20 Best Work Boots For Mud (2023 Updated)

Ive has these for a week now. I work in a kennel and deal with a lot of water to clean them as well as concrete and tile. I love that i dont slip in these boots on wet tile like other similar boots. They are flexable with is amazing because ive had boots split where they bend when squating.

My feet also didnt hurt nearly as much as they normally would in a pair of new boots worn all day long. They were a little tight at first but the leather loosened up quickly and they are very comfortable.

I also love that the sole is sewn on, with extra on the toes to ensure it wont come off, ots also a thick sole so i dont have to worry about them wearing out fast. My only complaint is that they are meant to be water proof but my feet are still getting wet.

Im going to try sealing them with an oil and hopefully that will fix it. Id suggest getting the next size up with boots (you wear size 8 1/2, id get 9). I gave 4 stars because the water is a major thing in my job and it is extremely unpleasant to work 8 hrs or more with wet feet, but otherwise the boots are amazing.

Bought for work as a delivery driver for fall/winter use. These are my third pair of Carhartt Wellingtons. last pair lasted for 9yrs. This is the first insulated/WP pair. Insulation is light but they stay warm down to around 20⁰ but don’t get too hot when it’s 50⁰.

Love the rubber armor around the bottom! Very stiff and great ankle support. Average traction. After 2 months they are wearing well. They are stiff when new, mine are just now breaking in. Seem to run a bit small as usual.

consider buying ½ size larger than normal especially if you use thick socks. They’re not cheap but I’ve found you get what you pay for with boots. Lastly, they look great. the black bottoms really set them apart in appearance & function.

This is my second pair and the first pair have held up really well. The only reason they dont get a 5 star is because around the 8-9 hour mark on concrete floors my feet tend to get sore. I have had other boots that last between 10 and 12 hours before my feet get sore.

Over all a good boot. If I’m sitting at a desk or operating heavy equipment off and on during the day my feet are great in these boots. They could use a better cushioning system. I have talked with younger guys that dont have this issue, but they are in their twenty’s.

I could wear concrete shoes in my twenty’s without complaint.

Have worn Muck Boots almost every single day for roughly the last four years, for work in kennels, dog walking, nipping to the shops, really just about everything. I’ve had a few pairs in that time as I do really put them through their paces – they tend to last around a year to eighteen months before getting a hole either in the upper or the sole, which I think is fair enough given the abuse they take! As my current pair, in the ‘Tack’ style, have become too holey for any kind of damp/wet weather, I decided to get a new pair.

I usually go for the Tack, which is no longer available, or the Hale, which unfortunately was out of stock in every colour in a size 3. Becoming desperate, I decided to spend a little more and order the Chore.

When they arrived I was pleased, they look good quality and are a bit more sturdy than my previous styles. When I put them on, they felt ever so slightly tight but that is normal with a new pair and I expected that with a little wear they would stretch like all my previous pairs have, so foolishly I decided to go outside and do some work to wear them in a bit.

I took them off after an hour and had lost all sensation in my toes – they almost seemed to have got tighter rather than looser! I don’t really want to continue wearing them because I’m concerned that they might damage my feet.

I did realise that I shouldn’t be eligible to return them as I had worn them, but hoped that customer service might at least offer some form of alternative if I explain that I had had several perfect-fitting pairs of Muck Boots in the past, all the same size as this pair, and that I can’t really afford to buy yet another pair at the price (finances having been hard hit by Covid), but that I need boots for working.

Unfortunately I was just asked if I had checked the size guide on the website (I had, I have a 22cm foot so a size 3, not that I should need to as all their styles should fit the same and all my previous Muck Boots have been size 3), and then told that they can’t accept returns of worn items.

With a clean up they’d be almost like new. Now left with a choice between wearing ill-fitting shoes and potentially hurting my feet, wearing my old leaky ones, or spending money that we don’t really have for another new pair.

A shame as I’ve always been so impressed with my Muck Boots and can’t find much else like them.

I received these as a gift for when I want to do some casual fly fishing in the creek by our house. I wore them on day one and was in the water for only a short time before hiking upstream to try a few different spots from the bank.

On day two I wore them in the creek again, which was about 8 inches deep. Before long I noticed my left sock was soggy. A short while later my right sock was soggy. When I got home I confirmed both boots where wet inside.

When I held the boot up and pointed the toe at the ground, water started coming out of the seam where the rubber half-circle on the heal meets the sole of the boot. This leak was present on both boots, and on both sides of each boot.

Muck boots have a great reputation so this is probably an isolated issue, but it is still an issue. I hope this review helps them identify what went wrong during manufacturing so they can fix it and save future customers from the hassle of wet feet and extra trips to the store.

These work amazing (when they work) and are comfortable in muddy, water filled conditions. Not cold either. Issue is that you have to make sure they are 100% waterproof. I HIGHLY recommend trying them on then test them in water up pass the seams with the soles.

Just cover up your entire foot then rotate, flex and bend as you would in uneven ground. If you feel any micro leaks then they’re probably going to be bad. I used my first pair live in a stream and I had occasional leaks (just a drop or two, so very small leaks) when moving through mud.

It happened more often on my left boot than my right. Mind, my socks never got soaked but you can’t mistaken the kiss of water on your socks so I got through the day just fine. If you don’t test/use it in similar conditions (lots of water) you probably won’t ever notice this.

Since these are advertised as 100% waterproof then they better be and it’s price. My first use was 99. 99% waterproof at best. At the very least, these micro leaks hints at where the boots will fail at and which one will fail first.

Hopefully this is a fluke since the boots are great otherwise. I got a replacement incoming so hopes it goes well. Edit: Replacement pair went through a bucket test with me flexing my feet without any lick of water.

The first pair was like within 5-10 minutes of me feeling it without the amount of flexing I did with the test pair to get any hints of water. I’m going to keep the review as a three star due to the need to even test my purchase.

I’ll update if this fails too.

I just ordered my 3rd pair of Lace Up Georgia Mud Dogs in 4 years. I have been getting about 14 months per pair and honestly could probably stretch that another few months. I live in Michigan so I put these boots through every type of climate and whatever Mother Nature throws at them.

I work Commercial Construction both indoor and outdoor all phases. There is nothing these boots can not handle (Concrete, Mud, Flooring, Roofing, Yard Work, Snow Shoveling) all while remaining extremely comfortable.

At a minimum I wear my boots 6 days a week 10-12 hours a day if not more. They have been comfortable from day one, but once they get broken in there is no comparison in comfort. Pro Tip – Purchase a Boot Dryer.

No matter what type of boot you have. I put my boots on a boot dryer every night before bed. This helps the boot last longer, feel fresh every morning, and definitely keeps them from stinking. Got my first 5-6 years ago for C$89 and have worn them on the farm and working in the bush at least half the year since. Back in the spring they needed new heels and the stitching around the outsole started unravelling.

Looked at new Muddogs and was shocked to find they would set me back about C$200, plus shipping & duty and that none of the sale discounts applied to Canadian orders. Unfortunately when I tried to get them fixed (who does that anymore?) found it was going to cost not much less than new ones.

Best boots I ever had but no way I could pay those kind of bucks, so will wear the ‘Dogs until they fall off. In meantime got some Muck boots that are comfortable, so far are doing the job and on sale cost me less than half as much.

I think quality has gone down on these I’ve brought georgia boots over decade. I always buy this mud dog style and I’m a slippon guy lace ups for me always leak. My current pair 150$+ I buy from local store started leaking with with no visual damage.

So they went straight in the garbage I work at treating plant. Nothing dangerous just oil but inside boot is nasty. They where 3 months old I came here to see reviews mostly postive I just couldnt see spending that much again.

I wouldnt buy work boots again all my old ones lasted over year. BUT I did just buy 2 good looking pairs to for around town because these boots have ALWAYS been more comfortable then wolverine or any big name brands.

I want spend 150 nor will my wife let me again to see if they leak so buy at your own risk mine leaked with NO visable damage and thats a first. So I’m stuck with work provided rubber boots that are painful but FREE.

I would recommend always buy some Georgia boots for comfort but not to be waterproof there having problems.

I work in water wells. I’ve had these boots for about a year and a half now. They are very comfortable in winter and summer with the right socks, they are waterproof all the way to the top, and they fit great.

I am replacing them now because, as i said, i work in mud and puddles every day and they have finally dry rotted where the toe bends behind the safety toe. I never oiled or treated them and they lasted this long.

I will probably take better care of the next pair and hope they last even longer. Very satisfied.

Great boot for the price. Not a bully/heavy boot. Comfortable good fit. Only had the boots for approximately 3 weeks. Holding up good. Work in heavy industrial area. I would highly recommend this boot.

These boots do what the features say but they just feel awkward. Three outer coating appears to be durable and hold up okay. They are waterproof, which goes naturally with not being very breathable. However, they don’t start stinking like other boots I’ve had.

They flex like they should. But the boots just don’t feel right. When walking it’s like wearing a pair of big rubber rain boots; clunky if that makes sense. They don’t look very appealing and look very bulky for some reason; like a pair of cartoon boots or clogs.

The size is correct but maybe I have a very narrow foot. I have tons of Carhartt gear, head to toe, but these were my first Carhartt boots; and probably my last.

I have problems with my Wolverine. In fact, I bought them over a month ago, and I haven’t worn them until now, and I’m still wearing my old boots from another brand. The problem is that when I went to buy them, I only tried on the right boot, and it felt perfect; but this week I decided to wear my new Wolverines, the left boot presses me down and makes my last two toes ache with every step I take.

You can’t walk or work like that. It is impossible. I compressed cardboard inside them, I compressed cloth inside them, and nothing… And I can’t change them at “Dicks” because more than a month has passed, and the receipt has been misplaced.

Now I have a pair of Wolverines that I’m not going to wear… I will never be able to use them, because the left boot was made wrong. 100 dollars wasted.

Husband works in the sanitation business and has worn just about every pair of top name brand work boots out there in relation to steel toe work boots. His work boots usually last anywhere between 4-6 months due to the job environment (slop from trash, rain, snow [winter], mud, etc.

) on a daily basis. The breakdown of boots usually occurs at the seams where the boot upper meets the sole. Shoe laces also breakdown and break. Some steel boots that he has worn have been proven to be uncomfortable as well.

He bought a pair of Wolverines last year and that pair lasted 10 months compared to other brands. He tossed the old pair due to the amount of garbage slop, grease, and wear at the toe end where it had began to break down causing some separation on the boot.

He also stated that they were comfortable to wear and more durable in the wear over time compared to other brands that began to fall apart at the seams, where the sole meets the top of the shoe tread, in a matter of a four to six months.

I bought his second pair this past Christmas for him after he was searching for a pair of Wolverines prior to December. The last hardware store that sold these boots stopped selling this brand and he had searched in town to find another, but to no avail.

Overall, he prefers this brand over others now due to the quality of the the shoe in its ability to withstand the elements and the comfort of the boots worn over the course of a 14-16 hour work day. I am buying him an additional 2 pairs of work boots.

This is a good work boot and I use it around the garden all the time. The treads grip well and it is completely waterproof. The reason I did not give full stars is that these boots run very large. I am a size 10 E (wide) in dress shoes.

I need to wear two pairs of thick socks and the size 10 I got still feels loose. I missed the return window to exchange for the right size so have been working with them. Also, maybe related to the size issue, the tips are fairly loose.

I have pretty thick calves and these boots are still loose on me. So after a day of yard work or power washing, my socks get soaked or I constantly need to remove them to take out random debris that falls inside and starts to poke.

I wound up tying plastic bags around my calves and shoving them into the top of the boot to try and block things going in. See the attached picture my wife took of me power washing our brick walkway, I dropped it so you can see what they claim to be a size 10, looks to be at least a size larger if not a 12 in the picture.

The plastic bags I stuffed around my calves have already slipped in, more there is still room around the calf, can you see how easy it is for dirt and stuff to slip in? For the price I’ll live with it, no need to ruin my nice Timberlands doing yardwork.

I like that these boots protect my feet and my shins, cause I do bump them as times. Very heavy. And I’m glad I didn’t go a size up (I’m an 8 in women’s, 6 in guys) cause they would’ve been heavy and loose.

The left toe is also very tight. The right one is normal. Been wearing these for 3 weeks at my new warehouse job, and my feet still haven’t adjusted to these boots. Taking a loss and finding another pair that’s more comfortable.

If you want to spare your expensive work boots from harsh chemicals, sewage, mud and water, this is it. I use it for work and home. I like it so much that I’m buying another pair, so I don’t have to worry about packing it in my pickup.

The cost is a great value, knowing that it’s paid for itself if it lasts more than a year.

These are not just the most comfortable “rubber” steel toe boots I own, they may be the most comfortable shoes I own period! I have to wear steel toe chemical boots for a living, and I have tried many other brands.

These blow them all away. Almost all of the others are not made in America, and are absolutely horrible. The others were too thin in the soles and you feel every little pebble you step on, and the steel toes would bite into my toes.

These are much thicker, and have a more aggressive tread. (the tread does pick up and hold mud for a long time. ) These also have an actual foot bed that looks like it was designed for an actual foot! I can wear these for 10+ hours without any problems.

These are made of PVC, and are perfect for working around the Caustic base type chemicals I work with. They are not insulated in any way, but if I wear wool socks I am fine down into the upper 30’s for short periods.

Longer if I am moving around a lot. I do wish they made a “lightly” insulated version of this boot! About the only thing I would change on these boots is to, “slightly” increase the diameter of the boot cuff over the calf.

They are a little too big to put pant legs over them, (even with boot cut jeans. ) but a little too small for tucking pant legs into without some effort. You can trim the cuffs down to a shorter height if you would like to.

Just take a razor knife to them, and trim to the desired height. Many times at the end of my shift, I would forget to take them off, and switch back into my street shoes. These are really that comfortable!.

This is great boot. I wear it all day when Im working. Thick sole has a long lifespan for a rubber boot. It has steel toe and a raised arch support. Over a good value for your money. Would buy again with hesitation.

Boots i usually buy only last a yr or so before cracking. Need to followup a yr from now on these. Initial outlook seems to predict a better outcome with these. We shall see.

I just so happens that the only shoes I wear are Keen boots! I must wear expensive insoles due to non diabetic peripheral neuropathy on the bottoms of my feet. So when the rep suggested this boot for the steel toes I was requesting, it was serendipity! Since my dear husband died, I have been doing all I possibly can to keep the house and property in shape, Part of that means that trees must come down, be sawed into lent=gths for the wood stove and be split.

So running the splitter is my part. These boots came in handy the last time we played in the wood pile! The protected the black and blue toe I got the last time when half of a 22″ round fell on my toe.

I have worn the shoes about five times so far, and I have been very happy with the purchase. They seem well-made, durable and waterproof. My heel seems to move slightly still, so I’m not sure if they run a little large.

Hopefully with me breaking them in more, they will start to fit even better.

I have bought several pairs of KEEN boots in the past and have always been happy. I did not originally want a steel toe but liked it after wearing for awhile. The problem came when the laces tore through the fabric eyelets.

they should have been metal or reinforced. The boots barely look worn after a year but I can no longer lace them with the torn eyelets.

I love the Timberland brand. You can always guarantee you’ll find fashionable, functional footwear that’ll last a future. Whenever I’m in the market for a stylish, quality pair of boots Timberland is usually at the top of my list.

I have Timberland boots for 10+ years that are still in great condition. When I needed a quick pair of steel-toe boots for work I immediately checked Timberland. These work boots are comfortable, despite being steel-toe and I wear them all day.

They have a lot of room so feet can breathe. If you are between sizes, always go a 1/2 size up. They look like the standard boots and had it not been for the label, you wouldn’t even know they were safety shoes.

I always get compliments on my boots when I wear them and often get asked if I’m from upstate. Overall, highly recommended. If you’re in the market for safety boots, consider Timberland.

I’ve been using the Grange boots for 15 years, and I’ve told lots of people to get them as well. They are the lightest weight and they are the tallest. These are the same boots but with a steel toe. I was worried they would weigh too much and add to my fatigue when I walk several miles in swamps, but I honestly can’t tell there are steel caps in them.

My only complaint is how they were shipped. There were no inserts keeping the upper leg portion straight. Instead, they were folded up in the bottom of the box. Any folds or creases in material like this winds up being the future point of water ingress.

I can’t believe they would get cheap and skip 10 cents of cardboard to help these boots last longer.

So far, a very well-made durable boot. I would say they do run exactly to size, and a half-size option might be nice. I normally wear a straight Size10, and ordered a pair. Very comfortable to walk and work in.

I wear this type of footwear all day, sometimes 10 to 12 hrs a day. When I get overalls on, they are a bit tight in the upper leg portion of the boot. A 10 and 1/2 could possibly loosen things up just a bit.

Size 11 too big. Otherwise, so far, they are everything the company write-ups and reviews said they’d be.

These boots were a disappointment. The bottom half of them are very thin and flimsy, and the description says they have pull up loops inside to help pull them on. What they have are some weird fabric and strings that lace up and snap together.

They go around your calf at the top. I dont know what good they do. These are cheap imitation of the boots I’ve had years ago. I’m sorry I bought them.

I was so happy when I saw these boots and they have it on my size 5-1/2! It was actually in the children’s clearance section and as soon as I tried it on, I fell in love with how comfortable it is to walk with.

I’ve been using it at work where I do a lot of walking and it’s like walking with tennis shoes on. I actually have another pair of Lugz Bootie in camel but not in this style and I love wearing both of them.

I get so many compliments when I wear these and I actually feel a few inches taller when I have it on. I did have to get used to it when I drove with it on for the first time since it’s heavier than my usually footwear but after a couple of wearings, it was no more issues stepping on the pedals.

One small little thing is I have to sometimes brush the dust off of it since it’s easy to notice on something so dark. I wish I can wear these everyday!.

Bought two pair and two weeks worth of wear and tear and so far so good. Would like more arch support and thinking about putting additional foot pad in shoe. Also would benefit from having pull loop on back of boot to assist getting on.

For the price appear to be a good deal for work boots but six months of wear will tell. (I have always bought two pair to alternate boots everyday to let them dry/air out).

I recently purchased these boots to wear for field work on a farm in Southern New Hampshire anticipating I’d need them in the field where we pasture our livestock (chickens, cows, sheep). They’ve outperformed my expectations as there were very few reviews on this new style and I’ve never owned a pair of “rain boots” or “muck boots” as an adult.

I think the size is true to form. They’re incredibly comfortable. The sole is removable and dries quick. The outer sole seems to be rugged, has held up on rough terrain through end of March and all of April.

I’ve even worn these hiking in the woods, they run up a trail quite nicely. I may buy another pair. I really dig the white and lighter colors because it’s easier for me to spot ticks, too! Would highly recommend to a field laborer and someone just looking for a sweet pair of rain boots to run around in.

I really like the flexibility and comfort of these boots! The main reason that I’ve docked them two stars is for their inability to keep my feet dry. We have had torrential amounts of rain in our area, and my boots have gotten completely soaked inside twice.

Yesterday, I was walking through my back yard in them and felt something cool. It’s seems as if water may be slightly seeping in from somewhere. Also, I took my boots off yesterday, and as I slid off one of the shoes, the sole insert lifted up and became all scrunched in the heel area.

It was difficult to get it to lay flat again. I’m not necessarily pleased. But, they are comfortable, I like the style, they’re very flexible, and would be great boots for drier climates!.

really disappointed. i usually love much boots and the brand. they SHOULD and normally last years. i just bought these earlier this year and they haven’t even lasted 6 months before they busted out. it’s really too bad cause these would be an amazing boot.

the fit is perfect and i love them a lot except they aren’t durable. only get if you’re literally foraging with walk paths. it they were thicker up until the ankle they would be great.

I bought these boots because they had great reviews by others, and the item description mentioned it had slip resistant soles. However, the soles were more slippery on ice than most other brand winter boots I have seen before.

The winter temperature drops below -22F where I live. In that situation, the soles become frozen, very hard, and shrink. The walking becomes very uncomfortable because the frozen soles make noise like going on high heels.

If the temperature is not extremely cold, these boots are comfortable enough. I don’t know what the designers had in mind. But I have to warn you they can be slippery on ice and pressed snow.

I’ve only been wearing these for a week but so far, so good. They are way more comfortable than other work boots I’ve tried (and didn’t buy) and yet they are stoutly built. I can finally stop trashing my hiking boots on construction sites.

The fit is a bit large for me; maybe I could have gone 1/2 size smaller, but on the other hand I intend to wear heavier (XC skiing) socks in the winter, so they are probably perfect for that. I probably can’t expect work boots to fit like hiking boots anyway.

Traction is good on wet surfaces – real important. Easy to put on and take off if you use the open instead of closed eyelets for lacing at the top (nice option).

I just bought this and I would like to ask the question, have you changed the insole? I bought this same shoe, well the light brown one, but anyways about 2 years ago and it was the best boot I’ve ever bought because the insole was amazing.

My feet never hurt, but this time around it feel less cushioned. It feels like very thin memory foam. Did ya’ll forget to put the right insole in this one or what? I gave it a 2 because these are nice-looking boots.

I’m more concerned about the insole. I will be swapping out the insoles. I paid a lot of money for this shoe and it should be worth it, but not this time around.

I got these boots a few days ago and overall they seemed fine. They where a little loose like I’m used to. But that’s what thick socks and insoles are for. But for some reason these just seem looser then normal.

And to find out that I apparently can’t return them cause they’ve been worn is kinda saddening, I’ve been a long time ariat only customer for boots and clothes. I’ve never had to even return something by ariat.

And to find out that customer service doesn’t apply it seems any more. I’m disappointed. As some one who used to ride with your brand on my back and a everyday customer.

I bought these boots a little over three weeks ago, and they have been by far the best pair of boots I’ve had yet. I used the sizing chart they offer and figured out my size (12D) and the boots fit phenomenally.

They are quite comfortable, and they broke in within a day or two. So far haven’t had any concerns with the durability, they feel quite sturdy. Working on a farm they take quite a beating, and they’ve held up better than my last pair of boots (Justin’s) so far.

Would definitely recommend.

I bought 2 pairs of these. An 11 and 11. 5, both pair feel like they are different sizes, the left boot feels like a EE, and the right boot feels like a D width. Wont buy a 4LR boot again. Will only purchase ATS.

Boots would be good if not for that. And btw 4LR tend to run a little narrow anyway. But yeah, both pair literally feel different sizes and kills my feet because of it.

So, I’m a monster on boots, meaning they DO NOT LAST, the soles usually wear out within 3 months or so. I’ve been a Buiding Restoration contractor my whole adult life, 24 years. I live in southern Wisconsin.

I’m in a constant changing climate. From -30 to 105°. is about the usual low to high. I have been buying boots for all these years and the quality of boots from fleet farm has gone down the tubes. Great leather, garbage soles, Cat boots ok, Red wing good, to expensive.

,When your buying 2-3 a year. Bottom line is if they make a work boot, I’ve worn them and broken them. I work from roofing, concrete, brickwork, carpentry, etc. commercial construction, residential construction, industrial construction.

Historic Building Restoration is the name of the company. We do it all and crush boots. I just received my first pair of these. I am so very happy I tried these and started purchasing other clothing from this company.

The boots are so far exactly what I ask for. All I want is a pair of boots to last 1 year and I’ll buy another. I got these on a sale, I think around $90. Its the best $90 I’ve spent in a long time. I even ordered some extras bibs for my employees.

I will update this if I the durability does not hold up. On my end I’m very happy. I am actually lording another pair or 2 with the discount today. DULUTH, I’m very happy so far. Jeremy.

Had planned to order soft toe, but clicked on hard to by mistake – and I’m glad I did. I’ve had poor experiences with “steel toe” protection in the past, just not comfortable, pinched my toes, etc. None of that with this boot! Very comfortable and ‘easy to walk in’ comfort right out of the box.

Fit and sizing was spot on as well. Very glad Duluth offers a medium width, my narrow feet wobble about in wide boots and I don’t get the support I need. These boots are sturdy enough for work around the ranch, stylish enough for wearing them to work in the office.

The only gripe i have is that the insoles did not offer enough arch support, but in fairness i have high arches and need support insoles for almost all my shoes and boots. Highly recommended.

A fan of everything that I have from Duluth, but often skeptical of footwear that claims to be waterproof, I went out on a limb and bought these boots. Sizing worked great for me, of course your mileage may vary.

I demand comfort and utility from all of my clothing and gear, usually wearing clothes that I can both work and play in. After owning the boots for several months, but still wearing my composite toe boots often for work purposes, I hadn’t had an opportunity to try out the waterproof claim (dry summer here in Arkansas) until I was helping facilitate a Cub Scout camping weekend in October.

Finally, it rained, but it rained most of that weekend. I was helping shuffle campers from their vehicle in a parking field to their camp site areas. I had some back up boots if these failed, but after setting up our camp on Friday then riding my ATV around through the rain a good chunk of Saturday, I was blown away to find that my feet were dry as could be.

I wear wool socks year around to help wick sweat, but these boots stood up to the trudging through rain and mud for hours on end. Getting home Sunday evening, my back up boots were never needed and I was sold on the performance of these Grindstone boots from Duluth.

I cannot speak for the longevity of these yet, but they have not shown any unusual wear or signs of breaking down. As an aside, we were still under a burn ban from the dry season. it sucks to camp in the rain and not even be able to have a camp fire.

I wanted chunk soles as I work in mud, waterproof obviously but I wanted a boot that was not cold like ordinary wellies. The thermal lining is really great in cold weather but not too hot on a general day.

Add in the moulded style (I cannot see these “splitting at the seams” like many wellington) plus the safety elements and these boots tick all my boxes. Brought size 5, they come up good to roomy. Highly recommended, great service too.

Brill! Wide calf size 5 Womens. I have 41cm calves and these are great. Comfortable, good quality, supports instep and I can get my leg in them! No problems at all. Happy customer.

So far, so good. Comfy and appear to be well made. I’ve had numerous pairs from other manufacturers develop holes very quickly, to my huge disappointment, hence my hesitancy, but these seem more robust.
