I recently received this portal window air bar and it is really nice. We use this window air bar in our master bedroom. We turn it on at night to help cool off the room, since the summers will be gone soon and fall weather will be approaching we will not be using our air conditioner so this fan will serve its purpose.

It also comes with accessories so if you are someone like me who likes to darken their room with the darkening curtains- this fan is your go-to as it comes with accessories which will help to keep your room dark.

This is the best part of this fan- I used to own window fans in the past but I used to hate them as my room would be so bright and shiny as soon as the sun would rise. Buy this fan- you won’t regret.

Just the other day I came home from work. I parked my car in the garage. I opened the door inside the garage which leads into my kitchen. There was a terrible smell in the kitchen possibly coming from the trash can.

I threw away the trash. I lit a scented candle. Lastly, I turned on this Comfort Zone CZ310R fan. The main purpose of this Comfort Zone CZ310R fan is to sit inside a window; however, the fan also includes feet which can be attached for using the fan on a tabletop.

I placed the fan on a tabletop near my trash can. I used the circulation option which causes the blades on the dual fans to move in opposite directions for improved air distribution throughout the kitchen.

I cannot wait until summer time to install this Comfort Zone Reversible Twin Window Fan to cut down on the use of air conditioning. The instructions are easy to understand. There are two accordion foldouts on either end of the fan so that you can adjust the length to fit your window.

It comes with bug screens in case you don’t have window screens. It is lightweight, compact and full of features. There are three modes. The cool mode brings air in. The exhaust mode blows air out. The circulate mode allows one fan to be in the cool mode and the other to be in exhaust mode.

The fan has three motor speeds (low, medium, and high velocity) and it is very quiet. What I like most is that this fan has a remote control.

Actually bought two of these — one for the living room and the other for the bedroom. Actually had an earlier version of this fan but offered them to a family member when I moved because my new place had central air.

Never thought that I could use them instead of the AC, so I bought these when I discovered my error. Only thing I’m not real pleased with is the knobs for the controls — they’re kind of small and hard to turn — but these fans are economical, easy to install and take out, so I recommend them to everyone!.

Pros: 3-speed intake/outtake. Easy to turn/see knobs. Large 9-inch dual fans. Side extended lips to secure snuggly against window edge and window frame. Relatively quiet. Accurate, adjustable thermostat.

All this for a modest price. Cons: Couldn’t find a single one.

SUMMARY: 5/5 stars – glad I bought it, would enthusiastically recommend it to friends, and would not hesitate to buy one again—–This Lasko model 2155A window fan – also sold as the Air King model 9155 – is a real blessing for me.

I live in the deep South (Georgia) where the oppressive summer heat index (high heat + near-100%-humidity) often reaches into the 130s and above – and I don’t have air conditioning. For me, a large whole-house window fan like this one makes all the difference between comfort and living hell when July and August roll around (it’s July 27th as I write this, and I’m sitting right next to the window with the fan in it).

This is truly a WHOLE-HOUSE window fan, and it costs so much less to operate than an air conditioner. Compared with central A/C, I’m saving over a hundred dollars a month, which is over $600 a year EVERY YEAR.

That’s money better spent elsewhere! With this high-volume fan, I get my whole house cooled, without the $150+ monthly electricity usage of central A/C. This fan paid for itself in the first month. Also, I’ve found that as I’ve gotten used to not having A/C, I enjoy the summers more and I’m not nearly as lethargic and short-tempered when I’m in a place without air conditioning, anywhere from the supermarket parking lot to a cookout.

It all makes me wonder, WHY would I pay $150+ per month and end up so dependent on air conditioning that I can’t be happy enjoying the great outdoors in the summer?! It’s all a question of what your body gets acclimated to.

For the hottest summer nights, you can run a little window A/C unit in your bedroom, and still save a bundle because you can use this fan for the rest of the house instead of having to pay the skyrocketing electrical cost of central A/C.

It’s the right unit for the job, it looks good, and it does a better (and quieter) job that the all-metal models from years past. It’s also very energy-efficient. Of what’s available on the market in 2009, it is the best of the best, hands down, nothing else even comes close.

I have ZERO “buyer’s remorse” about this purchase, and would champion its virtues to anyone considering buying one. A great product!.

When it comes to larger sized window fans, especially ones with the “storm guard” feature that allows you to open and close the window in front of the fan without having to remove and reinstall it, there are not many offerings.

There is the Lasko 2155 and a couple of similar units from Air King. The Lasko 2155 moves a pretty good amount of air, but is a bit loud on the high setting for both intake and exhaust. It is also constructed a bit cheaply: complaints about the flimsy selector knob are indeed true.

In fact,I keep mine set to medium exhaust and plugged into a switchable power strip to turn it on and off just to avoid wear and tear on the setting selector knob. Also, be advised: it does easily accomodate all styles of windows.

If you have newer replacement windows with a grip handle lip that protrudes from the bottom of the window, this lip may not clear the safety cage at the front of the fan blades. I had to set the fan back a couple of inches so the window grip handle cleared and this required me to add wood strips to the window frame so the fan could be properly mounted.

If you have older style windows without the protruding lip at the bottom, it will be easier to mount to the sill and frame. Overall it is a decent fan but you may have to do some above and beyond work to get it to fit depending on your window style.

Even then, it’s not too much trouble, and if no modifications are needed, it is pretty easy to install.

The locks for the side part could be more secure, seems a lil touchy. Took a few mins to get it settled in but no more trouble then any other window fan. It has impressive air flow compared to my old one.

Satisfactory for the bargain price. 4 stars just for those blasted plastic locks. Good deal tho.

I bought a cheap window fan from Home Dep**. Upon opening it, found that it had been used (and not cleaned) and more importantly, the previous owner tried to rewire the plug and thus, only 1 fan worked.

However, I did try it out just to see and the air flow from the fan was not very good. The 657447911487 is outstanding from an air flow standpoint. Right now, it is cooler outside than inside (72 degrees to 81 degrees).

I will pass further judgement on it when it gets to be 88 degrees outside and 97 degrees inside my house. The only issue I see is that the temperature monitor is based solely around the fan – so it might be set at 65 degrees and shut off because within an inch of the fan it has attained 65 degrees.

But 5 feet away it may still be 775 degrees. Understandable and workable by setting the temperature monitor to its lowest setting. Also the temperature monitor only works when the speed is on high. So far, well worth the additional $20!.

Box was in rough shape, and I was a little concerned at first, as it appeared it may have been used once. But after installing it, was more than satisfied with it, and happy I went with an opened box version, for the added savings on the price.

Moves plenty of air, and unlike what I read in other reviews, I did not find it to be noisy compared to any other fan I have owned. If you have larger than 27″ windows, you may want to leave the “knock out” pieces of the shroud in place at first and try it like that.

You can always take them out, but cant put them back in after.

This is a great fan if you rent and can’t install an attic fan. This moves a TON of air and what makes it better than attic fan is you can reverse at night if it’s in your bedroom and have it blow a huge about of fresh air on you all night.

I live in northeast and it brutality hot and I haven’t used my air conditioner yet because of how well this works. I found them for $150. 00 I might pay a little more for another one. That’s right this is so good I’m looking to buy another one.

Again great fan which takes 5 minutes to install.

I loved this fan, but unfortunately, it just wasn’t meant to be. It is very cute, a little darker than the photos suggested, and the perfect look for my vintage styled room, but the reason I wanted a Vornado was because two of my friends had regular ones that I fell in love with.

Unfortunately, I had to return it for two reasons. 1) The white noise wasn’t quite like the other Vornado fans I liked. Its a little quieter, and on the highest setting, there is an underlying frequency that MOST people will not catch but I do.

Not at all bothersome during the day while I’m working, but I do catch it at night while I’m trying to sleep. I can assure you that if you’re not an audio engineer like me, you will not notice it. I just have extremely sensitive hearing.

2) It is the tiniest bit less powerful than the regular Vornado (I compared with my roommate’s). Maybe its just my room shape as I have 12ft high ceilings and almost no circulation in my room when the door is closed.

I hoped this would help, but unless I point the fan directly at myself through the night, I am still hot and stuffy by morning. I will update this once I get a regular Vornado and can compare the night sleep.

I don’t want to discourage anyone else away from this fan. It just wasn’t a good fit for me personally.

I’ll be honest, I bought this fan not because of the brand or reviews- I chose it for it’s look alone. I just received it today and I’m very happy with the look and feel. It’s heavy duty, feels like 10lbs easily and the paint and chrome are gorgeous.

That being said- the fan blade is not metal, it’s black plastic. The fan blade diameter is about 7” so when purchasing this fan, you can’t expect it to put out the same amount of air that a fan with a larger fan blade like a box fan for example.

It moves air but, doesn’t blast my hair back or anything. I did read a lot of reviews on a bunch of different websites before purchasing. There are a good amount of bad reviews saying that the fan stops working but, the Vornado company honored their warranty and sent a new fan.

That is what made me just go ahead and buy the fan finally after looking at it for a couple of months. Obviously I hope my new fan doesn’t break but, at least the company has my back. I’m going to keep the box it came in and leave the receipts in their just in case anything happens.

Anyhoo, I bought this fan to circulate air in a small laundry room in the sweltering summer months and for when the power goes out and we need some air flow in the bedroom that won’t draw too much power from our generator.

So the medium size meets our needs so far and looks beautiful while doing it. I’m giving it 4 stars solely because I have a slight fear that there may be problems with it working in the future from all the reviews on the web.

When the fan arrived i plugged it in and only two fans worked. I took it apart to find the problem. There are two screws holding the fan motor in place. One was missing and the other was not screwed in so i put it all back together properly and at least it works now.

Very poor performance though. Moves very little air. I really expected better from this company.

I have installed four in our home. Half are intake, half are exhaust. Well designed and easy to store. The thermostat works well. There is currently no other product i am aware of with this low profile design.
