20 Best Work Boots Under $50 (2023 Updated)

I absolutely love the look of this shoe. I have been searching for a pair of black tennis shoes. These are a bit more than I wanted to spend ($80) because I wasn’t going to use them for running, just running some errands, so they were fashion shoes (tennis shoes as fashion shoes? Absolutely, in my world.

) Anyway, love the look, but trying to get them on my foot (just tried the one shoe, had to let my finger, my shoe horn finger, heal up before I tried to get the other one on. ) There is no way that I’m using a shoe horn to put on a pair of tennis shoes.

Undoubtedly, this shoe will not get loose and sloppy; you’d have to take a jackhammer to disengage the shoe from the foot. I hope they redesign the opening of this shoe, for this one does not work. Alas, back to the store it goes.

Excellent boots. Lasted me a little over a year working in a very harsh work environment. Heavy iron castings and extreme temperatures from 160 and even up to (infrequently) 200 degrees down to -30 and I didn’t notice a thing.

Very comfortable. Will definitely buy again.

I ordered a 10 wide, and they fit just like the should. They are also very nice looking and very comfortable for a boot. Overall a great buy.

Haven’t worn but out of the store to the house. In store my feet were already on shift for 6hrs. so feet were boot ready. Anyhow, could not believe how cushiony these boots felt. I’m excited to wear them for my new job starting June 1, 2022.

I’ll update y’all as soon as they get worked in. Also, I’m lov’n the shoe strings for boot life and 6 months workmanship defect warranty, as well as the resole option. At this point really, I’m thinking by the feel when trying these boots on they’re by far the comfortablest boot I’ve ever worn.

I needed a pair of comfortable weatherproof boots very (sic) rapidly. With the enducement of a £30 discount from Very, these Skechers work boots appeared to be a rather desirable purchase, as I’ve been introduced to the Skechers brand by my partner just this year, and I’m delighted with the boots, they look smart, they’re also quite rugged and hard wearing with a thick grip sole.

The memory foam inners make the boots feel like I’m wearing a robust pair of slippers and, with this COVID December already shaping up to be one of the wettest on record, the boots are proving to be superbly weatherproof.

One word of caution, if you’re working in a warehouse, or any location where you’re likely to be dealing with pallet trucks and the like, these boots, although advertised as ‘work boots’, have no reinforced toecap, or lining of any description, so be advised.

I have only had these boots a couple of weeks and worn them 4 – 5 times casually. The fit is spot on and quite comfortable. I require a wide width (9 1/2 W) and the toe bed in these has the perfect amount of space; no pinching but not so wide that my feet swim in them.

I like the zippered side but the fabric gusset panel creates a pressure point on my calf when the boot is laced and zipped. I believe it is something that I will notice less and less as I wear them more.

I did not deduct a star for this. Eventually, I want to wear these on a hike to give them a good test.

These boots looked really great in the photos online and also in person; however, the SIZING of these boots leaves a LOT to be desired and/or explained, because the size 13M that I ordered IN NO WAY compared to a pair of size 13M Guide Gear™ boots that I ordered from SG in the early 2000s.

Those size 13Ms were a perfect fit (especially when paired with a nice thick work sock). The Under Armour boots are greatly undersized! They looked great, although I think they are more for casual light work and not hardcore, in-the-trenches type work.

I might’ve had better luck ordering a size 14, but I needed a good work boot in a hurry and returned these for a refund (which was handled promptly by SG). Great boot, but the sizing is off the mark.

I ordered a pair of boots. I went by the UA sizing chart and ordered the 11. 5 When it arrived too small. So i cant wear them. When i opened the box, the boots are very light, have a very plastic feel.

I read the reviews online the reviews were very positive. My mistake for buying online. I cant wear them so they will end up in the bin. My only advice is never buy shoes online definitely go into the store and try them on.

I’m a security guard with bad feet and weak ankles and have found that the UA Stellar Tactical Boots are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn, giving great support and protection at the same time.

These boots are great in all situations and terrains I find myself in for the work I do, whether I am standing for hours doing static work, on foot patrols or driving a patrol vehicle. I’m on my 4th pair of Stellars and couldn’t be more satisfied.

I highly recommend these boots.

well made, cool look. not warm. they have no lining that would keep your feet warm. So i would suggest wearing these in the spring/summer/fall. I have worn then in NE Ohio, all winter, and they are okay with 2 pairs of warm socks.

But you will feel the cold if you stomp around in the snow.

Second pair I have owned. After years they are finally starting to wear out at the heels but the rest of the boot is in great shape, still comfortable and waterproof. Happy to find out they still make the some model I originally had.

I’m on my 3rd pair. I have worked Security now 7 yrs and my last pair lasted 4 yrs, and the pair before that are still being used for my yard work. They’re very comfortable and fit well. Some people say they run small, but if they had tried them on at the store, before doing the online order, they would have known what proper size for their feet to get.

Like I said, I am now on my 3rd pair. Great boot for the price. Very happy with mine.

I work for UPS during the holiday season and this is the second year wearing this boot. All conditions including heat, cold, wet, snow this boot has not failed me. This year I kept track of my steps taken and they range from 4-9 miles delivering packages.

My feet did not get wet and stayed warm during the cold and comfy in warm weather. Delivering at a brisk pace I need a boot that is flexible at the step and this boot has it. Actually it is more comfy than a shoe that I have.

Boot is also light weight. I now have another pair to order when it comes available. I also keep mine polished after each wet outing. I recommend this boot!!!.

My son loves these boots, we have bought these same boots 4 times and my son needed me to order him 2 more pairs, but they have been discontinued and it has pissed us off because he uses these for work.

We have tried others but they aren’t has good or comfortable. Why have they been discontinued!!!??.

I like this boot, looks good and sturdy. I’m only problem is it’s a little narrow and so squeezes my feet. I have a stretcher in it and hope it will be more comfortable. Sorry I have really big feet, long and wide, made to walk on water.

Finally a pair of wellingtons that actually fit my calf. I have never found a single pair that would. The safety toe cap is also much nicer, no more digging into the sides of my pinky and big toes. The sole is very hard rubber and is terrible in packed snow/ice, but they aren’t advertised as a winter boot.

I have no idea how the boot will hold up over time yet, but I hope they do.

This boot looks great at first. Width is truth as well as length. However, the heel feels like it’s not there. It feels as though I am standing out of the boot. So much so that each step feels like the boot is falling off.

The heel needs to be at least another 1. 5†deep. I will have to return.

For $22, I don’t think you can go wrong. I purchased these for a fall/winter surf fishing trip to keep my feet dry. Here we are a couple weeks later and we just got our first snow of the year. I have already used these as my go-to for walking the dog in the rain and now they got me through shoveling a few inches of wet/heavy snow from my driveway.

Overall, the fit is slightly larger than true to size, but that’s what I wanted for extra socks. I’m glad I picked these up. I’ll probably wear these hunting later this year too versus spending an arm and a leg on hunting boots.

I didn’t think these would hold up as well as they have. Purchased them over this past winter. No leaks and they do the job very well. Even in the middle of winter, when I had to replace a well pump and dryness was more important than insulation, these boots held up well.

This is a very comfortable shoe and looks great. I debated on a couple different ones but liked the patterning on this one the best. The first day I wore them people complemented on the way they looked.

The shoes are comfortable, very light and easy on the feet! Color is very nice. Price was great as well!

They will tear up your ankle after wearing them for over 30 minutes, you wont notice it when you try them on, but if you inspect the rear inter wall you will see what I mean. I tried wearing extra socks and pads, but cant go a full day with them on.

I bought this pair of boots after lengthy and expensive search for boots that would ease Plantar Fasciitis. After three attempts failed, I gave these a try and they were the most comfortable well fitting of the bunch.

Working on concrete floors and running around pallets stretch wrapping loads like a circus monkey act. I thought I was gonna half to move on to another less foot pounding job. These boots cut down the pain by more than half and allowed me to keep up the pace.

They didn’t even need a break in period. I’m gonna get the soles replaced and wear ’em another ten years. Can’t go wrong with these Babies.

I need some quality boots for working in dirt and on concrete. I knew I wanted the wedge sole, but not the Moccasin toe (wide, fat feet). These fit the bill, perfectly. These boots are all-day comfortable and surprisingly light.

They have really good support under foot and as much ankle support as one could expect from a 6 inch boot. I have only had them for a week, so I cannot speak to their durability, but the craftsmanship indicates these are a will made boot.

I fully expect to get a long life out of them. Size 10. 5 Wide – True to size and width.

Knew which shoes I wanted to purchase, style. color. and size. Delivery was free, and I didn’t need it to be Amazon-quick. that’s ridiculous. Overall, very happy with the new shoes purchase. Was able to get shoes that were not at any of the following: Dick’s Sporting Goods, Working Gear, Kohl’s, Target, Men’s Warehouse, and a couple other places.

I should have let my fingers do the walking and found the Shoebacca option sooner, woulda saved time and effort. I replaced both Lugz simultaneously. The lugz Drifter Lo LX dark tan pair I previously had lasted me 8 years.

The golden wheat pair lasted me even more. The dark tan will last a bit longer and will take a tinted cream conditioner, but the golden wheat will take only a waterproofed. If you take care of them, these will last.

The heal will eventually break down and the shoe will lose its rigidity, but considering this price point, it will owe you nothing at that point.

Bought these for my wife cause lugz are the only boots that I wear and she wanted a pair. They are very comfortable and come with the memory foam inside for that extra comfort. We both love this color of the boot and its like a sweade type finish.

These are her first pair of lugz and she’s very happy with them and will be for a long time. My past experience with lugz these boots last forever. They’ve lasted longer than any other brand of shoe/boot that either her or I have worn.

Acc they aren’t that expensive either compared to how long they last. For around $70 for a pair that’s cheap when they last for years And years. Would definitely recommend these to any woman and reccomend lugz period to anyone looking for a comfortable boot that’ll last year’s.

My fiance bought these for me for Christmas and I absolutely Loved them. But then I hated them because 6 months later, they started falling apart. The outside toe started fraying apart and the sole completely fell off of them.

Would not recommend anyone to waste their money on these. And here I thought Lugz was a good brand. No repeat customer here.

Honestly first pair of boots I’ve bought in a while that didn’t require major foot wrestling to put on. If anything they are a little too wide. Planning on buying a back up pair because I like them so much.

If you have super wide feet buy these boots.

Perfect for use while welding. Feet don’t get saturated in sweat due to the leather shoe. Comfortable for 8 hours of standing. Plenty of shoe string for a tight fit that stays tied.

Replaced an old pair of LL Bean slip-on duck boots with a pair of Bogs Bozeman Talls. Easy slip-on and perfect fit. Matches my running shoe size perfectly with room for heavy socks. Unexpectedly comfortable and warm interior footbed.

We’re in Iowa near the Minnesota border. Lots of sub-zero weather. And so far? Paired with heavy wool boot socks, there’s no need for additional insulation. Though Bogs offers a winter insulated version, the Bozeman Tall Yulex.

I’m out in the cold multiple times a day to walk our high-energy Brittany dog. Standing on cold concrete or frozen lake, my feet stay warm and comfortable. The easy, on-off is appreciated, as is the comfortable contoured footbed for walking.

The wide footprint provides confident traction. Much better than the narrow heel on traditional duck boots. On icy days I add a set of large slip-on Redwing Yaktrak ice grippers to my size 11 Bozeman boots.

The built-in loop handles are useful. I honestly can’t imagine a better pair of waterproof winter/wet weather boots. I’m a first-time buyer and very impressed. Fully justified the premium for Bogs. An unequivocal 5-stars.

As a chore boot, it’s a 5 star boot. The calf is roomy. The toe box doesn’t pinch. I can stand on uneven ground for hours without foot pain. Trudging through icy water, I don’t even feel the cold. The reason for the 4 star review? I’m a woman and have been told by Bogs for 4 years that they were releasing a women’s chore boot.

Why does this matter? I have narrow heels, so when I’m walking (I’m a pig and dairy farmer) my heel rides loose which has led to frequent turned ankles and I wear through the heels of my socks constantly.

Also, if I end up in deep mud it pulls the boot off. I also have a permanent chafe mark on my shins because the upper is too loose and when I’m lifting and bending the front of the boot rubs my skin.

But even with all that, it’s leagues more comfortable to work in than the competitor who produces the only chore boot with a composite toe made for women. I wear through a pair a year, and the weak spot is any place the boot flexes, like where the rubber meets the neoprene or across the toe box.

But I’m often working outside for 9-10 hours a day, in mud, ice, snow, uneven ground.

We received the pair of boots in a timely fashion. My wife tried them on, and found that they appeared to be of different sizes. On closer inspection, the boots themselves were not of the normal quality that we expected of BOGS.

We asked for an exchange after describing the issues, and they promptly created the paperwork for the return and reorder. The new pair of BOGS came expedited within a couple of days, and we hadn’t been able at that point to take in the first pair for the UPS return.

We were surprised at the prompt attention and delivery, and were able to compare the first and replacement pairs side by side. The craftsmanship quality of the replacement pair was unbelievably better, the size was perfect for both L and R, and we became satisfied customers! We noted that the 2 pairs originated from different countries of origin.

It’s hard to decide what to call the first one we got, but the molding of the boots was the opposite of crisp and defined and quality that we saw on the replacement pair. I would be happy to share several side-by-side photos as comparisons of the quality of manufacture between the two pairs.

Great boot vary comfortable, work in construction wear boots 12 to 15 hrs. Everyday great support eliminated lower back pain, water proof ventilated no sweat greatly balanced true to size. Composite toe lighter then conventional steel toe highly recommend for continus wear.

I love the style and look. The feel is a totally different story. I bought the wide size and I can’t even tell you how bad they make my feet hurt. By the end of the workday, 8hrs on my feet. They are throbbing and have blisters.

I wish I never spent the money because these weren’t cheap.

I was leery about ordering the wrong size but the cross reference option was spot on. They fit as the should. The sole is a bit too aggressive to suit me, pictures of the sole tread would have been nice.

That’s not the shoes fault, just the site.

I’ve been wearing these boots for about a week now, and they are super comfortable. I only have two concerns with this model. They aren’t the lightest boots I’ve bought over the past couple of years.

Typically, comp or steel toe models are slightly heavier in nature, and these are no exception. I’m on my feet for 12+ hours a day, walking up and down a steel tube mill, and moving tubes from one place to another periodically.

They are a little too heavy for my line of work. The last issue I have is how slick the outer soles are. For a boot thats advertised as slip resistant, I’m not really noticing that at all. As soon as I walked on finished floor with coolant and RP oil residue, my feet almost came out from under me.

I actually went and put my old Wolverine Chelsea’s back on, because of the position I was assigned to that day. These boots are built tough, and they are super comfortable, but they aren’t suited for my line of work unfortunately.

They get four stars because they are a great boot, with a lot of potential to handle the task in most other conditions. If you’re in construction of any kind, they’re the boot for you. I would recommend going with another model if the work conditions include any prolonged exposure to slick surfaces.

And again, they’re heavy.

As a welder and fitter I am on my feet for 10-12hrs everyday. Steel plates and cement is the surface we work on day in and day out. So comfort is a big deal. I’ve also had two significant foot surgeries due to injuries sustained while in the military.

For a cushion boot sole that won’t have you groaning as you take them off at the end of your day this is it. The leather is pretty supple and not stiff like RW or others, so break in wasn’t an issue for me.

I am actually surprised that the outer leather around the steel toes hasn’t torn or come apart yet given the soft feel of it. The only real complaint I have is the laces/lacing system. Having been a thorogood wearer for many years now I’m accustomed to wrapping my laces around the back of the boot and knotting them in front due to length.

These laces are equally long but with the drop in boot from the tongue to the Achilles area the laces won’t stay wrapped unless you put them through the pull loop. And the laces seem to be too soft and come untied fairly easy.

So in a nutshell: do yourself a favor and buy better/stiffer laces to go with these boots and you won’t be disappointed. I haven’t so far and am going on a little over 180hrs in them over 10 days. So a little more time will tell the whole truth for me.
