20 Best Wind Resistant Patio Umbrella (2023 Updated)

A little over a year ago when — based on size, color, and reviews stressing minimal fading and flexible positioning — I bought 2 tilting patio umbrellas. The umbrellas were used for a few months, then carefully stored inside for the hottest months of the Florida summer.

A few weeks after their first usage this year, the tilting mechanism fell off, taking an internal spring with it. Literally — fell off! There is no way it could have been abused or operated in a manner other than that specified.

The umbrella would then neither tilt nor open and close. Foolishly, in an attempt to match the color of the remaining umbrella, I purchased another one. Once it arrived, it was glaringly obvious how much the first one had faded.

(There doesn’t appear to be a way to attach a photo here. ) In addition, the little interior lights on the new umbrella don’t work, even after the solar device was exposed to the sun for many hours — AND the handle to open and close the umbrella keeps catching when I try to open it fully, making me skeptical that it will be working for long.

I saw plenty of umbrellas for over twice the cost, usually with fewer color options, but many with more LED lights. I chose this BCP umbrella because it was cheaper and I really wanted the green to go with my patio furniture.

I was worried that the small number of LEDs would not provide enough light. Fear not! This thing puts out plenty of light to see by, ALL NIGHT LONG! I have had the umbrella for almost a month, use it just about nightly, and have NEVER had the battery run out on me.

Every day at the end of the night I have to turn the lights off when I head in, because they are still going strong after hours and hours of use. I also have mason jar solar lights and those things die after like 2 hours.

Not this umbrella! I haven’t figured out the maximum use time after a full charge but it is LONG. The on/off button is also easy to find and use. It is a little bright red switch right above the crank handle on the umbrella pole, a bit over halfway up.

This thing is sturdy and well-built, too. I use it in one of the BCP umbrella stands, which I do NOT recommend because it blows over, but due to that fact, the fact that I have had this lovely umbrella sadly blown over on me twice now, I can tell you it is hardy and seems like it will last a long time.

The solar panel and rechargeable battery sit at the top of the umbrella, and I was worried it could have been damaged by the umbrella crashing down since there is nothing around it to protect it, but it wasn’t harmed at all and is still charging the little LED fairy lights beautifully.

Assembly of said solar panel, and the whole umbrella in fact, was painless. Screw 2 poles together, solar panel has one little cord that plugs into the top and then the whole thing just slides right in (or screws in, or snaps, I can’t recall but it was easy).

The hardest part is getting the umbrella out of the box. Once all the pieces are unpacked, your umbrella will be ready to go in about 3 minutes. Just remember to get a good base! If you have never had a patio umbrella before, don’t forget that umbrellas and bases are sold separately because some people have tables for them, others use them stand-alone, and that changes what kind of base it wants.

Keep in mind that umbrella pole diameters can vary so check that the stand’s dimensions are compatible. As I said, I got a BCP base, which I do NOT recommend. It’s the 29lb 18 inch round umbrella base stand and IT BLOWS OVER! Maybe the BCP fillable stands are sturdier.

I did not want to have to mess around with filling it with water or finding a place to get sand, so I went the weighted route. If I had it to do over, I would probably get the fillable one and find a place to buy sand, because I think those are heavier.

We actually bought three of these initially, then ordered another after seeing the quality of the first three. They’re nice. It’s a 10 second, simple process to connect the solar panel wire to the lights.

The pole is sturdy, the fully opened umbrella is 10’, it was easy to crank open and close. The only awkward thing is reaching up into the closed umbrella to get to the crank handle due to the umbrella’s long ribs/arms and the location of the crank handle.

This is unavoidable because of the size of the umbrella canopy. Free, fast shipping, solar lights, and all four for $300. That’s a good deal.

I love this umbrella. The color is exactly as described; cobalt blue & the quality for the price is great. One thing I do not love however, is that it needs to be plugged in for the lights to work. Given this is an outdoor umbrella, having an electrical outlet nearby could be problematic.

Extension cords & trip hazards to name a few. This detail should be part of the description, not necessarily in a review to allow for full disclosure.

I have had this outside for two weeks. It has already faded so badly it is embarrassing. I called customer service and was told I had to take it back to the store because I didn’t have the original box or packing slip.

Just what I want to do, drag a big, awkward, heavy umbrella in my small car to Target and stand in line. I was also told to print a receipt online. When I try to print the receipt online it tells me will not print because it has to be returned via UPS.

Not an option because do I not have a box, but I’d rather take this piece of junk to Target than I would stand in the hours long lines at UPS. Guess it is a non-issue now, apparently I can’t return it at all.

I had been waiting to purchase a new umbrella for at least a year, and thought I had finally found the perfect one! If something is meant for outside use, it should be made as such. VERY disappointed and unhappy that I apparently just “out” the money.

Expected much more from Target.

We used this umbrella for 3 mos this summer and it held up well. Hand crank reel to go up and town. The slider button that you have to squeeze and pull down to get it to tilt is kind of hard to slide, but thats ok – not a deal breaker.

Its average size but wish we got one a little larger as its sometimes hard for 2 of 4 seats to get shade at one time. Design is pretty. A nice color. It’s “rust” like the description says, maybe a little lighter than what I envision as “rust”.

It’s definitely not jack o lantern orange. Pole is dark brown.

I have been using this for a year now in the northeast. It was a perfect fit for my small balcony. Just large enough to cover 2 small chairs and a tiny table. The blue canapy is vibrant and has not faded after a year of heavy use.

I also don’t see any signs of rust on the pole or spokes after a year in the wind, snow and rain. Please note that this is a sun umbrella. While it keeps off some snow and rain, it is not waterproof.

Being waterproof would have made this absolutely perfect.

Love the half- size of this. Works great and has been holding up well during some pretty rainy and windy months. I don’t open and close often (usually just leave it one way or the other for a while) but the crank works.

Fabric has been fully exposed to the wind and still looks pretty good. Only taking off one star as the base isn’t quite as sturdy as Id like (but certainly not flimsy) and I’ve had some trouble getting the umbrella pole to fit the base notch securely.

Even still, it only got blown over once (it was up against a wall so it didn’t completely hit the ground) and that was during a pretty windy storm, so good quality, just not great.

I bought several of these to place over shade plants in the Tx heat. I stuck them in the ground and lean them against the brick wall. I tied them in place with a screw it the top for winds and they did the job for two months of hot 110 degrees with the brick covered the plants cooled off closest to wall and all were shaded with the three.

Looked very good like New Orleans and I used off white for some light to filter.

We love this umbrella, especially the vented top. However, whenever there is a high wind, which we often get up on the hill we live on, we have to put it down. After two years the canopy has torn, and we need to replace it.

I wish they had offered the cover back then, which I now would recommend purchasing to protect it. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful, functional umbrella.

Product was shipped nearly assembled. It had one minor scratch. The construction was fairly robust. I saw evidence of rust on the base after a few weeks so avoid sliding on concrete. The fabric is red in color and makes a good accent to our beige patio set.

The material dries quickly. We do not leave the umbrella open too often since it has been a windy season. It handles a 30 mph wind ok. The cover is tan and has a built in rod to ease the covering.

Good umbrella. Very versatile. Two problems: 1) hard to crank up particularly for my wife; 2) VERY unstable unless weighted down with optional weight or 16” floor tiles. Alternatively, it could be attached to deck which, of course, limits its versatility.

We used floor tiles which fit neatly in the base that comes with the umbrella. We also attached wheels to be able to move it around more easily.

Bought this umbrella in early spring 2020 and was able to use throughout the summer. Good timing because we were home quite a bit. Very sturdy, stood up to a little breeze. Works effortlessly. The lights are a nice little bonus to add some ambiance but not very bright and we liked that solar powered so no bulbs.

Update: Two years later, no damages and still working great!.

It was pretty awesome. for half a year. Bought it last summer & the lights were a nice touch (although we only really used them once or twice). Stored it in the garage at the end of the season & pulled it out this past weekend to put on the deck.

It’s FADED! SO STUPID FADED! Didn’t realize how bad it was till I was ready to use again this year & it’s crazy how bad it looked! Very disappointed that I was really only able to use it for a single season.

This was supposed to be tan, like the picture, but “tan” is more of a brown that I don’t particularly like. I kept it because I really needed it now and couldn’t wait for a return and reorder in a different color.

The construction is acceptable for the price. I don’t like the shiny, ugly crank that is that cheap plastic chrome color while everything else is black. There is a pin at the top but no hole to put it through so I don’t get the point.

Also, the plastic that encases the crank does not sit flush with itself like the other umbrella that I have. It overlaps and has a sharp edge. I sliced my thumb trying to open it in a hurry when just the edge of my thumb got caught between the crank and the plastic.

So I can’t let my preschooler open or close this one. All that said, it does it’s job and makes my patio livable. I have a white wall around my patio that reflects the sun and it made the shade from my 9′ market umbrella useless.

This one both shades the chairs and blocks the sun from that wall. No more blinding glare. Lowers the temperature at least ten degrees. So it’s kind of ugly because of the color and the crank handle, but very functional.

Should have bought the navy color from a different seller I had my eye on.

Great umbrella. Great led light feature. Bad assembly instructions though. In German so I couldn’t understand what exactly I was supposed to do lol. One issue though. The on off switch was reversed so I left it turned on all day on the first day.

Not a deal breaker but you couldn’t tell until nighttime came. I’ve seen people say the solar panel wasn’t included but I found mine was hidden in a small styrofoam package in the very bottom of the box.

It was very easy to miss because it looked like part of the box that supported the umbrella. It would help if something told you where to look so people don’t accidentally throw it away thinking it isn’t included or missing.

Assembly was pretty easy. Plug the solar panel in the top then twist it on. Put the bar onto the halfway point on the umbrella then place it into a stand. I so far find myself enjoying this umbrella.

Hopefully it will last a good long time.

This arrived quickly and well packaged. Literally the simplest assembly ever! There were only 4 screws and the rest pretty much just popped in place. I had it assembled within minutes. The end result is amazing! I have a 15×15 deck and this is PERFECT for it! It has a crank to raise and lower it and will tie shut when not in use.

Simple base with sandbags for weight. It has a frame around the sandbags to keep them in place and to provide a nice appearance. Very sturdy well made umbrella.

Using as table umbrella. Very nice shade of red and comes with a cover for storing. Easy to put together. My old umbrellas were wooden and were much heavier. These are hollow metal and lighter. Definitely keep these closed when not in use in case of winds.

The solar lights nice extra and bright. We’ve had them for a few weeks now and no complaints. Delivered on time and in good condition.

This umbrella is so well made, it really blocks the sun and the lights are perfect for an evening on our patio. I have a southern exposure so I have sun all day long in a hot sunny state. This is bigger than my last umbrella and really provides the shade I need.

We love this umbrella. It provides perfect shade and solar lighting at the touch of a switch. The bright red color compliments our patio perfectly and the crank up and down and tilt action is easily done by one person.

Very quality built.

I like the size of the umbrella and the color of the fabric (Terrace Sequoia). It provides nice shade. I like that it is a crank and auto-tilt although a bit difficult to crank as you get close to fully open.

What I don’t like is that it doesn’t appear to be as sturdy as it should; it waves back and forth in the slightest breeze. Since I was able to apply a coupon that reduced the cost, I can live with it.

Update 6/17/22 I hate this umbrella. I now would rate it 1 star. As mentioned before, the pole is not sturdy. Additionally, the umbrella ribs do not stay in the “pockets” of the umbrella fabric. The rubber tips on the end of the rib stays in the ‘pocket’ so you have to dig it out and put it back on the end before re-inserting the rib when you try to open the umbrella.

The fabric vents don’t always properly overlap when opening so that is something else that needs to be adjusted. When the umbrella is closed, the straps to secure it are not in the middle of the umbrella ribs but near the tips and the straps are not long enough.

This makes it very difficult to secure the umbrella when not in use.

I was trying to get close to blue Sunbrella cushions that I have, and it was as close to a perfect match as possible. The umbrella is sturdy, put together very well. The crank is easy to operate to open it, and the collar-tilt function is very nice and works very well.

I don’t even have to leave my chaise lounge to operate it. I’m hoping for many years of enjoyment out of it. Originally I wanted a smaller 7. 5′ umbrella, but couldn’t find one anywhere with tilt, everyone was out of stock.

But I’m glad I ended up with the 9′ size, it looks very nice and isn’t too big at all.

This is the 2nd of these that I’ve bought from Houzz. Sunbrella makes the best products available, and the Houzz price was unbeatable! Although I take it down in severe weather, It is exposed to S. FL sun year-round.

After 5 years the colors stayed true. (I use an anti-mildew spray occasionally, is does not harm the fabric). The fabric does become a bit fragile after 5 years of constant use, and the seams were beginning to tear.

I felt lucky to find my “Saville Seaside” pattern at such a bargain price!.

I ordered this patio umbrella just over a month ago. First thing I noticed was that it doesn’t come with a tie to tie it closed when the umbrella is down, so I was using a piece of rope. Then within 3 weeks the umbrella started tilting in a lopsided way on one side because the mechanism at the top was starting to come apart.

My husband tried to fix it but wasn’t very successful. Now, all the arms of the umbrella have come out of the piece at the top of the pole. I will be returning this umbrella for a full refund. Lesson learned, spend a bit more money for better quality.

The upper half of the umbrella pole basically fell apart; there’s a screw that’s threaded through the upper pole section that stripped and backed out AND the push button mechanism that allows umbrella pole to tilt sprung away from the pole.

Both of these failures caused the umbrella pole to fail and the umbrella fell upside down still attached to the string cords however. I’m not sure how much I paid for this but whatever the amount was, it was still too much! Skip it and buy better quality.

This is a great umbrella for the price. I ordered a new one this year as I didn’t put our previous one of 2 years up for the winter. Should have, it was still in great shape, a little beat up but for the cost I ordered a new one.

The color is what we really like and it did not fade even through a couple summer/ winters. Very sturdy and didn’t really fade even though it’s not Sunbrella. The price is absolutely fantastic for the quality.

In my opinion this product represents excellent value for money and with the additional discount applicable on the day, it was exceptional. It was delivered the next day. It is quite heavy with the weight towards the one end with the canopy which made it a little difficult to locate through the hole in the centre of the table and into the base I had below.

It’s easier if you have help from another person to do this. The only criticism I have is the the thread on the bottom pole which screws into the too is quite fine and is easily crossed threaded. It also has to be aligned accurately for the threaded end to engage, so needed a bit of patience.

It remains to be seen how robust the umbrella is over a period of time but for the money it’s well worth the risk.

The app was very easy to use and a code was provided for 12% off first purchase which was a nice surprise. I ordered a large parasol which was dispatched the following day even though it was a bank holiday weekend.

Parasol arrived within a few days via Yodel who kept me informed of delivery time and provided a great service. Parasol is amazing, it is very good quality and is a very good size. It kept us dry during a rain and hail storm! Parasol is heavy so I bought a 36kg base for it which keeps it in place even when windy.

Would highly recommend both parasol and Aosom and will definitely be buying from Aosom again.

Quick delivery. Easy to put together but required three people to put it through the hole in my patio table. It is too heavy for one person to manage. Just note that the table needs to be able to take a 2″ diameter pole.

Comes with sandbags but no sand. I didn’t use the sandbags. I purchased two sealed 18kg bags of play sand and dropped the bags into the base as is. There is a cover on the base so all is good. No one sees the sandbags.

One small issue: I needed to even out the draw cable so that it opened evenly. No big deal. I just tugged on one side until both sides opened evenly. Time will tell if it is durable. I will need help in taking it down for the winter, so just be prepared that it is big and heavy.

So far it looks and works just like it is described here. Overall, a four-star. If it lasts a few seasons, I would then probably rate it higher but so far the out of the box experience is OK.

Love It! Love It! Love It! It’s a great product for a reasonable price. Gives plenty of shade on my 12×6 deck, PLUS now I can sit outside while it’s raining too! There are some things shoppers should know about this huge hanging patio umbrella.

— 1st — Pay attention to the box contents when unpacking the umbrella. The umbrella section might be shipped undocked from the hinged collar and you will see a white cable. Do NOT allow that cable to get twisted or crimped.

Keep it straight by slightly pulling a little excess cable through the hinged part of the collar and dock the umbrella back into the collar. The spring-loaded fasteners will make a nice crisp snapping sound indicating the umbrella and cable are secure and ready for further setup.

— 2nd — The instructions may be wrong. The illustration showing the bottom base pole being mounted to the T-cross may show the adjustment knobs oriented to the Left. This is incorrect! The top pole cannot seat into the base pole properly like that.

So, the knobs should be oriented to face the front or back instead. — 3rd — A weighted base package does NOT come with this umbrella, and I don’t see any available on the Belleze website either. So, you might have to be creative at securing the T-cross, which depends on where you will be using the umbrella.

In my case I’m using the umbrella on a wooden deck. My solution was easy. Drill holes into the T-cross where surface meets surface and secure the base with wood screws. Worked great! — If it were concrete, then I would have used anchor bolts into the concrete, maybe 4 or 5 of them.

Or maybe I would build my own sandbox weight with wheels so I could move the umbrella around. — If it were plain ground, then I would have used ground anchor stakes PLUS sand bags. Just some extra ideas.

— 4th — Be aware the hanging umbrella is going to behave like a 10 ft sail in the wind. I’ve seen it rocking, twisting and swaying pretty good on breezy days and it’s still holding together, but I’m folding and tying it down for strong wind.

— 5th — The umbrella only has a basic built-in tie strap. The strap is only for going around the umbrella itself. You may need an additional securing method to tie the umbrella to the pole and make sure it doesn’t swing when down.

The only other solution is to remove the entire top pole / umbrella assembly and bring it indoors, which is no fun, because it’s a heavy and awkward thing. — Overall, if you don’t mind the extra setup procedures, then this is an AWESOME DEAL!.

The umbrella is constructed great but how in the world do you get it to stay in the ground? It’s super top heavy which I expected. Everytime the wind blows it falls over usually on someone. There was nothing included to attach it into the ground.

As I mentioned it’s. fallen over numerous times. I took it down because I’m tired of. being clubbed with it. It must have to be cemented into the. ground. i. dont. remember. reading that before it was purchased.

This is advertised as a freestanding umbrella but it actually has to be anchored and so in order to use it on my brand new deck I have to take it out of the base and bolt it to the side of the deck. I do love the color and I love the span of the shade that it gives but getting it in and out of the base is extremely hard because its very heavy.

You need two people and I dont see how it could be safe even bolted down because it seems so top-heavy. I think it could be designed a little better and when I took the umbrella out of the base again to try to adjust it I ended up catching part of the bottom of the umbrella on the stand and it pulled threads from the umbrella.

It is very awkward and very difficult for one person to use or install.

In recent years, I’ve purchased these umbrellas three separate times at two umbrellas each time, so I currently own 6 of these 10′ diameter, Sunbrella fabric, aluminum pole Finely made umbrellas. The crank and tilt mechanism is built strong and works very well without ever having a problem.

It’s also not heavy to crank so most shouldn’t have any problems raising or lowering it. The two aluminum pole are made from a thicker guage aluminum compared to some of the other outdoor patio umbrellas at this price point or even more expensive.

The support poles in the canopy support system are also of very high quality and aren’t at all like the thin wood or that junk fiberglass that’s on the market now (that they’re trying to say is strong, (they’re Not, it’s a lie, they bend and fold up like chinese paper drink umbrella) The entire umbrella, from its lift system to its fabric (Sunbrella) is Top Notch, First Class.

Don’t waste your money either by falling for the claims that polyester umbrella covering lasts long and has good color retention. It’s the biggest lie. It’s thin like a personal umbrella and will fade out to some ugly color within the first year when your warranty is up.

I’ve seen cheaply made polyester umbrellas on online sites that are smaller than these Sunbrella covered umbrellas for even 50% more, for crap. If you don’t believe me look-up the price per/yd. for the Sunbrella fabric by name that’s listed for the umbrella color you want, then look up the price of polyester by its gsm rating, if it’s even worth selling.

You may be asking why I’m so adamant about poly umbrellas, well it’s because I trusted the online ads, bought four at this price point, a year after I bought my first two Sam’s Club umbrellas, and I was so angry because they all went in the garbage by the end of our five month season here in PA, not even at the extreem exposure of AZ, FL, NV, or CA ultraviolet levels I will ONLY buy items that are made with Sunbrella which are used outdoors, whether it be umbrellas, patio furniture cushions, pillows, awnings, canopies, etc.

Their fabrics stand up to extreme sun exposure without fading or breaking down. The color retention is outstanding. Water just beads off of anything it’s used on. One thing I do though recommend is annually wash your Sunbrella items with the approved cleaner, 303 Multi-Surface Cleaner then followed by 303 Fabric-Protector but NOT 303 Aerospace Protectant, that should be used on all of your outdoor metal and plastic surfaces.

Follow these directions and your Sam’s Club Sunbrella Umbrella will last you. well. I’m at 14 years now with my first two umbrellas and they look like new !! Listen, one last word, these are the best and pretty much the largest size out there at this price.

With COVID most suppliers have more than doubled the price of similar umbrellas but are smaller at only 9′ in diameter and yes, that 1′ makes a difference. The quality of these great umbrellas hasn’t wavered since the first two I bought 14 years ago, I compared them and was pleased to see that they didn’t “cheap out.

Really pleased with this umbrella, bought one similar at Sam’s a few years ago. This one seems to simply be an upgrade to that one. This one is much easier to operate. It was an all day job for my husband to put together and there are times where you definitely need two people.

But in the end well worth it. It’s very sturdy, (filled with sand & water), mechanism for raising & opening works smoothly, base is much improved older version. One thing we wish is that the material was a bit thicker to shade the light a tad more.

But then it would probably be harder to raise/lower/turn if fabric was heavier. Overall we love it!.

I have 6 of these in the cast lagoon, one in cast ash, and this year added 3 in the rainbow stripe to add some contrast and color around our pool area. I love my solids, and they have held up well, especially the cast ash which we’ve had for years and don’t take down in the winter from our raised patio, but for some reason the fabric on all of my new striped ones doesn’t seem as tight as on my solids.

All my solids crank to be good and taut, but the stripe ones are not as tight between the ribs, and they can’t get any tighter because they only go so much before the tilt feature kicks in. They almost sag a little between the ribs.

I’m going to keep an eye on them this season, and may even try replacing them to see if I maybe just got a bad batch? But the colours and pattern are very happy, and I flat out love all my other ones to this point.

Bought this umbrella specifically for the fiberglass ribs. We live in a windy area and these should hold up to the wind better than aluminum (though it’s also important to put it down in high winds).

The pole is stronger and wider than most umbrellas I see in stores. The twist to tilt feature works well, though it can be a bit challenging to get it back straight in order to wind the umbrella back up.

Feels like it’ll hold up over time. The extra money for Sunbrella is always worth it in my mind as it stands up to the FL sun far better than anything else we’ve had. The price varies based on the fabric color, so we went with spa.

The spa color is a light greeny-blue. It’s hard to say if it’s more green than blue, as it’s not really noticeably either. The thread is a light blue, which is clearly different than the fabric. Has ties to hold it close.

The photo below was taken on a gray day, but the color looks pretty accurate.

This was the fourth umbrella I have ordered from Hayneedle. The first two were great products and I had great service. The last two products were California brand umbrellas and both were very cheap made.

This umbrella shows it to be wind resistant with fiberglass rods which will flex instead of bend and break. When I received the umbrella the rods were rectangular aluminum material which will not hold up to the wind.

The pictures did not match the umbrella at all. The piece on top of the pole was different, different cheaper made crank, it tilted in a completely different manner than the picture. The umbrella shown in the picture looks to be a completely different brand umbrella.

I talked to a supervisor and let them know in case they were unaware. They assured me they would take care of it. I have waited four weeks to see if the same pics were still shown. I was not planning on reviewing this product but after my experience I would like people expecting a quality wind resistant umbrella to know before wasting their time and money.

I have received two products from this manufacture on Hayneedle and both of them were totally misrepresented. Because of the products being misrepresented I ended up buying a different brand umbrella from a different site.

We bought a number of these umbrellas for our community pool and they are great! They open and close easily, also the darker pole color w/ “natural” fabric color gives the umbrella a high class look.

The umbrella’s “natural” fabric color is a bit more tan/neutral than white. also one umbrella could not tilt (which is a dial above the open/close crank) and hayneedle’s customer service was excellent handing the return.

Highly recommend the umbrella. I’ve sen the umbrellas blow in the wind and the blow top helps relieve the pressure. also on the cardboard box was a suggestion to keep the box for winter storage. Great idea!.

The last umbrella that I purchased from Pier 1 has the best quality of any umbrella that I have purchased since buying it at least 5 years ago. I’m still completely satisfied with it. I’ve replaced my secondary umbrella from other places several times already so I’m getting a new secondary umbrella that I know I will be satisfied with.

I’ve purchased Outdoor umbrellas from Pier1 before it lasted a long time over 5 years! and it would have probably lasted longer had we closed it before a 30mi wind storm 🙁 The quality is excellent and sturdy worth purchasing it again!.

Acheté car ayant une grande terrasse, ce parasol couvre l’intégralité de mon salon de jardin. Facile à mettre en place, la toile est solide. De même que la structure qui résiste bien au vent. Le support n’est pas livré avec mais j’en ai fait un avec mon ancien support et une grosse bordure béton pour éviter la prise au vent il faut mettre beaucoup de poids.

Parasol mine de rien immense, se déplie facilement, la toile est de qualité (ni pro ni papier), par contre la base de pied est énorme ( 1* en moins), je l’ai donc démonté et mis le pieds dans un seau de sable, bien vérifier la hauteur de la vis de fixation à la base, et la base du plateau de table (73cm), Après une tonnelle détruite par une tempête, je préfère cependant un parasol décalé.

mais celui-ci est facilement transportable et rangeable, sans la base.

This has ended up being really good quality. I got it 6 months ago and it’s looked awesome the whole season. It’s held down by a sand filled base and is in the middle of a metal table set. I always put the umbrella down before night time and it has held up great.

The color hasn’t faded one bit. I am 5’1” and need to stand on a chair to use the tilt feature, but it is really easy to push the button to tilt and un-tilt it. I can open and close it while standing on the ground.

It goes up and down very easily as well. The tilt helps a lot with shade when the sun moves around. It gives a lot of shade to me and my little ones when we’re out playing on the patio. I think it will last a long time! Glad I bought it.

I find this very useful, enabling me to sit out on my patio porch with my baby granddaughter without worrying about the sun rays directly glaring down on myself or grandchild. The build and positioning of the pole and umbrella is perfect for my little patio.

Because of the angle and base of support, it fits securely next to the back patio door, so when I walk outside, I have instant protection against sun or rain. Furthermore, if we sit on a blanket on the grass, I can anchor the base and still have protection against the sun rays or rain if needed.

This was a good investment all around.

I love this umbrella. The size is ideal for my deck. It’s well made using quality materials. Easy to put together. The umbrella also easy to operate. Cantilever slides smoothly and easily screws tight and the crank easily opens the umbrella.

Very satisfied with this item. If ever needed, will buy this particular umbrella again.

Fantastic umbrella for such a low price. Lightweight, easy to put up + down. So convenient that it’s washable also. Fabric is durable.

I bought a Karlso umbrella with exactly the same tilt joint in the stem. It lasted under 6 months and is no longer rigid. Canopy is still immaculate white. Took it back to Ikea today and they didn’t want to know-defective but they still keep making them.

Hope the other reviewers’ umbrella lasts longer than mine has. Seems to be a general problem with this joint in other reviews.

Looks nice with the neutral colour. Easy to put up in patio table. Shade is adequate for our small patio area. Like that it can be tilted.
