Love this caddy. The colour is different & fits all colour schemes. Really good quality. Smaller than my other caddy in height but wider. Stops those pesky misses when scraping dinner plates. The liners are kept secure with the clever lid design.

When it’s full, take the lid off & you have enough liner left to comfortably tie without splitting the liner. Also has a filter. The capacity of 4 litres is ideal as I change it more regularly than the larger caddies.

No chance of unwanted visitors attracted to older food. Haven’t stacked my caddy as I don’t intend to stack mine but if the top design for the liner is anything to go by it should be a winner.

Bought this to complement the colours in our renovated kitchen and also to replace the normal food caddy provided to all households. It’s a really sturdy caddy which can actually be fixed inside a cupboard door if so desired.

It comes with a carbon filter to mask smells which is a revelation as I cook a lot from scratch so I have a lot of strong smelling food scraps normally, such as onion, and it’s amazing how you can’t smell anything once it’s in the caddy and the smell is neutralised.

Very stylish product too!.

Do Not Recommend. The hinge pins on the lid snapped immediately on trying to assemble and I feel even if the lid had remained in tacted it would have come loose eventually. There seems to be little to no design consideration put into what is a vital component.

The capacity and securing of the bin liner are great but the product is now useless without a secure lid, as the food waste is exposed to attract pests and the odors are allowed to escape. Furthermore Joseph Joseph do not do replacement parts for this product.

All in all I will be looking for an alternative more thoughtfully designed caddy with another brand.

Great little compost bin. Looks lovely on the kitchen worktop. I got sage green to match my kitchen. I like the variety of colours to choose from. I line mine with compostable bags, but if you chose not to line it Im sure it would clean up easily.

The lid seals in all odours and still allows air flow through the charcoal filter. There is a spare filter included too. Overall I highly recommend this product!.

Filter is great. General quality seems high and the size is plenty for a 2 person household. 2x handles are useful. Only minor criticism is the lid is very tight fitting, so you need both hands to take it off and anyone with limited strength/mobility in their hands/arms will struggle.

This item looks pretty but it is tiny – when my husband saw it he said ‘what do you put in it? A ;lettuce leaf?’. Fair enough, measurements are given in the description, but it’s only when you see it that you realise how small it is – about the size of a loaf of bread! The quality seems ok, but the lid was so stiff and needed so much force to be pulled off that the body of the bin shot out of my husband’s hands and landed on the floor, which knocked it out of true and it needed to be eased back into shape so the lid would fit on again.

It looks attractive on the kitchen worktop. It looks likes a smart expensive kitchen gadget, not at all like a compost bin. So thats very nice. Also, its just the right capacity at 2. 5L for a 1-2 person household.

But there is a major design fault in that you cannot remove the inner (green) bucket to empty it or to give it a thorough wash, without first detaching the white lid. There are no instructions as to how to do this (the products tag says lift the lid and remove it – very helpful I dont think!) and I dont dare try in case I break the hinge.

In any case, I dont want to be unclipping and reassembling the lid every day, because plastic is fragile and it breaks eventually if you keep pulling and pushing at it. So thats very annoying and a design fault.

My bin arrived with a big scratch down one side, which is an argument for buying things in the shops rather than online, so you can see exactly what you are getting, but with Covid Lockdown and massive social distancing queues, I cant be bothered to go to the High Street anymore.

This food waste bin is really excellent. Well made and smart design. All washable and looks like it will wear well. Although it is advertised for food waste i already have one for that purpose. This one is for the bathroom.

I looked for a small waste bin but couldn’t find one i liked. Then i spotted this (the lime green trimmings are nice) which is just the right size and suits the purpose. These little bins are suitable for lots of purposes other than waste food.

A good sized bin, not too big and of a useable/ easily storable size. I really like how easy it is to keep clean as you can remove the inner pot to clean/ put in the dishwasher. Not 5 stars just because it doesn’t have a great seal, which would have been nice and made it feel of a higher quality.

However I’m more than happy with the produce.

Best food scrap bin out there. Those green bin types are fully enclosed thick plastic which makes you think they work but really they make the food fester into pools of liquid and begin to decompose the bags before you get them to the curb.

But this amazing bin has air flow circulation which prevents that from happening. You dont smell the decomposition unless you leave it in there long and you usually have to be at the bin to smell it.

There is openings at the bottom of bin so beware that it could leak liquid if you leave bag in too long but this only happened once or maybe twice in the almost 2 years since Ive been using these bins but the liquid did go all over the counter.

To prevent that I put a low height tray underneath it to catch leaks in 1 of my bins (I have 3 in my house because we have a full kitchen upstairs and a broken up kitchen area downstairs which has a bin by the sink in a separate room from the kitchen.

)I had to replace one bin recently because the plastic closure snap broke and it wasnt that old but the others have stood up well. Ill never go back to anything but these bins. Easy to clean because lid fully comes off and you can rinse the entire thing in the sink.

You can slide the lid off to easily pull out the bag. Also the lid design actually keeps the bag attached and secure unlike the green bins which might rip stretching over the opening. Also green bin lids dont close easily but these do.

Make sure you lock the bag down with the wire fitting otherwise the lid wont close properly – took me a while to figure out why my lid didnt want to close all the time after a bag change. Expensive yes but superior product.

I cant imagine how you could regret it.

This is your new kitchen must have! All my scraps go into it. I keep it in my kitchen cupboard and have never had an issue with a smell. The fruit flies will find it occasionally but some ACV in a cup takes care of that.

You do have to empty it regularly or it will leak out the bottom. I usually empty mine every three to four days. More often if the contents are wet. This has been a huge help while I start my composting journey.

It is well worth the cost.

I bought this from Grove cause I really like this company but this bin was not that great. First off, all compost bags seem to end up leaking (more about the bags, less about the bin) but probably 6 months ago the metal part that holds the bag in place broke in two spots.

I super glued and tapped it back together. It’s help but then it recently broke on the other side. I threw the whole thing away and will be looking for a different brand.

I bought the coir bricks to use in my own soil mixture, which I stir up in a wheelbarrow. The first time I used it, I added the amount of water recommended. It was a huge, runny mess. Since that time, I put the brick flat down in a bucket and add a couple of inches of water.

I wait a bit, remove the amount of coir that has gotten moist and loose, and add it to my soil mixture. I then put 1-2 inches of water in the bucket with the remaining coir brick and let it sit a few minutes.

At this point, I can generally loosen it nicely and add it all in. Very fast and easy to work in!.

I am so delighted to find this product! I have a hobby propagating and growing angel trumpets. They can be a little tricky, and can rot easily when first trying to start them. Before I found coir, I would use a soilless mix and could lose up to 30% of my cuttings.

Since I started using this, I’ve cut my losses way back. Losses are less than 10% now. Core is light and airy, it never compacts, and it’s fast training. This gives the roots plenty of air to breathe and they grow quickly and vigorously in this.

Fungus gnats stay away from this so I never have to deal with them. So easy to use, I just place a brick or two into my bucket and add very hot water. It rehydrates shortly there after. I will say, I have to fertilize when the leaves do appear, because there are no nutrients in coir.

There are absolutely no cons with this product. I tell everyone that grows angel trumpets to try it. It’s my stand alone go to for starting cuttings. Thank you Gardener’s supply for fantastic prices and fast shipping!.

Don’t buy this product. The product is incorrectly described on their website. There are 3 dimensions but one of them is wrong which I’ve highlighted to them including providing photos showing true measurements.

It’s tiny and not functional. They say to return but given you had to pay for the initial delivery and pay to send it back, it’s a total joke and not worth the effort as you’ll be further out-of-pocket.

I don’t recommend this company nor this product to anyone.

This is a replacement for a similar compost bin. The previous one had a handle on the inside container which made it easy to remove. There isn’t a handle on this one. Otherwise, good. Colour and look of the item are as I wanted.

During my years of experience, I have never had a better, more practical compost bin container. It is the perfect size, it looks fantastic, it is functional and utilitarian, and the filter system seems to be working very well.

I really like this compost bin! It is the perfect size for temporary kitchen compost and the handle on the lid is a plus. Every other day, I dump it into my backyard compost bin. I try to make it a habit to dump it out everyday though to prevent any smells.

Although the stainless steel bin and charcoal filter are designed to prevent odors, I think it depends on what you put inside the bin. Onion peels and certain fruit scraps will smell but it is tolerable and not too strong.

You wouldn’t be able to smell it unless you are near the bin. You should make sure to empty and clean the bin regularly. Overall, this compost bin is great and it is definitely worth the price! Highly recommend!.

I have tried several compost bins over the years and this is the best one I’ve used. It holds a lot, the filter really does contain the smell, and it’s really easy to rinse due to the round shape and straight wall.

And best of all, it’s nice-looking enough to leave right on the countertop where it’s needed. No more hiding an ugly, smelly compost bin — this one sits right next to my sink. Yes, you smell the contents when you open the lid to add something, but there’s no avoiding that no matter what bin you use.

So many things about this under-the-sink composter are right. The airflow is perfect, and I no longer have smells, nor am I opening up the bin to be hit with compost smell. I love not spending money on filters that just get clogged with gunk or need maintenance so they don’t get smelly or moldy.

The venting keeps the bag from getting overly soggy, so it doesn’t fall apart or make the inside of the bin gross. The bag stays in place as well, thanks to the rim that locks it in place, so no more falling bag.

The button to press open the lid is genius. No more holding kitchen waste while also trying to open and hold a lid. It makes the experience so much more pleasant for everyone. The teenage boys are now consistently composting without me having to remind them.

I can’t recommend this composter more, it had resolved all of our issues.

I want to preface by saying there are only two of us and it is winter currently, but this compost bucket is fantastic. We used to use an old Tupperware for food scraps and the smell was horrid. We have used this compost bin for about a month and I cannot smell anything, even with it sitting on the counter full for a week or more.

Also, the bags do not deteriorate as fast as what some of the other reviews implied. Even in my compost outside, the bags have not yet gotten to the point of complete mush.

Bought this to replace the large one provided by the council which was of poor quality. This model is quite small but then I empty it daily to prevent smells. Also it fits better on my kitchen worktop.

You can open the lid easily with one hand which you need when you have the food waste in the other hand. Didn’t give 5 stars as it is quite expensive for what is essentially a bucket with a lid. Just need to train the rest of the family to put food waste in there instead of the kitchen bin!.

This countertop compost bin is perfect for its purpose. If you compost in your yard, just take off the lid and dump the contents. I use it in our condo complex that contributes to a commercial composting company.

They supply biodegradable bags that fit nicely in the bin and can be tied up easily when full. The bin and cover are easy to clean and the cover snaps back in easily. I also looks good on the countertop.

This well-designed compost bin does the job and then some. Each element of its construction has been thoughtfully executed to ease use in the kitchen and in the yard. The inside of the bin thus stays fairly clean, but it would be super-easy to use without a bag and just rinse out in between uses.

Initially I thought paying more than 20 quid for a bit of fury nylon was over the top but since I’ve had the Gutmann Microphone Windscreen I’ve changed my mind. It’s quite a dense material and the elastic band is robust so it has a feel of quality right from the start.

It fits easily and securely which as also good. The best thing about it, though, is that it completely eliminates the booming distortion you get from even a slight breeze blowing onto the microphones.

With the microphones exposed to a strong wind you can hear the wind as wind, which is what you should hear since that’s a sound in the field you’re recording. Put the microphones in the lea of you body and you can eliminate most of that if you want.

If you have an R-26 then you absolutely should have one of these.

It is good value and quality and I would like to use it on all my Wheelie bins all year long but it does work out quite expensive. Neighbours have asked me about them and i have told them they are great for keeping the bins clean, but when I told them the price I could tell that they weren’t overly impressed.

I believe they should be supplied by the council anyway.

WE have a Brabantia 30l pedal bin, Brabantia size G, for which I would LOVE to find a compostable bag that fits. They don’t seem to exist, but this is the nearest I’ve found. It’s a bit wide and a bit shallow, but does the job as expected.

I think these things are a bit expensive at the moment but hope (hah!) that the prices will come down as volumes ramp up – so get buying! r.

Great stuff, used it to top off some older planters filled with perennials and for a small no dig bed. Everything in them did really well, produced big plants, lots of flowers. I plan to buy this whenever I need to supplement my homemade compost.

This is the second Coast of Maine product I’ve tried and had lots of success. Their potting soil mix was perfect for starting seedlings. Worth the couple dollars more that you pay compared to other stuff, and nice to know it’s organic and quality ingredients.

I picked out this particular tumbler after hours of research. I wanted one with a gear ratio step-up so when you crank it, it spins with minimal effort. I also wanted one with a large capacity that would be easy to assemble and move.

Assembly took just under an hour and a half and was super easy. The parts came numbered, the screws and bits bagged, and the instructions were clear to me. Very straightforward. After a month and a half of carefully watching my compost C:N ratios and turning it weekly, I had compost for my garden! Carbon to nitrogen ratio sitting pretty at 28:1, which is so close to the ideal 30:1 at way less effort than I use in my usual composting.

This tumbler also looks way more attractive than a pile of scraps! I’d happily buy a second, but this one has two very large chambers and by the time I have one filled, the other is ready to harvest! It’s all the capacity of larger, less attractive units, but at a fraction of the price.

The ease of turning is so on point too, the gear ratio is such that it takes (if I’m remembering right) 7-10 full cranks for a full revolution. My partner, who is far weaker than I am, is able to turn it with no problems! It almost doesn’t even feel like you’re turning any weight.

I love this composter!.

This composter is well made and beautifully designed – except for one thing – it’s not watertight. Because it rains a lot here in Northern California, the compost gets too wet, stays cold and the contents don’t rot.

In fact, some vegetables like the bottoms of green onions will grow instead. Even with all the vents closed, so much rainwater gets in and leaks out the bottom that the cart fills up with water. Unfortunately, I don’t have a convenient protected place to put it during winter.

I’m going to have to put up some type of awning to keep the rain out, another expense on top of the high cost of this composter! Also, another disadvantage is that the smaller volume doesn’t hold the small amount of heat produced.

I had larger volume stacked compost bins for over 25 years that were self insulating. There was always a core of material that would get very warm and turning it a few times during the coldest months would keep the process going so that I would have ample finished compost by spring.

I’m very excited about my tumbler! It arrived quickly with all the pieces in tact, even though the tumbler box was ripped open a little bit. The cart was super simple to put together. The tumbler itself was a pain to put together.

It took me about 3 hours by myself. The barrel part wasn’t too bad, just a bit fiddly in some steps. The stand though was a different story. In theory, it’s a very simple assembly, but the nyloc nuts are a nightmare.

I’ve had no experience with those at all until this point, so it was quite frustrating. I had my husband, who is pretty handy, help with those nuts and he was equally as annoyed. I will never understand why things are only ever put together with hex keys.

Can’t they just make it easy on everyone and use a Philips head?!? I will say that the instruction manual was easy to understand, and the accompanying you tube video made the steps very clear! All in all I would definitely purchase again, even though assembly took a big chunk of time.

It seems very sturdy and I think it will hold up really well. I chose this one because of its large drum size and I wasn’t disappointed!.

I live in an apartment so I really appreciate the size of this container — it’s small enough to fit under my kitchen sink and large enough for me to not have to take it out on a daily basis. The compost bag stays in place due to the two holes near the lip of the bin and the lid also helps it stay in place.

Probably my favorite feature! There is some faint staining on the bottom of the bin (likely due to me not taking out my compost often enough). I clean it out with vinegar + baking soda weekly and most of the gunk comes out super easy.

If you don’t like the idea of staining, I’d say don’t go with the white. I highly recommend it!.

We give our compost to a local garden and use their big buckets to transport it – these buckets sit in our garage until they’re full. Instead of opening them every time we need to throw away compost, we’d been using a Tupperware-like bowl and just put in the freezer until it was full enough to empty.

I was getting tired of it – enter, this amazing product! JUST what I was looking for in terms of an in-house compost bin. It’s deep enough, has a sturdy and removable lid, and is easy to wash. We still keep ours in the freezer to avoid any kind of smell – I’m not confident enough to leave this on my counter.

I took off one star because I wish the inner bowl was removal to wash instead just removing the lid and washing the whole things with the handle. It’s still a great item, though, and I would recommend!.

I like this compost bucket for a few reasons. It’s a pleasant, minty shade of green, which is nice. It’s large enough to handle the scraps from meal prep without being so big that it gets heavy when it’s full.

The plastic is lightweight, but seems sturdy enough to last a decent amount of time. The reviews were mostly positive. My biggest problem with it is that the lid does not seal when it shuts. I suppose that if it were completely airtight, it would cause anaerobic microbes to grow, and that would be awful.

Instead, there appears to be enough room around the rim to allow fruit flies to get in. There’s a gray piece around the top that would be great at holding compostable bags, but without the bags, it just gets in the way.

A much less important complaint is that I thought this was machine-washable, but the sticker said “hand wash only. ” In the future, I’ll probably either get one of the ones with the filter at the top, or one that goes in the fridge to keep bugs out and slow down the decomposition process.

I love this compost bin, it is very easy to keep clean. Unfortunately, my cat is able to easily open this lid and now I have to keep it in the cabinet under the sink, but that’s okay because it is such a small bin.

Some other reviewers were complaining about it being too small, but I think it is a perfect size for our family of five. I throw out the compost when it is full every other day, this seems like a reasonable amount of time so that the food is not rotting in your house.

All in all, I will purchase again if I need to.

This Kitchen composting had great reviews so I bought it. I was very disappointed, and returned it. Pros: clean, sleek design. Small compact size. Nice color. Cons: Lid doesn’t close tightly, allowing odor’s to escape, and fruit files to breed.

I now have two of these (one in France and now a new one in UK). The stainless steel is good and the rubber seal on the lid really keeps smells in – even onion and garlic peelings left for several days.

Easy to move around the kitchen to wherever you are preparing vegetables. Any stains on the inner plastic bucket are removed easily. A sheet of kitchen roll in the bottom of the bucket eases emptying and the paper composts down.

Sometimes the inner bucket handle comes off but generally that’s me being careless. Recommended.

Just the right size and fits well in the kitchen draw too. Easy to clean. Some food waste caddies might look more compact & stylish but just are too small to be useful in the kitchen. This one has nice tight lid too.
