I don’t want to sound like the grumpy ole fart who leaves reviews that doesn’t help anyone so I will be as honest as possible when reviewing this microphone in hopes that this messages spreads and reach more people.

Let me start off by saying I play a lot of FPS on PC anywhere from escape from Tarkov, apex legends, COD, and soon battlefield 2042. I can clock roughly 4-5 hours a day after work so I’m mostly on. I purchased this headphones the beginning of December 2020.

First impressions:Loved the headset. Audio wasn’t spectacular but It still got the job done with hearing footsteps in game and being in the moment. The chat/game mix is one of the easiest I have ever dealt with and I’ve had A50’s (gen 3) as well.

The replaceable batteries are really good as well. I never had to worry about my wireless headset dying which is really good if you game a lot or forget to charge one of the batteries. The software interface wasn’t bad, I had small issues with the display when enabling the discord features on the station.

8 MONTHS LATER “Premium Headset”:Please note the headliner for this section still pisses me off because for a $330 headset I would expect it to last a year maybe more? The base where it connects to the ear pieces are cheaply made, the ONE point of contact (which i wished I paid attention to before) causes this headset is easily degrade in durability.

Let me note, I have never been rough with this headset. It sits on a stand in my gaming room. The only time it is in use is if I’m playing the game. So for the headset to simply fall apart after 8 months in the way it did, is unacceptable for $330 headphones.

When trying to bring this issue to the manufacturers attention, as you can see, they simply gave me a generic answer. The crazy THING is I even OFFERED TO PAY for just the headset. They denied my request which led me to believe they would simply prefer to have you buy the whole thing again.

I personally believe this company doesn’t stand behind their product. I’ve spoken to audio headset engineers who have also expressed this could very well be a design flaw but they will not admit that.

(That’s how far and mad I’ve become to go that far). I’ve had A50’s, A40’s, Turtle Beaches, and have never been more upset. Furthermore, if you look at their other models, I believe I saw a artic 7 In Best Buy, sams design but different frame used for the connection where the ear pieces meet.

They look more stable and secure than its expensive counterpart. Suggestion: If you do buy an artic headset, specifically these ones, get it from Best Buy and get there 2 year warranty so WHEN this happens to you, you can return it for another one because the company will not help you what-so-ever.

I have been a long time customer of SteelSeries peripherals. I have owned many different models of there mouse and keyboards, mousepads, and even the old racing wheel they used to sell. I was looking into buying a headset around the time that these came out and was really excited to check them out.

I originally wanted the wireless version or the ones that comes with the gamedac, but they were constantly out of stock so i settled on these instead. For the price you pay though, they really are not worth it.

First the aluminum band sockets into a plastic housing which has been known for a long time to break convienently right after the warranty period ends, the audio quality really isnt that great for the amount that you pay.

The only positive that I can give this thing is that the mic is great, almost too good as it picks up basically everything around you. If you are like me and tend to buy really clicky and loud mechanical keyboards, I would definitely think about getting something else as your teammates will hear your every keystoke in game.

I am really kind of disappointed in this headset. I recently just picked up a pair of Corsair HS70 pros, they are wireless, far cheaper, and the overall sound and build quality are much better if you are in the market I would look into alternatives.

Astro is also another you may want to consider before these.

I know these are meant to primarily be gaming headphones, so maybe my experiences with them have been different than others as I don’t do a lot of online gaming. While I have tried these out, my 13 year old son (who always has headphones attached to his head) has mostly used them.

The only real complaint I had with these was getting them connected to devices. He had difficulty at first getting them to connect to devices even when following the instructions. He tried using them on the Nintendo Switch and couldn’t ever really get them connected.

Now that he has them connected to his laptop, he wears them all the time. He likes that they have a sound cancelling button that you can turn on or off. When it’s on (which is most of the time), he rarely hears me.

It does have a microphone that pulls out if he wants to use them as a gaming headset. He mostly plays Roblox with friends or his brother and sister, so it doesn’t get used much, but it works well when he does use it.

The sound quality of the headphones is excellent. He tells me that they are way better than the previous wireless headphones he was using. They are very comfortable over the ears and don’t cause pain after extended use.

They are comfortable enough that he falls asleep with them on sometimes. When they run down, he is good about plugging them in. They seem to last forever without needing to be charged as I know he has used them all day for multiple days before needing to be plugged in.

While these may be more expensive than other brands, they are much more durable and better quality than the cheaper brands. Even with my son wearing them all the time (including while he sleeps sometimes) they are sturdy and should last for a long time while I’ve had to replace his other ones about every 3 months with how tough he is on them.

I would highly recommend them to gamers, teenagers who wear them all the time, or anyone who wants comfortable headphones that help drown out the background noises.

I am diggin’ these Arctis Nova headphones! I am able to clearly hear even the slightest sounds in my game but not hear the other gamers’ outside noises at all. The setup was fast and easy – all I had to do was plug in the dongle and the cord and the pairing was done almost instantly.

The fit comfortably on my head without the pressure headache I have gotten from other headphones and the earmuffs fit completely over my ears without sliding off. The hideable microphone is awesome because when I need it I lightly pull it from it’s hidden spot and the voice quality is crisp and not garbled.

I also like that it is flush when not in use so I don’t worry about damaging it. The versatility between using Arctis headphones is a great bonus. I used them on my PS4, my iPod, my stereo and with my smart tv all with no loss of quality.

The fast charge rocks! Literally 10 minutes of charging and I used the for over 5 hours! Watching the light level changes is a really nice feature. I can tell roughtly where the charge is just by the color.

So impressed with these headphones that I’m thinking that they’ll be a gift to the hubby in the future!.

Not only is this Arctis Nova 7P headset comfortable and stylish, the sound quality and background noise controls are excellent. The weight of this headset feels like a premium product right out of the box, heavier than most.

I own a different SteelSeries headset and while it also is high performing, it doesn’t come close to the Arctis Nova 7P! This headset works well for my work meetings, but after work it transfers seamlessly to work with my PS5 gaming system! Another upgrade from my other headset is that it charges with high speed USB-C rather than USB mini which is a welcome change! Even opening the box was exciting with lots of pieces, including a cute folding little cardboard character that I enjoyed quite a bit.

The head strap is fully adjustable and fits well and the ear cushions don’t get uncomfortable after several hours of use. The battery stays charged for a long time and charges quickly which is useful for both work and play! Love this headset and will continue to use SteelSeries quality product line.

During the lockdowns I learned to play league with my boyfriend and “the boys”, my boyfriend built himself a brand new computer and gave me his old headset since it was better than Samsung phone earphones.

We got a puppy and he unfortunately chewed through the headset chord. I needed a new headset that was wireless, I wanted something comfortable and light since I’m small and my head is very small. My choices were the SteelSeries, this and the Corsair Virtuoso.

I watched and read many many reviews and personal opinions and kept going back to the g733 and SteelSeries. I decided on the g733 because of the consistent review (that males would mostly make or a Caucasian women gamers) on how tight or small it was.

I could tell right away that it would fit me perfectly. I liked that it was mesh as opposed to leather for the fabric since leather gets really bad wear over time, and my boyfriend kept reassuring me that this headsets mic was going to be way better than the 6 year old $60 one I was replacing.

I’m not too keen on the actual specs but right away I could hear the difference on how much better this one is, and all my guy friends said how crisp and louder my voice was. So, if you’re a small Asian girl like me, who likes to play league or games with your man & other friends, wants something light and comfortable without your neck hurting, with great sound and pretty good mic, and something beautiful, this headset is it! The two things I love about it is the fact that I can charge it and use it at the same time, I can use my phone chord to charge it too since it doesn’t require a battery in the headset like the SteelSeries, and how convenient it is to run the bathroom without feeling I’m taking off and putting on 7 pounds from my head.

First time buying a wireless gaming headset. Found this one open box and have been very happy with it so far. The sound is exactly the same as my Logitech headset that I previously had so there was no extra adjustment time.

It was recognized right away in G-Hub. The range is pretty good on it too so it’s nice being able to walk around my room and still hear my friends in discord or whatever YouTube video I may be watching.

The microphone isn’t the best, but that may be partly because I didn’t turn on the blue voice settings in G-Hub. I don’t really need the microphone though, because I use a Blue Yeti, so I took it off.

Battery life is decent. I try to charge it overnight using my ps5 since I leave it in rest mode, but it usually won’t charge all the way and I end up needing to leave it plugged it when I turn everything on.

It charges fast though so it’s not a big deal to me. I could probably find a better way to charge it. The sound quality is pretty good. There’s not really much of any noise cancellation though, so if you’re in a noisy room or area, you’re still going to hear most of what’s going on around you.

I like that I can tap the power button when using it and it will tell me the battery percentage. I love how it feels on my head and there is an adjustable head band which I needed to use since my head is a little larger.

It is also very lightweight. Hopefully this headset will last me for years to come.

Most comfortable pair of headphones/headset I’ve ever worn, easily. Battery life has slightly diminished over approx 1 years time. The port for USB-C charge has worn over time, and due to it being a vertical, wearing them while plugged in.

often results in the cable coming loose. I think this issue applies to almost all wireless headsets though. I hope someone can figure this out one day, because realistically, you only go wireless sometimes.

or at least, that’s how I use them. (it’s still technically a wireless signal but I just don’t want to have to constantly think about battery life when I don’t need to?) Maybe some kind of magnet assisted USB-C cable connection could help this cable stay in.

Sound quality and bass are pretty decent. The software isn’t bad, slightly un-intuitive to navigate. I think the mic is garbage? I never use it, I have a stand alone RODE mic. Friends comment saying I sound extremely different and weird with the headset mic.

Biggest issue by far, for a high end gaming headset. Absolutely NO sound isolation at all. Yeah they’re not noise cancelling headphones, that’s not in the product description but, these may as well be open back headphones.

I bought these because the pads on my old wireless bluetooth headphones had been worn thin and the company I bought them from no longer sold that pair. I bought these because I was looking for a solid set that sounded good – had modular capability (I kinda hate getting poked in the face by the mic) and were wireless.

Well, I got two out of three things with that. I bought them thinking they were wireless, but they’re not – but it wasn’t a total deal breaker for me and was also on me for not realizing it, especially at the price I paid.

The construction of these headphones are top notch. I love that they used actual thick metal for the headband and the hinges. That was my #1 issue with most logitech products is that the headband and hinges would break constantly.

Now that they’re reinforced, I most likely will see the other parts break before the hinges and headband do. The sound is rather good compared to the G935’s and G933 Artimus Spectrums I’ve owned. The base is deeper, vocals are much clearer and sound more full.

Over all an improvement for sure. For me it falls flat in the 7. 1 surround sound settings. Even with plenty of fidgetting with the settings (It comes with it’s own software suite which is nice. I own a 603 wireless mouse and it shows me battery % and allows me to program the buttons on the left of the mouse.

) and I could not get it to sound better than listening to everything through a tin can. Everything sounds distant and echo’s too much, but what can you really expect from digital surround sound? I’ve get to find a solid set of 7.

1 headphones. I’ll stick to the real deal or a 5. 1 sound bar. Over all, these headphones are a solid pick up if you want a pair of analogue headphones with some solid audio quality.

One of the biggest things I was looking for with a headset when I bought this was for comfort. My old headset was pinching my ears and head over long periods and actually giving me headaches. I found a lot of things that said these were very comfortable and there happened to be one pair in stock at our local Best Buy.

I am so glad I bought these overall. I have bought SO. MANY. HEADSETS over the last several years. Most end up being disappointments and falling by the wayside for some reason or the other – quality and lack thereof, comfort, connection issues for the wireless ones, you name it – but I’ve been using these happily for almost a year.

The cloth earcups are the way to go imo, but otherwise the sound quality is good for what it is, the mic is excellent and I immediately had people commenting on how much clearer I sounded compared to my old headset, and the comfort DID live up.

It’s not like it feels super luxurious or anything, it’s just that it stays comfortable after long wear. It took a couple of days to get past that initial brand new headset tightness, but ever since it has been comfortable and my wife even prefers it over other headsets in the house now.

Highly recommend these over the Steel Series Arctis 3/5 and others that tend to be favorites in the same range.

After using my Turtle Beach Recon 70 for over a year, the wiring in the cord was starting to disconnect leading the crackly audio from the headset, so I decided to step-up and get a nicer quality headset for gaming.

Pros: -The audio quality is great and I love the surround sound and how crisp everything is. -External audio driver which is great since my laptop’s own audio driver started having issues after updating to Windows 11, plus allows more customizability with G Hub.

-Removable cords and mic makes storage easy and helps keep the cord from becoming damaged. -Stylish and simple look. -Good price for it’s ability. Cons: -Mic quality could be better, sadly this mic was a downgrade from the Turtle Beach Recon 70 (ironic, I know) but still works really well, just takes a lot of tweaking in G Hub.

-Not the best for glasses-wearers or larger heads. It fits pretty snug on my head, but I’ve found wearing glasses while using this headset for long periods of time can lead to discomfort. Neutral: -Doesn’t fold but I found a cheap headset holder that works well for storage.

-Wired, which is what I prefer. Cord is pretty long so not much risk of it getting caught on stuff. Overall this is a great headset if you are wanting a good quality, wired headset, especially if a mic is the least of your concerns.

I have to preface this that I have owned this headset since 2018. It was worth aroundabout 100 to 120. The thing at the time was a beast. I was moving from a steelseries and I really enjoyed the sound that came out of the drivers.

That goes without saying though that it is pretty much all that they got going for them. The build quality is good (granted I had dropped the headset a couple times while standing up, unbeknownst to me I was stepping on the cord) but it really started to bust up on the second fall.

The plastic brackets that are between the headband and the driver arms started to crack, and now i have broken pieces in my headset. I’ll get some popping in my sound as well. It started to do this to me around a year ago, but I did some tests to see how the popping starts and as it turns out the drivers are getting old and arent able to keep the output that they were able to bust out with no problem.

I decided to see if i could do some DIY repair on the plastic part that was cracked and found that there were 2 tiny little plastic pieces that hold onto the drivers and keeps them aligned. Both of those were cracked.

There were also 3 pins to maintain proper alignment and noticed one of the pins were either missing or melted off! I know though that this is an old headset and that it might have been chipped or clipped off during the fall but the ideaology behind the drivers being held on by that bracket with two tiny pieces just baffles my mind.

I had recently purchased a newer headset from a brand that is well known for their sound quality but is much more expensive. I personally hope and pray that it will be a better quality control than this headset.

Overall, if you want to get into a good heaset that sounds decent and you dont mind the quality of what ive highlighted from this headset, then this would be a decent fit. I am giving this 4 stars given from it’s longevity for the price.

It is rare for a headset to last this long for me, even though I dont abuse my stuff. (Also must mention that the cups that you get the faux leather and the other material, just stick with the leather.

The other material sucks moisture from your ears and will give you a rash after a while).

I’ve had this headset for about a month now – I use it at work where I wear it every day for a full workday, and it’s very comfortable, even with my glasses. I was a little wary of going with a wireless headset, but I’ve gone into another room about 150′ from my desk and still remained connected with no dropouts – I don’t anticipating ever needing more than that.

The audio is clear and loud, and the headset does a very good job of blocking out other noise in the office. The volume wheel is a scroll wheel that controls the computer’s master volume, so no fiddling with computer and headset volume controls separately.

I really like the red LED mute indicator on the end of the mic boom. It’s not distracting, but if I look for it, it is visible in my peripheral vision – and the mute button is raised, while the power button is flush, which helps distinguish them by feel while wearing the headset.

I’ve not yet pushed past two days, but this will happily go two full workdays on a single charge, and recharging is quick. The headset will sleep after a period of time with no connection – such as when I shut my computer down for lunch, so there’s no concern of forgetting to turn it off.

I plug my dongle into a dock on my desktop where I can see it, and there is a clear, but not overly bright red LED glow when it’s connected, and it flashes when the headset is not connected, which can help quickly confirm that it’s paired.

Several other people in my office had this same headset already, and now I know why.

HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset is a great headset, it provides an excellent audio quality especially for gaming. It gives enough noise cancelling for me to not get distracted while playing or for other purposes.

The sound card and speakers are great. The headset is really comfortable and durable as well. When I use it, it doesn’t hurt my ear at all and it fits perfectly for most people because it is adjustable.

I really like how the mic is detachable. Also, I like how there is a baggy provided because I can store the other parts when I’m not using it. I can use it mostly anywhere there is a usb cord or a headphone jack.

It is also easy to carry around since it’s not heavy and not too bulky. According to my friends who I talk to while using the headset, the microphone quality is crystal clear. The one thing I did encounter is that there weren’t too many color choices to pick from.

Sometimes the wire gets in the way, however that is only because it is a wired headset rather than a bluetooth headset. When it comes to pricing, I think that it was decently priced, not too much, not too cheap.

Although there is a problem I noticed, which was the microphone’s structure. I noticed that as I bend the mic, it causes these wrinkles. One thing that stood out to me, is that there is free technical support with a two year warranty which is always helpful if there were to have a problem with the product.

Overall I think that this product is really good and definitely worth the price.

TL;DR – They sound good once you get all the extra optional software installed; the non-adjustable headband was okay if you wear them “properly”; the microphone sounds absolutely terrible (like you’re far away and talking through a can with string); I highly strongly sincerely recommend the Corsair HS80 gaming headset over this! In-depth review – I returned these things after 1 day of “use” — and most of that time was spent trying to get them to sound halfway decent.

I installed the required software needed to run them and everything sounded HORRIBLE. Turns out that you need to install the optional software as well for the EQ and sound options. I understand that that’s not that big of a deal, and they did indeed sound good after I got it all installed and set up, but I didn’t want all of their bloatware and unnecessary junk on my computer.

Turns out I had no choice in the matter. But there was another issue with the mic that I just couldn’t accept. According to my gaming buddies, it sounded substantially more horrible than my webcam mic that I’d been using.

NOTHING that I could do would allow me to fix or adjust this either. So after the constant complaints of not being able to understand and hear me, I finally just unplugged them and went back to my webcam and external speakers.

Another thing to touch on is the non-adjustable headband. For reference, I wear a size L motorcycle helmet and these things just barely fit my head, although it was a good fit once I wore them “properly”.

If you have a larger head though then you might want to skip these. I took these back and spent $6 more for the Corsair HS80 headset and it was night and day!! I did have to install a Dolby app from the MS Store on my Windows 10 system, but they sound so much better and the microphone is absolutely perfect.

Even if these BlackSharks are okay or good enough for you, the other is just so much better all the way around.

Went from a Logitech G933 wireless headset that I used for about 3 years to this after the microphone on the old headset just stopped working. Prior to that, had used a Corsair Void Pro RGB wireless headset that worked for about 2 years (although with various issues, do not recommend) and then the battery refused to hold a charge.

So far, the Razer headset has worked well, and the biggest pro I’d say is that the battery is very long lasting. I use the headset for easily 12-15 hours a day without issue. I work from home and am either listening to music or in virtual meetings or on phone calls pretty much all day.

I then usually do some gaming or watch shows for a few hours in the evening. The Logitech headset with all LEDs off got at best about 10 hours and I’d usually have to start charging it towards the end of the work day if I didn’t want it dying on me that evening.

That being said, I think I’d still prefer the Logitech G933 overall in terms of features/sound quality. I particularly like being able to wash the ear cups and replace the battery. The real test for me though will be how long the Razer headset continues working, since I’ve not had luck with any wireless headset working beyond 2-3 years so far.

Pros of Logitech G933: ——————————– Better overall sound quality and sound isolation. Deeper bass without sounding muddled. User replaceable battery. Removeable/washable ear cups.

Better wireless range (~10ft more range). Pros of Razer BlackShark v2: ————————————— Much longer battery life (about 30-40% longer for me). Can get louder than the G933, but distorts more at high volume.

Noticeably better microphone. Lighter weight without being too light/sliding around. Lastly, Razer’s software is actually really good compared to virtually all other PC peripheral software I’ve used, most of which tends to be total garbage.

Logitech’s G-Hub software is functional, but also greatly reduces the overall volume of the G933 when it’s installed and I have no idea why. I ended up just uninstalling it.

One of the better sounding wireless gaming headsets on the market. It’s obviously not going to sound are great as wired headsets, especially studios, but, specifically for what it is, they sound great.

The clamp force isn’t too intense or too loose. I personally like the black and white aesthetic and how it moves away from Razer’s mostly green products. Unfortunately, this item only lasted 9 months with me.

Now, it repeatedly disconnects every half a minute or so. Sometimes, it takes as long as two to three minutes between a disconnect. Other times, it disconnects three to four times in a row. It immediately reconnects, but you don’t hear any audio during that disconnect other than the audio cue of said disconnecting and reconnecting.

I cannot in good conscience recommend a product that cannot even make it a year. I’ve looked it up, and many, many people are facing this same issue. I was so fed up with the connection issue that I dusted off my old wireless Arctis 1, which connected immediately and with no issue.

Pros: – Great sound for wireless gaming headset – Appropriate clamp force – Simple, clean aesthetics Cons: – Connection issue less than a year – Earcups cannot be replaced without a few specific tools and specific earcups that only work for Blackshark V2s.

This is a good wireless headset with a lot of sound quality and decent customization, but its got too many issues that aren’t worth the price. Lighting is useless, since it’s only one tiny square and should have just been a default “sticker” of some kind instead of an RGB icon, because despite how small an area it is, that small square kills the already small battery.

Range is abysmal, as you you can go maybe 3-5 steps away from your desk before it starts cutting out. (I’m in a small room and I can’t reach the bathroom just 1 room over, maybe 8 feet away from the pc it’s plugged into) Comfort-wise it’s great, but terrible for glasses.

The earcups are super comfy and the whole headset is well padded and good for long hours of gameplay. The band at top is awkward for “adjusting” to your head, and will take a few tries to feel right, but it does the job well.

I personally prefer the Void Pro’s style of headset adjustment better as it’s quicker, but the band here is much comfier than the thin patch of padding the Void Pro has. The microphone is kind of hit or miss, as it has connection difficulties when trying to connect to Discord or Google Meet stating it’s been muted (even though it isn’t) or showing that you are unmuted but the red microphone light is still on.

*You would have to go into the iCue software and manually unmute it, and you need to have the new 4. 0 version of the software for it to even be recognized. Sound quality on the mic is all-right, but not really worth the price you’re paying.

The charging cable is a USB-C, but it has to be a specific USB-C. Your average cable has a noticeable bulge right before the connection point, (where the metal bit starts) and because this headset needs a “slim” USB-C you can only use specific cables.

(My Pixel 4 USB-C cable is too bulky for this, as are all of my other USB-C cables) Overall it’s not a bad headset if you want to sit at your desk and not worry about cables, though with how short the battery life is it doesn’t really feel worth it.

You can honestly go with a wired headset and it won’t make much of a difference. With how small the battery is you’re bound to be tethered to your desk within a few hours anyway. Personally I feel you can do just as good, if not better with a wired headset.

If you’re looking for a good wireless headset I would recommend trying the HyperX Cloud II (2). Same price, but it’s got a MUCH better range and battery.

I love almost everything about the HS80. Out of headsets I’ve used from Astro, Steelseries, and Razer it’s by far my favorite in terms of sound and mic quality and it’s up there in terms of comfort. I just wish the battery life was better and that’s the only thing keeping me from giving it a full 5-star rating.

I love the design of the HS80’s compared to the older Corsair headsets (I still like the older headsets too though). It has an understated professional look that I really appreciate ad the built-in illumination isn’t too crazy.

The materials are mostly plastic, but the construction is very high quality and keeps everything lightweight. It’s got the ‘ski goggle’ style headband that I love so much from the Steelseries headsets and the foam earpads breathe well.

The flip-down microphone holds its position well, though I’ve noticed it’s loosened up ever so slightly in the months I’ve had it. It’s nowhere near the point of it becoming unstable, but something to keep any eye on longterm.

In the box you get the headset, a wireless receiver, and a charging cable that also pulls double duty for wired usage. The receiver is on the slightly larger side compared to other dongles I’ve used, but it’s nothing egregious and it has an LED light indicate whether or not the headset is connected which is nice.

The setup and settings management is done via Corsair’s iCUE software. I personal find Corsair’s software to be a little clunky, but it works well enough for adjusting the settings on the headset. Wirelessly you get 24-bit 48kHz and 96kHz wired.

I can’t say if I really notice the difference compared to 16-bit 44kHz on other headsets, but it sounds great in either scenario for a variety of content. Most recently I have switched from playing Halo on my Xbox with a Steelseries Arctis 7X to playing on my PC with the HS80, using Dolby Atmos in both situations, and I was very surprised at how much more easily I could identify what was going on around me.

The headset gets plenty loud too and in general I’m below 50% volume most of the time, which is not something I can say about a lot of other headsets. The connection wirelessly is mostly solid; I noticed some interference having the receiver connected directly to the front of my PC from time to time, but moving it to the USB port on my keyboard eliminated that issue.

The microphone is incredible and the best I’ve heard on any headset I’ve used. It rivals the Blue condenser mics I have even. It does let in a fair amount of background noise though, so be aware of that.

My only real problem with the headset is its battery life. Most other wireless headsets I’ve used I don’t really think about the battery life while I’m using them and with the HS80’s I do. The battery will frequently go from full to ‘Medium’ in a single gaming session (maybe ~2-3 hours) and it seems like I’m only getting around 10-12 hours before I need to plug them in to charge.

It’s not the worst, but it’s bad enough that it’s always something that’s in the back of my head. It’s a shame since the quoted battery life of 20 hours would put it in line with other wireless headsets I’ve used, but it definitely does not keep up with them.

At least the headset can still be used in a wired mode, so you’re not completely out of luck when the battery dies. Despite my issues with the battery life the HS80 is my new favorite headset. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a higher-end wireless headset as long as you can cope with the below-average battery life.

I have to say I’m really surprised that the reviews on these aren’t much higher. I just did a geek squad replacement of my OG virtuosos due to a problem they started having after a whole year of use.

I’m a big tech geek so I love new device so I thought I would try this new model and I couldn’t be happier. The things I didn’t really like about my virtuoso we’re all addressed in these new hs80s. They are more ear shaped versus round which IMHO is a way better design.

The pads are thicker than my old ones so the comfort is a big upgrade. I was surprised the foam was softer than the pleather. They seem to rest on your head much nicer than the virtuoso ones and don’t apply as much pressure over the top of your head over long use.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved my virtuosos but these are lighter, don’t hurt your head after a few hours, isolate sound wayyyy better and at the same time still allow you to hear outside a small amount (which I prefer).

I also really love the fact that I can just flip the mic out of the way. Sound quality is awesome and the EQ settings give me some adjustments to what I am doing. I first put them on and joined my mythic plus group on WoW in discord and immediately loved them.

The difference was night and day with how clear and smooth the sound was when listening to teammates talk. Less outside noise than the virtuoso but still able to hear if I kept the volume down. I did turn them up to 100 and play some good electro music, and I felt like I didn’t want to take them off.

I feel very confident in saying I could use these all day and I’ve only used them for about 5 hours straight so far. If you look at a lot of YouTube videos like I did you will see a common thing with Corsair headphones.

The clarity is fantastic. I highly recommend if you give them a chance you will like them. Best buy has a good return policy so why not right? I try stuff all the time, most of the stuff I keep and these are no exception.

I want to pickup a second pair that I can take to my office but I may just get a nice carrying case so I can enjoy them everyday everywhere. Corsair killed it with these headphones. I think the only possible negative is that if your head height or width is a bit bigger than mine, the strap adjustments may not go far enough.

I’ve got a larger chin with a beard and a more oval shaped head profile so I’d say try the fit first but even if they were a little snug, the comfort of the ear cups might still make up for that. They feel so good, I don’t want to stop using them.

I’ve been going back and forth with headsets for a few months now, I just found my headset moving forward. I’m not an Xbox guy. My jam is PS5. These headphones have a dongle that allows perfect sound quality in games.

I also use PC for WoW and as a music studio. The dongle will work for the PC while there’s a 3. 5mm jack (a dying breed). The 3. 5mm should allow me connectivity to my effects processor which allows me to dub guitar tracks in real time.

I haven’t tested this as of yet but I’m going to update when I do. There’s also bluetooth. I tried the Virtuoso headset with bluetooth and the bluetooth kept cutting out periodically so I’d miss part of a song which would throw my focus off balance.

I have yet to have that issue with this headset. I was an RGB freak and had most experience with a Logitech G935. They ran out of stock which made me look into other options. I’ve tried a Corsair Virtuoso RGB XT or something, and a Razer Nari Ultimate.

I’m updating with times so bluetooth with dual connectivity became a must. If these things are important to you then you really need to give this headset a try.

I’ve had this headset for a while now, about 1 1/2 years now. Pros: – sound is superb. * – works well with what it’s described. Though never used on PS4 or PS5. – Mic is good, no faults yet. ** – The weight of the headset is balanced well enough to never know you have them on for a long time.

Cons: -* Although the sound is good, sometimes you get a really bad sound all of a sudden you have some muffling. Wether it’s because the drivers can’t handle the sounds altogether or what, I wouldn’t know.

-** The mic is good but what I find is that you have a red light when connected to the base unit but when it’s not connected you can never tell, like using it with Xbox with the aux, red light doesn’t show up? – I don’t like that you can’t adjust the headband only so far.

– Why can’t they make a dual version for Xbox and PC instead of PC and PS?.

I was looking for a comfortable and wireless headset to use while working from home. Decided to drop the cash on a pricier headset after burning through a few cheap ones. This one is better than I expected.

I love the fact that it advertises to Windows that it’s 2 output sources. I can have music/video/whatever on the “game” channel and Teams/Zoom/etc on the “chat” channel. Then it’s a quick turn of the knob on the headset to adjust the balance.

Game changer right there. And this is super comfortable to me, as a glasses-wearer. It doesn’t push in at the temples like some headsets do. I’ve worn it for hours at a time, with no discomfort.

The headset also support Dolby Atomos but did not get a chance to use. I also used the headset with my PC and smartphone (Bluetooth) for zoom calls and the sound quality is good and my meeting participants did not have complaints.

The rated battery life is 18 hours, I think might have gotten close to that number. Overall for the price and the versatility, this is a great headset to buy!!.

These are ok. I’ve actually downgraded from G933’s because the battery wouldn’t charge anymore and only worked when wired to power. Anyway, the reason I bring that up is because there’s a big difference between the two and I feel like I should’ve got the G935’s or something similar.

The first thing I noticed of the bat was the sound difference in games. The sound field was so different and it’s hard to hear where sound is actually coming from whereas with the G933’s I knew exactly where sound was coming from.

I also didn’t realise that these don’t have G-hub support so you don’t have all the features that supports. The mic is a lot less receptive being only a small notch on the earcup itself and doesn’t sound that good and it’s too receptive to ambient sound, I have to use push-to-talk (on PC) or all everyone can hear is my mechanical keyboard.

Physically the headset is nice looking and is super lightweight and feel comfortable at least. If you have a decent gaming session you’ll need to put them back on the charger or you’ll find your getting the warning bro not long into your next session.

Being Bluetooth is also a bonus and music actually doesn’t sound too bad, I was actually surprised at that. Overall they are good headphones, I just probably expected too much going from the much higher quality G933’s.

Reason for the search I wanted a headset with which I can listen to music, chat in Discord, listen to Netflix and various media libraries. It should be wireless, comfortable, well padded and especially suitable for people who wear glasses.

In addition, a cool design, a microphone that can be adjusted variably and maybe something with lighting I found all of that with the JBL Quantum 610. But first things first. The scope of delivery included the headset, a windscreen for the microphone, an adapter for the PC, a USB 3.

0 charging cable and an audio cable. The whole thing came in a cloth bag, in which you can store everything well. The initial setup with the adapter works really well and quickly, almost without using the instructions.

It worked well at first, but in order to set the headset perfectly, you have to have the appropriate app (Windows 11) running on the PC. After that you could adjust the tones, the micro-sensitivity, the LED lighting and many other settings and adjust the headset to really suit your hearing and the respective purpose.

After the initial charge of about 3 hours, I was always able to use the headset completely empty, if I use it for about 3 hours every day, I could get by with it for almost 5 days without charging, of course without LED lighting.

With the lighting about a day shorter. Various LED displays explain the status to the user. A few combinations as an example: USB dongle flashes white – no connection to the headset USB Dongle Solid white – Connected to headset Solid white on headset – Powered on and connected to dongle Red on mic – mic is muted In general, the headset can be worn for a long time without getting too warm underneath or becoming uncomfortable.

I can also confirm the problem of the glasses brackets under the ear pads, which are not available. I can wear the headset with glasses without causing pain and being uncomfortable. When the Mirko is flipped up, it automatically mutes.

This is a very good function if you tend to forget to mute. In general you can say that it is a really good headset with great battery life and excellent sound. The modern look and the LED lighting are also a great eye-catcher for this headset in its price range.

Review: coming from two roommates that wore Astro A40’s I cannot with these headphones. Everything sounds like its in a can. I have the vibe that having the built-in amplifier is diminishing the quality, to my ears at least.

There’s even a noticeable difference in audio playback from recorded clips when the Virtuosos are processing the audio (I can share clips for reference. ) It just doesn’t seem as mechanically capable.

I don’t understand how reviews across the internet are favoring the Virtuosos. Playing Apex, I can’t really tell how far out fights are. I did get a good directional sense from them, yet somehow still felt disoriented.

Once enough sounds start going off at the same time, it just comes through as a slightly distorted mess. These things could very well just be their brand hardware mixing, but I did play with their software mixer.

It did ultimately nothing for the overall sound aside from what seemed like some volume adjustments. Not only am I unimpressed, I’m nearly disgusted with the experience. I’m sure some of this is coming from a place of unfamiliarity, given I’ve used Astros for like 3 years, but I at least notice a jump in quality when I experience it.

These seemed to have no upgrade from any standpoint aside from their visual design. I’ll also admit that the leather ear pads are not comfortable to roomate B. Roomate A loves ear cuffs personally. Astros use fabric ear covers and are breathable.

The corsairs had me feeling pressure at all times, surely being a factor of what was disorienting me. All in all, I can admit to a degree of bias, but I can’t let that dismiss all the negative of my experience.

If I go wireless, It’ll likely have to be A50s.

The good: looks great when you take it out the box. Battery life isn’t bad. Wireless function works well. App seems to work with regards to colors (but see below re: battery life). Mic is pretty decent and I like that it’s removable and seems to have good build quality (unlike the headphones themselves).

The bad: Gets ugly fast (and I don’t abuse my stuff) – the metallic “cups” are easily scuffed and ugli-fied. They also fell off after a month and I had to glue them back on. The battery holds a charge okay, but the App thinks its drained far too quickly.

After 20 or so minutes, I get a low battery warning. After 45-ish, I get a ‘critically low’ warning. I just ignore it because I’ve run it for four hours straight even with those messages – but they’re annoying.

I don’t see a way to reset the “battery life”, so it just keeps misreporting the battery level. It also gives me a headache after only a few hours because the band on top is too tight (this is a common review complaint, I understand).

Corsair could have done alot better and I’m prety disappointed, because this thing isn’t cheap! When you call something “Virtuoso”, your customers will think it’s very high level – that’s what it means to be a virtuoso.

The sound isn’t very high quality for the money. Not a lot of bass.

Not to throw trash to corsair because I have always used their products, mice , headset , cpu cooler, fans, love it! But I dont feel the same way with this headset, specially after paying a premium unlike my other old headset that I’ve paid 60-80$ and they are really good but old already so i thought maybe its time to get me something nice.

I am so disappointed, today I opened it and out of the box the sound sucks, so I changed the eq presets in iCUE, and then as i was playing listening to some music, during gameplay sounds the headset went crazy with a loud white/static noice that damaged my ears, It was so loud that I wanted to cry from the pain that this caused.

I understand that game sounds are a bit loud but , thats the point , on top of that I am paying a premium price for these. Not only that issued with the sound but also the material that they used for the ear pads , that thin leather rubber i dont know what it is but look, this is day one and it is already bothering the area around my ears by my cheeks, and with sweat I feel like this will be even worst.

And im not a very sweaty person either, but these things making me sweat, I can only imagine how the pads will look in a month. Can’t recommend these. Sorry corsair if i was rich I would be hiring a lawyer right now to sue you for damaging my ears with this headset.

Even though these are billed as “gaming” headphones, the audio quality out of them for conference calls and high-end audio sources alike is extremely impressive. Right out of the box these need very little tweaking.

When you do want to tweak though, you can use the Audeze HQ app on your phone, or download it on your Mac or Windows. The software can be a bit glitchy on Windows, and is by Audeze’s own admission still in active development, but overall the features and controls available are fantastic.

The head tracking feature is really cool but can easily lose center if you move around a bunch like leaning down to grab something off the floor that you knocked off your desk – it will start to wander to one side or the other when you do this.

Fortunately, there is a button on the left earpiece which lets you reset the center quickly and get your balance back to normal. I have to say it is pretty awesome and creepy at the same time to be on a call and do a 360 spin in your chair and you hear the voices stay exactly where you centered the headset.

Brings a bit of that “in-person” reality back to calls without having to use the ****** laptop speakers to get there. The microphone comes across amazingly clear from everyone I have talked to. They have all said it is the clearest sound they have heard from someone on a call, and we’re basically experts at this point thanks to everyone now being remote.

Bluetooth works reasonably well and hasn’t dropped connection at all, but I prefer to tether with a cable still just for the added reassurance that I’m getting the best signal. Playing a lot of my favorite artists on Qobuz have a brand new feel to them.

The highs are not ear shattering, and the bass won’t rattle the cans off your ears, but there is more than enough to make these deliver perfectly bright highs and punchy accurate bass response for rich immersion.

I first discovered these at AXPONA and thought they were a bit gimmicky hooked up to a video game demo, until I sat down and really listened to them. Sure, these aren’t nearly as nice as Focal, Meze, or even some of the other Audeze options, but again for this price point they are amazing at a fraction of the cost with the same planar magnetic technology as the expensive pairs.

I purchased a pair that day while still walking around the conference. I’m not currently using an amplifier or a DAC with them, but I do plan on purchasing an AudioQuest Dragonfly to really make the most of these until my next upgrade, especially for mobile listening.

BUYER BEWARE Now make no mistake, there is no better gaming headset on the market. The sound quality is insane and a bargain at 400 dollars and the on board mic is adequate. The 3D gimmick turns out to be more then that and remains an enjoyable function you will miss on any other headset.

However this all come with a gargantuan colossal BUT, and that is the build quality is unbelievably, unapologetically bad. You can see from the pictures that it is aesthetically good looking and it is comfortable to wear, even if it is a little heavy.

what the pictures don’t show you is a horrible design flaw. The design flaw is that the plastic above the ear swivels is incredibly prone to just. breaking in half, rendering the headset completely useless.

Mine broke in just five months, and I took good care of it. And no the warranty will not cover you. In my quest to find a repair to the issue I have found that this is an exceptionally common problem among Mobius owners and you can even find 3D printer files for replacement swivels.

that’s how prevalent the issue is. So overall the Mobius is an exceptional headset that is marred by the inexplicable reason to use cheap Chinese plastic that is prone to breaking on a premium 400 dollar headset.

I recently was trying to get the best sound I can buy for movies and music. Online research led me to Audeze Mobius. Yeah, I admit this is quite an expensive headphone, but so do all planar magnetic based headsets.

This headset has the best technology combination: HiFi Planar magnetic drivers, 7. 1 head-tracking surround, Bluetooth, USB 24bit DAC. It’s one size fits all for me. I use it mostly for 4K HDR movies playing in computer, and sometimes I’d like to bring it with my trips.

Most planar magnetic headphones are wired and need an amp. Not this one. No need to bring a portable amp with my phone, no cable mess. Once I connect it to the computer, it automatically becomes a 7.

1 surround headset, the sound stage stays in the same position when my head turns. It’s kinda magical. Its effect is way better than Dolby Access and DTS Surround. I am not a gamer so I cannot say things about the position accuracy.

Just my movies all now have wide sound stages and much better sound. Of course the most magical thing is the sound. Crispy high, clear mid and deep and responsive bass. This is the sound I have been looking for.

Of course you can turn of the 3D and switch to HiRes to get even better effect, but it’s good enough for me. I just love how beautiful it is out of the box. Yup, I was hesitated to spend so much for a headphone.

Now no one can take this baby out of my head!.
