20 Best Wigs That Look Real (2023 Updated)

Hairpiece unwearable due to noxious fumes & I was not refunded my total amount. Immediately after receiving my order I spoken with customer service and informed them that the product was unwearable. I was not simply returning it because I didn’t like the style, cut or color.

It was due to the noxious fumes, which was confirmed by the customer service representative, from the treatment it received after arriving at the warehouse. I have purchased pieces in the past, but am now wondering if I will again or if I would ever recommend your company to anyone else.

Not only because of the noxious fumes, which may or may not happen again, but also because if I would need to return another item due to it being damaged & unwearable, which is beyond my control, your company will withhold money and not give me my full refund.

Please also consider many of your customers, like myself, suffer with alopecia or other medical conditions and use your products to improve our self esteem and quality of life. We trust you with our most private purchases, which in my case is a major investment.

As I’m here writing this, it gives me anxiety that I still do not have a proper hairpiece and now I don’t even feel confident about where to start to find one. It may not seem like much to you, but for people like me, it effects my daily life.

I feel I should have been refunded my full amount, but now I have an even larger dilemma then $10. Where do I go now? Thank you for this opportunity to express my experience.

I loved Muse when I first received it. I loved the honey pecan color, and I think Raquel Welch synthetic fiber colors are so much better than what’s available in their heat friendly wigs. (The heat friendly line lacks nice light brown colors with cool highlights.

There are too many red, dark roots, and bold chunky highlights. ) But Muse does not look like the picture. It appears much shorter and matronly. It’s a nice enough wig, but I’m not crazy about it. The wig cap was too roomy and poofed up on my heat.

I then discovered that my head measurements are petite average and that Muse was probably too large for me. Since it’s a hand-tied cap, there is no way to make it smaller. I kept it and wear it to do errands.

The fiber is stiff and does not move as well as my recently purchased Ellen Wille wig with synthetic fiber.

I just can’t say enough about my High Fashion Wig by Raquel Welch! Wig Studio 1 is an amazing place, with an amazing staff! I had a virtual consultation with Christi McDaniel, she was so sweet and so informative.

She answered all of my questions and concerns, and gave me all of the facts and information I needed to make my decision. High fashion is the closest thing to my natural hair. The pinnacle cap, Remy Human Hair, French Drawn double mono top and lace front, had all of the “Bells and Whistles” I was looking for in one wig.

I was very pleased with my purchase. I have to admit that I was a little worried when I initially put the wig on. But I went back and watched the YouTube video reviews of “Nuna” which reminded me why I bought this particular wig in the first place.

Without the YouTube reviews I would not have known how versatile “Nuna” could be. I plan on buying a couple more.

This is the second Raquel Welch human hair wig I have purchased and have been very disappointed in the craftsmanship. Again with this wig the ear tab is not centered and you cannot close it to help secure the wig.

I can’t understand why they charge so much for these wigs it do not have a good standard to assure that good quality is leaving their factory. As far as the color of the wig is what I was looking for.

It is the density what I was looking for. I did have to work with a hairdresser to get the bangs the way I wanted it. I am requesting to discuss this with Wigstudio1 because I would like a exchange. The wig slips the left ear tab was not made like the right ear tab there is not enough bend in the middle that they put in it so it just flips out very very disappointed that they can get away with charging so much for a human hair wig and not have a higher standard of quality.

Just received my wig in the mail today. It was nicely packaged. It did have a chemical smell which disappeared after a few minutes. The hair is soft, and I really like the texture. It is exactly what I wanted! It is also light and not heavy like some wigs are.

Looking forward to seeing how durable it will be over time! Right now, I am really satisfied. Depending on what you like, this is a must buy! Thanks!!.

I absolutely love this wig. The hair is so soft and bouncy. If youre expecting to just take it out the box and go youll be disappointed. Im no professional so I didnt bleach my knots. I just used foundation to make the lace look more natural.

I also cut my own baby hairs into the wig. Ive seen better but I did what I could do. Ill defin buy from this seller again.

I love this wig! I am in my sixties with thinning hair. When this wig arrived I Thinned it out and bleached it with bleach powder for 30 minutes to get the shade that I wanted. I didn’t add color to it because it came out perfect with just the bleach.

I cut it in a bob style. I am very happy with the outcome. This is a very comfortable wig and easy to style. I can straighten it or leave it curly.

This is to correct the review I just did on 2/02/22. I didn’t click on the five stars so I don’t know how that happened! It took putting clips on the bangs for a couple of weeks with some product before they started to respond.

The top is flat with no movement and so far I haven’t had much luck trying to get some separation or movement in it. The blonde color is perfect! 22-1001-R8. The back is also cute but if I can’t do anything with the top, it will be a loss.

This is not a heat defiant fiber but if anyone can tell me how to get some shape and movement on the top, so it isn’t completely flat, I think it would be a really cute wig on. I’m a petite/average and there is some bag in the cap so not a perfect fit for me.

I wish the bangs were swept and light. It was more a layered blunt bang. The hair was very soft and the permatease is minimal. I liked Lasting Impression better even though it had permatease all over since the look mimicked my own hair.

The hair in the front was easy to tame and didn’t fall in my face either. Can’t wait to see Fashion Staple by Gabor next incase I want a longer look that I can custom trim. It looks like a longer version of Lasting Impression with flipped, frizzy (probably dry) ends.

I tried Stepping Out since I was getting tired of hair falling out of control in my face. with most long wigs without bangs. But I didn’t like the bangs on me, but they might be good for someone else.

The cap was very comfortable. Finally found my natural synthetic color in 10/12 after 4+ years of searching RW, LF, Envy, Amore, etc. If you describe you hair color as Medium Brown (without any reddish tones near the root.

but you see very slight reddish midway down to the ends due to sun exposure). You also see goldish mixed in with slight reddish midway down your hair to the ends, try a Gabor style in 10/12. If its too light, then try 8/10.

8/10 is good when I want to go a level darker. Thank you for the customer service along this journey!.

I own a few Gabor wigs and have always been happy with them until this one. It’s a huge disappointment and I only wear it as a quick throw on In a pinch. The only good thing about it is the color. I bought a rooted blonde and the roots were subtle, not too dark like most rooted wigs.

Now the cons, of which there are many. The fit is very poor. I have always worn Gabor average with no problem, but this one is huge. Even with the velcro adjustments stretched to the max it easily falls off my head.

The cut is horrendous. The back looks like it was cut with a machete and for some reason there is a very light layer about 3 inches from the root. The layer doesn’t have enough thickness and the hair is very light, so dozens of individual hairs literally stick straight up and it looks like static electricity gone wild.

The bangs will not lay straight no matter which way I try to part them, each clump of hair goes its own way and it pretty much looks like a mess. The hair is also pretty shiny giving it that wiggy look, but that would not be a show stopper if not for all of the other negatives.

The density of the wig is also on the light side, it could stand to be thicker and knots easily around the back of the neck. All in all a very poor product! I would have returned it but didn’t want to pay restocking fees.

Steer clear of this one!.

I’m not a big middle part person and I usually do free parting wigs but this was perfect. From the hairline to the strap in the back it was beautiful and full. I’m getting more in different colors. All I did was tint the lace and frame my face with some layers.

You couldn’t tell me this wasn’t my hair lol.

This is a nice wig! Very cute basic style, the fullness is on point. I love the movement on this wig, flowy and full of volume but not overwhelming. Very realistic style for daily wear. LMelted Hairline is 💯.

This wig is really cute. Thicker than I thought it would be but that’s ok. One thing I would say is the lace on this one is not as good as the lace on some of the other wigs from the melted hairline collection.

But I can make it work.

Loved Classic Cool by Raquel Welch. She makes the most natural lacefront hairlines! I bought in the color Glazed Hazelnut which is a blend of light/medium warm browns, with light caramel highlights. Beautiful color! If you want low density then this is for you! NO permatease, mono part.

It hugs your head with the light fringe layering. I love this because its an easy put on and go style! I also have R. Welch in a long Strawberry blonde named ‘ Watch me Wow!’ Its gorgeous in Glazed Strawberry which has another gorgeous lacefront!.

and a pixie from her in the same color. Can’t go wrong with Raquel Welch!.

This is my first Raquel Welch wig, and I just took delivery of it. The color is great – a fairly close match to my bio hair. The construction seems top-notch. I like the lace front better than the one on my Jon Renau wig.

It’s very natural. I gave Classic Cool 4 stars instead of 5 just because I want to see how it holds up under use, and will adjust the rating after a few months. Right now, I’ll ask my stylist to trim it a bit so it’s not in my face as much, but otherwise it’s ready to wear.

I ordered this in silver mist, as this color is almost identical to my bio hair. The color does match – one thing that I like about Raquel Welch wigs are the vast number of realistic colors that she has.

Anyway, I did not know what to do about excessive shine. I have learned a trick that I like which is giving the wig a baking soda bath. This wig has required a few. It must be the sleek style, because I have several Raquel Welch wigs in this color, and this is the only style that is so very shiny.

I have heard about using dry hair spray. I just don’t like the idea of coating the strands with a foreign substance. I am still working on the shine issue. I have also heard that in time it will subside from wear.

I have only worn it twice. I felt self conscious about the shine. I do like the cut however. Perhaps a different color would not be as shiny. I asked my teenage daughter her opinion. She reluctantly told me it reminded her of Barbie Doll hair.

I have severe hair loss on top of my head. Bad enough that I never leave my bedroom without wearing some kind of wig or hair system. This particular wig has become my go-to choice whenever I want a quick change of color or an easy swap to something already styled, for an evening or a whole day.

I own several much more expensive human hair wigs, including a similar length, custom made, human hair partial wig, which is designed as a medical prosthetic that I can wear for a week or longer without removing it.

Yet I also own and continue to purchase this Gayle wig, in my normal auburn color as well as in black, blonde, silvery grey, redhead, and other colors. It’s comfortable, and totally passes in public situations, including nightclubbing, as if it was my own hair.

It was my best wig for several years, before I stepped up to significantly more expensive human hair wigs. This is a great wig for the price, and can easily be used for daily wear.

Not quite satisfactory. Definitely not good. I did not write this so you could publish it. Would prefer comments go to manufacturer. I try to fine substitute product shorter around ears but either not a good color or hair is too short on top.

This is a beautiful wig. Received and a timely manner. I was looking for something different. When I first took it out of the box there was a slight smell. You can run your fingers through it without them getting tangled.

It is a little longer than I am use to and a bit fluffy (as I have always worn short wigs). Will have it trimmed, and hopefully that will take care of the fluffiness. I really like this wig.

I ordered this wig it said lace part when it came it is a lace front I’m very upset I should be allowed to return it due to false information about the product. I would like to be contacted by someone.

A nice wig I give four stars because it is to big for me nice soft human hair however I made some adjustment to the cap for a perfect fit. Thank you
