LEGO have been stepping up their game each year. I remember what their sets were like back in the 80s and 90s and this set (along with many of their Star Wars sets) blow me away. I bought this set for my father who has a Volkswagen Vanagon Camper Van and he absolutely loved it.

He is currently putting it together and he is in awe with the engineering involved in putting together the different sections. This is a must get for anyone who loves LEGO’s, vehicles, or loves this style of camper van!.

Had a lot of fun building this set. Just the right amount of challenge. Details are pretty awesome. Pretty durable as well. My kids dropped it and only lost a few pieces. Real easy to repair.

What another fabulous example of Lego and Volkswagens commitment in building quality adult collectable. I now have the Beetle, Kombi, and a Vespa, plus the Ghostbusters Ecto 1 on display with many other Lego creations and look forward to the next new relaese from Lego and Volkswagen.

The positive sides were: the welder (it’s our first blowtorch!), Freya McCloud (I really liked the personalization that was done with LEGO city in 2020; some of the minifigs finally have names), the firefighter colored helicopter handle, the emergency motorized vehicle (the biggest of its kind we’ve ever built and my son likes it) and I learned how to build a pipe with several pieces.

As in many homes, the flight of our helicopter is unpredictable 🙂 The weather conditions are however stable, the pilot always has the OK from the control tower to fly away, but sometimes he doesn’t fly away or he doesn’t go very far.

I tried to understand the why in order to see how I could make it fly for sure. I noticed that it is lighter than a Junior model because all its parts are not built with conventional brick. When you make it lighter, it flies better.

The helicopter and the propeller weigh 24 grams, the minifig and the cabin window weigh 14 grams. Our best flights are without the minifig and the glass. The flights that are a little less amazing are the ones with the glass, but without the minifig.

Another reason that can explain the difficulty of the flights is the take-off; the helicopter has to lift itself from the handle to fly (15 mm), if it doesn’t gain enough height the helicopter will stay in your hands.

In order to do this, you should not be afraid to pull the plastic “cable”. As my son is 3 years old, he still doesn’t have the strength to pull and facilitate the takeoff. This doesn’t prevent him from enjoying the propellers turning while he steers the helicopter with the handle.

In the end, maybe the set would have been better appreciated if it had had a gear mechanism that would have turned the propeller without making it fly; the handle would have had a crank that would have helped to turn the propellers.

This is by far one of the best value sets Lego has ever created. If someone asked what the price was I would assume £24. 99-£29. 99, not the bargain price of £14. 99. In the box you will find 3 bags, 3 instruction manuals and a sticker sheet.

Bag 1 is the red tow truck which I was pleasantly surprised by the cool features and size plus the cool black police motorcycle. Bag 2 and 3 includes the police transporter with its simple but effective mechanism which allows the jail cell to pop off.

It also includes an exhaust pipe pointing upwards which isn’t very clear in the photos. Back to the tow truck, it has a clip to attach on the jail cell so after it explodes it can be towed. The wheel axles are extremely rare due to the red colour ( usually grey or black.

) This set is a great add-on to any city police set, especially 60241-46. I bought it with 60244 ( helicopter transport) which was also better that expected. I am really pleased with the 4 minifigures, of them being from the TV series, Lego City Adventures.

The Clara The Criminal figure is really interesting because she has a very rare helmet. The Duke Detain minifigure is great but I don’t really have much to say as he is very common. The Snake Rattler minifigure is a great copy of the TV character.

The police lady is perfect for the driver as she is a double expression character, ( one being happy and the other being scared. ) Both the head and hair\ hat are extremely rare. This is a great set and I strongly recommend as a gift for an aspiring police officer and or Lego lover, Happy building!.

I am validating the poor experience of others who have bought/built this product as well as other Lego sets that use similarly designed helicopters. I bought it for my 6 yr old grandson who expected to see the helicopter fly/hover at least a short distance.

While overall product build quality is excellent, it became clear the helicopter was unable to even lift off of its own accord, let alone fly, from the launch device. On further investigation, it was evident that the downdraught/lift force provided by the rotating rotor was inadequate to overcome the weight of the helicopter.

The rotor, when not fitted to the helicopter, was easily able to lift off and stay airborne for several seconds after launching with the launch device. The poor experience of this product has now reduced my expectations for similar products like #60260 which have now been removed from my wish list.

It is disappointing the Lego designers did not pay more careful attention to this functional aspect the product to give a positive play experience. The rotor lift force and total helicopter weight must be readjusted/redesigned to give a net positive lift force.

Only then can Lego live up to customer expectations for producing innovative functional products for a positive play experience.

The Camper Van Playset looks like a lot of fun for the lucky toddler recipient. I ordered this for my granddaughter’s Christmas. She will be a couple of months shy of her 3rd birthday then and should be able to handle the little pieces without difficulty.

There are a lot of pieces to provide the 2 animal figures with everything they will need for their camping adventure. Everything fits inside the camper so the pieces won’t get lost if put away properly.

I think adult supervision is in order the first few times the little one plays with this set, but it offers opportunities for big people to enjoy the pretend play also.

My daughter opened this Christmas morning and was so excited and happy! Right from the start, we noticed this would be trick to assemble because no instructions were included. While assembling I noticed the swing set pieces were missing.

This props the camper open and allows play on the 2nd level. without these pieces, it did not function well and I ended up with sad little girl on christmas because we couldnt finish assembling her toy.

I tried to do a walmart chat and get the msising pieces sent , this was not an option without taking my childs toy away and returning by fedex. If the instructions and all pieces were there, i would have gave 5 stars.

the camper is of a good quality plastic. there are a lot of accessories to keep the grandkids(twin girls) busy for awhile. I was concerned of the size of the 2critters included. I didn’t see any dimensions on the webpage.

It did comment that 3 ” friends could be added. I have bought several items from BCP before and have always been satisfied. There return policy is very good so I took a chance on this “clearance item”.

I have been very satisfied with the quality and value of the camper. delivery was fast, packaging was good and the included critters were three inches tall. All the items can be placed back in the camper closed up and carried to another location.

I would purchase this item again.

I sat down to build this set with my daughter who is 8. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bags come numbered in order with all the pieces you need for each section. The instructions were easy for my daughter to follow and she only needed me to find her the pieces and guide her on placement slightly.

She really liked that she was mostly able to do it herself. It took about an hour from start to finish for her to have the whole set together. When she was done she started playing on it immediately.

It’s really cute and she spent a good while playing. It’s a good value for the price considering she plays with it daily for hours and is already begging for the other sets. I definitely reccomend this set.

This Lego Friends Hearlake City Park set keeps the kids entertained for hours. It is easy to put together and the pieces connect well. The attention to detail of this set is thoroughly enjoyed. The dance floor spins and is fascinating.

The little dolls make great imaginative play. They take a boat ride on the lake. The pinata is cute as are all the separate items. They love pretending with this cute set and I really like that it keeps them entertained.

I would recommend this Lego set.

The Heartlake City Park LEGO is so much fun to build together as a family and my daughter has many hours enjoying the fun. She loves the characters and squirrel and fun details with the balloons and piñata.

I love how she uses her imagination and creativity and comes up with never ending stories with her legos. The dance floor spins around and the swan float is a lot of fun. This would be a great gift idea for any occasion or just because.

This LEGO set was super easy to set up. It took less than two hours with my husband and daughter helping.

Got the camper can for our son for Christmas. Overall the build quality of the van was good, however the stickers for the front driver/passenger windows were too fiddly and just wouldn’t stick to the glass (plastic).

We’ve left them off and to be honest you’d never really know the difference! Our lad loves it and had fun building it, so that’s a tick in the box from me! :D.

Lego City campers are awesome and we have the last three plus this one. This set was fun to build and your kids will love it. if you already have some of them it varies enough will go good with your collection.

Recommend purchase. That said, of all of them would put this one last. Two of them had separate pulling vehicles and the other came with a canoe. These extra items add a lot to the overall playability of the sets.

Kids love to hid stuff up there. Include a net, fishing pole and some fish. My kids loved all that stuff in the other sets.

We bought this as a present for my 5 year old granddaughter. We spoke with her on Zoom a couple of days ago. She was very pleased with it. As far as we could tell within the limitations of Zoom the colours were very good.

Clearly she was able to build it (possibly with some parental help). Some of these quick build kits are very good and fit together very well. The ones that have been very good in our experience also include the Lamborghini Aventatdor and the Messerschmitt 109.

I bought it for my 3 year old grandson who is mildly autistic and he loved it. Unfortunately bits broke off it and husband decided to glue it but it still broke. My grandson was very upset. It is not a toy for playing with only an ornament.

We have replaced it with a stronger better one and he is happy!.

Very disappointing build quality as upright panels easily dislodged whilst fitting window panels. Front panel also separates when fitting roof panel. Rigidity is nothing like Lego, which i feel you are trying to emulate.

This is a relatively hard kit to build, but as a very old child I was able to complete it in a couple of hours. It would be challenging for small children as it has quite a few tiny parts and some that are hard to correctly identify.

Consider the completed kit as a model rather than a toy – as the latter I doubt it would last very long.

My son loves anything with wheels and legos. Put them together it’s a win win! As always, legos are broken down into step by step instructions so even my six (almost seven year old) can build it. Every year it’s the first thing added to the Christmas list.

My kids requested RV lego sets and i found this one for my son. He loves it! He’s 5 and it was fun to build together. It’s very realistic and has a big swinging door on one side so it’s easy to play inside as well.

My great nephew was anxious to open a gift so he was allowed 1 to open before Christmas. He was thrilled!!! I am very happy with that kind of response. Legos have been a perfect, well crafted gift in my family for years; prior to that was Lincoln logs.

I surprised my daughter with this beautiful book for Christmas. She is looking into renovating a van and living a year of bliss traveling the US in it. After many searches she has not found a hard cover book such as this one.

It is coffee table gorgeous! Great images and great info. She will love it for years to come.

Not really what I expected. It s more a photo van book than an informative book. The book itself is very nice and the pics are GREAT but. It do not take a long time before you get through it. it is not what I though.

As always from Haynes a very helpful guide. It covers a lot of the basics and some items in detail. Ihav just bought a van which I am going to fit out and this book will hopefully be very handy.

Rather dissapointed with this edition as i found there is little or no instruction on actually building a motorcaravan and too many references to a previous edition which i would also have to purchase in order to understand those references.

Far more detailed instructions can be found on various internet blogs. Author also wastes too much space advertising various companies who specialise in conversions. The whole idea behind my purchase of this book was to BUILD MY OWN so i expected reasonably detailed instruction,will not be buying the previous edition that the author seems intent on pushing.

I say it’s a little dated but this doesn’t reflect the seller at all. The book is great and I love the 90s style pictures but it gives you direction as a first time builder which is exactly what I needed!.

I’ve bought this for one of my grand-daughters as she loves camper vans. The only complaint I have is that Hermes left the parcel outside our flat door. Luckily one of my neighbours saw it and picked it up and gave it to my daughter when she came.

A bit different. Like old style meccano. Fun for son and grandson. Much enjoyed.

The item was supplied with damage to the outer case. Although it seems to work OK I would not recommend this supplier as I received no response to my emails. They even substituted the item from what I had ordered – without any notice to me.

FIAMMA are a good brand with great equipment. I’d recommend them to anyone.

I got home with product and it was a black case. I dont have energy or capacity to return so i have installed the black one. A little disappointing that the sales person did not check the order. I guess i should have.
