The only real difference between the Mac version of this mouse and the standard version (besides the slightly different color) is that the Mac version does not include a dongle. You are paying basically the same amount for bluetooth only connectivity.

The downside to this is that Bluetooth is much slower and less reliable than the dongle connection. I have personally noticed a bit of a lag/delay in using the mouse over bluetooth versus using it with the dongle.

That being said, you can still use the non Mac version with bluetooth only as well, so you might as well get the dongle and have it even if you don’t plan to use it. As far as the mouse itself goes. it’s great! The software gets the job done (although it’s not quite as good as some of their gaming peripheral software).

The ergonomics of the mouse really fit my hand nicely. Compared to the MX Master 2S this mouse feels better to hold and has nicer button placement (such as the back and forward buttons on the side). The scroll wheel is improved over previous generation models but still feels very smooth and refined.

I primarily use mine with Mac computers and it’s capable of all the tricks you can do with a Magic Mouse thanks to the gesture button. The Magic Mouse is slightly better with the gestures but at the cost of being annoying to charge, far less ergonomic (not really ergonomic at all), missing a middle mouse button (useful for a lot of software.

can be added with third party apps but difficult to find since you just have to guess where the spot is on the flat top of the mouse), and no dedicated buttons for right click/forward/back. Thanks to a second scroll wheel you can still manipulate scrolling in any direction with this mouse.

When it comes to productivity the MX Master is the best you can get in my experience. I’m only docking this mouse because of the lack of dongle. I exchanged mine for the regular dongle included model.

Did you ever want to use your mouse before logging in to your mac? Forget that with this mouse. Fortunately, the login screen has good keyboard support, so you can probably scrape by without that. The configurable extra button on top of the device that you can bind to keyboard hotkeys is nifty when it works.

It’s not reliable, though: occasionally when coming back to the computer after a few hours of not using it, mouse movement and normal clicks works just fine, but the configured button does not trigger its keyboard shortcut when pressed.

If you wildly click around a bit with the left mouse button and then try, it often kicks back into working again, though. Annoying. In the first six or so months of usage (right in front of the Monterey iMac pro it bluetooth connects to), it at one point lost its bluetooth connection (white LED on the back blinks).

The battery was fine (green light), and connecting it by USB C did nothing; no movement, no clicking. I had to connect another mouse to look up trouble-shooting steps on the web, where it turns out to be resolvable by turning the _computer’s_ bluetooth connection off and back on again, at which point the mouse went from “Not connected” to “Connected” again.

Might be good to learn how to do this, too, using only keyboard shortcuts, in case you ever don’t have a spare mouse on hand. Overall, it feels like a step down from the quality Logitech mice used to stand for a decade or so ago.

This mouse fits really great in the hands. It has a nice weight and the materials feel very high quality. Really nice stuff. A week or so after I got mine, the primary scroll wheel started making a loud vibrating sound whenever I scrolled fast.

It got kind of annoying so I just changed the setting in the software to allow the scroll wheel to “unlock” very easily, which stops the noise. Just a nit pick I guess The horizontal scroll wheel is a life changer, really.

In MacOS though, it does feel a little odd. It doesn’t feel “native” if that makes sense. If I scroll faster with the scroll wheel it doesn’t always equal faster scrolling in the OS. It’s just kind of slow and juttery.

But it DOES horizontal scroll which is more than any other mouse can do, really. TBH I’m pinning the problem on MacOS here, not on the mouse. Also, the battery indication is really weird on MacOS. It will say the mouse is at 100% battery for like.

weeks. And then one day it will just randomly turn red and say 20%. I don’t think I’ve caught it showing a percentage in between yet. Not a huge bother since the battery lasts a really long time, but it’s just.

weird Overall, the magic mouse was giving me carpal tunnel, started using this thing, wrist feels better, I’d say it’s worth it.

Mouse is good, software is not. Like other Win10 software (so not unique to Logitech), the installation of the Logitech software does not play nicely with multiple users on one machine. Logitech, however, has the means to address this.

The software installer should be installed via an Admin account (or with Admin permissions), and then users should be asked for which users on the machine the software should be accessible. Each Windows user should have their own profile and settings for the mouse.

(Side note: software packages and settings differences per user on Win7 and before were so much easier to handle — and both Microsoft and Logitech share responsibility for the recent poor implementation.

) For this program, as an example, settings are set per machine, per mouse, not per user. Also, there’s clearly a bug: I checked for updates while logged into my Admin account, and Logitech’s software said “All Good”.

Switched to another user account, and Logitech software reported that I needed to upgrade! The upgrade then crashed. ) Bottom line: Logitech developers need to get on the phone with Microsoft, and they together need to figure out how to fix the software installation and use across user accounts.

(And again, to be fair, other developers need to do the same thing with Microsoft — Microsoft *really* messed up cross-user software implementation after Win7. ).

I only recently bought this mouse to use with my iPad and it works perfectly! I am super impressed with the speedy Bluetooth connection and having no need to use a dongle. I was getting sick of replacing batteries when they were all used up in my mouse, so this was the perfect replacement as it is rechargeable! The scroll wheel is phenomenal, definitely the most well designed and smooth part of the mouse.

It’s perfect for scrolling and general use. The extra buttons to undo or redo are super transferable to various programs and even just to go to the previous screen in a browser. However the mouse clickers themselves are not as smooth as my gaming mouse, as well as the ease of movement on the mousepad.

I often have to pick up the mouse in order to move my cursor to the right spot while gaming and click just a little harder than I do with my other mouse. Overall those two aspects are less comfortable.

Pros: Great scrolling wheel with other features such as changing the scrolling type and undo/redo buttons for PC’s. Works well with many different products and is recharable. Easy Bluetooth connection.

Portable. Cons: Experiences with moving the mouse and using the mouse clickers is not very smooth compared to my other logitech mouse (the G305). Better suited to using with Macs or general use with browsers or documents.

I bought the new MX master mouse the MX master 3 about a week ago, and it was an upgrade from the old MX master 2. Ive always thought the MX range is one of the best that you can get. Overall the 3 looks similar to the 2, however, there are changes that I appreciate.

First is the inclusion of USB C to charge the mouse. Second is the back and forward button placement for the thumb, version had these odd awkward layout. Third is the soft material, and also the weight of the mouse.

I did quick comparison of the feel of the mouse and although the old version was quite worn version 3 felt so much better to use. Finally, the scroll wheel has also had an upgrade and it’s awesome – both from the feel and also how it transitions from tactile to fluid scroll.

The reason why I ended purchasing and upgrading to version 3 was because version 2 started jittering, I’m not sure if the mouse was faulty etc. But it gave me a reason to upgrade. I run multiple computers, Mac, windows, and Linux – and I use a single keyboard, monitor and speakers, and ofcourse a mouse.

The mouse allow you to change device (upto 3) using Bluetooth. However, I use the dongle instead and KVM switch. This way I don’t have to adjust the mouse, the keyboard individually. I hope one day Logitech brings out a KVM that’s good quality like the mouse.

The mouse also has a companion app, I haven’t spent too much time in it. I believe you can customise button behavior based on the app you’re using but I’m not using those features. I have an Elgato stream deck that i use for that type of feature, but I’d imagine it would be cool to use.

When you get the mouse out of the box it’s as simple as plugging the dongle into a USB port, and in windows it automatically popped up asking whether to download the companion software. The mouse, compared to other mouse, has a good ergonomic feel.

I’m, at the moment, using my computer for 15hrs between work and personal, and having a good ergonomic setup is essential – which this mouse has. I haven’t felt any strain on my hands from using it – I do however use a large / oversized mouse pad to ensure I don’t have friction using the mouse, to preserve the mouse, and make sure I’m not limited by space on the desk.

This is a test of the form and function of the form and function of the Logitech Ergo K860 keyboard and MX Master 3S mouse. It’s actually really intuitive once you retrain hand proglamation and conditioning.

However if you ever took a keyboarding class the keystrokes are per defined location on the muscle memory. The entire time it took for me to get comfortable just screen typing was about 4mins and 23 seconds once I had it plug and play stick installed.

There is some stagnation from bad habits of poor keyboard controls in the past but I am progressively improving as I use this keyboard in the dark without overhead or backlit keys. I do find however that the lock key and is uncomfortably common to press… having just pressed it 5 times in the session as I reached for my mouse.

I however will say my pros outweigh the cons and its more a personal test space issue. I do enjoy this keyboard… if only it was made in a mechanical format… its to quite in personal opinion but I find the travel and return to be quite effective.

The overall desires of nit picking is more my historical use to a flat board and gaming boards but I thing even this board could be very well adapted to a gaming community format. The mouse is comfortable to grip and very customizable but again a form factor I will need to adjust to.

The paring of the two devices is actually very nice and the two should be combined in a Business Pack.

I bought this pink one several months back, and loved it so much that I bought another one in blue to keep in my backpack for when I go to coworking spaces. After a few months though, the pink one started to have major problems—it was like the click was getting held down when it wasn’t, and would result in whole pages highlighting constantly like I was selecting text, and I was also eventually unable to make clicks register at all because it was stuck in a constant click state.

It was impossible to use or navigate literally anything. Nothing I tried in terms of clearing out dust or any interference inside the mouse made any difference. I thought/hoped maybe the pink one had just been a lemon, but now another few months later, my blue one is also starting to have issues.

Weirdly, this time it’s the opposite issue—I’m having to click multiple times and/or with considerable force for a click to register at all. Both are less than six months old. I know this is an inexpensive mouse, so I wasn’t expecting to hold up for 10 years, but this is pretty ridiculous.

I LOVE that this mouse has the ability to switch between bluetooth and wired with a little button, and otherwise love so much about the mouse look and feel. But there seems to be a really fundamental flaw in the baseline functioning that prevents them from having even a passing level of longevity.

If you are one of those people who needs your mouse to make a fashion statement, Logitech has you covered. The new Fresh Clicks design collection includes four lowcost popart designs that are smaller than a standard mouse but provide all the same basic functionality.

That means two buttons and scroll wheel as well as a wireless USB connection. The transmitter is included, stored away inside the mouse next to the battery when traveling. The sides and scroll wheel both are covered with a soft rubberized coating for good grip.

This geometric teal is arguably the most conservative of the bunch. Built around a twotone white and teal color scheme, it features a geometric cross hatch on top. Other designs include a wild multicolor swirl Cosmic Play, pop art flowers Spring Meadow or a purple to hot pink color fade Blue Blush.

They all run on a single AA battery included which is supposed to last a year. Hard to complain about that. One nice touch is the packaging, which appears to be the usual impossible to open heavy plastic molded clamshell.

But look closely in the back and youll discover pre perforated panel that pops open with just a light pull. EasyIf you have had Logitech mice in the past, you know what to expect from this one. It has the same smooth accurate tracking, comfortable scroll and decent hand fit, assuming you have medium to small hands.

This is a pretty small mouse, designed to be carried around in your pocket. Be aware this is a low cost mouse, so it has a barebones build quality that reflects that. Which is to say it is made of very light, molded plastic.

There is no heft to it all, which some prefer for better balance and more accurate tracking. It gets the job done but dont expect to be wowed by the construction or any extra functionality. It just does the essentials.

The only issue I had was getting my new mouse to work with my old Logitech unified receiver, which I was using with another Logitech mouse and keyboard. It turns out you need to run the Logitech unifying software and follow the on screen instructions to pair the receiver with the new mouse.

Pretty simple. You have to go the Logitech Web site to get it if you do not already have it. Not included with the package. Check the downloads section. Otherwise, its a decent low end mouse for the money, especially if you yearn to for something small with a little more fashion sense.

Full disclosure, I am a longtime fan of Logi formerly Logitech given their quality, price, ingenuity and function. This mouse does not disappoint. Im a dude with relatively large hands and while this mouse is small, it certainly is more than functional.

Yeah, I know, a guy with a flowery pink mouse, but Im 100 ok with that. I offered it to my wife and daughter but they both already had way more ladylike mouses so I plopped this one in my home office so I wouldnt need to continually move my other mouse to and fro.

This pretty lady offers precision control, quick response time and comfort to the hand. I definitely appreciate the wheel since I use that all the time. It has great tactile feedback. Please note, this is the type of mouse that has the USB attachment that needs to be plugged in and is NOT a peripheral BT mouse that you can program as a client to your PCs built in BT.

IS that a deal breaker Well, no, but it would be nice if it was a true BT mouse, but thats easy to get over. It comes with one AA battery that Logi claims will last 12 months. Obviously there is no way to test that in a short time but given previous experience wit the brand, I have no doubt that claim is accurate.

It is also made with recycled plastic so if thats important to you, this mouse is your date to the dance. The one oddity that I will note and Im not sure if this is specific to my unit or broader to all but the compartment to remove the USB dongle and battery is tight.

Like REALLY tight. Tight to the point that I need a knife to remove it. No biggie, I always have a knife on andor near me, so no biggie but just a point to ponder. End of the day, this is a great choice if you are in the market and I would recommend to a friend with the caveats mentioned.

I use this at work as a Receptionist/Admin and I do a lot of typing. This mouse is absolutely fantastic and the battery life is great- I only need to charge it about once every 3 weeks, and the grip is so comfortable and the mouse glides effortlessly over my mouse pad.

We were looking for comfortable mouse products for the whole office, and since I bought mine, at least 6 others have too. I first thought it may be too big for my hand, but its so comfortable now- I wouldn’t want to use any other model! Purchased this mouse back in August 2021. Does not have much features like other high end mouses but this budget mouse gets the job done. The feel to this mouse and the quality build of this mouse is great and overall it is great for everyday use and easy to travel with on the go.

I personally use this for my iMac since I run Windows 11 on it currently and I have to say all I had to do was plug the receiver into the computer and battery into the mouse. I have to say the setup process was very easy and fast with no software required.

I have to say overall that this mouse is small but it gets the job done and fits well for what I do on a everyday basis.

Pros: I love the sleek design on the mouse. It looks beautiful and feels very nice to touch. I also like the ‘click’ that it gives when pressed. It is very responsive and easy to use even completing photo editing as well as general laptop useahe.

There is a small on off switch at the bottom of the mouse which is handy to conserve battery which lasts forever. I have not charged it since the initial charge and it has quite a lot of use, not sure on battery life as it hasn’t ran out but it has been a few months now! The mouse is extremely light weight which is great for portability mine comes out to around 99 grams.

Making it ideal for on the go. The mouse can also be customised and completely different commands by using the mouse app on the screen which i did to change the left / right click option. Cons: There are two minor faults with the mouse.

Firstly it comes with the lead which is USB to Apple adapter but this does not fit into the laptop which is usb-c, only minor but if you don’t have a usb plug you will need to take this into consideration the charging port is also on the underneath.

The second is that it feels very different to another mouse it it quite low and can be a little more difficult to get used to so for a whole day would be little strained.

I enjoy the accessibility of gestures on the mouse, but Im not sure if that feature is available on other mouses. The pros of the mouse tend to end there, however. I found it to be too slim. Its possible my hands are simply too large for its intended audience, but assuming I dont have gargantuan hands it just doesnt seem to line up well with my fingers and palm.

I would prefer if the arch of the overall shape was a bit broader. Its simple to adjust the sensitivity of the mouse (and the trackpad) and I like that its built in to the MacBook and easy to find and access.

Pairs well and quickly. Battery life is pretty solid, though I dont have much of a comparison to judge it against. It suits me fine. Which leads to the charging port placement. The fact that its on the bottom annoys me to no end.

Its not that I intend to use it while charging, its just that I have to sit here and stare at this flipped turtle on its back while its charging. When I think of Apple I think of ease of use and elegance.

This isnt very elegant. I would prefer to raise the arch and place it on the back, or side. And once you do that you can allow it to charge while using it if you feel so inclined. The MSRP is a bit absurd given the simplistic nature of the mouse.

I certainly wouldntpay full price for it. Id have to sit and consider paying half price. Pros: Gestures are great. Cons: Literally everything that constitutes a mouse.

This is a cool mouse. So stylish and good looking. I remember being very happy when I bought the first one, to replace the Mighty Mouse that came with an iMac. The track ball, (remember those?) got dirty as hell and it made ‘the mighty’ almost impossible to use.

The new one was track ball free. You just touched the surface and it recognized one or two finger. That first generation of Magic Mouse used batteries that had to be replaced every few weeks, depending of how much use you gave the mouse.

I also came with rechargeable batteries and a charger. This mouse was a step forward for Apple, but to me it now seems pointless after having a Magic Trackpad. I’m sure there’s still fans. They even now made it in space gray.

But the worst thing about the Magic Mouse, and I really dislike it, is the way you’re suppose to recharge the now non removable battery. You need to literally stop using it while charging. That’s very inconvenient.

Dear Apple, what were you thinking?.

Bought this around a week ago. This trackball works well: ball moves smoothly, buttons are responsive and solid, and the scroll wheel is not too ratchety to impede smooth scrolling (no free-spin mode though).

The whole unit seems to be solidly built. It has a solid metal base held in place my strong magnets. When changing mouse/orientation angles, I recommend placing the unit on your work surface and press on the left or right edge while your hand is holding it normally.

Having used a traditional mouse for years, it took a little time to get used to this unit; not used to finely manipulating things, my (anyone’s) thumb is naturally unstable, but practice should help with that.

I find playing card solitaire and Mahjongg Titans helps as an exercise. Yes; your index, middle and ring fingers would have more natural control, but I’ve used that style of trackball years ago, and I can remember trying keep my fingers off the ball for long periods of time to be tiring (especially if I’m doing a stressful task).

As for functionality, there is technically only five buttons; left, right, page-forward, page-backward, and the wheel serving as the middle button. However, the software program, “Logitech Options,” (downloaded separately) allows you to program all five plus one more for other things, so you actually have six customizeable buttons.

The sixth button is defaulted to “precision mode” for the track ball, but it’s not adjustable and is fixed on really fine-tune movements. However(2), in the settings, it can be switched to “trackball sensitivity” (yes; it is a separate custom option) that allows you to adjust two different sensitivity modes.

Lastly as a bonus plus, it is not immediately obvious, but there is a small diagram what comes with the included documents that actually shows how the unit can be dismantled with just six screws. It is part of the warning that Logitech verified batteries should be used for replacement.

This is great since despite being a lithium rechargeable battery pack, it looks to be a standard form I’ve seen sold–and even rechargeable lithiums don’t last forever. But this is more advantageous because this also means I (or anyone) can take apart the mouse for more thorough cleaning if needed.

In the past with every mouse I’ve ever owned, there always come a time when I wished I could take apart the mouse so I can clean the nooks and crannies I can’t reach like the sides of the scroll wheel.

I previously had the Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard and mouse, it was my first ergonomic mouse. It didn’t last but 2 years. This logitech mouse is amazing,it feels nice, not as ergonomic as the Sculpt mouse however the additional side buttons make up for it, allowing me to go forward and back and a hidden button below those that allow you show all apps opened on each of your screens (this is customizable).

Another huge advantage that you never think you will use is the hyper scroll feature that can be turned on and off by the press of a button behind the wheel (engages and disengages the standard “clicking” resistance to the wheel), scrolling through a 100 page manual is effortless and saves a few seconds which adds up throughout the day.

A must for me was the tilt wheel allowing horizontal scrolling, once you are used to this its hard to go back, there are other methods of holding a button down and moving mouse left and right or the thump rollers, my personal preference is the tilt wheel.

But one of the big reasons for going with this particular keyboard besides the amazing ergonomic feel is the ability to link to 3 computers/mobile devices. I have mine connected to my windows computer and mac and now using the LogiFlow feature in LogiOptions app i can now transition between both windows and mac without a lot of fuss, both mouse and Keyboard Logitech Ergo K860 transition and auto switch allowing me to work on both computers throughout the day without all the twisting and turning in office chair.

Comfortable for long periods of use with easy adjustment using removable magnetic base plate at 0 to 20 degrees angle. DO NOT loose the base plate or the mouse becomes almost unstable and difficult to use on a surface.

Easy to switch between laptop and DVR, very useful that unifying dongle works in DVR. The enhanced movement button for slow sensitive controlled cursor is good feature. Had a Logitech wired trackball which gave up after 15 years use and now this Ergo MX appears to be a contender for longevity, time will tell.

Only gripe is the left and right buttons either side of the wheel are flush and can loose position on the right button occasionally. The old wired trackball had slight grooves so the fingers rested comfortable in each button but that’s not a deal breaker.

Overall excellent tool. 3-7-2019 3 years later and still working. 1st fault has occurred, the plastic non-slip cover on the bottom of the removable/adjustable base plate has peeled off. A can of spray glue has been bought to fix it back on and it is now drying.

It will be interesting to see if this repair works and the plastic cover stays on.

good mouse if you own apple products. nice design but it is not ergonomic. don’t buy this mouse if you are a gamer o some activity that requires you to use it several hours a day. it is fine for office and productive use.

touch control is the main reason why you would want to get this mouse, you really don’t need to use the trackpad, you can control zooming, scrolling and clicking from the mouse. it is very precise and battery lasts forever.

I don’t really care for this mouse honestly. The edges are sharp against my hands and the click is quite loud and annoying. The one option that I do enjoy is the scrolling with the fingertip. In reality I really wouldn’t buy this thing again.

Im quite disappointed at apple with the over all design of this mouse as it is not comfortable at all but it does function well. If you forget to shut it off it does not sync back up to bluetooth right away and you have to turn it off and back on again.

I’ve used the MX Master 3 mouse for a little over two years. *** PROS: The ergonomics work well for my hands. The top scroll wheel is super fast and easy to control. It’s nice to have a the horizontal scroll wheel, as well, for certain uses.

The mouse glides smoothly on various surfaces and is very accurate for screen navigation *** CONS: The rubberized coating has become very STICKY & TACKY (unpleasant). The issue happens with mice and other products that use such a rubberized coating.

Once the coating starts to break down and becomes overall sticky, it’s hard to remediate it. Cleaning it may help, but for many users, it’s a very temporary respite and the problem soon returns (my situation).

The rubberized coating may break down soon as in within a few months or a year or more later (which would put it outside of the 1-yr warranty period rather conveniently for Logitech). Logitech support has been a real hassle to deal with.

The problem has been specifically reported online by others about the MX Master 3, e. g. , search Reddit for “Logitech MX Master 3 Sticky” – you’ll see what I mean. Logitech support has also piped up on that forum with the usual let’s open a ticket thing.

Manufacturers should have long ago stopped using this kind of cheap rubberized coating. This sticky mess is a deal breaker for me and the MX Master 3. Other Cons: The back and forward buttons on the thumb side could usefully be a bit bigger, and are too far back making it harder to use them.

The newer Options+ software creates, in my testing of it, a weird disruptive haptic vibration feedback TO THE MOUSE on one of my computers under certain conditions (fully updated Win10), e. g. , keyboard shortcuts and clicking on certain screen icons causes the mouse to distractingly vibrate! This haptic strangeness happens when the scroll wheel is switched into line-by-line mode.

My recommendation? Primarily because of the sticky rubber coating glitch, you may want to consider other products, especially those without rubberized coatings, and from a company that will stand behind their products.

My opinion is that Logitech should recall the mouse for users that encounter the Sticky Problem. PS – Logitech will try to offer a small discount instead for the user to buy something else from the Logi website.

This allows them to break even or better. The overarching problem, though, is that the mouse becomes less usable due to an avoidable manufacturer defect, and not much, if at all, from normal wear and tear.

I’ve been using the Logitech MX Master 3 mouse for about 5 months now. I really like it. It’s a nice ergonomic shape and I think it really helped me with my wrist pain I was experiencing from WFH. I was spending 12+ hours a day at the computer for work.

I use it purely for working; it does have adjustable DPI settings (software side; no toggle on the mouse itself) but nothing sensitive enough to do any flick wrist type movements for some games, but you can use it for casual games no problem.

It’s one of the heaviest mice I’ve used so def not suited to game competitively with. It comes with a USB for wireless connectivity, but the mouse also has a button on the underside to toggle for up to 3 device connections; the other 2 paths are bluetooth and they’re relatively easy to set up.

I keep the USB dongle attached to my work laptop so I always use that option but if I’m at home and want to use it on my personal computer or personal laptop I can just connect once then switch connections whenever I need and it takes like 2 seconds.

I WFH 2x a week and actually bring the whole mouse with me back and forth between my house and the office. It’s a large mouse though and does not fit well in a laptop bag, I have better luck with a backpack, but even though it’s a huge mouse and doesn’t store well.

The mouse charges USB-C and can use any cable. The battery life is stupid long (like hundreds of hours on 1 charge) My biggest issues with it honestly are the price – it’s over $100. I got mine on sale I think, but it’s still a lot to justify on a mouse.

Wouldn’t call it worth the price because I don’t think any mouse is worth that price, but if you need a mouse for everything productivity related and maybe bounce between devices at office and home office like I do, then it may be worth it.

Another issue I have with it is that it doesn’t come with a USB storage on the mouse itself so it can be pretty easy to just lose the USB dongle. That being said, the mouse can connect to 2 other devices via bluetooth so that’s always a connection option if you forget the USB dongle.

Fine so far. Haven’t used it much as I ordered it as a back-up to my current MX Anywhere 2 mouse, so it’s currently plugged into an older device. These are great mice that generally last for a long time.

I’ve got a way-older MXA2 that is still in use on another computer (and I got that one after finally wearing down my original MXA). The sides will wear down a bit (get dull, lose texture) and the buttons will eventually get a little shiny.

But that will happen with any mouse if you rest your hand on it for a significant amount of time. For me, the size of this mouse is just perfect. Longer or wider ones hurt to use. Supposedly the 2S has slightly different dimensions but, so far, I don’t feel much difference compared to the 2.

These mice are work-horses; they’ll last for years. You can use the app thing to reassign buttons as you like. And I’ve got a Logitech keyboard so I can use the same tiny dongle to pair it and save a USB space.

Classic and nice. I just like these little guys!.

I was kind of annoyed when my husband purchased such an expensive mouse. I had been using an old corded mouse and it was time to upgrade. When I tried this mouse, it was night and day. This mouse is well built and feels really solid in my hand.

The mouse lasts all 8 ours of my day and paired easily with my PC. There was one additional benefit that I was pleasantly surprised by was the sound and smooth quality. When I move the mouse, there is almost no sound as I move it around on my desk and the movement feels smooth in my hand.

Button sounds are a soft click. The scroll wheel has an option to make the scrolling spin quickly so all I have to do is give the wheel a quick push and move my finger out of the way and the wheel independently and quickly moves, making scrolling very quick and easy.

The best and most surprising feature is the very long battery life. Using it 9 hours per day, M-F it lasted about a month between charging, then charges quickly.

I use this mouse with my laptop computer and my iPad using a Bluetooth connection to each device. I could also use the mouse with a 3rd device (such as another computer) using either Bluetooth or the included Unifying USB nano receiver.

However, it would be nice if there were a slot or small compartment in the mouse where I could store the USB nano receiver when not in use or when needing to pack/transport my computer gear elsewhere, so that the USB nano receiver doesn’t get lost.

Also, the scroll wheel on the mouse may be occasionally a little too sensitive, such that the computer screen view will scroll down a small amount while only moving the mouse without my finger even touching the scroll wheel.

This can be sometimes annoying when I’m trying to move the screen cursor with the mouse to click on something but the screen also happens to scroll a little bit just before I click the mouse button and I end up clicking on the wrong item.

Otherwise, this is a very nice and versatile wireless mouse that has both Bluetooth and Unifying nano receiver connection capabilities.

So far, a really great purchase that I’m happy with! It’s a sleek design that matches perfectly with the aesthetic of my MacBook Air. The scroll wheel is responsive, the mouse glides over my Satechi Eco-Leather mousepad very easily, and I haven’t had any issues at all! For the price, a very good purchase.

I would perhaps want a little bit more tactile feel from the scroll wheel if this product is ever redesigned, but otherwise I have no complaints. I have had no difficulty pairing this with my MacBook Air, but have not tried to pair it with any multiple devices.

I haven’t been far out of range of my computer when trying to use it, so unsure of the quality of bluetooth range – then again, who sits more than 30 feet from the computer they are working from? Would purchase again!.

I’ve been a fan of Satechi products for a while and this mouse is no exception. It feels like $60-$70 dollar mouse with it’s aluminum build. It has a nice little heft to it to make it not feel cheap.

The clicks are solid and have a nice deep tone. The Mouse wheel feels great. It’s not as good as Logitech mag tech, but feels sturdy and precise. However I have one minor complaint about it. To keep the slim profile the scroll wheel is very close to feeling flush with the click buttons, I wish it was slightly more raised to give it a more distinct feel, but this is a completely minor gripe.

Nice physical design but Mac users beware-it does not work with older macs, including 2018 in some cases. Worked with my 2013 MacBook Pro until an update, which could mean Apple has rendered it inoperable, and it may again work after another update.

Until then am back to a wired mouse. Again is a nice mouse, just not able to connect with the computer today. I also tried it wired, and I don’t know if that should work because there is not much info on it.

No manual online, just a one page sheet on pairing. Nothing about how to know when it needs charging, how long that takes, or how to know when it is done on their website. Not giving out instructions is another reason for the low rating, but it isn’t as big an issue.

Does not work with iPads according to their site.

Finally – All the features of MX series with softer clicks and newer wireless tech, and improved tracking on shiny/glass surfaces! I’m already a BIG fan of the MX series, owning a full-size MX Mechanical keyboard and a separate Craft keyboard for my second workstation at my desk (for my creative work!).

I also have both an MX Master 3 and an MX Vertical mouse, and the MX Anywhere portable mouse for travel (spoiler alert, I’m a Logitech peripheral fan!). Alas, I loved the MX series, but the MX Master 3 (and the MX Master and MX Master 2 I owned before it) all suffered from very loud click sounds from the primary left and right mouse buttons.

Some people like the click, but those people aren’t married to my wife! 🙂 The MX Master 3S is the perfect companion to my new MX Mechanical keyboard – Its smoothness doesn’t disappoint. ALL of the MX Master features are here, including customizability, scrolling control (choice between stopped/clutched and smooth scrolling and compatibility with Logitech’s own receiver format, and bluetooth PCs, tablets, phones and other compute devices.

There are a few quirks as well, mostly due to a generational leap that Logitech is making across the MX series starting with the Master 3S and MX Mechanical: – This mouse is NOT compatible with Logitech’s UNIFYING receivers that they’ve been including with peripherals for YEARS now.

They have upgraded it to a new technology called Logitech BOLT which will replace UNIFYING in their lineup. BOLT has some technical advantages, such as reduced USB bandwidth and I believe better coverage/reduced latency but this will disappoint those who are only upgrading one peripheral and expected backwards compatibility with their other desktop components.

BOLT is the new UNIFYING at Logi, but you’ll need to upgrade everything to take advantage. BOLT devices can’t work with a UNIFYING receiver, and UNIFYING compatible devices won’t work with a BOLT receiver.

Its a lose-lose on compatibility. Thankfully Bluetooth is Bluetooth and supports all, but if you use the receivers, you’ll need two to support mixed old/new standards. – Just as with the hardware, the software is being replaced also- Gone is support for Logitech Options, the keyboard and mouse customization software for the rest of the MX series, to be replaced by Logitech Options+, which gets nary a mention on their Options website.

I spent about 30 minutes troubleshooting how I had the latest version of Options and STILL couldn’t see my MX Master 3S in its configuration screen. The good news here is that Options+ DOES support many of the older MX series items also, so upgrading to it in a mixed estate should be no problem.

All in all this is a generational change, which will delight some and infuriate others, but I’m so happy to have this device, as well as the rest of the EXCELLENT MX Series, in the stable. I loved it so much I went out and added an MX Mechanical to the set (which I will review separately) just to have everything on my station on BOLT and Options+ and to take advantage of its improvements.

The new MX Series devices are worthy of the name!.

Logitech’s MX Master 3s mouse represents the pinnacle of the MX series mice. It offers refinement in materials, buttons, noise, connectivity, and ergonomics that set it apart from its predecessors. As a long time fan of the MX series this mouse tops the Master/Performance series by a good margin.

First of all, I’ll lead with the fact that Logitech has gone a long way to making their packaging more environmentally friendly. Practically all the packaging was made of cardboard that’s easily recyclable instead of the “I’m going to cut you” plastic of yesteryear.

I appreciate this movement, and it means I can recycle or keep the box. The mouse itself feels even more durable and the materials in use feel like this mouse will last a good long while. While it does not include a user serviceable battery, I can attest that my 10 year old Performance MX can hold enough charge to be useful to this day, so I’m not concerned about this mouse becoming e-waste.

Now, a few things to know about this mouse: It’s a continuation of the original MX Performance mouse, but really it’s a reimagined MX Master 3. The Master 3s adds a new 8K sensor, super quiet buttons and an even quieter scroll wheel without messing with the existing ergonomics and connectivity already associated with the MX Master 3.

If you have a Master 3, you may not want to upgrade, but if you’re an OG or Master 2 mouse user, this is a worthy upgrade for sure. Included in the box is a Bolt receiver which can be used with the first channel, and the other two channels can use Bluetooth (or another receiver).

Finally a USB-C to USB-A cable is included for charging. Speaking of charging, Logitech claims 3 hours of use from a single minute of charging. 70 days is possible from a full charge. While I can’t verify those claims, almost a week of use hasn’t dented the battery significantly.

USB-C charging means this guy is pretty universally chargeable. One thing I noticed is that it didn’t seem to be able to operate as a wired mouse when plugged in (and no receivers or connections). If you’re new to the MX Series, what really sets these mice apart is the scroll wheel.

Designed to be able to flick through an Excel spreadsheet at lightning speed (Logitech claims 1000 lines per second), the free spinning scroll wheel was an experiment that really did catch on with those that adopted the performance MX.

Originally a click in on the scroll wheel would change between free scrolling and clicky, but the later Master mice swapped to an automatic trigger (although the button right behind the wheel swaps modes).

If you scroll with enough force, the clicky scrolling gives way to free scrolling. The MagSpeed scroll wheel is unique and functional. This, combined with the larger shape, and plethora of buttons is what made the MX Performance/Master mice popular amongst business/software professionals.

With the MX Master a horizontal scroll wheel was added, and this eventually turned into a more prominent feature. While some pros do use the horizontal scroll wheel to move about in their enormous excel spreadsheets, I love Logitech’s Options+ software.

Not only can I set the primary feature to be volume control, in which the horizontal scroll wheel’s heavy weighted feel is quite natural at, but the software also installs profiles: for instance in chrome, I can simply swap tabs using the horizontal scroll wheel, or use it for zoom in a powerpoint presentation.

Another big feature that’s unique to the MX series is the darkfield sensor. While Logitech has dropped the marketing wording around it, it’s still quiet the achievement in laser technology. The ability to track on glass is still not the most universal feature, and this mouse basically will track on any surface pretty accurately.

The big differentiator for the 3s is the quiet click buttons. It delivers its promise. While being nearly inaudible, the buttons still maintain a satisfying click feel. Logitech made sure every button had this feel, which is a nice touch.

The thumb base button also feels quite soft. I was impressed that button included gestures for multi-tasking that map very naturally into Windows 10/11 and Mac OS. Speaking of, the Logitech MX Master 3s fits right in a Mac environment.

Logitech Options+ software works well on both Mac and Windows and enables things like Flow, which can transfer text, images, and even files between computers. It even allows swapping between computers by moving the mouse to the edge of the screen.

Logitech has really done an amazing job nailing the software, as Flow is super slick. Overall the MX Master 3s is a refinement upon several refinements. I’ve long been a fan of these mice, and despite what some may say, I’ve successfully played twitch shooters on these mice for years to great effect.

The ability to trace anywhere is one of my favorite features. I’ve been a long time user of the smaller Anywhere MX series, but this full size MX feels more natural than any of the other full size MX mice I’ve used in the past (Performance MX, Master MX).

For productivity, it’s hard to imagine a better mouse. Logitech continues to deliver the best mice in the industry.

An optical mouse is nothing new for any of us in 2023. Even wireless mice are probably considered old school by now. So, why is this the better option than what you already have? Ultimately, this does what every other mouse does, but just a little bit better.

It comes with a few extra buttons (and wheel) which are very easy to customize with the downloadable software. In particular, I really appreciate the sun wheel that sits directly below your left some along with the included back/forward buttons.

You can customize any of these buttons to whatever keystroke you’d prefer, but I find the default settings to be perfect for me. Assuming you are right handed, this may be the most comfortable mouse I’ve ever used.

Tracking is fast and very precise, and while it is not marketed as a gaming mouse, it seems more than adequate for that application, as well. Compared to my wired “gaming mouse“, I really can’t discern a difference (although I am admittedly not a hard-core, third person shooter, kind of guy)….

Wireless performance is seamless, as would be expected. One of the nice features of this particular mouse is that it can be connected either via Bluetooth or using the wireless dongle connected to a open the USB port.

I can’t discern any particular latency with either option. It does have a onboard memory that will remember multiple devices, so it is easy to switch use from your desktop to a laptop, for example. Wow this does have some nice bells and whistle‘s, ultimately what matters is whether or not it functions as you would expect.

As already stated, for me this mouse is a solid improvement over my prior pointing device, and just seems a bit more polished in every way. For something that we use for probably 75% (conservative estimate) of our computer interaction – which for many of us can be several hours a day – this is more than a worthwhile investment.

Two thumbs up!.

This has got to be the most comfortable mouse I have ever used. It may cost well above the price of your typical, run-of-the-mill regular mouse, but it is well worth it. When they say “ultrafast scrolling” they mean it.

No more zig-zagging up and down and left and right all over the place next to your keyboard. You just move the mouse a small distance and the cursor is there, just where you want it, in a fraction of the time.

The scrolling and movement, both on the screen and physically with the mouse, is as smooth as butter. The ergonomics of the mouse is superb. I am not exaggerating when I say that it is so comfortable.

The soft, rubbery-feeling thumb rest placement combined with the natural curvature of the mouse itself makes for an almost cloud-like, pillowy feel when you place your hand upon it. It’s not too tall, not too short.

The customizable buttons, both on the side by the thumb rest and on top, are in perfect placement, as are the scroll wheels. And the sound–the clicking is virtually silent, it’s so quiet. You do get the satisfying click sound so you know the click was registered, but it is very subtle.

It pairs via Bluetooth or USB receiver; I utilized Bluetooth pairing, which was seamless and quick. It also charges via a USB-A to USB-C charging cable that is included–no messing around with batteries.

I tried this mouse with several of my own devices as well as others’ in my household–my iMac and iPads, my husband’s Samsung and ASUS laptops, my kids’ Dell and Chromebook laptops and desktops, etc.

All the different operating systems and web browsers worked well with this mouse, as did the switching between devices. (So I could switch seamlessly between my iMac and iPad, or from our Dell desktop to one of our laptops, etc.

It can be paired simultaneously with up to three devices. ) Among the several mice we’ve had over the years, from different brands and different kinds and at different price points, this is definitely one of the best.

Highly recommended.

Don’t buy if you have a MacBook Air. The middle click will not work. If that doesn’t matter to you then sure buy it. It will connect via Bluetooth. Just keep in mind middle click will not work and Logitech will not answer any questions about this button not working even though they are heavily advertising this mouse as great option for Mac.

Things you can do with this mouse on MacBook Air: Left click (standard left click functions) and Right Click (standard right click functions). Scroll wheel: scroll up and down (and it may not be a smooth scroll.

It may feel like it’s lagging or is “choppy” for lack of a better word. There is no side scrolling or closing tabs etc with the middle button/mouse wheel. Again, if all you need is a left click and right click and something that will connect then sure buy it.

It’s super portable. I actually really like the design of the mouse. Super disappointed it doesn’t work for me.
