This is the 2nd frame I’ve ordered from here. Even ordered at different times, the 2 blues matched perfectly. The quality of the frames is wonderful- beyond expectations!! The packaging was great as frames arrived in perfect shape.

I have finally found a perfect frame. All the specifications I was looking for are in this frame. The moulding around was just the right size, not too wide and the front was glass not plastic. Nicely made.

I just wish they also make this in size 13×13 which is hard to find.

The Ampersand Black Floater Frames are wonderful. My canvases fit nicely into them with great support on all four sides and especially supported in the back. I use only black frames for many of my exhibits and these fit in quite well.

I only wish you have them in much larger sizes.

The frame had a sturdy, well made construction with a smooth, high quality paint finish. The back has pre drilled screw holes and Ampersand provides a tool to mark the canvas position. It came with clear, illustrated instructions, all the hardware for mounting and hanging and was very easy to mount my canvas.

The way its advertised is not the way it looks! The picture hole is so small compared to how thick the frame is! Im too lazy to go and return , so i put it in the goodwill pile. So sad, i wanted it for so long.

This worked well for a last minute framing option. I was a bit disappointed with how it was packaged; the corners only had paper covering them and that did nothing from keeping the corners from getting chipped during shipping.

I ended up painting these with a custom color with I liked since I didn’t want a standard black or white frame. I would love to see more unfinished framing options offered.

I have been using these frames for years for my beach-y art. The quality is usually fairly consistent. This last batch had a couple that were off in measurement out of the 12 I ordered. I called Blick and they immediately sent out replacements.

The replacements are good. Thank you for the prompt, kind customer service. The only thing I may add that could use improvement- like others have said- I wish the paper corners were not stapled as they always leave dents and are a pain.

I could do without the stamp on the back. I would also LOVE more sizes!! Thanks again!.

This is by far the best looking frame they have currently. The only issue is that the largest size they offer is 16 x 20 and I would like this in a 18 x 24 to be offered. It still has one of te same issues many other frames at Michaels has which is that it doesnt allow space for a mat or double mat and still be able to slide the back fasteners in place.

I would rather have to fill space than try to mash it in enough to secure the backboard. I will definitely buy more of this frame style but would like to see this issue fixed by the supplier.

The frame is beautiful. However, it arrived scratched. The back fasteners don’t completely close. They’re either too tight and won’t rotate, or too loose. The backing doesn’t seem to fit quite right, there is a little bit of movement back and forth that it was really hard to center my artwork and get it to stay put.

I bought the 11×14 mat and I couldn’t get it centered because of the movement. Overall, I’m disappointed. The wood is high quality and it looks great.

We love the look of this frame, and it is nice quality. The only problem is that it does not accommodate a double mat. One it’s in, the little tabs that keep the back on will not go into their slots.

We had to tape the whole back piece on rather than use the tabs, but we thought it was worth it since the frame looks so nice.

They will not post your review if it does not benefit their product! False advertising and fake reviews! Big corporations selling inferior product to make a buck! Made in China! Enough said.

Aggressively cupped. Not really rocklers fault, I guess, but unusable and the boards cost more than they would have from another supplier. Just go to the lumberyard locally and pick your pieces yourself, at least then you can grab screwy lumber that is usable for your purposes.

I am making custom knives, some of which have a large tang with a curve in it that requires a 3″ wood piece. I liked the grain pattern in this wood so I ordered a 1″x3″x24″ board. The grain pattern is great and it stands out terrifically with a shellac finish.

The ;problem I had with this board is that it has a bow running the length of it so it won’t sit flat on the tang. I still managed to work with it and like the look of it so much that I ordered another piece just like it.

Hopefully the next one won’t have this problem.

I purchased three of these frames due to the color in the picture. Unfortunately, the color is not accurate. These “green-stained” frames are actually light OLIVE in color. If you want the color in this photo – don’t buy these frames.

This is my go-to brand of professional artist-quality shadowboxes. I am a professional Entomologist and an amateur artist and naturalist. I have used these as gifts and for shows, and I have specimens and art in my own home mounted in these shadowbox frames.

Love the wood and the concept of this frame. Was slightly disappointed that one of the corners had a small gap between the two sides, but didn’t affect the overall quality after it was on the wall. Otherwise, nice quality, fast shipping, good packaging and will order again! Highly recommend!.

I bought two frames, the 24 x 36 and the 16 x 20. Both are beautifully made and look great on my wall. The plexiglass was broken during shipping for the 24 x 36 frame (the box looked extremely beat up) and Scott was very responsive in getting me a refund to go and purchase a new one.

He also offered to ship a new plexiglass pane, but I opted for the refund. I appreciated that he gave both options for a replacement! I highly recommend purchasing these frames.

I am in love with these frames. I love that they’re rustic you could see the knots in the wood and they are perfectly imperfect. I also appreciated how the plexiglass came with coating on both sides of it that needed to be peeled off so that it protected the surface from scratches.

I bought three of these to display custom maps in my home.

These are sturdy well constructed frames. The design is very attractive and goes perfectly with the antique silk tapestries that I used with these. With all mass produced products there can be minor flaws such as with these frames.

There are a couple of very small spots that were nicked and the raw material shows through. I remedy this by using a dab of brown acrylic paint to conceal these flaws. Works well. I used the wire option instead of the hanging bracket.

The wire is necessary because the frames are on the heavy side, thus, it’s sturdiness. I am very satisfied with this product.

I needed a nice frame for a poster, and all the typical poster frames are cheap black standard frames. This was the only frame I could find that wasn’t a standard cheap black frame, and I had to cut the poster down to fit in it.

So I am thankful I found it. I do think it was about twice as much as it should cost, but I guess when your the only frame on the market that size, you have to pay the price for it. I like that it uses a plexiglass-glass instead of real glass.

The last frame broke when I tried to take it down and dropped it. Glass shattered and went everywhere. That will never happen with this frame, and I think it makes it lighter-weight than glass too.

The packing was superb, no problems with that; however, the corners were poorly stapled and as a result the entire frame twisted. Not a big deal for me as I can repair frames. Had to put it on a flat surface and re-staple the corners so they were more secure with heavy duty staples.

Original staples were too small on only a few on each corner. By fixing the corners the frame worked fine and looks great for the painting. A good value.

I very much understand what reclaimed wood is and that there are variations in the wood. My picture frame looks defective not interesting. Literally a hole through it. It looks terrible. I was offered my shipping back bc it was 20% off.

I was so excited about this frame bc it was for a very special picture. Wasn’t a great experience. The frame is beautiful it just has one random hole in that your eye immediately gravitates to and it looks ridiculous.

Showed it to several friends and they agreed they would not be pleased if that’s what they received.

I purchased this frame for a country watercolor. The style s perfect and the quality is excellent. I wish the hanger came pre-attached as I was afraid of damaging the frame putting it in myself. I also wish there was a hanger set for both vertical and horizontal pictures for future flexibility.

The quality and beauty of the wood and the style of the frame supersede, thus having to attach the hanger would not stop me from purchasing in the future.

I’m definitely disappointed in the quality and overall outcome of the frame. It is made of wood, but the “white wash” is just plain white. The outer frame is much thinner than the product image shows.

It’s not terrible looking, and we are going to keep it because it looks good with the picture we had in mind, but it’s not similar to the advertised photo and it’s not worth the $100+ price.

I like the quality of these frames and they offer a modern styling (compared to plein air frames that I normally use). I ordered two frames and both were damaged and dirty when I received them; the person mailing them clearly did NOT review the items before mailing them.

I was able to fix one by use a black Sharpee but the other one has several nicks on the front making it unusable for framing. I sell my painting and no consumer would ever buy a painting with a nicked frame (I wouldn’t either).

I got this frame in the fruit wood color. It is a nice neutral, medium tan-gray. The wood is nicely finished with a light sheen. The corners are nicely mitered and assembled. All in all a nice frame for a bargain.

I have purchased 3 of these frames. One frame was a 9×12 and it turned out very nice, so I ordered another one in 16×20 for one of my students. It had a huge thumbprint in the wood stain. I had to match the color as best as I could so the student could hang the art until I could reorder.

I reordered another 16×20 for my student and it had strange streaks in the stain. She preferred the frame that I fixed. So now I’m stuck with this streaky frame. I will probably have to stain the frame to get it looking nice.

I’ve never had a problem with any other Blick frames. This frame’s quality is just inconsistent.

I searched Columbia for a 9 x 12″ frame with a wide border that would fit my canvas painting. It seemed that I was going to have to buy a custom frame but that was so expensive. The artist told me to check online at Blick to see if I could find one that I liked.

I saw the Compagna frame and enlarged the frame so I could see the details of the frame. I loved the color and the width of the border of the frame. I asked for customer service to find out more about the frame.

The lady I spoke with was so helpful answering my questions. I ordered the frame immediately. When it arrived and I saw it, I was so pleased. I took it to a frame shop to have the canvas inserted, the hardware and the wire put on back and closed up.

I was so pleased with the final product and knew this was going to make a very special lady so happy. My mom is 94 years old and has wanted a painting of her home where I lived most of my young life.

I had a picture of her home and found an artist who said he could paint it from the picture. He finished It in time for me to wrap the painting and give to my mom for Christmas. When she opened the box and saw it, she cried for joy.

I told her I would keep it and have it framed for her. She lives in another town so I planned a trip to see her and take the framed painting. She was so pleased when she saw it. I immediately found the perfect place to hang it on her wall in the den where she spends most of her time daily and she can see it.

If I need any frames in the future, I will definitely be ordering from Blick!.

I paint portraits in oil on contract, and I usually frame them myself. I prefer the Blick Barrister for portraits because it is beautifully finished, arrives in perfect shape, and is an appropriate complement to my work.

For a recent painting, I told the owner not to try to go to a local store and shop around for a frame because he won’t find anything better than I can order from Blick. For my still lifes and landscapes, I like the other choices of Blick frames.

What I really like about tis frame – is that the same style comes in different finishes, and since I am doing several portraits for the is same customer,who happens to be have a pet grooming business– I can vary the finish with each portrait I finish.

The portraits will be hung in the front room of there business, so they will match in some way because of the frame style. Very attractive frame and excellent quality. Received what I expected even earlier than I was told. Thought these were a bit expensive for the quality, but they do the job.

The basswood was great. I am using it to whittle wooden spoons and I was able to get 12 out of one piece of wood. Very easy to whittle with. I would definitely come in and buy more when I need it.

The product was dimensionally accurate and was what I was exactly what I was looking for. However, I was not crazy about the adhesive that was used on the UPS label and the caution labels. They were impossible to remove and required an awful lot of sanding.

I ordered 2 24″ 1×6 pieces. the project require a 12″ width so glueing was required. The 2 boards were vastly different. One was excellent the other still had rough spots and had to be planed to smooth.

I was unable to use that board. When contacted Rockler sent a replacement board at no cost and did not require returning of defective board. Excellent service.

I have used the Gallery 12 wood frames for 3 years now. The quality is very good and easily assembled. This makes the frame ideal to change out photographs when needed.

I would have given zero stars if I was able for this item. Bought this frame for a special certificate that I had conserved especially for Christmas. When the frame arrived my first impression was that it was of nice quality, especially for the price.

Unfortunately the frame was severely damaged just by me placing the certificate in the frame. It was not treated roughly and was actually placed on a duvet when the certificate was inserted. The corner of the frame was chipped when I turned it around.

Awful product! Too close to Christmas to get an appropriate replacement, very unhappy!.

Very pleased with these frames from Nielsen Bainbridge. I’ve used this brand before and never been disappointed with the quality and ease of use. Remember to use the sizes on the image of the product shown not the John Lewis description as the conversion from metric to imperial is not correct.

This frame is perfect for both 24x30cm or 18x24cm but not 8″ x 10″ as stated. Happy shopper!!.
