With this phone, I enjoy the amazing battery life, I can store thousands and thousands of pictures, files, apps, anything!! I also love the size of the phone as a whole, the s10 is the perfect size to hold with one hand or stick in your pant pocket.

It’s not big or bulky one bit. It’s sleek, streamlined design makes it excellent for busy people on the go, who don’t want to worry about dropping or losing their most important necessity, their phone of course! I must mention the battery life is also exceptional! I’ve has this phone for about 3 years now and it hasn’t let me down once in the battery or store category!! The wide screen makes it great to watch movies or even type a resume if needed! All in all, this is a fast and efficient device I’d recommend to anyone.

The only thing I would say takes off a star is the glass of the screen, it’s actually cracked three times now, the first two of which had actually made the phone completely shut off and I almost lost everything on it!!! 😵 I’ve had to get the phone screen professionally replaced.

I have no idea how it even keeps cracking, I’m extremely careful with my phone and it never gets hit on anything. I think the screen has a weak spot on the curve of the screen by thr side buttons, because it always cracks in that same area.

Samsung, I hope you fix this issue in newer models. Samsung Galaxy S10+ 128 GB (Unlocked).

I’ve had this phone for 3 years now and I still love it. I can’t say I’ve ever left a review for a phone though so I’ll do my best. Camera wise, my best experience yet. There are so many options to explore, I greatly appreciate it as a photography / videography enthusiast.

It’s one of the features that truly stops my from switching over to the iPhone. Audio quality is great too, I personally find it more impressive than my last LG phone and friends’ iPhones. Not to mention the battery life! I’ve appreciated all the little things (some that have come with updates) such as the hover swiping, false unlock protection, and vast amount of widgets.

I know this isn’t exclusive to this phone, and I immediately deactivated it but, Bixby needs to go or get a massive overhaul. I definitely need to give it a good clean (digitally) to make sure it continues to run as well as it has considering how all the newer models of all the flagship phones have removed the ability to expand memory.

That’s a real shame! Otherwise, I’ve been very pleased with this one.

I had this Samsung S10+ a couple years back in the black colour. I didn’t have this phone for too long because after a year, I couldn’t stand it. Don’t get me wrong, Samsung has a great software system that is very fast and customizable to a consumer who wants a lot of versatility in their lives but the S10+ was a huge miss for me.

I had the S7 edge years ago and it’s actually one of my favourite smartphones. It was everything I wanted in a phone but it’s sadly outdated now in terms of camera quality and the response times, but for some reason this s10+ seems like a downgrade and my mom also agrees.

The camera quality was the worst I’ve ever used in a smartphone. Every picture I took turned out blurry and it was painfully slow at snapping pictures. If I had a good subject and needed to take a quick picture, it would miss it by a millisecond and have an atrocious blur to the image.

The next thing that was a huge dealbreaker for me was the button placements. I swear half of the pictures on my phone were accidental screenshots when I tried to adjust the volume. If you can get this phone on a deal, I don’t even recommend doing that.

Go for the newer s20 smartphones that are out. My dad seems to enjoy his. Stay far away from the s10+.

It’s exactly as the picture showed! When I’m wearing is, I love feeling they are close to me. I would definitely recommentbit as a gift or buy it for yourself.

Wasn’t happy with the product I ordered. The font is very small and hard to read. I contacted customer service about switching out the outside locket part because I wasn’t happy with the all plain silver.

Wanted to get crystal product on outside to try and Spruce the necklace up. Customer service said 30% restocking fee which is stupid because I’m not getting rid of the engraving part. I could understand that.

You would think I would be worked with since I wasn’t happy with product. So now I will be giving this out as Christmas present. Thanks.

The S21 5G has been great for the 5 months that I’ve used it. General stability and performance of the phone are its highlights – thanks to a year of regular software updates and a chipset that keeps up with the times (SD 888).

The display on this phone looks stunning, and it boasts a fluid 120 Hz refresh rate that makes everything smooth and snappy. It gets bright enough such that it can be used outdoors for texting, paying and media control.

The color profile of the display also switches under direct sunlight to enhance readability – it becomes more saturated. Haptics are tight and responsive, nothing to complain about there either. Battery life (!!) is one of the most important aspects of a mobile device.

I am happy to say that the S21 5G has enough juice to last a day of medium to slightly heavy usage. Standby battery drain is also pretty consistent, never noticed an issue there. With the correct equipment, the phone will ‘Super fast charge’ at up to 25W, which will charge the battery from 0-100 in about an hour (or 0-50 in about 25 mins).

It’s nothing to write home about, but gets the job done. There is also support for wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, although both of these are slower and less efficient charging technologies that I would not recommend using (especially the latter, as it drains and heats up the phone battery).

Cameras on the phone are generally impressive for photography. Under ideal conditions, the 12 MP main sensor is capable of some pretty sharp images thanks to post processing that sharpens images. The telephoto camera does a decent job upto around 8X, after which the image is pretty blurry.

It can go up to 30X, but that is more of a gimmick than a feature. The only time I found 30X to be useful is while taking moon shots, the phone does those pretty well. Keep in mind it is not a real optical zoom but a crop in on a 64 MP sensor, so the algorithm is pretty impressive.

Ultrawide shots are also detailed (12 MP) and look stunning with minimal distortion around borders. The selfie camera is alright, and only works great under good lighting. I don’t shoot many videos, but the phone is capable of producing smooth 60 FPS videos with seamless transitions between the three cameras and good auto focus.

HDR10+ videos look great, however there is oversaturation in those clips and they cannot be shared across platforms easily (not recommended). Finally, I’d like to talk about software. As mentioned earlier, the phone is generally very performant and stable.

Besides, OneUI offers countless features that are pretty intelligent. For example, the gallery app is magical as photos can be remastered to correct some blur, noise, overexposure, etc. Furthermore, S21 features object eraser that can remove objects, shadows and reflections from an image! Personally, I think the reflection eraser is the most helpful, to remove glare and reflections from an image captured through a window (I often take images through car windows).

OneUI 5 is generally heavily customizable, if that’s something you treasure! However, I haven’t really bought into the Material You design yet, I feel changing icon colors makes them harder to find and differentiate.

Fortunately or unfortunately, OneUI has not gone through any major design overhauls, and OneUI 5 still looks very similar to older OneUI versions. It is a solid Android skin, and is genuinely helpful at times when navigating this big phone one-handed (menus are closer to the bottom of the screen, and buttons are generally larger and easier to click).

With all that said, however, I am starting to feel quite bored after using OneUI for the last 3 years, maybe because Samsung doesn’t change as much and add as many new and practical features as compared to the competition (like Google Pixel).

The only new feature I’ve been genuinely impressed by has been the object eraser and remastering in the gallery app (since I bought the S21 5 months ago). And, unfortunately Samsung uses generic Qualcomm chipsets, which are very performant, but cannot be designed around new software features unlike in the case of Google and Apple.

This will be more important in upcoming years, but as of now Samsung’s S series is still a safe bet in terms of general stability, performance and connectivity. That reminds me, connectivity has been very good on this smartphone, with support for Wifi 6, 5G UW/mmWave and 5G sub-6 (“nationwide”).

I believe the version of Bluetooth supported is 5. 1, but regardless it has been pretty rock solid. Finally, as I conclude, I would like to comment on the overall design of the phone. I like the size, although I am a sucker for more compact phones and believe the S21 could have shaved yet another inch off as seen in the S22.

I love the glastic back, and I believe it helps with that 5G mmWave action. The back design with the layout of the triple camera screams my name, and the camera frame is flush with the side aluminum frame of the phone.

The curved design of the glass and glastic sandwich makes the phone feel comfortable with no sharp edges, however that also makes for a rather slippery phone (recommend using a phone case!). I prefer the boxier S22 which is also more compact and provides a more confident grip.

Overall, the S21 has been a solid daily driver, although I yearn for some more fun and useful software additions as seen in the likes of the Google Pixel.

I got this several months ago and this is my second attempt to write this (darn blockers) I upgraded from a Samsung S*+ and the S21+ is, decent. The software for transferring from the old phone is great and is very solid.

The phone itself, even without a case feels very solid. The interface can be a bit overwhelming at first in terms of setting up new tones and alarms, but how often do you really have to set those up? The low light camera is very impressive.

I had put off updating for a long time because of the fingerprint scanner. The on screen scanner I was hesitant about, and my thoughts on it have been largely fulfilled. The old scanner was “mechanical” and seems far more robust.

The onscreen seems a bit finicky and your finger does not naturally go to the location, as the old one placed on the back of the phone did. It can often take several attempts to place your finger correctly to start the phone.

Sure, it will tell you where to put your finger, but aside from that, I find it inconvenient. I know why they did it, for more camera space on the rear, but in all honesty, I bought a phone, not a camera, if I wanted one of those I would buy a camera.

Overall, I am generally pleased with the phone, but I also miss the notification light on the front. It was handy and since I do not always have my phone glued to me, the flashing indicator was handy.

Would I recommend it, sure, its decent. But overall, I feel it has lost more of the handy features they used to have than it gained, unless you shoot a lot of low light pictures.

It has no expandable memory, 3 camera lenses just confuse the software so getting it to focus on what you want plus everything else in frame is almost impossible. The amount of bloatware is hair pulling stressful especially when you can’t uninstall any of it nor disable them.

The rest of the world gets a dual sim card slot. not America though. 99% of the apps don’t work in landscape mode, including samsung’s own galaxy store. Auto correct is horrible, it always corrects correctly spelled words and it’s suggested words are never even close.

The battery life is terrible, it’s own bloatware is usually responsible for it. One of the worst things, especially living in Florida, is the screen gets up to 112°F (44°C). When I’m watching YouTube or something, even with a desk fan blowing air on it and not charging, it gets almost hot enough not to touch so I pulled out my digital IR thermometer and got the 112 degrees.

And using the camera for a few minutes gets the screen even hotter, I don’t even have a case on my phone and you can’t put your fingers anywhere close to the lenses for more than a second or two before it becomes too hot to touch.

I’m sure I’m missing many more issues but those are my biggest. I was a huge samsung fan until I bought this phone.

I got my phone on contract and had issues from day 1. While using this phone on any app – messages, during calls, music – it would crash and freeze. Sometimes upto 10mins at a time! I spoke with Samsung who sent a ‘repair engineer’ to my house; this guy was at my house less than 5 mins and all he did was reboot the software and restore factory settings, he told me this was a common fault on this phone!! He didn’t even wait for me to turn my phone back on and check I was happy.

Still the same problems persisted only they got worse with use. In the end, Samsung agreed to collect the phone and send it to an accredited repair shop (this was a company called TMT First). They emailed me to tell me I had bent my phone and damaged the whole thing, I have my phone in a case and i look after it well so I don’t believe that to be true at all.

Repair quote was well over £500 when I can buy a new one for the same price!!! I took my phone to an independent phone repair shop who told me my phone was not bent as the LED screen would show damage to prove this.

I have only had the phone a few months and it should still be under warranty, I am so disappointed in the way my case was dealt with. It has put me off using Samsung when my partner uses Apple and has never had issues like this.

Now i am stuck paying a contract when i can’t use my phone! The phone itself looks stylish and I loved it but the quality and performance is utter rubbish! Nobody buys a phone just to look at!!!.

This phone is budget version of s20. The differences between those two phones are : material, s20fe has plastic background vs glass by s20 – I do not mind this; camera is 12x12x8 vs 12x12x64 by s20 – I do not mind this one also at all ; size 6,4” vs 6,2” – smaller phone sits better in the hand and accident risk is smaller; and screen resolution full HD 1080×2400 vs 1440×3200 – this one I just cannot ignore! Since my last phone was s8 with same resolution as s20 , I was disappointed by pixel density on s20fe.

I could really see the difference. Resolution and camera are the reason why I buy Samsung galaxy phones in the first place. I did change s20fe for s20 at the end even if the price of s20 is insane high.

Otherwise for those that do not mind having full HD instead of 4k , the phone is super nice , excellent performing so no need to pay couple of hundreds euros more for s20.

I replaced my beloved LG G5 with the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE UW based on the reviews and the camera specs. I like the size of the phone which is basically the same width as my G5 but about 3/4 of an inch taller.

Easy to hold and use. However, the display and camera I found to not be any better than my 4 year old G5 and in some instances not as good (selfie camera). Part of the problem may be one of expectations because I had read that AMOLED displays are superior to LCD IPS screens, I am not finding that to be the case in the S20 FE which has an AMOLED display.

The FE display is not bad, it is just doesn’t seem to be quite as good as my G5’s LCD IPS screen as far as depth, color and clarity. The display in one thing but the selfie camera in another. While I had read that Samsung’s pictures tend to have a “hyper real” look which did not sound bad to me in theory but in practice I do not like it.

The pictures seem to have an exaggerated sharpness combined with a flatness. As one reviewer wrote , “Samsung does not like shadows” and I would agree. The shadows are all lightened which takes away from the the depth of the pictures.

I am happy to report the rear camera does not suffer the same flatness as the selfie camera and on the positive side, the rear camera does havean optical zoom feature which the G5 does not. They both have Ultra wide.

I will also point out that both cameras has several adjustment options and I have not tried most of them yet so one may be able to adjust them better to one’s liking. As far as the phone and the features it has, I generally like it, and the transfer of apps from my G5 was pretty easy so I am not totally unhappy with my purchase just surprised that the camera and the display didn’t quite live up to the hype.

I loved the camera. But that doesn’t cancel out the overwhelming negative that this thing has a glass jaw! It can’t take a hit. If your toddler drops it onto your linoleum floor, your phone is a gunner.

At least it’s wholeness. I dropped mine after about a month or so after my old phone was stolen. It wasn’t even a s and I dropped that thing so many times but only a few times did it get damaged. Let’s be clear, my phone is in my hand most every single day most of the day.

They didn’t have a case at the Walmart i bought it from. And I also had some money trouble so I used my case money on something more needed at the time. Anywho, first drop was on smooth concrete from waist high and I’m 5′ 7″ so that was less than a 3 foot drop.

Shattered the corner. The latter 3 times is a blur but each time was from a low height. I remember one I was sitting in the car with my phone in my lap and forgot it was there so when I got out I kinda brought it with me.

It kerplunked onto blacktop and I can’t remember if it broke the camera glass or if it pinched the front screen. But the pinched screen has made it almost worthless. It constantly pulls down the quick access screen.

It also goes crazy constantly. Most times I can’t even complete a Google search. It’ll bounce to another screen. Be it from the settings or sometimes random websites and other problems. It’s drove me to cuss.

I would get it fixed but it’s 400+ to fix the screen crack. Not the camera protector glass, the shattered corner or another chip in the other side. I would throw the thing through the wall but I have 30 more months to pay on the damn thing.

Biggest freaking ripoff of a phone I ever encountered. Trading the sucker for a s22 with hopes It’ll be a better phone. Gorilla glass 6 is FATALY FLAWED. It isn’t even a tiny monkey. You could break it dropping it into a paper bag.

If Samsung stood for quality products and customer satisfaction they would recall these and factory fix them. Or offer full pay off credit towards a later model. Or a even swap. Samsung S22 ultra 5g SUCKS and so does Gorilla Glass 6.

The Samsung S20 Ultra is a high-end smartphone with a large display, it includes five cameras, and a massive battery (5,000mAh). It’s a powerful device that’s great for gaming and multitasking, but it’s also quite expensive for the performance.

The display is bright and sharp, and the five cameras allow you to take great photos and videos. The battery life is excellent, and the phone can even charge other devices wirelessly. The only downside is the price tag lime I said in the first paragraph.

The S20 Ultra has a powerful camera system. The main camera is a 108 MP sensor with an optical image stabilization. It is capable of shooting 8K video and has a 100x digital zoom which is a very amazing feature to use when you are trying to read something very far away.

The secondary camera is a 48 MP sensor. It is also capable of shooting 8K video, but it takes up alot of space. The camera system is very impressive and is capable of taking great photos and videos. The 100x digital zoom is also a great feature, although it is not always accurate.

The time-of-flight sensor is a nice addition, but it is not very useful in most situations. Overall, the Samsung S20 Ultra is a great smartphone with an excellent camera system. If you are looking for a high-end smartphone with a great camera, the S20 Ultra is a great option.

I’ve had this phone for about 2 years now. A friend more or less gifted it to me as I needed a better phone and service compared to what I had at the time. The phone itself in regards to its appearance is fine.

In my opinion the camera is also fine but it could be better. Sometomes it randomly loses focus or has difficulty focusing. Some times image quality is blurry but 8/10 its usually okay. I like the large screen as well.

My issues lie with my internet/data service. For whatever reason this phone LOVES to randomly disconnect and reconnect from data and wifi alike. Normally this issue last a few seconds and generally no real harm comes from it but it does still negatively affect me regularly in the form of lag, freezing and being forced to refresh a page or app.

Furthermore the phone was alright until April 20th when a system update occurred and I’m not sure if it’s coincidence or what, but now my phone keeps crashing VERY often. It’s gotten to the point where I can’t even use certain apps without crashes.

I’m CONSTANTLY having to restart said apps. I’m really hoping it’s temporary because if it’s not I am concerned with whether or not I will continue remaining a customer for long. It’s one thing to experience some mild issues but to have the phone practically unusable on a daily is quite excessive.

When an app crashes and I’m prompted if I want to report the issue, even that service crashes making me unable to even report my issue. Lastly my GPS functions are weird. Not only is it frequently “weak” but also it gives semi frequent inaccurate data.

There are so many issues with this rubbish. Even pay for lower price but no issues like that happen. every single times I switch the account on facebook. I must restart the phone otherwise I have to way to do it which never ever happen before even I updated all the apps and software but still doesn’t work.

with the other app as well. download it but never worked, what it showed from the app was just a blank page which NEVER EVER HAPPEN WITH IPHONE. then I transfer the date from the old phone to the new one, but I opened that after 2 months I transfered, everything inside the secure files were lost.

This phone goes with the good camera but not 100% working straight away, you have to redo it until it works properly. I swear after this phone, I never ever buy the phone from Samsung anymore which is just a rubbish and all my family members never buy the Samsung phone.

I have not had a mobile cellphone as this in the past. It took me sometime to familiarize myself with the changes different from my old phone. After sometime of hit and miss and Utube, I was able to become adept in using this phone.

Now to the phone itself, great looking phone with large viewing screen. The phone is easy to hold in my hand, do to the slim width and weight distribution. The screen is vivid and can be change to your custom viewing pleasure.

The interal storage is above average and is accessed quickly. I have not used the camera or video features too much, however what photos and videos I took are sharp and vivid colors. I am very pleased with this phone and it’s features to this point.

The best thing about the Unlocked version is that the updates are very timely directly from Samsung. Photography is great but there are better ones out there reasonably cost less. Battery life is great.

Charging speed is mediocre. Display is phenomenal. Stereo speakers are okay. Samsung version of Android is clean and efficient but doesn’t have any flare.

Worth every penny. Smart battery learns your usage and charges faster than any phone ive ever had lasts up to 2 days with mild heavy use although I restrict and turn off everything I don’t use. Not alot of bloatware that you cannot unistall.

Must have micro SD slot. Performance is top of the line for what this phone costs. Fingerprint scanner is perfect and convenient and works everytime. Camera is as advertised and takes great photos if you know what you’re doing and how to operate your own phone.

Rolled edge screen is very comfortable and display is amazing. Phone does not heat up during heavy continuous use. Device care and optimization are major pluses for keeping apps from constantly running in background and automatically puts apps in a sleep or deep sleep if you have not used them for a period of time.

Speaker is as advertised and is just as good as any other phones on the market. Have had no trouble connecting to data or service or wifis. Never had the phone lock up or shut off or lag when using. This phone is well worth the money and most people don’t know how to operate their own phones when they leave reviews and most don’t have anything to do with the phone besides they love it which doesn’t tell you anything besides they are excited about getting a new phone.

Most people having claiming to have problems with certain areas of their phones are usually because they don’t know how to properly operate their phones or know how to use them correctly so they think there is a problem with it when they are the problem because they’re just stupid.

Do not buy this phone unless you want charging issues down the line. When I initially got this phone in June 2020, I thought it was the best phone I’ve ever owned. I’ve been since proved wrong. The charger that came with it came paired with a travel adaptor and a cord that was type-C on both ends since i bought it off amazon, that charger stopped working in less than a year.

After that, I switched to a standard Samsung charger and the charging port has since decayed. I have to force the USB C into the port to get a stable charge, and not even that works most the time. I have to not touch the phone or the cord since the slightest wiggle will disconnect the cord.

I shined a flashlight in the port and there’s little to no lint/dust buildup so it’s a wear and tear of the port after not two years of owning the phone, and that’s not even all the issues I’ve had with it, that’s just the main issue.

It has become a chore to charge the thing and it won’t last a full day on a full charge anymore. Disappointing that I paid $400 and its already starting to fail. Think I’m done with Samsung, going with a different brand when i do decide to get a new phone.

I purchased my A71 brand new a couple months ago. This week it can no longer connect to the mobile network. After the second trip to my carrier to fix this, they told me it is a known issue and cannot be fixed.

They said I would need to contact Samsung for a replacement. Samsung sent me to 2 different service centers claiming they could fix or replace it, but both service centers told me the same thing my carrier did, and both said Samsung already knows this.

The only solution from Samsung is to mail them my phone, and a technician will determine if it can be fixed or replaced under warranty. However, due to medical issues I cannot go without a phone for 2 weeks it would take from Samsung, and have no other option than to purchase a new phone.

I’ve not even had this phone for 3 months, and I have to spend the money to replace it. After explaining all of this the last time I talked to Samsung, they had the audacity to offer a discount on my purchase of a new Samsung phone, for a price of $300.

What a horrible experience. I have only had Samsung phones for almost 15 years, and I will no longer purchase anything they make after this.

So, I have had my Samsung S20 FE (Fan Edition, Yay!) for about a month and feel I can now share some of my thoughts on it though I would point out that my experiences so far have been that this is a brilliant phone (saves you having to read the rest).

I have the 256Gb version in Cloud Mint colour and bought a transparent Tech21 case to protect it. Looks really great, feels good in hand and the case allows me to see the fantastic colour of the phone.

In fact, I like all the colours in this range based on what I have seen on the net. The 256Gb storage is overkill especially as I also added a 128Gb SD card from my old phone. Imagine, 384Gb of offline storage, I guess I should start getting used to cloud services.

My previous phone was a 32Gb S7 (before that an S4, S2 and S1) and I spent ages trying to create space by deleting apps and moving them back onto the SD card, for some reason they never wanted to stay there.

With all this space I can now reload all my old favourite apps and games again such as Where’s my Water, Temple Run, Asphalt and even some news sites that were simply too big for my old phone. I have installed loads of apps recently and only used 50Gb, so the 128Gb version am sure would be fine for most users.

As you can tell I have the DS (Dual Sim) version which means I can have two sims (one for this country and one for abroad if needed) or as I have done I used the second sim slot to hold my 128Gb micro sim card.

The phone is really fast, the car racing Game Asphalt plays superbly and casting the phone to my TV (via Firestick) was easy and with spectacular results. I had a lot of indecision whether to get this phone or a pricier, premium version like the S20, S20+, S20 Ultra as each has certain extras (or wait for the S21 FE etc.

). I ruled out needing a 108Mp camera, why would I need that. Ultimately the bigger FE battery helped me choose and I easily get a day out of it even though I leave the 120Hz refresh on. Talking of the screen, it’s superb whether at 60 or 120Hz.

The colours are bright, the blacks are deep and it has a super glossy (premium) look to it. I wouldn’t bother with any more resolution, just overkill. My old S7 Edge had a curved screen. I don’t miss it so don’t be put off that the FE is flat, unless that’s what you want.

Once it’s in its case the shape of the screen is less obvious anyway. I don’t need to pay premium prices for that. BTW, the phone arrives with a screen protector and the display size which originally I thought might be too big is just right though I do have larger hands than most.

Trust me you will enjoy this display. Another key factor for me was price and avoiding paying a premium. Although the back is plastic it looks and feels premium to me. Don’t let having glass all-round hold you back as you will be more than satisfied esp.

Buy yourself a nice new powerful wireless charger and a set of ear buds (I use ENACFIRE E60s) as this phone doesn’t have an audio jack socket.

Worried me for a few seconds not having a jack but my earbuds are superb and comfortable lying in bed with my head on the pillow and I barely notice them • I had to buy some more leads as I only had the classic micro USB connector (for my S7 and previous phones) where the latest Android phones now use USB-C • Sound out is fine • The finger print scanner works a treat, absolutely no issues when I use it.

Got both my thumbs scanned easily • The only downside with this phone and indeed any Samsung past the S10 is that my Gear VR won’t work with it so have had to hang on to my S7 just for that (not trading in).

So all in all after lots of research I am incredibly happy with my Samsung S20 FE 256Gb SM-G781B/DS, I cannot say there are any downsides of significance. If you are looking for a great phone with all the major functionality then you cannot go wrong with this one, why pay more!.

It’s great when paired with a Samsung watch, there’s so many features and settings to choose from. I love all the fitness and health information it gives you and the watch encourages you to move periodically through the day.

The phone itself is comfortable to hold and easy to use. There’s a nice variety of settings to choose from to personalise the handset. Unfortunately, with heavy use, the battery does drop quite quickly and I find myself having to top up the charge during the day.

Comparatively, I had a Huawei prior to this and with the same amount if use, I still had around 30% left at the end of the day. The camera is good, with some good editing features to create different effects.

The only other issue I’ve had is that I’ve had to reset the handset a couple of times when the touch screen seemingly loses its sensitivity and I struggle to get it respond to anything I’m trying to do.

I find this a little annoying when the phone is only a month old and I’ve had to do this 3 times already. I’ve never had this problem with previous Samsung or Huawei handsets.

the samsung keyboard cover is a perfect solution. it provides the best of both worlds for those who need a keyboard with no compromise on either the keyboard or phone. it works seamlessly. i’ve used it for many years.

the only issue with it is that samsung is no longer making it available for its phones. as a result, we’ve been “stuck” with the galaxy s8 — which while still great phone, won’t get upgraded past android 9 (no more security updates, etc.

). samsung: please provide a similar solution for the s22! you came up with a unique design that fully addresses a problem for a lot of us.

My first S10+ developed a display issue after about 3 years. it was still working, but the display all of a sudden, started to fade out. like a washed out look to it. Not bright and clear like it usually was.

Colors were wrong and the display had light streaks all over it. I loved the phone and debated getting one of the newer ones. a 21 or 22. but I was already familiar with the 10, so I just got another one.

They are at a pretty good price now since they are older. even the new ones. New ones will get harder to find as time goes on of course, but for now, they are around. These have great cameras! Easy to set up and use and all the features I’d ever want.

I’m not a big phone person. I don’t play games, not into TikTok, Instagram, or the other social media platforms. I just call, text and take photos mainly. I use a lot of the other features of the phone.

I just don’t use it extensively or constantly. Battery life is good for me, but if one uses it for gaming or such and heavily uses it, it won’t last long of course. Remember, these Samsung phones are not very easy to get into.

They require heating up the case along the edges to separate if any work needs to be done inside. Displays are great! Very vivid!.

I got my phone on 2 year contract with Sprint before the T-Mobile merger finalized during a President’s Day Sale. After all the awesome discounts plus free Hulu with ads for as long as I have this phone, I ultimately got this phone for free plus got discount on my Sprint bill for the duration of the 2 year discount.

No more bill discounts but still got my perks. This screen is tough! I can’t tell you how many times I have dropped this phone while in its protective case which can’t 100% protect the screen because of Samsung Galaxy screen curving up away from bevel giving it that vulnerable exposure.

I don’t have a screen protector and screen is virtually scratch free except for a crack in the corner. The absolute worst my phone survived was when I down a flight of concrete stairs, phone in hand with the case wide open resulting in the screen taking impacts from concrete.

Battery life is OK. You have to teach this phone how to save power and manage apps which is a let down compared to the S7’s device manager which performed way better. Not a fan of Bixby. She isn’t bright for an AI assistant and is a dumb memory devouring program that leaves you wanting to use Google Assistant instead, because I swear no matter how times I update Bixby it may ask me to install more modules before it finally does a task I gave it.

By the way, my Bixby ease drops on conversations but sleeps when I do say her name. Back to what I love. streaming Crunchy Roll, Hulu, Netflix, Disney Plus, YouTube, Sirius, and Spotify all worked effortlessly on this phone.

Great sound and graphics and I can always blow the screen up large on TV with my family’s Chromecast wirelessly. Bluetooth devices work great, even used an endoscope. Camera performance is at the mercy of Samsung software updates.

At 1st I thought camera only a little better than my S7 but it is actually a whole lot better! Last few program updates unlocked true potential of camera. I even watched video tutorials from Samsung for achieving best results with photography with phone.

Actually that is another nice feature is the new tips that occasionally pop up to teach you more about using your S9 and updated features. Looking to upgrade to S21 or S22.

Excellent phone, even in 2021. It still checks off all the absolute essentials– good call quality, loud speakers, good volume. And it still holds up relatively well in the “extras” department. Display is still gorgeous, love the flat camera on the back, and though it is just a single lense, it still takes photos that are plenty sufficient for typical use.

Still snappy going through the UI, and still has a headphone jack. Stereo speakers are a bonus. I got mine in lilac purple and think it looks quite gorgeous. Slapped a Joker wallpaper on it to fit the purple color.

Still holds up well against alot of 2019, 2020, and even some 2021 flagships. It does not recieve major OS updates anymore, but it still receives critical security updates that help keep it running succificently and securely.

Bought this for $200 after the motherboard in my S20 went bad(replacement would have been $500, over half what I paid for it) and feel like that was a steal, and I’m not missing a whole lot from my S20.

S9 can absolutely still hang today here in the last quarter of 2021. Only knock is the battery, which IS quite weak, even with degradation considered, but it does charge back up quite rapidly. For that, I’d take half a star off if I could, but I wouldn’t remove a full star, as I feel 80% is a low grade for this phone.

Holy Shxt, this is the best phone I’ve ever owned. I dropped my phone near Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco around 6:30 at night, and hadn’t realized until I was already 30 min away. My girlfriend and I were stopped in a highway blockage on the way back because some guy improperly strapped his wooden furniture, the furniture falls off the back of the truck and wooden pieces go across the entire highway.

We wait for about 20 min for the highway to clear. We get back to Ghirardelli Square snd I start trying to locate my phone by calling it and I doesn’t even go to voicemail, all it says is, “this wireless customer can not be reached.

We look around the beach, park and parking lot and its nowhere to be seen. I try to locate it with Google find phone, and after about 10 minutes of trying to find the map that shows the location of my phone I finally find it.

I see it on the map in the San Francisco Bay. My gf and I run over and look out into the water to see if we can find anything and she spots a faint light coming from the ocean. I dropped it in the sand and the waves carried it out 10-15 feet and into about 4-5 foot deep water.

I take off my clothes and rush out to get it. As I pick it up, I feel it halfway submerged into the sand floor, sand running down my arms and hands as I hoist my phone out of the water. I run quickly back to shore and start rapidly drying it.

I rinsed it off so I don’t get salt corrosion but it was submerged under the ocean, in the sand for about a total time of hour and half. As of right now (12:27 am the time I wrote this) the phones seems to have no problems at all.

Told my husband I got him an awesome gift for Christmas. When he opened the package he was in shock because that was the LASTTT thing he expected to get. None of us could stop laughing for ten minutes and by the end of our laughing session he agreed to wear it in public.

Got this phone about a year ago and at first I would have given it a 4 or 5 star. However, in recent months I have had a major issue with charging. After about a month of use with a generic charger the phone will decide that it no long wants to use that charger.

This has happened twice for me now. I will plug in a charger and minutes until full will go from 20 minutes to 40 minutes (and sometimes even over an hour). There seems to be absolutely no reason for this as it charged just fine the day before and even fine for about 15 seconds when I first plug in a charger.

I have never had this issue with any other phone that I have had in the past. The battery also doesn’t hold for as long whenever this happens which is a pain. I hate having my phone plugged in and watching it lose power.

It more than likely does this so you have to buy a 50 dollar charger from the company instead of using one you can find at any store.

Poorest brand in customer service Never buy this Samsung A21S model as I buy from the offline store I face the screen touch issue. So that complain in Samsung care. You will know that How pathetic Samsung services if you fully read my case.

When I first call to Samsung care that I face a screen touch issue they said that go to the dealer where you purchase the mobile. The dealer will replace your mobile. So I go to the dealer, he denied the replacement and said that ask Samsung for a letter to replace the mobile.

I asked Samsung for the letter, Samsung informs me that they first have to check my mobile after that they will issue a refund. So I go to the service center and explain my issue. They check my mobile and inform me that don’t use a thick screen protector.

Once again I remove the screen protector and ask Samsung which screen protector will be suitable for my mobile. AS per information from Samsung, I replace the screen protector. But still, now the phone is not working as it has to.

They ask me to submit my mobile for the further technical check. So I handover to Samsung care. I got the call from Samsung that you don’t have to use any screen protector for working of screen touch.

The conclusion is that despite solving the issue in mobile they suggest me to use the phone without a screen protector. And if anything damage occurs to the screen protector the Samsung is not liable.

It’s already 20 days since I complain to Samsung but still, now my issue is not solved.

This is my first ever smartphone, and I don’t want or need a gizmo with lots of technical bells and whistles, which would take me ages to learn. I want to make phone calls, exchange texts or WhatsApp, check emails when I’m on the move, and use GPS to show my position on a map when I’m walking or cycling in the countryside.

The phone does all these things fine. I often have difficulty getting online while out in the countryside, but don’t know if this is my inability or just that there is no signal in the middle of nowhere.

I’m really not interested in all the other clever things it can do: play games, watch movies, listen to music, take photos, fill my screen with apps and widgets. I’m sure it can do these things – I just haven’t tried.

As a technophobe, I got the phone up and running fairly easily. I wish there were not so many settings to fiddle with, but that’s what clever gadgets come with these days. Looks, smart, easy to use the functions I want, recharges quickly, so I’m satisfied with my first smartphone.

My last phone, 2G, lasted 12 years, so I expect the same of this one!.

I had a OnePlus from 2017-2021, which had never given me any problems besides the battery not holding a charge as long as it used to. I brought the Galaxy S10 on April 2021 and it didn’t even last 5 months.

Phone fell from the couch to the floor and anyone who saw if afterwards would think it had fallen off a scryscaper and run over by a bus. The screen and lcd got completely destroyed with pieces of it on the floor and sticking out of it like small daggers.

After paying a good amount to get it fixed I realize that the camera also got destroyed on that ever so deadly fall from the couch. My girlfriend thought I was crazy when I complained about how trash the phone is.

Fast forward a little bit and she ends up purchasing the Galaxy s20 ultra. Damn thing has a screen protector and a bazooka resistant looking thick case. She ended up dropping it while putting it in her pocket.

Lo and behold she picks it up only to find her phone looking like it went 12 rounds with Mike Tyson in his prime after finding out you slept with his mom. She ends up paying a small fortune to get it repaired and BAM! Her front camera is no longer functional.

That deadly fall from her pocket ended up destroying not only the screen but her front camera as well. God forbid these phones ever have a real fall. They’d probably explode and take out anyone in the near vicinity.

Lesson learned, steering clear of Samsung phones.

I’ve never been so frustrated in the first week of owning a phone as I have with owning the Galaxy S10. Don’t get me started on Bixby and trying to disable that useless piece of technology. You can’t.

I was able to set it to only come on with two button pushes instead of one, but removing it from your phone is impossible. I used Smart switch to put all my old apps on the phone and something on the phone was running constantly in the background and making it overheat.

I had the hard reset it and install one out at a time. Maybe the app’s fault? Maybe the phones fault? I don’t know, but it didn’t do it on my pixel. And if you have screen lock with a code or fingerprint, why would you need accidental touch protection? My alarm is going off at 4:15 a.

m. and I’m hitting buttons trying to stop it, and it’s got accidental swipe protection just in case I might be accidentally swiping buttons. Going to protect me from a butt dial? How about using some common sense that my screen lock code would protect me from that.

I was able to restart the phone, but stopping the alarm was not an option. Frustrating. There is some serious common sense missing from how this phone comes to you out of the box.

I was so excited to get my new phone eventhough I spent a fortune on my new Samsung S10. It is the worst phone I’ve ever owned. It freezes, battery life is useless and it’s the slowest loading phone ever.

Compared to a $50 Track Phone, the cheap phone is better. The mic feature doesn’t work half the time and my photos look horrible. My cat can’t even take a good picture and she’s not so picky. I’ve has these problems from day one.

I complained to the carrier which offered nothing except excuses until the return time had expired. That was TMobile. Either the person I needed to speak with was out, or their systems were down, etc.

There was always an excuse. I also purchased a Samsung tablet to go with my new Samsung phone and it’s the same way, slow and half my apps either freeze or close. That’s close $1600 I wasted on Samsung products.

My Amazon Fire performs better and is faster loading than my Samsung. I will never purchase another Samsung product even if its the only brand available. I’d rather do without. I’m not sure if I’d even take a free Samsung product.

Always in such a hurry to get that new improved product out at the cost of quality. People deserve better for that much money.

I finally upgraded from my Note 10+ that I got at launch all the way back in 2019, and my experience with the ultra relative to it has been pretty positive. But while the S line has been on a bumpy road with features additions, removals, combinations, and design changes, the only thing radically different between 2019 Note and 2022 Ultra is the 44 extra pixels of height on the display.

It’s the same boxy design (which I like), the same curved sides (thankfully much less intense this time around), same S pen (almost exactly the same even), and the same Samsung experience we’ve gotten used to with OneUI.

However, I am happy I upgraded, because while I didn’t gain any features, everything I had before has been upgraded and tweaked to be smoother, quicker, and more powerful. The display is much brighter, and is just as easily viewable outside on a bright day as it is inside at night.

The battery, while I’ve heard it’s lesser than the S21 Ultra, is still miles ahead of the 5-6 hours my Note was left with by the time I upgraded (I had never replaced the battery), I’ll easily get 8 or 9 hours off a full charge and I’d consider myself a power user with many background apps as well as processing heavy daily tasks.

S Pen thankfully has all of the features it did before, I’m one of the few who finds practical use for Air Command when watching YouTube propped on a table and don’t need to reach my arm across to skip or change the volume, and especially when taking photos from distances or if I need to hold a specific angle and tapping the shutter button would ruin it (I can’t be the only one with that problem right?).

Speaking of photos, the cameras live up to the hype on this year’s Ultra. I’d heard complaints and gripes since the S20 but when I finally jumped it seems Samsung has ironed out most of those. Point and shoot picture taking, without any fancy zooming or photo modes, is class leading, and while you lose zoom options in the true 108 MP mode having a photo with a ton of detail can be cool and enhance it in most situations.

Wide angle is basically perfect, with the great color and detail persisting across the lenses, and the zoom is mind blowing and very freeing. The best uses I’ve found for the zoom are wildlife or nature photos, where you can frame something exactly and get it in crisp detail.

Zooming up to 60x is usually the most you’ll get away with, although I’ve managed to get a couple stunning shots at 100x, which is impossible on my brother’s S21 Ultra. The night mode is so good it’s almost a catch-22 (pun intended), if you take a picture at night it’ll automatically do a long exposure night mode photo and the result just looks like daytime, complete with blue skies.

This does mean if you want to preserve the dark night look, some adjustments or post touchups will be needed, although it’s better to capture all the detail now and adjust later than to lose it all in the dark from the beginning.

A good tip for using the camera is that photos never end up how they do from the viewfinder, there’s a ton of post process done on every one (something you can turn off in pro mode if it’s not your fancy) so you might just need to take a photo to see if it’ll be good.

Video performance is pretty good but can be hit or miss, although admittedly I don’t take many videos. The same great color performance carries through most of the time but lighting can be a bit off, especially when you have a bright light in a dark room (i.

e. a TV screen in a room at night) but it’s usually taken care of with quick adjustments with the brightness slider. A good benchmark for video lighting is plays, as in live actors across a stage. Being a large dark room and wanting to capture what’s going on can be tough for a lot of cameras but with a couple taps the S22 catches up and creates a surprisingly balanced and detailed video from what would normally be very non-optimal circumstances for phone cameras.

Overall I think it’s definitely an Ultra phone, it’s got all the big numbers and lives up to them for me, even if they might not have in the device’s between my Note and now. And while there aren’t any new features compared to my Note, it doesn’t mean this isn’t the swiss army knife of phones, heck, electronic devices.

As a tech enthused type I often need to do specific tasks for this and that and in specific ways for this device or that one, and this phone works every time when I use it, although for productivity my desktop computer is my first choice when I’m home.

Samsung has made a very refined device, bringing all the best features from past devices and upgrading them to truly be worthy of the name Ultra. I’d recommend the phone to anyone looking for the absolute highest across the board, even if it doesn’t do anything incredibly interesting like fold in half or have a ring light built in.

I bought this phone, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the best variant of their 2022 flagships, a month ago and I absolutely love it. It’s the best phone I’ve ever had, and that does sound cliche, but I will explain why I say this.

Samsung is a consumer electronics company that’s been around for over sixty years – it’s absolutely clear that they know their material. Their camera features which they’ve built into this device are absolutely above and beyond what I’ve seen on other phones, and even other dedicated cameras! I believe I read that consumer electronics companies (maybe it was just Samsung themselves!) decided that the best camera a consumer has is the one that is on their person at all times – Samsung most definitely follow this philosophy closely.

The cycle for taking a single, simple yet extremely high-quality, high-resolution (nominally 4000×3000 pixels – depending on color range and variety going up to six megabytes) picture can be completed in maybe five seconds depending on how long it takes to line up the shot – a grid and AI can assist with this – but if you can spare 15, you can make a Single Take session, which captures multiple photos and videos from different angles.

And there are professional features included which I have not yet explored. The customization afforded to the user compared to my previous phones, which due to their operating system have been comparatively locked down, is absolutely overwhelming.

I don’t believe I’ve discovered half of what this phone can do at its core, and I’ve got a while yet, I suppose, before I do. From motion wallpaper, custom icons and sounds for each app, multiple home screens and widgets, to varied ways to navigate the phone’s interface – including eliminating the navigation bar and going full gesture mode on the full display – you’ll never lack ways to make this phone your own.

Samsung also have you covered with this phone if you use a computer heavily! If you use Windows 10 or 11, you can use their app called Phone Link, together with the Link to Windows feature on the phone, to send and receive messages, make and receive calls, look at and transfer pictures, and stream the screen wirelessly! The best part of computer integration is this: There is a feature called DeX, for Desktop eXperience, which describes it to a tee! Download the special app on Windows or other platforms, connect via a USB-C cable, USB-C to A cable or (most conveniently) wirelessly, and you have a whole other operating system overlaid, but integrated with the host! Here, the potential for interoperability is greatly increased, and some phone apps have greatly expanded UX (User eXperience) if used on a desktop – many times you can access their tablet interface or even other special functions! Bottom line – get this phone if you want a full exploration of all that consumer mobile devices can do, and many things you didn’t even know were possible on handheld devices!.

I’ll try to make this review short and concise as there are probably plenty of detailed reviews that have been written or video recorded. I’ll try to breakdown the areas which I have a problem with after I give an overview perspective.

Overview Perspective Having not owned a Samsung smartphone in close to 10 years (my last device was a Note 3) I can see that Samsung has come a LONNNNNGGG way in improving the design and functionality of their devices.

The S22 Ultra is definitely one of the best Android devices of 2022 and with Samsung’s commitment to 4 years of OS upgrades and 5 years of security patches, the S22 Ultra will be a solid device for years to come.

Area of Contention #1: Software. Touchw. I mean Samsung One UI (;-) is a MARKED improvement over Touchwiz of yore – however, it is still a fairly “heavy” Android skin that seems to still stand to be improved upon quite a bit.

I am coming from a OnePlus 7 Pro (still running the ORIGINAL Oxygen OS (11)) and OnePlus WAS known for having a light Android skin tweaked for performance and battery life. Samsung could take some direction from OnePlus for tweaking their skin for better battery life and performance and leaving the extras that they add into their deployment of Android as plug-ins or software that can be loaded from the Galaxy Store.

One of my main gripes with the software concerns Bluetooth in the following regards: 1) The BT device menu popping up EACH TIME you turn on the BT radio (it is MIND NUMBINGLY ANNOYING) 2) Not being able to see the battery life of the connected BT device directly in the status bar (as I can on my OnePlus) (and instead having to long-press on the BT icon (when the device is connected) from quick settings to see the battery life of the connected device.

This is a HUGE miss and one that should be a STANDARD for Android as a whole (let alone the S22 Ultra). I could go on and on with other little details, but overall – OneUI has much room for improvement that I hope gets better with OneUI 5 and beyond.

Area of Contention #2: Battery Life I know that there are many factors involved in the battery life of a device and that battery life is a subjective topic person-to-person – HOWEVER, the battery life for the S22 Ultra SHOULD BE MUCH BETTER.

Yes, I can make it through a day on a charge (I have the charge setting enabled to limit charging to 85%) and I only charge my device when I need to and not every night (I am trying to extend the life of the battery for as long as possible).

However, with my OnePlus 7 Pro – I can EASILY make it a Day and a half before having to charge that device versus the S22 Ultra where I am true to have to top it up first thing in the morning following a previous day’s use.

I know that this is attributed to how the software and OS is optimized and there’s not much that I can do about it (other than uninstalling apps that I don’t use). Area of Contention #3: Speakers Performance.

Okay, there’s no easy or nice way to put this but. the speakers on the S22 Ultra are pure sh!t My OnePlus 7 Pro has a pair of speakers that blows the speakers on the S22 Ultra out of the water (and that device is 3+ years old!).

For a $1000+ device, I expected speakers to be top-of-the-line and competing with the speakers from iOS-based phones – but instead, they are just pure trash and that is unacceptable. If I didn’t invest so much into this device (case, screen protector, vinyl skins, etc.

) – I would highly consider trading this phone in for the new Pixel 7 Pro. I may even consider trading this in for the S23 Ultra if that device has an improvement in the speakers (volume output, better bass tones, etc.

) (YES, the speakers are THAT BAD). In conclusion, the S22 Ultra is a solid device that will MORE THAN fulfill your smartphone needs. It has areas that desperately need to be improved upon if Samsung continues to price this device in the $1000+ territory, but for the price, you’re getting a device that will serve its purpose and then some.

As a “Galaxy kind of woman”, I purchased the A21s (2021) between 2 & 3 months ago to unfortunately upgrade from my awesome S8+ edge. (After lots of good use, finally overheated due to me over working it & froze).

A much smaller budget was available for me and after much reading & thought, the A21s was in budget and had really good reviews everywhere. Never should I have wasted the only money I had on this. Worst phone I’ve ever had.

its been nothing but problem after problem, but the clincher came when I finally (after 2 weeks) started to set all my digital wallet & ID stuff. NO NFC. brand new Samsung Galaxy, Worldwide Covid, 2021.

ummmmm contactless shopping etc?!?!?!!!! Cashless society everywhere we look and are slowly being forced into everything digital and contactless, yet my favourite Samsung can’t give itself the basic respect of NFC being a basic standard.

ACTUALLY BOUGHT 2 OF THESE, ONE FOR MY WIFE AND ONE FOR ME AND THEY ARE CERTAINLY BETTER THAN OUR PREVIIOUS PHONES. FAR MORE TECHNICAL AND I GUESS WE’LL NEVER USE THEM TO THEIR FULL EXTENT, BUT I AM GETTING ON REALLY WELL WITH MINE.

IT HAS MANY, MANY FEATURES OVER AND ABOVE MY OTHER PHONE, BUT EVERYTHING I USED PREVIOUSLY, I CAN DO THE SAME WITH THIS WITH EASE. IT’S FASTER AND MORE INFORMATIVE DEPENDING ON THE APPS USED. EVERYTHING IS EASY TO USE AND INSTALL.

INITIAL SET UP WAS EASY AND ITS PROVING TO BE A “MONEY WELL SPENT PIECE OF KIT!” I HAVE LOOKED INTO THE BACKGROUND OF MY PHONE AND DISABLED LOTS OF UNNECESSARY NOTIFICATIONS THAT THESE THINGS HIDE, SO, HOPEFULLY IT WON’T FILL UP WITH UNWANTED JUNK.

ALSO, WITH THE INSTALLATION OF “SAMSUNG SMARTTHINGS APP” I CAN NOW PLAY MOVIES AND MUSIC ETC. , FROM MY MOBILE TO MY TV, BRILLIANT. ALL IN ALL WE ARE BOTH IMPRESSED AND NOW OWN A QUALITY SAMSUNG MOBILE.

It’s just okay for me, but it better last a LONG time for the price I paid. Phone is taller than my previous phone and doesn’t fit nicely hidden in my rear pocket anymore. It is super slippery and jumps out of my rear pocket every time I sit down (so forget pocketing the phone when wearing dress pants!).

Finding an inexpensive case from retail stores is pointless– none in stock except for one $50 clear case. Apparently there are three similar 5G phone models (based on carrier), but none use the same case size– really? And then there are the non-5G models whose cases are also different.

The edges of the phone are too sensitive– I cannot hold my phone without my fingers affecting something on the display. The screen brightness setting (slider) is buried two levels down (have to swipe down from the top, swipe down again and then go to the bottom of the screen for the slider).

To unlock the screen with a passcode requires a four-step process (double-tap the screen, swipe the screen, enter passcode, press OK). Lots of the typical bloatware that I don’t want and will never use.

The display icons in the top edge of the phone are too small (I still haven’t figured out the icon between the cell signal and wi-fi because I can’t see/read it. I wish the date were displayed at the top of the Notification bar next to the time.

I do like that the phone has a headphone jack. I like the ability to add a micro-SD memory card. Although it was not a selling point at the time, it would have been nice to have the wireless charging option (this phone doesn’t) especially for the price of the phone.

There was no trade in offer for this A71 5G model at the retail T-Mobile store, but there was for the A51 model– not sure why. Camera is okay, although the controls at the bottom 1/3 of the display don’t allow me to touch on that area of the photo to focus or set the brightness.

I don’t know what Bixby Voice is, but I don’t want it and it keeps wanting me to activate it (when I press the side key button too long) even though I disabled it. The side key on my previous phone was able to power off the phone when pressed-and-held– this phone doesn’t do that.

I have to unlock the phone screen, swipe down, touch the power off icon, and press another power off icon to turn off the phone. Bottom line is that I have a bunch more steps to follow for most features on this phone than my previous ‘ancient’ phone required.

Just bought the phone, been using it for a few days. There’s no real issues I personally have, but understand that you MUST go into buying gimmicks knowing that you MUST make concessions. This phone will not have the best screen, or be the strongest processor or durability wise, and its camera is years behind the quality of cameras on phones nowadays.

But what you’re getting is something different than just a regular phone. There are fun quirks that set this phone apart from the competition, but understand that you are going to sacrifice certain forms of reliability.

I own a professional camera, so I don’t care that this phone camera is the equivalent of something top of the line in 2018. I take good care of my phones, plus never (accidentally) drop them, so the fact that the hinge can theoretically be snapped in half is less of an issue for me.

The downsides FOR ME, are unimportant, so I prefer to use something fun compared to the “old reliable”. Products like the flip and fold phones show me that big corporations can actually create new and interesting tech instead of regurgitating the same product over and over again.

Even though Samsung is guilty with this as well, they have always been ahead of the competition when it comes to making interesting gimmicky side projects like the note line of phones, and edge line.

They eventually took X gimmick or idea, iterated on it, and released a better, more refined version. Case in point, the flip 4 is the first phone in this line that is really competitive with the competition.

For me, the product is around an 80 to 90/100 and I can’t ask for anything better for the price point and the tech out at the moment (thank you guys who used the flip 1 to 3 for beta testing the design), but for some people, the gimmick isn’t useful or fun enough for the price asked, and they might give it more of a 3 star review.

If you have the expectation that this phone should be better than the tried and true flat phones out there that has been done for more than a decade now, please don’t do that. Be pleasantly surprised for a quirky, slightly flawed product that comes so close to the current best phones on the market.

But remember, those phones don’t flip. This review is coming from a guy who bought the lavender color, 128 gb model, and I’ve been using the Samsung S 10 before this, the S 7 edge before that, the Note 4 before that, the IPhone 4S before that (cough cough), and a flip phone before that.

I’ve come full circle.

All these top-tier phones do all the same things quite excellently and this phone is no exception except for the lack of a telephoto lens, which may be a good thing if it helps not make the otherwise streamlined phone look like it growing several barnacles sticking out like the iPhone.

This phone of course adds the flip feature which appears to be perfectly implemented. The funny thing is, now that phones can do so many different things, Samsung completely dropped the ball with the most basic service, which is the Phone and Voicemail apps.

My previous two phones had the phone and voicemail integrated, transcribed my emails, and had many other features that are lacking in this phone. One would think that the new phone would be better, but no.

The phone and voicemail apps are two totally separate apps, so you can’t for instance, block a number after checking a voicemail without remembering the number and manually searching for that number in the other app.

If you want transcribed messages, Samsung has a weird workaround where you can have voicemails sent to the messaging app. So now we are involving three different apps in what used to be done in one. And to add insult to injury, I downloaded the Google app from the play store that does all these things well only to find that the voicemail feature is disabled when installed on a Samsung phone.

I guess just to force users to use Samsung’s convoluted apps whether they want to or not. This poor software implementation is almost a dealbreaker and part of me wants to send this phone back despite the fact that it is wonderful in every other way.

I bought the Galaxy Z Flip4 phone a month ago, and am trading it in for the S22 model. In my opinion, the flip phone is a solution looking for a problem. Since my S10 was broken, I didn’t research the flip model enough, and made a quick decision based on the novelty of the product.

First, I usually carry my phone in a pocket, which has never caused any discomfort when sitting in a chair or car. I also carry my phone in my bike jersey pocket. When folded, the flip phone feels like a can of chew when I sit down.

At least I imagine that it feels like a can of chew. It’s simply too bulky and in the fold mode, and a hassle to open all the time when making a call or text communicating. I could accept and adapt to this, but the biggest problem is that this phone doesn’t position well with all of my wireless charger pads and stands.

The phone battery charge area is positioned in the bottom flip, which requires the phone to be completely folded or folded at greater than 90 degrees to prevent it from slightly tipping and losing charge connection.

I doesn’t lay flat very well on the round charger pads, and for the upright stands, the “sweet spot” for charging is so small that any movement in the phone results in losing the charge connection. The charging location is also too sensitive to keep connected when I position the phone on the console charging pad in my car.

Just a slight bump moves the phone enough to lose the connection. So at this time, I would only recommend the flip phone if you want to get attention from others, who think it that a folding phone looks curious and cool.

I’m looking forward to the S22 replacement phone.

If you’re buying this phone I will assume you’ve done your homework. You know you’re getting s20 specs at a lower price, and it delivers. I will however caution anyone looking at this phone about the things you might not notice in reviews, and the things for which I’m knocking one star off: – The camera software doesn’t let you explicitly set the resolution of your photos, only the aspect ratio.

This is a ridiculous oversight by Samsung and kind of unforgivable for me since all of my past Samsung phones have had this feature. Not even the pro mode lets you set the resolution. – The haptics feel a bit off.

It’s hard to pinpoint but you can tell the vibration motor on this model in combination with the plastic back feels cheap compared to previous flagships. – The phone screen’s ratio is 20:9 which feels too tall.

On a large 6. 5″ screen the 20:9 ratio feels awkward in my hand even with big male hands. This is one of those you can’t tell in a video and have to feel for your self. Mileage may vary depending on what case you put on this beast.

Bottom Line: Battery life is amazing, the 120hz is smooth as butter, the display should have been 1440p but you won’t notice its only 1080p, the UI is packed to the gills with features and options. It’s solid, feel good buying it.

I bought the Samsung s20 fe 4g in October last year. I regret wasting my money on this phone, there are constant issues and almost a year later the phone still manages to come up with different, new faults, wow.

I really do not want to go back to Apple but guess I have no choice. Time to sacrifice ‘appearance’ and trendy cool android features to using an Apple phone that is more reliable in getting the important stuff right – for example, being able to answer calls and not have someone important like your family try to call you but reach your voice mail instead (why??), being able to hear the other person when you video call them through messenger app (this issue is recently new and is what’s finally pushing me over the edge to switch back to Apple).

Another issue with Samsung s20 fe is the adaptive brightness lighting constantly dims and brighten my screen for no reason at all despite my environment lighting not even changing. I’ve contact Samsung member support regarding this issue like 4 times and each time getting the same response – “this issue should be fixed with the next software update”, but doesn’t get fixed in the next software update.

I have updated software each time a new update is available (3 times already). Please save yourselves your hard-earned money and buy an Apple product instead!.

The device runs smooth, has a great display and a long battery. Runs multiple apps with no lag. The only issue that the camera has focus issues. This did get resolved with the 21 series. Samsung touts one of the best cameras in a smart phone.

For the average consumer this is the biggest priority. To come up short on the camera is almost a failed product in a mobile phone nowadays. Please let this phone be an example and an opportunity to learn from the mistakes made on the camera.

In turn those device is a great for learning about camera tech for future mobile device. Keep up the good work.
