20 Best Work Boots For Standing On Concrete (2023 Updated)

I haven’t had them for very long, but so far they feel really good, appear to be durable, and an extra benefit I really enjoy – keep my feet warm in the outdoors cold. They also look good! I am currently totally satisfied with my purchase.

I bought these about a year ago. I do fire inspections and I’m not on construction sites or that type of thing but I’m in heavy manufacturing plants and those kinds of places so I’m required to wear steel toe.

These never got a drop of water on them or muddy and within 6 months of just walking in them, they both split on the top outsides where the steel toe would meet the material. For what I do, I get a minimum of 2 years from a sub-$100 pair of work boots so I’m a bit disappointed.

They ARE comfortable to walk in, to be fair and had no/minimal “break in” period. But when they’re split, its considered faulty PPE so I can’t use them for work.

I have one other pair of Keen boots and they are solid as can be. This new black utility boot with steel toe for my job is tough as nails and can take a beating. These Keen products are top notch footwear and comfortable too.

You can wear them all day without any foot pain for discomfort. The best boots I have ever owned. I’ll keep buying them in the future.

I’ve never had a pair of work boots fit like they were made for me before. From the first second I slipped into them. I’ve only had them on a couple days now and truly hope they soften a little, not much shock absorption to speak of.

That would be my only critical word so far.

My husband needed a pair of steel toe shoes for his new job. He is in sales so he didn’t want a boot style. He saw these and decided to try them on. He said they are very comfortable and his feet aren’t tired at the end of the day.

They are a little pricey for a work shoe.

These boots started out great when I bought them in April of 2021. I had to get used to walking with the wedge style sole, not a problem. In August I blew out one of the eye hooks, it literally broke in two, the front away from the back (rivet came undone).

I lived with them that way for another few months. Then in November, the same thing happened, now outside of the 6 month warranty. I took them to a Red Wing store and they told me they could fix them, no problem, only about $6 an eye.

I told them that was a problem for me, not financially, but just the fact they wouldn’t stand behind the craftsmanship. Since the second eye came off, I started wearing my old boots from another manufacturer about every other day.

I barely had many miles put on the Wingshooter. I replaces the laces with paracord after having one lace shred (maybe from the eye?), and decided to do that with all my boots. I had an old pair of Irish Setters that I wore right into the ground, they lasted MANY years, so I hoped to get the same from these Wingshooters.

not the case. If this is how they will hold up, I will never buy another pair, especially with the limited warranty. I’m enclosing a pic of my boots, you can see they have little wear, just missing the eyes.

I was looking for a waterproof boot for the winter months and wanted to try Red Wing or Irish Setter again. I did not have much luck several years ago but now lived in Minnesota and have several Red Wing dealers close by.

I wore these boots for about 4 weeks. I had applied leather conditioners before wearing but they never seem to feel broken in even after several weeks. My feet have never hurt so bad. I went back to the store to see if there was a return option.

I was just a few days past the 30 day guarantee at this point. The manager said there was not a return or exchange option but that he would “make me a great deal on another pair of boots. ” I said I just spent $200 on these and why would I want to spend more money on a another pair of boots.

I have been wearing Thorogood boots for the last 8 years without a single comfort or construction issue. Again I thought I would try Red wing because of manufacturing issues, I was not finding the Thorogoods in my size but needed new boots before the winter came.

I continue to wear them because of the money spent but can’t wait for spring so I can switch back to my Thorogoods. I will never spend my money on another Red Wing or Irish Setter product.

Solid boot. I work in natural gas and am outdoors in the Pacific Northwest. Snow in Idaho and rain over in Oregon and Washington They’ve been great for driving, job site and walking around, and the waterproofing is top notch.

I’ve ridden the Harley a couple times with them in and the met guard is no good for that, protects your foot too much to have good connection with the shifter, but for work, these are great.

So far so good , wide eneough – my toes aren’t cramped., cushion is adequate. I’d purchase again.

I work offshore and am heavy on my feet all day climbing, kneeling, waking, standing. On top of that I have wide feet, one a lil wider than the other. For over 7 years I’ve dealt with pain and fatigue caused by my feet, both crunching toes and sore heels.

I’ve even tried orthotic inserts. I’ve tried over a dozen pair of boots from several brands to no avail. I’m a week in to these boots and, with the right socks, my ol dogs ain’t screamed at me once. My energy lasts the whole day.

The difference is nothing short of miraculous. Hand to God I’ll never purchase boots anywhere else. They’ve literally saved my life. And they look nice too. Thanks to all you miracle workers behind these amazing tools.

I started buying these boots about 4 years ago. My first 2 pair were great! I have terrible feet and ankles and LOVED how stiff the leather was not only for ankle support but for longer wear. With the stiff leather, these were the first boot that I found that actually worked for me putting in 12-14 hour days on the concrete as well as on the farm.

This most recent pair the leather is super soft, not providing much support and loosened very fast. I have been wearing them to get my money’s worth out of them, but I need a new pair and not sure if I try another pair if the leather is going to be soft and not provide me with any ankle support.

If they go back to a stiffer leather, I would buy these forever.

I bought my second pair of Hammer Internal Metatarsal Steel Toe Work Boots a few weeks ago after proudly wearing my first pair for over 3 years. I absolutely love these boots because of their comfort and aesthetic appeal – they truly are the most comfortable boots and age beautifully.

Keep reading. I wish I could give the new pair a 5 star review, but after putting my new pair on, specifically the right shoe, I noticed the upper/lacing area was noticeably off center. Whoever stitched/made my pair attached this area substantially off center.

It doesn’t affect the integrity of the boot but it does look downright goofy and forces me to question the quality control Georgia Boot enforces. Something like this could have been avoided by implementing better quality control procedures – paying a single employee to open each pair of purchased shoes and checking off certain measures.

I imagine my right shoe should have either been thrown out, donated, or re-stitched. I love these boots more than the several other boots I’ve owned, including $250+ Carolina and Chippewa boots, but I was simply given a “blemished” pair of boots.

I am fine with overseas manufacturing as it lowers the cost and doesn’t necessarily affect the quality, but when you do outsource the manufacturing to China, Vietnam, Korea, etc. , quality control is crucial.

In my opinion these are the highest rated and ‘prettiest’ boots Georgia Boot make. Maybe consider adding it to your “Made in USA” line? I’d gladly pay an extra 50 bucks to ensure top-notch quality. I want to keep purchasing this specific boot, but I’m left unsure now.

Boots designed to last with comfort every step of the way. I work a relatively medium duty job, but the boots have definitely seen some hard work periodically. From weld shops to sludge, I’ve had the same pair for just over 5 years, and they have held up great.

Albeit they probably should have been replaced before now. With my experience with other brands/models, this is an easy repurchase, worth every penny.

I have been looking for a true wide width for women and they just don’t seem to get the concept of what ‘wide’ actually is. They advertise the width as “W” but they are closer to a medium. As a result of all that I have bought and returned numerous boots.

The manufacturers of women’s boots need to realize that women also work in fields that require a good hard working boot, one that doesn’t compromise on comfort and fit, and then they need to step up and make some much needed design changes! I know these are labeled ‘men’s’ shoes but being fed up with the options for available for women I decided to try these out.

After reading the male reviews on this boot I just had to give them a go and I AM SO GLAD I DID!!! The fit was perfect with plenty of room to wiggle your toes around and even enough room to add gel insoles if you choose to, although they are quite comfy without them! I am on my feet all day, walking/working on concrete, gravel, mud and dirt and any mixture in between and these boots are great! I also love the composite toe because they are so light weight you don’t even know you are wearing a safety toed boot.

I just can’t say enough good things about them and I know that I have found my ‘forever’ boot :)). I wear a woman’s size 6 1/2 W and the men’s size 5 was perfect! Thank you Rockport for making a small enough man’s size to accommodate a small woman’s foot!.

They really are waterproof. My husband’s boots were soaked from yard work near a creek. When he took them off, his socks were nearly dry except for the bit of sweat in them. They’re durable and worth the money.

I bought these to replace a previous pair of Georgia Boots that are no longer made. I could not be happier with these. They are comfortable out of the box, requiring just about no break in. The soles and insoles are nicely padded, and easy to be on my feet for hours at a time.

Unlike some waterproof footwear, these are not overly warm, and don’t seem to retain excess moisture. They look great, and feel good. The composite toe offers protection without the extra weight that my previous steel toed boots had.

I bought these when they came on sale. At just under $100, they are an excellent value.

This is not about the boot i just bought. This is about georgia quality overall which has fallen substantially over the years. I have been wearing georgia boots for about 20 years and the only reason i bought these boots is because the ones i am wearing now are almost dead.

I have already had to purchse new insoles andhave had to apply shoe goo after about 8 months of wear. It looks bad when people see your boots faling apart on the jobsite. Fix it.

Not only are these boots super comfortable but they look great. I could wear these boots to church on Sunday. LOL Seriously you can’t do better than Georgia boot. The Georgia boots that I bought 4 years ago are still functional and waterproof and I work construction 80 hours a week.

I bought these last year, and fell in love with them right away. The comfort is true quality. The soles are hard and do not wear out easily. I am on my feet treading through gravel daily and I still have over 75% tread left.

The most amazing feature is how soft the inside of the boots feel. Even at the end of the day I can still feel the cushion, it hasn’t lost any of its cushion since day one. I highly recommend and will be buying again, if I ever need too, as the pair I have is still in great shape.

I do want to emphasize you will need to clean and condition the leather to keep them looking like new and able to resist water.

While I only gave it 3 stars (I’ll explain) it is a really comfortable boot. I’ve been through every brand and every price point in the 25 years that I’ve been wearing work boots and these one are up there in the top 3 so far.

Very comfortable, almost no break in and my feet don’t hurt at the end of the day. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is a pretty roomy boot, almost to roomy. I went down a half size like most reviewers said and it’s still pretty big and slides on my heels quite a bit.

Not a deal breaker and something I can live with. The other reviewers also said the pull tabs on the side were rubbing their leg raw. I didn’t think much about it until it happened to me within the first hour of wearing the boots.

Extremely painful. I think that Brunt should sew the pull tabs on first and THEN sew the liner over it so it keeps the leather and thread (which Is ver rugged btw) away from your skin. I ended up getting mole skin and lining that part of the boot to stop the pain.

The only other thing I noticed is the left boot, where the sole meets the leather, seems to have been skipped over in quality control. It was separated a little right out of the box and it doesn’t look like it was sewn all the way around the heel area.

The boot is water proof still and it doesn’t seem to be causing any issues. I travel a lot for work (on the road now) so it makes sending the boots back very difficult for an exchange and I need boots for work so I can’t afford to be without them.

In all honesty I’m glad I bought them, they are very comfortable and seem to be well built except for the one issue I wrote about.

I didn’t want to review boots in a box so I’ve waited a week or two before submitting this. I seen the Facebook ad and just got tired of dropping 300. 00 for boots that lasted 6 months so took a chance and ordered the slip on version.

They came wonderfully packaged as if I bought from a store. Shipping was about a week or so for me. I applied the mink oil right outta the box and it darkened the finish a bit. As with all leather products they were a bit stiff at first but were true to size.

I worried they weren’t gonna be wide enough. My worries were for nothing cause they are perfect. I can’t speak for the longterm longevity as they’ve only been on my feet for 3 weeks but they are comfy.

The insoles are very cushioned and my feet have stayed dry in wet conditions. The ease of sliding the boots on and off my feet and my foot locking into the boot has remained good so far and my knee pain from standing on concrete has disappated.

All in all I would definitely recommend giving these boots a shot and watching your own transformation from skeptic to believer.

So far, so good! I have only had these boots a couple of weeks but so far they are really comfortable, the waterproofing seems legit, the leather seems to be good quality, and they look good. I was concerned at first that they were going to cause blisters due to some minor heel lift and rubbing at the ankle areas but that worked itself out and is no longer an issue.

I have been wearing Chippewa Edgewalkers the past couple of years which are extremely comfortable but they tend to wear quickly which is why I decided to try the Bolducs. I can’t say they are quite as comfortable as the Chippewa boots but they are pretty close once they break in some.

I haven’t had them long enough to make any judgments on their longevity but they seem to be well built and I have no reason to believe they won’t last as long as any other decent brand of boot I’ve owned and I have tried them all.

I would definitely suggest giving them a try. If you don’t care for them Brunt seems to stand by their products and offer a 30 day return policy even after you wear them on the job so really you have nothing to lose by trying them.
