20 Best Women’S Boots For Snowshoeing (2023 Updated)

I wanted to love these and keep them; however, I found them a bit too bulky in the toe area for me. I know that style is not the main concern/function of these boots; however, for the price it was an issue for me.

I didn’t keep them so I can’t speak to the performance; however, when I tried them on they were comfortable (used my thick winter socks) and felt sturdy. They didn’t feel as light as I had expected based on the description.

That is understandable; however, when you consider the high quality materials used and the purpose of these boots. My intention with these boots was to use them for snowshoeing, casual winter hikes, and overall warmth in -23 Quebec days.

If they go on sale I may repurchase them, but for full price and for my limited use, I couldn’t justify the cost.

I sized up a half size. I was about to order the next size up but decided the length wouldprobably be too long. This would be a really great boots with lots of extra to room for someone with an average or narrow foot.

I think that’s a weaknesses and it’s not quite enough support to be winter running bpot. Play warm enough to be a go to winter boot. However they might work really great for you are you on your foot shape.

My toes feel cramped inside and under supported through the midfood. But for a boot- it’s a really nice fit. As for me I’m still searching for a boot with ample toe room for extra socks and regular shaped toes (wide?) and some decent decent support.

I’ve always had a great experience with Salomon boots, and these are no exception. These are just as comfortable and good quality as their hiking boots, but even more waterproof I think. I injured my foot a couple months ago and needed boots that would be supportive and make it easy to walk, and these were some of the only boots that could do it.

Highly recommended. A note about sizing: I’m an 8. 5 in (Salomon) ski boots and 11 in running shoes. A 9 in these fits me well, but I went with a 10 because I wanted to wear these boots with thick socks, and I wanted more space with my injured semi-swollen foot, so that worked out great for me.

At first I thought the calve/upper portion of these boots was too tight, but then I just loosened how tightly I tied them and the calve was great.

I was so excited to receive these boots so quickly. They would be perfect for taking the dog on walks in the woods and park, with mud, puddles, gravel and snow. The soles have great traction; they appear to be waterproof around the bottom, and they have a lip on the heal so you can get them off.

They seem warm enough for winter, as well, and have pretty good foot support for walking. However, they were just too tight around the top of the boot, above my ankles, at the opening. It felt like I was wearing shackles.

And I don’t have large shins/calves, either. I ordered my normal size that I wear in other Merrells (8 1/2). The fit was ok with my wool like socks that I normally wear in fall/winter. I think if I sized up, they would be too big and slip, and the ankle may still be too snug.

I really wanted to keep these, but they were too uncomfortable, so sent them back. I’ll have to try to get to a store to try others on to see if others fit the same.

I have been a Merrell CHAMELEON wearer for many, many years. Now that we live at the coast, I needed something that would not allow the sand in when walking on the beach; the sand was going into the fabric/vents of my Chameleon’s.

I found these on the Merrell site, noticed they were waterproof (a HUGE plus), they were “WARM” another huge plus (we are on the Oregon Coast, and chilly in Winter), great lugs on bottom for traction, and I liked the look of the shoe.

They are all I was hoping for and absolutely comfortable as ever (I have flat feet, and can only wear a few brands of shoes). These are a win for me. (They run very true to size). I have 10. 5D shoes.

These boots are AMAZING! Took them to Montana for hiking in the Rocky Mountains. These boots are completely waterproof and keep your feet warm for a long time. I was able to climb rocks, forest floors and through water for miles at a time without any traction problems.

I also wear them EVERY single day for walking my giant Alaskan malamutes through wet soggy fields, snow and ice in NE Penna. , and they perform fantastic! These are the only boot you need. These will be the only boot you will want to wear.

They are very comfortable. I have to get another pair for backup!.

I owned this boot in the brown color previously. I purchased it from a local retailer. They were warm and kept my feet dry and the traction was quite good. The boots were quite roomy, and I have a difficult time finding boots that are a good fit due to the unusual sizing of my feet.

I also liked the fact that I could wear them with extra socks which helped to keep my feet toasty and warm. The only problem I had was the area at the top where I could thread the laces through. I did not know at the time that Bearpaw had a return policy for their boots, if I did I would have replaced them.

They lasted me a good three years in inclement weather, and with prolonged waits for buses and walking through as much as four or more feet of snow. I got a lot of compliments from other people and even met a few people who stated that they had a family member who had purchased from Bearpaw, or purchased a pair like mine.

What are the odds? I don’t write reviews, but I feel in this case this company deserves one for this pair of boots. I would recomend them. I generally wear out my shoes pretty quickly, but I still have these as standbys for taking out the garbage and that type of things.

I am anticipating buying a new pair, and if possible an additional pair this year. I think for the price point they are a good investment. I have read other reviews elsewhere and most of them tend to be quite favorable.

Frankly, I’m surprised that there are not more here.

These boots are so cool! I can’t wait till we get snow so I can try them out. Walked around the house and they are so comfy and cozy. I normally wear an 8 1/2 and if I remember correctly they only come in full sizes (?) but these 9 worked out perfectly.

There is enough room in them for my winter socks without feeling like squished. So I suggest getting the 1/2 size up. And they will be perfect to tuck my jeans or leggings in. And my calves are a bit bigger but fit great there too.

Really cute and love the color. And can’t beat the price for name brand. A+++.

I bought these back in July and was initially happy with them but having worn them a few times now I have to say that they are not worth the money. Here is why: Yes they are comfortable but in the same way slippers are comfortable and you wouldn’t wear slippers on a hike.

They really don’t offer proper support and I find my feet are aching after a short walk. I had previously mentioned the poor insole and I put a gel insole in. This helped with the sore soles of my feet but actually the entire sole needs reworking to give better arch support.

I’ve noticed that because arch support is so poor that I’m now tending to pronate when walking – not good. Prior to these boots I was suffering a bit from achilles problem. It was on the mend but these boots do nothing to help it and I’ve found it aches more after a short walk in these boots than a long one in my Salomons.

I live in Scotland and these just don’t cut it on our hills. My feet get really wet and this is despite waxing the boot to improve the waterproofness. I don’t know what sort of leather they use, something perhaps from a desert dwelling mammal that absorbs water through it’s skin because that’s what I feel these boots do.

They do not react well to waxing either and the look of the boot is quite horrible now. And when they are wet, they weigh a ton. After a few hills I have resigned myself to not being able to wear them for that purpose and will be going back to my Salomons.

I relegated these Keens to out and about daily casual wear but even then my feet ache. To give an idea of comparative walks: Salomons – 20 mile a day hike for five consecutive days on a long distance walk – no issues – 23 mile hike on very rugged Scottish mountains – no issues – numerous other Scottish hills in bog, rock, river crossings – no issues Keen Revels – 13 mile coastal path in dry weather – feet aching at end of day – 5 mile walk around country lanes – feet aching – 5 mile boggy mountain walk – feet soaking and aching I will never buy Keen again :(.

I researched a lot for buying these boots as my feet have expanded in length and width with age. Happy to say they fitted right out of the box. I usually take a UK6 so got a UK6. 5 and there is plenty toe wriggle room and space without feeling like my foot is slipping around.

They lace up well and the laces stay in place unlike some other boots where I find they work themselves loose and need re-tieing every couple of hours. The soles are the grippiest I’ve ever experienced.

I was sceptical at first as the boots themselves, seemed very light but so far they have endured the Scottish mountains and bog and grass amazingly well, gripping to boulders and heather in equal measure.

I’ve yet to test them out in snow. I’d have given them five stars but for the following: – the insole is a little on the thin side. After a couple of long hikes, the soles of my feet were louping (Scottish word for sore), which normally never happens.

This was easily fixed with a gel insole and thick cushion loop socks but for the price I’d have expected a better insole; and – they certainly keep your feet dry from the elements but they don’t seem to let your feet breathe.

The inner membrane is Keen’s own brand but I’m doubting it’s of Goretex standard. After each hike, my feet were damp and not from letting water in. The inside of the boots themselves felt damp so I can only assume it was from my sweaty tootsies.

If you can sort out these two issues Keen then I’d have given you ten stars because they are great in all other respects. I don’t even mind the weird black colour.

Very sturdy boots. I feel safe and secure walking through snow and ice. I have owned these boots 2 winters and they are warm and comfortable and sturdy. I’ve had no issues with water getting in. They show no signs of wearing down, except the laces are just now starting to show signs of age – because I love to wear these, but not the boots themselves.

I love them and will look for them again whenever this pair needs replacing.

I love these boots. They look great and are comfortable but the sizing unfortunately may not work out for me. Still debating. I’m usually an 8 1/2, sometimes an eight and very rarely a nine if they run very small or narrow so I got both the eight and the nine to try hoping one would work.

The eight is a little too narrow and the nine seems a little too big. An 8 1/2 would be perfect But they only make full sizes unfortunately. For reference I would say I have average to slightly wider feet.

I figured I’d give these boots a full New England winter’s test before I reviewed and here it is: WOW. These are GREAT. Please do NOT stop making these because when they are worn into the ground, I’ll be repurchasing.

I never ventured out into the wet, cold wintry snow much until I got a puppy last spring and realized just how much I would need a waterproof pair of kicks. Every single time I went out, my sneakers and socks were SOAKED, my feet freezing.

and I have Reynauds syndrome which is bad circulation; Ive ended up with frostbite in my toes! I bit the bullet, did some research and got these in my usual size 8. I also purchased some thick wool socks.

Because of the socks, I could’ve gotten these boots in a half size smaller. They fit perfect with the socks, but if I want to wear the boots with regular socks, or not as thick wool socks, theres a little room to spare.

I tend to wear the thick socks though so its a non-issue in winter. I wore these almost daily for months and well into spring, when I didnt need such thick socks though. I also purchased the Joan of Arctic boots and those were great RIGHT after a blizzard in deep snow, and I thought I’d wear those all winter, but these boots were my go-to.

They still look brand new too, I just had to rinse the bottoms in the sink and they’re ready for next winter! Love the color combo too, black, tan with white faux fur! Love love love!.

Just bought these on sale this past weekend and have worn them every day. So far they are awesome and exactly what I was looking for. They’re lightweight, super easy to get on and off, and great traction on icy surfaces.

Perfect for walking the dog daily, no matter what the weather is doing! I always wear a size 9 and that’s what I got. Fits great with light socks or heavy socks.

Bought these last winter for dog walks/hikes, wore them for a few months, and just busted them out again this month as the snow began making a regular appearance. They are warm, incredibly comfortable, and sturdy.

They required little-to-no time to break in. I recommended them to alllll my neighbors. The laces frayed/broke fairly early on but I was able to replace them easily. That was no big deal. However, in the past two weeks, one of the lace hooks at the top pulled up/bent (rendering it useless), and another broke off.

I’d thought they were metal so the one that broke definitely surprised me. I wasn’t using them inappropriately or attempting to wear them too tight or for too long, and I’ve only worn them for a cumulative ~4ish months (and not even daily or anything)—so there’s no reason they should need to be replaced already.

Unfortunately I purchased them just over a year ago so I don’t think I have any recourse. Very disappointing! I really want to buy the same pair because they were great otherwise, but I’m thinking that would be a pretty poor investment, given that the quality didn’t hold up.

I’m torn, as I’m a huge fan of keens and have a few different models for use in different seasons.

Did a lot of research and glad I picked these boots. I live in Maine and work outside all winter so good footwear is a must. The boots are very warm and lightweight for their size. Much much lighter than leather winter boots like Irish setter or Chippewas.

They have an athletic feel with excellent traction and the soles are made of a softer rubber to grip better in the cold. They do run on the narrow side for keens. I’ve had a handful of keens and usually wear a 10.

5 – 11. Currently wearing a pair of Pittsburghs size 11. So decided to go 11. 5 with the Revel’s. I’d say they’re a bit narrower than the Pittsburg’s even a half a size bigger. But they’re still a pretty good fit as I lace/tie them on the loose side.

So if your trying to figure sizing I would definitely go half to a full size bigger than normal. The traction is far superior than the Pittsburgh’s, which are terrible on packed snow. I will also say that the color is a bit different than the pictures online.

The magnet/red boots are actually kind a dark olive color and the laces are a dark red, almost like a maroon. Overall great winter boot. Hopefully they last!.

Love these boots! Bought them a year ago for a lighter, less clunky alternative to my Sorel Caribous when walking the dog. They’ve turned out to be great for winter/early spring hiking and snowshoeing as well.

They’re comfortable over long distances and fit into universal bindings much easier. And the eyelet above the laces for attaching gaiters is a plus. My feet have never been cold in these, even when standing around in -6 temps for three hours watching sled dog races.

They’ve gone through deep slush, spring puddles and mud with no leaks, and traction in snow and snow/ice mix is really good. They’re not terrific on glare ice, but what boot is? They’ve handled everything a Minnesota winter and spring can throw–my Sorels have stayed in the closet this year.

The shaft did bruise the front of my calf a bit until they were broken in, but that only took a few miles. I have wide feet with high arches so finding boots that fit is a challenge. These fit perfectly.

Really happy with this purchase.

Was worried about width as Merrell sometimes runs narrow. Ordered a half-size up to accommodate wool socks, fit is great for average widths. Feet were starting to heat up within a minute or two, so pretty sure they’ll be great this winter.

Altitude sport performed well. I received my purchase on time and I was happy with customer service. The boot meets my expectations and keeps my foot warm and dry. I experienced hours of walking in the snow and I was satisfied.

Despite having 200 gr of insulation (which makes it warm) it is relatively light weight and appropriate for long hours of walking.

Let me start by saying that I spent about 3 months, maybe more if you include last winter, researching cold weather boots that I could 1. comfortably wear on longer walks, 2. wear in the snow/cold/rain/wet, 3.

look moderately cute in. And, on top of that – I prefer zero-drop footwear, thus canceling out my secret crush, the Sorel Whitney short lace bootie. I came across the Minx in myriad natural movement blogs, all of which champion zero-drop shoes, the effect of which you can get with these boots if you remove the insole.

However, that is exactly the reason why I almost returned these otherwise awesome boots: with the insert gone, the fit was terribly off, with too high a space from ground to top near the toes, and too much room at the heel.

I felt like I was clunking around in potato sacks, though it was nice to feel the ground, and also like an idiot (why did I remove the tags and wear them outside if I was on the fence? Ugh). And, with the inserts gone, the shoe gets hot – so much that my normally chilly feet were sweating, then cold again in swampy socks.

Then, I reasoned with myself, as rational, adult women do: put the inserts back in and try again. That’s when the game changed, and my new boots (in elk/cedar, which looked more elevated than the nori color I’d ordered from and returned to Amazon) went from looking and feeling clunky to, “Ahh, this is pretty comfy.

” Definitely feel more like sneakers than, say, a Bean boot or something more structured. A half point docked for the shape: yes, it’s great to have room for toe splay – but the heel still looks really blocky/wide, insert in or no – and because the laces come untied almost every time I wear them.

They so far feel very water resistant (haven’t jumped through puddles, but walking through slush/snow has been fine), though won’t have a verdict on how dry my feet stay till the end of the season. As far as that furnace-like quality I mentioned before: for some reason, wearing the inserts offsets some of the excess heat, so they’re toasty, not unbearable.

I’ve gone with standard gym peds and SmartWool knee socks on colder days, and both fit/feel/work fine. Last, but definitely not least: Backcountry’s excellent customer service team deserves a shout. When I was still on the fence, the person who answered the phone to process my return tried to help me find a replacement, and even offered a solution to help waterproof my older snowboots that had since shed their DWR layer.

Other style I like for comparison: Merrell Vapor Glove; Saucony Bullet; Allbirds Tree Runners.

got these last year, wear them a lot. these boots run 1 whole size too small. i wear a 7. 5 in almost all other shoes,bought an 8, too small,exchanged for an 8. 5. -perfect! i have never worn an 8. 5 in my life.

oh well, the boot is SO comfortable! right out of the box it does feel a little narrow but softens quickly. the sole is very grippy,soft and flexible. some may think the minimal bottom will not keep you warm,i disagree, the technology of the boot is superior at keeping feet warm.

i wear with regular or wool socks,thick or thin, doesn’t matter. a note to those who wear 2 pair of socks–that does not work,adds too much bulk and can make your feet freeze without any air space. i love the fur lining which goes down to ankle.

the rest has a nice warm lining. easy to step into and take off-no excessive pulling or yanking. i never touched the laces to tighten or loosen. will go for walks or wear to work or anywhere. great for shoveling snow.

boot is lightweight. sole shows no wear since last year,so i would say wears well. a superior product! feels like a slipper on. i would prob not wear them mountain climbing but for everyday wear they are amazing! also quite grippy on wet indoor floors, i have 2 sorels that slide like crazy on wet indoor floors and these do not.

i have normal feet, no high instep. i find some sorels run overly narrow and short as well. these are not overly narrow but feel a little narrow until they soften up after a few wears. i wear all day and no ankle rubbing, no heel rubbing, foot has enough room, no complaints or sore spots.

they are great! i want another pair in case these ever wear out. they really do look like snow boots but they are as warm as heck! and very comfortable, just get 2 sizes bigger than you wear. i am 59, 5’4″ 150 lbs.

my calf is normal sized and they fit fine, not too tight or too loose. wish they made a pair of these in knee high! lol.

Great and stylish boots. I purchased them for my girlfriend who normally wears a size 9US to 9. 5US with normal width. After reading the reviews I knew they would run small and narrow so I ordered her a 10US and 10.

5US. After trying them with normal thickness socks the size 10US was unwearable but 10. 5US fit better but were still on the narrow side of what she would prefer but still acceptable. Comfortable when wearing normal and thin socks and running errands or going out in mid Michigan.

They are not too thick or exceptionally warm, but they were purchased for that reason. NOT purchased for deep snow or being waterproof, for that she has other styles of boots. Cordura top area is not too thick and it is flexible.

I’m almost always in the forest, so I was looking for hiking winter boots that was warm, comfortable, waterproof, and with a real good grip. These boots meet all my expectations! I found them a bit stiff at first, but after wearing them a few days, they took the shape of my feet and now they are really comfortable! I weared them in a heavy rain for several hours, and I back came home with warm and completely dry feet.

So, I know that they will be perfect for the winter! The delivery was fast, I received exactly what I ordered in perfect condition, and the recommandation for the size is right! I will be able to put on woolen socks without having my feet tight on days at -30 degrees! I love them, and I recommend them! ;).

Well built boot. Definitely fits small. Two complaints: they are very stiff. No flex at all when walking though the boot itself is relatively comfortable if you don’t mind the stiffness. Hopefully that softens up with use.

Also the insoles seem to rub the inside of the boot so they make a noise when you walk like walking on tile with wet soles. Hoping that goes away with use too. Have not had a chance to try them in wet conditions so can’t speak to the waterproofing.

I have had my new boots for a few weeks. They fit perfectly, based in my true size (10. 5). The sole of the left shoe “squeaks” while walking. and that was from the first day, but it doesn’t seem to affect function.

I wear them while walking/hiking the dogs and they function perfectly. My feet are warm the entire time. Only complaint is that my feet do get cold if I am standing around and am not continuously moving (they are so warm my feet sweat, then get cold).

I have owned hiking boots and winter boots throughout my life and needed dual purpose boots. I chose these based on reviews and comparison with competitors’ boots. These had the best traction and cold weather ratings.

In addition, they did not “feminize” the women’s model by making it pink and removing traction. The competitors put poor quality or minimal traction on women-specific boots and added unappealing colors.

I have been and will always be a Baffin fan!.

These boots are amazing. I used them on a multi-day snowshoe/backpacking trip in northern Michigan with high temperatures in the single digits and evening lows dipping to -30 and my feet didn’t have any issues.

At the coldest, I did feel a little of the cold but never had any numbness or tingling. They breathed as good as can be expected with an extended snowshoeing trip and didn’t need to use my spare socks.

I also used them for a multi-day snowmobiling trip with temps in the teens and again had zero issues even after riding all day. I have them in a size 11 and normally wear 10. 5. They are a little roomy in the toe-box but fit me great with a pair of expedition weight wool socks.

From shoveling the driveway to extended trips in the frigid cold, these boots handle it all. Stiff enough to be supportive but they aren’t too clunky to walk/hike in. I hope Backcountry keeps carrying these because they are worth every penny.

I?m a consistent US Women?s 7. 5 C-width (slightly wide at the ball of the foot) with a regular-volume overall shape, and a high arch. I hike in waterproof Vasques in Spring/Summer/Fall in the Pacific Northwest Cascades and British Columbia / Whistler, but I found the Vasque snow hiking boots were too narrow for my feet.

These Asolos are near-perfect for winter hiking and snowshoeing: standard fit overall, but slightly wider at the ball of the foot, and the boots have a bit of extra room at the toes – not too much to throw the fit off, just enough to trap the warm air and give your toes and socks the needed wiggle room for warmth in cold weather.

Have worn them hiking and will try them snowshoeing soon. If I could add one feature to these, I?d add a bit more height to the ankle shaft (equivalent of one more hook) to keep the snow out. My workaround for this will be my Norrona Falketind hiking pants, which have a built-in boot hook (a hook built into in a pair of GoreTex pants eliminates the need for snow gaiters).

My one other suggested improvement for these boots would be slightly longer laces: I can tie them at full closure, but I can?t double-knot the laces, which I prefer to do to eliminate laces coming undone mid-hike/snowshoe.

Perhaps with wear the laces will stretch out a bit longer. but ideally Asolo would just put in laces 2? longer than these.

I typically wear about a size 39. I wasn’t sure about the sizing on these. I have normal to wide feet. Ended up with 39 1/3 (US 7. 5) and they fit perfectly! I am a fan of the spacious toe box. It keeps my feet comfortable all day long.

I’ve worn them on numerous 13ers and 14ers here in CO this spring (April-June) and they are perfect for trekking through snow and mud. They are comfortable with snowshoes, microspikes and crampons. I typically wear them with gators and my feet stay dry! Great material, very comfortable.

My boyfriend ended up getting a pair and is equally happy with them. Definitely recommend.

I bought these in January of 2020 for snowshoeing and winter hiking. I was initially pleased with the performance during active wear. A trip to Yellowstone provided a sub-zero shakedown, which confirmed reviews I’d read about the limitations of the boot’s insulating ability below 25 degrees.

No matter the sock combination there was no staying warm at those temps, even when active. After 1 season of wear and now starting the second I can report that the boots are no longer ‘waterproof. ‘ Hikes in snow, with or without gaiters, produce wet socks within a hour or so.

There is also a very noticeable cold penetrating up through the sole. I’ve been a Vasque customer since the late 1970s. They’ve been a go-to, no matter the style, as I have always found them to fit my narrow foot extremely well.

The fit and traction of these has been very good. I wasn’t expecting great warmth, below 25 degrees, but I was expecting the boots to remain dry and provide warmth above those temps. The boots are pretty much worthless for multi-day trip use due to the need to constantly be removing the foot-beds to dry.

I bought these boots because I liked that they were not bulky. I intended to use them for winter hiking. They are lightweight, and comfortable. When the snow is cold and not able to melt on the top of my boot, these boots are great.

My feet stay very warm and cozy. But, then I wore them during an early spring hike with puddles and slushy snow – NOT WATERPROOF. My feet were soaked. I have since tested them out and they are definitely not waterproof at all.

If so much as any slushy snow or water gets on the mesh it instantly goes right through to my sock and it gets wet. I am really bummed out because the traction is good, they are comfy, warm. but just not dry – which is interesting since the name of the boot is UltraDry?!?.

I bought these after seeing they were recommended by the Vasque Ambassadors, Charlie Gage and Bruce Kirby, and I love the boots. Let me qualify this by saying I’m no outdoorsman; I wear these boots for everyday use including 3-mile walks in the frequently icy/slushy Chicago Winter evenings.

They required no break-in period and were extremely comfortable right away (much more comfortable than my Salomon’s). They’re light weight with good traction in the snow and slush. I have not immersed them completely, but last Winter they kept my feet dry.

They keep my feet warm as long as I’m moving and the temperature is above 0-10 degrees. However, during the polar vortex, it’s time for the clunky Sorel’s and the walks aren’t fun.

These boots do not perform in any sense of the word for winter use. First, and most importantly, there is positively no warmth to this boot. I can feel the cold concrete through the bottom of the boot.

The rubber upper, meant to provide waterproof protection, literally freezes in the cold. So your entire foot is surrounded by cold. From an insulation standpoint, I truly don’t think these boots would be warm enough for anything below 40 degrees.

Now, as for comfort, there just isn’t any. There’s nothing even resembling a footbed inside. Just hard, flat, smashed lining that is no more comfortable that walking barefoot on solid concrete. The only thing good I can say about the Winter Carnival boots are that they are waterproof.

But that’s what rain boots are for. These provide no more warmth or insulation that a typical, unlined rubber rain boot.

I ordered these boots because I will be traveling up north in January, I am from Texas and not used to snow and cold, so I needed something sturdy and warm. These are way larger, like bulky, than I thought they would be, however, after you put them on they actually aren’t that bad.

I also find them incredibly comfortable and warm. I know I am in Texas 70 degree weather trying these on in my house, but I think they will be perfect with some thick socks when I go on my trip, and I will have them in case we experience another Winter storm! I am a standard size 9, but based on reviews I got a 9.

5 just in case with socks and everything, however, I wish I would have gotten a 9. The 9. 5 isn’t too big but I feel my normal size would have been better, and just the right amount of snug. Then again, I have very narrow feet so that could be why they feel a little too roomy.

With all that being said, I really like these boots, they are of amazing quality, they are comfy, and they are warm, all things I need for when I wear them! Definitely recommend.

A few years ago I decided it was time to retire my Sorel’s I had since I was 10-12 or 25ish years. Bought these. Use only to walk from house or work to the car and back. Occasionally for walks. Nothing as crazy as when I was young and played in the snow for hours on end.

After 1 season, maybe less, the sole started to wear through on the inside so it is just the empty squares (I bought some liners in so I couldn’t feel pattern of the soles and make it it so I could continue using).

Beginning of this winter season (start of 4th winter of wearing these) found a crack in the top of the foot area so if the liner gets wet when snow touches the boot. Bought flex seal so I can continue wearing them the rest of this winter.

The quality of Sorel seems to have gone down hill. Maybe sorels are now a fashion line instead of a real quality outdoor boot. Will be researching other brands. And I used to recommend Sorel’s to anyone looking for a good quality winter boot.

The good news is that once you can get them on, the Blizzard XT boot is comfortable. But that’s where the good news ends. Now the bad news. First, they are difficult to get on. I ordered a size 13 (I normally wear size 11.

5 shoe and 12 in winter boot). All I can say is that, even so, the opening is hard to get my foot into without screwing up the felt liner. Instead of quickly slipping on the boot, I need to decide whether to go through the effort or jump into my old non-Sorel winter boots.

Second, waterproof? I don’t think so. This morning we had our first snow of the season. A whopping 4-5 inches. I put the Sorels on to test them out in the snow when I walked the dogs. When I returned and struggled to take off the boots, I noticed that the liners were wet.

I reached inside the boots and they were wet. Fortunately, the inside of the liners were LESS wet than the sides touching the actual boot. What then do you mean by waterproof? Seriously folks, I was looking forward to owning a pair waterproof winter felt lined boots that I could use in the winter when it is wet or snowing outside.

These boots definitely are not them. Sorel, what happened to you? I would have given a positive review if the only issue was getting them on or off, but these boots are ridiculously useless.

The boots look sturdy and heat-keeping. However, I cannot comment on how good they are in freezing temperatures – it is spring already. The fit is pretty tight, so in order to wear the boots with proper thick Finnish wool socks, I ordered one size larger (44 instead of the usual 43 that I wear normally).

This is enough to feel comfortable, and feel almost all the space inside the boot. If you plan to wear the boots with normal socks, the usual size would be OK. I have to point out at a manufacturing fault of the product.

The elastic draw cord at the top of the left boot does not stay in the “tunnel” above the hem. Instead, the hem is actually crossing the elastic cord twice – rendering it non-functional. It would have been a mess to return the product to you, so I took it to a good shoe repairs shop in Bucharest.

Waiting now to get the boot fixed. Maybe this is the “Made in China” quality and quality control that clients of Sorel are complaining about.

I actually bought the same boots years ago and killed them, but the new model seems different as do the treads. the boot over all is bulkier and still heavy but we use to nickname the pair “the astronaut boots” so not much has actually changed since you don’t buy this for looks, you buy these for warmth and dryness, and they do the job well! my only real criticism about these is that the old model had a lip on the heal of the boot so that you can take them off easily, either with the toe of the opposite boot or the edge of a step, this made it hands-free and convenient for extra muddy days.

the lip has been removed. also the top elastic is particularly weak and will not keep snow from going into the boot and I can see my self having to replace it soon with cord. the old model had a strap with a plastic buckle that you were able to fasten tightly.

this hadn’t stopped my from buying it and so far, it seems a good fit and has kept it warm. I just hope this last as long as my last ones, I got a good 4-5 years with my last pair before I ripped a hole through the side.

These are the best snow boots I’ve ever owned. My last pair had Velcro straps which I loved for the ease of getting on and off but I couldn’t find any with Velcro this time around. I wear Skechers shoes all the time and they fit me really well so I thought I’d give these a try.

Well. talk about easy to get on and off!! My wide feet slide straight in and out of these with ease, no struggle at all, and the loops for the laces are a very clever design which means that you can pull them tight very easily too.

The boots are comfy, warm and completely waterproof which is important in New England snow. I am so happy with them. now I actually want to go out in the snow so I can wear them, and have ordered a pair for my daughter as well.

The trick will be telling which pair belongs to who!! Thanks Skechers, you knocked it out of the park again!.

First, the fake fur lining these is so soft that you’ll want to sit and pet your shoes. Love that. The shoes themselves feel roomy if you need a wider toe box. The sole is very stiff, like a hiking boot.

I would have liked it to be a bit more flexible like a walking shoe more than a hiking shoe. The insole feels like wearing one of their sneakers–nicely padded, but no arch support if that matters to you.

The only other thing I’ve noticed when wearing it in wet conditions is that it throws water up the back of my leg when I’m walking (noticed it when I was wearing shorter socks and there was a bit of a gap between the hem of my pants and the boot top–cold water flicked up on the back of my leg with every step).

But they are warm, comfy and waterproof, so just weigh the pros and cons to see if this is something you’d like.

I needed a pair of winter boots that could be worn in the snow or rain, that would be comfortable enough to wear all day!. These boots work perfectly!!! I LOVE them!!! They are easy on, easy off, and are comfortable enough to wear to school all day.

I am on my feet a lot at school, and these give me the support I need!.

I just purchased a new pair of tall boots and a pair of mid boots for my daughter. Her original pair are now 3 years old and “kinda leak a little, but not really” according to her. My daughter uses them every day, at least twice a day, if not all day long.

They have shown very little wear and tear even though she does all outside chores which includes keeping up with feeding, mucking out pens, clearing pasture, etc. (we have goats, chickens, horses, etc.

). She practically lives in them. Seriously. She has had other ‘top’ brands (none lasted more than a year), but these are the best. They keep her feet warm all day in Minnesota winters. She even wears them in the heat of the summer except on the hottest days because she says they are just so comfortable and her feet never hurt.

I have never had any other type of work boot last as long as these. Thank you for such a great product!.

Recently purchased for use on the farm. Love the comfort of the footbed. I think these should be warm enough for winter but won’t know until next season. My only complaint is that they don’t come in half sizes.

The boots purchased are tight but I believe the next size up would be too loose and a loose boot only causes discomfort. Overall the quality seems very good.

These boots compared to Muck brand I’ve been wearing last 5 years are more comfortable and lighter weight. Only drawbacks are they aren’t as tall, another two inches higher would be nice with the deep snow here in Rocky Mtns of CO.

Also I have wider calves so these boots fit snugly and I can’t tuck my jeans or other pants into them. If the company comes out with a wider calf/upper I will definitely buy them! The traction is also great with these boots.

Not true to size, I ordered a 9, but they fit more like a 8/8. 5. Then I ordered a 10, and they fit, but barely fit without pinching my toes. Order a size up for this style. Seem like they’d be comfy and warm otherwise.

The sides of the boots are pretty bendable which can be good for some, but annoying to others.

Fabulous!!!! Look fantastic, unbelievably lightweight. Sooooo comfy, great price in sale. Going to the Arctic Circle so not only are they perfectly functional for the environment but will look fabulous too!!!.

lovely comfy boots sizing is a bit snug but glad i had my normal size as a size up would have been too big. good grip on the ice and kept my feet nice and warm in the snow

Very lightweight. No shank, of course, so if you need that, keep looking. I started with last year’s version, and disliked the ugly laces all over the vamp like mukluks or something, but – here’s the key for me: the insole is removable and so I can fit my custom orthotics.

And still, my narrow heel doesn’t slip too much, yet my high arch isn’t constricted. Pull-on/slip-on is also good for me. I measure just over 8. 5, or what amounts to a 9, so due to the orthotics, I get 10 wide in these.

My feet are extremely hyper mobile, and with my voluminous foot, high arch, forefoot issues and heel fit, finding shoes that fit orthotics and I can walk around in much is a feat. Doesn’t rub blisters/slip on my heel.

I live in a walking town where you don’t get around by car. No fudging with shoes here. The upper is slightly bulky-looking, but whatta ya gonna do, guess you can’t have it all. These aren’t any sort of heavy duty or terribly warm, and you’d best not step into a puddle with them.

Slight drizzle is ok. (Also I spray them). But for lightweight, lite use, they work for me. And that’s rare.

I got these “boots” because they seemed good for winter, and they are. We’ve had a lot of snow here and they performed great in both the snowy areas and in the ultra sandy parking lots. I’ve worn them in the rain and snow with no damage to the upper so they really are water resistant.

They are actually more of a tall fluffy sneaker, they have sneaker soles but they are not slippy they have decent traction. The only thing boot about them is the height. Oh also theres no fluff in the toes but actually that’s good because if they did they’d probably be too tight.

I had to take off one star for their narrow-ness. Very very narrow all throughout, especially in the back of the foot, in the heel and ankle area. I had to pull the bungee laces as loose as they will go to try and widen the shoe as much as possible but that is no help in the heel area.

I don’t have wide feet by any means and have never had an issue with a regular shoe being too narrow until these. I’m keeping them but I sadly can’t wear them every day or to something with a lot of standing or walking because they start to hurt in the sides of the heel.

Also beware of the sizing! I wear a 9&1/2 and thats what I ordered. I have to wear a thin sock, like summer socks, or they don’t fit at all. If you want to wear fleece or thick winter socks definitely size up.

I do think they’re cute and have got compliments on them and I didn’t want to spend the money to return them. And I have to say that even with summer thin socks they do keep my feet fairly warm, but I also didn’t spend extended time outdoors in them either, just usual running around or wearing them to work.

This is the most comfortable, well-fitting boot I have ever owned! I hardly ever leave a review for anything, but I need you to know how awesome these are. During my pregnancy with my daughter my feet changed (yipee), so I had to chuck or donate literally every shoe I owned.

I got the 10W in this boot and it fits absolutely perfectly and is very comfortable. A unique feature that I love is the lift in the toe. Walking in snow boots can be awkward and clunky but with the lift it helps gently roll your step forward.

Seriously amazing. It feels different at first (not uncomfortable), but after a few days you no longer notice it. I recommend these boots with zero hesitation ❤.

These boots are EXACTLY what I was looking and hoping for. I have 3 different styles of OrthoFeet shoes – tennis shoes, sandals & slippers. I was hoping these boots would have the same fantastic comfort, and they absolutely do.

I have plantar fasciitis and OrthoFeet shoes are just what I need. These Alps boots are lightweight, comfortable and nice looking, as well as functional on the snow. They have a zipper, which means you can adjust the fit with the shoelaces, but then use the zipper to take them on & off.

When I ordered them, I did not know about the zipper because their website says NOTHING about it. I remember thinking that the only thing that would make them better would be if they had a zipper. You can imagine my surprise & delight when I got them and saw a zipper! I think OrthoFeet missed a great marketing opportunity there, because the zipper is a VERY positive feature.

I called their customer support and suggested they update their website to add a picture of the zipper and to mention it. I highly recommend these boots – and all their shoes.

I’m sold! A winter boot that keep my feet warm, that keeps me from pronating and they don’t aggravate or hurt my bunions. They accommodate my orthotics. I just ordered a pair of sneakers and hope I have same results.

Customer service is excellent. Do as they say, measure your foot as per their instructions and that will help with sizing. They will also recommend a shoe depending on your condition and needs. Also, OrthoFeet if you are reading this: Some of us Baby Boomers are still very active running, hiking and working out at the gym.

How about a specialized athletic shoe for these activities? A Hiking boot? There’s also not much out there in terms of comfortable- dare I say sexy dress shoes for weddings and such. Any chance of designing something like this for you customers?.

I work at a school and teach outdoors throughout the day. I do a lot of standing and a lot of walking around campus in all types of weather. I’m in the south, so we are not sub-zero, but it’s reasonably cold, especially in the early mornings.

These boots keep my feet warm and dry and comfortable. They look cute too. I am very happy with them. I ordered my usual size and they fit well with enough room for thicker socks when needed. I like the side zipper as they come off and on easily.
