IšverstiShow in original languageRecently purchased to upgrade from my 6000w / 8250w generator to support our electric heating if we were to lose power during the winter. Tested the unit today and appears to handle the job much easier than the previous portable generator.

Setup isn’t awful but I do wish the funnel tube to get the oil in that was provided was an inch or two longer to make it easier to pour. Battery placement is a bit annoying to get to. I had two back surgeries so to have to get to the floor level and either snake the negative cable in, even after removing the plate in-front of the battery, took some work.

The manual doesn’t really go over needing to connect the negative terminal. It goes over how to hook up the cables to charge the battery but doesn’t go over the negative terminal in the earlier parts of the setup.

Something I’d like to see added to the manual is perhaps the wrench sizes needed called out, as I can imagine if you don’t hang onto the supplied wrenches that you’d like an easy way to determine the size needed.

(Only time I see a size is for the drain and gap plug). Comes with a double sided screw driver. Don’t see it referenced in the manual and don’t see where it is used/needed. Even with my notes, I would say setup is on average with any other generators.

Output presently seems accurate and able to operate the whole house. Living in a heavily wooded area, we lose power after many storms and the real test will be in the winter in the Northeast.

I bought the dual fuel (propane and gas) XP12000EH, very simple set up and to run. DuroMax has changed the way you buy generators in Florida, before DuroMax you would by a Generac whole house generator for $30,000.

00! No matter what anyone says its $30k! By the time you install the generator, fuel type (natural or propane), labor, concrete pad, transfer switch, etc. BUT, it only does your home; you can take it on the road if needed.

So, what you do in Florida or anyplace you need power. You still install the transfer switch ($500), buy the cord ($125) and a window A/C unit ($300). I paid $940. 74 for my DuroMax XP12000EH generator on Amazon day….

yes Free shipping! So, I do have to go out in the rain before hurricane to plug it in and turn on generator, so my DuroMax powers everything in my house (I have natural gas stove, water heater and dryer), but all lights (which I switched to LED) and refrigerator.

I put the window unit A/C in the main area and directly plug into generator. So all lights and appliances work and my home is cool enough to live in. But, my costs are total like $2000. 00. So what did I do with the other money I saved on this generator? Glad you asked! HAHA.

I bought a trailer and two ATVs, my son and I stay in the trailer that has A/C shower and toilet. That cost me $17000. 00. Which we take my DuroMax generator on the road to power the trailer when we go ATVing!! So, for like $19k I am comfortable in my home during power outages and get to spend quality fun times with my son.

We were camping and this generator was so powerful the people next to us had an issue with their Honda generator, I just told them to plug into mine, and my generator powered both with no issue! So yes, the Generac turns on by its self during a power outage.

But, I don’t mind walking to my DuroMax generator in the rain to turn a key to start it and save $28,000. 00! Just saying I think my way is much better!!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have had this generator for several years, Thankfully i have only had to use it a few times as a backup power, in the PacNW we really don’t get very many power outages however during an unprecedented ice storm, in the last few years the power was out for almost two weeks.

I had this generator and being a dual fuel, running on propane. very clean and no worries about fuel going bad. This not only powered up my RV it also powered up my neighbors, about 10 of them all around me.

we had power, lights, heat, TV, all the amenities that are needed (ok the tv isn’t needed). The power wasn’t plentiful and there were only a few blips, mostly when someone would turn on more heaters.

however the 12,000 watts handled it with ease a bit of a flicker in the lights but everything kept going. Would shut off once a day to check the oil and change the 10 gallon propane tank (always had gasoline as a backup, but didn’t put any in the tank)The unit was running at about 3/4 load.

Gladly the outage was recovered from and the good ole generator had a oil change, spark plugs and then stored away for the next time. Great generator.

I received this unit today and was excited to start it up for break in and testing. Initially the unit would not start on the gas option after two hours of trying. As I continued to troubleshoot and eliminate root causes, I switched over to propane and it fired right up.

Thus, I had a gas issue but that’s all that I knew. I went through all of the troubleshooting suggestions but nothing worked. Finally I decided to remove the small solenoid on the bottom if the carburetor and found my issue.

It poured gas as I was removing it and upon full removal I noticed the small needle valve was slightly stuck. After a few gentle pushes with my finger, I then remounted it and it fired up as expected.

I then ran it for about 30 minutes to clear out any gunk in the fuel system. I suspect it was factory fired but not with quality fuel which left some gummy residiue, and caused the small needle valve to stick.

The corrective action is not for the general consumer with limited mechanical skills, nor should they be required. Factory testing should also include fuel or cleaning options that would allow the purchasing consumer the ability to start with minimum effort and instructions just like with the propane option.

Looks like a fantastic unit and trust that it will serve my purpose when needed so overall I gave it a 4 rating for now. Without the gas starting issues, I would have rated it a 5 based on apperance and overall construction.

It is a bit heavy which makes it difficult to transport on uneven surfaces (e. g. gravel, dirt, etc. ).

I bought this generator at the end of August 2021 so I would be prepared in case we had another Snow-mageddon here in Texas. I followed the instructions for assembly and starting but the generator would not keep running for much more than a minute.

I then got Covid and was delayed until the end of September before I could try to see what was wrong. I contacted customer service and was sent parts. I was able to install one of the parts but had to take the generator in for repair because my many back surgeries made it impossible to bend enough to install the part.

I had to rent a trailer twice to get the generator to and from service but finally things were working as expected. I have switched to no-ethanol gas and that has been working much more reliably than regular gas with fuel stabilizer.

This unit runs louder than I expected at 92 dB close by. So far my neighbors have not complained. I got this particular model so I could use gasoline or propane. The remote start is a nice accessory.

I haven’t tried to start this with the pull cord so I don’t know how easy that would be. I tried to connect my furnace to the 15 amp outlets but, apparently, my furnace pulls 15. 1 amps so that always tripped the circuit breaker.

At least I know that this has good self-protection from overloads. I solved this issue by getting a splitter for the 30 amp outlet since I am not using this for a whole house generator. Customer service tried, but a seventy year old with a bad back isn’t able to lug around a two hundred pound generator for service like I could many years ago so I hope the factory testing catches more issues before shipping now.

Bought this new 7500 DFc from Home Depot to be used as a backup generator for hurricanes in our area. Assembled the generator as described, fully charged the battery, put in 5 gallons of fresh gas and followed instructions to start the generator.

Generator turns over but refused to start. Double checked off/on switch, fuel off/on switch choke, still no go. Ran the battery dead on starting. Recharged the battery overnight and tried hooking the generator up to propane.

This time it started but will not restart on propane if shut down. Waited another day and the generator started up again on propane. While running on propane tried switching to gas mode, but the generator immediately died and would not restart on propane.

I had a Westinghouse 5500 generator before and it was super reliable. I’ve called Westinghouse customer service twice with no resolution. I hope they will honor their 3 year warranty. I will update this post accordingly.

This item is good, however it would have been so much easier to assemble, if it had included the assembly instructions. We had to look up instructions online to even get the general idea. When requested, I was sent the wiring diagram, but not sent the users manual or assembly instructions.

overall though, it appears to be well built and functional. we have not finished assembling it entirely.

Wind turbine don’t match the description. It says diameter is 1. 35m when in reality its 1. 15m. Its also impossible for 1. 15m wing span to achieve anywhere near 500w. During 20days its generated only 0.

Finally there is a solar generator I have enough confidence in to purchase! So far, so good. Natures Generator is very easy to set up and use, even for someone like me who has no mechanical skills. A strong selling point is that you can easily add more solar panels and pods if more power is needed.

There is also a small wind turbine available that can be plugged into the generator as a power source. That is exactly what I was looking for: this generator charges with the sun, with wind, and by plugging it in to regular household current.

Then just plug in your small appliances and usb cords. I appreciate the fact that you can check the level of charge and the amount of power being used. Add that the generator is on wheels so it can be moved and it is exactly what I have been looking for!.

Generator arrived the day before fully charged. Hurricane hit, plugged in my fridge and a large freezer and a small chest freezer. Woke up around 8am to my neighbors all cranking up their gas generators.

I did not even make the effort to start my larger gas generator because the Nature’s best was still at 80% plus. Power came back up at 4:30 pm. No sun, still had 40% power left. Unit in my house, didn’t have to worry about theft, CO2 fuel.

Left me get all the wood off my windows, clean up debris. As I add pods I fully expect to get the full storage I need. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO MY FRIENDS AND ANYONE READING THIS. GERRYO.

Thank you Benjamin and Nate for always being there for us. it seems nature’s generator knows how to treat their customers We bought our nature’s generator about a year ago. after the hurricane Erma came through FL about 4 yrs ago.

We had to live with out power for 32 days. so we saved to buy a solar generator. so we would not have to go out and buy gas. We have also been buying battery operated things for our home like a electric lawn mower tree trimmers blowers and a little battery inverters with 5 hour battery.

generator can charge all of the batteries. I am on oxygen I have 2- 5 hour batteries that can be charged from my nature’s generator with in a few hours. I can run my panda washer and dryer on air puff for free energy.

we are also watching tv with Roko & A fan every day on the generator as I charge other things when need. I turn it off when I go to bed and turn it on in the morning and it still has a lot of charge left from the day before.

I know it is mostly for camping but I use it every day to lower my electric bill we are so happy with our platinum nature’s generator it came with the 2 fifty foot cords and the connecters with 3 100 watt panels we did buy another panel.

and hope to add as time goes by. Just wanted to share this with others who might be looking for the same thing. The company has helped me with any question I have had. that gives me comfort to know they are only a phone call away.

Powerhead1952 you need to read the Listing, most of us that use Green power store the power in 12 Volt Batteries, then use an Inverter to get 110 VAC, I use a 5000 Watt Inverter for Power, and Have Solar and Wind to charge them, this works out good, although it does not generate as much power as my solar array.

but during a storm, with the wind, it’s still working sun or no sun, where the solar cells only generate power during the day. Thinking about getting another to generate even more power!.

I have had one of these hooked up at my hunting camp and because I only have it up about 25′. So in the winter i very seldom had to charge my battery’s. During the summer when the leaves are on the trees, at this hight, I have to charge my battery’s at least once a week with a generator.

I am moving into an off grid area and cant wait to add my windmiill to this new project.

Squeaks to wake the dead!!! Even after additional lubrication. Maybe if you hate your neighbors. Would most likely drive Zombies away so there is that. Trying to find someone to lubricate or replace the three turbine vents is difficult at best.

The Turbines (5) were installed by the Roofing Co. and the turbines all wobbble and and are of Very Light material. They are difficult to balance and the wind does not turn all the turbines the way they should.

The Roofing Co. will Replace all Five ( 5 ) in the spring, as they will be covered for the winter. They highly recommended Whirlybird Turbine, which I agreed to have them come back in the spring when the covers are taken off and replace them.

I will not be able to return them as they are installed and sealed with the Plastic tar material. They will make an adjustment on the new ones on the price in 2019. Thank you. Fred.

I’ve had This Thing for more than a month. When I first got it. Took it out of the box carefully and Read all the paperwork (Quick Start Guide; and then the manual) it was almost fully charged, so I plugged into the wall with power cord provided and plugged in my box fan after the power meter read full 6 bars.

I unplugged the generator from the wall and Ran my Fan practically all day (There was about 2 bars left of power) so I plugged it back into the wall. And unplugged my Fan. Because I have read a lot of the reviews about people having trouble with it changing.

So that’s why I unplugged anything that would be using power. It charged without a problem. But when I tried to use my box fan the fan would not work. I noticed that the switch above the 115 receptacles was RED.

So I remembered in the manual it says to turn off the switch and wait 5-10 seconds and turn it back on. It Turned Green & Back to Red. I called the Vendor and they told me I had to drain the generator completely.

Okay I said but I only had use of the four USB PORTS AND it took more than a week to drain it all the way down until it turned off. (like they told me to do) and I proceeded to Recharge the generator from my wall outlet from my house.

Let it finish and The same problem occurred. I drained it again and the same problem. I think I need to call them back for a Replacement. IDK What else to do. There’s nothing in the manual for this type of problem.

Came fully charged as stated. I used it 4 mornings to make a pot of Mr. Coffee. Used a drill, not long, just to make 2 starter holes in a wooden frame. Ran the vacuum just long enough to quickly vacuum one room.

It was down to one bar of six for power then, so recharged it with the ac cord, which took 2 hours and 20 minutes to get back to full charge. I have not recharged it with the solar panels yet but looked easy enough to do.

Then I put it in storage. Manual says to charge it every 3 to 6 months. it is designed to work for over 2500 full discharge and charge cycles. I will be checking at 3 months and intermittently thereafter, to see how long it holds a charge without use.

Next time it needs a charge I will try the solar panels that come with a long cord so solar panels can be outside and generator can be in the house. The manual says this should take 3. 5 to 4. 5 hrs in direct sunlight and you can extend the battery life by leaving it charging while using.

It just gives me such peace of mind to have this generator. It won’t run your whole household, but it sure will be a help in a power outage. It was easy to use and not to heavy for this 64 year old lady to move around! Very happy with the product!.

I purchased this generator for my parents of which one is on oxygen 24/7 They are elderly and unable to carry large containers of gasoline required for a conventional generator plus they are loud and really a hassle to keep going.

What if there is no gasoline to be found?? All they have to do is turn the unit on and plug the oxygen concentrator into it. Portable bottles of O2 do not last long because my Dad’a setting is fairly high.

My Mom will be able to plug in the solar panel without difficulty to recharge the unit. It is really easy to set up. It gives both me and my parents great peace of mind to know in case of an electrical outage they are prepared.

We are entering hurricane season and usually have one or two major storms a year here in North Carolina with power outages. I do not want the stress of relying on the linemen to fix the downed lines in their area so he can breathe easier.

Please, if you have elderly parents dependent on you for their needs do not hesitate to get this. I already sleep better just knowing they will have their met.

So I have the 12,00 EH model for about 3 years now does what it’s supposed too do and backup my power up when needed. A few tips on break-in pull plug and drop table spoon of oil in and pull cord a few times so no dry start.

Best to use Marvel Mystery oil and keep it on hand as I will later explain. Ok now on break oil use a non- synthetic four cycle oil run for a hour then change. Next repeat last step but run for two hours with a load on it then change oil agin.

Now use a four cycle synthetic oil, tip stick with four cycle engine oil as they are formulated just for these motors unlike car oil. Amzoil and Honda are the best ones to use. If you are going to use gas, non- ethanol will save your carb in the long run, but if you are using just regular gas before cutting off gas turn cutoff valve to off and run out gas in line and then use drain screw on carb bowel to drain gas out carburetor before storing! On storage mode to keep motor in good shape, over long periods moisture will creep into motors, to stop this from happening, once agin pull plug and drop in a tablespoon of Marvel Mystery oil then pull cord 2-3 times then put plug back in.

I usually fire mine up about once every 45 days. Then pull my plug and add M. M oil to store it with on each time unit is to be stored!.

I received my DuroMax XP13000EH generator in a timely manner and in very good shipping condition. Very easy to assemble the wheels, handles and rear stand supports. After connection of the battery and adding the oil, I used a propane tank to initially start it up.

After second cranking cycle it started up and ran great, allowing it to run with no load for about 1 hour on LP. I then did use the 50amp 240v rec. and plugged into my house panel and simulated a power outage and put a load onto the generator while running on the LP, it ran great.

By turning off breakers and load sheading unwanted loads (2- heat pumps, water heater, stove, washer, dryer) I was able to run a well pump, 2 refrigerators, upright freezer, wood stove blower, all lights (mostly LED) and still had some room left over for other small items.

I did this for about 2 hours on a 20lb LP tank and about 1 hour on gas and had no problems. The biggest decision behind this model was the capability of being able to use LP versus gasoline but then having the ability of 2 sources, and all the loads that I needed to keep energized in the event of a long power outage.

I love my XP13000EH generator. I only use it with propane but it has no problem running my entire 1850 square foot home. I had an electrician handle the correct installation & installed several CO2 alarms just to be on safe side.

The generator starts up every time with no issues. I will admit I have not turned on every appliance to see how it did. Having the refrigerator/freezer, ac, coffee pot, stove, microwave, television, and lights is more than enough plus hot water.

Laundry can wait in my book to when the power returns. I sleep comfortably knowing this generator is in my garage. The noise level is not bad. I usually have enough juice for my neighbor to run a 115 extension cord to their house.

And the 3 year warranty makes it even a better deal. I am now looking to buy the 15000 in addition to the one I have as an upgrade and keeping the 13000 as a back up or to loan to a neighbor in case of a storm.

I really love these generators.

I’ve had this turbine for over a year now and have never seen it put out more than 62 watts. This is about 5 amps. It goes into over speed shutdown at between 18 to 20 mph wind speed. On average it only puts out about 30 watts equal to 2.

5 charging amps. About the amount of a trickle charger. I would not recommend this product.
