This is a great stove for what it is, an inexpensive stove that you would expect to cost more when you unbox it. First, the negatives: 1) The door gasket fell off during the initial burn off process.

(Not a problem since they are too thin and would have been replaced anyway) 2) The top section is a spark arrestor (a solid top with about six inches of holes drilled all around it). Two problems with that: It WILL leak rain into your stove and I think it hinders the drafting process.

I will install a rain cap and probably take an angle grinder and cut off the solid top. 3) It can leak a good bit of smoke from the front of the stove. (The solution for that is to keep most of your fire in the back of the amply long stove and be sure your damper is open before you open the door.

Once the fire is going it draws well) Now all that sounds like a very negative review but the price point and the fact that all the nuisances are easily remedied, makes this an attractive stove for me.

after researching the competition, I bought two; one for a small storage shed cabin conversion and one for a large shooting house. I would buy another one in an instant. Great little stove.

If I made any changes to this, it would be to have a 6 inch flange on it and omit the stovepipe. The pipe is odd sized and fits upside down. Which is probably ok for a temporary tent setup but for a permanent stove, it needed a regular chimney setup.

The door seal will need to be redone, and it could benefit from adding a baffle plate. But for the price, this stove is amazing and really throws the heat. I am impressed with it for 1/4 the price of another stove.

I would recommend it. Especially for people using it in a canvas wall tent or for a shop. The little nitpicks are minimal issue and easily resolved. It’s well worth it. Make sure you burn it hot outside before brining it in to heat anything because the paint really does need to burn off.

The firebox is very good. It is just the right size for heating my tent. The door latch was difficult to close and to open, but after 30 or 40 uses, it broke in and now works easily. I would like larger vent holes, but usually they are fine.

The chimney pipe is bad. It is much heavier than it need be, and it is an odd diameter. I could not find any pipe of that size for sale anywhere. Since I needed a couple of elbows, I had to replace it with 4″ stovepipe and build an adapter to make it fit.

I am satisfied with it now; it works very well now that it has been modified and broken in. However, I would not buy another. Fortunately, it is tough, and I doubt I will ever wear it out!.

Perfect size, a little on the heavy side but it’s worth the strain. Used it about 5 times so far, no warping and the whole thing is very easy to use. Only problem I’ve had so far is the cooking disc that you take off to cook on, when the stove metal expands in the heat the thing can be impossible to remove.

So much so that the tool is on the verge of bending when trying. It’s lucky I don’t use this feature and neither do many others, in fact a few of us believe it should be removed completely. Other than that, it would be nice to have a brush with it in the package, I’ve had to purchase one separately to reduce the possibility of flue fires and the Winnerwell brush is very good.

It cleaned out the pipes in one go back to nearly shiny metal again. The price is high, although you will know why when you open the box and fit it all together. I haven’t once regretted getting one, now I just need to find a tent with a stove jack for less than 150 because I’m now skint!.

For the price of this stove, I was prepared for disappointment. but that never happened. There are limitations to any small stove, but within those, this thing makes me very happy. I use my stove inside a 25′ long RV trailer — about 200 square feet and tall enough to stand up in throughout.

I made an adapter to pass the double-wall adapter through an open window, and I set the stove on a low bench inside, with the flue passing out the window at a 45. It’s not perfect but it beats freezing! The top of the flue is guyed back to the wall of the RV with two thin cables on turnbuckles — this is mandatory when using the 45s otherwise the wind will spin and blow over the flue (only when the stove is off — when it’s on, the joints expand and are tight).

The coldest I’ve used the stove in was low 20’s with 8″ of snow coming down, and I was giggling in shorts and a t-shirt inside. I fully expect (but have not tested) that this stove could maintain comfort into the low teens, and probably keep my rig quite livable down near zero.

The stove will run at a low temp, but that’s fiddly to do. It’s hard to keep it burning well when it’s that cool (and also keep it hot enough to avoid creosote). A stove thermometer is very helpful for this.

Mostly though, this stove likes to run wide-open. You can damp it down if you have good wood, but this weakens the draw and the stove will puff back if it’s windy outside. I’d love to see a venturi flue cap to solve this.

Note that “wide open” usually means about 30* of damping on the flue and the inlet damper fully closed. If you allow in more air than that, the stove will glow cherry surprisingly fast. Even without getting it cherry red, the stove walls do warp some — to be expected (and acceptable) given how thin and light the construction is — but if you keep it below cherry the warping is manageable and all the doors and latches operate without binding.

Get it hotter though, and you may be in for trouble. I strongly recommend a stovetop thermometer (the version meant to go on the stove body, not the flue). Lay it on top beside the flue exit (magnetic ones won’t stick to the SS).

My use is primarily space heating, but I boil water and have cooked on it, too. The fold-out side racks are very sturdy — I don’t hesitate to put a full 2Q pot on them — and more useful than I expected, especially for drying socks!!! You can’t see it in the online pics, but the pivots are designed so the racks are tilted slightly upwards so when you put a pot on them, they sag down to be level.

Details like that are SO important! The stove body is not airtight. This obviously includes the cooking opening, but there are also gaps in the welds which I think might help reduce warping. This is fine — once you learn how to keep it drawing, smoke leaks aren’t an issue — but it means you can never really shut down the inlet airflow.

That’s why the flue damper is not optional. It can shut down the stove in a hurry. If you’re running any outside section of the flue non-vertical, rain can come into the flue when the stove is off. Partially it blows into the spark arrestor but mostly it sticks to the outside of the (cold) flue pipe and then runs downhill from there, getting into the joints.

It will either drip down inside the stove or drip out of the pivot for the flue damper; either way it ends up on the floor behind the stove. The 15″ length is simultaneously a relief and a frustration.

Other small stoves on the market are cube-shaped and you have to saw down every piece of wood you feed them, since most wood you buy is bucked to 16″. If you’re lucky it’s a bit short but if you’re unlucky it’s a bit long.

Because the door of the Nomad is full-width, if you split your logs down small – like less than a baseball bat in girth — you can load them diagonally into the firebox — but it’s close. I generally end up sawing about half my store-bought wood so it will fit.

This is a major advantage of the Nomad over the Woodlander, which has a narrower front opening and can’t really do this. Ideally, though, you want short thick logs for a slower burn that doesn’t require constant attention.

Long skinny splits burn fast, so you’ll be filling the firebox every 20 minutes. Cleaning the flue isn’t as bad as I feared. The instructions say to clean something like every 20 hours. but I went probably a full 30-40 before taking it down last time, and buildup inside wasn’t bad.

That was burning some pretty low-quality (but dry and not sappy) pinyon pine. I think the thermometer is so important for this, so you get it hot enough and keep it hot enough to prevent buildup. The available cleaning brush is effective, but a bit tedious to use by hand — I screwed a long hex female coupler into the bottom so I could chuck it into my drill : ).

I love it. Very logical design. Really not that much more expensive than other brands, and much nicer than most alternatives. I’m glad I got the large. It’s not too big. Still fairly light. I haven’t been able to use it in my tent because all of the other accessories are out of stock.

stove jack, triple wall pipe, elbows and 45s, etc. I wish it had a 4 inch stove pipe or a 3 inch stove pipe because I could use other brands to configure it. I think they went 3. 5 so you have to buy their stuff, but the problem is it’s not readily available in the US.

At least not right now. I can’t even find a pipe brush for it. One other thing is the plate on the top was a little tough to turn and remove. I noticed there were some burs on the metal where they had punched the wings out of the plate and they were causing it to get wedged in place to where I could not remove it without taping with a screwdriver.

I sanded those wings up to get rid of the burs and it’s much better now. Other than that, it’s really a nice stove and I think the best of its kind for the price.

I am extremely happy with this stove. Once it gets hot, (which doesn’t take that long) I am able to comfortably heat up a tent that measures 12’x24’x8’ high. We camped a few weekends ago and the outside temperature it -30C while the inside of the tent held well around +25.

I did have to add insulated tarps but once I did, we were able to stay in there with no problems. Made the night of fun with my family that much more enjoyable. I do like the fact that everything can be put inside the stove for travel.

I did have to modify the flu as I used 2 90 degree elbows to channel the smoke out, but that didn’t affect airflow. The flat top is great to cook on and I purchased the hot water tank so we had hot water the entire time we camped.

The two only things I don’t prefer is the legs need to have the screws on tight so they don’t fall off and the door doesn’t have a window. (Something about seeing the warmth I guess). Otherwise I am extremely happy with this and have no doubts it will be used for years to come!.

Here are some ideas for Improvements: 3″ Metal Wheels on Bottom. Add Folding Handles. Bend a 2″ 90° on piece of Steel/Aluminum to use as a Poker, Make sure fit inside. Use a punch set to label Chimney Pieces so they are 1/1,2/2,3/3, etc.

Add 1 Pg Manual with Tips. Add Spring Loaded Clips (see pic) to Legs or they fall out while moving. Add Fiberglass Gasket to door & Air Vent or stove sucks air and burns wood in 1 hour. Add a set of Welding gloves, Hatchet, Mini Torch, and Fire Starters or Fatwood to your kit.

Second one I have bought. First one went to a Northern BC first Nation who wanted it for their wall tent. So i bought a new one on sale from Cabelas. Light weight and effective heater and useful for heating water, cooking, drying.

The only issue i had was the gasket around the door fell apart quickly? That’s an issue for slow burning. I hope the second one has a better gasket.

I brought this two heat and cook in my handbuilt 16 x 20 log cabin. This has a loft and the steep pitch to roof and is not insulated as yet. This little stove is excellent for heating at space despite the lack of insulation at this time.

I also make coffee while I complete the work inside. I’m very happy with this unit.

i know now ,that since i bought this stove i will NEVER be cold in my trailer as long as i have either coal or wood to use as a source of heat!as a matter of fact it works SO WELL that i will always have to either crack open a window or the door, cast iron stoves once they are HOT they stay that way as long as there is a fuel source for them,am very pleased with the AWESOME Black Friday sale discount ,normally it sells 4 $489.

Not the best wood stove I’ve ever owned, but with some modification it gets the job done. As others have said for some reason China made the pipes backwards. To fix it I’m going to cut the widened part off the top pipe and weld that part on the flange part that bolts to the stove so all the pipes are not correct.

Very strange. The legs broke, the welds came apart and the top parts opened up. Had to reweld those too. The front door had a broken hinge, welded that up, but it being about the worst grade of cast iron, no idea how long that will hold.

Sportsman did send a replacement door, arrived in 3 days, every impressive customer service. The fit of the new door on the front of the stove is so bad that I’ll be sticking with the repaired one until that breaks.

The gasket they put on the door fell off the first time the door closed. There is a 1/4″ gap between the top and bottom of the door to frame, and that is with the better fitting door. But, I’m using this to heat a greenhouse and mounted it in a air box outside and use duct’s to get the heat inside.

No way in the world would I put this inside of any structure I was in.

I’ve seen reviews about the gasket missing or coming off, and I’ve read reviews about the previous versions. So I was nervous about this updated model. It was well built, nicely packaged and shipped.

Arrived on time and no damage or missing parts. I followed setup instructions and did the initial burn as suggested. Worked like a champ and the gasket seems unphased by a three hour burn. I like the damper and vents as it seems to really work well to control the burn rate.

I had zero problems with this. I think the only question is how the chimney stacks connect. I’m not a design engineer but thinking it would be better design to allow stack into stack below so it could drain into firebox vs.

stack over stack below which would allow creosote and water to drip out on sides of chimney making for a mess. I plan on using an increaser adapter to go to a 6” standard pipe which will resolve that issue though.

Overall – solid build, works great and perfect price point!.

Product needs to be quality controlled better on the assembly line. Firebox wasn’t welded in a true square position so when the door is closed there is a 3/4 inch gap at the bottom of the door all the way across ( actually wider if there wasn’t a fire gasket).

Welds were subpar and inconsistent. Product produces heat well but after doing a seasoned burn I know I will not be able to use this product in my kodiak canvas tent without finding a way to mitigate the amount of smoke escaping the firebox as my tent is fairly airtight.

If you read the directions it isn’t epa certified as an indoor stove but is supposed to ok for temporary use outdoors or in a tent. I probably would have been better off spending the extra money on a Colorado wood stove.

I supervised at major outdoor retailer call center and I have a good idea of what customer support will do regarding the issues. I can return the bulky product and exchange or return it. I customized a $700 tent to fit this stove, it has an odd size pipe that I won’t be able to use a different brand stove with at this point because it has flashing custom installed for this stove.

So that makes just retuning this and getting a different brand not an option. So I’m left with exchanging this and it’s a gamble if the next one they send will be as poorly assembled as the first or if I just hold onto the first and try to mitigate the smoke escaping.

I would have given this a much better rating had the stove been welded better. I have been a customer of the sportsman guide for over 25 years. This was a 40th birthday present from my wife.

I bought this (Nomad View large, 3. 5” pipe) for my back porch so I wouldn’t smoke out the neighbors. I ended up getting all the accessories. It puts out a lot of heat, easily going to 750+deg if you let it.

I like the oven because it traps radiant heat and projects it outward. I have since purchased a canvas bell tent. We have camped, cooked, warmed ourselves on this stove for over a year. Best purchase for camping I have ever made, and I’ve been camping for 40 years.

I modified my stove with 1/8” gasket on the windows, and 3/4 gasket and a bit of gasket cement on the door itself. This helped control the airflow better to control the heat while cooking. The only con is slight warping in the steel on the water tank side of the stove.

I did break the original glass because I cleaned the stove with dawn soap and water. I replaced the glass (easy) and never had an issue. I think the duffle from winnerwell is too small, I purchased a 36” duffle with wheels that does a much better job of holding the stove, oven, extra pipes, triple wall pipe, etc.

I bought a higher quality thermometer from amazon that sits on the stovetop (although the stove is not magnetic) you can compare the stove box temp to the oven temp to control heating while cooking. It takes some experience, but absolutely you can cook on this stove off grid.

frequently. I cooked for 25 people for a week on this stove using Lodge cast iron pans and pots. I use a stove top pressure cooker, and a stove top water distiller as well. I love it so much I bought a second one.

Spend the extra money and get the larger one. It’s not huge, but adequate to heat a 6m bell tent (300sqft).

I purchased a wood stove from tractor supply from “us stove”. I have owned it just over 3 years and it has been used approximately 50 times in total. A few days ago my husband went to load it with wood so we could enjoy a nice fire and we found 2 large cracks on either side of the front entrance of the stove.

One of the cracks is so bad that you can see through into the stove! We contacted “us stove” only to be told that it was out of warranty. We were also told that we could have it welded on our own dollar.

What it boils down to is the company sells low quality stoves that are not well made and are fire hazards. I am in contact with my attorney and the BBB and despite the fact that it was out of warranty, it is still a quality issue.

The stove was poorly made and now is a fire hazard. This company is a joke. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF.

I bought this stove at Tractor Supply while it was on sale. So far I am very impressed with this stove, especially for the price I paid. When I get the stove going, I do not have to use my main heating system and the temperature in my 1900 square foot home built in 1971 rises.

The stove is more efficient than I had imagined. I would say the negative side of this stove would be the door seal. It does work, but it does take some getting used to. It adjusts by threading the handle in and out and if you don’t have it in the right position it is either too tight or too loose.

I have since figured it out and it works great. I overall, I would highly recommend this stove for someone who is getting into using a wood burner. I imagine I will be using this for the next 10 years easily.

It is an item that is well priced and does what is expected of it and that is more and more uncommon these days.

This stove easily heats my 700 sq ft basement which includes a bedroom and bathroom. Very efficient considering the amount of wood burned and heat produced. Maintaining a low burn provides plenty of heat for this area.

Stoked up for an overnight burn and burning damped fully down, I still had coals in the morning about 8 hours later to rekindle with. Based on a few nights of use, it kept the entire basement plenty warm (low to mid 70s F) with outside temps around 15 degrees F for about 6 hours before it began to slowly cool down and drop into the upper 60s.

By then it was morning (about 8 hours later) and time to rekindle with the remaining coals. Running it in the day with the stairway door open, it will heat the upstairs as well (700 sq ft, 2 bedrooms and bathroom) so long as a steady medium burn is maintained throughout the day.

I haven’t attempted to heat the upstairs overnight. It would probably be chilly in the bedrooms (low-mid 60s) as the stove cools during the last few hours. I have another slightly larger stove (designed to heat 1200-1800 sq ft) for the rest of my home (1950 sq ft).

Running both at a low to medium burn (based on position of damper) I have no trouble heating the entire 3350 sq ft (maintaining low-mid 70s) when outdoor conditions are teens/twenties F. As with any small stove, the only limitation for this one is having a long overnight burn.

Even stoked with white oak, you’re looking at 5-7 hours before it’s going to begin cooling off; however, if you’re there to feed it, it is capable of heating 1500-2000 sq ft unless your floor plan is prohibitive to air flow.

A ceiling fan in reverse, if in the same room as the stove, does a great job of mixing and circulating the air. It will pull cold air off the floor, push it down the walls, and across the stove. Cold air from other rooms (with doors open) will be drawn towards the room with the stove helping to heat the whole home.

I bought this one week ago and I’m disappointed that I did. I was replacing my 18 year old wood stove of another brand. The description of this stove matched my old one in size and heating range. I figured 4 people gave this stove 4 stars and some great reviews, sounds like the stove for me.

I like the style of the stove and that the bricks were already installed ready to go, and I really like the size of the opening to put logs in, much easier than my old stove. That’s why I gave the stove 2 stars.

But the main reason I bought the stove was to heat my home. The damper control does not seem to have any affect on the fire in the stove, it’s like it’s open all the time. So my fire burns hot and fasts every time.

I go to put another log on the fire and it’s already burned out, no coals left to relight another log, just ashes. I’m lucky if the fire will burn for 3 hours.

We had that stove professionally installed and it works like a charm!! We used it all winter as our main heating source and even at -40C of Sk cold weather it was super cozy in the house. I didn’t have any issue with the smoke coming out.

And the only time the door is open is to add a couple logs!! You have to keep to front window clear of creosote (might be called something else). I used water and vinegar with a paper towel. works perfectly to keep that clear view of the fire!!.

Heater looked fine when it arrived, but as we were mounting the legs the hole on the base to attach the leg, broke off as we were tighten the bolt. We had to return it to the store, but haven’t been able to get a replacement.

I have a 2900 sqaure foot home. 2 floors and this stove heats it no problem. Love the box size – HUGE! Things that could be improved – I had to use door as 2nd draft. I only close it tightly at night to retain coals.

Ash pan can only be used by pulling out and filling with shovel. Inside lid to remove ashes is useless with hot coals covering it. Door handle does not stay on. Only use it to shut tightly at night. Every wood stove is different.

Good price, heats well, hold coals so not restarting fire. My last wood stove was too small for my square footage and I did heat damage trying to heat. Not happening with this stove. Highly recommend if you have a 3000 square foot home to heat.

I recently was in the market for a new wood stove to heat my home. I own a contracting company and could purchase what ever I wanted so I enquired to several high end wood stove retailers. I found through an ad that Home Depot was selling the Englander NC-30 2400 sq foot wood stove.

Now because it was Home Depot, I was extremely cautious about purchasing anything from a large department store chain versus a high end professional wood stove retailer. I decided to research this Englander stove and discovered it offered the same options, specs, etc, that the high end $2000-$3500 wood stoves I was recently enquiring into.

At $1137. 00 I became very, very cautious. I decided to purchase the Englander thinking at that price, it was disposable, if I was not happy, I would discard or use the Englander stove in an ice fishing hut If I was wrong or unhappy with my purchase.

Now In Thunder Bay, where my construction company is located, its -48 below, we have had an incredibly cold, cold winter season. I purchased this stove and sent one of my staff members in one of my dump trucks, to pick myself up a dump truck load of cut, split birch wire wood.

I have installed this stove with an insurance approved double walled chimney system. I loaded this stove with the unseasoned, semi-green wet birch wood. The stove immediately burned this wood properly because of the totally controllable bottom, air draft lever.

This stove heats my 2500 sq foor home with zero issues, in fact, in you open the damper, its 28 degree’s in my home now. If your in the market for a new wood stove and do not purchase this stove at the incredibly low price of $1137.

First off, realize that this is a low-priced big stove. That means it will not be perfect, but if you need a constant large heat output at a low price, no stove will beat this one. It is rated by EPA as very clean burning, meaning it is efficient.

But you will need to keep the fire larger & hot to hit that mark. If you will be burning occasionally to take the chill off, or small fires, or burning unseasoned wood, this is prob not the stove for you.

This stove should be used like a furnace: once warmed up, keep the stove/chimney warm, fire/coals going all winter. Note how several reviews below mention the stove is difficult to start when cold. Several reasons for that.

Someone mentioned the firebrick was heavy & “not the ones that are mostly air. ” Lightweight firebrick is designed to INSULATE the fire so efficient operating temperature is reached very quickly. The heavy firebrick used in lower priced stoves is designed to ABSORB heat and reflect it back at the fire, so it needs time to WARM UP.

1)- In a cold stove, build a couple small HOT fires with kindling & smalls to warm both the firebrick & the chimney. Use a liquid fire-start to get hot from get-go. Open a window. If you want to burn occasionally, allowing the stove to cool between fires or want to burn smaller fires, replace the side firebricks with the lightweight “pumas” type and keep an inch of ash on the bottom.

2)- This stove does not have an air-boost system. So keep the door open a bit until fire is going well enough to sustain the secondaries. (Don’t leave the room!) This is also the reason why lots of coals are generated when draft is mostly closed for long burn times.

There is no system to get air from the front/center along the bottom of the stove. Lots of coals also indicate that the draft was closed too much. Many folks assume that long burn times R the goal, but that usually DEFEATS the purpose of efficient burning.

A smoldering fire is wasting wood-as-smoke-going-up-the-chimney and will result in excessive coals. Someone was complaining about smoke escaping even if U open the door very slowly. That’s not the stove’s fault; it’s usually a drafting issue.

Is your chimney clean? Is it properly sized for the stove? Did you make a couple small hot fires to first warm chimney to create good drafting? Why R U opening the door while the fire is burning? Learn how to build a fire with larger pieces at rear and smaller towards the front so the door will not need to be opened until the load is reduced to coals.

Use liquid fire-start to get a hot fire quickly in a cold stove. Drafting issues are common in newer well-sealed houses. Turn off dryer and bath fans. Crack a window. Install a fresh air supply. Negative air pressure pulling air down the chimney can also occur in poorly insulated homes.

Heat rises, and with large volumes of heat moving up through the floors ceiling and walls, air can be pulled down the chimney. The key in both sealed or leaky homes is to focus on getting and keeping that chimney warm.

If U have a masonry chimney, it can take several hours of hot burning before the chimney is sufficiently warm. Reline a masonry chimney with stainless steel for safety & efficiency. Outside chimneys should be enclosed in an insulated chase, esp in colder areas.

If you don’t want to spend a bunch of $$$ on chimney updates, then realize that your chimney also needs “feeding,” so run the stove hotter. Realize that a stove is only one half of the equation. Successful wood burning requires a proper and happy chimney as well as a firebox.

This stove is massive. fits perfectly in my kitchen. I need to heat my house and may as well cook at the same time. So far I have braised beef in the oven. I made potato leek soup, omelets and fried egg on the cook top.

Managing temperature is a matter of draft and size of firewood, but, I am beginning to understand the dynamic. I am very pleased with the cooking. I was worried that the fire box barely holds 3 big logs for overnight burning.

Each morning my house is warm and I have had hot coals in the firebox. I am hopeful that it will keep my house warm when the winter arrives. So far I think it will heat will and meet my needs, heating about 1800 sq ft through the coldest nights.

Great and Worthy experience. This company certainly deserves its excellent reputation! I am very pleased. With very few fireplace stores, we had concerns about finding a competent and trustworthy fireplace.

Simply beautifully designed. Very efficient. Looks gorgeous in our mid century modern home in a corner space. Will save us $$$ on electric heat bills and is easy to clean with fireplace glass cleaner.

A update. So what they want for the stove I would say do not buy. For a little more I would go with the model 1 up from this. Its hard to explain because tractor supply wont let me say what I paid in December for this stove lets say forty percent less then what they have it listed for now.

And then you get the ash drop through damper in the front and you can put ALOT more wood into the stove so for fifteen to twenty percent more buy UP. My biggest complaint is how much wood it will hold you can see on previous post pictures the size wood I am using.

I cant get more than too of those pieces to fit into this stove. So at this price please go one up its not worth what they asking now.

So far it seems like a great little stove. Definitely read the instructions several times as they are a bit confusing. And definitely open windows the first few fires while all the oils and what not burn off, it stunk my whole place up to the point I had to go outside for fresh air.

It did a good job heating up and holding its heat and I was impressed with how long one log would burn for. The glass on it started getting a dark hazy color to it once it heated up, it started in the corners and worked its way almost too the middle.

Not sure what that is about but I hope it will be able to be corrected. Overall, I would buy again if I had a need for another.

The construction of the stove is probably as rugged as your gonna get for a small stove and overall I’m really happy with it. Here’s the problem, it comes with 12 in legs, though they will be happy to sell you the proper size separately.

The same goes for the spark arester, its just a mesh bag that goes over the pipe. Again their happy to sell you a proper rain cap with a spark arester. And last but not least the stove comes without a door gasket.

same deal there. Had they included the proper equipment a 5 star rating wouldn’t have been out of the question. The $ for the aforementioned items comes to about $90 split the difference an charge $45 more for the package maybe.

I am a miner that lives in a Alaska bush camp in a wall tent. Purchased the Timberline stove package last week while mining in Arizona. This stove rocks. I need to cook and heat off grid and this stove does that with ease.

Have had all the rest now I have the best. Remove the coal grate and put gravel or sand up to the door and use hardwood for fuel if you can.

I purchased the Alpine model stove in 2019 for a large custom tent. I ordered the stove from the company and within 3 days it arrived. Unfortunately, the door latch was damaged during shipping so the door would not close completely which would cause an unacceptable draft.

I sent a video of the this to the company and they immediately rectified the problem. Incredible customer service. The new stove performed flawlessly. 5 degrees the first night we used it and we were comfortable in t-shirts.

We loaded up the stove, set the damper and door vents it kept the tent room temp for 7 hours. Very pleased, I highly recommend this stove and this company.
