20 Best White Wine For Fondue (2023 Updated)

I buy this regularly. I think the manufacturer must know how popular it is because they dont make it available in the 1. 5L bigger bottle to force you to buy more. Thats my theory anyway. This sauvignon blanc is very dry and has definite zing of tartness or sourness.

You may not like it if youre looking for a round, warm feel on the tongue because it veers towards sharpness. Tastes very good on its own or with seafood, sushi.

Not awful for being a renowned “cheap” wine. I would pick Barefoot over other competitors (Yellow Tail, Franzia, etc. ). Cheap price, decent flavor and good for pounding a few bottles on a not-so-special occasion.

This is something I would try to use as a base for a white sangria or wine cooler. If independent, local brands are not available or out of price range, I will opt for Barefoot. I definitely will go this route if looking for quantity rather than quality and it doesn’t disappoint, though it doesn’t impress either.

You get what you pay for, but it’s not half bad. I’d rather buy a bottle of this and drink at home than pay for an over priced glass of Ste Michelle in a restaurant.

If you like an Oaky Chardonnay you’ll love this! I love all the wines I’ve tried from this brand, and they get bonus points for the fun interactive labels. Bottom line is the price is good and the wine is great.

This chard is the right balance of woody and fruity, and is incredible with a roasted herbed chicken or pesto salmon!! Also a winner on Turkey holidays like thanksgiving. Only negative is it goes down SO easy!.

I LOVE THIS WINE! It’s not super fancy but it’s solid. Not only does it have an excellent price point, about $11, but it’s got just a teensy-weensy bit higher alcohol percentage, 16%. It’s a dryer Chardonnay and makes for a killer wine spritzer.

I also find the packaging super cool. It’s an Australian wine so you may not find it with regular Chardonnays. I’ve found it in the import wine section a few times. But don’t think that makes it a pretentious wine, though.

To sum it up: it’s dry, down-to-earth, strong and about $11 a bottle. Hands down my favorite white wine.

I don’t drink a lot or often but was intrigued when I saw this 20% ABV Hard Chard on sale for $3 at Target. This wine has a clean flavor that is slightly more fruity than expected for a Chardonnay. It is more crisp and definitely less heavy than expected as well.

I enjoyed this wine with a Mediterranean tapas platter. It is one I will purchase again soon!.

Barefoot vintard’s Riesling has been my #1 casual go-to wine since I discovered it seven years ago. This is NOT a snooty wine, but is PERFECT for casual gatherings or summer sipping. It is light, crisp, fruity with a bouquet that sweetly teases the nose.

This pairs beautifully with fish and shellfish (love it to counter the heavier, strong flavors of paella!), and is marvelous with simple fruit/cheese/meats charcuterie as well. I’ve introduced numerous friends over the years, and all.

even some rather blue-nosed ones. are surprised by its versatility and insouciant character.

I was trying to find a moscato that tasted like the one in the Italy pavilion at Disney Worlds Epcot. And this is pretty much spot on, if not the actual one they serve! It’s so smooth and sweet. No tangy tartness to it.

Very bubbly and refreshing. My forever go to, I believe I’ve purchased 5 bottles now.

The wine was good but weak. I purchased it through the Target Drive Up app mainly bc the description said it was 14% alcohol and I wanted to try something new. When I got it the bottle says 5% alcohol.

Tastes like kool-aid. Next time I’ll stick to Sutter Home for moscato.

Let’s start of with I am nowhere near a wine snob. Matter of fact, after this nonstop state of crisis we’ve all been living in for almost two years now has been enough to make the straightest arrow go astray.

At this point this existential crisis I’m obviously blindly maneuvering through has got me over a gigantic barrel of, you guessed it, wine folks. I’m pretty sure at this point I’d eat cat litter if it distorted this absolutely terrifying state of reality I’m being forced to stay present through as if I’m the one who decided to be an adult.

Ohhhh no, I’m a Toys R Us kid folks, through and through. I’m just legally allowed to by wine, such as the one I’m reviewing. And boy howdy, this one does the trick too. At this point I think I’ve burned off all taste buds from the Thunderbird I’ve tossed in the mix lately to spice things up.

I totally give this a7. 3 out of ten. Cheap, does NOT taste like swamp bottom, and absolutely will get you top notch liquored up, after 3 bottles though I highly recommend an adult supervisor. No one likes it when you accidently mistake their coat closet for the restroom.

This is honestly one of my favorite white zinfandels ! Very affordable and great taste , white Zinfandel if you aren’t familiar with it ; is medium not too sweet and not too dry. So if you are someone who like more sweet wines but kind of want to start transitioning into dry this is a good way to start ! Love love love their white Zinfandel!.

This is another great wine from the Woodbridge family. A dry not sweet fruity flavor. Great alone or with appetizers, a meal, salad anyway you like it. This is a great choice as a hostess gift or just a thank you for being you gift.

Another inexpensive but not cheap bottle. I hope you try this and enjoy as much as I do.

Obsessed! Apothic White is amazing. Like other apothic brand wines, it is full in terms of flavor and definitely on the sweeter side for a white. Some residual sugar in the glass, and notes of fruit on the nose.

I would definitely buy it again.

This is a solid drinkable white that most people will like. My husband is the white wine drinker and this is always appreciated. Not too sweet, but not as dry as I prefer. Still, this is the perfect bottle to bring a host for a dinner party or to a small gathering, because it pairs well and most people enjoy it.

It’s also not the cheapest on the rack, so that helps!.

I do really like this white blend of chardonnay, moscato and chenin blanc. I also do like all 3 of those whites on their own. It is a little sweet with a crisp aftertaste. Very refreshing and goes very well with lobster.

Gets you drunk for cheap but only if you can handle it tasting like straight rubbing alcohol .

It’s not bad for a cheap chardonnay. It’s a little more bold than the moscato, but still refreshing. Tastes of apple, pineapple, and white grape-ish. It’s a nice and relaxing wine to unwind with a glass and a favorite show or a book.

Around $9/bottle. A good buy!.

Great value. So much nicer to buy my wine on-line and pick it up. Prices are great and the selection is amazing. I’m a Cajun Chef and love the Gallo products for cooking and assisting the Chef, by the glass.

Great bottle of wine. Little more expensive than what I usually pay, but great for gift. Wine really does make a good gift. I love the more clearer wines the taste just seems to be better to me. Smooth flavor, great finish!! It’s worth it!!!! Enjoy❤️.

We have had three of these recently and love it because it is not grassy! It compares to many Sav Blanc’s that cost $20+. At this time we are not purchasing any others when this favorite is available for $13.

I was pleasantly shocked with how bright and lively this wine was. I have not found most California SBs to deliver that much green fruit flavors at this price point. Will be buying again.

Now that I’ve found this, all other value-priced, glass bottle wine is overrated. This is not your old auntie’s wine-in-a-box from 1995, so get that out of your head. It tastes better than ALL other boxed wines AND other “value-priced” bottled whites (think Yellow Tail, Barefoot, etc), it’s way cheaper per ounce, AND its packaging is better for the environment — please recycle the cardboard and especially the plastic liner according to your local recycling guidelines!.

Sometimes you just want to veg w/o breaking the budget. You can always make your own blends using a bit of this and a bit of that. Hectare’s versatility does the job from grunge to rock n’roll blend, pending mood, circumstances and company.

I was buying another box Chardonnay for the last couple years but the latest boxes were too acidic. I liked that Hectar Chardonnay was smooth, not acidic but the initial oak took me a little to get over.

The oak seems to fade with time/aeration in the caraf.

I’m already a big fan of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc so when I saw the new light version with only 70 calories a glass, I had to try it! I was curious if I would notice any difference compared to the original and I’m very impressed and happy to say it tastes exactly the same to me! Disregard reviews of people who say they don’t like this compared to other types of wines.

You want to read the reviews of people who already are Kim Crawford fans and read what they have to say. My vote is you won’t notice the difference so why not to go for the lighter version?! It’s less calories than my spiked seltzer’s so I can now have a glass of wine guilt free!.

This flee and tick medicine works well enough for a topical treatment. I like a pill better, but that being said this is nice because it’s good for all sizes of dog so if you have different sized dogs, it’s great! It also works really fast and is not really oily like most topical treatments are.

That’s nice because you do not have to feel like it’s going to rub off everywhere. I feel like it is pretty affordable as well. You also save money buying the one box with multiple treatments for multiple sized d[gs.

It is really a win win.

I am a big fan of Moscatos but wood bridge definitely takes the win for me ! Their products are also so delicious especially this one ! The only reason it’s a four star for me is because it’s one of the worse hangovers for me the next day if I drink to much ! But it goes away quick ! Would definitely recommend this.

I prefer sweet wines, though I have never met a wine i didn’t want to meet. Lol. Moscato are sweet and light, and this was no exception. I liked having this with a light dinner. Its affordable, by the glass, or by the bottle.

Color is straw yellow. On the nose, it’s very fruity with intense aromas of pear, apple and lime. Extremely soft on the palate, yet lively and vibrant with an acidity that gives a remarkable persistence.

My wife had this pinot on a NCL cruise and loved it, so we ordered it on line since it was hard to find locally and will definitely orderit again.

This was very good with the right kind of dinner. It smell fruity and light. I enjoyed the taste of this. The price was great too.

Light and fresh. Definitely acidic and bubbly. Like a flat prosceco with not a big punch. No after taste or heavy head feeling. Smooth. But sweet. Careful to drinkers with fruit allergies because this one could cause issues.

The product is fine but TW poses a half bottle as the same size picture as its 750 ml bottles. The price of two half bottles is astronomical compared to the price of one full size bottle. A rip-off for a half bottle with no recourse if you thought you were getting a full bottle talking with the Brookhaven manager.

Yes I received my order safety. You packaged the product well and secure. My family and friends loved Caposaldi Moscato bottles of wine. We found it sweet, light and bubbly. Taste so good and is wonderful for any occasion.

This Moscato is the most pleasing one I’ve yet to taste. The wine is slightly effervescent, and I tend to detect notes of blood orange as well as other citrus fruits. This wine is quite sweet, but it is pleasantly acidic so it’s not cloying and finishes very cleanly.

I haven’t yet found a food that this wine could not accompany, but it’s fantastic on its own as well.

This wine is the absolute best. They don’t carry it in my general order so I have order it. Just wish the shipping was more reasonably priced so I could order more and more offen!

This Pinot Grigio is amazing. Great, not too expensive, but I sometimes can’t find it. Price is great for a such a good tasting wine. Ive tried a lot of Pinot Grigio but this is one is one of the best cheap ones.

Sniffing the aroma of this off the top, there is something that smells like vomit. Well maybe that isn’t entirely fair, maybe I should say papaya instead of “vomit”. This tastes like a cheaper quality wine, but not the very bottom cheapest and worst.

There are some notes in there kind of like apple and pear, and some mildly pleasant winey feeling. Also a little bit lactic (like the bad part in chardonnay), and just a little butyric and “dirty”. This is drinkable, I guess, would probably be okay to serve at a party with people you don’t know very well and don’t care about.

If this were just a little bit worse I’d dump it down the drain, but probably won’t.

Even though I have had a preference for red wine, this has become my favorite hot summer wine. Chilled and served cold on a hot summer day, so refreshing. The apple and pear tastes come through. Frankly I drink with salmon from grill or with marinara spaghetti, goes with anything.

I love almost any white wine under $12, but this one was very average. My favorite was out of stock, so this one was recommended as a similar alternative. Maybe that’s where I went wrong in comparing it to my favorite, but it was not anything special to me.

Good but there is better out there.
