20 Best Women’S Dress Shoes For Wide Feet (2023 Updated)

They fit great probably for the first 20 minutes then after that they hurt my feet. Also, for some reason the left shoe was a bit bigger and it would slightly come off every 4 steps. I tried to return them but they told me NO because I had already worn them.

So now I have a pair of shoes I cannot wear or return. I recommend buying the brand Clark, they have some very similar heels to these.

I got these in a size 10 medium, as they did not have wide in store or online. They were very simple and classic looking that can be worn in a variety of ways. I am giving it 4 stars because of the sizing.

The 10 fit me in store perfectly after walking a lap around the whole store but could feel a slight pinch in my toes. I took them home and when breaking them for a few days in a gap formed between my shoe and my heel, making it hard to walk as shoes slipped constantly- something to consider is that they could grow /reshape.

I will have to consider getting heel bandages/ other alternatives to make it work.

It’s about time I graduated from a Payless shoe into something that’s actually comfortable. My feet deserve better than the blisters those old shoes caused. I am SO happy with my Michelle Pumps and my only regret is not getting them sooner.

I have a pair in beige and red and my next pair will be black.

I have been wearing these shoes for at least 10 years. Sadly, the quality is not what it used to be. The last couple years, (Doris black) right heal cover comes off after 7 mos. It makes the back heal area slippery when walking on certain types of floors.

In Nov of ’20, I slipped and fractured my knee cap. I reorder a new pair in July 2021. In 2022, the heal cover came off again! I am giving them another try. I hope they have fixed this issue. For the price, I would expect better quality.

Since I have a very narrow foot, Trotters has been my go-to brand to look for my shoes. They don’t have many trendy styles, but mostly have classic styles and colors which I prefer. When I find a pair of shoes like the Doris style I keep them for quite a while and sometimes order the same style in more than one color.

Doris is one of those shoes.

I can’t believe this shoe. I ordered my regular size 8N. Now, in most brands, this style in an 8N fits perfectly. I LOVE this shoe, BUT beware ladies. The narrow is so narrow I could barely squeeze (and I do mean squeeze) my foot into the shoe, and even then, my foot would not go all the way into the shoe because it’s too short.

I was soooo disappointed. I love this shoe and it is exactly what I need for an upcoming wedding rehearsal. I am hoping that QVC will work with me to find a good fit. The black micro looks expensive and will go beautifully with my Susan Graver pants.

If I can get QVC to work with me on this, I will re order until I find the perfect size. I like the shoe itself that much, however, I cannot afford to continue to return these shoes until I find the perfect fit.

Another reviewer had mentioned how ‘hard’ these shoes are, and me, being a shoe lover and all thought I could soften them up with some of my old shoe charm. nope! These things made me break out in a sweat while walking to the mirror to see how cute they were and it’s almost as if something evil happened to my feet.

So pretty but so painful. I feel bad because I have anticipated this shoe for so long, and even wasted my discounts on them. But, live and learn. They are adorable and the colors can go for any season, really.

They just were trying to secretly kill my feet, so I had to let go. Sad.

I really liked this shoe! It was so cute on my size 12W foot. I had to send it back because it was so uncomfortable. It did not feel like a wide width and my toes were so cramped. The fit was so off, that it makes he hesitant to try another shoe from this brand.

Please try to manufacture this shoe again and improve the fit!.

The shoes are attractive and fit well. They are snug, but not uncomfortable. I purchased my usual size 8. 5. I found them a bit pricey for the quality. I had to take a permanent black marker to them because of the lighter colored piping that stops and was cut right at the foot line.

For a shoe line supposedly designed for comfort, these run way small. I usually wear an 8. 5 W or a 9 regular. Normally if I order any larger than that, the shoes are almost falling off my feet. Since these have a strap that would prevent a ‘too loose fit’, I ordered 9 W.

I couldn’t even stand in them, as sitting for 5 minutes made my feet hurt from the pressure of my feet being squeezed. The leather is incredibly stiff as well. If I felt any flexibility at all in the leather, I’d simply trade them a size up.

Returning asap.

I ordered a wide and this shoe would have gotten a higher rating but the band across the top of the foot is too loose. I was thinking of cutting it off, but then went down a half of a size and it’s better.

The difference between a 9 and 9. 5 was pretty substantial. So I’d order your normal size; I go between 9 and 10 but 9. 5 was too big. Great color and back of heel feels comfy- not cutting in.

I like these shoes. They are very cute and would be comfortable if they fit properly. I have worn a size 10 forever and every pair of shoes I own is a 10 but because of the cushion in these, they are very tight, especially in the toe area.

They also squeak embarrassingly when walking on a hard surface.

I’ve been wearing to hear at work. I do not walk to work. Inside is a combination of tile, wood and low pile carpet. I have worn them maybe 7 times and they were comfy. I love the look of them and was looking for a similar more closed Mary Jane for fall.

until today when I noticed the heel of the right shoe is very squishy. I’m not sure what is going on with it but it doesn’t feel especially secure for walking on. I can literally push in on the center of the heel like some sort of squeaky toy ( no squeaks, though).

It is not maintaining it’s shape when I squeeze it between my fingers, either. So, I m not sure what is up with it and am therefore taking away stars from these beautiful, comfortable shoes. So, so sad.

( I’ll take them to the shoemaker this week and see why he thinks. Annoying to think about paying to have a secure heel applied to new shoes. ) I will also contact Shoemall and Easy Spirit.

Bought this shoe to wear to a banquet. I wore the shoes with straight leg pants and they looked great. The shoe would look great with with a dress or suit also. Loved the height and size of the heel as I am past the age of trying to walk on skinny high heels and feel comfortable.

Also the strap with the Velcro made the shoe easy to put on and was very comfortable to wear.

Drop what you’re doing and buy these shoes. In every color! They are classy, timeless, and comfortable enough that I can wear them and be on my feet all day. They’re everything!

Follow the European to American size conversion and you should get the right fit. I wear American 6 1/2 or 7 hoping I will find a wide width. The European size 5. 5. with it’s normally wider shoe was a perfect fit.

I never have been a heeled shoe wearer if I could avoid it but was going to attend my nephew’s wedding and was not going to wear flats. I don’t think any heel is “comfortable” but this was the most comfortable heel I’ve ever worn.

I did put a clear, thin gel pad made for heels in it for added cushion and was surprised that wearing a heeled shoe felt so natural. I loved the look of this shoe. The ankle strap really set off my dress.

In the catalog, this shoe looked like the perfect match for my maroon dress. I needed them for a wedding. When the shoes arrived, the color was not MAROON but PURPLE! It clashed with my dress. I had to send them back for a refund.

I have a fractured sesmoid bone in my foot. On the same foot I have a tailors bunion. Both caused by wearing pretty but impractical shoes for at conferences. I have tried other shoes like from Naturalizer and Vionic and my foot still screamed due to the fracture.

These shoes actually do not hurt! Trotters, please use the arch support and cushioning in this shoe to make a strappy summer business sandal with a 1 1/2 tapered heel that looks sexy.

If you have wide feet this is the shoe! Because I have wide chunky feet it’s hard to find the right heels. I buy from size 9-8. 5 and 8W. I bought these 8 in standard size and winged it, and it was the best choice I made.

The fit is perfect and very comfortable, the bands in the front are not tight on my fat feet lol. I love these. The perfect shoe for church, I know I will be comfortable to jumó and worship because the hight is also perfect I never wear anything over 2.

5in and these are just comfortable.

I have wide feet and purchased a wide in my usual size. The shoe was uncomfortable as soon as i slipped it on and walked a few steps. My feet have gotten accustomed to shoes with more cushion/padding on the sole and these didn’t seem to off much.

Plus the diagonal straps looked tacky to me once i put the shoe on. I love the wine color but these aren’t for my feet.

I have so many navy pieces including handbags but couldn’t find the right semi dressy shoe. They are stylish , great color, more comfortable than I expected and love that it is not totally flat. There is support too.

I ordered a size 7 wide and it fitted like a size 8. 5/9! Material felt stiff and uncomfortable so even if I sized it down, it will not matter as far as comfort goes. ‘Tis a pity as I quite like the color and design.

My intent was to utlize this product as a casual Friday shoe in the office. The appearance is professional and attactive. However, the sizing is very mis-leading. I wear a size 7. 5 and that is what I ordered, however the shoe fit was extremely large.

I then offered the shoes to my daughter that wears an 8. 5 and the shoes were too big for her! I returned the shoes and am hopeful that the smaller size I have since order will fit correctly.

These shoes are beautiful yes , I ordered the 8 1/2 in Gold and its a beautiful muted glittery Gold. But I didn’t notice the zipper in back , when I ordered them. They are slip on shoes. It wasn’t easy putting them on even ordering a wide.

I panic as they were for my own Church Wedding(repeating Vows 55 years Anniversary ) the next day ! I finally slipped them on and they fit a little big. I really wear an 8 W but thought *I want to be comfortable(to dance ) so I’ll order a half size larger and boy am I glad I did.

I can’t imagine slipping them on , on a size 8 w with the zipper in back. You won’t be disappointed with these shoes , just keep in mind the zipper is in back. If you have a wide foot as I do , order a half size larger.

They are comfortable to wear and dance in. I didn’t take them off all night as I usually bring a lower(Flats) shoes to change to, to dance in. Not this time. I highly recommend these shoes , I got loads of compliments.

I love the look of theses shoes. I was concerned because the only option was narrow or wide width. I got the wide and it worked. In time for a cruise.

I was looking for red, flat shoes for Christmas and found these. I wear 6. 5 wide. They are nice shoes. The only problem is that they are a little tight across the toe area, despite being wide. I almost wonder if my pair has been imperfectly sewn in that area.

Otherwise, it’s a nice shoe. I only wear them for a short time, so it is not a problem.

I fell in love with these shoes and bought a pair in size 11. I am a size 12. I read the reviews and recommendations that they run large and will be a size bigger then you order. So I took the chance in good faith and bought the 11`s, as the 12`s were not available.

Well when they came they were far too small for my feet, and sadly I had to return them. Am still waiting for my refund. I see now other colours are available in this shoes in size 12, but white is NOT! If white becomes available again I will order them in size 12.

They are sooo cute!!! The wide strap on top gives your ankles really good support. I have wider feet and these fit perfectly! The block heel is also very nice, gives you good balance. They go well with any dress, my absolute favorite pair of heels!.

These heels are so beautiful. I have always struggled to find heels that fit me because of my wide feet. These are the 1st pair that actially fits me perfectly. The only thing is that they hurt my feet.

Not sure if it’s because I rarely walked in heels my entire life or they actually do need a little more support on the bottom of my feet. Also, in closed toed shoes I’m 7 1/2 and on sandals I’m 8. I took a risk and decided to go with 71/2.

I love them! These are so comfy for my wide feet! I would probably side down a bit though, I normally wear a size 5. 5 and I think a size 5 would have fit perfect. Waiting for a restock so I can buy the black pair in a size 5!.

In an open toe shoe is usually 8-8. 5, and depending on how the shoe is cut and the length, in most cases Wide Width. This shoe is a true 8. 5W, even the length. I first ordered the 8W according to reviews that said shoe runs large and go down a 1/2 size.

I have a high instep and broke the bone in my left foot twice, so I need the width to be wider for that foot. If you have a bunion, hammer toes or just a wider foot, get a wide width, you will not regret it.

If you have a slender or average feet with no issues, then average width will work. Hope this helps.

I wanted to love these shoes, they are so cute, but I had to return them. I bought in my usual size and they fit, however they still hurt a LOT! The edge/corner where the toe cap joins to the side of the shoe was digging into the side of my foot.

Not because my feet were wide (mine are narrow/regular), but because there is zero give to the shoe, so as soon as I was standing, the weight of my body was pushing my foot into the edge and felt like it was about to be cut.

For that reason alone I new I had to return them. On top of it, the quality is very cheaply made, the outer decorative coating wasn’t applied very well, so upon closer inspection, you could see where next to the sole, the coating was too high/low in places.

I returned in store and the cashier said this is the number one brand she sees getting returned, primarily because of how uncomfortable they are.

I was so excited to order these shoes. I love a t-strap heel, which is not something easy to come by in wide width. Finally they arrive and they are as adorable as anticipated! I tried them on and they fit great too.

Only problem is that I can’t wear them because they absolutely reek of cigarette smoke smell. It’s been a week of them being outside on the porch and I still can’t get the smell to go away. I am hopeful that someday I’ll actually get to wear them out of the house.

Beware if you have a sensitivity to smoke.

Very cute looking shoes! Heel height was perfect for my 5’10” height. The shade of the fabric material was a rich shade of navy. BUT I found the elastic straps a bit tight around my instep. I purchased an 11 wide for my toe box but my heel is narrow and still felt the elastic dig into my instep— wasn’t severe, but not comfortable.

My legs are slim but my ankles swell a little if I’ve been standing too long or in the heat of summer (purchased in March). So I knew once either of those moments took place, they straps would be tighter.

Hated to send these very pretty shoes back!!.

This shoe is so practical, cute, and sexy. Looks equally smart with jeans, dresses, capri’s, etc. Fits comfortably from the beginning. Do remove the paper insert if you hear squeaking while trying them on.

I thought it was the quality of the shoe at first and realized the thin cardboard was the culprit. The navy is a very dark navy. The taupe is a beautiful neutral color. I was able to go down half a size comfortably, especially if you choose a wider width which I don’t normally do but works fine with this shoe.

These are a great color—pink, but still a neutral that goes with lots of colors. Despite the heel, these are comfortable for all-day work wear, unless you spend the whole day on your feet. As a teacher who’s on her feet a lit, I admit that I was getting a little sore by the end of the day, but these would have been fine if I’d spent more time at my desk! Good fit, and the elastic ankle straps are very forgiving—tight enough to keep the shoes on securely, but not so tight as to cut off circulation.

If these came in other colors I needed and could justify, I’d definitely get another pair!.
