20 Best Wrist Support Boxing Gloves (2023 Updated)

I really like these gloves and I really like the wrist support and I like how my hands feel inside of the gloves. After a year of use, they are still in really good condition, just stained on the microfiber part.

(I got the rose gold ones). My only major qualm is that I thought that I would like the microfiber thumb to wipe my brow. but I sweat way too much for it to be useful to me. I clean my gloves religiously after every practice and I think that the thumb part makes them really, really stinky.

I have washed them in the washing machine, I use the cleaner at my gym, and I use glove deodorizer spray as well as the glove inserts, but nothing seems to help. I do really love my gloves, but I wouldn’t buy these ones again.

If you sweat like an absolute monster like me, I wouldn’t go for these ones, as intriguing as the microfiber thumb sounds. I will probably go for the leather T3s next!.

Both gloves already have holes at the knuckles within 2 weeks of moderate use. (2-3 times a week) Plastic corners of the knuckle cushioning push through and rip the outside cloth of the knuckles. Cloth stitching on the inside looks and feels of very poor quality and not much care went into making them.

(Excess cloth flaps past the stitching that catch when taking them off/on) Already had to buy replacements with a different brand. Pros: Fits comfortably and feels good Cons: – construction looks poor and feels annoying after a while when putting on and taking off.

– Knuckle padding will rip with minimal use – can buy better quality for equal or less.

These are HAND WRAPS! These are supposed to be a more convenient alternative to your traditional hand wraps to save time and go straight to hitting the bags. YOU STILL NEED TO WEAR YOUR BOXING GLOVES OVER THIS!!! But as far as the quality, these gets the job done.

Just make sure you get the right size and you’re good to go. Personally I prefer my traditional 210 inches wraps as I have more control over how I want to protect my hands, but these are great if you want to go straight to your training.

Run small but great at protecting the knuckles. I purchased these a month ago and have great success

I bought these gloves several months ago because I go through bag gloves quickly, I have heavy hands, I’d never tried the imf system and wasn’t expecting anything too different from all the others. As of this writing the cushioning has still not compressed, and the long stable cuffs have helped my wrist pain.

I really recommend these for bag work, they are a real bargain.

I am in the process of evaluating replacement heavy bag gloves. I ordered these hoping they would be the one to replace my Ringside Ultimate classic bag gloves that have held up for many years. However, I could not keep this glove.

I returned it. My fingers were getting too many blisters. I guess it depends on your hand and how the glove fits. It might be the right glove for someone else.

Honest feelings. They were a great low price for a decent quality first-gloves purchase. I think the gel really helps with impact resistance. When I hit the bag squarely, my wrists feel great afterwards.

These gloves are great. I have used them on a regular basis to train and I sweat a lot but these gloves have kept odor free. Stay within the weight guidelines and you won’t have any issues with your hands hurting when hitting the bag.

The gloves are easy to slip on and easy to take off and very comfortable.

I’ve had two pairs of the Everlast Prolock gloves and decided to try the Pro Style setup (differences mostly surrounding the support area on the top part of the glove over one’s wrist as well as how one secures the gloves, full wrap around Velcro strap on Prolock vs.

half strap on Pro Style) as it initially appeared and felt like the more solid looking Pro Style setup would help further support your wrist and keep hand and arm locked and in line reducing possible wrist injury with mishits.

While these gloves do promote this, I personally felt like there was too much and sometimes caused me to over correct. I also am not the greatest fan of the half strap setup. Still a great glove overall just not my favorite of Everlast’s many options.

Fantastic quality. That blue gives a beautiful pop of color. Thumb space needed one or two heavy bag sessions to break in for a more comfortable fit, but it’s perfect now.

These gloves are outstanding! They provide excellent hand fitting, wrist support, and just the right amount of knuckle padding. These gloves are great for bag strikes and for practicing proper form. My only suggestion to Everlast would be to make them in a black-red color combination, as opposed to only a black-blue pattern.

I have always like Everlast, from early boxing days when all boxing seemed to be Everlast. I think that Title is taking away from your market share. A formerly NY American based organization, with your products now made in China.

The only reason I didn’t give this product 5 stars was the durability factor. My first pair only lasted 3 months. I like a tight fit and I may have gotten too small a size. Trying the L/XL this time.

Overall this is a great lifting and light striking glove.

Researched a lot before choosing best training gloves for my intermediate level. These amazing gloves are comfortable, well designed with great padding and a smart and tight Velcro strap. For the price and the quality they are second to none.

They also look and feel awesome. P. s customer services were brilliant with responding to my enquiries and delivery was prompt. 5/5.

I use these gloves for heavy bag and pad work four times a week, and they are GREAT! The fit is nice and snugly molded and it’s just the right amount of padding without being too bulky. It’s only been just over a month but they are holding up very well (my previous pair was in shreds in less time than that).

They still look like new and I still get regular compliments and inquiries about them at my gym. Originally I had ordered a similar pair and Rival shipped them out very quickly but Canada Post lost the package (and it was the last pair in stock) – Rival customer service was on top of it right away, found me a comparable alternative based on my needs and I got them in two days! I am extremely happy with these gloves and the experience overall.

I have to say these are the best gloves I’ve worn for bag work. For the price the quality is absolutely brilliant. They protected my hands really well. Quite a nice snug fit and foam padding is really good.

Felt a little bit tight with my gel hand wraps but think that was down to my wraps being damaged and the knuckle position was compromised. great glove I would recommend.

Everlast makes some decent gloves for practicing on a weighted bag, but I wouldn’t recommend trying these in a ring. The velcro does a decent job holding your wrists tight, but it isn’t perfect. Overall I was very satisfied with them and even purchased a second that is weighted.

Just recently got these to work out in different ways as me and the misses are getting bored of the walks etc, and thought these and a pair of mits would be a good way of mixing it up a little, punching each others hands when we were angry lol.

I have had these gloves for around 2 months and can say these gloves are on the pricey side. However, they are extremely comfortable and more compact than the RS1 Sparring Gloves making it easier to slide in between a tight guard and land shots in openings.

A few things I do not like about these gloves would be how long it takes the gloves to dry after use. Other than that I love these gloves. The lining is comfortable and durable, the fit is perfect with good wrist support.

The padding is perfect after breaking them in on the bag for around 25 rounds. The outer material is also very durable however the logos on my pair are starting to fade but I think it makes them look better honestly.

If you are thinking about buying these gloves I would say you wouldn’t be upset with the quality and comfort these gloves offer.

Excellent quality, very comfortable, the fist is compressed well and excellent hand fixation. When you work in them, the feeling that you do not have anything on your hands.

DIY class equipment. Good value for the price. Great way to speed up home drywall projects. It require a universal vacuum hose adaptor to connect it to a shopvac. However a little packing tape between the sander hose and the shopvac hose worked fine for me in a pinch.

The shampoo does not irritate the cats and so far so good. Not sure if it kills fleas as after bathing both cars all looked and smelt lovely. We had one rouge flea appear after. Think combined with flea treatment it is a very good.

It is a practical way to protect breakable dishes when ” rugrats ” are helping with dish washing ! No, I wouldn’t call it entertaining, but, gratifying, that we made it through one more night without broken dishes, or cut hands to mend !!.

I purchased 16oz Sting Titan boxing gloves primarily for heavy bag work. They are very disappointing for $99 gloves. First, my right hand hurts when hitting the bag with them on, which suggests they provide a low kevel of protection and very poor shock resistance.

Second, the padding on the fist is strangely proportioned. I recommend paying a bit more and going for an established brand, not this rubbish. A waste of $99!.

As an amateur boxer I am always looking for the best equipment for my training. Sting Armalite Boxing Gloves is an ideal option for all those who practice boxing. Ideal for all levels. They are comfortable and durable.

Super comfy! Great support around the wrist, I don’t find myself needed to wrap as much or as tight when wearing these gloves. Great for pad training, heavy bag and light sparring. Colours are great, haven’t had that much wear yet so can’t review the wear n tear.

Still find my hands fairly sweaty after each session but that’s to be expected. Love them! Super great design too.

I was looking for a specific bag gloves, as my old cheaper gloves died with heavy bag usage. I’ve waited for a couple of months to write this. So. I got large, and they are a little small sized for my hands, although these have stretched / eased up a bit.

The curvature of the glove is not very square so you can impact your fingers if you’ do punch slightly off square. The wrist wrap is. a pain. It doesn’t add much stability really and with the gloves on doing the second glove up is hard.

Longevity wise they haven’t split or had excess wear in 2 months, with around 30-40 minutes use a day, 4 times a week. There is a little wear where the velcro has worn the outside finish off a bit. For what you pay, they are pricey.

You may be better going for a more expensive gloves, in leather that you can spar with. Weight options would be nice too rather than just size.

I’d like to first state that I am quite pleased with the customer support I received. I have recently moved, so there was a slight issue with the mailing address and billing address (my old residence) associated with my card.

Rival left me a voice mail; I called them back and resolved the issue within minutes (the lady I spoke to was very polite), and my order was shipped an hour or so later. On to the gloves: I have slightly small hands, however I ordered the 14oz gloves because I use Winning gel pads under my wraps, so I wanted to make sure there was some room.

I made the perfect decision, as these gloves work beautifully with my gel pads! Just the right amount of space, so the gloves are snug but not tight with wraps and guards on. I would say however, if you have large hands and use knuckle guards, you might want to contact customer support and see if they offer a glove with a larger hand compartment.

As for the protection, these gloves are fantastic at absorbing the impact of the punches. You get really great feedback with these; you can hear the “pop” on the bag. The shape of the gloves works very well too, as my old “round” type Ringside Apex gloves gave my some finger pain, however these feel great after a prolonged workout! Good job Rival!.

Because the thumb is held so far forward and so far out i can’t make a tight enough fist and can’t strike the bag with a straight wrist. This has caused me to injure a knuckle. Gloves seem well made but the padding is so effective it lets you get away with bad technique.

This was a choice i made. I perhaps should have got wraps.

They are great. I bought them for my sons. They fit comfortably. Love them. Would buy them again.

I bought these after getting a smaller size for Christmas, they’re great! They have much more cushion on your wrist and knuckles than the smaller ounce ones, definitely recommend.

I love these Evergel Hand Wraps!!! They are comfortable and provide great protection for me (at my skill-power level). I use the wraps often – almost daily. I typically use them with Everlast 1910 classic 16 oz hook and loop sparring gloves.

I also use them for speed and double-end bag work, jumping rope, etc. They feel great!!! While I love traditional hand wraps, these Evergel wraps make things much easier – much easier to get on and off.

I will be buying another pair of these Evergels soon! They’re GREAT! GO EVERLAST!!! KEEP THROWING GREAT COMBINATIONS!!!.

So I read the reviews for this and thought I was getting a pretty good deal and it would support my hands for boxing. That was not the case for me. This is just my experience, but I wanted to be thorough for anyone that may have a situation similar to mine.

These tore my hands up. When I say tore up – the skin from my knuckles is completely gone. I have a bruise from my ring finger all the way down the front of my hand to my wrist. It looks broke, but it’s not – just sore and bruised.

It’s making for a nice water cooler discussion this morning since all of my coworkers now think I’m involved in some underground fight club – HA! The size I had was proper and they fit, but I am a hard hitter.

I don’t play around when I train and these just were not appropriate for what I needed them for. If you are shadow boxing or if you are just barely going to hit the bag, these may be ok. But, they destroyed my hands after only a short time.

If you’re like me and you are a girl that doesn’t hit like one – do yourself a favor and upgrade to the nice padded ones that cover your entire hand! You will be glad you did. These are going back to the store.

Good gel cushioning ok wrap support. Not as much knuckle and wrist support as standard boxing wraps but are good for general circuit workouts and push-ups on knuckles.

I purchased these to hit mitts and light sparring. So far after several sessions and breaking them in the glove quality is holding up very solid. No real issues as they are not bulky like other sparring gloves so grappling in these felt pretty nice.

Imho this is a very solid hybrid glove easily capable of doing sparring, light bag work, mitts, and Grappling.

A little too big. I bought the L/XL gloves, since I’m a decent sized dude. The glove itself is nice, and high quality. Hooks are feel odd in the glove though, but that may be because they are too big and when I clinch my fist the top part of the glove doesnt fold over and protect my knuckles and fingers.

Way to small for an adult. Ended up giving them to my 7 year old. Totally disappointed. The only reason it made 2 stars is because it fits my 7 year old .

Very High Quality, Genuine leather and good wrist support. Great for hitting the bag up to as hard as you want. Only compliant is that they might be a little heavier than 16oz. Could be a plus or an issue depending on what you need them to do for you.

They don’t stink up easy like my everlasting gloves did either.

It’s the first time i train with cleto reyes. I tried a lot of gloves in my life and nothing felt like these! They are still new, so they are stiff. But eventually, they’ll brake in and get softer (like all quality leather products).

Still they are very comfortable and very high quality. It’s a bit wide inside the cuff, so you’ll need extra padding on the nucles when wrapping (it’s a good thing) and it will feel excellent. Wrist support is really good.

I’m 190 cm and 95 kg. Since the gloves are built so well, it seems that they are going to last in great shape for a long time. Will definitely purchase again!.

You CANNOT go wrong with Reyes! These are durable, long lasting, and great quality. I’ve had different Reyes for both training, the bag, and competition. They last a very long time and offer your hands excellent protection.

They aren’t quick to break down at all. But as the title says, these are for training, not competition. The only downside to these is they are pricey. From $120 to $200. If you’re serious about the sport I always say go for the more expensive gloves as they pay off in the long run.

You get what you pay for when it comes to boxing gloves.

The material feels premium and durable, and the colourway is also very nice.

Man, Ill tell you this. I box for cardiovascular reasons. Not competitively. But Ive been through many gloves, mostly Everlast gloves and they are not as good when compared to these RDXgloves. I was medically discharged in the Army after 4 surgeries on my right wrist and arm.

I cant twist my wrist at all and its stiff for life now and it hurts every time I twist it or I hit the bags hard. But recently it hasnt because of the way these gloves absorb impact! When I first put them on, they are 16oz but felt like MMA gloves, so light! And when I hit my heavy bag which is 100lbs and has a very HARD mid to bottom area, the gloves absorbed everything and I could go as hard as I wanted to, well 90% because my arm is broken.

Lol Anyways I would definitely recommend these gloves and for the price you cant beat it at only 37$ compared to Everlast which mine were 50$ and they didnt feel good at all and get WAYYYY HEAVIER for 16oz compared to the RDX gloves.

Buy it! You will not regret it.

Amazing quality (the leather T-1s especially)! As a PT, I have been using RDX since day one and they’re so well built, I very quickly realised I don’t need to spend time beta testing other products as part of implementing them into my setup.

Pair these with a set of gel wraps and you will notice you and your clients will put in that little bit more effort into the training regime, to make it an outstanding session and giving the sparring / pad partner a proper pasting! The reverse loop velcro fastening on these is by far superior to the standard wrap around variant (even on RDX ones), ensuring a really secure fit.

With regard to the price, the difference in longevity vs. synthetic gloves is worth the extra 10-15 alone (depending on where you buy them).

I really like these focus pads, and they are already my favourite. I previously bought a pair of curved RDX ‘smartie’ pads which are excellent and perfect for punching as the small pad is good for accuracy and the curve gives feedback on correct angle on target, and the build quality was outstanding.

I always find you get more than you pay for with RDX stuff so I keep going back to it. These are great for hands/feet/knee/elbow combos due to the size, and the curve is just enough to give feedback, but keeps versatility of use intact.

The wrist straps are small enough to stay out of the way if not using and big enough for most users. The density of the pad is great for holder and striker and the build quality feels good so far. Can’t fault these at all!!.
