20 Best Wood For Bedroom Furniture (2023 Updated)

Overall, this is a nice and sturdy bedframe. It looks beautiful and doesn’t make a lot of noise when people shift. However, the slats are placed within two fabric casings and each casing has a specific place where they fit.

There is a gap between the two sets of slats that is quite noticeable when laying in the bed. We’re going to have to make a single slat to pop into the gap in order the make the bed functional and comfortable.

As a note, we purchased a king size. Maybe the gap is less noticeable in a smaller bed?.

Just lovely!! Bed is just as described. Delivery was quick and all parts were included. It is a solid white bed with slats. The headboard and bed are at a good height. Pillow shams do not block the view of the headboard.

The bed is very sturdy. Assembly was straight forward. Another winner from Wayfair!!.

The delivery was super fast and the delivery guy Super nice. The bed is well constructed, very strong and easy to put together. The white color is white, very pretty. I love it and very happy with the bed.

Arrived in decent condition. A few stress marks but nothing a black sharpie couldn’t fix. The “wood” is a veeery dark espresso and while it feels sturdy and looks wood like, this is that fake stuff. Not that thats a bad thing! But it does make some of the assembly a pain.

Some of the holes were not pre-drilled and a screw driver and screw on its own can neeeever penetrate this type of material. So some measuring and a drill w/ wood bits was needed. Also an annoying thing is these big screws on the bottom shelf are visible and they provide no tops to cover them.

Very ugly! But you can cover those up with trinkets or to buy and modify a small flattened black/brown plastic piece to cover them. (Actually i could of even put that piece in upsidedown, but then id of needed to drill even more holes.

) Not the end of the world but you get what you pay for. Best cheap corner shelf i could find in this size range.

Extremely satisfied with my new bedroom set. Looks just as pictured and assembly was easy. Was delivered in boxes that were well packaged to prevent damage to items

Assembly was good. Quality is not too bad. Couple of drawers in the dresser dont smoothly come out and go in. But other than that, no complaints.

We purchased this bed for my daugther I was a little hesitant because we didnt get to physically see it but honestly we are super content and she loves her bed. It was easier to set up and it arrived with no issues at all.

Omg where do start ! Love the color it is darker then in the pictures ! Very good quality heavy solid wood ! We bought the 6 pc set ! It is very large furniture ! My husband and I joked did we have kid furniture before lol! But our bedroom is very large so it finally feels cozy ! Have only had like a week but very happy with the our purchase! But the delivery people could be a little more Knowledgeable they acted like they didn’t know how to get stuff off the truck.

But other than that everything was OK nothing was damaged.

Bedroom set well made. Very happy with the “white glove “ men putting set together. Only problem the mirror was broken. Sams has ordered a new one.

Lovely, as is shown in photo. Not too difficult to assemble; you will need two people. Shipping container damaged heavily on the outside, but inner carton and bed were not. One caveat: the decorative carvings on head and footboard are not made of wood; they are some type of resin material.

We accidentally tapped the footboard with one of the wooden slats during assembly. The dark brown coating came off in a couple of spots; it’s an ugly yellow underneath. I touched it up with a furniture marker and now it’s hardly noticeable.

However, the experience was upsetting!.

The bed it nice and I love it. I just took it out the box to start setting it up. A piece of the bed head was broken off. I could happen during shipping. I am going to contact customer service and o see what they can do.

That’s not my fault.

It has a traditional look. I love it! Excellent quality! It has a great impact in the room. Build very well! It definitely keep.

I love how solid this bed is and the look is very manly. I am a large man and I can stretch out and fits me just fineI managed to put it together by myself without any problem. I added a box spring to sit up more and it can take the extra weight with no problem.

I built the bed by myself over the course of one lazy afternoon. I was initially a bit worried about constructing the nightstands, but was very pleased to find them fully built and ready to install. The build process was simpler than expected, but I would recommend having a spare set of hands for assembling and positioning the headboard, as it is very heavy and awkward for one person.

Once assembled, with the mattress in place, I don’t think I could be any happier. This is exactly what we wanted. The materials are flawless and the build quality is incredibly solid. I expect we’ll be enjoying this piece of functional art for many years, if not for the rest of our lives.

Be sure to look for the discount from the podcast 99% Invisible. Article doesn’t offer discounts aside from this single $50 credit, as far as I can tell. It’s not much, but it’s the price of a nice dinner or delivery once you set up your furniture and want to relax.

This bed is such a bummer. If you have any kind of memory foam mattress, the slats will damage the mattress because of the spacing (they are more than 4” apart). Your only option is to lay another 2” tall platform on top of the slats which lifts the mattress too high and makes it impossible to reach your nightstand.

Not using the slats and putting in your own low profile box spring or adjustable base is also not an option because of the way the corners are designed. Article support’s only recommendation was to order more slats from them, which they don’t actually have, to “fill the remaining holes.

” This also wouldn’t work with the design of the center bar. Overall, if you have a low profile mattress you don’t care about, this bed is great. If you want a higher end mattress, this design will not accommodate it comfortably and you’ll be stuck with a very awkward bed.

I never leave reviews. but I feel that anyone considering buying this bed should heed the warnings from SO many other customers. This bed is so unbearably noisy I am now regularly losing sleep. Yes it’s beautiful, but for the hefty price tag, the quality of function is just not there.

I have a reasonable expectation for it to perform as a bed should and not disrupt my sleep. I would like to note that based on advice from the care team, I checked my floor – it is indeed level. I also followed the assembly instructions verbatim, and no errors were made.

This is obviously an ongoing issue affecting multiple customers, and Article should really be evaluating their continued sale of this piece.

I bought this bed for my guest room and I have to say that Im extremely pleased with this purchase. Great product, very sturdy and it looks amazing! Super happy with it. I highly recommend it.

I really enjoy this frame. The driftwood color is pretty and the texture gives it character. The frame is made from composite wood. Assembly with 2 people didn’t take too much effort and time. The pieces were packaged very well and instruction were clear.

A caveat, if you obtain a King size frame, I recommend getting a few more slacks to fill in some of the gaps between the provided slacks. Note, I have only a mattress (no box spring) so the added slacks (just a few pieces of lumber from a hardware store, appropriately measured, of course) will offer extra support and prevents the mattress from sinking.

By the way, it was delivered earlier than expected by UPS (with some minor dings to only the packaging). Overall, great quality and recommend it if you are seeking something simple and natural.

I love this bed! I got it in ”Driftwood”, and it goes so well with my boho-themed room. I’d say get a 5” box spring ideally. I have a 7”, and my bed is slightly higher than I would have preferred, but still manageable.

Putting it together took my dad and I about 2. 5 hours, and he’s great at building things. This is one where I would ask for help or have professionally assembled if I didn’t have him. Another disclaimer is that the planks that come with the bed are pine as well, and there are 4.

Candidly, I would have preferred a 5th one at a minimum, and overall a stronger wood for the planks. If you can plan ahead and get oak planks, than you’re golden. But in summary, I love my new bed and would recommend to anyone, particularly the “Driftwood” color for my light-wood fans!.

I was pleasantly surprised! This bed is built solid, and has a beautiful appearance. It was not difficult to assemble. Arrived in 2 boxes but on the same day. It is solid wood, covered in veneer. Our box springs fit perfectly into the frame, which I love.

No gaps. Good height once all put together — we have 4″ box springs and a 12″ thick king size bed. Don’t have to jump up or crouch down to get into bed. It is hip height. One knick on the headboard, but not a big deal.

I would def recommend this bed.

Love the look of this bed. The only reason I am giving this 3 stars is because the bed took us two hours to put together and then when we reached the last two instructions we ran into a problem. The main piece of wood that runs from headboard to footboard did not fit in the predetermined grooves, we had to use a drill to make the groove bigger, and the middle leg that holds bed up was not in box.

Otherwise, the bed fits our room great!.

Love this! Everything arrived timely and nothing broken. The bed is solid and exactly as pictured. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the dresser drawer rails are not as sturdy as I thought for the price.

But overall this set is amazing!.

The furniture appears to be of good quality, it deserves better than the ONE I gave it, and it was delivered in good condition but MUCH LATER THAN PROMISED. Coleman’s “service” between placing the order and getting it delivered STYNX ! Delivery to the local agent promised to be in 2 weeks after placing the order, yet 4 weeks later the furniture was NOWHERE to be found.

Then the “local” agent turned out to be in Houston (400 miles away from ME the buyer who is located in the New Orleans area). Partial delivery was made SIX WEEKS after placing the order, FINAL DELIVERY was made EIGHT WEEKS AFTER placing the order.

Delivery crew walked ACROSS THE STREET in their “sanitary boots” that meant to keep my home from getting contaminated by outside dirt.

This is a very nice looking bed and this goes to the entire J&M Naples bedroom set. It is just gorgeous. The 3 starts rating is based on 2 main reasons, number 1 is the price, this item is insanely expensive, the quality is good but not enough for the asked price, reaching almost 1000 dollars price tag this when manufactures start using solid wood, which is not used in this item and any of the J&M Naples bedroom set items, the Chest drawer price is more than 1000 dollars, again, too expensive.

The second reason is the shipping companies used are terrible. Awful experience, although they say they used Fedex that was not true at least in my particular case. They used unknow shipping companies and the experience is terrible, you have to chase them pretty much to get the item delivered to you.

Very pleased with this bed and accompanying suite. It feels sturdy and not a cheap pressboard type item. But it was pretty inexpensive for the anount of items that came with it. It is a shiny white lacquer which is what I was going for.

This items was back ordered here and at other places I saw it at but it came pretty quick and easily.

We loved this bed. finally a bed that’s suitable for a master room yet not larger than life to overwhelm that space. Very elegant and classy look. Clean liens, easy to clean and white glove delivery was a cherry on top.

I LOVE the furniture! It is very sturdy and great quality. However, I did not enjoy the “white glove” set up service. They dropped the furniture while coming in the door and almost knocked over my tv and had to be asked to wear shoe covers on my carpet.

One person took the shoe covers off when going outside, but the other did not. So his shoe covers basically did no good. Also couldn’t figure out how to install the slats, drilling numerous holes in the furniture.

Then took a picture and left, telling me there was nothing they could do. They were trying to install them upside down, which my husband figured out and fixed in a couple mins. But my furniture now has many drilled holes.

Although not visible, I still was less than impressed with the lack of care taken during setup.

Beautiful set. Bad service. My furniture came damaged. I bought a mirrored chest in the set that was wrapped and protected. Upon inspecting while the movers were there I did not see any visual defects.

As they were leaving I bent down to put something inside of the bottom shelf and found a huge gash inside and called them right away (since I couldn’t catch the truck in time) there resolution was that they could sent a new part to the piece and I could pay for someone to come fix and be reimbursed up to $75.

I just paid $3k for the set and don’t have any more money to pour out. They then told me this is my fault for not looking hard enough when i got the delivery and it is nice enough that they offered to do this.

This will be my last purchase from the company.

A great set that we put in our daughter’s room, add a frame and mattress (or use one you already have) and it is a solid set to fill a room! Everything is good quality, a nice light color, and has operated smoothly! Realistic expectations of a headboard on a bedframe should be held.

If you are not familiar with this, it will wobble some due to the length of wood to fastener. It is not broken or anything! It is, however, the caveat here if it moving a little is a deal-breaker. you will need a full wood framed bed for a secure headboard at that point.
