bigs, but it’s helpful for everyone.

There’s now a Wheelhouse in the strike zone of every batter which serves as a good risk/reward. If you pitch it into the WH and the batter makes good contact, it’s an automatic base hit. If you throw a strike in the batter’s WH without the batter hitting it foul, the WH shrinks and you also get extra turbo opposed to just throwing a regular strike.

They also added a Big Slam, similar to the Big Blast, only the Big Slam is a 4-pitch rapid fire power up. This means you have 4 pitches to load the bases and blast a grand slam. If you have 1 runner on base, then you have 2 pitches to hit basehits and 2 pitches to hit a homerun.

It’s a pretty sweet addition, especially if you’re behind. They still have the Big Heat power up, only this time you get 25K Big Play points for every strike and 25K for a Big Heat strikeout, so if you throw 3 strikes with no foul balls and get a strikeout, you end up nearly getting all of your Big Play points back.

There’s also no more stealing Big Play points from your opponent when using a Big Heat power up, which isn’t really a big deal at all IMO. You need 100K Big Play points to use a Big Play power up and if you use a Big Blast power up, it’s a guaranteed homer with any contact.

Another addition is instead of being allowed a max. of 5 stars for power, contact, glove, and speed, you can get your player up to Legendary status in any or all categories. If you’re in the field and possess a Legendary glove, you can perform Legendary catches by successfully pulling off a certain button mini-game, depending on where the catch is in the field.

If you successfully perform a Legendary catch, you receive 20K Big Play points. They changed the ‘Rookie Challenge’ mode to ‘Become A Legend’ mode. Instead of starting in the Major Leagues as a rookie and working your way up, you start in the Mexican League because you got injured and have to work your way back up.

They also added a Season mode, which you can play a full MLB season with any team. They also messed around with the set difficulty. Instead of choosing just one difficulty at the start before you create your player and becoming stuck with that one difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard, Super Hard), you get the option to change the difficulty at any time during the season.

Trust me, Super Hard can get beyond frustrating, especially when you’re on the mound (You’ll know what I’m talkin’ about, hope you have good timing). Theyve also added some new locations for Homerun Pinball, way better than just Times Square which got kind of boring.

If youve never played The Bigs 1 or 2, Id recommend skipping the first and going right to the second, but that’s your choice. The Bigs 2 is a really fun game; arcade baseball at its best. The replay value is relatively high since not one game is ever the same and you could play either mode with every team.

Pick this game up for a good price here at good ol eBay and I guarantee you itll be a good addition to your collection. Id rate it a solid 9/10.

This is a great, entertaining baseball game for those who care expert gamers and also for the challenged gamer. It’s easy to learn with minimal practice time. GRAPHICS Graphics are on par with the wii and leave nothing to be desired for what can be done on the system.

GAMEPLAY Gameplay is simple and intuitive. Time doesn’t need to be spent reading the manual for an hour on the technicalities of the game. In camparison to MLB series games, this has a much easier learning curve.

The motion controls are fun and are used wisely. FUN This is the 1st baseball game that is as much fun to pitch as it is to bat. It’s the best game when playing against other players. Faking out the AI with pitches isn’t quite as rewarding nor fair (in my mind.

) The arcade visuals and power-turbo modes are a lot of fun and keep things fast-paced and interesting.

I purchased these game(s) as a birthday gift for my grandson. I wanted something age appropriate; he is only 10 years old. He loves the games and can play without much difficulty.

Bought it for the grand kids. It can be used to keep them busy. It also gets them up and moving. We use it on our raining days when the kids can not get out to play. It is not as good as the game on Wii sports but they like it.

Seller was good. Game is fun to play for me and my kid. Purchase was based on price and gameplay. Overall selle experience was good and I would not hesitate to patronize the seller again.

This game is alot of fun. Not sure why they gave bad reviews for repitition. Its a mechwarrior mobile suit style game. Pilot a mecha beast and blow stuff up. Satisfying explosions alot of guns to choose from.

Story is short so try and go back and repeat chapters to find unlockables etc to get the full effect out of it. You can rig your mech many ways to sniper with longrange tracking missiles to Sheild and mellee with a shoulder pack for anything trying to get away.

Two machine gun weilding shot gun totin rocket lauchine gattling gun brimming with a anti missile system all at the same time. Legs are hover, quad or bipedal. up to 4 weapons at a time. Back packs add the extra features like self repair, extra power, amo, stunner, extra hover jets, anti missile etc.

In a world of saturated FPS heavy hitters, what’s truly left out there for variety; providing a sense of freshness? Well, I guess this will do. Starting off, you’re basically playing a FPS, but get a better sense that you’re actually piloting a massive mech.

Thankfully unlike the Armored Core series, these mechs have a “heaftier” feel than the lighter ballet mechs of other series. You pilot these mechs called “Wanzers”. really? Wanzers, I’m pretty sure that’s what I called alot of fanboy nerds back in the day, but oh well.

The missions are varied, but still have the same feel. The on-foot missions are pretty basic, and the controls seem disconnected and wanky (wanzers huh, I can say wanky). But these do one thing well.

They make you wish you were back in your mech kicking ass again. The variety of parting out your mech may seem like an awesome option, but can excess be, well excess? Yes! Hey game developers. options are great, but overload the player and we lose interest.

I’d much rather get a fully destructible environment, or less choppy graphics and views. Seriously; back into a tree and you’re flying blind. The storyline at least is easy to follow, unlike the “who gives a S**T” storyline of the Armored Core series.

Overall not bad for the first stab from this series departure from a strategy platform, but there’s still much room to grow. Developers, pay attention: Destructible environments, space battle component (hello Halo Reach), more character development, and maybe something like Fallout 3 exploration and commerce?? I’m giving this one a 6 out of 10.

Worth a pre-owned buy, and maybe if DLC creates some “must keep” game play, then you should enjoy this one.

Changing a genre of a series is a big step, and the new Front Mission is no exception. Unfortunately, it’s not a step in the best direction. I guess Square Enix decided to jump on the third-person shooter bandwagon, which is kind of disappointing.

They took what made the series unique and replaced it with similarities of other Mech games, as you’ll see below. That’s not to say it isn’t decent though. So what’s good about the game? The controls are fluid and responsive, as is the camera.

Wanzer battles are fast paced, and I admit it’s satisfying to smash/blow your opponent into pieces. Graphics are nice, though the environment isn’t as sharp. Now onto the cons. The characters in this game are bland.

In the previous Front Mission games, I didn’t mind watching the cut scenes and reading dialogue, whereas in Evolved I skipped most of the scenes because of lack of interest. At times the game is just too easy, since ammo and repair kits lie around everywhere plus avoiding hits for a short time replenishes the health of your torso.

Also the game can be beat in only 8-9 hours. But the human stages are what really hurt the game. The controls are slightly stiff here, with movement feeling clumsy. The game play becomes boring and tedious, and you’ll be wishing to get out of the stage ASAP.

Then there are collision problems: if you run into a wall or another solid object against a small corner, the camera angle gets messed up, and you’ll find yourself wiggling the control stick to free the character.

I know this may irritate some people, but I have to be honest: the game plays like Armored Core on the Wanzer stages (and I do like AC). The game play is almost the exact style, with only a few small differences, such as different parts being able to be destroyed and crates of ammo and repair kits lying around.

It works alright, but the similarities rob the game of originality. Newcomers to Front Mission who like Mechs and players of third person shooters will probably enjoy this, but fans of the previous series need to rent this before buying.

The Big’s is the first official MLB (major league baseball) title for the Nintendo Wii. It was released in the summer of 2007. I am a huge fan of Wii Sports! I spend at least 15 minutes a day doing batting practice on this game.

When I saw that MLB was putting out a Wii baseball game I was excited! I was gambling that MLB would not put their title on a sub-par game. I was a bit surprised at the game when it came out. You get the option of pitching, fielding (you cannot do this in Wii Sports) and of course hitting.

You also have the ability to actually field the ball, run the bases (pump the remote and steer with the nunchuk), and try to pick people off on the bases. All these options, surely the game cannot be bad! I was wrong.

🙁 The “tutorial” mode was really hard. First up was pitching. You have many different types of pitches to choose from. However, you have to have your remote and nunchuk together at all times. Then you press the “z” button on the ‘chuk, twist the remote certain way’s, and oh ya do a throwing motion.

Nothing like trying to master 3-5 different things to kill the idea of a game. 😛 Batting was a bit easier to do. However, having the stupid ‘chuk tied to the bat made it feel crappy and hard. I have spent hours doing a full batter’s swing on Wii sports and now I’m forced to to little wrist flick’s to do a motion.

😛 🙁 Very bad form. Running was fun, fielding was difficult to get the hang of, and overall the game felt clunky to play. I decided to have some friends over and we all tried the homerun hitting contest.

You get to pick your team (Any National or American League team!) and then your player for the contest. Again it was tough to do because of the nunchuk. We eventually stopped playing and put back in Wii Sports to prove who was king of the homerun derby.

I was happy with a couple of things, frustrated by others, and surprised about one thing: Happy: Very current team lineups! Ability to pick your player on the team. Fielding ability. Frustrated: PITCHING! 🙁 Fielding Hitting (Wii Sports trained me well I guess) Surprised: Current Rock and Roll music during the homerun hitting derby! I just purchased this game and at first really did not like it. Batting was different from Wii sports, fielding seemed difficult, and it seemed like the computer just crushed me when I pitched to them.

However, after going through the tutorial and playing a ton with a couple friends we decided this is quite possibly one of the best baseball games we have ever played. Hitting: Once you figure out the “touch” with the nunchuck, hitting is excellent.

With a good contact hitter (eg: Ichiro, GO M’S!!!) and a standard swing, once you get your timing down you can hit it to any part of the field. Just aim a direction with the nunchuck and swing at the right time and it should work.

Pointing upwards with it results in a fly ball while pointing down with the nunchuck will cause grouders. Hold A and point upwards to swing for the fences. Pitching: With pitching, there are 9 total pitches, and each pitcher has a selection of 2-4 of them, depending on their real-life arsenal of pitches, and their relative skill with them.

To pitch you hold down the button for the pitch you want and swing/twist the remote the direction required for the pitch. Releasing the pitch it the “white zone” of the pitch meter (it is pretty much like the swing meter for most golf games) will result in a perfect pitch that has more speed or break, depending on the pitch.

Releasing too soon or too late will result in the pitch location showing on the batter’s hitting box, making it easy for them to see if its a ball or strike and where it is going to be in the strike zone.

It seems unweildy a bit at first, but once again, when you get your timing down it is fluid and fun. Plus, every time you hit a particular pitch off of someone, say their curveball, that pitch will lose stamina.

If you get the pitch’s stamina down to zero, then that pitcher no longer can throw that pitch. Another thing that is awesome is pitches don’t lose stamina unless they are being hit, so if your pitcher has been lights out for 7 innings, odds are most of his pitches still have plenty of stamina in them and you have a good chance to go for a complete game.

Fielding: Fielding is the hardest part of the game to get used to. Drumming the remote while directing your fielder makes him run faster in any direction. Pushing the d-pad on the remote or holding A and flicking a direction can throw the ball to a base.

I prefer the d-pad method, but I like that it has an option. When you don’t have the ball, holding A and flicking in a direction can cause a dive (left, right, or down for forwards) or if you flick upwards your guy will jump up for a ball.

It takes a lot of practice to get used to, but once you rob someone of a game winning home run, it is completely worth it. Other: Another addition to the game is the Big Play meter. Build up 10000 points from hitting, pitching, and defense, and your team gets a “big play” while hitting or pitching.

When hitting, it results in Power Mode where any contact is a homerun if you have the timing down. In pitching, it results in Big Heat, where all the pitches get full stamina and power, and any strikes you throw that at bat will still your opponents points from their big play meter.

All in all a great game, full rosters, create-a-character, and fun, realistic gameplay where the over-the-top elements just add to the game. Wait until your first showdown with a catcher at the plate and see if you’re not having fun.

This is definately a good game with the right intentions but some poor execution. Once you get the hang of the pitching controls it is quite fun. same for batting. Where the game falls short is in its feilding controls.

I read about this prior to buying the game and must confirm that those reports are true. When feilding, 9/10 times the player who feilded the ball will not throw to the base you intend. In games like Mario Super Sluggers, all one has to do is simply point the Wii remote to the direction of the intended base.

In this game, the same rules apply except you must press A to throw. This would be fine if The Bigs feilding wasn’t so slow and clunky. You point to 1st and it throws to 3rd or home most of the time.

very frustrating. If it wasn’t for the batting and pitching I would not recommend this game. Another downside to the game is that there is no season mode. Instead, there is a career mode where you create and customize your own rookie and are taken through a series or games and other challenges.

It’s not bad. the customization options could be a little more robust. All in all, I’d say this game ranks from average to good.

I mainly bought this because it was the best price for Hitman Absolution but it was a bonus getting two more games with it. Hitman Absolution is a good game, I used to have Hitman 2 on PS2 and wanted another Hitman game.

This one has better graphics and is kinda hard, but I enjoyed the storyline and the gameplay. I used to also have a Turok game on an older system so was excited to also get that. This game is pretty hard and I don’t care for the controls at all.

The graphics aren’t that great either. I haven’t tried the soccer game. But again I just mainly got this bundle for Hitman.

As a fan of the previous Hitman game collection this game was a must buy (and a bargain!) It does differ in regard to the newly added “Instinct Mode” whereby you can slow down time/more effectively blend into your surroundings with your disguise which I believe is a positive for the game.

There’s also the new feature of ‘create a contract’ where you can choose a level and choose the weapons/criteria/targets for the level making the game endless in terms of the possible missions and playing styles.

Adding to this is the online function of taking part in competitions either created by yourself or by others online where you are ranked on a national/global table with the score you achieved. Points accumulated leads to a choice of weapon upgrades and weapon purchases available for use in the ‘create a contract’ mode.

The story mode itself is very interesting and exciting for fans of the Hitman series as it details a fallout between the Agency and 47 and offers many detailed and exciting levels that can be played with the usual different choices on how to complete them.

So it’s really your choice if you want to complete objectives in order to be a silent assassin or to go in all guns blazing, or a little mix of both. Achievements are unlocked for completing different actions within each level that can be finding hidden items/using different disguises/completing your objectives in a specific manner which all add to the fact that each level offers numerous enjoyable plays.

Unlike previous Hitman games you do not have a direct choice of choosing your weapons prior to each mission but this is not a major problem thanks to the many different weapons available in each mission! Overall review 4/5 Stars – definitely worth a try for any fan of the series!.

This game takes from the old hitman games and adds current gen graphics and smoother and slicker controls, which makes it both more visually appealing than previous installments (most are over a decade old and can look dated) and more user friendly and refined in relation to the controls.

The quicksave function has been scrapped and replaced for a checkpoint function, which can be a tad frustrating if you have made progress through a level and get caught, you will have to retrace your steps if you are after a perfect level run.

The introduction of challenges makes each level immensely replayable, giving you completion bonuses for performing each of the stealth kills and accidental kills per level. There is also bonuses for disguising as all the available characters on each level, which can be an interesting and rewarding experience.

If you are already a fan of the Hitman games, you are more than likely going to enjoy this installment. If you have never played before, this is one of the easier ones to get into, so would be a fantastic introduction to the series.

Bottom line, great game at a great price. If you are bored of the generic FPS and Sports titles churned out every year, give this stealth/action title with a long prestigious pedigree a shot.

I have played the games before and they are great. But I just bought an Xbox One and I wanted a good baseball game for it. I thought that all 360 games were usable on Xbox One. Lesson learned: Do your research before you buy!.

Great price two games for the value of one. I always love playing the 2k series good gameplay. If your a fan of the previous games this one wont disappoint.

Anarchy Reigns is one of PlatinumGames’ best original work. A sequel to Madworld, the game play style hasn’t changed much, It’s basically Power Stone with some wide open areas that includes a scoring system like Dino Crisis 2.

Game is a fun beat-em up. Not the most balanced of gameplay, but an engaging distraction on it’s own. Ultimately, it is let down by lack of offline multiplayer.

Another great game by Platinum. The only down side is the controls can get tedious sometimes, the story is a little boring but the acting is entertaining but the worst thing about this game is that you can’t play two player, you can only play co-op online with other players! I only got this game because of Bayonetta and it was $10 so I can’t complain.

Game Play As everyone knows, the game play is the most important factor in sports games. I can say that Midway succeeded in this aspect for Blitz. The game is a little more realistic than say Blitz 02 or 03.

However, that isn’t saying much. This game seems like the Blitz of old, NFL Street, and Madden into one. The only similar trait in this with Madden is that there are a large selection of plays. There are also two timeouts per half for each team.

The time also stops and goes like how it does in Madden. A new feature during the game is clash mode, which sounds confusing, but after reading over it in the instruction booklet, you will be fine. Of course, seeing bones snap, actually being able to participate in a brawl that will last about 20 seconds, and having your trainer give your injured player steroids can be fun as well.

You will have fun while playing, and Midway certainly delivered in the game play aspect. Game Play Score: 9/10 Graphics The graphics are good for every game on the XBOX 360. These are pretty good, but nothing at all that will blow you away.

Graphics Score: 6/10 Story Mode The story mode is pretty good. There is an actual storyline that you are in. It is somewhat basic, but a creative idea that works. I don’t really want to give anything away really, but the story mode reminds me of The Playmakers, the football show that used to be on ESPN.

Also, you gain cash from things that you do in the game, and you can use it to boost ratings on your team for things such as speed, tackling, etc. Another cool feature is that you can wager money on your game, based on the point odds, like in real life.

Story Mode Grade: 8/10 Sound On the field, the sounds are amazing. The hits sound so realistic. You will see your coordinator yelling at your players. The thing that stops the sound from being a perfect ten is the song selection.

I like rap music in general, but the rap music in this game sounds very amateur, and it sounds like you are listening to the same song over and over again. For that reason, the sound grade goes down, but is still solid.

Sound Score: 8/10 Overall I would rate this game an 8 out of 10. Push in your steroids and crach a receiver coming across the middle. Just like Romanowski.

The game is the worst of them all. I own all the Blitz’s that have come out pretty much after blitz 2003 the game went to crap. This one tries to integrate what the previous blitz had which is the hard hits but the game is slower paste and also they have a meter that fuels the players to be able to go crazy.

Basically in simple words blitz is supposed to be easy to play, fun, fast paste, insane passing/tackling/running/just everything. Blitz the League is boring, slow paste, some points confusing, and just very unlike what blitz was when it first came out.

This game is more than just a simple football game. It’s a game that goes underground. It shows the true side of football. Where there are less rules in the game and injuries occur. It rocks.

This game is perfect for my 5yr old. I have an older X Box (Kinect) that we use for this game & everything works great! The graphics are simple enough for a 5yr old, and the controls are super easy as well.

We liked this one so much, we also purchased Season One. Its been a bit of a lifesaver during quarantine! Shipping was super fast and easy too.

I was not really sure I wanted the game. But it turned out to be a great purchase. The kinect sensor is not perfect – it could be more precise, it could track you better, and work in tighter space (not everyone has huge living room).

But anyway it delivers tons of fun. And Sports Season Two is a good way to use your system. The best game to me is Darts. Even though I have problems with precise aiming, I find it particularly playable.

Football is lots of fun too, but you do need a large room, or you can make damage to furniture, or your TV. And that’s just being a QB. But wait. they have an add on that lets you be a WR and throw your body all over the room.

Now that must be some seriously dangerous fun! Tennis is one of my favorite sports live, but in Kinect Sports it is lacking. You can play it, but the sensor behaves strange. For example, I was able to hit backhand while the ball was clearly going on my forehand side.

At other times, I could not strike the ball which was clearly in range of my racquet. I admit I did not play Tennis very long, so maybe that’s a matter of adjusting yourself to the game. All sports disciplines have the option to play with a friend so it will never get boring (cpu opponent is too easy to beat).

However, I found that golf is just a tad too easy. It gets to a point of being unrealistic that I finish almost all holes at par. From what you can see on TV even the top pros can’t do it. A word of warning: the game WILL wear you out! No kidding! I am in really good physical shape as I work out 3-4 times a week, play tennis twice a week, jog 1 mile barely breaking sweat.

Yet, Kinect Sports gave me a sore shoulder, and made me run to fix my dinner my faster than I was supposed to. But if the game can lift some couch potatoes off their couches – that’s great. To sum up Kinect Sports Season Two is a really enjoyable game.

It gets more so if you can play with someone else in the room. If you happen to be of competitive nature, this game will involve you for hours. Recommended. My rating: 4 of 5.

I bought this game because I loved the first kinect sports game and I had high expectations for this game as well. I like how it had brand new sports in it. My personal favorites are darts and golf. I was slightly unimpressed with the football game.

It seems to lack some aspects to make it more realistic such as defensive moves for the recievers, running plays and more actions with the quarterback rather than just throwing the ball, ie: being able to move and potentially run the ball yourself to get out of a sack.

Also, the downs should have been for 15 yards not for the entire touchdown. Regardless I still find this game great and still give it 5 stars. I understand that the kinect games are limited to what they can incorporate, but we’ll see what happens with updates and add-ons in the future! Can’t wait!.

I played this game about a week ago with my friends. It was fun and exciting, because I do not play to many kinect games. It makes you want to get up there and play and say, I’m next! I did not play all the games.

I played the football game. That one was fun to try and beat my friend at, even though I lost. Just make sure you get your feet up high when you run. We played the dart game and at first I thought it would be boring and I wouldn’t want to play it.

I was wrong. I wanted to play that one a lot. Just make sure your hand doesn’t shake a lot or it might be a bit hard for you to play that one. I played was the golf game. That one I loved the most. Enjoy the out doors from the comfort of your own home.

You can take as many practice swings as you wont and it shows you where it will land, but don’t rely on it a 100%, because if you swing slower, faster, or move your body to much when you take the shot.

Your ball will land in a different spot. I did play the baseball game. I did not like it that much, but both my friends liked it. The football game was a work out. Golf game was a midrange work out. The dart game was relaxing.

This game looks like it would be fun and that’s exactly what I told myself when I decided to download it for free last month as it was complimentary with a PS+ subscription then. I was excited to play a baseball game as it’s been quite some time since I played one, I mean I’m not a fan of baseball, but a good game should shine through if it in fact were a good game as long ad I understand the rules of the sport, right? Alas after I sank a few hours of my time trying to enjoy the digitally modern version of America’s favorite pastime I quickly lost interest and deleted it from my console as it was nothing more than a generic representation of a sport I could go my entire life without watching ever again, and now I could add playing to that as well.

Awesome game. It is the only sports video game that keeps getting better. In a year where NBA2K19, Madden19, NHL19, and Fifa19 have gotten the worst reviews from their gamer base, Sony MLB The Show 19 continues to be a AWESOME game.

The good news is that its coming to XBOX, Nintendo and PC in 2020 thanks to MLB player association.

Any baseball fan or lover of The Show would be satisfied with this purchase. Realistic, fun, baseball gameplay. The Show has many more features on RTTS. The only thing it may leave desired is updated commentary features and gameplay reactions.

Overall, very very solid!.

Well I paid $10 for this game which was a steal in my opinion, but if I had to pay more than that like the actual price of it at retail stores for $30 then it would have been a rip off. The game is great, graphics and gameplay isn’t bad at all, however the selection of players is very small and you are limited to a number of players, only the key stars in the mens and womens competition.

The game gets boring after a while, however if you play the career mode then it is amazing! However it is all basic stuff where you train and play tournaments and that’s it. The game is very easy against the computer however for the price of $10 it is a great buy!.

gameplay 7/10 graphics 8/10 control need more improvement Grand Slam Tennis 2 is a collection of great ideas, but the focus feels a little too stretched and each individual feature is missing the hook it needs to keep the attention on it.

EA’s newest tennis title drops the cartoony graphics and arcade-style gameplay of its predecessor, a Nintendo Wii exclusive, for a more realistic, simluation-meets-arcade hybrid of the franchise. Grand Slam Tennis 2 features a brand new control scheme, dubbed Total Racquet Control, a collection of game modes and a roster featuring the biggest names in the sport.

Unfortunately, these features are spread too thin to keep tennis lovers entertained.

This game is so much fun. While it isn’t groundbreaking in its form like Battlefield 1 was, it is def better than Battlefield 1 in many ways. The graphics have gotten slightly better, especially in terms of water/ landscape movement and response to your actions.

Game play is very fun and obsessive. This game is NOTHING like the original reveal trailer, which i admit was very odd with the claws and weird German people. BFV is much more similar to Battlefield 1 in design.

Check out the trailers that were released only a few weeks before the game came out and you will see what I mean. The one thing this game is missing is AMERICA!!! Where are the US and Russian soldiers and equipment! I get that they’re doing the “Untold War Stories” thing but I would like to see some really major battles involving America and Russia (Battle of Kursk).

I believe that it will be coming as the game progresses with Tides of War and the new campaign missions. really hope so. If you couldn’t care less, and even if you do, still an amazing game that BLOWS COD Black Ops IIII out of the water, same as always.

Got this for son for xmas. I can’t say much as to the actual game play, as I haven’t yet sat and actually watched him play yet, but he seems to really enjoy this game. He has stated that it is “cool”, when in cover to heal, your opponent will shoot at you and the whole wall or building will explode.

So I expect taking cover is not all that easy of thing to accomplish if the walls or building you are taking cover under will just completely blow up when being shot at. But he seems to like the concept.

He loves, war, shooting games and this game fits the bill. Only down side to game I can state without having much experience with it is the cursing. I don’t quite understand why all these games need to have swearing threwout them.

They can be just as fun and compelling of game play without the bad words spewed out during. I, myself make them put the game sound on mute when there is swearing, which was fine and dandy at first, but there are games where they need to have the sound up to actually play the game, and they are not as willing and satisfied to do so as they once we’re, as what’s the fun in playing with no sound because the developers think they cannot finish the game without throwing in a ton of swearing?.

What fails to be clear upon purchase is that as great as this game may be – you cannot install it on a 4GB XBOX. The game sees the 4GB as a flash drive because it is not a true hard drive. Unless you are willing to purchase at the very least an additional 20GB refurbished Hard Drive -which can be found at GameStop for an additional $20 – and if you don’t already own a set – of a very tiny torq screwdrivers – needed to to open the casing it is sold in and then reinstalling it in you 4GB XBOX – of which there are YouTube videos online to assist you – and having it either reinstalled in a smaller casing or precariously rigging it to be stable with a wedge of some kind so that it will not wiggle loose from the connection point – you will never play this game on your 4GB Xbox.

Between Microsoft and EA gaming developers someone ought to have this information prominently displayed as it can be very difficult returning an opened video game. Also it should be known that the install fix will void any warranty you may have had for your Xbox! Ouch! Add $20 for refurbished hard drive and $30 for a torq screwdriver set and the cost of this game goes up to an average of $100 if you are the sad owner of a mere 4GB hard drive (which is not at all even a true hard drive) Xbox.

Having purchased it for gifts to 3 individuals myself I felt compelled to also buy them the refurbished hard drive to be able to play their game – pretty sad – though once installed I hear it is an awesome game.
