TNF got the combining the gripability and touchscreen sensor functions correct on this glove. The sensor tips work well, and the silicone dots extend far enough up the fingers and thumbs to be useful.

The fabric stretches but holds structure, although because it holds structure, the back of the hand doesn’t conform along the back of your hand when making a fist. This creates a openening tunnel from the cuff to where your knuckles bend if you aren’t wearing a jacket or something over the gloves.

There cuffs are box structured so there is not hugging your wrist, which also contributes to the opening issue when gripping something or making a fist. The cuff area (there is no real cuff) isn’t as long as I would like so it readily pulls out from under a jacket sleeve.

Because of how the gloves is structured you do need to pull the gloves on over your palm area, since the seam is structured and not as giving as the fabric panels. Because there is no real cuff, the wrist area won’t be hugging your wrists.

The 40g thermolite isn’t very warm and I’m not really a fan of thermolite since I don’t find it all that warm. For being targeted as a stand alone glove, these gloves are not something I would wear below mid-30s F.

The wind resistant Apex like shell backing does block wind like when I’m biking, although like TNF Apex jackets, wind does penetrate. There is a little hanging loop inside, which I don’t get. TNF could just have made it usable as a loop to assist in pulling on the glove.

I do like the small flat clips. They are functional, small, and low profile. I have used the gloves under my Gore-Tex infinium shells and they work similarly as any other midweight liner glove, albeit with more structured fabric, and again not as warm with only 40g thermolite.

For a shoulder season glove, they are fine.

Ladies, I’m gonna tell you that these gloves are the coziest, softest, high quality, innovative, durable, comfortable, and reliable gloves I’ve ever owned. I recently purchased a pair of women’s Nike gloves from Dick’s that had the ability to use touch screen devices while wearing them, and at first I thought they were great.

They’re awful. Especially after buying these North Face Osito gloves. The UR technology in these gloves is truly what makes them better than the rest in my opinion. All TEN fingers AND palms can be used on a touchscreen; unlike the 2 little sewn on patches at the tips of the thumb and pointer finger on other gloves.

Putting innovation and technology aside, just the warmth and softness of these gloves could sell them alone. I love that they’ve got a “stiffness” to them, almost like they’re giving your hands and fingers a big bear hug, lol.

I am a professional photographer and drone pilot. My work is 80% outdoors and often in very cold weather. Even with good warm wool gloves, my fingertips got uncomfortably cold, like frostbite cold! I needed a good solution.

These gloves have proven to be an excellent first layer. I combine these gloves with a wool flip-type glove. This has allowed me to operate either the camera or the drone with the flexibility to use my fingers, and the touch screen fingertips work perfectly! These gloves by themselves kept both my hands and my fingertips surprisingly warm.

When my fingertips need additional warmth, I flip the hood of the over glove, and voila! my entire hand is toasty. I highly recommend these gloves as a first layer, and the ONLY reason that I didn’t give these 5 stars is because I wanted to be credible without giving the appearance that this review was subsidized in any way.

I would give them a 4. 5 rating. They are warm for the most part. The tips of my fingers were still cold but warmed up when I started moving around. It was about 29 degrees that day. I have a small hand and usually wear a small size.

I had to order a medium. The glove fits well aroung my hand but the fingers are a bit too long. I haven’t tested the waterproof ability yet.

These gloves are definitely cozy for winter but I disagree with the waterproof claim. Water resistant yes but when I stick my hand in the water troughs to scoop out ice they soak through pretty quick.

It then takes several days sitting over heater vents in my house to dry out the inner liner. Still looking for waterproof winter gloves.

Bought these for my son for Christmas. The quality was very nice and they fit great. He loved them and was looking forward to using them later in the week. UPDATE- After going skiing wearing all his new Marmot gear, He said he was warm and dry all day except for his hands.

He said his hands were cold the entire time and even after adding hand warmers his fingertips were freezing. Not sure if the fit was wrong for him as they had some extra space on the fingertips but I am so disappointed to hear these gloves did not keep his hands warm.

They were recommended on several lists I researched so I thought I had made a good choice. They just did not work well for him. Quality was good but for the price I expected the warmth.

After hours researching mittens and reading reviews I fit settled on these ones, they had the most consistent positive reviews on the sites I was checking. I ordered a size up as per reviews saying they ran small but I found the medium to be big, I could have easily got my normal size of small.

The only positive thing I can say about these mittens is that they are comfortable, the lining is very soft and they the cuff is long enough to go over a sweater or jacket. However , I’ve now used them about 4 times, the coldest being -13 and each time I wear them my hands are frozen after about a half hour.

Cold enough that I take my fingers out and put my hands into a fist to try and warm up. So beyond disappointed especially because they are not cheap mittens and had positive reviews. I would return them if I could.

These might be suitable for around 0 temps but not for any colder in my opinion.

Good mitten overall. The lack of a leash? Not a huge deal just moved form my other gloves when in use. They are good why not great. In my dream world the person who decided to put the nose wipe material in place of and not over the water proof nylon would be flogged! In wet conditions this area leaks, wets out.

Normally not a prob as long as your are cold , no liquid water. But this is simply an error that makes it a good mitten not a great mitten. Expedition? I would hate to be in the arctic and find out really cold water soaks through over your thumb.

I still recommend, just better to know what you have.

Lands’End Leather Gloves for Women are the best quality I have found. Even better when on super promotions for a fantastic discount. This year I purchased the Grey and Navy. I really wanted to obtain the BLACK – but for some reason the black pair had a VERY STRONG CHEMICAL ODOR.

It is not a leather odor, but a chemical one that just did not dissipate even after airing out for several weeks. I did contact the Customer Service Department. I tried 3 times to order these gloves and 3 times I had to return – the odor was just so strong.

Even the other items in the delivery were effected by this odor. Really too bad because they are great gloves. The black color is the only pair that I had a problem. For further information, I ordered an XL because I do not like my gloves to be skin tight and they fit perfectly.

Even checking the reviews, there was no mention of this odor even though I did contact Customer Service about the situation. According to them, no one had reported such an issue. But after getting 3 pairs on 3 different orders, the problem does exist.

Sadly I had to return all of them.

I first bought them in navy and size SM which according to the size chart should have been perfect. They were too narrow and the blue not as far as beautiful and radiant as in the picture. I exchanged them for size M in grey.

The grey is pretty. Size M is barely wider (maybe 1/4 in in circumference if that) – the main difference is that the fingers are longer (which I did not need). So the fit is marginal at best. The leather is supersoft and nice.

They are not very warm (I did not expect that, I had the leather/cashmere combo on a previous pair from a different supplier). Just don’t expect too much. They will do the job for a few min scraping ice off your vehicle, or keep you warm in moderate cold (30’s).

Women’s EZ Touch Screen Cashmere Lined Leather Gloves – Radiant Navy. The leather of these gloves is very nice, and I liked the color. The touch-screen patched on forefingers and thumbs worked. The cashmere lining was soft and warm.

However, I returned these gloves because the fingers of my XL gloves were uncomfortably tight. I know that leather can stretch a bit, but these were so tight that I did not think that they could stretch enough to be comfortable to wear.

I was replacing a pair of cashmere-lined leather gloves without touch-screen patches (not from Land’s End) because I lost one of the gloves last winter. The gloves I was replacing were number-sized and I had bought the largest women’s size (can’t remember if it was 8 or 9; lost the glove with the size tag).

I don’t know if the tightness of the Land’s End gloves is due to them being S-M-L-XL sized instead of number-sized, or if they are just a different cut than the pair I was trying to replace. Very disappointed that these did not fit.

I bought these wanting something for when it was cold enough in the mornings to want something to warm my hands when I drive. They are serviceable for that. They are, as described, good for sweater weather, but not for the really cold weather.

PROS: Fit as expected about the palm. Reasonable dexterity. They seem to be well made. CONS: 4-5 seams per finger make the fit here more snug, less warm; some may want to size up (my hands are slender to average).

Cuffs are short, so if looking for cover and warmth for wrists, these are not the glove for you. Unable to use my phone, even just the basic swipe to open it, with these.

I have the Heavenly long jacket in the Velvet Cove color. The gloves are a perfect match and Moosejaw was the only online site that had my gloves in stock. The jacket is a lighter weight winter coat and the gloves are also a lighter weight so they are perfect together in most average winter conditions for my needs.

I am usually between a size small and medium in gloves and the size small is a perfect fit. The gloves are not waterproof but are cozy and flexible. This was my first purchase from Moosejaw. I love their site and will be back to purchase other high quality gear!.

These gloves are casual and warm enough for wearing in below freezing temperatures for short periods. I bought them on sale and to go with a navy coat. The fit is good being snug at the wrist but not too tight.

One thing I found is the knuckle area is quite large I’m guessing for freedom of movement. It doesn’t bother me but some might find a bit unattractive. Another thing, the fingers in the gloves are also a bit large which again is not a problem for me and would allow for a liner glove for extra warmth.

The sweater knit fleece material is quite nice.

I have to say that I was expecting something more, perhaps had my expectations set to high. I wore these out one morning to move some snow and the wind chill was quite cold. I was not out there very long before my fingers started feeling very cold.

I do have circulation problems but I came in and got my gloves with thinsulate in them and although my fingers can also get cold in them it took much longer. Don’t get me wrong, these mittens are nice and warm if you are not out in extreme weather for very long.

They would work nicely for going to work, shopping, etc. when you are in and out of buildings. I just cannot recommend these gloves for outside tasks that might take longer than 10 minutes, at least for me.

Good circulation might make all the difference though. And perhaps I should have tried mittens instead.

I had purchased a pair of socks from Walmart. They had small selection, but once I got home, I noticed a website I could order from. I was tired of buying stock in hand warmers & feet warmers. I live in Alaska, have Raynaud’s Syndrome and this winter we’re in the single digits.

I’m so in love with the footless tights. I ordered original boot socks, base layer top and more footless tights. I wear my footless tights with my skoop when I take kids to school. By the time I get home I’m pouring with sweat in places you shouldn’t be sweating!! In Michigan where winter is cold enough 5 months out of the year for gloves, a good pair of gloves is essential. I hate wearing most gloves because they’re either to bulky and you have to take them off to do anything, or they’re too thin and don’t keep you’re hands warm.

Other gloves that are convertible are fleece lined and dry my hands out. These gloves are amazing. the converible means that I don’t have to take my gloves off and on to do things, and the linining is amazing.

I could find these gloves locally, and I originally found these on Amazon, however it takes 6 to 8 weeks to get them. I’m so glad I found this website. I can get them quicker and cheaper.

Nice gloves. I needed a new pair since I lost my gloves last year. They are made of real leather, which I like. They’re plain and not to flashy or embellished w/ a lot of details. I got the black gloves.

I CAN’T STRESS ENOUGH how important it is to **measure your hand as directed and use the size chart** to determine what size you actually need. I measured my hand and chose the large size based on the measurement, even though I have pretty small hands.

I was worried about the gloves not fitting, but they do fit, and I was surprised. I have a little bit of space – less than an inch – at the tips of some of the fingers. I’m really glad I didn’t go w/ my gut though and get a smaller size thinking my hands are small because then the glove opening would have been too small to squeeze my hand into.

The gloves are slightly tight across the back of my hand, but I believe the leather will stretch over time and become more soft and flexible and comfortable and feel less tight.

These gloves are great. Their measuring chart is very accurate, so use it!! I have average size hands and ordered a large and they fit perfectly. Super soft leather on the outside and soft lining on the inside that will keep me warm here in Minnesota with no problem.

What a great price too!.

These gloves look great and promised great things, but the leather is paperthin and tears easily when doing anything while wearing them. The black dye started rubbing off, and I only wore them one time for about a half hour.

Supe warm but a tad bulky. I love the color and the feel of the gloves inside. My only small grip is the pictures makes them look thinner than what they are. I do have big hands so a M/L is still a bit snug.

I’d still recommend them.

Bought these gloves for my husband. who has large hands. Bought the XL but the fingers were extremely long. So. I got the Large. The fingers were also extremely long. Don’t know who could possibly wear these gloves.

No “human” has fingers as long as these gloves! Returned both pairs.

I needed a pair of gloves to replace another pair that had worn out at the fingertips. I tried one pair that I owned but they were too heavy and made my hands sweat when backpacking. I tried another pair that I had but they were too tight and therefore uncomfortable.

After looking quite a bit at my local REI and later on REI’s website I purchased these gloves. They’re super comfortable, provide warmth but also ‘breathe’ and they seem to be solid enough to last for a while during backpacking and other outdoor uses.

They’re just ‘so-so’ when it comes to using the touch-screen of my phone but since I bought them for backpacking I don’t really care – it might be a blessing in disguise as the saying goes. If I hike in temps much below freezing I may need a top layer such as mittens or something but that’s yet to be determined.

I’ll come back and update once I’ve done more winter hikes with the gloves. At this point I’d gladly buy these gloves again and would recommend to fellow backpackers.

I bought these because the e-tips on my old gloves had worn out. Overall I like the gloves. I have only worn them down to about 28 degrees, and they did a good job of keeping my fingers warm. The e-tips worked about as well as you could expect them to.

There is a definitely a decrease in functionality depending on the type of screen protector you use (works better with glass screen protectors than plastic ones), but that’s not a fault of the gloves.

I consider myself to have pretty normal sized hands, and the fingers were a bit too short on me (I have a medium). The last critique I have is that this material collects lint like crazy. If you have any sort of scarf on, these gloves will be covered in the fuzz from it.

The gloves are a nice product, though and I would still recommend them.

I’ve been using these gloves for years and love them! I have developed Raynard’s (still relatively mild case) and these gloves keep my hands warm even in extreme temps. I hike year round in the NH Whites and usually wear them alone or coupled with the exterior shell of OR’s Alti mitts on the ascents.

They are not waterproof so I generally change gloves at the summit (I carry an extra pair of them). I also have the wool mittens for when gloves aren’t enough. My gloves get heavy, tough use so my one caveat is that they basically only last one hiking season then they get “downgraded” to everyday gloves.

I love them so much that I don’t mind the annual purchase.

I had an older version of these for about 12 years that were absolute tanks. held up great and were super warm. Great for working (cutting/hauling wood, wrenching on equipment, etc) in the colder months.

They’ve finally started to fall apart, so it was time to replace them. The gloves themselves are pretty much what I had been hoping for, but the quality is just not there. The fabric material feels very cheap and one of the fingers started to come unstitched after only the second wear (no work, just turning a steering wheel on a snow plow tractor).

I reached out to them about a replacement/exchange and they basically shrugged and said I could return them and try buying another pair. This is the second item I’ve purchased from Carhartt in the past year that is substantially degraded in quality from the same item years prior.

I am returning these and will be looking for somewhere else to purchase.

This is the only glove that keeps me warm and I can actually work in. It is near wonderful EXCEPT the hooks on the velcro constantly tear up the cuffs on my favorite Carhartt work coat. If the engineer would have put the velcro hooks on the flap instead of on the glove body, we would have 4 or 5 stars here.

Better yet, just use a snap or some other type of glove cuff cinch. Your pictures always show the strap completely covering the hooks, but those models must have no wrists. On mine, I catch about a quarter inch of the hooks and the rest are left to catch on ANYTHING nearby that is of a knit material.

In general, velcro has NO USEFUL PURPOSE on the outside of any man’s clothes. Even on the inside of a garment, a snap or zipper would be MUCH more useful. Velcro even as a closure on an interior pocket is a total pain.

Again, it sticks to ANYTHING that is knit or fuzzy and doesn’t open easily when it is stuck to itself as designed. NO MORE VELCRO. These gloves have already chewed up my cuffs on my brand new Carhartt active jac which is also my go to work coat.

I have to wear different inferior gloves, or wear an inferior coat if I want to use the gloves. I am figuring I will just cut off all the velcro hooks and not have any glove cinch just so I can work and use the coat and gloves together that work for me.

GET RID OF ALL VELCRO ON MEN’S CLOTHING! Please.

The C-Touch A622 gloves seemed fine at first. When I was out snowblowing, I had to remove the right glove and adjust the machine. My hand got slightly damp during this process and when I put the right glove back on, I was unable to insert all my fingers properly.

I found that the inner lining of the glove is not attached to the outer glove and it moves independently. I had to go back in the house to get a different pair of gloves in order to continue working.

After the C-Touch gloves dried out in the house, I again tried to insert my hand into the right glove. Unfortunately, I still cannot get the inner lining to go into all the finger holes, so I can’t use the glove.

bought for my better half, bit bulky , but does what it say`s, no complaints about cold hands anymore, good quality and price.

Product as described. I am very pleased that I was able to find some on this site as I had lost a similar pair previously and there were none stocked in the shops as they say they are a winter product.

Also they are much cheaper than the ones I bought before but ate just as good. I use them to cycle to work in the mornings and they are just what I needed.

Perfect they keep my hand warm when taking my dog out

I bought these for my wife along with a few different pairs of mittens to try out for the coldest ski/snowboard days. These easily have the most features, are very warm, and have the same/similar use as her standard Burton Gore-Tex Mitts.

These are nicer in just about every way than the other options I provided her, but she wasn’t a fan of the difference in feel with the bulk of insulation at the back of the hand (which is meant to provide low bulk in the palm for greater dexterity).

These also fit tighter than her standard Gore-Tex Mitts in the same size (Medium). Personally, I would have chosen these mittens due to the nicer leather palm, touchscreen interface, hand-warmer/vent pocket, and the adjustable wrist tether, not to mention the nicer color.

I’d be interested to see how the suede wipe on the thumb fares versus the typical/older type of material used that deteriorates over a few seasons. She instead chose the Gordini Haven Mitt, which I have reviewed separately, and could possibly be warmer, but lack some of the features of these mitts.

For comparison purposes, the length was similar to the Gordini Haven Large, but back of hand fit was more like the Gordini Haven Medium. Also, the fit is slightly longer than the Dakine Leather Sequoia.

These don’t disappoint in the warmth department – they are definitely burly and the long gauntlets will seal in blocking off wind and snow. They are also very well built and should last a long time. The inner lining is super comfortable.

I just wish they were a bit bigger as my normal size is at least one size too small in these – I can manage to put these on but the pressure is just too uncomfortable. A shame, really, I would have loved to keep these if they were a bit roomier.

I never do reviews, but I was shocked that after trying three sizes of this mitten, it still ran too tight across the palm/back of hand. It may be because it is filled with sherpa thick fleece and maybe that takes up space within the mitt.

I was shocked, as I’ve never had a problem fitting a mitt before. Other than that, they are well constructed. I thought the fleece across the back of my hand would be challenging for holding onto ski poles though.

I’d reserve these for snowboarders.

I skied all last winter with gloves and decided to try to upgrade to mittens for warmth when the member coupons came in spring. These mittens are attractive, have nice features, and feel really toasty from body heat alone (inside the house, anyway).

BUT they are such a weird shape. I followed the size chart with a measuring tape, and thought a large would work. It fit well across, but the length was snug. That would have maybe been tolerable, but the thumb is completely bizarre.

Way too short, tight, and awkward all around. I don’t have mutantly shaped hands, so who knows. These were returned.

Honestly. I can’t remember when I got these. I think I’ve had them for about 5 or 6 years and they are just now starting to wear out. They are very warm, durable, and fit well. They came with a goggle wiper on the left thumb (for wiping off ice) and is super convenient.

If you’re going to be skiing in sub 10 degree weather I’d recommend putting on thicker liners but the ones that come with the mittens work great otherwise. (I normally ski in 15-30 degree Fahrenheit temperature and almost never use hand warmers) I’ve never had a problem using the liners with my smartphone either.

All around a very good glove and I’m getting them again hoping they are as good or better than the first time around.

I purchased these gloves as a gift so I cannot speak from knowledge of using them however when they were delivered i tried them on and OOOOOOOOO so soft inside, comfy and beautiful dark black. the palms have a spyder web design on them and i was surprised that the web design was actually of a grip hold type surface.

Glove fit extremely small around the wrist to the point – I can’t get them on. Sizing small. I would only wear this glove on “cool” days. There is no warmth.

Kids wore these for about 2 hours out in the snow. they said their hands were pretty warm to start with, but by the end of the time these gloves had totally soaked thru. according to the product page, they’re supposed to resist water.

maybe so, but not snow?! Truest test will be the Swiss Alps next week. here’s hoping they stay dry.

I used these gloves for around 70 ski days now and often temperatures as low as -25 Celsius and I have to say they held up really nicely. I never felt cold in them except around -30 or -25 with really strong winds or you touch metal for a long rime in those temperatures which you shouldn’t do anyway.

they are perfect in the temperature range of -25 to -5/0 Celsius, above that they tend to be to warm and you start to sweat even when you don’t do much. The one lesson with ski touring and gloves which I feel applies to these gloves specifically well is, you shouldn’t wear them on ascend when you know you will sweat a lot.

Wool just doesn’t handle sweat well. But the fact that you can take them apart is a lifesaver for the next day. They get quite soft and more comfortable after a while which is nice and the finger control feeling is in my opinion really good considering the size of the glove.

Durability and protection is for a skier so far really good. I had a couple of tree hugging and branch slaps encounters with them and the hands were never the problem afterwards. They feel a bit more skier oriented in protection because all the protective parts are on the backhand of the glove but I could be wrong.

After 70 days of skiing they don’t seem the have picked up to much damage and I suppose I can use them easily for another 70 days without any serious damage or wear and tear. I wax them around all two weeks (when in use) and my tip would be to wax them quite carefully and precisely.

You don’t want the wax in the stitches. I suppose you don’t really have to wax them but I like to do it anyway for that little softer feeling. The thing on the middle finger to connect them to my backpack is the only criticism I have, but first I want to say it works just fine and thank you to the designer who put it on the middle- and not the Ringfinger (much better choice).

However it frays and it started doing that quite early on (which you can cut off but still it’s annoying).

The gloves fit well on my very small hands. They’re definitely warm. The only down side is that they’re rather thick, making routine movements like locking a door, getting anything out of a pocket or purse, or even blowing my nose very clumsy; I have to keep taking them off and putting them on again.

But. gloves that fit and keep my hands warm are well worth that minor inconvenience.

I have Raynaud’s. These gloves are the most helpful I’ve found. The quality is subpar. I bought 2 pairs. They both fell apart at several seams. I reached out to customer service. They told me they’d pass the info and pictures to their QC department.

They didn’t offer to replace them or even a discount on a new pair.

I love these gloves. I have purchased so many gloves in my time that claim to be warm and just aren’t. I have raynauds so it’s incredibly painful for me when I feel the cold. I used these recently climbing Mam tour and they kept me so warm, I highly recommend.

They are a little on the tight side (maybe why they work so good) so just be aware when purchasing.

I bought these during lockdown as Ive been walking loads and my hands have suffered. Not the warmest gloves but comfy and do the job except when the weather is sub zero. Worth the money.
