These are a perfect combination of the first 2 pairs I bought. These have some solid fabric (suede?) along with mesh on top to keep my feet from overheating. The first ones are solid fabric, which is great when it’s cold or rainy.

The second pair are all mesh (more like an open weave), and are good for warmer weather. So, I need all of them! The pros – a variety of colors, even in narrow widths; enough cushion for my aging feet without causing arch pain; the cost is much more reasonable than what I’ve been paying for years for the only narrow runner I could find.

Cons: the heel doesn’t fit as well as the rest, so if you wear low socks, they often get pulled down as I walk; my impression when looking at the tread is that it will allow me to slip more easily, though I’ve not had experiences to prove it.

I am so happy that I took a chance and purchased these shoes! I wanted a great pair of walking shoes, which allowed me to stand on my feet and support to my arches. These shoes does it all. I can take on San Francisco hills, run to catch a bus and walk throughout the airport without any problems.

The shoes are sturdy with thick soles. They have supported my lower back, knees and ankles. No more rolling ankle from uneven pavement. My toes are not crunched since the toe box is wide. My lower back doesn’t hurt from hard pavement and pounding.

Since my ankles and arches are supported my knees are not compensating for them. I highly recommend these shoes as I have purchased 4 pairs in three years!.

Got them for everyday wear, since I work from home now. I have an older dog who needs frequent walks. Also live in a city and do errands on foot. These are sturdy and give good support but note that I wear prescription orthotics.

Since I ordered the sneakers half a size larger to accommodate the insoles and the fit is a bit snug, they seem somewhat on the small side. They are not light. Another drawback is the new style of lacing-much harder to loosen or tighten.

Have to use a shoehorn because the top opening is a not very wide.

I have an unusual shoe size (5-1/2 wide) and New Balance is my go-to brand because of the availability in wide sizes. A couple years ago I found these very comfortable and supportive walking shoes in the gray color.

I wore them out! When I tried to reorder, I couldn’t find them in my size, so I switched to the dark blue suede. As others have mentioned, that color shoe has a cutout for the ankle that is way too high.

The dark blue ones are very painful at first, and with wear become painful by the end of the day, plus the tongue is short and thinly padded. Gray shoes work for winter and summer. I switched to a Saucony gray shoe which was squeakingly disastrous in quiet places.

I was thrilled to find New Balance again had the gray in my size (6 pairs left), and the next day I ordered a pair when only 2 pairs were left. New Balance makes great shoes, and I’ve never had a squeaky pair.

I wear custom orthotics that work great with NB since the factory insole is removeable, and the type of sole on this shoe is exactly what my podiatrist recommended. I hope NB continues to stock them!.

When I discovered these tennis shoes a decade ago I was able to stop my perpetual search for a good walking shoe. This is the only tennis shoe I have worn since. This purchase was my fifth or sixth over the last decade or so.

I have flat, 12 AA, weak-ankled feet. I was always overly cautious walking because I would twist my ankles so easily. These shoes have a sole that spans the entire width of the shoe providing a broad walking surface.

That broad walking surface has given me the confidence I need to walk freely again and is the main reason I love this shoe. The inserts can be removed and it has the extra shoelace eyelets that allow you different lacing styles.

(The sales associate at the store showed me that trick!) Absolutely true to size when you have your foot size measured correctly in a shoe store. During Covid, the local shoe store I usually go to could not get these in in my size.

Even now, they have not been able to. I found these at New Balance online and they were delivered quickly.

My podiatrist recommended New Balance walking shoes many years ago because I do a lot of walking. He recommended buying two pairs and switching off and on wearing one pair one day and the other pair the next day.

That way I only need to buy shoes once a year. One pair of shoes worn every day wear out in about six months. In six months, the cost could go up again. I finally found the right style after some unsure purchases.

I used to shop in all the local stores that carried New Balance shoes. It was a tremendous trial and very time consuming. I finally found out how to shop online. I always use this style. The color may change depending on what is available.

I think because of the problem with merchandise being stuck on ships at some ports because of the problem with truck drivers either striking or not enough of them, I had to wear my last pair about 1 ½ years.

I love my New Balance shoes and wouldn’t wear anything else. Style 982 V3 are the best and fit so well. My personal tip: When you buy new shoes don’t wear a new pair all day for the first few days or a week so you can break them in gently and your feet won’t hurt.

My new Romy walking shoes are just as comfortable as the old ones that I have worn to a nub! I purchased the taupe color this time, which is a nice neutral color. Instead of a white sole and trim, these have a very light cream color, which I like.

These shoes were so comfortable from the very first time I wore them. No break-in time is needed. Although these do not have a pronounced arch support, they work well with my orthotics which give me the arch support I need.

I wear a 10. 5 narrow, but have to get these in 11 narrow since they don’t have the half size I need. The fit is still good for me though, probably because of my orthotics. This is my third pair of Romys, so you know I have to like them to keep buying them.

As long as Easy Spirit does not change the way these are made (no “new and improved” needed!), I’ll be a lifelong customer. These were on back order, so I did have to wait several weeks to receive my order.

Since there was no critical need, that was not a problem for me.

I shop at the Rookwood Location where all the Staff are so willingly to help you find the right shoes. On this particular day I had that special person! I gave her my shoe size 10. 5-11 and width. not too many narrow widths but we managed.

I was just at my wit when my special customer service person showed me one last shoe and yes it was in my size but not the width. Not too many walking shoes have narrow widths, but anyway; I tried it on and oh my goodness it felt so good on my feet as I walked around.

I have really crappy feet. The rest of me is holding up pretty well, but I have bunions, arthritis, plantar fasciitis, ugh! I have had a few pairs of Rykas – when I buy a new pair every 1-3 years, the old ones become my gardening shoes, and I only buy a new pair when I’ve absolutely trashed the garden pair.

They hold up really well, and I wear them a LOT when I’m not in office shoes. Three months ago I had surgery on one foot, and recovery has been slow and painful. It has been difficult to find shoes with enough support for the PF and still are kind to my bunion surgical area.

In almost desperation I pulled out my Rykas (garden shoes – I admit I was unfaithful last year when I tried another brand, but the other brand is only OK). I put the Rykas on, and I kid you not, I sighed out loud in happiness.

Then I took my dog for a long walk! Still supportive, still distributing my weight well as I walk. These sneakers are reasonably priced, well made, above all comfortable! I just ordered a new pair, but I’ll keep wearing my garden shoes until they arrive!.

I looked for a year or more to find a shoe that didn’t cause my feet and back to hurt and love your Skywalk 2.

Have back troubles and wear own orthotic and could actually start walking again. Looks like you only sold them once and quit making them. Your other products aren’t that great. Bring back something people can wear and liked just like they were originally sold.

I just got my Quiet Grey size 71/2 M Ryka new walking shoes this week. Wow, what a great fit. I love the cushioning when you step down. My ONLY request would be that the inside ‘top’ of the toe box be lined.

I cannot wear these without sox as they have open seams on sides and the mesh atop is scratchy That means I can not wear them bare footed as I’d hoped for my summer walking routine. Sox are fine in the winter, but wish I had the option to go without when I want.

The Grey with accents of Turquoise is very nicely done and attractive. I know I won’t come home now with throbbing feet and legs as I’ve been doing in my Sketchers. These Rykas have great support and my steps feel solid.

I’m not a young person any more and secure footing is very important to me. I can tell these keep me well balanced. I’ve worn Rykas in the past and didn’t appreciate what they do for me until I got a little older and can FEEL what this kind of fit and support means to my body when walking.

I highly recommend these. I recommend choosing your correct size, No need to adjust. These are JUST RIGHT.

It is very hard to find a nice looking athletic shoe that has a FIRM sole and a rollbar. I have numerous foot problems — achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, peroneal tendonitis, arthritis — and I am still young-ish.

But my podiatrist said to get these shoes because they have a firm sole which will take pressure off my joints and tendons and that is exactly what’s happened. I am already feeling relief and can walk again without crippling pain.

New Balance, PLEASE do not change the firm sole on this shoe! It has just the right amount of cushioning and firmness. I’ve heard rumors that a new version will be coming out with a “more flexible” sole.

PLEASE DO NOT DO THAT! Flexibility is NOT what people buy this shoe for — it’s the opposite of what we need. You’ve got a million other styles with flexibility. Leave this one alone! (Do however, make the tongue longer and wider.

It’s too short and slides under the laces. ).

A shoe that is almost perfect but some major flaws make it unwearable. TONGUE IS TOO SHORT. Drastically short. So much that if you use the top eyelets the tongue slides UNDER the laces, making the top eyelets unusable.

The sole is very supportive, exactly what I needed. So I’m really disappointed that this truncated tongue make the shoes impossible for me to wear. I have lots of foot issues, plantar fasciitis, achilles tendonitis/bursitis/spur, and the rollbar support these provide would have been just right for me.

Another thing to note is they are shaped narrow and short. If you have a long, narrow foot they will work. I have a narrow heel but a wide forefoot. I had to order a Wide width and a full size larger than normal because they were too short and tight.

If these were made on the SL1 last with a longer tongue I could wear them. But they’re made on the SL2 which is more the shape of a slender rectangle than an oval (my foot shape). I’ll have to keep looking for another motion control shoe with a properly sized tongue.

So disappointing.

I exclusively buy Ryka Sneakers, so, I have been a loyal customer for years. I love their products and have many pairs to the point where my son insists that I have a “crippling sneaker addiction”. That being said, it is very disappointing when they send you a discount code that you can’t really use (because you get all the way to check out, which I guess is the goal, getting you in to order and hoping you went far enough not to cancel) when you go to complete your order as it comes up expired.

when you have an e-mail showing it is not expired. Then you provide the feedback and get blown off. Then, there are these constant “SALE” e-mails baiting you with the appearance of a great discount. I bought several of these sneakers and they were 79.

99 just months ago (that IS the regular price and the previous sales made them roughly 64. 00). Now I get these mails bombarding me touting 25% off and free shipping like it’s a great holiday deal when I see they jacked up the price to 99.

99 to take that 25% “off”. These sneakers NORMALLY sell for 79. 99, not 99. 99. I have several pairs, like I said. This “sale” is actually 5 bucks off the regular price. not 25%. Free shipping deals are frequently offered.

That “25%” is really just smoke and mirrors. They increased these to the same price as the Fempower Pro walking shoe for holiday buyers. Ryka makes high quality, comfortable products, many in wide widths which I love but.

no huge holiday bargain here. Buyers should understand they will save 5 dollars (6. 2% not 25%). It is still a little money off but not what it appears. I suppose it is too much to expect any transparency in retail at this point, but, as a loyal customer for years, I did expect better from Ryka.

I purchased this shoe last May and am just now taking the time to review it. I was literally too disgusted with this purchase to even be bothered with using any more of my time toward it. But, I got time TODAY, as the expression goes.

I am a person who hates the hassel and lost time out of my life dealing with printing return labels, repackaging something, driving around in this new Covid world during a surge to find a Fed Ex or UPS drop off location, because they charge you to pick it up from your house, etc.

, so it wasn’t worth the effort or extra expense. I literally just threw these shoes in the trash within a month of trying to give them a chance. The padding is thin and uncomfortable, and for the high price and hype about this brand, I should not have had to travel to the store and spend my time and gas and wait in long lines during a pandemic to pay $20 on better insoles for over $100 shoes.

Also, the shoe did not feel like a true wide, and uncomfortably rubbed my baby toe on each foot, so I tried thinner socks and putting a small cushion pad on the side of my baby toes to help. After making these adjustments, the comfort level increased, but just with normal wear, within a month, the shoe was unraveling and coming apart in various places; just not properly sewn or constructed.

Throw the whole shoe and the whole brand away! Wasted money!.

I’ve only bought New Balance most of my life. First time trying something new although I’m aware of Ryka products and my New Balance shoe was sold out. However, I am glad I tried these shoes, just like most people have said, they are very light, comfortable and I was amazed how light and comfortable they really are.

I have not warned them enough to answer a reviewer that complained about the bottom of the shoe going out very fast, I only use them for walking and nothing else, so I can’t answer if it’s true or not that the sole of the shoe doesn’t last.

I hope that’s not true it would be very disappointing after everything else is quite positive. One Con is the lack of better colors, not a fan of multiple colors on shoes and definitely do not like the orange that came with these shoes I bought, the light blue is very pretty but the orange ruined it for me.

I am keeping them because I just like everything else about it and the rest of the colors are not much better for me. Solid colors would be a plus. The shoe does run a bit small so I would go up a size unless you like a tight fit, but you need some wiggle room especially while walking when your feet start to swell somewhat.

I have experienced bruised toes for years due to Morton’s Toe. I came across Healthy Feet Store website trying to find running shoes that would relieve my sore toes. I am so grateful that I did!! I ordered Propet athletic shoes with a wide toe box and they are perfect.

I can now be on the elliptical as long as I want with no pain- and no pain afterwards! My shoes were reasonably priced and I received them promptly. I will most definitely be ordering other shoes from them.

Thinking I would add a new color of this exact shoe to my collection, I was truly disappointed to find the sizing to be very off. The shoe was too short and too narrow. I already own two pairs of the same size, so I was expecting these to be the same.

Unfortunately, I have to return them.

These shoes fit me great! I’m glad there’s a company that makes shoes with very wide width. It’s hard to find anything that fits me. I’m very happy with these, plus they’re cute!

This is my first pair of Ryka Shoes. I usually wear NB’s, however, I ordered the Ryka Devotion Plus 2 Walking shoe to replace my NB’s which were causing foot fatigue and foot pain by the end of the day even though they were only 2 weeks old.

So far, I am very impressed with the comfort of the Ryka Devotion Plus 2 Walking shoe. I had no foot fatigue at the end of day one and it took approximately 3 days for the foot pain to leave completely.

I am on my feet anywhere from 10 hrs. to 12 hrs. per day, 5 to 6 days per week. I work on concrete floors and move briskly throughout the day, walking 13,000 plus steps each day. The Ryka Devotion 2 Plus Walking shoe is extremely lite and feels like a feather on your feet.

They have very nice arch support and cushioning at the toe bed. Comfort is fantastic! I gave 4 stars out of 5 because I am not sure about the overall quality of the Devotion Plus 2 Walking shoe and how long they will last.

My NB’s seem to be of much better quality material, but the Ryka’s and the NB’s are made with different materials. So, 4 stars may be inappropriate, only time will tell. With that said, at current time, I would definitely buy the Ryka Devotion Plus 2 Walking show again and recommend them to my family and friends.

I will try to give an update on durability and wear after a couple of months of use.

Just received these shoes, tried them on and walked around my home, then boxed them up for return. Nope and NOPE! I have purchased six pair of Rykas in the past for working out. I need good arch support.

These are not it! The mesh sides allow the little bit of raised insole at the arch to just fall over. There is absolutely no arch support in these and I’m shocked they are advertised as such. I have other Rykas with mesh but the firmness in material near the arch is greater and the insole has a thicker/ firmer arch support area as well.

They were cute, that’s it. Oh, and I also think they run short. I wear an 8. 5 in all other brands of tennis shoes and consistently need a 9M in the Ryka brand. This 9M has my toe right at the tip of the shoe.

Why can there be no consistency within the same brand? I’m disappointed. I have two more trainers on order and almost here to try out. I hope they are advertised with truth and really offer the arch support I need.

Good shoe. The foam is very soft, shoe seems like it will last awhile. It’s not a premium hiking shoe, but the price reflects that. For the price, you can’t do any better. Fit was true. No break in needed.

Mostly as expected. Right size and comfortable fit. I got the brown, and they are somewhat more gray than pictured, and I think they skimped a bit on the laces. Really just got these for yard work and casual wear.

I am satisfied so far. Have only had them for a week or two.

I thought there would be the usual foot pains with new shoes. Not with these. I wore them to the hospital where I work to break them in. I walk alot of steps. They fit perfectly with no pain or blisters.

Soooo comfortable; they are my new work shoe.

Very light in weight but supportive and wet weather proof

Lovely shoes exactly what I wanted but inside one there was a flap of material protruding on to my toe. I suspect they hadn’t been fully trimmed before assembly. I returned then requesting exchange.

Good width, I have a broad foot. I’ve not tested the waterproof quality as yet, but they look good and are comfortable to wear.

Great Shoe for narrow feet. I have worn this walking shoe for at least 25 years. So sorry that Easy Spirit has discontinued it. If you find new AP1, Size 7AAA in white leather, please let me know at once.

Love the WW width, wish it wasn’t so hard to find. Easy spirit is one of the last companies that still make leather shoes. Why is it so hard to make leather shoes these days. What are they doing with all the cattle pelts? I hope companies change back, these woven materials are a joke, they have no support and they stretch till your foot is just squashy in the shoe.

Thank goodness for Easy spirit still making the AP1, it is comfortable from the first try- on. I would suggest that they make wide shoes with a smaller heel, or with a heel cup that can be added so the heel doesn’t slip around.

I am a walker, not a runner, not a stroller. I walk. Not really speed walk but probably not far from. My ASICS are usually fine but I wanted something with a little more cushioning and support. These Rykas are great and honestly you can feel the extra spring they provide in your step.

I can do just over a 16 minute/mile pace for 2+ miles with more ease, and was able to go under 16 min/mile a few times. And I live in WV so that’s up and down hills. If it was flat, I could do 15-min/mile easy in these.

I will say that I bought the 8. 5 and I probably should have gone with the 9. I’m either of those sizes depending on the shoe. So if you’re kinda between, go with the size up. I hate when shoes are too long because my heel tends to swim in them.

But these at the size up wouldn’t have that problem. That being said, the 8. 5 are only a wee bit short. Bottom line is that if you are a walker for exercise, you will love these. They will B absolutely make a difference in your step.

I have a hard time finding sneakers for wide feet that are true to size and comfortable, until now! After trying almost every brand possible, I bit the bullet and spent a little more than usual on this purchase.

I now see why! You pay for what you get! And these sneakers are totally worth it if you’re looking for comfort, light weight and super cute and vibrant. I got the yellow highlighter looking color (they say it’s neon green I believe) but it’s more highlighter yellow to me.

Anyway, I think I’ll only buy Ryka from now on!.

I bought these excited to get a Ryka walking shoe. I wasn’t sure of size, so went by size guide. It took forever to get these and when I finally did, I was thrilled…until I put them on. They were small,still, tight.

I was so disappointed because I had a previous pair of Vera sneakers that I absolutely LOVED. Because it to so long to get these, I’ll probably just try to sell them myself and stick with my Brooks for walking.

Get quicker shipping and maybe revisit your size chart and I might consider trying your product again.

I purchased these in my “regular” size – 10W. Am very thankful QVC seems to have great shoes in sizes for people with larger and wider feet. I tried this shoe because I have metatarsus adductus – c-curved feet.

It was never corrected when I was a child and I only discovered the issue after I went to a podiatrist. Typically finding supportive, fashionable shoes is a royal annoyance. I have to wear custom orthotics.

Saw these and thought I would give them a try. As I was working out in them the big toe on my left foot kept bumping into the front of the shoe–hmmm. too small. But I liked all the other aspects of fit and comfort.

Sooooooooo I decided to try another pair in a 1/2 size larger. PERFECT workout shoe! I’m keeping both pairs. So if you are like me consider sizing up a 1/2 size in these. Other than that I have never had such a comfortable supportive shoe that fits my custom orthotics beautifully! Thank you, GDEFY!!! Now if you only made shoes other than athletic ones with the same support comfort.

I rarely write reviews but use them myself extensively, so I really have to submit one about these shoes. I have high arches and always get arch pain and other foot problems when walking. Not with these.

These are by far the most supportive and comfortable walking shoes (including sneakers and hiking boots!) I have ever worn. They provide several different orthotic inserts that you can try separately or put them all together, and this is the key.

You must try the different variations to get just the right fit and level of support you are looking for (read the instructions!). I ended up using all of the orthotics together and do not get the heal pain from walking that I would always get from other shoes (even Keen hiking boots, which I love, and Skechers Archfits, which I also love).

Just try them!.

I have been looking for some good athletic shoes for a while due to planter and other feet issues. To go grocery shopping, etc is very painful. Standing in one spot for longer than a few seconds makes my feet hurt.

They feel like I am standing on bone with no padding. A friend bought these and after checking them out, I decided to give them a try. So glad I did. First they have a lot of support on the bottom, where my feet aren’t even close to the floor.

Then they include two inserts for added padding. I wore them shopping and they make all the difference in the world. Finally a shoe that is “cushy” enough to keep my sensitive feet from hurting. Highly recommend!.
