20 Best Work Light For Mechanics (2023 Updated)

Because we bought five of these and the switch quit working in FOUR of them. The fifth one got crushed LOL. It is usually the side of the dual switch that goes to the long led part, not the narrow flashlight part (probably because we use the long part 95% of the time).

You have three choices: 1) throw it away (they are not cheap) 2) go on Mouser or DigiKey and buy a few cheap switches for repairs 3) swap the connectors out on the broken switch so the long part worsk and it’s the little flashlight part that doesn’t.

Now Bayco HAS to know these switches break all the time. Everyone complains about them, and all of oursbroke. I would give this a five star, except the switch only lasts about a year before we have to fix it.

Great light output, they last most all day at our work. End magnet is so strong it will hang from anywhere. But I’m sick of fixing or tossing a $40 light! BAYCO, FIX THIS!!!.

I bought this light to work on my old cars, because it was cordless and seemed it would be convenient. It is,but more. I use it for many things now. It is a great flood light, it lasts for several hours, the magnets are great for holding the light (especially useful for auto work.

lots of steel nearby) and there is a magnetic hook that is very useful. The spot( flashlight) is good but not great, not overly bright, however; it is useful for close work. I use this light wherever I need a bright light.

Its size lets me place it to see into difficult to see spots in engine bays and especially underneath the car/truck. My wife carries one while walking at twilight; see can see where she is walking and drivers in the neighborhood can see her (the flood light).

I use it in the attic, the basement, and anywhere the room is too dark to see well. It stays bright for several hours of constant use and when it finally gets dim, it recharges overnight. It is light, durable, convenient and well made.

It has become something I use a lot. I recommend one.

Sure it’s cool because it’s cordless, and the quality is OK, but when it comes right down to it, it will NOT outshine a good old light bulb. I’ve put them side by side for a comparison, and I was actually expecting the LED’s to outshine the bulb after reading all the hype here.

Well, it doesn’t, and not only that, it’s only as bright as it gets for maybe an hour. After that it just starts to get dim. So if you’re at all like me and spend hours sometimes working on your vehicle or project or whatever, the last thing you want to have to put up with is dim lighting.

This thing is good for easily getting it into somewhere for a quick look, but don’t plan on using it as a light source for long job. It won’t stay bright for long. The other thing is the two magnets on it, one on the tip and one on the side are good enough to hold it in place, but, they pick up everything magnetic there is around them, filings, rust, metal dust, etc, and about the only way to clean it off is with compressed air.

You can NOT wipe it off. So, I’ll keep it around just for the convenience to look at something and I need quick light, but I won’t be using this on jobs. It’s back to the drop light with a light bulb.

The only kind of LED work light I’d consider now is one with a cord.

This drop light is fairly good construction, will take a beating, and is very bright. It throws light in a broad pattern/area, while still being bright enough to hang on your hood latch area or other part of car/work area.

It is pretty flat in shape, making it easier to get into tighter areas and/or lay flat. The outlet is on the bottom of the handle, which is nice since it can lay flat with a cord plugged in while in use.

The hook to hang the light is kind of ‘clunky’, but functional. Overall I would recommend this drop light as an economical alternative to more expensive choices.

I ordered this because I have a great shop light but it’s a rechargeable and it always dies at the worst time or my son plugs it in the charger but doesn’t plug the charger in the wall. It is simple yet dependable, bright.

The only thing I don’t like is the hook. It is not stationary and can be a pain to try and hang one handed.

I buy from O’reilly’s regularly so I bought a couple of these lights on an order 6 months ago, definitely not for anyone who might drop a light from time to time. They burn out the cheap as* bulb. The cage is held on with a nut that comes off almost immediately, wire ties work better for that.

Thing is junk, so far they have replaced it 8 times. Plan on letting them keep on replacing till they get it right.

I bought a bunch of 12 drivers last year which came free with these lights. I didn’t think much about the light at first but then we started to use them and I fell in love. The light is very bright and many times we just leave them in the “low” setting since that is plenty bright for most applications.

The caribiner hook is great for attaching to tool bags, belt loops, etc. There is also a nail hook for hanging it. but the best feature is the magnetic base which is on the bottom of the pivoting base.

This makes the light very versatile. We have mounted this all over items in our metal and wood production shop. Right now we have one that lives magnetically mounted to our Ellis band saw and makes a perfect mate.

Run time is slightly packing and I don’t think I’ve gotten quite what Bosch says I should but I’m not complaining. We mostly use 2. 0Ah packs but we have a couple 4. 0Ah packs floating around and they greatly improve run time.

If you are already on the Bosch 12V platform you’d be crazy not to pick up one of these. And if you are on the fence of getting into a 12V platform and you really don’t need anything more than just a drill and impact I’d actually let this light sway my decision to go with Bosch.

This little light has it all. 10 LED’S for plenty of light. Plus two modes, High and Low. Just hold the power button down for a couple seconds to lower the brightness. Spring clip to hang from your belt loop or tool hook.

Hanging bracket for hanging it on a nail or screw. It has a base that pivot’s up and down for aiming as well as a tripod screw hole in it’s base. The rear magnet is strong enough to work even with the larger extended run time 4.

0 batteries. This is by far my favorite 12 volt light.

I have had this light for about two years and it is with me every day. I’m a carpenter by trade but do a lot of other work and this light is great for all trades and I love it when doing maintenance/repairs on my vehicles.

The magnet is very strong, a few times I have left it stuck to the outside of my van and it held at highway speeds for 30+ miles. I love the clip because I can just hang it in my front pocket. You can also hang it from a nail.

I don’t think there is a more useful LED light for the money.

There some great features I really like about this light: 1) The bulbs are LED rather than halogen. My halogen work light gets hot and LED doesn’t, plus the bulbs use less energy but are still very bright.

2) This is battery operated so I don’t need to lug around a giant extension cord if I want to use it somewhere without a nearby outlet, especially in elevated places like upper cabinets where the weight of an extension cord can pull the light down.

You can even use it outdoors! 3) It folds up to the size of a book for storage. 4) The lights and the stand move around the axis separately so you can make it point every which way One wish I have for it is that I think it would be nice to have an option to plug it in or have a rechargeable battery.

I don’t know how long the batteries will last so maybe this is not an issue especially since LED bulbs don’t draw that much energy. Also, it’s possible that would require the unit to be bigger and I do like how compact it is so you can use it in small spaces, but that’s the only thing I can think of as an improvement.

This is by far the most common tool I’ve used in my toolbox. Even though I work in broad daylight, sometimes I need the extra flexibility and brightness when working in tight clearances. This tool offers that with the flexible detents and the best part, is the hook.

I mostly do woodworking, yard engine maintenance/teardowns, typical under the hood maintenance (not professionally speaking,,,,,as of yet) and cabinet installation. Here are some odd scenarios I’ve encountered.

When cooking out on the grill as the sun dies down, I usually use my phone as a flashlight but on the other hand, I’m awkwardly using tongs. Every time I try to attempt to do something I always need to put the phone or tongs down, yet I need light to see what I’m doing.

My other solution was that I would use a lamp but I would need an extension cord, outlet, and Mabey a stool so I could place the lamp. With this Craftsman light, just bend it and leave it on the side table.

Life made easy. Here’s another. I was carrying heavy boxes to my car and it was dark out. Again, I’m trying to use my phone but it’s too awkward when your hands are full. Now goofy as this may sound but because the light has a hook, I’ve hooked it on my cargo shorts belt loop.

You’ve gotta be creative when you encounter odd scenarios (No pun intended). Even though it was dangling on my shorts, all I cared about was being able to see what’s in front of me in pitch black when it happens.

It’s just a simple tool to invest in and surprisingly I use this more than my impact driver. I’ve owned this since November of 2019 and have no issues. If I had to pay just a little more extra, I hope Craftsman would consider featuring a strong magnetic.

Most other brands commonly include that.

The light works well and gives off plenty of light. My only complaint is registering the product. Their website is poorly constructed plus I was told registration wasn’t necessary after spending a few hours tinkering without success.

Also they warranty the product based on the date code stamped on the tool. I bought my from Lowes on December 2, 2021 but the date code was 03/2019 which means the warranty expires in three months instead of three years.

I originally bought this light to use when working on car engines, and it did an amazing job at that! I still use it for that purpose but I have found that it is also great for when power gets shut off at my house.

I live in California and with these recent power shut offs, this light has become a lifesaver. We are going days to weeks without power and these have been extremely handy. We hang them up in different rooms around the house and it lights up the whole room.

Having light during a power outage makes you feel like your power isn’t even out. I highly recommend these! One charge will get us about two days of light with continual use. Love the craftsman products!.

ok, i’m 67, trifocals, have epiretinal membirane each eye, vision about 20/120 without glasses. SO, i need LIGHT when i’m workiing, helps focus much better. I have MADE my own custom lights; BRIGHT WHITE bulbs (6000k), set of 4 of 100 watt, gives about 4000 lumens, these replaced all our old HALOGEN heat-intensive lights of about 500 watts of power.

My lights do very well. NOW, enter the dewalt 2000 lumen bright white (I am assuming approx 5000k, comparing to my other lights) light. PRIOR versions of LED lights like this had the beam too focused, did not diffuse the light.

DEWALT, in their design, is able to DIFFUSE the intense light, with the reflecor and clear lens, so that when it is on, it does spread the light over a wide area, not just a focused beam. AND, they have three levels of intensity; button goes from HIGH-MEDIUM-LOW-OFF (and repeat) The handle rotates 360 degrees, so you can use the light in many positions, balanced by the handle; and the handle has 1/4 and (I believe 1/2) threads, for mounting onto tripod, so you can mount the light higher if you wish.

AND it can be wall mounted if desired. AND, since LED, there is NO HEAT, you can put your hand near it, and it is NOT HOT !! This takes both the 12v and 20v batteries; I used it with the 20v, did not try it with the 12v, not sure if that makes a difference in intensity.

OVERALL, this light gets a 10 out of 5, in my opinion. And this opinion comes from trying many other lighting options and desiging my own lighting brackets, etc. So, Dewalt, thanks for designing a great usable light source ! NOTE, dewalt gave me this tool as a sample to test.

but my review is UNBIASED, i would not write a positive reveiw if i thought this tool were substandard, because i do NOT WANT my fellow tool users to have poor lighting !!.

Bought this light to compliment my Bosch 300 lumen 12v lights. It blows them out of the water with its 2000 lumens of light and 3 intensity settings. The light has a couple of tripod mounting options on the bottom of it and as I mentioned, has 3 intensity settings that you can toggle through by briefly pressing the power button.

I put a 5ah battery in it and ran it for a couple of hours with no problem on the highest setting and the battery only lost 1 bar of power. I’d estimate that you get about 1hr of runtime on the highest intensity setting – per Ah of battery on a 20v battery (depending on the age of your battery).

You can set it on a shelf, in the floor, on a tripod, or hang it up with a bungee cord – whatever you need to light up your area. The light does have a noticeable yellow color to it as compared to my other lights which were a ‘white’ colored light.

This will be a welcome addition to my DeWalt cordless vacuum and leaf blower – and it’s awesome that the same batteries feed all three! I love the universal fit of the batteries to so many tools.

This is a great little light. It’s portable, versatile, and offers a good amount of light for brightening a task area or adding supplemental lighting to a particular spot. The ratcheting handle is great for positioning (acts like a kickstand) and for holding onto while moving it around.

Also love the tripod mounts on the handle. I’ve got a laser tripod with a 1/4-20 mounting screw on it, and this fits right on there for an even more stable option. I’ve actually been using this light with my little 12 volt 2 ah batteries, and runtime has been adequate for most tasks: I get about 2 hours on the highest setting.

While this light isn’t quite as bright as some of my other lighting options, I find myself reaching for this one because of its size and versatility. And it’s got plenty of light for most situations.

I purchased this several weeks ago and I only wish I had bought this sooner. It surpasses my expectations. I use the light in environments that lack power. This is a huge improvement over small portable lanterns and flashlights.

The light is easy to hang on a nail or over a door since it has multiple attachments. The light is bright enough to cover a room and keeps your hands free. I use the light for 8 to 10 hours and it lasts without dying.

Since I have multiple batteries I plan to buy more in the future. I absolutely recommend this priduct.

What a great LED Light. Love the two brightness settings and that it can be used with the 40V Battery or 120 V cord. Will definitely come in handy during the hurricane season during power outage’s. The light mount allows any angle and also can be hung with the hook.

This mobile light was better than expected. It’s super bright, no cords and creates added utilization of my three 40V batteries. Nice grab and go handle and I even use it as a massive cyclops headlight on my electric grounds cart at night.

Fantastic light! There is a couple issues now and then with it, but for using it everyday at a dealership and dropping it or getting it covered in oil or coolant it holds up well. Eventually the swivel wears out, sometimes stuff rattles inside after you drop it, eventually I had to secure the battery after dropping it too much, and the magnet on the bottom had to be retightened on one of these that I’ve owned.

I’d recommend buying the green because it’s brightly colored and the black can be forgotten under a car. Haha The soft rubber texture can degrade from brake cleaner by the way. So, considering how much I’ve abused the first one I have I still keep it at home as a backup.

I use my new one at work.

I’ve purchased 3 of these about 3 years apart from each other. It’s a great flash light for about a year and then it just stops working. Won’t charge, won’t turn on. This has happened to my first two and I’m working on my third now.

I wanted to give it a chance because I really like it but when this one goes out probably in about a year then I’m going with a different brand.

We absolutely love this light. It is super bright and stands on its own. We use it at night to see our horses in the darkest of spaces. Lights up the night like day time. I highly recommend it and it is rechargeable too.

No batteries. Comes with all you need.

With our climate changing and so many problems with power grids, it would be wonderful if Worx could come out with a line of Power Outage products. This light would be wonderful if modified to use in homes during power outages like a hanging lantern that illuminates whole rooms.

There are so many products that could run on these wonderful batteries – laptop and phone chargers, lights, emergency radio/tv, small refrigerators, small heaters. Also, chargers for the Worx 20v batteries that can be solar or charged in the car would be great for this purpose.

With so many problems that climate change is and will be causing, it would be nice to have a place to go to get help for daily life when the power goes out.

We are remodeling a house. The two lights we purchased have been invaluable. They produce a tremendous amount of light for their small size. They are not big and clunky, so they are easy to use in tight spaces.

They are easy to carry into the crawl space and up to the attic. They preform well even when they are covered with mud in the crawl space. This is our 5th tool that work with the 20 volt batteries. We have a blower, weed eater, power washer, and lawnmower that use 20 volt batteries.

We love them all, but the lights may be my favorite.

Wow! Bright, fill-a-room light. Complete your projects at any time of the day with this lamp. Not sure exactly how long battery life is, but it will require a recharge after about an hour or so. Nice battery is interchangeable with other WORX tools that I have.

Incredibly bright and very versatile light. It isn’t heavy at all and with the magnetic base, it attaches to metal securely and stays upright. perfect for working on a car engine. It also has a hook that allows it to be hung.

I’ve found dozens of uses for it, very handy to have in the house or garage.

Provides plenty of light under the hood of your car which is why I bought it. Has 4 powerful magnets that holds the light to the hood or any metal surface as you work. Rugged construction with a fold out arm that lets you stand the light on a flat surface at different angles or lets you hang it from a hook.

It has 3 different light modes; high for working on a project, low to light a room during a power failure and extend battery life and a flashing mode for emergency use. Even has a 5 volt output jack so you can charge a phone.

A well designed light that is easy to carry with lots of features. It’s a great deal for the price. I keep one in the house and one in my car.

These are great lights for the price aside from the fact that if you’re lucky you will get around 6-8 months of use out of it until the battery stops holding charge for more than 1 minute. I bought one one that failed after 6 months, then I bought another and made sure I purchased the warranty with it, it lasted not quite 7 months.

Recently after a full charge I can maybe get 3 minutes of use on the lowest light setting until the battery dies. Very bright and initially the batteries would work for quite a long time, but it seems they aren’t good batteries because they deteriorate too soon,.

We have 3 of these that we keep charged and store them on the side of the fridge. They stay charged a long time. We use when the power goes out. We use one to light up an entire room and use another to charge a phone.

They are great to work in the garden at night, work under your car, to walk across the road and check mailbox. Our kids use them all the time when they have to go outside at night, they light up the entire back yard.

Get one, it’s worth it!.

I am a hobbyist getting older and need more light now and again. I have used Eastwood products over the years and found their products to be generally serviceable. So when I needed a little extra light I bought this LED light and found the brightness to be great but the tool to be far to fragile for my one job at a time environment & certainly not adequate for a more harsh shop.

The magnet is weak and as a result it slip off the fender and hit the floor snapping the light head fastenings. I tried to use shrink tube to reenforce the flex joint but found that the plastic that is used in the joint melts at very low heat.

Now the light is headed for the trash. A couple of calls to Eastwood & nobody really seems to care. This tool is no where near their old standard and should be removed from sale. Don’t buy it if you value your $45.

I bought four of these just before Christmas. I gave three of them as christmas gifts to my co workers. They work great. Everyone seems to like them except the one I kept for myself. It stopped charging after only being used just three times (about 1/2 hour).

It shuts of as soon as I turn it on after charging. Must be defective battery because it will function while plugged into charger. I must say I am disappointed. It was great while it worked. I guess I just got the one that had to fail.

Works as advertised. Just got them so we will see how they do in a harsh environment. They put out a good amount of light for as small as they are, 3 different setting lets you direct the amount of light you need, magnet holds well and lets you work hands free to see what your working on!.

This light has now become a ‘must carry’ for me. I have used it under the dash of my truck while working in an impossible position – but I could see everything. The different magnets allowed me to re position and have the light stick to several different surfaces to get the light right.

I also used it while 2 of us were working in a 1200 sq/ft crawlspace. It literally lit up the entire space so we could get the job done without rolling out 120V lights and extension cords. Working in sink cabinets doing plumbing, illuminating the breaker panel when the main is off, illuminating the impossibly tight engine bay in a BMW, this light has done it all and I have only had it a month.

I have my fair share of good flashlights, but they don’t compare to how much you can light up with this light. Being able to hang it or stick it to metal using the magnets really helps. I glued up a PVC tube to store it in so when I have it my ‘go’ box it doesn’t get scuffed up.

I need to buy another one so that I can keep one in my roll-away box and one in the ‘go’ box. Note: I would love to add pictures, but they just don’t do this light justice. They either are full of shadows or look like normal daylight.

I’ve only had this light a couple of weeks but a good light is always on my list as they get used all of the time especially since I’m older. It has a strong magnet on the base and one on each end on the back they are small but strong for their size.

It has a single switch , push it once for the brightest setting then again for medium and again for low and finally off. Kinda wish it was just on off cause I’ll rarely use the lower settings and it willprobably put extra wear on the switch going through all of the positions all the time.

It has a hook on the top to hang it on things also but I don’t have much faith in it lasting very long cause it just “looks” like it’s waiting to break and the cover for the charging port or at least the tab that holds it to the light is bit weak.

That being said those are the only two things well three if you include the switch operation but they are all questionable , I hope it works well for a long time casue it’s a bright little light in a handy size and I’ll be giving it a workout this week so I’ll know more about battery life and recharge time.

Sorry I don’t have that information now as I got the flu right after I aquired the light and am just getting back to work ( should have gotten the” No Flu” accessory) :).

This light is amazing. You wouldn’t think a light could be this awesome but it is. I origanally bought it on a whim but I’ve used it for so many things. The magnet holds strong and it worked amazingly at my storage unit which has corrugated metal walls.

Helped immensely as there is no power outlets near by and its a 30 foot deep unit. Currently I am living in a Chevy express Van which is not exactly fully converted as I am moving to a more temperate location.

I have driven probably 600 miles on Utahs terrible roads and the magnet has held strong to the metal roof of the van. I keep them stuck to the roof and use them as reading lights, etc when sitting on my bed.

I believe they’ve fallen off once or twice but they still work great and only fall off on an especially bad bump. Would definitely recommend these any where you need to be able to aim light and there is something metal to stick the magnet too.

The swivel feature works great. I have no doubt that when I arrive in Oregon I will use these often by sticking them to the outside of the van while setting up camp. If I ever get a flat at night, this baby is gonna save my butt a lot of awkward fumbling.

I can think of so many things I would have used this light for in the past if I had had it. Will be taking one of these with me anytime I go offroading, snowmobiling, camping, etc in the future. Roadside car repairs would have definitely been more simple with this.

just stick it to your oil pan or frame or whatever. The fact that I bothered to write this review at all and am praising a sub $10 light should tell you all you need to know. Just buy one if they have them in stock.

You won’t regret it. I’ve bought 3 or 4 No more holding a flashlight or your phone awkwardly with one hand while trying to do whatever it is you need to do. They should offer a version with a suction cup for non metallic surfaces.

Whoever invented this light deserves the 5 STAR rating. Harbor Freight sells this plastic cased light for about six dollars. Best deal on work lights. Two or three of these lights could light car, work bench, garage, room ,boat, inside or outside.

I put rechargeable batteries in my lights. It runs on 3 AA Batteries. Very efficient with LED lights. The BASE has a powerful magnet that can hold the light at a angle. The base swivels with a adjustable nut under the headlight.

The light can be fixed at an angle and held by the magnet for working on cars. I own several of these lights. With electricity lose, these lights are a backup light source around the property. I ordered these lights on line at Harbor Freight website.

Delivery was fast, but lights were put inside a box that had zero padding. Good that these lights are tough.

I’ve only had it a week. I intended to pair it with the creeper tray but it was out of stock at my local HF. The light was brighter than I expected, I’m pleased with that. The only very minor negative is the battery requirments arent on the outside of the worklight.

Yeah I know, I could just open it up and see but I would have liked to picked some extra batteries while I was thinking of it. Not a big objection by any means. It is has the magnet on the bottom which is handy.

It has an excellent swivel and is compact enough to use for tight jobs. Price is very reasonable and the light is very bright. I looks like I’ll find a lot of uses for it.

We have several of these and plan to purchase more. Before I had power to my barn, I kept one out there for night-time use. As for the house – our area experiences frequent power outages (another fried squirrel?), so we keep several of these charges and at the ready in living room, bedrooms and bath.

We had guests one evening when the power failed. Everyone moaned about having to sit in the dark – until we simply reached up and with a quick push of a button – voila! light! The light is bright enough to read by, but finer work might have to wait.

I’m building a new storage hut outside the shop and instead of running power immediately, I plan to place one of these bar lights out there. Oh — and I suppose you could use them as an “underhood work light!” I don’t work on cars, so haven’t tried that! It charges pretty quickly and seems to last awhile, though I haven’t actually timed either of those.

Even so, it’s a great little tool!.

This is a good light. I recently used it while working on my Mazda CX-9 engine. I was surprised to find the cars hood wasn’t steel so the magnets to hang the light didn’t work but I was happy to see the magnetic ends also had hooks built in so I used the hooks instead and it worked great.

I charged the light for about an hour and used it for about an hour as well, but the light auto-dimmed itself after about 40 minutes. I’m assuming it does this to save battery. I’ll be sure to charge it longer next time.

The only issue I have with it so far is how the magnetic ends screw on, it’s kind of a pain. Normally it wouldn’t be a big deal but when your using the hanging hooks with the ends screwed onto the light like I did both ends need to be screwed on in the same position so the hooks are positioned the same way for the light to shine down.

I’ll be using the hooks to hang the light over my workbench so it will double as workbench light too.

I purchased this to replace a light that I use at work that recently failed. The Braun light won’t stay on high for more than a few minutes unless it is plugged in. On low, it is worthless in a well lit shop.

On low, it has a 2. 5-2. 75 hour battery life. Nowhere near the advertised 7 hours. The mounting system is a joke. The magnets are weak & the hook/string system only works if you use both hooks & then the light goes belly up (the battery is heavier than the LED panel).

A young trainee in a neighboring shop asked me how I liked it. I told him to take it & use it for a few days. He brought it back & thanked me. He said he would spend a little more & buy something else.

I offered to give it to him, for free & he passed. Not recommended for any kind of professional work. Might be OK at home, if this is your only light. It’s better than nothing, but barely.

Open the box at home to find what I thought were extra parts at the bottom of the box. Upon first use of the light, I noticed it wouldn’t stop flopping backwards and not stand up. Then I noticed the same extra parts sitting in front of the light.

Then I realized these extra parts were actually not extra, but the inner plastic nuts and locking washer of its stand. I determined that the manufacturer over tightened the two plastic knobs that attach the stand to the light housing.

So much so that the plastic nut must have broke off before I purchased the work light and the second one broke off soon after taking it out of the box. I never even had a chance to touch these parts to adjust the light angle.

Based on another review about the same failure of the light, I decided not to accept a replacement unit and returned it for my money back and bought one from another store. I definitely would not recommend this product unless they address their manufacturing issue or change the design of the failing part.

I did love the light output and the construction of the light housing. So much so that I did play with the idea of repairing it myself with better parts from a hardware store.

I purchased this light as a Christmas gift for my mechanic-nephew. He loved the 3500 lumen capability but the plastic nuts that control the tilt of the light direction were broken when he opened it. I took it back and optimistically put a new one in my cart — then I decided I should check it.

I was really disappointed that the next two boxes I opened were also already broken. BJ’s please get in contact with the manufacturer and get the rest of this stock out of your stores!.

I purchased at BJ’s and when I got home, it was broken and repacked with parts missing and styrofoam packing not all there. Unit was returned and resold Broken. I exchanged it for another, opened package in store to peak in and all looked good.

Got home and support leg broken. Looking at it carefully, its just put together very poorly. I would not recommend this product and I was disappointed that BJ’s would just take a return and put it back on the shelf.

Geeft mooi helder licht. Accu moet er apart worden bijgekocht. Maar de accu gaat wel een hele dag mee bij gebruik van de lamp zonder netspanning. De lamp kan ook op netspanning. Accu laad niet zelf bij, bij gebruik de lamp bij netspanning, dus een lader is wel noodzakelijk.

I really was hoping it was better than it actually. It is bright It takes forever to charge and only lasts 1. 5 hours of use on high setting. This light is modeled after a work like used for working on vehicles.

The problem is that the light does not twist to the proper angle if your are mounting it on and open hood of a vehicle. Since the hood is at and angle the light is not pointing down but toward your face and away from the vehicle.

It does work well for under the vehicle if you place this on the floor pointing up. The quality seems like it is flimsy and will break if dropped. The swivel hanging hooks are useless and fall out easily.

For the sale price it was an ok purchase. It it not what I really need for my shop and working on cars.

I purchased this light to keep in my Jeep for when I go off roading in case of an emergency. I loved the strobe feature and that it was rechargeable. I’ve kept it around without using it really except for two times when I worked on my car.

Excellent for what I needed. However, last week I took it off roading and charged it. On my way up. Didn’t use it, but I did turn it on to make sure it worked and it did. I put it away when I got home and the next morning went to turn it on and it didn’t.

I charged it again for several hours and it turned on. I tested it again the following morning and it didn’t work again. It simply loses its charge overnight. I would not recommend. Here I was relying on this in case of an emergency.

Glad I didn’t need it.

This is a very good light. I used it recently for a project in my shed where there is no electic. With the convenient hooks and the ability to rotate the individual lights, I was able to hang it from the ceiling like a shop light.

On the lower setting, it was bright enough to provide sufficient illumination for several hours. I like that it has swivel ends. It also has magnets and hooks for easy mounting. When charging is has a red LED which turns green when fully charged.

I highly recommend this light.
