20 Best Wood For Farmhouse Table (2023 Updated)

I liked the size. It was simple to put together. One thing I don’t like is the flaw in the wood on the table surface. It is ruff and looks kind of bad. I will enclose a photo of that area.

This table came with flaws. I was sent a replacement which was far worse than the first one. One plank was completely split down the top. No way to fix it as it was in the center of table. The only positive is that it is sturdy.

The top of the table is very nice and nice width and length (4 star). The legs are 30 inches total height. We are tall family. 30 inches is not tall enough. It is short by 2 inches. I am having to either make new legs or add to the bottom of these legs.

SHIPPING:The box was in pieces, and lost 3 bolts. I do wish they had taped the bolts to the foam that was in the box or put them in an envelope. Something other than lose in the box.

Exactly as described. No buyers remorse with this table. Solid, sturdy, nice finish on the veneer. I have a lot of dark woods so it is more gray than i hoped but it will work out fine. Narrow width was a must and trestle base, the legs aren’t in the way for my built in banquette seating.

Came incredibly fast! The color looks exactly like the picture shown. Assembly was easy. Table feels solid and like it will last.

I was looking for a dining room table that was narrower in width then most and this table was it! Easy to assemble, it only took me and my husband about 15 minutes. Solid table and color is a brownish gray which fits perfectly with our decor.

The table is great! Feels very sturdy and love the wood smell fresh out of the box. Heavy but great that I can fold the legs and move it out of the way when needed. It’s worth noting that the table in the pictures provided show it as a lighter wood with a golden hue to it, the table I got is truly brown.

It’s all I can see on the table. The table’s price tag seems affordable, but once you factor in shipping and taxes you’re looking at close to $700, and that’s without having the delivery service bring it inside for you.

I opted to get the table off the freight myself to keep cost low. That being said, it should be a fair assumption that since I’m spending close to a grand for this table, it shouldn’t come damaged. I contacted customer service to see what we can do.

I don’t even want a new table. Just a partial refund to cover costs of small things since now I have to buy a wood stain and some sort of filler to cover the chip, but ZERO response from them. TLDR; Great table, this website is awful though.

This table really surpassed my expectations. It is STURDY! If you’re looking for a wood table that will stand up to a lot of work, hold a lot of weight, look really good, AND be versatile, this is the one.

Once you’ve put it in place, it will not shake or move. It is heavy, and is a bit of a challenge to get into place as one person (you’ll want help with this one,) but it’s similarly easy to take down and store away.

Perfect for a shop, light manufacture, even as a functional farm/dining room table, all would work. Impressive! Will order another agian.

There is nothing solid about this table. It is not sturdy at all and the tabletop and legs are so soft that a fingernail can dent it. The color also has a lot of yellow to it

The table is very nice and sturdy and arrived quickly, however the glass arrived broken and I have been waiting three weeks for a response about replacement, therefore I cannot use the table. This is not Zoro’s fault and they have been receptive, however I am disappointed in the lack of communication regarding the replacement glass.

Not sure if I will ever receive a replacement.

The table cracked a few months after purchase. Chairpads were cheaply constructed. Chairs were not sanded well, and as a result, there are some rough areas on them. Was not stained well. Arrived with a large scratch on surface table.

The product is as advertised and is a good deal for a simple dinette set. The set did not include 4 section cups to hold the top in place like it should have. It only had 2 suction cups which are fine to hold the top in place, but wish it had all 4 as they are not easy to find.

When I saw this table I knew I had to have it. It is beautiful, sturdy and elegant. It took my husband less than 20 minutes to get it ready for us to start enjoying! I have a small family so this size is perfect.

As a funny fact, my 3 year old was impossible to sit down for dinner and ever since we got this beautiful table he sits like a big boy and eats, colors, plays with his tablet etc. I’ve had multiple tables in my life but yhis one is my favorite!.

First table I order did come with a ding on the table top -Look like it had been done in transit but Walmart replaced it now problems. If you order online they will pickup damage returns so no need to take it to a store.

The table is very solid and well made. Beautiful smooth top, nicely finished and good legs – turned and painted well. This table could easily sell for triple the price. It is an absolute steal at that price.

The table itself is sturdy and very pretty. I’m a bit bummed that it arrived with a dent in the table top. I didn’t know until after it was assembled (since it was assembled upside down). At this point it would be more of a hassle to disassemble and try to return, especially because of the size and weight.

Otherwise I would have been very happy.

I’m a 65 year old woman and I put together two of these tables by myself. I have ordered quite a bit of, some assembly required, furniture over the years and this was one of the easiest things I’ve ever assembled.

Yes, the little wrench is weak, but I easily finger tightened everything and then went back with the toy wrench to finish up. I was pleased to find no cracks, dents or major paint flaws in either table, but I’m not picky.

My husband came in and immediately found a dent in the edge of one table, but we both agreed that it’s barely noticeable. A more discerning person might be bothered by it. I got the black and oak table.

The oak is quite orange, which is fine in my room. If you really hate orange colored wood, you probably won’t like the black and oak version of this. I’m happy with the tables. I have eight chairs coming in two days.

I hope things go as well with those as it did with the tables.

Love this table. I needed a table that was wide enough for my free motion quilting setup and to also use as a craft table. The table was easy to unpack even though it was heavy and packed very well. The wooden blocks on the corners helped to be able to side top out of the box and put it into the sewing room.

Legs were easy to install. Did need help turning the table upright since I’m only 5’2″ and in my 70’s. Overall a heavy sturdy table that can be used for multiple uses. Best price for a table this size and a great bargain.

I expected way less for $278 for a table and 4 chairs but the overall qaulity is really good. Heavy and sturdy. I went with the other style of chairs (even though I like this depicted farm house style better, as the reviews said they weren’t as sturdy).

My husband put it all together pretty effortlessly. The table did come with a little dent in the corner but we didn’t notice it till he put it together and he refused to take it apart to order a replacement.

I have 2 toddlers I figured it is gonna get banged up anyhow. It is a pretty big table, fits 4 chairs very comfortably (I didn’t want the bench). The finish on the wood does have a more orange look to it, but seemingly almost all the wood in our home was finished to almost that exact color so it actually matched (not my choice, the previous owner redid it that way, so it was like that at purchase).

I am happy with it though esp for the price, I would buy again!.

The Farmhouse Dining Room Set caught my eye at a friend’s house she used it as a clever storage unit for an extensive collection of placemats and napkins. I wouldn’t have thought to use the Dining Room Set in that way.

What decorating ingenuity. Thought it was so cool, ordered an Farmhouse Dining Room Set to corral scarves, gloves and sweaters in what’s now my very classy looking house.

The table is beautiful but it arrived with two dents on the table top and two damaged corners. I was so sad! The table wasn’t boxed up very well with no padding to keep it safe during shipping. I will look at the return policy and may send it back.

The box is damaged so have to find another way to resend.

Love this table through and through. The quality is superb and the coloring is beautiful. It is quite large so be sure to check your measurements first but would not hesitate to recommend!

So happy with this purchase. Love the color of the wood too, which was a concern I had, since you can’t know until it’s too late to return. Deciding on which chairs to purchase now as well as an area rug; will upload pics at that time.

It’s perfect! And the company Furniture import and export inc is amazing. The table came damaged they had the shipping company pick up ASAP and replaced it with a new one. Very accommodating!

I am ver impressed with Better Homes and Gardens furniture iand this is no exception. Their items are very reasonably priced. The wood grain on the table is of good quality, very attractive and sturdy.

Assembly was very easy (you just need to fasten the legs to the table top) and they give you a wrench and the parts. The only item they do not supply is a Philips screwdriver to remove the wood protective blocks.

The protection of the furniture in the packing was excellent and they did not cut corners – even included a few wooden boards, lots of polystyrene and cardboard corners. I think you get good quality for the price and I recommend buying this product.

Lastly it shipped very quickly and even arrived a day early!.

I love the table. The size, color, shape, sturdiness, easy of assembly – all of it. Like a few other reviews, there were two cosmetic flaws. A dent sort of on the top and then a small area where the finish is a bit different (light).

But so what? I love, love, love this table. We bought this with the bench to go into our dine-in kitchen area. It works perfectly. The table is large enough for everyone to sit around comfortably and neutral enough to work with various decor styles.

I cannot believe the price of this table! $149?! Wow. I’ve own this table 25 yrs ago and I remembered how sturdy this table was and just had to get it again with my new farmhouse kitchen decor. Two cons.

From what I remember, never put anything hot on top, it stained it, ( I was 25, okay? ) also it’s an antique white, not a white, white, which is fine for me because my wall decor matches it. Shipping was quick, 3 days.

Assembly? Super easy. If you shop around? You’ll see this table style for going hundreds more, fact. ( I looked ) A must buy.

So far this has been a great table! We have a small event space attached to our restaurant and wanted a folding farmhouse table that could be easily moved in or out as needed. The folding aspect is great if needing to move through doorways, but they are very heavy so we try to keep them out for use as much as possible.

Very sturdy and well made. One of the 4 we ordered came with a gash in the top, but it adds to the character, so we kept it. We wanted a comfortable folding chair to go with it, and we picked the Hercules Fruitwood Folding chair.

I just ordered two more of these tables. My event guests love them!.

Just an FYI. I received this table and instead of 32 inch round extendable to 44 inches, I received a 48 inch round, extendable to 60 inches. Coleman furniture is working on a solution. But the Table is beautiful and of great quality.

I can’t wait for them to exchange for the correct size because this will look beautiful in my kitchen.

Thought the top was real wood that I could sand and re-stain or repair water marks or scratches. Be careful when buying any wood furniture these days. It’s all pressed reclaimed wood of some sort.

I don’t understand the compaints. If you will pay attention it does’t say it comes with chairs. If it did, it would be posted on there as with table and chair combos. I ordered this table last year and it is gorgeous.

Not one complaint only compliments. It is a fabulous buy and perfect for smaller spaces even if not used in kitchen. Not the least cheap looking nor poorly constructed. I am considering buying another for a craft table.

Not gonna lie, its a small kitchen table. But I have a small kitchen, so it fits me and my little family perfectly. The FedEx dude brought it into my house for me and my hubby put it together real fast.

I didn’t know that the chairs are sold separately. That’s the only downside to the purchase.

I like the tables overall look, its solid but a tad more rustic than I thought it would be. The table bows in the middle just a little and while I love the hand scraped look Im not a fan of the Semi large almost bowl shaped dent in it in two places.

One leg doesnt angle the same as the others but it does sit nice and flat. The legs weigh 50 lbs by themselves and I love them! I feel like it could be better done for the money, however I do still like the table.

W were looking for a narrow dining table to fit into a small space and this was exactly what we needed. the dark wood is solid, and almost black which matches perfectly with our existing flooring. The legs are thin but sturdy, and it was super easy to put together.
