The purchase and delivery of the product was very efficient and fast. It arrived on time and I have since sealed and stained them inside and out with a generic deck stain. I purchased a silicone adhesive to attach the post caps to existing posts.

Most of the post caps I have purchased in the past rarely make it 5 years as they are constantly exposed to the sun. So I’m hoping for the best.

Great quality, consistent and easily stain/paintable. Easy fit to the top of the posts and all caps matched each other so that deck has the symmetry I want.

Very heavy and sturdy. We used 4 as legs for our quartz kitchen island. We got new shaker cabinets and they complimented perfectly. Painted them white. You won’t be disappointed in this purchase. Beautiful!!.

The cabinet columns (which I’ll be using for a custom mantle support) are great, well made and look identical when paired next to each other. The only critique is regarding the packaging/shipping – which did little to protect the posts from damage during shipping.

I’m lucky as one side will be facing back towards the tile allowing me to hide the dents/scratches, but others may not be so fortunate. Without this as an issue, it’d be an amazing purchase.

Overall satisfied but I had to use my own lag bolts for 9 of the 32 supplied lag bolts because the heads stripped when using a socket to install into pre-drilled holes. The heads fit loosely into the recommender 3/8” socket driver and the lag head often stripped when installing.

The head is too small. A std lag bolt head had no problem when installed.

I have a passion for good quality hardware and, unfortunately, it’s very hard to find. When I discovered the Ozco brand at Decks Direct, I almost started a dozen new projects just so I could use the hardware.

Since I’m not an engineer, I tend to ‘over-build’ things and since I’m not a very good craftsman, I need all the help I can get to make my projects look like they were completed by a professional. The retrofit I’m doing to an old, cantilevered deck is going to look great, partly because of the beautiful hardware.

I also added two of the post bands, which add a really nice touch.

This is one of the best engineered products I have found to use in my business of building cedar pergolas. Powder coat and design is beautiful. All customers have loved them. Structurally, they seem to be more than adequate.

Installers like working with them as well. They have become my standard post base whenever installing posts on a slab, for all the pergolas I do. They even have a built in margin to cover posts that may be full size or up to 1/2″ under size.

The bolt look hiding a timber screw is beautiful, works well, and very easy to install.

I looked at most of the box stores for 6 x6 wooden post caps, figuring that they would all be pretty much the same. I was wrong. At first I hesitated to pay a higher price at Decks Direct (almost twice that of Home Depot), but after comparing reviews I am glad that I spent the additional funds.

The quality of both wood and finish are MUCH better than Home Depot or Lowe’s. This is clearly a case of getting what you pay for. The packaging was also quite protective and the delivery to my home prompt and free.

I could ask for nothing more. They are a great product.

Great looking caps. Fit project well. Bought three to replace two damaged by a tree fall. Got one extra this time, and glad i did. Was sent one, unwrapped, with open miter. had been marked like it was returned before.

No big, was able to position against wall. But don’t send out returns next time :).

The post caps are really nice! Great product. The problem is they are very expensive. I only bought the 2 because they are replacing 2 I had that were very weathered and cracked. I have a 2 tier deck that’s made entirely out of cedar and has 17 posts with the same caps that are also weathered , but , not as bad as what the 2 I bought from you replaced.

If the cost wasn’t so high , I would buy more tp replace the others.

Purchased post caps to replace caps we purchased years ago (still good – except for squirrel damage now!). The top of the old caps we are replacing were cut from a solid piece of wood – no clued-together pieces.

Those solid pieces were then attached to the “molding” pieces underneath. They held up well until attacked by our critters! The tops of the replacements are constructed of glued-together pieces of wood, so I don’t know how they will hold up in the weather.

I am treating them with stain, etc. , and hoping. but not as hopeful as if they were a solid piece of wood, like my old caps! Service on shipping, etc. , was good, though. Just wish the product looked more durable — which it might be.

Just won’t know for a while!.

Post base plate and brackets are designed extremely well and very easy to install. Would recommend this without hesitation!

Looks great, my only complaint is that it doesn’t tell what size anchor to use. Called Ozco but hane not got an answer as of yet.

I am impressive in a good way. It is not solid wood, but it is wood parts pressed together and look and feel like solid. I got it to paint white and the result was not perfect, due to chip parts and the texture of the wood.

But overall I liked.

No extra post in-ground required. Very sturdy. White is bright & very classic.

They send a loosely fit cap to put on the top of the post. I called them, they send the cap with 2 holes to attach to the post. But screws heads are small, they go the through the holes. so you can see the holes from outside.

When it will rain the cap will fill with the water. I thought everything will fit nicely. Also I thought horizon bar will have the same width, but it is narrow. I did not like it as I thought I would.

This is a well made product. It is easy to install as it does not need a wooden or metal post to be installed first with this item placed over it. It can be cemented directly in the ground, so there is only 1 step to the process.

It is sturdy and heavy and should stand up well in a harsh winter.

I give the product 5 stars. It’s beautiful wood and quality craftsmanship. The seller and Houzz were less than stellar. 2 days after shipment was due I emailed, them phoned. Difficult to get a response from Houzz.

The shipment began 3 days later. I felt like they didn’t attempt to ship until I complained and threatened to cancel. You can do better!.

Our corbels arrived on time, were installed a few days ago by our builder, and look very nice even though they are not painted yet.

These are going underneath a Craftsman bay window. Perfect.

This hardware looks excellent on my pergola and everyone who has seen it, loves the final look! I love that it made it SO EASY to build the thing. I got to skip all the paddle drilling, lagging and gluing.

It was almost an enjoyable experience. If only it wasn’t a toasty dry 105 degrees out in Colorado that week.

I built a pergola over my to sunny back deck. Not only did Ozco brackets make the job easier but the look is even better than pictures. The bracket that holds the beam is extra special as it allowed me to hang the 16 foot two by twelves by my self! Also no splits with screws.

I am beyond happy with these caps! Between the very fair price, the looks, the ease of installation AND the 10 year guarantee! WOW! I built a small fenced-in area as an architectural detail around a horse statue in the front of our home.

I sized the fence to the scale of the statue which is about the size of a mini-horse. It looks great, with good ‘Curb Appeal’. I painted the fence a dark reddish color, to blend mostly with the shingles on the home.

We have used black and white (pictured) and both have a consistent and durable color. They material is also very durable, Oh yeah, they are simple to install which is a bonus.

I bought the pvc post caps to replace the original wooden ones on my deck that had rotted after only a few years. I had doubts that they would work as well but I was wrong. My new caps fit perfectly on my 6×6 posts, they’re super easy to install and they feel as substantial as the wooden ones.

They worked perfectly on my front porch. I put a clear-coat of paint on them.

The product is very good and exactly what the description said it was.

Very unhappy with this product. First, they are glued to their cardboard packaging. One broke and another was damaged removing them from the cardboard. They are very thin and fragile for use with a 6×6 post.

After assembling and then assessing the appearance, we threw all of them in the garbage. Waste of time and money.

I would have made my own if they had been identified as coming from China. The only reason I didn’t as a contractor is that time is money. Unfortunately the way they are packaged ended up costing me more time.

The skirts are both glued and stapled to cardboard. Pulling out the staples is OK, but having to remove the glue fo a professional finish was a pain. Would not reccomend.

Was looking for a long time – found what what looking for in this product;, cedar post skirts to complement my deck railing. i had to customize them to fit the posts as mine are 3. 25″ in size, these were larger albeit the smallest size available.

Will see how durable these are, the prior customized ones made by contractor lasted only 2 seasons in a SoCal outdoor environment.

We’ve been wanting to do a DIY fluted sideboard but the cost of using individual pine half round mouldings always gave us pause. While researching other possible options, we found polewrap in the HD website and decided to try it.

We were so happy we did. It was perfect for what we had in mind. We are now thinking of using it for more projects at home. The quality is great and the item arrived within 5 days.

Said Yes for all of the above. As yet not installed this but so far I am very pleased with the look and quality. Just waiting for it to be put up it will make such a difference as this is to cover an unsightly pole outside in my garden.

I bought 26 of these a number of years back. I just checked and every one of them is straight. Wish I could say the same for the four I just purchased. I’m doing an annex. I know from previous experience that these posts will last forever.

Just wish the new ones were somewhat straighter. Otherwise, the people at my TSC are very helpful and friendly. They always have what I need and the price is always right, even for crooked fence posts.

Load and pick your own post, do not let them do it. They are inconsistent in size and shape. Some are nealy 5″ some are 3″. Alot are bent, twisted and have bad spots. Be selective. They are treated but not well.

If you want them to last bathe or paint the entire post in used motor oil. Then paint tar on the ground contact portion and the flat part of the top. Its alot of extra work but the pole wolnt rot fora very long time.

First of all, if you read the Q&A’s people ask “how many posts to a bundle?” The answer says 88. That is not true. The bundles at the store look nothing like the picture. There are 48 posts to a bundle.

Second, I’ve purchased these posts in the past, and this time I was surprised by how poor quality the posts were. It appears that there is a new supplier. The old posts were from a mill in West Branch, MI and they were pretty good (4 stars).

The new supplier is from Evart, MI and the posts are junk (1 star). The size should be 2/8 not 4/5. They’re misshapen, and crooked and just overall junk, FOR THE SAME PRICE. I was lucky to find enough posts at my local store from the old supplier so I didn’t have to endure the junk posts they were trying to sell.

We ordered these online and they had them on a pallet when we got there. We drove many miles away to put in our fence and they had placed really poor quality posts in the middle of the pallet. We didn’t have an option of going back.

Sincerely worried about our fence. Pick your own.

Worked well for my fence. I needed an interior fence to keep my IR horse from the main part of the grass, and these worked well. I used heavier ones for corners and gates, but these were great for the rest of it, and quite economical.

I know like everything else right now these are hard to get. But when they are listed as “in house” and can be picked up, when I put the quantity desired in to add to my cart, they disappear. Frustrates the heck out of me!.
