As with many of the natural (non-stained) pieces in Grimm’s toy line, I might recommend customers open upon arrival (and perhaps building in extra time before gifting) so as to let the natural oil scent* dissipate.

This was one of our first Grimm’s toys purchases. We were not disappointed! The quality is great. As soon as we received our package, we ordered more Grimm’s toys from Bella Luna. We have used the rainbow pieces in marble/ball runs with other Grimm’s toys and my toddler has really enjoyed it.

It is a very versatile item that can be used in a lot of different ways. When we’re not using the rainbow in marble runs or as tunnels for cars, it looks really nice on the shelf as playroom decor!.

Definitely one of the best toys I’ve ever bought for my 3 years old son. He absolutely love this Grimm’s Sunset Rainbow set and the Grapat Tomten Nins. These toys allow my son to be in his own “flow”; he can easily shift from telling a story to exploring new ideas.

The learning and exploring opportunities these open ended toys bring are limitless. I highly recommend this website too. Alexis and his team are so helpful (I encourage other parents to read his blogs as they’re so packed of ideas and information!).

The block set itself is nice. The colours, the size and the overall quality is good. Sadly, one of the cylinders piece arrived cracked and I believe some of the pieces are not well painted (we can see the wood a bit).

Also, there’s no room inside the box to put the longer stick with the cord in (maybe I’ve miss placed the stuff in it. I think a picture of how it all should be placed inside in an instruction manual would be nice).

Also, the magnetic wheels don’t stick together, as shown in the stop motion pictures for “teaching gravity part”. I also wish the little bag that comes with the block set matched more with the Lovevery signature fabrics.

Finally, the most important, I wish there was a little booklet play guide coming with the box (just the ones that comes with the Play Kits) that would show how to introduce the different activities to your toddler.

The big poster is not very convenient to use and don’t tell much about the different learning possibilities and the possible “milestones”, same for the “digital play guide” which was in my opinion a little deceptive.

I was expecting a little more. Despite all that, it’s worth buy the product. My daughter loves it!.

Lovevery never ceases to amaze me. I bought the play gym when my son was about three months, and he played with it for almost a year. At around 16 months I bought this for him, and it has been an endless source of fun for him ever since.

I know this might seem expensive, but when you see how many ways you can play with this, it makes up for probably six or seven other toys that parents usually end up buying anyway. Currently my son loves the threading toy included in the block set, and has really mastered it over the last few months.

He also enjoys the magnetic car components, and of course he just loves building block towers. I can’t wait to see how he continues to use it over the next several years of his life. This is a generational toy.

Buy it, you seriously won’t regret it.

I purchased this for my 2 year old and am very happy with this product. Good quality: wood is well sanded, velcro is solid, and painting is vibrant and has really cute details. I was happy environmentally as well that it came with no plastic wrapping.

I deliberated about whether to go velcro or magnet for this toy, but after reading reviews on other sets where the magnets did not hold the pieces together decided on this set. I’m glad I did: I was concerned my toddler couldn’t cut through the vegetables but it’s easy enough to attach the velcro lighter and he does a surprisingly good job of putting enough pressure to do the cutting either way.

Loved it enough to buy the fruit set from this company now too! Thanks for making a good quality item looking forward to a childhood of fun with them!.

AIRLAB WOODEN PLAY FOODS FOR KIDS – 5 stars If you want to give your youngster practicing cutting food, this is the set for you. Included are 7 different vegetables, each halved and connected with velcro.

This makes for an enjoyable cutting experience, much better than when magnets are used. Specifically, you sort of “saw” to get through the velcro. Also, should the velcro become damaged, you can easily replace it.

A lovely wooden tray and ultra-safe wooden knife round out the set. JAMOHOM PLAY FOOD TOYS FOR KIDS – 4 stars Similar to the above set, 5 vegetables are included. There is also a small wooden tray and the same wooden knife.

Everything about this set is smaller than the one above. Still, it’s a good little set and it will get the job done if your objective is to have your child practice cutting food. JOQUTOYS 27 PCS WOODEN CUTTING FRUITS VEGETABLE SETS FOR KIDS – 2 stars PROS: – Cutting board.

Two knives. And a peeler. It doesn’t really do anything, but then this set is all about pretend play anyway. CONS: – Nearly every item comes individually wrapped in its own plastic bag. Very environmentally unfriendly.

Also annoying. – There’s a child sporting a hat and apron in the product page images. They were also on the overall list. These items were not included in my set. – The wooden produce pieces are held together by very small magnets.

As a result, the two pieces are snug; there is no room for the knife to get in there and saw like with the velcro above. Also, as soon as you’ve separated the two pieces even a tiny bit, they fall apart.

There’s really not a whole lot of “cutting” involved. – Seafood is included. It has faces. – The cherries and the orange are the same size. – The green pepper and several other items are unrecognizable.

– A kiwi lollipop and an orange lollipop are included, although the latter looks like lemon. – The wood is not as sturdy as in the first two sets. I started wondering if it was actually wood. – No storage, just the box it came in.

BOTTOM LINE: I’m just really not impressed by this set. REMOKING FOOD TOY SET (35 PIECES) – 4 stars This set is less about cutting food and more about the overall experience of playing with pretend food.

While some cutting food is included, there are also many other items such as pots and pans, plates, a spatula, etc. In an interesting twist, the basket lid doubles as a shape sorter; shapes are included along with stickers which make them fit in with the overall food theme.

The food itself is plastic, but the connections are velcro. While I still prefer the wooden produce, the velcro connections do make this a satisfactory cutting experience (although the plastic knives are inferior to the wooden ones).

Overall, it’s a good versatile set.

My toddler enjoys playing on it and using it as a wobble board. The edges are very smooth, so no fear of splinters and the curved shape also allows it move very smoothly on carpeted surfaces. The only thing is that the water-based stain seems to come off very easily.

My toddler spilled some water on it, and when I went to wipe it off. the stain also came off with it! I’m a bit disappointed in the quality as it’s made for toddlers and children, and they should take into account how easily things are spilled with little children around.

Really sturdy! Love the open ended play with this item. My 2 and 4 year old was so excited to play with it when we opened it. It did arrive cracked and chipped though. We returned it the next day and I immediately ordered a new one.

Was able to purchase this game during an Amazon lightening sale. I bought 3 sets. Grandchildren love this game. Seven year old quickly got the hang of it and challenges grownups with speed and accuracy.

We modify the game for the five year old to build confidence by taking turns building the face on the card. The two year old likes manipulating the blocks to make the faces to match mine but is not into using the cards yet.

I keep the game where they can see it but have to ask to get it to play with an adult present. I like the box size, design showing the game pieces on all sides so the kids are drawn to the game, and ease in storing the pieces after we play together.

Extra games have made excellent gifts for nieces and nephews.

Love this for a ten minute game. Matching emoji faces is not a hard thing but challenges quick thinking. Was surprised it arrived with prominent PRESCHOOL label on game. Might be insulting for some but great item for indoor recess grades 1-5.

Even my sixth graders liked it for change up game. Cheaper than other sites. Arrived quickly.

Lots of fun. Got for 8 year old granddaughter. It’s is lots of fun. We had a ball playing. Gifted it to many others. Who can make the face fastest. That’s the game and it isn’t as easy as you think to win.

I was debating getting my 20 month old a smaller rainbow but I’m so glad I chose this one. We love the vibrant colors of this rainbow. Initially, I was worried it would be difficult for my little one to maneuver because of the size of the larger pieces but that’s not the case at all.

The pieces are light weight and have a texture to them that makes it easy to grip. The grain of the wood is beautiful, very high quality. My little one loves stacking and using the pieces for open-ended play.

So many possibilities and will be enjoyed for years to come!.

We had received a different brand as a gift and replaced it with this one after the former broke on the second day. This one actually holds up to play! The craftsmanship shows in the way it fits together like a puzzle.

We appreciate that the colors have not rubbed off on fabrics or little hands and that the texture adds to the versatility of stacking. It’s been a favorite of our children, used daily, with countless opportunities for creative imagination.

Beautiful for birthday gift idea and i like so also shipped from Germany to Belgium for that i was more happy because i don’t need to order to my address and after to ship it to another country but i was really happy.

it has the most pleasant sound as the beads slide on the bars. The elastic line makes holding it easy, not frustrating at all. so he’s building confidence and fine motor skills at the same time. I’m glad I got the plain natural wood.

My grandson stays fixated on it for several minutes at a time and keeps going back to it. so far it looks like his favorite gift. such a happy win! Even his father likes the skwish and wants one for his office as a stress reliever.

The toy came packages securely. Came on time. My new baby loves this toy. I love the clean natural look feels and durability of this tether sensory toy. If youre getting a new baby or you have someone in your life with one.

the Manhattan toy skwish is for them. Their little chub hands and feet grip easily in the slim rubbery elastic soft bands that tangle in a nice shape and they can coordinate this toy from just a few weeks old.

Get one. Get two!.

I bought this toy for my baby when we was around 2 months old. It was the first toy that he really was able to play with. The thin stings & wooden rods made it easy for his little hands to hold and it’s light enough that he could easily move it around and make rattling sounds.

Now he’s almost 5 months and he still loves it – now to put the wooden ball ends in his mouth for teething.

I loved the idea of this fishing game, but the fishing pole itself breaks every time we use it (which I then have to rethread and try to fix). Both fishing poles came undone after 3 uses- meaning the string that is the ‘fishing line’ somes untied and out of the reel.

They were handled fairly gently, ie no pulling on the magnet or string or reel portion. Also, the bag that comes with this product was basically Velcro getting stuck to everything and pieces falling out I resewed the bag to have a drawstring at the top and cut off the velcro.

We LOVE Melissa and Doug products and have at least 50 items in our house that we use. We promote pretend play and avoid electronic toys. I’m so disappointed in this product. Hopefully they can find a better design or reconfigure their production of this toy.

My two year old daughter absolutely loves this set! I gave it to her for Easter and every time she goes into her little house/kitchen, she always grabs these and dumps them out of the crates/boxes and will pretend to cook with them by putting them in a pan, or have me take a bite out of them.

They’re definitely mostly large enough that I would say there’s no choking concern, but the hotdog is quite narrow, although it’s so long it hasn’t been an issue for my daughter. She has a set of plastic food that she’s bit into when she was younger, and they’re still indented with no real way to get them back to the right size, which isn’t a problem with these since they’re solid wood.

Definitely I would recommend this set if you want to get your kid a good amount of quality food for not that much money.

Took a long time researching wooden baby walkers and I so glad I decided on the Brio. It is fantastic, very well made, brightly coloured, stable and best if all it has a ‘brake ‘ facility which is a screw that you tighten up to make to go slower and so doesn’t run away too fast.

Definitely helped grandaughter to have the confidence to walk by herself. Thanks Brio. Everybody who is looking for a Baby Walker should buy this one.

My 10 month old grandson has started walking against the furniture. This toy is sturdy and safe and he loves it to help him get around the room.

Looks beautiful and my little one loves it. I can’t give it full stars though because the center pole is so thin that it really seems dangerous. I’m constantly having to move it away to make sure my one year old doesn’t accidentally fall on it.

I feel like they could have made the center much thicker. Otherwise it’s lovely. Just a bit hazardous.

Beautiful vibrant colors and tactile feel. I bought this for my playroom for my grandchildren ( age one and three ) , and they both engage with this one. I am so happy to have found such a lovely resource for beautiful quality wooden open ended toys.

I absolutely love this wood toy. The quality of Grimms is amazing. And it looks completely natural. I love the rainbow colors, and my little guy loves to build with the rings. This was definitely a great purchase, and I love the way it looks on our playroom shelf.

Such a high quality set of blocks! We gave these to our 3yo for his birthday nearly a year ago; since then the blocks have seen lots of play time and are still in excellent condition, despite often being used for drumming and even a bit of swordplay.

We often get to see towers, and sometimes there are castles, bridges, and other structures. So classic, and it allows for great learning and imagination. Just the best. I find it quite easy to put the blocks away nicely if you start with biggest blocks and work down to smallest blocks last.

We often allow the 3yo to just toss the blocks in the crate, but his big sister enjoys organizing them now and then!.

We use these blocks in our classroom, so when my niece’s birthday rolled around I knew this would be a perfect gift. A durable and classic toy that can be passed down for kids to enjoy for years to come! If these blocks can withstand several years worth of second grade play- there’s nothing your kids can do to destroy them haha.

These balls are perfect! My son loves them. Great size and perfect for his little one year old hands. We play with them with his rainbow. He loves the vibrant colors on them. The texture of them are nice and grippy and you can still see the wood grains underneath the paint which is super nice.

Overall, we would highly recommend! I would buy this for a gift for a friends kid. Very study and I know they will last for years and years. They have a nice weight to them and the quality is of high wood.

We have even saved the package to store them in. Love that nothing is plastic.

I can’t say even good things about these. My kids love to play with them. The vivid colors inspire them to make them into icecream, dragon eggs, and jewels. The size is wonderful for my toddler… NOT a choking hazard! My older child uses them for ball runs and games.

We also have the Grimms sorter and use these 6 balls plus 6 peg people in it. Eye candy for me, and useful and fun for them. That’s a win win :).

I have yet to give these wooden balls to my baby son of 7 months, but I hope to gift these for Easter. I hope he will enjoy playing with them as the size and weight seem suitable for a baby. I am looking forward to him growing with this toy.

I read many reviews from a British toy store and from Bella Luna and this toy seems very promising.

I purchased this because I thought it looked cute but it’s turned out to be an amazing toy. My 15month old son loves stacking it in different ways, while my 3 year old has used it as a tunnel for cars, fencing for her “zoo” and a “fairy playground” amongst other imaginary play.

Its also great quality and I like the tasteful colours.

I bought these for our newborn, and it caught the attention my three and four year old boys, who really also enjoy these now. The size is well-proportioned for small hands. My baby enjoys grabbing at the bowls and knocking them together and of course knocking them over.

Makes a nice wood sound. You can stack them many different ways, roll them, use them as bowls, etc… Versatile toy. Bright attractive colors. I also bought one for my sister’s one year old. It is one of their go to travel toys because it’s easy to transport.

I was hesitant to get the nesting bowls because we already had two other sets – a plastic one and a silicone one. But I figured with a one year old, the more stacking toys the better. My goodness. This set took over as the family favorite nearly the instant it was delivered.

It has been used on the nature table set up, it has been used for bowls and medicine cups, it has been used as a swimming pool for smaller figures or a watering hole for animals. The texture and colors are beautiful.

The colors are fun, bright and beautiful! My daughter definitely enjoys turning them into a cake and stacking with them. However I find the smallest one too small and the largest one not big enough. We had to take the smallest one away for a bit as she likes to put things in her mouth still at 2.

I am going to put these in my twin granddaughters Easter baskets! They are only 18 months old so have to be careful toys are large enough, that they can’t swallow them. They have never played with small balls before so anxious to see how they play with these.

Our grandchild actually chose these dolls from a page of Bella Luna toys we sent! The bright colors are so attractive to toddlers! The size is perfect for small hands! And, we (as grandparents) chose to include this toy on our list because of the quality.

These rainbow dolls will provide many years of educational play since we purchased the matching sorting board with the dolls.

Originally I ordered something similar from Etsy, but they were too small and a total choking hazard. These are so much better! My 15 month old still puts everything in his mouth and these are too large to choke on.

– perfect size. We also ordered the board to go with this. My son is not yet able to match the colors, but loves arranging the peg dolls in the boards holes.

I added these wonderful figures to my childs’ (ages 3 and 6) Easter basket this year and they were in instant hit. Since then, they have been incorporated into all kinds of imaginary play, from truck rides to the newest residents in the doll house.
