20 Best White Wine For Bolognese (2023 Updated)

I call it “Everyday wine” because it’s light and crispy and perfect to enjoy a glass after a long day at work. I don’t like sweet, dry or heavy wines so this one is my wine to go. The most important it needs to be chilled! Also sometimes I add frozen strawberries to give it a little bit fruity flavor.

If I want a glass of wine, but don’t want to get lightheaded – I mix wine with seltzer and have sparkly bubbly wine. Way better and healthier option than other sparkly drinks.

Great go-to reasonably priced Pinot Grigio. Fresh crisp taste and dependable. It is sold as the house wine at two of our favorite restaurants. If you see it on the menu (both restaurants are national chains) order a glass with confidence.

It will not disappoint.

This is one of my favorite white wines. It is very crisp and clean tasting. With the first sip, you can taste the pear notes. It doesn’t leave a bad aftertaste in my mouth. It goes perfectly with Dinner, or a night out.

I have tried many other brands, but I always come back to this as my favorite. I definitely recommend it.

We are great fans of this wine and buy it when on offer. However, we were really disappointed with these three bottles. The taste and aroma were nothing like the normal Oyster Bay and we have had to pour it down the sink.

Unable to claim a refund as did not test all three bottles in five days. Did other customers find this ?.

I introduced this brand to my sister and I think her world just opened up. I love the crisp, dry flavor of this wine. It pairs well with fruit or cheese and, honestly, tastes like a very expensive wine for the money.

It’s also a crowd favorite so you can never go wrong bringing this to a friend’s house for a little girl sip and chat time.

We must have had an off bottle. When I opened it there was an ominous pop. Pinot Gris is one of our favourite wines. I haven’t bought this brand before and probably won’t again. It may just be this bottle but I won’t risk it again.

Ecco is one of the worst Pinot Grigios I have ever had. If I go to a restaurant and its the only Pinot Grigio brand offered, I find something else to drink! This is a cheap wine and it tastes like a cheap wine.

It is a very fruity wine. The only positive I can say is that it is light-bodied, which I like in my Pinot Grigios. There are so many better alternatives.

This has quickly become my favorite. I’m not a wine person. I don’t know all the wine lingo. I like whites and roses that are light maybe a little sweet. I wouldn’t consider this wine sweet, it’s refreshing.

I don’t mind drinking this with dinner or sipping with friends.

I absolutely love Ecco Domani. You literally can not go wrong. It’s cheap, tastes great, and is always available. This is also the only wine I ever use for cooking. It has more of a citrusy bite to it than using a Chardonnay so it makes for perfect shrimp scampi.

The Gallo white wine is a favorite at home. When we do a blind taste testing night, Gallo always wins. It’s a full, almost syrup like wine with a smooth taste. We absolutely adore it at home and I would most definitely recommend you to try this wine.

Oftentimes Sauvignon Blanc is too lemongrassy for me, though I still like it. Joel Gott’s is delicious. Slightly earthy with no aftertaste. Definitely buying again. Deserves it’s 92 rating.

Fruit driven with subtle oak influences. It’s fresh, apple, vanilla and spice tones goes down smooth. Velvety finish. Pairs great with any chicken and seafood (especially Lobster) dishes.

This was on sale so I gave it a try. Pleasantly surprised by how crisp and tasty this California sauvignon blanc was. Wine spectator shows it’s the only wine in the Top 25 that’s under $15. Worth it.

Wine is one of the most difficult products to rate objectively. Even the most respected wine connoisseur is reviewing each product subjectively, despite having seemingly universally applicable characteristics to compare.

That said, my choices of wines are based on three factors: variety, taste and price. To me, the best overall wines in America come from the Columbia river valley. This comment is regarding the Chateau Ste.

Michelle Chardonnay. The generic version of this wine is crisp and taste is comparable to many higher-priced and even many varietals from this area. It stands out (to me) primarily because of its quality and because it is under $10 almost everywhere except on a cruise ship.

I was looking for a Pinot grigio that was This is a medium bodied wine that has a crisp, white fruit aroma, that matches its taste. Very clean finish. Pairs well with salads and white meat, to include seafood.

Definitely serve this wine chilled. This is also a good start for those new to the wine world as well as those that shy away from white wine.

If you are like me, you’ve been searching for a decent, reasonably priced Italian Pinot Grigio and been routinely disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It wasn’t too dry and had a nice, very distinctive flavor.

While it should be served chilled, it kept its nice flavor even after the bottle sat on the table for an hour or so. When I tried the left-overs the next day, it still retained its pleasing flavor. I know there are higher priced versions similar to this but I would suggest you start here and, maybe, save a couple of dollars for a very decent wine.

I first discovered this wine in a local Greek restaurant. They told me that if I liked Pinto Grigio I’d love this and they were correct. A nice boldness with a hint of apples. I purchased two bottles the next day.

We ordered this at Seafood Restaurant. Both my husband and I truly enjoyed this wine. I made a trip to Katy to purchase several bottles. I don’t usually drink Pinot Grigio, but this wine is good.

All the basic elements needed for a delicious Pinot Gris can be found in this wine. Elements of citrus, lemon, green apple, hint of under ripe pairs. It executes a classic Pinot Gris but with a little extra when it comes to both flavor.

I found the aroma bit off putting and sulfur like at first after letting it sit in the glass for 10 min the aromas also evolved in a very pleasant manner. This would be a fantastic wine for all light hearted occasions: table wine, party, picnic, summer beach.

Value: 90/100 (5 stars) Taste: 63/100 (3 stars).

Normally like Sauvignon Blancs from New Zealand’s Marlboro region. This is one of our new favorites. Received it as a gift. Bought more after tasting Crisp refreshing with a nice quick finish and no lingering after taste.

Not really a wine connoisseur but have tried a bunch of Sau Blancs and this is very good and a little cheaper than Kim Crawford.

My friend in Minnesota had told me about this wine, it had won Best in Show for the Minnesota Food and Wine event this year. Had to try. Love the grapefruit nose and sweet grass and melon notes on the pallet.

Clean finish, too easy to have a 2nd glass.

Crisp and dry, Very drinkable in that it always leaves me feeling great the next morning.

Admittedly, I’m not a deep red Cab kind of wine fan. Give me a tawny port, and life is good. But Saracco is my go to favorite. Not super sweet like some, but don’t get me wrong. It’s a sweet wine. But not syrup like some moscatos.

Light. Crisp. Bubbly. And normally $13-$15. We serve it at the holidays by the case. It’s great to mix with orange juice for a sweet mimosa. (Add a little grand marnier!) Works well with cranberry too, or just as breakfast bubbly.

And it’s only 5%-6%, so super light and great for those new to wine. It’s literally been my favorite moscato for over 20 years. Enjoy!.

I honestly don’t like the taste of alcohol, but this one is a refreshingly sweet, fruity, and lightly bubbly white wine that has hardly an alcohol taste and is my new favorite. My friend introduced it to me as a dessert wine.

I am definitely not a wine connoisseur and I have not tried any other Moscato d’Asti, but if you like the sound of what I described, then you will like this one by Saracco. I found that Total Wine has the best local price for it and an even better deal if you purchase 6 or more.

It’s a very sweet and soft white. It goes down smooth and leaves your taste buds wanting more. I paired this with my favorite dinner; it made the overall meal and ambience better. Definitely recommend!.

My husband + I agree that the 2020 vintage of Bogle Chardonnay is superior to their 2021 vintage. Although the 2020 doesn’t taste like a classic Chardonnay, it’s a remarkable wonderful, light crisp wine for people who are not fond of Sauvignon Blanc.

This is my favorite weekday go-to Chardonnay! Great price and wonderfully oaky, full-bodied Chardonnay with a crisp start on the tongue, a good mouth feel, and a lovely, long and smooth finish. Recommend not serving too cold; serve at recommended Chardonnay temperature.

I used to sell this, and I tell people it’s great because it is made from grapes grown by 5 generations of farmers, not cellar rats or trust fund babies. If you try a great French chardonnay, or something elegant like Jordan chardonnay, it’s the same as this one-focus on growing outstanding grapes, curb the malo-lactic fermentation, and give it minimal oak-voila, perfect chardonnay.

This one over-delivers every time. Their Merlot is great too, we prefer it over the cab and pinot noir even.

This is the perfect sauvignon blanc. It is smooth, light, not too oaky, not bitter, fresh – YUM! Really great for a warm summer day. Easy drinking by itself or with food. Highly recommended, and an outstanding value.

I sampled 20 Sauvignon Blanc’s under $10 at Total Wine and Murphy Goode tied as the best available.

I usually prefer red wine, but I thought I would give this a try because I have really enjoyed Murphy-Goode’s red wines. I was surprised by how much I liked this! It has a nice flavor and is the perfect in-between of a sweet and dry wine.

I ordered this wine as gifts. I have had ithe wine before at a restaurant and really enjoyed it. I ordered if from Total Wine as they showed the product with the enhanced label I had at the restaurant not the cheaper packaging label found at local grocery store.

(No cork, twist top, cheap label). Local grocery store was $2. 00 less but again as gifts I wanted the enhanced label presentation. Guess what I received from Total Wine? Cheaper packaging not what was pictured on website, paid $2.

Had a class reunion at our home and someone brought a bottle. Loved it. Searched high and low and finally found it here. This is all we will drink now. Very mild and sweet. Only wish there was free shipping or we could find it locally.

You know. waking up after a long night of sipping the Boones to find out you punched your boyfriend in the face, stole the neighbors goat and threatened to burn down the mcdonalds at 3 in the morning because they would only let you order hash browns with your mcgriddle.

I’m sorry but what’s the point of an all day breakfast menu if you are still subjected to that soggy,greasy, after birth of a potato they call a hashbrown. Sorry, the Barefoot must have kicked in. 2 thumbs up and 2 middle fingers to the sky!.

Cupcake Branded Coscato D’Asti is an awesome wine for several reasons. The first reason that this wine is so so freaking awesome is because it tastes so delicious, seriously, it’s a sweet wine because both moscato and Asti are sweet wines and together there just heavenly.

Second reason for this wines awesomeness is the price is really affordable and priced low! Five stars all the way for taste and price!.

For the price this is a fantastic wine that I have paired with Sushi, Thai food, Spicy BBQ shrimp and used it in a Buerre Blanc sauce. Crisp and not that sweet with a hint of Honeydew melon and citrus.

Great for summertime outdoors and a real winner when paired with spicy dishes. We always keep several bottles on hand.

Nobilo Icon Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is my absolute favorite white wine. Anytime I am craving a glass of white wine, this is the one I choose. It’s crisp and light, a bit fruity but not too sweet.

It’s the perfect balance of flavors for my preference.

Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc is my house wine. I serve it to myself and guests. It’s consistently good regardless of the vintage. I occasionally buy a more upscale Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc to see if the extra ten or twelve dollars really makes an appreciable difference in our enjoyment.

It hasn’t happened yet.

The BEST white for the price. I actually cannot believe the price. So perfectly delicious I immediately thought of a white peach when drinking it. I saw a review which noted it’s acidity… definitely was not an issue for me.

I do prefer fruit forward whites. I will be buying this as long as it’s available; which hopefully is for the rest of my life time. 😋.

This is the sixth case of Pine Ridge CBV that I have purchased over the years. It is a great wine for sipping, for Thanksgiving, and for veggie (white) lasagna. The Total Wine pricing for this gem is also a big plus; historically I have paid up to $4 more per bottle at other wine shops.

Now I buy it at Total Wine where it almost always in stock.

Chenin Blanc and Viognier are two of my favorite grapes and I don’t think they’re blended together very often, so this one’s pretty fun. I’ve had previous vintages of Pine Ridge that were excellent for the price but the 2020 vintage was unfortunately out of balance.

The acidity is just too high. Previous vintages were pretty harmonious… maybe the 2020 will integrate with a little time.

Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc is a simple, full bodied, dry white wine, with distinct fruit flavors. It pairs with lemony sauces on fish veal or chicken, lemony soups, and lemony dressings ion salads. It is unlike the usual watery, nearly flavorless sauvignon blancs.

Very refreshing and perfect for a warm, summer’s day. Perfectly paired with chicken, seafood, etc. This is my absolute go-to. Also, it’s not overly expensive, and can be purchased at your local Safeway (although I recommend a trip to the vineyard).

Duckhorn is a well known brand with a good reputation. It has citrus and tropical flavors that provide refreshing acidity. For me personally, it’s not worth the price. Which is around $32. If someone were to bring a bottle of it over I certainly wouldn’t complain ; ).
