We have had dogs our whole lives. This is the only product that works with virtually no training required. Chain link fences are expensive. Dogs can dig under them w/o concrete under the entire fence.

Wire buried in the ground doesnt work. If the dog is chasing a squirrel or rabbit, they are across the wire before the shock stops their pursuit, then shocks them so they cant return home. They end up OUTSIDE the fence.

If you turn up the signal to compensate, the yard shrinks to nothing. This unit works by broadcasting a radio signal from the base unit. As long as the collar receives the signal, nothing happens! But when they go too far, it will shock them until they return home.

There is virtually no training required to make this extremely effective. Note: the batteries in the collars need replaced regularly for the system to work. Our batteries would usually last 6-8 weeks.

I have a Siberian Huskey who honestly should have been named Houdini. Every time I think I made my yard “escape proof” he would always find a way to prove me wrong. So at this time in my life I am unable to afford a wood fence to go around my yard to keep my dogs in. With that being said I love my Premier Pet Wireless Fence. I can let my dogs out to run without any fear of them running away or getting hit by a vehicle.

This Premier Pet wireless fence is a must have for anyone that has dogs and a home without a fenced in yard. My husband and I were both surprised at how quickly and easily we had the system set up. It comes with everything you need and we love how we didn’t have to dig and bury any wires.

This comes with 50 boundary flags which helps my dog visually see where she needs to stay. The first time we introduced the fence to her, we walked her around the boundary areas on a leash with the collar on.

The description clearly stated product came in unopened box. Not true. Dog collar showed signs of having been used. Product is working well but was not brand new. Misleading description. Box had obviously been opened.

This product is amazing. The set up was easy despite some reviews saying it wasn’t. It took me less than the 1-2 hours it says on the box that it will take. I have no complaints about how it works. I was worried that the radius wouldn’t be enough room for my dog to run around it but it is just fine.

I can’t wait to get an extra collar for my other dog so that he can be on it too.

We have used this gate for several years to confine our yorkiepoo and shihtzu to the non-carpeted area in our travel trailer when we are not with them. It can be shaped into a confinement space in the kitchen and when we aren’t using it in the camper we use it in our house in the main entryway mostly to prevent visiting pups from being accidently let out the door.

Love the quality and ease of use. And I don’t trip getting over it with my short legs!.

The five panel gate met its nine week old Husky puppy user and the gate won, but the pup got his licks in. This pup had previously beaten the efforts of another gate by climbing over. This gate, so far, has not been defeated BUT it just might be because of some construction shortcuts, We also have two adult dogs and two cats who can jump over it with no problem which is what we wanted.

Problem is that one of the adult dogs hit the gate on a jump and one of the top rails separated slightly from the side rail. It is only a round pin and hole mating. It was knocked loose. It went right back together but a dab of wood glue, had it been used in the construction, would have prevented the problem.

Another thing, not noted in the info posted for the gate is that the package contains metal reinforcing brackets and mounting screws which you bend to fit the gate configuration you need. This is fine if you will always be using one shape but in our use, we have a daytime and a nighttime configuration.

It is very easy to lift the gate and reconfigure it for use in another area but we can not use these reinforcing brackets or else we are stuck with only one configuration. For us that is not a problem but for others it may limit the gates usefulness.

Overall we can recommend this gate for use with smaller puppies but for adult dogs it would be questionable. Hence a Four star rating. You will have to see if your use fits with the gates height and construction.

We adopted a 10 yr old Chiweenie princess who is struggling with some bladder issues. We needed to keep her out of carpeted areas, but wanted the flexibility of being able to change to either completely keep her off of carpet, or provide access to the stairs so she could check in with my husband working upstairs.

This already is worth its weight in gold. My living room looks spectacular, compared to the barricade we had created. The cat finds it amusing to hop over, and I can also easily step over, even with hands full of groceries, unlike the gate we have going downstairs which needs opened.

I am thrilled I can move this around as needed as well. The “L” brackets included add a nice bit of sturdiness for those 45 degree angles.

This product works! It does shock my dog when he gets too far out of range, which is great. My only qualm so far is that the range on my system seems to fluctuate. I walked the perimeter a few times for the initial setup and placed flags down based on when I heard the beeping from the collar, but when my dog wears it, he can go another 10-20 yards before finally getting shocked, while I was getting shocked just outside where I placed the flags.

Also, the beeping sound on my collar is probably loud enough for my dog to hear while he’s wearing it, but it is too quiet for me to hear while we are walking in the dried leaves with the wind blowing through the trees, and this has made training very difficult.

It would be really helpful if the system came with a remote option so that I could have the collar beep or shock exactly when/where I want it to (e. g. , when he’s getting very close to the flags and if he continues to walk beyond them) I know this would seem to defeat the purpose of training to the system, but I do think that training would go a lot faster bc I’d have more control in getting him to understand that when the collar beeps, he just needs to pull in a little closer to home.

The system just doesn’t cause the collar to start beeping at a consistent radius, and since I can’t hear the beeping, I’m not giving him the immediate feedback he needs in order to understand how to react to that beep.

I know this review definitely reads like it is a negative experience, but I will say that when my dog does get shocked, he doesn’t run away, so it works in that regard.

We have an existing fence however our Chessie loves to dig and has at times escaped out from under parts. My husband dug out the perimeter of our existing fence and installed the wire and flags in about a day and a half.

Started Saturday morning and took a few breaks and finished Sunday afternoon. We already had an edger and spade so those tools are very helpful. So far we have only needed to use the tone only for correction and our dog has reacted well.

I feel on the lowest setting if he were to not stop digging that would be enough to get his attention but I feel more confident if I were inside and not paying attention and he tried to get out that this would keep him in the yard.

Easy to charge the collar. I like that if we decide to move or add to our family that it’s easy to take with us and not permanently in the ground. Just add another collar and you are good to go. Our boy is very smart so it’s only been about 5 days and he is already getting the hang of where he can go.

I’m kinda on the “fence”, pun intended. The transmitter and wire was easy to set up. The flags make it easy to know where the wires are located. The collar can be adjusted from a small 5 lb dog up to a much larger dog, it has a great amount of nylon strap to adjust.

I read through the directions multiple times, because the collar doesn’t turn on unless you’re at 4 or over on the level. I don’t understand this since 1 is for training and only suppose to make a sound not a shock.

So I tried it on both my small spaniel/ terrier mix that weighs 11 lbs and my daughters dog who is a blue healer mix weighing about 25 lbs. Since it had to be on 4 to turn on thats what we tried. Both dogs yelped and tried to run away when they got close to the wire.

I can’t imagine if it had been turned up higher. I didn’t have the collar tight, just barely snug around their neck. I believe if we could get it to work the way the directions said we could teach them not to go past the flags and remain where we want them.

But since it shocked them both immediately, they are now both scared.
