Honestly, I was excited about getting a new washer dryer set so I could FINALLY wash my king size comforter in peace instead of taking it somewhere to be cleaned or having to dry it three or four times.

Got this dryer thinking it had one of the biggest drum capacities and so many settings including sensor dry that it should finally solve all my woes! Unfortunately, Ive had it for two months now and this dryer has left me beyond disappointed.

Pros: 1. Quiet- I will say this runs fairly quietly compared to my last dryer, which is nice. Quiet enough that I gave it two stars instead of one. Thats where my pros list ends though. Cons: 1. Size- For what was sold to me as one of the largest dryer sizes available, this has been a huge disappointment.

Try to shove a wet king size comforter in is a struggle and takes a lot of shoving and jabbing. And then, surprise surprise, it comes out still wet! IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A DRYER FOR A KING SIZE COMFORTER, DO NOT BUY THIS!!! 2.

Dryer settings- LG flaunts a ridiculous number of pre-set dry settings, only none of them are actually usable. Several have temperature settings at the highest possible setting, which can damage fabrics (does anyone have clothes that DONT say “tumble dry low”??).

And you CANT adjust the settings on ANY setting besides “air dry” or “timed dry”, which means those tend to be the only settings I can use most of the time. 3. Sensor dry- I’m sure this isnt an issue on smaller loads so again, this will only be an issue for people washing large loads at a time or large bulky items.

While I haven’t had issues with this on small loads, on large loads the sensor has mo effect whatsoever and several times now I’ve had to put everything back in and find some new cycle to put it on to try to get things ACTUALLY dry.

Something I thought I wouldn’t have to do with this fancy new dryer. 4. Smart technology- Honestly, while this wasnt the main reason I bought the set, I thought it was a great feature to have. In reality, it’s useless.

It’s supposed to connect to an Alexa device, which it did no problem during set up. But because it’s on its own LG app, she can’t actually do much in terms of controling the devices. Even from the LG app, all you can really do is turn it on/off, pause it, and see how much time is left on the cycle.

You cant add time or change any of the settings, so other than getting a notification to your phone that the dryer is done, it’s pretty useless. Overall, this dryer is priced as a premium dryer with all the bells and whistles, but for the very basic performance that it does, save the money and get something cheaper.

Not worth it.

40 years of doing laundry on every kind of dryer including LG’s. This dryer is an enormous disappointment. A complete waste of money. I tried to return to Lowe’s and they only give 48 hours for returns if you use VISA, 30 days if you use Lowe’s credit.

We are right at 30 days and out of luck. I will list this and sell it. Clothes are either bone dry and completely ruined unless you put on the lowest two settings of heat on delicate (not even the delicate default setting) and on the two low levels they are too wet.

All those settings and only two usable settings unless you are doing towels. But better than ruined. What a load of crap this dryer is. Completely disgusted by this purchase. Great if you are doing armies of towels not if you own actual clothes that you want to not ruin.

What garbage this is at this price. Who designed this piece of garbage? Awful!! DO NOT BUY.

The advanced drying sensing means it can dry clothes accordingly and faster. Mixing loads can lead to some items to overheat since some items like jeans require more time and heat when using Normal Mode.

If mixed loads is a must then try the delicates setting. The steam option makes it more convenient to dry clean items as well as freshening up garments. Overall great dryer, has many settings for many different types of items and has even smart AI for more intelligent and precise drying for clothes, as well as saving you time.

If you are looking for a dryer that can have everything that you need, then look no further. Between wifi and the steam ability, you will be hard-pressed finding something this can’t do. But, how does it perform? Will, it is; fast, quiet, and very efficient.

I am able to dry king-size comforters and large loads of laundry with just one cycle. This used to take me 2-3 cycles and even then I was not able to do my comforter. Incredibly impressed with the capacity of the dryer and the ability for it to dry even the largest of loads.

The steam function is great which allows you to sanitize objects that usually can’t be washed, including my daughter’s toys. The steam also allows you to get rid of wrinkles quickly if you are in a pinch.

I’ve used that function quite a bit and I am amazed at how it works every time! Honestly, there are so many cycles that I’m not able to comment on all of them. Cycles include wrinkle refresh, sanitize, and even air dry.

The Dryer also has the ability to download new ones through the application! Overall, I am very happy with my LG purchase and its ability to efficiently dry the largest of cycles. So far, I am happy with the build quality and hope to use this for years to come.

I really like this washer. In a house with three cats who shed quite a bit, keeping our clothes clean is sometimes harder than it seems, but this machine is up to the task. I’ve experienced a variety of machines: laundromat washers, a compact combo washer/dryer, and a much older front loader.

This one knocks them all out of the water. It’s quiet for a washer, cleans quickly, leaves my clothes clean on any cycle and without residue, and gets out basically as much water from the load as possible without actually being a dryer.

Pros • it thoroughly cleans my clothes (that are often covered in cat fur) really efficiently and requires less detergent since it’s a HE washer • it’s so quick! it has a sensor that determines how long your load needs to be fully laundered, and it’s usually under 30 minutes • it has 11 preset cycles (5 are steam cycles) and a button for downloaded cycles which I assume is personalizable and programmable • if you opt not to use a preset, you can also personalize it with five settings each for temperature, spin strength, and soil level • it wrings out as much water as possible from your load, making drying (whether air drying or using a dryer) all the much easier—even with thicker materials like towels, bathmats, and blankets • it’s pretty quiet and doesn’t shake around too much.

my last machine shook so much that we couldn’t even store our detergent on top of it because it would get knocked off after a cycle, but not this one! • it has a cute little chime (that you can disable if you choose) to alert you when the load has finished • it has a 10 year warranty in case anything should malfunction, but it’s our first year owning it and we haven’t needed that yet • it can handle pretty big loads.

it’s a bit expensive compared to other washers. But it’s so worth it that I don’t mind at all.

I moved out of my parents and into my own home about a year ago and needed to get my own laundry machines. I did my research and ended up with this model (though the other variants were on my radar as well).

As background, my parents bought decent quality but more modest budget type machines, so I’ve never used anything fancy or high tech. I’ll start off with the cons as there are less and then go to the pros.

Cons: Still vibrates a good amount during spin cycle. I think this is just a thing that every machine, no matter how good, will face. However, I’m not sure if it’s because my parent’s place had a laundry shed outside the house that I rarely noticed or because the laundry room’s floor in my condo is just more noticeable, but you can feel the vibrations.

It would be cool if they had more dampeners or something to make it more “silent”, but it isn’t overly bad or anything I can’t tolerate, just a wishlist item. This model’s door cannot be mounted to the other side.

Strangely enough, the dryer set can, so I moved that, but because of the configuration of my laundry room, it would’ve been nice to be able to swap the door the other way so that it’s easier transferring washed laundry into the dryer.

Pros This thing has a lot of options. Like so many things I’m not used to. Delayed washing, prewashing, extra rinse cycles (I think it goes up to 4 times! Who needs that many rinses?) It’s very convenient as I can delay my wash so it finishes when I get home and then I can toss it into the dryer and for dirtier laundry, I can add a prewash or extra rinses to sanitize it thoroughly.

Clothes come out feeling very clean. It’s HE rated and I feel it does a great job in washing my laundry. The available options of cold to cool to room temp to warm to hot water, different levels of soiled cleaning, different spin cycles, and options for other additives, makes this very nice.

So far all my clothes have been coming out clean and the dampness after the spin cycle is about average or more dry compared to other machines. The set is an energy saving and high efficiency which gives you rebate money, at least from the CA programs.

I haven’t used it, but you can connect this to your wifi and I assume have some monitoring/control options through your phone? I’m tech savvy, but I feel this is a little extra and haven’t played with it yet.

I’m already happy with the available out of the box options Steam function (for cold wash only though). I don’t know if I can program this to do for other temps as well, but it’s interesting and though I’ve tried it, I couldn’t really see any differences, then again, I don’t get my laundry very dirty nor do I smell.

Clean look – Loving the simple but clean white with black trim. It does hide dust, so remember to wipe it every now and then. Easy installation – I had a very upsetting time with the delivery guys and ended up moving my units into my home on my own and having to install it on my own even though I requested white glove service.

Luckily, the manual is clear and the setup is a breeze, just a pain to do on your own because, well it’s a heavy laundry machine that you have to move around. But once it’s put into its spot, the remaining setup is easy and clear.

Good build quality – It’s been almost a year since I bought this and it’s still looking new and no issues have come up. I imagine I’ll be good for at least another 5 years, considering how I take care of it.

Honestly, I would say 10 years, but I don’t want to overshoot. Overall, it’s a great product. The price is at a higher premium but for good reasons, and with newer generations coming out and seasonal sales, if you can get it at a discount, it is extremely worth it.

I would also recommend pairing it with a matching dryer. I can’t remember if I got the exact matching one or one that is a generation newer, but it still looks nice and visually matches.

My washer is in the basement, so having a wifi app to alert me when the clothes are ready is convenient. (My one gripe with the app is it doesn’t seem to give me a sound or vibration alert, so I have to rely on the push notification lighting up my screen.

) ***I don’t end up using the Steam function that often because it takes 2-3 hours for small loads. I think you’re better off buying a washer without one, if possible, to save money; or buying a washer with an actual disinfecting function.

*** I end up only using the Normal function and changing between warm or cold, depending on whites or colors, respectively. I haven’t noticed much of a color bleed when my housemates mixes the batches together, but I’d still recommend separating the colors the old-fashioned way.

Any stains on my white clothes and underwear are removed well in conjunction with the Costco detergent. The tub clean button is very obvious (unlike my old washer where you had to access it via hidden button commands), and I get email alerts from LG that remind me when I need a cleaning, so it’s very easy to remember to use the cycle.

I throw in a cube from a box of cleaning powder that I purchased from Amazon, and it seems to do the job. I’m giving the washer 5 stars since it does its job and I haven’t had any issues since I bought it one year ago.

I leave the door open after washes, and that’s enough to prevent a strong smell and any mold from forming.

To help keep the washer clean and running at its best. Easy to install. When you install and follow the manuals instructions. When you run the test cycle the instructions they forgot to add that when you turn it ona nd have to press the 2 buttons at the same time be sure to do so before the turn on chime is done playing thats how you get the test cycle to run.

This tells yiu any error codes in case you install it incorrectly.

Bought during the pandemic. Read reviews (average) but due to limited inventory, we had little choice. Pros: big tub, many cleaning options, wifi. Cons: water level is always low. And. the warranty is 1 year, Costco added 1 year.

At 2 years and 1 week, lots of crud appeared in tub. LG said it was detergent remains and was because we didn’t run “clean tub” function enough. We did run that cycle everytime the app told us to. Out of warranty and repair guy said this machine is difficult to take apart to fix.

I bought this washer a few weeks ago and I can tell you I have never seen anything like it! It is truly amazing with all the settings one could ask for. I think I have just about washed most everything in my house from my clothes to my dogs blankets and everything has been clean.

I have not used the steam feature yet but I will before winter. I would say this was the best investment I have ever made, I am so pleased, Thank You LG and Costco.

I purchased my washer/dryer combo from Lowes and at the time Lowes was the only store that offered the shadow gray color. Free delivery and set-up was provided by Lowes and the installers were very professional, knowledgeable and answered all my questions.

Since day 1 both the washer and dryer have run perfectly and I have now had them for 3 months. I did have to carefully read the manual to learn all of the many settings. The washer is very user friendly and the bells and beeps are almost musical, not like the old loud alarm that sounded like a tsunami warning.

I purchased the largested washer available and it easily cleans my cal-king blankets, sheets, comforter and even bath rugs. One of the selling points for me was the option of the removable agitator and I am so glad I have that.

Most of the time I use the agitator but it is easily removable when I have bulky items to wash. The only even slight problem for me is that at 5’4″ I can barely reach the bottom of the tub to lift out clothes (standing on my tippy toes).

The tub itself is very deep, thus being able to handle very large loads. Not really a negative, just the price I pay for being short! There are too many great things to list but another selling point is the automatic load size sensor.

The washer senses the amount of clothing in the tub and only uses the amount of water needed to clean the clothes. In this day and age of climate change and the need for water conservation, this is a huge plus.

I would say that any extra I paid for this washer cancel’s itself in the savings on my water bill, plus the great feeling that I am doing my part to conserve water! I highly recommend this washer/dryer combo.

If you are hesitating at all, don’t. It is a beautiful set and I am 100% happy with it.

I just received this washing machine yesterday and I hate it. I’m so upset as I love all of my other whirlpool appliances and that is one of the main reasons I went with this one. The other is that I thought the removable agitator was such a great idea for big bulky loads such as bedding.

I will also say that this washer is replacing a 20 year old whirlpool that was obviously not high efficiency. I did 2 loads of clothing yesterday and there was nowhere near the appropriate amount of water in the tub.

The clothes at the top never submerged. Also, the agitator is ridiculous. It does not move the clothes around at all! I’m not used to the back and forth motion of it as the one in my old machine only went in one direction and that made sure that the clothes submerged and rotated.

It seems as though this one has no power to it at all. For the second load I took the agitator out to see if it would make a difference only using the impeller. It did not! Then this morning I used the bulky items load as I was washing a mattress pad.

This seems to automatically use the deep wash setting but then it appeared as if there was no soap dispensed, or at least a very little amount for the amount of water that was in the tub. I am currently watching another load of clothing hardly move in the tub at all.

The load has been “washing” for a good 15 minutes and the clothing that was at the top is still at the top. I am so disappointed that I spent the money on this machine! Unfortunately since it was an item that was ordered from a local furniture/appliance store (they don’t carry it on the floor) I cannot return/exchange it.

I have a feeling that I will be bringing my old one back into the house and putting this one in the garage! Such a waste.

We needed to replace our 20+ year old front loader and wanted to go back to a top loader. We were really impressed with the multitude of features to include the ability to easily switch between use an agitator or impeller.

As a top loader, very impressed with the large drum and the ability to load compared to a front loader of equal size! Thus far, it seems impossible to overload this washer as clothing fill the entire 360 of the drum compared to filling 180 minus of a front loader to include using the depth of the drum.

We truly enjoying the Load and Go Dispenser and how well it measures out the optimum use of detergent. We are most impressed on how well the machine cleans clothing. Perhaps the only two features that would put this washer over the top would have been a built-in heater option and a multiple speed motor for desire rinse speeds – currently only two speed options exist.

The only current complaint is how loud the machine is. Definitely not impressed and very surprised by how unexpecting loud the washer is compared to my previous machine and other washers I have used throughout my travels.

As the Parent Company of Maytag, one would think the warranty would be equal or not better for a Made in America product but certainly hoping the warranty would not be used and expecting it to outlast our previous machine!.

My husband and I love our new washer. When you have a family of six you always have a lot of laundry and this washer take what was once an annoyance and make it much more manageable. First off, this washer has a lot more space than most out there.

With the amount of laundry we deal with, this is such a time saver for us, as it can handle bigger loads without issue. Another plus is the smart features it has. Once I start a load, I can walk away and get alerts on my phone when the load of wash is done.

Gone are the days of getting busy and forgetting wet clothes in the washer only to have them smell horrible later. Now I always know when the load is done and can move them straight to the dryer. The next major time saver is the 28-minute speed wash cycle the washer can do.

Being able to throw in a load and have it finish that fast is nice when you forget to wash the baseball uniform before the game in a few hours. The Steam sanitize option is nice as well, after a long day of the kids playing outside.

This will help remove the stains and get rid of the germs they come across. This washer also has a self-clean option for the drum making sure clothes stay clean and smell great. Lastly it looks as my husband says, handsome and regal.

All these things added together allow me to spend more time getting other things done and save me extra work. I now have more time to spend with the family doing things we enjoy, and it is thanks to this washer.

I bought this washing machine 11/29/2021 from Lowe’s. On 2/03/2022 it tore up and would not work. So I called service and they sent a local appliance center out to fix it. They said that it needed 3 different parts.

So about 2 1/2 week later they came back to put those parts on it and fix it, needless to say those 3 parts did not fix it. They then told me that it needed 4 more parts. While trying to fix it they scratch and chipped the paint on the front and top my washer.

And when I complained to whirlpool about it they told me that that was not their problem and that I had to take that up with the local appliance company that came to fix it. But I told them that whirlpool is the ones that contracted them to work on it.

So for the last 2 months I am still waiting for whirlpool to find those parts that are on back order and they don’t know when they will get the parts. I have tried to get whirlpool to replace my washer but have not had any luck with that.

Every time that I call service they just keep giving me the run around and tell me they are sorry that my washing machine is messed up. Customer service is not what it use to be. And when you do say customer service it usually takes about 45 minutes before you can ever talk to an actual person.

I even bought an extending warranty on the washer and dryer but it has not done any good with this purchase. We are very unpleased with this washing machine and will never buy it again. I know that I might have got a bad washer but at least whirlpool could just replace the washing machine and take mine back.

Bought this washer in January – was so excited to finally have a large capacity top-loading washer and we have always liked Whirlpool appliances. I really wish in a store, there was a way to actually run a cycle, but you end up solely purchasing based on looks and the features listed on paper.

Once we bought it and started using it, we realized two things. 1) the wash cycle is SO loud. We had a front loader LG washer prior to our move, and it was so much quieter. With this one, when it hits the agitation period in the wash, i end up closing the door to the laundry room because you can hear it through the house and over the TV.

Not thrilled about that. 2) I wish the ‘Load and Go’ detergent feature was able to be customized more. The lowest setting is 2x. I just want a normal amount of detergent. not 2x. it’s a waste. The convenience is nice, but appliance repair people say that with an HE washer, 2-3 tablespoons is enough to get everything clean.

I end up having to always run the extra rinse cycle each time to make sure all the detergent is out, which wastes water. Overall, i love the look of the unit and the large capacity – can finally get my son’s comforter in the wash and know it’s getting clean – but knowing what i know now, i would have purchased a different washer/dryer set.

Both my husband and I have worked as managers in customer service for many years. We were promised a service and quite disappointed when this was not completed and followed through. This product came highly recommended and I was not thoroughly sold on it I have had Samsung products before and did not have success with them but I listened to this person.

I believe a product should last longer than this did. We take great care of our belongings and our last washer lasted for many years and the one before that didn’t need to be replaced we wanted a new one.

We requested to speak with a manager and one did not call us back. I know your company does plenty of business and you will move on from this. I wish I would have read your reviews before I bought this washer! When your service technician came out and diagnosed the problem and told us many other washers have this issue and we have read about this we felt like we were going to be taken care of by your company.

The next day when we called you did not stand by your word. I believe this is not good business. We have all of the information you gave us and will give it to our legal department to see if they can assist us in the matter.

In the meantime we will see about purchasing a washer with a company that wants to do business with us. Thank you for your time.

I bought this washer and the coordinating dryer set in January at Lowe’s home improvement and I absolutely love it. By connecting the washer via wifi to the smart things app by pressing the smart control button on the machine I am able to access 11 additional wash cycles to the already 10 wash cycles directly on the machine.

There are several steam settings that are great for deep cleaning and removing stains and odors. My daughter still sets the bed and urine odors used to be really hard to remove from linens even when I added a liquid laundry sanitizer.

The machine is energy efficient (and ADA compliant?) I absolutely love this washer. The app reminds you when it’s time to run a clean cycle to prevent the washer from smells and detergent build up. It’s much easier to use than my LG top loading machine.

The absence of a center agitator means it’s gentler on clothes. It was expensive but a great investment considering how much use it gets. It has a quick wash cycle which is only 30 minutes. The machine senses the weight of clothes in the load and adjusts the amount of water needed for the wash.

The washer is large enough to wash several blankets or a king size down insert. My only complaint is that sometimes the washer doesn’t want to connect to the app and it is a pain when you want to change the downloaded cycle.

However there is a customer support line for troubleshooting. Because of all the additional features it is a bit more expensive than a standard machine but I talked my husband into getting it since I do all the laundry and it’s been a great product.

Remember that Lowe’s will price match any competitor. I was able to get over $400 refunded because I found the set online cheaper after I bought it. I’ve included photos from the app of the additional wash cycles you can switch to for the download settings.

We purchased this new washer from Samsung because her loved our last set from them he have had for the last 14 years. Worked great for 5 months then started making this banging noise that kept getting worse as it hit the spin cycle.

the machine was just rocking like crazy so I stopped and checked to make sure the machine was level and removed half the load thinking it might be overload but it wasn’t a large load but still took some out.

seemed like after i restarted the load it was even worse. Had to call samsung and wait for there repair tech to show and then he told us it was the drum brace that is broken and none repairable and we needed a new machine.

Then he called his office people and then hassled us about how its a 2020 model (we purchased in Feb. 2021) and not covered under warranty. We had to argue with him and produce the receipt and show that we had only had it a few months he then had to call them back and was mumbling about how we have proof of purchase then he stepped out of the house for a few then came back and said that Samsung will be in touch with us and put the washer back together and left.

The only saving grace is the fact that Samsung is offering us a full refund (Still waiting for that) and how it will take a few weeks. Mean time dead washer.
