20 Best White Sauce For Pizza (2023 Updated)

This cheese sauce was the perfect addition to my menu planning. The consistency was perfect, it was not overly salty and it heated perfectly to add to my meals, I used it for a total of 21 separate food dishes and I can’t believe how well all of it came to use.

Most of the meal planning went to the freezer but we kept one meal out for the kids to try immediately. The Mac and cheese turned out perfect and the consistency was excellent. This review was collected as part of a promotion, and the opinions are my own.

Love to cook with garlic but hate smelling it on your hands for days after?! This is the product for you! I switched to canned chopped garlic a few years ago and haven’t switched back. Its awesome! Just scoop some out with a spoon and you no longer have to worry about peeling, chopping, and washing away the smell! I’ve found the canned garlic is not as strong as fresh so just use a little more and you’re good to go!.

I was recently in a rush to make dinner quickly and I needed some fresh garlic but didn’t have the time to chop it so I went ahead and bought this instead. Let’s just say it was the best culinary decision I’ve made in regards to cooking at a quick pace.

Definitely worth the purchase.

I love cooking with this garlic and I like that it’s such a small container. That way I can get a big one for my boyfriend to scarf down and this one for cooking. Haha! Great flavor to it though.

Have used this often, easy to make linguine (or any pasta) with clam sauce. I add a can or 2 of minced/diced clams, EVOO, usually more garlic, chives, parm cheese. quick and easy, one pan, and topped with shredded mozzarella melted in micro, can’t go wrong.

Impressive looking dish for family or company. Add crisp bread slices and good to go. EASY! Cheaper than going out too. I add extra ingredients just because of my taste but no need to, personal preference only.

great from can alone.

It will never equal fresh made but it’s the best out there. I do add a small can of chopped clams if i have them (i like lots of clams) and usually minced garlic. If on hand, some white wine. That’s it.

I dont do linguini. i prefer thin spaghetti. Warm up a loaf of garlic Italian bread (NEVER Texas toast) to sop up the juices. Much cheaper than buying a few dozen fresh clams. And. it’s Progresso. They do it right.

i fed my kids made Big Pot of this Dish i make. Alfredo Sauce the Large Jar great value is best. Mix into drained cooked linquini then add the last ingredient Progresso Clam Sauce after cooking 10 mins in the pot to thicken then add you peel em precooked or frozen shrimp!! w Homemade pizzas extra cheese on italian bread.

I’m originally from Chicago and there is only 1 place I can even think of that had White BBQ sauce, and it was quite frankly, confusing to me. We first purchased this sauce at a local butcher and have literally eaten it on everything.

We tried 3 other brands of a White Sauce and a few Comeback Sauces and this is by far the best. Here are some things we have eaten it with other than typical BBQ. – Grilled Oysters. BTW it is best if you put it on cold on a hot grilled oyster.

-Anything you would eat w/ Ranch—- Such as Pizza. -Chocolate Bars- Kidding on that one but this sauce is so good it would be great on literally anything. -Used similar to a Mayo or sauce on a sandwich- especially roast beef.

Since purchasing we have recommended to a few others. We were last at the butcher and bought the last bottle yesterday so came online to buy direct. (Revival Butcher in Greenville, SC if Lane’s is curious).

Just made an order to try even more, can’t wait to get our delivery.

Saw ad and decided to try because it looked so good. Ordered small bottle wondering who in the world would need the big bottle of this stuff! That little bottle was gone in a week! Guess who now has big bottle? Favorite is movie watching with tater tots and Sorta White for dipping! Delicious!!!.

Believe it or not, I used this for the first time on hotdogs stacked high with melted cheese, grilled onions, and peppers. This really dressed up a fast meal fresh off the charcoal grill. It was great!.

This is hideously over-salted with a worryingly long and wholly unnecessary list of ingredients. About as far from a home made parsley sauce (plain flour, butter, milk and parsley) as it’s possible to get.

Certainly won’t be ruining a poached salmon with this again.

Beautiful tasting parsley sauce. Highly recommend. Can make any amount you want and to the consistency you want. Tastes delicious. Like it’s been made from scratch with fresh parsley.

Not liking fresh parsley, I was a little dubious about trying this sauce. However, I found it to be smooth and the parsley not to be overwhelming. The taste was a little pepper but again not too much.

I would definitely have this again.

It’s not bad. A little lackluster maybe, but it gets the job done. I made a pizza casserole with this, ground beef, pepperoni, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese baked in the oven. The sauce wasn’t amazing, but for low-carb pizza sauce I’ll take it.

If you can’t live without low-carb pizza sauce, give this a shot.

I don’t usually write reviews but this product surpassed my expectations. It is so good that I was eating it by the spoonful on its own, lol. Just a really good sauce with tomato being the dominant flavour which I like.

I don’t care for sauces when spices take over.

Taste good and its healthy. What else can I say? I won’t be buying other brands unless they use healthier ingredients like primal does. I sometimes do add a few drops of liquid stevia that gives this sauce a little sweeter flavor.

I also add a little garlic and Italian seasoning sometimes just to intensify the flavor.

This number ten can of Muy Fresco Queso Blanco Mild White Cheese Sauce is a crowd pleaser for sure. I have completely eliminated all other brands from our restaurant and have never been questioned by any customer.

The shelf life is perfect for our regular use and just try beating this great combination of cheese, peppers and spices. Will order again for sure. Also, I can’t say enough about the helpful and accommodating customer service rep.

Very good queso for a crowd. A little thick for a cheese fountain (it’s not really intended for that), but can be thinned out to the right consistency and flavor is maintained in doing so. My family loved it and we’re looking forward to sharing it with wedding guests in September.

Great product for mexican entrees and appetizers. We have used this in enchiladas and added some flavor via vegetables for an excellent dip. Rich, creamy and mild just as the description indicated. Will order again soon.

The item was right and it came on-time, but I ordered 4 jars. Instead of properly protecting each jar, the packer put 2 jars in each bubble wrap mailer inside the box and the jars were not protected from pounding together and they broke.

Glass jars should be individually wrapped for protection not put in a package together. The worst part was the REQUEST FOR REFUND which required me to bring broken jars of pasta sauce back to the store.

I’m not going to do that. Now if you wanted a picture, I would have done that, but not bringing broken glass covered in sauce to the store to prove to you that was the case. Ax that part. It was bad enough not having what I needed when I needed it.

Don’t make the experience worse.

Growing up I always loved Chicken Alfredo dishes. So as an adult I learned how to cook especially being a mother of four and love to use the Bertolli Alfredo. Wish I could make it from scratch more often but this is pure perfection for when the family wants an Italian never disappoints dish.

Mind you it pairs perfect with steak as well if you just want to have Alfredo pasta, as a side dish. Anyway, the sauce is quite delish and thick with the right amount of seasoning. Although I sometimes will put some extra mozzarella or asiago cheese or parmesan 🧀 for an extra cheesy kick.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I used the Botticelli Botticelli Alfredo 3PK to make dinner for the family tonight. We usually use a different brand but we all really liked this sauce.

It had a very cheesy flavor and was a nice thick sauce. I added mushroom and chicken to it and put it over rice. The only thing I would add next time would be some garlic. My father who is super picky even liked it and had two helpings of the Chicken Alfredo, which says a lot.

I only buy this type of applesauce. O was raised on home made. All veg and fruit was canned. all meat was frozen. We did not fo to grocery store for anything but fresh foods. This applesauce tastes like grandmas a bit of cinnamon and heat up.

My favorite apple sauce brand! I think it’s more natural and if has less sugar. It tastes amazing!

Mmm! Harvest Blend applesauce are yummy! my family enjoy the flavor of fresh apples. They enjoy it alone or with pieces of fruits or vegetables. They are healthy and contain no high fructose corn syrup which is not good specially if your sugar is high.

We can’t be without it.

i was consistently using Rao’s, which is incredibly expensive. I’m surprised how hard it is to find good premade alfredo sauce. i could just buy cream and parmesan and make it myself, but I’m lazy. well, bertolli exceeds expectations.

I’m confident buying this and eating it multiple times a week because it’s so well priced. tastes amazing, smooth and creamy. i have it with durum wheat spaghetti and jalapenos. i often cut in some sharp cheddar.

so easy to just throw together and not unhealthy. try it.

This is very good if you add fresh parmesan and Romano cheese to it. Melting them in not only adds much flavor it also thickened the sauce as it was too thin to my liking. I also added a good deal of fresh ground pepper as well as topped off the pasta dish with dried parmesan and Romano cheese which added a really nice “zing”.

It’s probably four star for a grocery shelf item so that’s why I gave it this rating. It doesn’t compare to a good restaurant quality but it most certainly did after adding all the extras.

When I make homemade pizzas, I only use Rao’s pizza sauce. It is just as good as the sauce I remember eating at their restaurant all those years ago back in NYC. It is the perfect base layer for any pizza, full of robust flavor that just can’t be found in many pizzerias today.

Whether I’m making a simple cheese pizza or turning that leftover French loaf of bread into a personal pizza lunch, it’s just right. I tend to buy multiple jars simultaneously so I never run out. You need this in your life, believe me!.

I keep this handy for pita/french bread pizzas. Great quick and easy lunch/snack. Being in a jar rather than a can makes it super convenient! The taste and texture are perfect for what I use it for, matched with tillamook shredded mozzarella and light Target brand finely shredded cheddar blend.

It tastes pretty much exactly like their marinara sauce, and has essentially the same consistency. Which is fine for a spaghetti sauce, but is downright uninspiring as a pizza sauce. For the price, it should be absolutely popping with dense tomato flavor.

This pesto sauce is quite tasty. It has a very basil forward flavor to it. I usually buy the refrigerated versions of pesto but I decided to try this version out this time. This version is a little more oily but other than that they are very comparable.

I personally like the versions you buy in the refrigerated section more but this was a very good alternative. This version is shelf stable until you open it and then you need to put it in the refrigerator.

To eat it I put it on flat bread with some cheese and chicken and then broil it but you could do almost anything with it. Overall this is a great buy for all your Italian meals.

I got the Barilla Classic Genovese Pesto Sauce and really the flavor in my kitchen was transformed. It is delicious, I have never tried it before but at home we all love it because you can use it when preparing sandwiches, or use it as a dressing in a good fish but especially in pasta it is an explosion of flavor with a rich touch of basil.

Its texture is creamy and smooth with high quality ingredients. I had always used other typical sauces for pasta but when I met this sauce I was captivated by its delicious flavor it is much better than traditional pesto sauces.

If you are looking to add a delicious flavor in your kitchen this Pesto sauce is the perfect solution. I can give it 5 stars.

I have this with my roast chicken dinner and it tastes amazing lovely and creamy and the texture is thick and perfect it complimented the chicken well. I found it even gave my vegetables a amazing taste.

It’s full of flavour and every bite gives you even more than the last. It only takes a couple of minutes to make and once you try it you will want it with all your roast dinners. I really think this is the perfect sauce for any roast and I will definitely be buying more.

I highly recommend this it’s amazing, my favourite sauce.

I’m honestly surprised how close this is to being homemade. I have only ever had this sauce homemade before with some roast chicken so this came as a surprise to me how much this feels and tastes like I made it myself.

It is full of flavour yet simple at the same time. Its right in the middle of how thick it can be as well which is perfect if more than one person is having it who like it thicker or thinner. I’m honestly so impressed.

I might actually save myself some time on my next dinner and just buy this.

Sunday dinner, isnt right if it hasnt got Bread Sauce. This stuff is genuinely lovely. There is just something so yummy about a proper roast potato drowning in gravy and bread sauce! This stuff was remarkably easy to make too.

I surprised myself by not managing to burn it. Jus treat yourself to a packet of Colmans Bread Sauce. Its the best in my opinion, easy to make, tasty and excellent value for money. Why wouldnt you?.

some one at ragu needs to be sent to Italy for a stern talking to in basic pasta sauces. im a pure blood american theres no italian in me and i can tell this is a horrible sauce, and id hesitate to call it alfredo sauce.

this sauce is an afront to italian food. for one this sauce tastes heavily of garlic, overpoweringly of garlic, and not cooked garlic either, its like they made the sauce and then added 50% by weight of raw pured garlic.

for 2 garlic isnt even supposed to be in alfredo sauce, alfredo sauce is 3 ingredients. cream, parmisan cheese, and pepper. and you build around that with the other parts of the dish like the chicken or pasta.

try making your own alfredo, whatever you put out will be better than this i guarantee it.

I have bought this sauce a few days ago with some fettuccine with the wish of making fettuccine Alfredo for the first time. Disclaimer that I have never tried any Alfredo sauce in my life time yet with the experience of a person who love food, cook and eat pasta multiple a week.

I can ensure you that this is the worse pasta I have ever put into my mouth. From the first time opening the jar, there is this funky, really bad smell punch me right in the face. I didn’t care, move on and made the dish.

When I taste the final product, indeed that it has a creamy and cheesy flavor. But the aftertaste is horrible, the smell of the sauce made me nauseous. Ended up throwing the whole thing in the trash.

spare yourself and do not buy this sauce. as soon as i opened the jar i knew i messed up. smells TERRIBLE. i can’t compare it to anything because it smells like nothing but chemicals. i’d already cooked everything else so i thought may as well just use it.

really wish i hadn’t. it tastes worst than it smells and ruined the entire meal. if you want a sauce that actually tastes like alfredo DO NOT choose ragu.

I love steaks and I love pairing it with this sauce. The price is good, it’s very affordable. It wont break the bank. There’s nothing that I would change about this product. I’m not sure if it’s a healthier choice because I haven’t been paying much attention the ingredients.

But taste wise, its really good. Must try!.

I’ve never had this before. and wasn’t familiar with it, so I asked some of my British friends. Had some last night as a dipper for a grilled hamburger patty. Wow! Cannot wait to explore using HP Sauce as an ingredient in meatloaf or as an add-in to a pan sauce or gravy.

Lovely flavor!.

It is delicious, very tasty and goes great on many things such as bacon, eggs hash browns and cheese. Also add it to my gravy as it has a rich dark flavour. No other sauce compares to this product as the others have a strong vinegar taste.

I would always buy this sauce.

Since getting a bread maker in January, I’ve been making more dishes myself. My son really wanted to try making pizza. I was hesitant because sauce is so important and I had no idea which to choose. I finally decided to try the Prego.

The result was amazing! We vowed to never buy a frozen pizza again. (A big deal for us because we bought frozen pizza at least twice a month. ) After having success with the Great Value brand pasta sauce, I decided to try the pizza sauce.

I will never buy the overpriced Prego again. This Great Value pizza sauce is just as good and way cheaper!.

I love this sauce! I make pizza muffins! I cut up the English muffins in half, then I ad one tea spoon of sauce, spread it around the muffins, then I add kraft Philadelphia cream triple cheese! Sprinkle the cheese around the muffins, then I pop them in the toaster oven for about 10 minutes on 400 degrees.

Be sure to poke the muffins with a fork to pop the hot pockets to release the steam. Then cut I them in half and enjoy!.

Great taste! Great price! Makes your pizza taste spectacular! This tastes better that the other pizza sauces! No need for improvement! This can make it on it’s own! I only buy this brand when I make homemade pizza.

I was so impressed by this pizza sauce. I immediately made it part of my routine order. Great taste balance of herbs and garlic. Once open, it keeps quite well (because you obviously do not need the whole jar for a pizza).

Worked great with mushrooms, chicken, shrimps, sauteed greens such as kale and spinach.

This white sauce is fabulous. Probably why they can not keep it in stock. Combine with Paleo pizza crust, organic chicken, organic and grass fed mozzarella plus extra basil fresh garlic and oregano with slices of plum tomato’s and you have a gourmet dinner for family of four.
